I just have to say I love this thing! It's very well made in every way but one though. the wire they chose to use for the USB cable is to stiff and long for a portable laptop device... should have been a mini USB port to give us options on what cord to use and how long. I feel like this it going to get damaged right at the base rather quickly... thats my only complaint! No wait, the case is not solid enough to truly protect it much either.

The product works well. It is well built, and works well with Solidworks. Because this is lighter than the other models it can be accidentally moved if you push or pull to hard in any given direction. Most of this is completely acceptable as the bottom has a very nice rubber bottom that keeps it in its spot given that the rubber does not get dirty.

The reason for 3 stars This is a notebook accessory it is designed to be taken with you. That being said, the case they give you is made of a shedding fabric that gets the bottom rubber dirty. Obviously a major screwup on their part. The bottom can be cleaned with windex, but otherwise is rather difficult to clean if you don't have chemicals and a non shedding cloth available at your disposal. Forget about using the device with a dirty bottom do yourself a favor and ditch the case.

I bought this for my HP Touchpad that I got during the firesale. I hated typing with the on-screen keyboard and bought this on a whim to see if it would work. I knew the touchpad had an HP brand keyboard so it must of supported HID devices (remember android guys, this is something that isnt default in android before 3.0 so its not the keyboards fault you have incompatible hardware). I figured if nothing else, I could get it working with a little tweaking. Once it arrived, I pulled it out of the box, turned it on and put it in pairing mode. Worked perfectly and I couldnt be happier. Its a great keyboard for the money and I couldnt ask for more. I was somewhat disappointed by the fact that it did not have any documentation included and it wasnt easy finding a user manual online. For anyone else wondering, enter pairing mode by holding the long black button by the LED lights. The default passkey is 1234.

I paired this unit to my laptop running Windows 7 64-bit and it works great. I'm using it to trigger my light show controller on my laptop for live gigs. It's the same size as my iPhone and it fits nicely in my pocket and range is great. The keys are definitely small so if you're comfortable with typing on a blackberry, it'll have the same feel. If you're using it as your main keyboard, you'll probably struggle with the small keys, but if you're using it occasionally, it'll work great!

I would give this keyboard five out of five stars but I didn't like a couple of things about it. The keys are ridiculously soft and sink in pretty far so it takes a bit of effort to type. Also, I don't like the placement of the delete key but I should've saw that when I looked at the picture before purchasing. Otherwise, this keyboard works perfectly how I thought it would and need it to. I am using it with my iPod touch 4th generation to take notes and do homework on documents to go. It works wonderfully with every app I have tried it with. :) It is super lightweight and only a tiny bit larger than my iPod. For roughly 11 dollars, I think it was a great deal! It came with a little mini cd for something. I have no idea what for because Macbooks apparently can't take in mini cds in their optical drive. You don't need it to make the keyboard function.

I love the keyboard, however it doesn't come with functional software to make it work on an android phone (unless you have a custom rom). I wasn't happy with the custom rom I was running, so I switched to the leaked ICS for droid bionic. Still doesn't work with bionic. You can't activate the license because the Chinese manufacturer did not renew the license, so there aren't any licenses available to activate! UGH!

That being said, BlueInput Demo works great on Android 4 to get the keyboard to function. However, it is pretty pricey to upgrade to the pro version. With the current exchange rate it is close to $20, which makes the use of a cheap keyboard pretty expensive! There are also some flaws with the current version of the software, but they are working on it.

If you are willing to play with work arounds, then purchase the keyboard. It is small, simple and cheap, but you have to put some effort into making it work.

If you aren't willing to deal with the flaws, wait until Google actually gets a Bluetooth HID controller built in!

I originally tried one of the cheap-o korean no-brand versions of this thing before upgraded to this model. I have to say the packaging, instructions, support and usability of this one is far better. It is sometimes a little finicky becoming visible when pairing to a new device after being connected to an older one but a snap once it becomes visible or if you are only tethering to a single device. (I have three devices that support a2dp)

I was delighted to learn that the stearing wheel remove is not only a 2 piece item (the oval portion is removable from the part that straps onto the wheel) but it is also reversible (there is a similar snap in slot on both the left and right side)

The remove is reasonably intuitive to use, and I've been told that the speakerphone sounds pretty good on the other side of the phone.

My primary complaints about the device are minimal. The first is that the frequency range supported seems to cut off a few frequencies at the top and bottom end of the FM band. These frequencies are usually the best frequencies to use for FM transmitter type devices as there is less competition from broadcast stations at these ends of the FM spectrum. The end result is I had to find a 'low noise' frequency somewhere in the middle of the band. I imagine this might be troublesome in a busy FM market and might become annoying for someone that travelled as you would have to change frequencies more often to find one not in use by a broadcast station.

My other complaint is more specific to my vehicle. My 12v accessory plugs are under the console slightly so as a result, the flex neck cannot be 'flexed' at a full right angle unless I twist the entire thing slightly to the side. This creates some problems with line-of-sight from the steering and hand remotes and can make the display hard to read if you want it to be straight up and down. So as a result I have to have it plugged in so it is at about 2 o'clock (about 30 degrees from striaght up and down) so it has a clear line to the steering wheel remote and so I can read the display.

I bought this little device which is small enough for my purse and I use it all the time. It is a terrific little thing because after I did all the research I realized I needed this thing. The problem is that it is a bit of complicated to get the thing open....I am sure that once I get the handle of it I would have no problem.

This model of Visor is more expensive than Visor Deluxe, so what's their difference?

I'll list the difference btw Deluxe and Platinum, and let you be the judge to which one to buy.

-First, Visor Platinum is the FASTEST PalmOS PDA with its 33mhz processor. Other PalmOS PDAs have either 16mhz or 20mhz. Visor deluxe has 16mhz. However, the speed of the PDA is a little overrated, since most Palm application do not require high speed processor anyway. but hey, the faster the better, right?

-Second, Visor Platinum has 4 bits display while Visor Deluxe has only 2 bits display. This means that, Platinum can display 16 levels of greyscale, while Deluxe can display only 4 level of greyscale.

-Third, Platinum has PalmOS version 3.5 while Deluxe has version 3.1. This is important because you can not upgrade PalmOS on Handspring's PDA (due to USB problem). So, this means you'll be stuck with which ever PalmOS that comes with your Visor forever. But this is not a big problem as it may sounds, b/c any PalmOS's are essentially the same thing.

-Lastly, Platinum has cool sophisicated silver color, while Deluxe has teenage iMAC style colors.

Another product I recommend if you are considering buying Visor Platinum is PalmIIIxe. PalmIIIxe also has 4 bits display like Platinum, and it also comes with PalmOS version 3.5. I'll make a list of difference btw Visor Platinum and PalmIIIxe for you. (Note that this list also include some of the differences btw Visor Deluxe and PalmIIIxe)

-PalmIIIxe is the same price as Visor Deluxe, which is about fifty bucks cheaper than Platinum

-PalmIIIxe comes with only 16mhz processor like Visor Deluxe

-Visor has expansion module, which means alot, you can add many many feature afterward, you can make your Visor am MP3 player too! And you can also easily add more memory to your Visor, while for PalmIIIxe, you can only add 2MB flashcard.

-When you buy a leather case for your Visor, you dont have to stick a valcro to the back of your PDA like you have to for Palm. (Palm need a Valcro to hold it to the case, while for Visor, there's a plastic holder attach to the back of the leather case, so you can jsut put your Visor securely in there)

-Visor comes with a fast USB cradle while Palm comes with slow serial cradle, so if you buy palm and want a fast synconizing, you'll need to buy a USB cradle separatly.

-Visor comes with a good quiality stylus, it has solid feel of metal, and if you open it up, there's a little screw driver and a reset pin inside. Palm comes with a piece of plactic stylus; buy a new stylus cost about fifteen dollars.

I did a lot of shopping when looking for a PDA using the Palm OS. I compared the Palm Vx, VII, IIIc, IIIxe and the visor series.

First off, I don't have a need for lots of color, and if I did, I would definitely have bought the 65,000 color Visor Prism for the resolution and color depth. The Platinum is a little thicker than the Vx, and comparable in size to the III and VII series. The VII has one advantage, a built-in modem (necessary service sign-up although), and the IIIc has color, but moderate color at that. The IIIxe has built-in memory upgrade capacity, but so does every Visor (8mb modules available). The platinum visor has the fastest processor available in Palm OS devices (50% faster than current Palm models, as reported by Handspring), and also uses the most up-to-date Palm OS (version 3.5.2).

For the money ..., there no better deal out there. Unless you need color, this is the best Palm PDA available. Compatible with all Palm applications (those that run on the new OS, at least... I've found that some older app's won't run), and with the built-in Springboard module expansion slot, I'm sure that there's lots more to come from this company, co-founded by the creator of Palm. New innovation and next-generation thinking will put this company and its products ahead of the competition.

I was very surprised by some of the negative comments at cnet. I then realized that most of them had been written by people who didn't have Platinums, and for some reason, had some grudge against the Handspring. I think Mac haters have gone to the PDA world looking for more people to annoy. In any case, this is a great product and I've really enjoyed mine for the few days that I've had it. Downloading Avantgo and other apps was error-free--I'm not sure what happened to the other reviewer on this site. It is "painted plastic," but it's an awfully nice paint job, and the thing doesn't feel cheap at all. It's not as slick as the Palm V. However, it's human to get nostalgic about forward-thinking designs in our old, outdated technology. ;-)

I'm a bit put off by people on other sites (including the cnet review) claiming that this product is for "power users only." This seems awfully ignorant of the fact that these products are obsolete in two years or less. Have you whipped out your Newton lately? For fifty bucks more, you can get a 33-mhz processor that may keep you ahead of the obsolescence curve by a few months, and give you a lot of speed before then. Suck it up and get with the 21st century.

A note on the screen: it does give a bit, almost (!) like paper might if you were writing on a legal pad. It's not irritating to me at all, though I seem to notice it less than others in my office. Match it up with screen protectors and you have a very realistic writing experience.

Good luck and have fun--one last thing--Handspring has been great with shipping and support so far. I had mine (in MN) within 30 hours of ordering it. I expect Amazon can do the same (I have never had a bad experience with Amazon, period). I might add that Amazon has one heck of a good deal on Rhinoskin Ti Sliders--$50! I have never seen one less than $100, even on the Rhino site.

As an upgrade to the Visor Deluxe it is obviously the same thing but faster. Noticeably faster than any other Palm device out there, but not really amazing. You will probably only see a big difference in computationally-intensive applications, or those with large databases, like Kanji Hanabi. The speed is the best thing about this product.

The worst thing about this product is the platinum case. Instead of the translucent plastic of the Deluxe model it is a painted gray plastic, and when that paint wears off (and it will) this thing is going to look like a cheap toy that's ready for the trash. The battery compartment cover doesn't fit properly it rattles. I expect more in a... device.

The clip-on cover is still a problem. Whereas the Palm III series cover flips back on a hinge, leaving a hand free for the stylus, the Handspring cover comes off. You can turn the unit over and clip it on the back, or put it down somewhere, but you have to do something with it before you can write. A clumsy design.

The big thing with Visor is of course Springboard modules. I can forgive the cover for the ability to plug in GPS, Modem, MP3, software, extra memory or even a digital camera or a phone. Palm has nothing to rival this, and now a year after launch some really useful Springboards are appearing, although some are ridiculously priced -... for a 64M MP3 module!

Apart from that... the device is very light (I was surprised to open the shipping container and find it inside, it felt far too light to contain a Visor) and includes batteries, cradle, software CD, brief guide and a few product pamphlets. The feel of the screen is not as smooth or pleasant as that of my Palm IIIe but I expect it will get better with use.

The included software installed and performed a hotsync on my Windows 2000 USB/Office 2000 system without a single problem. USB hotsync is FAST.

Unfortunately Handspring politely declined to help when I asked if I could get a set of translucent plastic for my Platinum. It would be best to see one of these before buying, or be prepared to return it if unhappy. It REALLY feels cheap and nasty.

This will be an excellent travelling email/authoring package with the Targus folding keyboard, RhinoSkin Ti slider case and CardAccess Thinmodem unless I decide Ihate this plastic so much that I return it for a Visor Deluxe instead.

I spent a fairly long time considering various handhelds available, and those that would be out in the future (including some that were based on Linux, very tempting for me). I decided, however, to go for a Handspring Visor Platinum, since it ran Palm stuff and would be able to draw on a rich history of PalmOS software. That, and the better display and CPU speed over Visor and Visor Deluxe.

After actually buying this little gadget, I must say I'm very pleased overall. The speed is excellent, the display is crisp, the Palm applications work great. The HotSync is very slick and works most of the time, although some nasty bugs cropped up when I tried to upload one app, forcing me to reboot if I wanted to sync again. One major downside is they force a USB cradle on you. While USB is fairly common and the added speed is nice, I would've liked the option -I don't have USB set up on my Linux box, so I have to buy the serial cradle to use it without Windows. I don't like spending [$] for something that could easily have been a simple option.

The only major problem is the screen. The display itself is nice. The screen material, though, is problematic. It's prone to scratches. I've had mine four days, and already have scratches in my handwriting area. They're faint, but they're there. My recommendation: buy screen protectors for this baby, you'll definitely need them.

Pros: Great CPU, crisp display, tons of Palm apps available, handspring modules make for nice expandability options, lots of cool games available (grin).

Cons: Serial cradle is a (fairly expensive) separate purchase if you want support on pre-98 versions of Windows, or BeOS or Linux. Screen is easily scratched even from daily use with the included stylus, which means you have to buy often-expensive screen protectors.

Overall: A great handheld if you don't mind a USB cradle forced on you and if you don't mind dropping [$] for screen protection.

Peek Pronto Mobile Messaging Device (Grey)

After canceling my iPhone/AT&T service, I switched to a prepaid plan on T-mobile. I just needed basic email + text messaging at a reasonable rate. I read some of the reviews here and was initially hesitant to splurge on a Peek Pronto. But after seeing a promo ad on Peek's company site for one free month of service through Radioshack, I just shrugged my shoulders and decided to buy and try it for the heck of it.

To sum it up: It's still a work in progress (inconsistent delivery of email/text messages and slow UI being the biggest flaws), but Peek's excellent customer service more than makes up for its shortcomings. I'll explain a bit more later in this review.

I'll break up my review in two categories: hardware and software.

I. Hardware

A. Build Quality Metallic back feels solid. It doesn't feel cheap at all. Because of its dedicated functionality, it's not full of bells and whistles that inflate the price. The front face has a rubbery texture that attracts lint and dust in your pocket, but so far no scratches on the LCD. Overall, it feels as solid as, let's say, an iPhone 3G.

B. Keyboard One of the best I've used on a mobile device. With my stubby, fat hands, the spacing between each key makes thumbboarding a joy. It took me a good day or so to adjust to the layout and off I went. My only beef is with the spacebar. There's this gap in between the spacebar that makes it seem as if two standard keys were placed close together and then covered by the same piece of rubber. But after a couple days, that became a non-issue.

C. QVGA LCD Sharp, easy to read, spacious enough to read emails. Nothing much to comment here since you're looking at text most of the time (along with the occasional image attachment--more about that in a bit)

D. Other notes It feels comfortable in my hand. It's also sleek and thin enough to easily slip into my jean pockets. The jogwheel on the side could be a bit better since it's not easy to turn and grip sometimes. I also wish the power button stuck out a *little* more to make it easier to turn it off. And I also wish that it had a screen-lock slide-switch rather than a dedicated key on the keyboard, but that's just preference rather than function.

Other visual stimuli include a blue LED on the upper left corner of the Peek Pronto. It will flash whenever you receive a new email. Unfortunately, there's no way to disable the flashing, so it can be distracting at times.

II. Software/UI

A. Navigation Your inbox is your "home" screen. Once you setup your primary email address and activate your device, an initial batch of emails will get "pushed" to your device. Once you push in your jogwheel, a vertical menu appears. You then scroll through the options, albeit slowly (not-so-Pronto when you want to go to "Contacts" near the bottom of the menu list).

There are various keyboard shortcuts you can learn that will save you a couple steps. Although, a shortcut to "Send" emails is conspicuously missing (instead you have to click the jogwheel, menu opens up, and then you click again to send).

B. Email & Text Send/Receive Speed This will be a sticking point for current and potential Peek buyers. For the first 5 days, delays in receiving and sending email/text messages varied. Sometimes I'd receive new email within seconds or minutes. There were times I'd get new email 5-10 minutes after they appear in my Gmail webmail. When I send/receive text messages, they sometimes arrive instantaneously, fail to reach their recipient, or arrive on the person's cell phone a day later (!). So, by all means, don't use the Peek when you need to contact a person on short notice. Call them instead.

On the plus side, for the past couple days, my emails have been arriving in my inbox almost around the same time it appears in my webmail, sometimes even *before*.

Since I use my Peek for personal email and not critical or work-related email, I'm fine with the occasional delay. Just know it's not going to replace your work's Blackberry infrastructure anytime soon.

C. Attachments I've only tested JPEG attachments, so I can't vouch for the quality of DOC/PDF attachments. Yes, you can view pictures on your Peek, but the images are so heavily compressed that they can appear dark and/or pixelated. It's adequate, but don't expect anything spectacular--just good to take a "peek" at an image before you see it on your PC. And besides, since the Peek relies on a super slow GPRS data network, it's a blessing to even have image support.

D. Contact Import What's cool is that the Peek can retrieve my contacts stored in my Gmail account. You will get an initial email notification when the download starts and then another notification when it has finished downloading all of your contacts. It detected all 100 of my contacts just fine. Also, if you compose emails to other addresses not stored in your contacts database, that email address or phone number will automatically save into your Peek contacts. So when you begin to type the address or number again, a popup appears of contacts related to those letters/numbers.

E. Search You can search through your emails. You can choose various filters, including filter out only emails with attachments. A large inbox will naturally result in longer search times.

F. Other notes No folder support, so all emails from different addresses get parsed into a single inbox view. That's something they need to change in future iterations of the OS. The only native folders available on the device other than inbox are "Sent, Draft, and Trash."

There are also settings in the Peek to add more email addresses, change the volume and vibration settings, and other minor customization options.

Despite its occasional slowness and blemishes, I love my Peek because it's saving me money. I just realized very recently that I don't need the bells and whistles of an iPhone or a typical smartphone. It's not worth paying $30 a month to download 10 fart apps. Instead of paying over $90 a month with my old iPhone plan, I'm paying $40/month for my Peek+Phone Power VOIP service at home. Major savings w/o contracts or additional fees.

And Peek's customer service is top notch. I got two free months of service b/c I called about their Radio Shack promotion and inquired about getting a deal due to the recent $20 price drop (and having only owned the Peek for less than a week). They also have a Twitter/Facebook presence, telling me that they're dedicated to helping its users and community.

To sum it all up, if you're a power-user, avoid the Peek for now until its infrastructure matures. But if you're like me and is looking to save money, cut off his/her smartphone bill, and fine with the occasional delays, then the Peek is where it's at.

I coordinate many nonprofit fundraising events and had been looking for a way to keep in touch with volunteers while prepping such events, or while such events were in progress. In most cases my event site had no wifi, or unsecured wifi. And I'm on a budget! Didn't really want to get a "smart phone".

I saw the Peek reviewed in the Wall Street Journal, and bought it to fill my need. I quickly found another benefit. I could *shut off* my laptop and handle chores, untethered to a large piece of equipment, and continue to be responsive to my volunteer base and whoever else wanted to contact me via email. Because my Peek tells *me* when I have mail I don't have to constantly visit my laptop and refresh the screen to see if I have mail.

Using the Peek saves me time in another way. I don't get distracted by the wonders of the Internet while I handle my email on my Peek.

I bought my Peek in Nov 2008, with pre-installed software version 1.04. Peek has helped me upgrade (for free, as has been its practice) to a test version of 1.09 Pronto. Compared to prior software versions, Peek Pronto has these benefits for me (note this is not a full feature list just the ones which mattered most to me):

a emails travel from my email providers' servers to my Peek faster than previously. In some cases, lightening fast seconds instead of minutes.

b texting to cell phones is preserved and also made faster. This is important to me because my sister does not use email so my "quickie" communications to her are via text to her cell phone

c search! Far better ability than before to search the Contact database. And it's available for the first time for email folders. The search capability is not as robust as Gmail and such, but it's a great start.

d the ability to read certain attachments (docs and pdfs, in addition to the jpgs previously allowed).

e louder ringtones/harder vibration settings to alert one that You Have Mail! (And Pronto has 5 ringtones, vs the one offered by prior software versions.)

f bold print to enhance one's ability to read the text of an email.

I admire Peek's constant striving to improve their product. This release is another great step forward.

I purchased a Peek when it first came out, based on a favorable review in the Wall Street Journal. I was looking for a mobile email solution to replace my Blackberry. I liked several aspects of the Peek, relative to a Blackberry or other smartphones. In a nutshell:

+ The device does not require a service contract. If you don't like it, you can discontinue the service. You can also reactivate the service later if you choose to.

+ The full keyboard on the Peek, which reminds me of the original Blackberry, is much more efficient than trying to tap out messages on a non-smartphone keypad.

+ Peek email service is relatively cheap compared to the data plan on, e.g., an iPhone.

+ The Peek allowed me to synch up with three separate email accounts and did not require forwarding copies of messages to the device like some solutions do.

That was the promise. I would still love the Peek if the device had lived up to that promise. In reality, unfortunately, the value of the device was undercut badly by a series of serious reliability and quality problems. Specifically:

The device very often cannot get a radio signal. This is obviously a huge issue. As other reviewers have pointed out, coverage is very spotty.

The Peek routinely stops receiving messages, but it provides no indication that this has happened. As a result, you don't know whether you haven't received any messages, or whether people have been sending you messages but the Peek just doesn't know it. On multiple occasions, I missed important messages because the Peek looked like it was active but in fact had stopped receiving messages. An email message from the Peek CEO to all users said that best way to make sure you had received all messages was to turn the device off and back on, but rebooting the device all throughout the day just isn't practical. This reliability issue was a real show stopper for me.

There can be a significant delay (even when the device is working) between when messages are sent and when they arrive on the Peek.

The device itself, while slim and with a nice bright screen, has significant quality issues. The cursor wheel that controls the device suffers from a noticeable lag -you have to spin it and spin it before the cursor starts to move. In addition to being an annoyance (in this day and age, we expect electronics devices to respond without a lag), it can cause real problems. For example, on multiple occasions I unintentionally deleted or sent messages because I clicked the cursor wheel a second time, thinking that I hadn't clicked it all the way the first time. To get an idea of what it's like trying to use the Peek cursor wheel (which is key to using the Peek), imagine how hard it would be to use your computer if clicking on an object on screen with your mouse sometimes did what you wanted, sometimes didn't, and sometimes did but with a three-second delay. It can cause real problems day to day.

The Peeksters (as the employees at Peek call themselves) mean well, but they don't seem to have the capacity to follow up on problems effectively. In trying to solve the reliability problems, I had multiple individuals at Peek offer to do something then drop the ball and not follow through.

After five months of using the device and upgrading to Peek Pronto, I finally decided to cut my losses and discontinue the service. I hope Peek solves these quality problems. They seem like good folks and the Peek is a neat concept, but the problems are serious enough that Peek email just isn't worth the price at this point.

P.S. Given my troubles with the Peek, I was surprised by the number of five-star ratings. Several of these reviews are from reviewers who have reviewed no other products, and I recognized at least one of those reviewer's names as matching that of a person at Peek customer support. I would suggest that you check out the reviewers, not just the reviews, so you can weed out any reviews that are actually guerrilla marketing by the company.

I bought this product with much enthusiasm and it lasted just one evening.

1. Peek website and brochures promise 3 email accounts. Hidden there is a setup (device type Classic) where you can only add 2 email accounts. This is not mentioned anywhere in the package. You can only find it on your device once you switch it on. When I called the customer service, i was asked to pay additional amount which i did with full faith and a wait time of 3-4 days, i was able to add additional email account.

2. Exactly few hours after i activated, i got a note from peek care indicating my mailbox needs tidying up and previous days emails were gone. I am still waiting for a feedback from the support team.

3. After paying additional amount, and getting it upgraded, the device keeps resetting the personal preferences constantly. When I reported the issue, the response was, "it is a known issue, this issue can only be fixed by sending the peek device to our New York office as the device is missing set of crucial files. By the way, you will not have access to your device and emails during that time.

4. Every so often, i realized that NOT all my emails show up on the Peek device. You constantly need to watch out your mailbox with another mechanism. There is no pattern that i have observed as such.

5. When I reported the issue about emails not coming into Peek, I was provided no response. Few days later, I started receiving all spam emails. With additional follow up with the customer service team, i was told that the team is waiting on some feedback from me. In addition, i was asked to provide "Subject Header" of the emails i am missing in the device.

6. There is no proper way to keep track of the issues you report to the Peek customer service team. There is no incident # or a way to follow up.

Overall, i am very disappointed and dissatisfied and discontinued the service in just a few weeks.

I was looking for good screen protectors, mainly looking at more expensive ones. But since I was already paying a lot of money to get the touch, I settled for this one since it was so cheap. I don't regret my choice.

This screen is very easy to apply. The first time I tried, it already looked pretty good, but my OCD made me take it off and try it again to align it perfectly. And so after two tries and about ten minutes (most of which was actually spent cleaning the ipod screen), I had a nice clear screen protector on my ipod! You can barely tell that it's there at all. Most of my friends with touches have to ask me if I have a protector on because they can't see it. This also doesn't leave any residue when you take it off.

Some cons are that it doesn't feel as smooth as the actual touch screen, and that it scratches about once or twice a month. But that's why you get 12 of them! And it's still infinitely better than that scratch being on the real screen. And the smoothness issue goes away after a day or two of use. Another thing is that fingerprints get left on it very easily, but you can pretty easily get rid of them by wiping it off with your shirt.

The cleaning cloth that's included isn't very good. I would suggest using regular eyeglass cleaners or just the t-shirt you're wearing.

Very pleased with this product which arrived quickly. These protectors were so easy to apply and it will be a long time before I use all 12 of them. Each one comes individually wrapped with a small cleaning paper included.

Although it specifies that these items are for the 2nd Generation iPod Touch, I have a 4th Generation and they are quite satisfactory after I use a hole puncher to accommodate the Facetime camera lens. I am sure they can be used in all generations of iPOD Touches.

First off this product received two stars despite the fact that there are 12 of these. For someone who uses their ipod touch everyday and always has their hands on it, the material will be a negative. The fact that the seller used premium in the title of the product is far fetched. After touching it for a while, me and my girlfriend both noticed that the the screen would become slick from fingerprints and we constantly have to wipe off the screen. I never experienced this with any other screen protector I ever had so when I seen that the price for 12 of these were so cheap I thought what could go wrong as long as they fit. But you learn from experience, next time I decide to purchase screen protectors I will ignore the price and read reviews. The shipping was faster than Amazon predicted though.

Good quantity at a good price; however, you get what you pay for. They're hard to put on, and they bubble a lot right in the middle when you're done putting it on. Not terrible, but there's DEFINITELY room for improvement.

NOT GOOD FOR ANYTHING BUSINESS RELATED:

+ This is not good for anything business related. In a business setting, meeting, seminar, etc. This does not have the power to project in a lit room. No one will be able to see the screen.

+ Your audience will also not be able hear the sound.

+ This is not good for a booth at a conference/seminar either. Again the lighting will make it nearly impossible to see and the picture quality is not crisp and typically washed out. You are much better off getting an LCD/LED TV and setting it up in your booth. This will not work.

+ If you are at your desk at work, run it off your computer.

+ If you are in a conference room, run it off a laptop or proper projector.

PRACTICAL USES FOR THE PROJECTOR (only good if the setting is PITCH DARK):

+ If you are in a public space w/o electricity in the evening and it is quiet as a mouse outside, you could probably use this item.

+ I can't think of any advantages of using this projector as opposed to hooking up your phone to a monitor or a real project.

Before purchasing this product, I read the reviews of the other mini-projectors listed on Amazon. At the time of this review, there wasn't a single one with a 4 or 5 star avg. They all had either 3 or 3.5 stars, and a price range from $100-350. For the most part the the reviews for all of them read the same, so I opted with the cheapest model knowing it is an early 1st generation technology that would be quickly improved upon in the next year or so. I bought it with low expectations, and my expectations were more than met, As a result i returned it.

In short the critical reviews of this projector are accurate.

1. BRIGHTNESS: w/10 lumens you can't expect much. (a typical average projector sports 3000+ lumens so that gives you an idea of what you are dealing with). In a darkened room, the picture borderline acceptable. Imagine if you had an old tube tv and the picture was starting to fade out. That is the output. The "always in focus" lens is a little bit of a stretch. Even after i increased the brightness level to the max, nearly impossible to see.

2. CORDS: It includes all chords necessary to run the projector from your phone (minus an apple chord if you are using an apple product)

3. SOUND: You can't expect miracles from a piece of technology this size. It is exactly what you would expect, like a tinny transistor radio with VERY low volume.

4. SDHC card slot: It provides a standard size Camera Card slot. play a slide show of pics, you set the transitions, etc from the projector. I dropped a video clip on my card, and the projector was not able to read it. I'm not sure if that had to do with the video format/or the operating software.

5. FUNCTIONALITY: Easy to use overall.

I opened this box with less than high expectations... I only needed it for a few small art projects, and at the price I wasn't expecting much. But I popped in my SD card and turned the lights off and to my surprise there was a clear, bright, BIG image on my wall. Ummmm... WOW?!?!? You will simply not find more bang for your buck. These are quiet fans that last and they will plug right into your motherboard. Just FYI, you want to mount these fans vertically and not horizontally because they are sleeve bearing fans. I have made the mistake of mounting these fans horizontally and they get loud and die prematurely. This is not CoolerMaster's fault, it is simply the nature of sleeve bearing fans. For horizontal applications you can use fans with a ball bearing, a rifle bearing et al.

I originally found an entry on an unnamed "deals of the day" website that had a competing site selling 2 Scythe S-FLEX (E-Series) fans for $20. I heard they (Scythe fans) were some of the best fans out there, and was about to spring for that deal... but when I realized after the added 8 dollars for shipping, it came out to be about 30 dollars... 15 bucks per fan. not so much of a bargain anymore. some fellow in that thread mentioned that if you want a real bargain, get these puppies from Amazon. Four 120mm fans for just over 10 dollars. Of course I had to take a look, and I'm glad I did.

Now, when I built my computer, I bought a CoolerMaster case (CM690). This case has room for 7 case fans I believe. It came with three of these very same model fans, so I already knew from personal experience that they were very quiet and did the job. Certainly worth 3 dollars a fan, no doubt; plus I wanted to add some extra fans since I had so many available mount areas in the case and the daily temps are in the upper 90's right now.

Ordered them, got exactly what you see in the picture. It's been said before, it's only 4 fans, and 12 screws for mounting. The fans are three pin. In my case, I have areas for 7 fans, but my board only has 3 headers! So I feel a lot of you are going to have to either get a couple of 3-pin splitters or something for these to use them all.

The fan cords themselves are approximately 12" long. My front fan cord will not reach any of the fan headers on my motherboard, so I had to use the dreaded 4-pin molex adapter /slash/ monstrosity that turns your tidy cable management into a rat's nest. That will allow you to hook up 2 of these fans into only 1 motherboard fan header -plus, it gives you an extra 12" of cord. With 24" of cable (including the fan's cable itself), it should reach to the darkest corners of any sized case, and will be a lot more manageable and cleaner looking than the hideous molex/4-pin adapters.

So how about the noise? What can we compare it to in real life? Ok -right now, in my case (1 foot from me, at about shoulder level) I have 6 of these fans running, plus the CPU fan. I would most closely compare the noise level to that of an air vent or air conditioner intake when your central AC is on. Just a very low, non-distracting flowing air noise.

Now if I get crazy and crank them to wide open, they are a bit noiser, but really not too unbearable. I would compare 6 of them at full speed to the noise level of maybe... an electric toothbrush? This is a bit distracting, as it actually catches my attention (as said though, the case is 1 foot from me, nearly level with my shoulders/head).

If you let the motherboard control the speed of the fans, they are very near silent. It sounds like maybe a newer CD-ROM drive steadily spinning a CD at idle (*not* revving up).

So if you are even questioning getting this... just spring for it. They may not be super high-end wind tunnel 250CFM fans that will allow you to use your computer case as a second freezer, but they do the job, and they do it well for such a tiny amount of money. On a side note, I recommend CoolerMaster products in general... especially their cases. Sturdy and well thought-out designs.

P.S. -fan direction and airflow is sometimes a science, depending on where your mount holes are and what kind of heatsink, etc, you have. Personally, this is my config:

1 front fan pulls air into the case, over the hard drive bay area

1 back fan, obviously pushes hot air out the back

2 top mounted fans, with air flowing upwards and out of the case (my thought behind this was hot air rises, so at the top of the case is most likely going to be hot air that I want to remove from the case, not blow it back in)

2 side mounted fans (this one is tricky, as one is over the add-in card area... which I have pulling in cool air -and the real question is: what about the fan mount right above the heatsink? I'm using the Intel stock heatsink & fan, which blows air straight up off the processor, which would be perpendicular to the side of the case. my thought here was at this mount area, have the fan blowing air *out* of the case, since hot air is going to blow off of the heatsink, into this fan, which will expel the air out the side of the case)

Point is, though: When you start working with 4, 5, 6 or more fans... you're creating areas of high and low pressure, which can make the heat move differently than you might expect. Some configurations that I expected would dramatically reduce case temps in fact did the opposite and raised my temps!

The only things I wish these fans had but don't are 1) shielded/covered cables. looks a lot nicer when the three yellow, red and black cables are wrapped in a black shielding. I imagine this could be done with some duct tape after you got your cables routing where you want, so it's not a big deal... and 2) maybe if the cables were a little bit longer... like maybe 18" would be great, for larger cases. It gets annoying having to reach in and unplug the side fans every time I want to take the side cover off! Other than that, this pack is the cat's pajamas.

It connected to my IPhone 3gs(v4) the first time and it gives you a unique 4 digit pin on the phone's screen each time you pair so you don't have to remember the code. This keyboard is the perfect size (just longer than a dollar bill); any smaller and it would be too small and any larger it wouldn't be as portable. The keys are only slightly smaller than a regular keyboard which means you can place both hands on the keys with the j and f home keys (big hands could be a problem). It take a little practice because there is no shift key on the right side so touch typers must remember to shift with the left. Most of the special keys (;-::"?) are Fn keys not in their normal locations but all of the alpha and numeric are standard. The Keys lack the slant found on the standard keyboard which take a little getting up to speed so don't expect 80 wpm out of the box it's a learning curve. Your techo friends will be green with envy.

Sweet little device I must say. Works exactly as you expect it to, but I was baffled the first few days of getting it because of Windows 7 Professional. After the first install and driver installation, Windows kept asking for a manufacturer provided "pairing" code. This is crazy because the device does not come with a code. Turns out the Windows prompt is simply misleading, all you have to do is make up a code, say, 0000, hit enter on your computer and then type the same code and hit enter on your bluetooth keyboard. Voila!

I should also add that the bluetooth dongle that comes with this device works with other bluetooth devices as well. I have already successfully hooked my 2 Nokia phones, 5800 & N900, and a Motorola wireless STEREO headset (yes A2DP) to the dongle and they all worked like a charm. Like some other reviewers have pointed out, typing and scrolling on this thing takes some getting used to. Recommended!

EDIT JAN 21, 2013, The device is still going strong. I used it with my Android Nexus 4 device while it was hooked to my HDTV. I can't believe how long this thing has served me.

I've never submitted a review before to amazon, but this case annoyed me so much I thought I'd write to pass on this warning. first, if you are using the mp3 player, you can't close the case because the area above the headphones jack is not cut out. second, you have to slide the case out to reach the on/off switch because the fabric hides that switch. the case is soldly made and doesn't appear cheap; it's just not especially convenient, but you wouldn't know it unless you tried it. I did, and now I'm looking for a better one.

I ordered the 3219WW Leaather Case for my LifeDrive based on the picture that I saw of it. That was my mistake. I previously used a Tungsten E2 and the leather case that came with it actually included space not only for flash cards but for business cards and money as well. I assumed that the leather case for the LifeDrive would have the same capabilities. Basically, you can only fit a couple of extra memory cards in the slots available. The case is attractive and it does protect my LifeDrive, I just miss having the features of my old case.

I like the magnetic closure. It is easy to flip open and the case adds little bulk to the Lifedrive. However the little pockets for holding extra SD memory chips are dangerous. The chips slip out and I lost one last week. So just don't use them. Worthwhile? I suppose so. But isn't it odd that in order to protect the new car look of our PDA's we enclose them in covers which are probably not as durable as the PDA itself, and eventually start to look ratty and worn?

First off, i've tried over half a dozen wireless mice in the last five years. Every new one seems to claim that they're all lag free. That's not the case with me. I've even tried wireless mice up to a hundred dollars in price and even some Bluetooth mice. They are usually fine on a small laptop screen, but when you connect them up to a 24" LCD there is barely noticeable lag. It's so small that 95% of people would probably not notice it at all. It only seems to occur on large screens and it's a big enough annoyance to keep me from using a wireless mouse of any kind.

I heard about the new Blue-Track technology and just figured it was just a marketing thing and not really something new. I figured it was perhaps just an Optical mouse in disguise. After losing my receiver for my VX Revolution (which is a very good mouse) I needed a new mouse for my laptop with a small receiver. I read up about these and a almost went for the Mobile Mouse 5000 instead, but glad I didn't. I saw these on display at a local store and they were out of stock. I checked online and most every place was out of stock of them. I waited a week and my local store only got in the white version. After another few weeks I ended up driving a half hour just to pick up this mouse in black. Yes, I actually waited just so I didn't have to buy the ugly white version!

Instead of connecting it to my laptop I immediately hooked it up to my PC connected to a 24" display. I immediately noticed there was no micro-lag AT ALL. I was pretty impressed to say the least. It actually tracks just as well as my Logitech G5 that I was previously using. So far I have not installed any of the software on the disc, so I can not comment on that. I usually prefer not to if I can avoid it.

In my picture viewing software the mouse scroll wheel skips by pictures too fast, so that it's nearly impossible to scroll down one image at a time. I can fix the scroll speed in the software easily i'm sure. The scroll wheel itself is a bit too thin, but this is a laptop mouse, so it's not a big deal. The wheel just feels cheap and i've always preferred the Logitech wheels due to the clicking sound it makes when you scroll it. The auto-scroll on the VX revolution is a really nice feature.

Unfortunately the entire mouse feels cheap. It IS cheap, so that's not a big deal. It's not bad enough to make me want to not use it though. There is a rubber grip material on both sides of the mouse and i'm not sure why this was needed, since it's too smooth to begin with. It does however make the mouse look a bit better. It is a very well designed mouse and looks pretty nice.

I'm currently using this still on my desktop computer. As my main mouse it's a bit small, but for a laptop it's PERFECT. I actually liked the blue-track so much that I went out and bought the Wireless Mouse 5000 for my desktop. I didn't like that much (too big and heavy!) so I'm going to keep this for desktop use despite it being so small.

My suggestion to Microsoft is that they should make a higher quality version of this. One with a metal scroll wheel and better buttons. Pretty much like a top of the line model like the MX revolution. This actually tracks better then that mouse, so why not?

It's the best tracking wireless mouse i've ever tried and the best mouse you can get for the price!

I love this mouse so much that I did end up buying two of them. One for my main computer and the second for my laptop. The nice thing about it when using it on a laptop is the receiver is so small you don't notice it. I tested the tracking on carpet, wood flooring and even glass and it was no problem. The most difficult surface for it to track on is tan leather. I often sit in my leather recliner while using my laptop and put the mouse on the arm rest (it's pretty wide). Sounds dumb, but it works! It's not even all that flat, but slightly curved! Occasionally after every 10 minutes the mouse starts to throw a fit and I have to switch to a different surface. Once I use it on a different surface for a few minutes and switch back, it's fine. It's almost as if the mouse re-learns how to track on the new surface. Very strange. I'm just amazed that it'd even work on such a surface to begin with.

The only minor negative i've found is that the battery doesn't last long. It's not even worth mentioning since batteries are so cheap. I've been through about two in a month. I've also noticed some stores charging more for some colors due to being hard to find!

I purchased the MS mouse 3500 for my daughter. It was about a month later when she had the "meltdown". I called Microsoft and they knew about the problem, sent a replacement mouse (different color), and advised us not to purchase another one from the store because the first batch of mice have this issue. They explained that they have resolved it, but some of the retail stores have inventories from the first batch. Of course, Microsoft recommends purchasing a mouse from their website so that you can be assured that you won't have to contend with a "meltdown". If you had this problem, Microsoft will replace your bad mouse free of charge if you just take the time to call. Yes, it is inconvenient, but it is a great mouse!! Our replacement works perfectly and for months now. We are looking to purchase two more. (Everyone in our home wants to use my daughter's mouse.) Why would anyone pay for the same item twice after having a problem with it? YOU DO NOT HAVE TO SPEND MORE MONEY ON A NEW MOUSE!!

Great mouse! Tracks excellently, feels really good in the hand. But after owning it for a week the nano receiver broke, so now the whole mouse is unusable and I am forced to spend another $40 on another mouse, EXTREMELY frustrating. I didn't bump the receiver or physically touch it in anyway. I usually just left it in my computer, then turned the mouse on when I wanted to use it. But after a week I turned on the mouse and nothing happened. I pulled out the receiver and the metal part was extremely hot to the touch and so was my usb port.

I bought this wireless mouse mainly because it was advertised to work on almost any surface and because of the nano receiver. While I really liked the design and features of the mouse, the reliability issue turned me off. The mouse worked for exactly five days. At the end of the fifth day, my computer did not recognize the USB nano receiver. When I plugged the nano receiver from the USB port, I immediately knew what was wrong. The receiver was too hot; apparently shorted out somehow. It turns out this is more common than I thougth (just search on google). Microsoft Mobile mouse 4000 is best wireless mouse I have ever used. I purchased mine from an OfficeMax store in Brooklyn but today it stopped working. When I went to investigate why the mouse wasn't working I discovered that the wireless receiver (the part you plug-in to your pc) was extremely hot to the touch, at least 120°F. Removing it and placing it in a different usb port caused it to heat up again. So now I am stuck with an otherwise wonderful (wonderful because it makes less noise while scrolling and clicking than the Logitech V450 mouse) that I can't use.

These headphones work great. I have had no problems with them what so ever. Sound card works well, my sound card is better though (Creative Fata1ty). This is one fantastic headset. The earcups are huge which means they are extremely comfortable to wear for long periods of time, and the auto adjusting headband makes the headset very light on your head. To all the gamers out there I want to let you know that the Microphone works magnificently even unattached from the headset (mine is 5 feet away and crystal clear) but you have to use the included soundcard (my onboard soundcard made the output very low) Overall my favorite headset to date.
