PDair Leather case for Motorola DROID X MB810 - Book Type (Red)
Next, the item is illustrated well, however the tab which connects the top and bottom panels is just a tiny bit (2mm) too short to adequately (comfortably) cover the Droid X. The closing tab is also about 2mm short because you must really pull on the tab to get it to close. These two shortcomings make the case bow in the middle and out at the top and bottom.
Otherwise it appears well made. Just an inconveniently tiny bit small for it's intended use.
Can I recommend it? Noooooooo.
I may reconsider sending it back... I'll look into it.

Although iMacs are designed to handle the heat generated using "passive" cooling (read no internal fan) I always use the philosophy that cooler is better. I mounted this fan behind my iMac and use an already existing hub to plug it in. It's quiet and the computer runs noticeably cooler. Will it increase the life of the computer? I don't know. But like I said, cooler is better. I do wish there was a power switch incorporated into the speed control but unplugging it isn't really much of a problem. I'm totally satisfied with the unit.Read Best Reviews of Thermaltake Mobile Fan 12 External USB Cooling Fan 120mm AF0007 Here
I recently lucked out and got my hands on an Atlantic Technology FS-7.0-GLB 7-channel surround bar (Gloss Black), and purchased an Onkyo TX-SR508 7.1-Channel Home Theater Receiver (Black) to go with it. Having read the reviews on my receiver, I was forewarned that it runs very hot, so I began my search for something that would keep it cool, but not break my bank. I couldn't have asked for better than this USB-powered cooling fan. After initially setting everything up, I thought that the best place for this fan might be at the rear of the receiver, over the hole through which all of my wires and cables passed to and from my receiver. Uhm, yeah NOTHING was going to be powerful enough to suck the heat from the receiver with it set THERE! So, once I'd figured out that I needed to lay my ThermalTake fan over the TOP of the upper grate on my receiver, with the fan speed knob (obviously!) facing up, I unscrewed the little wire "stand" that it's on, put it in place, and it's done the job SPECTACULARLY! Before, my Onkyo receiver would literally get hot to the touch after a few hours of operation. Now that I have my ThermalTake fan laid over top of it, it actually stays almost cold to the touch, even when it's on all day long.
There are plenty of other cooling options that one can find online and in-store that are billed specifically as cooling options for A/V equipment, but you really can't possibly go wrong with this awesome little USB-powered fan. The RPMs of this fan exceed what I came across on a website for another fan billed for use with audio receivers, and that fan was being sold for nearly double the price of this one, before shipping. All it took was for me to move this to the right place on my receiver for this fan to get it super cool.
Amazon continues to amaze me with the bargains that I find here. Of course, without the helpful reviews that other users put up here, I wouldn't have had a clue what to buy or how well it'd work. Thankfully, the other folks that've bought this fan led me down the right path, and I have every confidence that I'll be able to enjoy many, many years of great sound from my audio receiver, so thanks!
Want Thermaltake Mobile Fan 12 External USB Cooling Fan 120mm AF0007 Discount?
The product is based around an 80mm computer case fan, with a wire stand and a rheostat to control the fan speed. The retractable power cord extends to over 50" which is more than enough for me. Besides being useful for cooling notebook computers, this is also helpful for cooling off stereo components and related electronic equipment since heat is the enemy. At higher speeds, the fan does make some noise however. If you are looking around for usb cooling fans on Amazon you might have noticed that is there another Thermaltake fan called the Thermaltake Mobile Fan II External USB Cooling Fan. Let me note that this one (Thermaltake Mobile Fan 12 External USB Cooling Fan) is larger than the other one (Thermaltake Mobile Fan II External USB Cooling Fan). Looking for a space saving cooling solution I decided to buy the smaller one instead. Upon arrival I tried using it only to find what a few other reviews pointed out in that the wiring for the speed control is faulty. The fan controller doesn't allow the fan to reach 1/4 of the highest speed of the fan without stuttering. The stuttering is so bad that the fan blade almost comes to a halt. Disappointed by the faulty fan I returned it for this larger model. Upon receiving it I immediately plugged it in and messed with the speed control knob to see what it would do. Needless to say it worked like it should. The fan can achieve the fastest or slowest speed it's capable of without any stuttering like the smaller one. I am much happier with this fan as it moves more air (or the same amount of air without the noise of the smaller one) and the wiring for the speed control isn't faulty either. Great fan that I'd highly recommend!Wednesday, February 12, 2014

I bought this scanner for the purpose of scanning pages out of law books at the library. After about two minutes' practice, it was a cinch. In fifteen minutes I was able to scan 30 pages' research, and later downloaded it all to my laptop as .PDF files. The resolution is great, and the scan quality was good enough to use in powerpoint presentations after cropping and magnifying with Microsoft Picture Manager. You can't get scans out of books with a page-fed portable, and a desktop model is too big to carry. Light years better than waiting for the library photocopier.Read Best Reviews of VuPoint Solutions Magic Wand Portable Scanner (PDS-ST410-VP) Here
It has been way too long since anyone made a really usable hand scanner. I've been looking for one for years. So I was very excited when I saw a review of the 'Magic Wand' on one of my news feeds. This product does the trick. You have to be fairly slow and steady to get a good scan, but hey... it's a hand scanner! So no surprise there. The scan quality is quite acceptable for a device of this type. Not what you would get from a flatbed scanner, but hey... it's a hand scanner! Print is readable, photo quality isn't fantastic but might improve as my scanning skills get better.
The scanner is bundled with 'ABBYY Screenshot Reader', which extracts text from an image. ABBYY is one of the major producers of optical character recognition (OCR)software. I have a document scanner that came with and ABBYY OCR program. But I have never seen a screenshot reader before. This product allows you to select an area on your computer screen, and it will extract text from that area and put it in your clipboard.
So when you scan an image with the 'Magic Wand', you can connect the scanner to your computer with a USB cable (included); open the image in a picture viewer; and use Screenshot Reader to capture the text.
You will probably have to do a bit of touch-up after you paste the text into another application. I have yet to see an OCR program that does perfect text conversion. One trick that helps a lot is to zoom in on the text to make it larger. OCR programs work better with larger text.
I am very pleased with the 'Magic Wand'. I keep it next to my laptop in the living room (yeah, I'm a multi-computer geek, and I do "side surfing" while I'm watching TV) so I can quickly scan things out of magazines or books. And it's small enough to toss in my computer bag when I'm on the road. Along with my Planon Printsitk portable printer (Planon Printstik PS950ME Label Printer Monochrome Direct Thermal), I've got a complete office in a bag!
Want VuPoint Solutions Magic Wand Portable Scanner (PDS-ST410-VP) Discount?
I purchased this scanner to help in cataloging my DVD and book collections. Frequently I find that the default cover art which is downloaded by the catalog program doesn't match the actual item and all too often the correct image isn't available online. Taking books and DVDs from the library and living room to the flatbed scanner in the office so I can scan the cover art is tedious, so I thought this portable scanner might be a good solution. Unfortunately, the results weren't as good as I had hoped based on the other reviews I read here. It's not that the scanner is "bad" because it isn't really, it's just that it wasn't as easy to use as I had hoped.Pros: The scanner is compact, reasonably priced and attractive. Reasonably good results can be achieved with practice.
Cons: In order to produce a good image, the scanner must be moved very carefully. Uneven motion, brief pauses, etc. basically anything short of consistent movement will cause distortion in the image.
I've uploaded two examples, one good and one bad, of a DVD cover scan (the movie "10" with Dudley Moore, Julie Andrews, and Bo Derek).
In conclusion, while the scanner is certainly compact and inexpensive, there are limitations which the buyer should be aware of before they decide to purchase. This little device is way better than one would have any right to expect. There have been hand-held scanners in the past, and they have mostly been overpriced and frustrating toys.
This is not. It's a decent quality scanning device. Credit that to the drastic drops in fixed lens camera elements and ccd detectors over the past few years.
You can use this device, after a very modest learning curve, to scan things like text out of book, documents, receipts, etc. Basically, anything that is text based can be scanned pretty well with a little practice.
HOWEVER, this wand is NOT appropriate for scanning photos, blueprints, or any other source material that requires high precision. That's because you WILL have distortions in your scan. That's unavoidable due to the fact that it is impossible to ensure a 100% constant scan rate (or 100% straight path, for that matter) across your source material. For figures/pictures, there's no automated way to correct for this.
Bottom line: I'd recommend this highly to those who have the need for a portable scanner for text based documents. But I would STRONGLY advise against getting this if you expect to use it for photos/figures/blueprints or any other precision document.

The info about the history and customs of each city were very helpfull, as were the restaurant listings. We found a great little greek place in Amsterdam by entering the area we were in and getting a listing of nearby places. It was just a few blocks away and the food was great. Ditto with a fish and chips place in London.
I do agree with the previous poster that the maps are pretty much useless. The Palm screen is just to small.

- More comfortable than stock stylus
- Smooth navigation because of the sensitive tip
- Features a retractable design and smooth touch and feel for maximum comfort and accuracy
I purchased it hoping it would be a good match for my DS Lite. And, while it works fine with the system, be aware of a couple things.
1. This stylus, when fully extended is only 3/4 inch larger than the standard DS Lite stylus. So, it's not much bigger.
2. It doesn't fit correctly into the stylus holder. It will fit, sure, but it's too skinny, so it will not lock in place and will fall out.
Otherwise it's a nice stylus, it feels sturdy enough, but it's just a little thin.

I love my new little stylus! The way it retracts is very clever, so my hand doesn't cramp while I'm playing anymore. It is also a neat chrome color, different from my original stylus. All in all, an excellent replacement for my long lost friend. There aren't many accessories out there for the Phat DS, and this is definitely an improvement of the original stylus.Want Aluminum Retractable Metal PDA Replacement) Stylus for NINTENDO DS (NDS) w/ Black Tip Discount?
This is a pretty good replacement stylus.A few things you should know:
-While there are two styli in the product picture, you are only paying for one stylus.
-This stylus is for the original DS, NOT the DSLite.
-I'll repeat: this is not a stylus for the DSLite! (I didn't think it was, but there's another review on here that
complains about the way the stylus fits)
-The stylus isn't really THAT much longer than the original. However, if you have big hands like mine, every little
bit helps and I've found this stylus to be more comfortable than the original.
Overall, I'm glad I bought this. It's a well-made, quality product.
Oh, and the shipping was really fast, so that's a positive too.The item I received after ordering this doesn't match the picture... it's too large to fit into my DS phat properly, and the so the head doesn't click down. In addition, I can't even figure out how to make it extend... again, the one I received looks different from the picture at the top of the screen.
I've contacted the seller about doing a refund, but don't waste your time on this even though the price is low.

Very impressed the Predator. I'm not using it for gaming but Photoshop and as a house server. The C is a flash drive and just load my programs on it. I still have 50 GB to spare and it loads programs very fast. I use the spin drive to store my movies, music and photos. I also inserted my own 80 GB drive in the expandable drive which just meant pulling out the drive cradle, inserting my new drive, pushing it back in and powering up. One important factor to set up this computer out of the box is that you either need an HDMI or DVI cable as the VGA port is disabled.Windows 8 is not that difficult either on a PC. I installed a "start Menu" application so it works just like any previous windows version so I can group and categorize my app's.

I spent a lot of time looking at different tower PCs. I looked closely at the iMac but to be honest it is overpriced for what is actually inside the machine. I was very close to ordering a custom PC but then came across the Acer Predator on Amazon. It had everything I was after. A good motherboard, plenty of RAM and harddrive capacity plus geared towards gaming. In addition it comes with SSD memory which I now realise is a real advantage. The only issue I had was learning how to make best use of the SSD vs. harddrive, but it wasn't really a big deal. Now I have all my programs on the SSD and my photos, music, etc. on the harddrive. This makes it very fast and much quicker at start-up after the PC has gone to sleep, etc. The PC is very quiet as the hardrive is used less and the fans don't kick in so much. Graphics are good I run Guild Wars 2 with no problems, plus multi-tasking is no issue either. No comment on Windows 8!

BoxWave Slimline Capacitive Stylus for Apple iPad 3, new iPad (3rd Generation), iPad 2, iPad 1, and
- Works on all capacitive touch screens
- Conveniently designed in pen form, perfect for carrying around
- Durable and responsive tip
- Perfect for cold days when you don't want to remove your gloves
- Available in Bold Orange, Crimson Red, Jet Black, Lunar Blue, or Metallic Silver color
I also tried the Touch Tech III and ended up liking that pen better than this one. This one worked really well on writing apps, especially Penultimate, but I found that the Touch Tec glided better across the screen.
Between the two, the writing on the screen looked the same in the end, so Id say its about personal preference. I would recommend trying this pen, especially if you've tried others and have been unsuccessful.First off, I do love the slim styling of this stylus. Easy to hold and works on iPad and iPhone.
BUT, the rubber tip came off already and the stylus is not working as well. Sometimes I tap and nothing happens. I am not sure I would get again. Which is too bad because the customer service was great!!!!!It is a nice stylus and the slim profile makes it easy to hold. The rubber tip is slightly softer than the Wacom Bamboo Stylus. This one tends to drag and skip slightly when I draw or need to sign a pdf document. If you want a stylus for tapping around the screen and keyboard then it will do just fine. This BoxWave styluses (styli?) have always been solid and of high quality. The minijack clip is very useful and the rubber tip never marks or smudges the screen. I prefer the slimline models due to the increased precision (used with an iPad). Unless you want a flashlight, ink pen, or some other feature, I see no reason to spend any more money. This stylus shouldn't disappoint.
