HP iPAQ Pocket PC hx2750 - Handheld - Windows Mobile 2003 SE - 3.5" color TFT ( 240 x 320 ) - Blueto

HP iPAQ Pocket PC hx2750 - Handheld - Windows Mobile 2003 SE - 3.5' color TFT - Bluetooth, Wi-FiYou don't see alot of HX2750s, but let me tell you, its not because they are not awesome. Fastest CPU (over 600Mhz), most memory, BT, WiFi and finger print reader. I installed tomtom on it and now its also my gps.

The finger print reader is so much easier to use then a password, you swipe and your done, smooth!

2 things i would have liked.

1. VGA display

2. GPS built in, rather then needing an adapter.

But hey, no one is perfect.

  • Hard plastic reinforces the edges, sides and back of the HTC EVO Shift 4G to prolong the life of this case and your phone.

Perfect fit. Snapped on in seconds. Stayed in place.

All cut outs for buttons and camera are correct.

Has a slight rubberized coating, not squishy, to help grip and I guess to absorb impact if dropped.

It is going through a vigorous testing from my 17yr old daughter, and passing with flying colors.

Save some money. We bought the 2pc. cover and a screen protector, including shipping, for less than half of what they wanted a the Sprint store.

Bought the new EVO shift and this case for it until they make an otterbox protective case.

It snaps on easily and does not interfere with the shift keyboard function at all. It is smooth to the touch and looks good. Assembly took sections. The good thing about this case is that it does not get in the way of your cord to plug it into the car to listen to your pandora or speaker/car speaker function.

Although it does not rate a 100% in protection it is overall a good case until they hopefully create an otterbox cover for it.

The product in general cwas a pretty good case as far as protection goes. Though, the seller is not very honest when it comes to how it really looked. I was looking forward to a lavender, very great color and it was dark poop purple. Very ugly!! All and all I was disappointed and I order all the time!! NO, I would NOT buy again!...

The phone case looks good! Not quite purple, more of a magenta/pink color. The front of the case (the part that goes around the screen) was difficult to get on, but once on, it fits nicely.

Great system. Make sure you get all the controls. We have it set so our Ipod is in one room but it can be played anywhere in the house or on the padio. Or if Someone has the ipod playing outside in another room someone can be listening to the radio etc. The system lets you have independent control of your sterio system in each room. Well worth the investment. It does take some time to set up and wire. I recommand this system to my customer when they are doing and major house renovation and the wiring can be installed with little efford.

This case fits my Acer Iconia perfectly and provides a decent amount of protection for it. I previously had my tablet in a leather "easel" case, but I gave the tablet to my wife and she wanted something lighter. This suits her just fine. It's not robust enough to ward off heavy abuse, however for normal use, it provides plenty of protection.

So I've tried a few, and honestly, I can't see how anyone justifies $30+ for any stylus other than the Hexa unless you use the Adonit Jot Pro. But the Adonit isn't the best for throwing into a bag or using haphazardly because the tip tends to break.

For everything else, there is the Elago Hexa. Solid build quality, true pen size, good weight, smooth nib, and a free replacement. The only negative I can come up with is that I would prefer that they some how magnetized the body so that it would stick to the iPad for transport.

HP Ipaq Bluetooth Folding Keyboard

HP Ipaq Bluetooth Folding Keyboard
  • BT Folding Keyboard
  • For H22x/H38xx
  • For H39x/H4100
  • For H51x/H54x

Pro ---

* Compact enough to fit into a jacket pocket, yet opens to a comfortable working size with full-sized keys, including a number row.

For those who do serious number entry to spreadsheets, this is decidedly a deal-maker over the Stowaway keyboard which requires alt-key combinations to access numbers and symbols. The full-size keys require no revamping of typing habits as does the miniaturized key spacing on the Freedom Keyboard.

To my knowledge, there is no other folding bluetooth keyboard on the market at the time of this writing which has *both* full-size keys *and* a number/symbol row.

* The bluetooth connection is clean, lag free, and accurate.

Con ---

* The software for gaining a connection is a bit cumbersome, requiring entry of a checkmark into a box with each use, and then an access code on a second screen with each battery replacement (see below).

* Flimsy Locking Mechanism / Not Usable on a Lap.

The manual tells us that a lock is provided to keep the opened keyboard flat "while on your lap or on a non-flat surface".

This "lock" is a single piece of wire about the thickness of an undone paperclip, which travels 7/8" along the top of the board from the left half into the right.

Even when locked, the keyboard doesn't lay flat, and with the center of the board hovering over the empty chasm between the user's legs, held in place only by one thin piece of wire, the two halves bend to an increasingly exaggerated "V" shape after any amount of light-handed typing.

HP could have saved themselves the trouble of this useless bit of cosmetics. A user must find a solid flat surface to type on, such as a book. And of course, when sitting on a flat surface, the lock isn't needed.

* The manual correctly tells us that one reason to use a wireless keyboard is to "enjoy the convenience of a wireless bluetooth connection up to 7 meters away from your...PocketPC". Unfortunately, the designers ignored this consideration when conceiving the non-removable cradle.

A quick look at the Freedom Keyboard's pull-out cradle offers HP a lesson in how to do it right.

* The keyboard ships with no case, as do most other portable keyboards with non-rugged exteriors. The attractive brushed metalic exterior of the folded case thereby scratches easily in a jacket pocket containing loose change or a set of keys.

* It doesn't turn off.

Yes, you read that last bullet correctly: You can't turn this thing off. There's no power switch.

The button in the upper right corner of the keyboard is to establish and disengage the wireless connection between the software and the handheld; it's not a power switch.

What this means is, even when folded and not in use, even when appearing to be dormant, and even when the software shows that there's no bluetooth connection, the keyboard is still eating your batteries.

The automatic "sleep mode" simply disables the wireless connection; it does not power down the keyboard.

Two weeks after putting in a fresh set of batteries and not using the keyboard, you'll return to find them dead. Not the coolest way to walk into a meeting full of executives expecting you to take notes.

The only way to power down the keyboard is to open the battery cover and remove the batteries. The battery cover, need I add, breaks easilly.

Sound unbelievable? Go to the major websites dedicated to PocketPCs, and do a search of their forums using the keywords "bluetooth keyboard". This is not a case of a know-nothing customer who needs to read the manual. The manual, such as it is, makes no mention of an absent power switch.

For the mobile user then, in addition to the keyboard itself, one need also travel with something stable to rest the board on, to have something to prop the handheld against if distance is desired, to carry the batteries separately, and to re-enter the access key into the software after reinserting those batteries.

Although the folded board will fit easily into a jacket pocket, the additional loose paraphernalia negates any usefulness of this mobile keyboard for the mobile user.

Add to that the marred exterior and bent lock after minimal use, the HP iPaq keyboard is worth perhaps 1/3 it's $100 retail price, and then only if a consumer absolutely requires the full-size keys and number row.

How HP ever expected anyone to sit still for this kind of idiocy eludes me.

All potential buyers of iPaq handhelds should take this keyboard as a reflection of what, if any, emphasis HP places on quality of design and the integrity of iPaq name.

It reflects also the degree of respect HP has for the intelligence of their customers. One might easily forgive a negative design attribute like the non-removable cradle, or the parsimony of not including a case. One might even forgive the useless locking mechanism.

But when HP is either too dumb to include an on/off switch, or they expect us to be so dumb to not notice or care, then I must seriously doubt the usefulness of other products bearing the iPaq name.

If HP is content to offer this marginally useful toy to consumers for $100, then I cannot believe enough magic exists in the world to suddenly make them sharp enough to produce a sophisticated device like a PocketPC for $300-400.

My next handheld upgrade, I'll probably stay with Fujitsu-Siemens Loox (I currently use a Loox720, a truly excellent PPC), or maybe go with a Dell Axim. I won't even consider an iPaq.

The HP Bluetooth keyboard is quite simply an offense to any consumer with even the vaguest and most forgiving sense of quality.

Those at HP responsible for protecting public perception of the iPaq brand name should be truly ashamed of themselves.

Buy HP Ipaq Bluetooth Folding Keyboard Now

I've had this keyboard for a little over a month. I'm a college student and purchased a PPC so that I can carry my notes and important dates, information, etc in my pocket.

Typically, a keyboard was, with the intention of using the ppc as a notebook, necessary.

The pro's are pretty much as pinxet mentioned, there's not much I can add.

The little lock to keep the keyboard flat is, as pinxet mentioned, useless.

the "/" button (also "?") is curiously placed to the right of the shift (on a normal qwerty keyboard it is to the left of the shift). So if you use the forward-slash or question mark frequently you will have to adjust your writing to get used to the unusual position of the key. (where the "/" would normally be for you fingers to type is the up-arrow key. So what ultimately ends up happening, when you want to type a question mark, is you hold down shift, press up, highligh one line of text and continue typing removing that line of text. Fortunately the ipaq word processor comes with an undo function.)

My only other concern is that I seem to be having problems connecting the keyboard to my cell phone. The phone identifies the keyboard and establishes a connection, but beyond that I can't seem to get the keyboard to type anything.

For students and anyone intending to use the ppc as a PC (perhaps a pocket laptop), this keyboard is priceless. I use it four to five times a day.

(and as such, I would highly recommend purchasing two pairs of rechargable batteries for it. Next time maybe HP will have a built in lithium battery, like all other accessories for electronics)

---

[edit 05/08]

It's been about three years now since I purchased this item. While I still use my ipaq for work after graduating from college, the keyboard has spent much of the last year gathering dust. The couple of times I have pulled it out to use it are when I am traveling back home or extended weekend visits at other cities.

This keyboard is great initially, but after a while charging and changing the batteries makes it impractical. If they come out with a bt keyboard that has a built in rechargeable battery it would be infinitely more tempting to get, even then, I wouldn't bet on it...

... Nor would I pay 100$ for another kb, chargeable batteries or not. The circumstances where it is really useful have been so limited.

I agree with many of these posters that HP's commitment to quality is not what it used to be. I don't get upset about it though, I simply vote with my wallet. For example, my new printer is a Canon and I recommend the Dell Axim not the iPAQ PDAs when asked.

I bought this Bluetooth keyboard because the folding keyboard I used would cause my iPAQ 4700 Pocket PC to reboot if it wiggled the connector at all while typing. The BT keyboard works geat.

My main complaint is the inexcusable lack of an off switch. The battery drains while it's not in use and is often completely dead when you need it.

While it's not a perfect solution, here's what I came up with... 3M, the makers of Post-It Notes makes little mylar flags. I use them for bookmarks in paperback books but their most common use is probably for marking where to sign multipage documents. One half the strip is unsticky mylar in a bright color and the other half is clear mylar with a sticky side. Open the battery compartment remove the right AAA battery. Next stick a Post-It strip on the battery near the bottom with the colored, uncoated mylar extending below the edge of the bottom of the battery. Next fold the colored mylar down over the negative terminal and insert it that way in the keyboard. Mylar is an insulator and cuts the circuit so the keyboard isn't draining the battery.

Next time you need to use the keyboard, pop out the battery, extend the mylar straight out over the other battery's side and put it back in.

Yes, this is a totally lame hack for a totally lame design deficiency, but it works... and other than the battery draining while not in use, I really like this keyboard.

Yes, the previous reviews are true! This product does have some quirky flaws that need to be ironed out. I occasionally use this keyboard (twice a week) so I'm more than happy to go through the struggles that accompany it. If I used it on a daily basis, I believe it would drive me crazy. Read the previous reviews, know what you're getting, and be happy if you decide to purchase. I did, and now I'm just happy to not have to use the stylus to input all of my information!

rooCASE Super Bubble Neoprene (Dark Blue / Black) Sleeve Case for Apple MacBook Air MC965LL/A MC966L

rooCASE Super Bubble Neoprene Sleeve Case for Apple MacBook Air MC965LL/A MC966LL/A MC503LL/A MC504LL/A 13.3-inch LaptopNOTE: I have previously given this product 2 stars when I first received it. After a week of using it to carry my macbook air at a conference, I felt the need to update my review to better reflect my opinion of this product.

PROS: This is a well-made case. The touch of color (blue in my case) looks great and distinguish itself against the other macbook cases without being too childish-looking. The inside is filled with bubbles which supposedly offer better protection of your laptop (only time will tell). having a zipped pocket on this sleeve is a huge advantage not only can I put my power adapter in, I can place a pen and notepad. At the conference this sleeve was all that I carried while walking to the different conference rooms. Very convenient and well-thought out by the designer.

CONS: Perhaps that this sleeve is more geared toward the macbook pro 13, as the size of this sleeve is definitely not custom-made for the macbook air. It is a bit too big, and the 13-inch air just slides around in the case. In comparison, I also ordered the Be.Ez case/sleeve, which fits the macbook air like a glove and gives it a solid feeling. It is also queestionable if the bubbles on the interior are protective they feel rough and may damage the laptop exterior while it slides around inside the case.

Overall I would say that this is a good quality case. But I just want to point out the + and so that each buyer can make his/her own decision.

I use this for my 2011 MacBook Air 13". The fit is pretty good, not perfect, but it covers the MacBook Air well. The bubble padding is very protective.

I usually put the MacBook Air in this case and directly into my carry on luggage or messenger bag. I'm confident this case will protect my MacBook.

The fit is a little loose and flexible for a MacBook Air 13" which is why I gave this 4 stars out of five. However, it doesn't hinder protection which is why I recommend it.

This was actually better than i expected therefore I gave it 5 stars rather than 4. Really nice padding inside the pouch and plenty of room inside the outside pouch for your cords, etc. My MacAir 13" has never felt more at home, aside from when it's sitting on my lap:-).

ZyXEL Wireless N Pocket Travel Router and Access Point (MWR102)

ZyXEL Wireless N Pocket Travel Router and Access Point
  • Pocket-sized router/AP for internet access on-the-go
  • 3-in-1 Functionality ? Router, Access Point, and Client Bridge
  • Wirelessly share a wired Internet connection with multiple friends, colleagues, or devices.
  • 802.11n wireless connectivity for data transfer rates of up to 150Mbps
  • USB or AC power provide flexibility for any situation

Uses:

WiFi Access point (adds a wireless connection to a network)

Wifi Router (works like an Access Point but also shares the connection with multiple devices)

Wireless Client Bridge (connects to an existing wifi network and bridges the connection to TWO Ethernet ports)

Thoughts:

In the short run, I bought this to add wi-fi to my Xbox 360 on the cheap, and I wanted something that could take the place of a wifi card in a new computer I'm halfway finished buying parts for. I had a little trouble setting up Client Bridge mode at first, but when I asked ZyXEL they responded helpfully through both email and an English speaking native on phone support. As an unexpected bonus, both the WAN and LAN ports function to bridge wifi to Ethernet in Client mode, so I'll be able to give both my Xbox And computer wifi at the same time. Right now, I just have the MWR102 hooked up to my Xbox via Ethernet and USB, and the short included cables keep everything tidy. If you would like to see the steps I used to set this up, visit Tom's Hardware (the website) and search for the product.

This will also be useful to add wi-fi during travel, the main advertised use of this product, though I don't travel as much as I used to.

As far as 150mbps wireless N bandwidth goes, that's several times faster bandwidth than any personal consumer connection to the Internet, and my connection signal is strong from the basement game room with no lag created from my end. I have not had any sudden dropped connections so far, I am confident that this is a quality product.

Update:

Router still working great as of April 6th. I have it set up in my very concrete-y basement (super challenging for wi-Fi), with both the Xbox and a desktop computer plugged in. For some reason I have no lag playing Call of Duty 4, but a really bad connection that gets me kicked out of games frequently in Left 4 Dead with my friends from Penn State... Of course nobody wants to take responsibility for it being their end, lol. I also started a job that puts me on the road, so I'm super glad I chose this solution because I just flip a switch on the side over to the other mode, plug it in and I have a private WiFi network in my motel room. Flip the switch back when I get home, and the settings for client mode are reactivated with no hassle. I'm still thrilled I did my research and found this!

Update July 2012:

Working fine with both my PC and XBOX hooked up to this in my bedroom, at the same time. Left 4 Dead just has bad lag problems, everything else is working smoothly. I don't know if I've said so before, but my home is served Internet by Verizon's FiOS service and their provided gateway/wifi router.

The ZyXEL Wireless Router worked great! My wife and I traveled to Guam and Hawaii and she brought along her ipad. Once I got the ZyXEL connected her was able to stay in contact with friends and family while relaxing in bed or on deck. Plus traveling with the router was extremely easy and simple. One of the best purchases I made in quite a while.

This thing is pretty small and USB powered but the interface/software is very minimal and there isn't a WIFI client to allow it to connect to other WIFI connections as a WIFI repeater or bridge which is useful when travelling and at a cafe or to pick up a signal without having to wire in an internet connection. For a real travel or portable router, I would recommend to others the ASUS WL-330N or ASUS WL-330N3G since I know that portable router has the option to connect to other WIFI connections built into the software. This little pocket router is a great product but I honestly would not pay more than $20 bucks for the somewhat limited functionality it provides. It's a good deal for the price though compared to other similar products which are usually around $40 bucks or more.

Want ZyXEL Wireless N Pocket Travel Router and Access Point (MWR102) Discount?

Ideal for international travel, the supplied wall charger accepts 110-240v input and it packs away nice and small. The small cloth bag which was included is really too small for the unit, charger and cables and only really useful for the unit itself and helps protect it. The box it came in is excellent for packing it all away for travel.

Setup:

Easy to set up, the unit is able to clone a MAC address (and save up to three MAC addresses) which is handy for connecting to certain modems, it is also able to save configurations (which should allow for easy reloading). Having an ethernet option as well as wireless allows a bit more flexibility, it took about 10 minutes to add the router between an existing computer and cable modem, change the defaults and configure the MWR102, clone the existing computer's MAC address (ISP limitation) and TCP/IP settings and have it working with no negative impact on the existing computer and enabling wireless for other computers to connect.

Performance:

Performance is surprisingly good for such a small unit, with a good connection possible at 10m through 2 walls. Best performance is found when raising the unit high and keeping it flat, as the unit is so small and light a little tape or blu-tack may be needed to prevent kinks in the cables from twisting the unit off the table! The supplied ethernet cable is very short (cat 5e) which may not be an issue if the ethernet connection is up high, I bring a longer cable to allow more flexibility in positioning of the unit, the power cord has plenty of length. I found that some devices (android phone) had a harder time staying connected than a laptop, a reboot of both devices seemed to sort this out so now I power cycle the unit every few days or so.

Overall:

Excellent device for USD$30, apparently it also acts as a connection to a wireless network and when not travelling I intend to use it to connect a DVD player to the internet.

[update]

Configuring the device in Client mode works with the latest firmware (download from the ZyXEL international site, not the US site) and can successfully connect two devices at once in client mode BOTH ethernet connections pass through the internet connection.

I bought this because I needed a 2.4GHz compatible wireless access point, and this does that and more. very well

on the side of this very small router is a switch for Router or Access point, which is handy for taking it on a trip.

in the box:

router

carrying bag

AC to USB mini-B adapter (5V .6a)

USB cable

cat 5e cable

documentation

setup is easy, all the info is written on the bottom of the router (default admin login, ip address, SSID and WPA password.)

the router, in access point mode indeed does let both the LAN and WAN ports work as LAN ports. the speed is excellent and the latency is as good or better than any other dedicated access point I have used to date. the range is good for the physical size, but I don't think this is a MIMO router (who cares, no big deal)

in router mode, it just plugs in, boots quickly and WORKS.

a relief that this unit does exactly what it claims to do and does it well, with little headache.

I absolutely recommend this, I'll probably buy another.

Have you read the other reviews for these headphones? Two of them (so far) seem like they were created by people from Nox or people hired by Nox to give their products positive review scores. That's a pretty shady business tactic.

Here's an unbiased review, based on actual experience with the headphones, which I wrote for SLUG Magazine:

I was pretty excited when these headphones showed up on my desk. I figured reviewing them would be at least more fun than listening to the glut of mediocre-to-crappy promo CDs that I usually encounter, but alas, I was wrong. These headphones aren't super flashy, featuring a simple black and silver design with some comfortably padded material around the earpieces and on top of the headband. A microphone can be deployed from the left headphone, and a dial on the right headphone allows you to control volume. Pretty cool so far, right? Well, not really. Nox didn't include the cable that allows the user to connect these to a video game console, which isn't a huge deal, but since they're marketing them as gaming headphones, it seems like a dumb oversight. If the headphones sounded good and worked properly, maybe I would've splurged and bought the $20 adapter, but the sound quality is nothing special, and the chord that connects the headset to your listening device of choice broke after one day of use. If you're gonna spend $80 on something that only lasts for a day, I can think of many things more deserving of your cash than these headphones.

I really love the Nox headset and live with it all day long for a phone headset. Feedback from callers etc. has been great! One needs to know that in order for the Mic part to work from a phone one needs the connector that has 3 black rings on it so the Mic part of the headset will work and this didn't come with the set. Works great on the computer system!

Peek Mobile E-mail Device (Cherry)

Peek Mobile E-mail DeviceMy girlfriend uses her Peek with GMail and she loves it. She already has a phone and doesn't need all the extra bells and whistles that most people don't use anyway. The setup is super easy; just put in your email address and password and that's it! It's super slim and stylish and does email in a snap. If you are not techie and want email on the go this is the gizmo for you.

Family members love using their Peek. It allows them to access emails all day and not just when they are in front of the computer. After trying several devices that used WI-FI which in a country area is sparadic, left me waiting more. I liked that this came with its owen service. I purchased it and loved it immediately out of the box. It works great. I have a great signal and its reasonably priced. The company changed service providers and with no notice sent an e-mail to users saying the Peeks would no longer work. No offer or a refund for activation fees, what is now a useless device, etc. Just an offer for you to pay more (admittedly a pretty small amount) for a new Peek9. Basically a dishonest company with awful customer service. When I got the e-mail saying no service, I tried over a period of about two weeks to contact customer service but after being on hold for over an hour every time, I just gave up.

Very hard to open package. They use that Chinese junk plastic blister packaging.

Activated online Friday night. Waited for 20 minutes then turned on the Peek. No service (red x on antenna icon). Turned Peek off then on again. No service.

Customer service phone line was closed already. Won't open until Monday. Emailed . No response. And my subscription time that I paid for is ticking away.

I thought Peek was known for their exemplary customer service! Guess not anymore.

Epson LabelWorks Standard LC Tape Cartridge ~1/2-Inch White on Espresso (LC-4NWT5)

Epson LabelWorks Standard LC Tape Cartridge ~1/2-Inch White on Espresso
  • Over 16 feet of tape (5M)
  • Features a split-back design for easy peeling
  • Durable, hard plastic casing for safe storage

They do exactly what they're supposed to. The split backing peels off easily and the labels go on with no problem.

I use this with my Epson LabelWorks LW-300 Label Maker (C51CB69010). It is a very nice black on white tape. The backing peels very easily. The tape itself seems to be pretty waterproof. I have used it to put my name on plastic waterbottles, and the tape stays on even after I put the bottles through the dishwasher. This would probably also work well for people who leave their kids in daycare and have to put their name on bottles, tupperware, etc.

The tapes also peel off of must hard surfaces without leaving any residue. I have some file cabinets that I use these on and I can easily pick off the labels (after many months) without leaving any marks whatsoever.

30 feet is a nice length much better than the 9 foot starter cartridge that came with the Label Maker.

This product works as advertised. It makes nice labels, and the back is easy to peal. I just don't feel like the price represents a very good value. That is a big price for something not much more than a role of tape. I am sure they charge what the market will bare, but I am not satisfied with the value I am receiving.

Other than that, the labels work well.

I was dissappointed that there was no clear seal strip OVER the lettering like the Brother P-Touch.An oldie but goodie...still works...circa about 1990, I think....that makes it about 23 years old....These Epson letters smudge....at least on the starter cartridge it came with...black on white......Only three stars because of that.....sorry. ....Hobbiehubbcapp.

I went with Epson instead of Brother because of the reviews. I'm glad I did. No waste of tape between labels.

Palm 3177WW Screen Protectors Multipack

Palm 3177WW Screen Protectors Multipack
  • Protect your screen from scratches and potential damage.
  • Compatable with all palmOne handhelds and Treo 650
  • Templates on back allow for precise cutting to fit specific model
  • 12 protectors per pack

While the price is pretty good, these are significantly more difficult to install than most of the pre-cut screen protectors. Having to cut them out is annoying, especially as small errors in sizing can make them not fit.

Worse, they're just *too* adhesive. I had to try three different times before I got one installed well enough to be usable, and I still ended up with a few trapped air bubbles which were impossible to remove. And you won't reuse one; if you have to peel it off, you might as well just toss it. I found installing two different models of pre-cut screen protectors to be much easier... no cutting, no air bubbles, perfect fit.

The other significant difference is the feel. Palm's screen protectors have a somewhat "soft" surface and feel more like the original screen; most other brands have a harder surface which is glare free, but also make writing slightly more difficult.

The price is hard to argue with, and if you use multiple Palms it's a lot easier to keep track of just one package of screen protectors. But it'll probably take a few tries to get one to fit, and it'll be sheer luck if you can get one installed without any trapped bubbles.

I own two Palm devices. The precut screen protectors I've tried sometimes don't fit and are often, in my opinion, obscenely overpriced.

This package represents a barely reasonable compromise between price, convenience and usability.

The price is great.

The convenience however is marginal. You get a sheet that has the outlines of most popular Palm devices printed on the back. The object is to cut along the outline of your device and, voila, you have a screen protector that fits.

That's the idea --the reality is different.

The outlines, at least for my two devices, are dimensionally accurate along the vertical dimension IF you cut precisely along the outside perimeter of the outline. Got that? You must cut on the outside of the line. Cut along the middle of the line or on the inside of the line and your finished screen protector will be too short along the vertical.

Worse, the horizontal printed outlines are too small. Cut along the outside of the horizontal lines and you wind up with about 1/16th of an inch too little on either side.

Fortunately I had a rotary cutter available, the kind used by quilters and craftspeople. I wouldn't want to try cutting these with scissors.

The adhesive is just about right to create a good bond with the screen while still having enough give to allow for removal or repositioning. (By the way, a wooden toothpick works well for lifting applied screen protectors. Just be careful.)

In short, the Palm screen protectors are needlessly frustrating to prepare and install. Once down, they serve the purpose and the price, compared to the competition, can't be beat.

Palm really owes users of this product an apology for the poor printing of the template outlines. There's no excuse for this slovenliness.

Jerry

These screen protectors are great! I was really worried after reading some negative reviews about this product, and almost bought a different screen protector (for about half the price of these, but you only got one). I'm glad I didn't. These screen protectors are easy to install, I had no problems with bubbles, and if they ever wear out, I have 12 more! Yes... you have to cut them to fit, but the guides are easy to follow. Simply find the pattern you need and cut along the line. Now here is the tricky part... do NOT peel the entire protector off the sheet! THAT is how you get bubbles! Peel just alittle bit of the protector off the sheet and start at the top of your palm. The sheet is sticky, so take your time placing the sheet. It will determine if your protector will align correctly when you make it to the bottom of your screen. There is a piece of plastic (similar to a credit card) in the box. You are going to use this to start at the top of the screen, and push toward the bottom, slowly pulling the protector off the paper and installing it bubble free as you go. Do this slowly so that if you get bubbles, you can reapply that section to the paper, and fix the problem right then. I imagine if you pulled the entire protector off the paper all at once you'd have a sticky mess, and lots of bubbles if you managed to get it on your screen at all. If you look closely at the directions you'll see a diagram showing the process I just described. It's easy! If you follow my directions (they are a bit more descriptive than those on the box), and use the diagram, you will not be disappointed. It's a great value!!

As some previous reviewers have noted, the size when cut might be slightly smaller than your screen, for my TX it was 0.5-1 mm. However, unless you actually intend to write in the outer 0.5 mm of the screen you will hardly notice it.

The application is as difficult as it gets. My tip is to use a credit card, or similar, as help. Apply it at one edge, and then use the card sliding over the screen protector as you apply it, in order to remove any bubbles.

The feel is great when writing on it.

I chose this product over the $12.95 boxwave protector, because I am a cheapskate (and proud of it). I have not tried other screen protectors, so I am basing my review totally on my experience with them alone for my T|X. I am totally happy with my purchase and do not regret purchasing them, but the saying, you get what you paid for definitely applies here somewhat when it comes to ease of application. Let me list things to consider.

1. They are not easy to apply as one reviewer stated, because if you think 'easy' means done in less than one minute and mistakes can be corrected then it's not easy. I messed up my first one :p, so I had my husband who has more patience and good with his hands to do the next one. BUT, I believe I would have been able to successfully apply it on my second try after learning what not to do. Be very careful about dust, hairs, etc. that's what messed up my first try.

2. Yes, listen to the reviewer that said follow the directions peel off little at a time and use the card that's included. You're lucky if you got zero bubbles, but if you get small little ones, don't fret. After my husband applied the protector for me, there was still two little bubbles bothering the hell out of me. I use the cloth included with the package to gently smooth it out. It did get smaller, but didn't completely disappear. I gave up and was satisfied with the results anyway. I left it overnight and used it the next morning, the bubbles were gone. I guess it settles a bit after awhile, but I would guess it depends on the size of your air bubbles.

3. Don't buy them if you don't have sharp scissors or the patience to cut them. I wouldn't recommend cutting them exactly so it fits the screen without the edges showing. It makes it harder to peel off and having little extra space gives you some leeway for mistakes. The template for the T|X was perfect for me. If people read the description before purchasing, they knew they had to cut them to size. So, it's ridiculous to complain about having to cut them.

FYI, I thought the reviewer Bob Manson was most helpful and accurate :) Bottom line I'm only rating them 4 stars, because of the difficulty I had in applying them :P But, perhaps, the price makes up for it. Remember patience and steadiness if you don't have them, don't purchase these protectors.

Several months ago my old modem wasn't working very well. After talking to a tech at Cox (and I confirmed it on their website), They hadn't supported my modem for some time now (amazing it worked as long as it did). That's a tip for anyone looking to buy a new modem. Make sure your ISP (Internet service provider) supports the modem. It'll save you a lot of headaches.

After researching the supported modems listed on Cox's website that supported DOCSIS 3.0, there were basically only two that were readily available at that time. The "Zoom 5341", and the "Motorola SB6120". Since they were both about the same price, and with the number of negative reviews on the Motorola, I decided to go with the Zoom. For those that may not be familiar with the Zoom brand, they have been around a long time. I remember them back in the old days of dial up modems, back before the Internet existed. A quick google search reveals that they sold their first 300 baud modem back in 1983 (dang I'm getting old).

After getting my new modem setup with Cox, and while it was still directly connected to my PC (no router), I ran a speed test, which was blazzing fast compared to my old modem. Part of the reason for the fast speed is, Cox has a feature called "Speed Boost", which only works with DOCSIS 3.0 modems.

After connecting it back through my router, my speeds went way down. Hmmmm, what's up with that? Turns out my router only has a 10 Mbps WAN port. I bought a new gigabit router (with wireless) and everything has been working great for the last several months now. No problems at all with the Zoom modem (or the new router). Yeah, I love it when a product does what it is supposed to :)

Moved from DSL to Comcast cable so I thought I'd buy my own modem. I gave the modem info (MAC address, etc.,) to Comcast over my lunch break. Came back after work and installed the modem and it was recognized and connected fairly easily within 10 minutes. The download speed now is 30Mbps and the upload is about 6Mbps. My coaxial cable connections at home are fairly new and I connected the modem to a 1GB router port.

I think this is a great performance for the price that Amazon lists, which is fairly close to the price at Best Buy and others. I can't tell the difference between the successive hardware versions for this same modem (i.e., G vs. H) but it seems like it's now coming towards the end of its model production run. I only wish if it had a telephone jack, too.

Hey guys. I'm a Comcast business class customer and this works great for me. I have a stronger signal in my bedroom (opposite side of the house) than I did with my Comcast modem, I can even stream movies in my bedroom on my iPad now, something I wasn't able to do before.

Regarding Comcast device protocol I was told by their tech department that even though they could "see" it was working, it wasn't one of their two approved devices for replacement of their modem (and subsequent $7.00/mo modem fee being waived). However, I called back the rep who opened my account several times and I spoke with several people in customer service and now they have removed the monthly modem fee from my account and gave me a credit back to the beginning of my service (several months back).

I definitely recommend this for Comcast customers. You might have a little resistance but be persistent.

I got this modem since our cable system upgraded their speeds. It works great. I had tried a Motorola previously with nothing but problems. This also has worked well with my Ooma phone service. I highly recommend!

  • New Black Leather Swivel Belt Clip C ase for Nokia 7510

The leather case fits well; but, it is a bit thin (the generic cases are always like this, though)

The clip is totally useless, though. It pinches closed with such a weak grip, it would never stay attached to a pocket, etc.

In my case, I wasted my money, as I like to keep my phone CLIPPED to my pocket so it doesn't fall out. At least, if it falls out now, it won't get scratched because the case should protect it well enough.

I had high hopes for the Lifedrive. I was excited by the specifications for the device (its relatively large storage capacity and its large display); However, I encountered substantial problems within weeks of my purchase:

a) The initial version of the Lifedrive's operating system was VERY unstable (for example, the screen would frequently go blank/"white" for no apparent reason when turned on and would require a system reset to enable to system to "boot")

b) The system resets required to 'un-freeze' the device occasionally wiped-out all of the software I installed on the device requiring me to reinstall everything and re-enter all of the product keys

c) After several months of frequent system freezes/system crashes the Lifedrive's mini hard drive completely failed: when the device was turned on it made clicking noises but would not boot (in case you're wondering, the device was handled carefully and had a nice Rhino metal case with foam padding perhaps a strong breeze damaged the device)The Lifedrive is a horrible product. Save your money and your time by avoiding this device.

Hi everyone

I have received today my dictionary and I have to make a comment. The dictionary looks grate, nice keyboard soft but strong, big screen and plastic case which looks bright and cool like an smart phone, this is the franklin english spanish dictionary 1510

The thing that i am not so happy is there is NOT protection case.

Is a thin plastic case attached with screws at the back which cover only the front, I mean the screen and keyboard, and the attachment is a magnet stripe.

The old model, 1500 ant others dictionary I got one 15 years agowere all base on the same desing, strong and durable made to travelled in backpacks or bags

This new model has a cool design but no protection for such a beatifull case, and I rather to have a protected electronic dictionary than a scratch one.

So I opened and I am gonna enjoyed it but I would not buy a new one ...

But to be positive I am gonna make a neoprene homemade protected case to be a happy purchaser

Take it easy

Jota

It has been very usefull to travel. A lot of words (more than I expected) and long battery-life. You don't need the mobile phone (waste of battery and need internet connection). The only problem is that has no light (but it's not a great problem).

  • 1 year manufacturer warranty
  • HP COMPAQ IPAQ HX2795 battery (Replacement)
  • 100% OEM compatible. Ship direct from manufacturer

The item listed on amazon says "from HP", but HP logo is not present on the product. The original HP battery that came with my PDA has a bright blue "hp" mentioned on it. So I am not sure if I got the HP original product for which I paid.

Other than that, it has been a short while since I got the battery (one week) so I cannot comment much on performance. But I immediately tested with charger, and USB charging, and it works fine.

Now I can start using my SPB Finance again!!!

Thanks.
