rooCASE Neoprene Super Bubble Sleeve Case for Acer Aspire One AO751h-1893 11.6-Inch (Black / Red)

rooCASE Neoprene Super Bubble Sleeve Case for Acer Aspire One AO751h-1893 11.6-InchThis case was absolutely perfect until the zipper on the small pouch broke soon after the case arrived. The case fits the Acer Aspire One 11.6 perfectly, and is really attractive. It also protects the computer very well. I love everything about the case except the zipper breaking. I don't know if the zipper breaking was a result of a poor design, or a manufacturing anomaly.

Amazon processed the return effortlessly. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to try this same case again, and test my luck with the zipper, or if I'll try something different.

If I knew that my zipper problem was a fluke, I would give this case 5 stars and buy the same one again in an instant. If I knew it was a design flaw and prone to happen again, I would give it none. Since I'm unsure, I'll give it four for now, until I hear from other customers about their experiences with the zippers.

White Amazon Kindle Fire 360° Rotating Leather Case Cover with Swivel Stand and Screen Protector

White Amazon Kindle Fire 360° Rotating Leather Case Cover with Swivel Stand and Screen Protector
  • Rotate 360 degree between horizontal and vertical position in different viewing angle.
  • View Kindle Fire in multiple viewing or typing angles for both horizontal and vertical position.
  • Clean slim fit with minimal weight and bulk. High quality Construction and stitching. Eco-Friendly artificial leather material.
  • Cut outs designed to ensure access of all Kindle Fire ports, cameras and speaker.
  • Combo include: Kindle Fire case and screen guard(1 piece). Accessory ONLY Kindle Fire not included.

I had ordered this case for my kindle fire so my 6 and 3 year old kids could use it as well. I honestly spent about 3 days going over a million different cases and i was specifically looking for "Durability, price not too high, and i Needed it to be able to stand vertically without toppling over. (also it had to be white so i could put my "Getglue" collection of stickers on it ; ) ) I found this one here for 11.99 for the white swivel case and the plus side: it came with a screen protector, which is great for when the little guys watch there shows on it. I did also standard shipping and it came in within 5 days which was quicker than i anticipated!

~ When it first came in yesterday and i opened it i was pleased to have received a pen (for being one of the company's earlier buyers) along with the case and protector in the package , which was a very nice gift ; )

*THE CASE:

~ I am very happy with my case. I love how it is clean and sleek once you put the kindle inside it. Without the kindle it doesn't look as good but When closed w kindle inside it protects the kindle very much, and when open it looks good and feels good, It isn't heavy feeling or flimsy either , it is just right for my needs. The kindle does stand up nicely while it is standing horizontally When you stand the kindle vertical though it needs to be on the first groove, otherwise it is a bit top heavy and can fall over, But it is perfect for me as i like to read my books vertical and i can do so even when it is one the lowest groove and slightly slanted! It just doesn't stand up quite like it looks in the picture, unless something is behind it supporting the top ; ) Also My kids are able to hold this case w kindle inside well, and aren't dropping it all over the place! (When I let them use it) . x0x I am very pleased with my purchase here!

THE SCREEN PROTECTOR:

~Upon purchase i had thought, "ok it's a plus i can get a protector w the pkg, since my kids AND I get our prints all over it and i am constantly wiping it down. I really didn't think the protector would be a nice or easy to put on as it was. ( I recently had gotten one that was wayyyy more expensive and came w the spray and all but it wasn't easy to get on like this one. and I have NO lint under it . Also the bubbles were Very few, and alllll of them smoothed right out easy as pie, I used the squeegee from the previous protector to do the bubbles on this one instead of a credit card! No scratches or lint on my protector now since it was the 2 step protector ( take off side on smooth onto kindle take out bubbles AND THEN take off side 2 After application ) * SO I am pleased with the protector very much! Though it still does have a glare! I don't recommend for "JUST" glare prevention, but for keeping the screen itself from getting scratched up at some point ,, then this one is just fine!

THE PEN~

The pen is really a great tool for the kindle fire, basic black, and great if you don't want to use your fingers on the screen it flips pages well and taps icons fine. Also it seems better at drawing than the first stylus i purchased....I didn't expect to get this little pen and i don't really care to bother using it! It is great if you want one though! I just don't ever use it! Though I might end up using it at some points.. My husband uses it one his "Acer tablet" and he loves it! So it is put to good use and works on all electronic touchscreen devices that i have in my house,, Ipod cellphones and other tablets...! SO I thank the seller very much for the extra little gift!

*** OVERALL

Great quality case, I love the white ( need to keep it clean ) ALSO There is N0 "smell" on this case at all, as I have read so many reviews on other cases where the buyer said the smell of the case when first opening package was strong & off putting But this case smells like nothing, so no worries in case anyone wonders ; )

I found this seller to have full-filled all the needs I was looking for when i purchased this item.. and hey little extras are always great!

x0x I give this seller 10/10 ~ I strongly recommend the case/screen protector/ and or also the touchscreen pen. from this seller, if you are looking for nice quality kindle protection at a reasonable price ~x0x0x

Targus Wireless Numeric Keypad AKP11US (Black with Gray)

Targus Wireless Numeric Keypad AKP11US
  • Full sized keys are comfortable and large for increased accuracy; Great for those working on spreadsheets, accounting files or financial applications
  • Ergonomic tilt provides support to help prevent wrist strain
  • Wireless technology provides a cordless workspace and allows the keypad to function up to 33 feet away from the receiver
  • Battery indicator light lets users know when batteries are running low so there are no surprises

OK, so I bought this item in a store. However, since mac users need something like this, I feel compelled to write a review. I have only used this a couple of times but it works fine. I am right handed so I place the pad to the right of my mac pro 17" and it works fine, even though my mac pro has all of its usb sockets on the left. There is no problem up close and it works up to about 1 meter away; that's all I need right now. As far as it having no equal sign, pressing the enter button gives the result of a calculation.

Buy Targus Wireless Numeric Keypad AKP11US (Black with Gray) Now

pretty much perfect. It works well, no skipping or etc, the USB dongle can be placed underneath the keypad for storage. The keys have a nice positive feel to them. And it looks like a million bucks. I even like that it requires just one single AAA battery.

I went from the Targus corded model, which worked fine, but had no TAB key, which I really need. I love this cordless version has the TAB key, a tilted keypad and space for the USB to store in the back! Great price, great buy all the way around!

Want Targus Wireless Numeric Keypad AKP11US (Black with Gray) Discount?

I use this product on my mac. I had a ton of trouble figuring out why this product wasn't working. Then I realized the reason: if the keypad is further than 2 inches from the USB link, then it does not work accurately! What is the point of a wireless keypad if you have to use it right next to the input? Since I'm right-handed, I had to buy a special USB extension cord to extend the input to the right side of the computer. I would not recommend this product to anyone. Right now I'm looking for a keypad with a wire, arrow keys, and a backspace button.

Not much to say here. It's a functional product and works well and immediately when you plug it into the laptop. Very good product and highly recommendable.

SanDisk SDDR-64-768 Compact Flash to PC Card Adapter

SanDisk SDDR-64-768 Compact Flash to PC Card Adapter
  • PC adapter card for CompactFlash memory cards
  • Insert into any PCI slot
  • Use any Type I CompactFlash card
  • Rugged and durable
  • Easy to install and use

I was very excited to get this card adapter so I could stop using my external USB device to down load photos. I popped it in and inserted my 4GB card which wasn't nearly full, and it told me the estimated time to finish was 25 minutes!!! I couldn't ever remember it taking that long, so I cancelled the transfer after watching it for about 5 minutes or so just to make sure it wasn't going to speed up or equalize or something. I put the same card in my usual USB card reader and it started the transfer (of all photos, not just the remaining ones), and it took 7 minutes to complete. I don't think that USB 2.0 is slower than PCMCIA bus, because you can get a USB 2.0 PCMCIA card adaptor! I can't figure out why a simple device would cause the transfer to take so long. It wasn't really worth the effort to return the opened $12 item and get charged a restocking fee, so I still have it, but I only use my USB card reader. Maybe it would work better as a coaster for drinks or something!

Buy SanDisk SDDR-64-768 Compact Flash to PC Card Adapter Now

This product is exactly what I was looking for! It is the perfect solution to not carrying around your annoying USB card reader. This shipped in a couple of days, plugged it in to my Dell 600M laptop, and it works beautifully! And with a name like SanDisk, you know you are getting a quality product! Don't think twice, BUY IT NOW!

Oh, and to those wondering if, when plugged in, it is flush with the side of your laptop (as I was wondering)...IT IS! Even when you have a CF card in, it is still flush with the side of your laptop. It does NOT pertrude one bit, unlike WiFi cards!

I don't know why these types of cards are still on the market--they are old, slow, and obsolete. Instead, search for 32-bit Cardbus adapters such as the ones made by Viking, Delkin, or Lexar, which are many times faster but not much more expensive. And, they fit in the same PC card slot on most laptops made in the last decade. The 32-bit cards I have used are even a bit faster than USB 2.0 and Firewire.

You can spot 32-bit cards by the gold strip at the top of the card. No gold strip? Then prepare to wait an hour or more for your data to transfer, while your laptop is brought to its knees. The old silver cards may be fine for storing and playing mp3s, or may be needed for laptops made more than 10 years ago, but any large amount of data--such as GBs of photos or video-will take quite a while to copy over. Why would you want a reader that is SLOWER than your flash media?

Want SanDisk SDDR-64-768 Compact Flash to PC Card Adapter Discount?

Especially good for laptop users. Faster, smaller, and CHEAPER than most USB solutions. I lost my USB reader about a month after buying this. I didn't even care to go look for it. Works great with my Apple Powerbooks.

[update: this product is old technology now. faster products are available]

Transfer rates were around 1Mb per second too slow for good video playback. I don't understand why SanDisk would offer a slow 16 bit PCMCIA (Type I) card that you could never take advantage of Ultra or Extreme compact flash memory? If you want to transfer large files to or from compact flash memory, purchase the 32 bit PCMCIA (Type II) adapter made by Viking InterWorks. With the Viking adapter, a 6 GB of iTunes folder was moved in about 5 minutes (~20Mb/sec)) to a 16Gb Extreme III compact flash card.

Handspring Visor Platinum (Silver)

Handspring Visor Platinum
  • 50 percent faster than Handspring Visor Deluxe
  • 8 MB RAM stores thousands of addresses, appointments, to-do items, and more
  • Features address book, to-do list, memo pad, date book, advanced calculator, and world clock
  • Fully compatible with thousands of Palm OS applications
  • What's in the box: Visor Platinum, Graphite HotSync cradle, 8 MB RAM, AAA batteries, Graphite snap cover, Leather case

This model of Visor is more expensive than Visor Deluxe, so what's their difference?

I'll list the difference btw Deluxe and Platinum, and let you be the judge to which one to buy.

-First, Visor Platinum is the FASTEST PalmOS PDA with its 33mhz processor. Other PalmOS PDAs have either 16mhz or 20mhz. Visor deluxe has 16mhz. However, the speed of the PDA is a little overrated, since most Palm application do not require high speed processor anyway. but hey, the faster the better, right?

-Second, Visor Platinum has 4 bits display while Visor Deluxe has only 2 bits display. This means that, Platinum can display 16 levels of greyscale, while Deluxe can display only 4 level of greyscale.

-Third, Platinum has PalmOS version 3.5 while Deluxe has version 3.1. This is important because you can not upgrade PalmOS on Handspring's PDA (due to USB problem). So, this means you'll be stuck with which ever PalmOS that comes with your Visor forever. But this is not a big problem as it may sounds, b/c any PalmOS's are essentially the same thing.

-Lastly, Platinum has cool sophisicated silver color, while Deluxe has teenage iMAC style colors.

Another product I recommend if you are considering buying Visor Platinum is PalmIIIxe. PalmIIIxe also has 4 bits display like Platinum, and it also comes with PalmOS version 3.5. I'll make a list of difference btw Visor Platinum and PalmIIIxe for you. (Note that this list also include some of the differences btw Visor Deluxe and PalmIIIxe)

-PalmIIIxe is the same price as Visor Deluxe, which is about fifty bucks cheaper than Platinum

-PalmIIIxe comes with only 16mhz processor like Visor Deluxe

-Visor has expansion module, which means alot, you can add many many feature afterward, you can make your Visor am MP3 player too! And you can also easily add more memory to your Visor, while for PalmIIIxe, you can only add 2MB flashcard.

-When you buy a leather case for your Visor, you dont have to stick a valcro to the back of your PDA like you have to for Palm. (Palm need a Valcro to hold it to the case, while for Visor, there's a plastic holder attach to the back of the leather case, so you can jsut put your Visor securely in there)

-Visor comes with a fast USB cradle while Palm comes with slow serial cradle, so if you buy palm and want a fast synconizing, you'll need to buy a USB cradle separatly.

-Visor comes with a good quiality stylus, it has solid feel of metal, and if you open it up, there's a little screw driver and a reset pin inside. Palm comes with a piece of plactic stylus; buy a new stylus cost about fifteen dollars.

Are these difference worth the more money you pay for Platinum? Let yourself be the judge, see what you need.

Buy Handspring Visor Platinum (Silver) Now

I did a lot of shopping when looking for a PDA using the Palm OS. I compared the Palm Vx, VII, IIIc, IIIxe and the visor series.

First off, I don't have a need for lots of color, and if I did, I would definitely have bought the 65,000 color Visor Prism for the resolution and color depth. The Platinum is a little thicker than the Vx, and comparable in size to the III and VII series. The VII has one advantage, a built-in modem (necessary service sign-up although), and the IIIc has color, but moderate color at that. The IIIxe has built-in memory upgrade capacity, but so does every Visor (8mb modules available). The platinum visor has the fastest processor available in Palm OS devices (50% faster than current Palm models, as reported by Handspring), and also uses the most up-to-date Palm OS (version 3.5.2).

For the money ..., there no better deal out there. Unless you need color, this is the best Palm PDA available. Compatible with all Palm applications (those that run on the new OS, at least... I've found that some older app's won't run), and with the built-in Springboard module expansion slot, I'm sure that there's lots more to come from this company, co-founded by the creator of Palm. New innovation and next-generation thinking will put this company and its products ahead of the competition.

I was very surprised by some of the negative comments at cnet. I then realized that most of them had been written by people who didn't have Platinums, and for some reason, had some grudge against the Handspring. I think Mac haters have gone to the PDA world looking for more people to annoy. In any case, this is a great product and I've really enjoyed mine for the few days that I've had it. Downloading Avantgo and other apps was error-free--I'm not sure what happened to the other reviewer on this site. It is "painted plastic," but it's an awfully nice paint job, and the thing doesn't feel cheap at all. It's not as slick as the Palm V. However, it's human to get nostalgic about forward-thinking designs in our old, outdated technology. ;-)

I'm a bit put off by people on other sites (including the cnet review) claiming that this product is for "power users only." This seems awfully ignorant of the fact that these products are obsolete in two years or less. Have you whipped out your Newton lately? For fifty bucks more, you can get a 33-mhz processor that may keep you ahead of the obsolescence curve by a few months, and give you a lot of speed before then. Suck it up and get with the 21st century.

A note on the screen: it does give a bit, almost (!) like paper might if you were writing on a legal pad. It's not irritating to me at all, though I seem to notice it less than others in my office. Match it up with screen protectors and you have a very realistic writing experience.

Good luck and have fun--one last thing--Handspring has been great with shipping and support so far. I had mine (in MN) within 30 hours of ordering it. I expect Amazon can do the same (I have never had a bad experience with Amazon, period). I might add that Amazon has one heck of a good deal on Rhinoskin Ti Sliders--$50! I have never seen one less than $100, even on the Rhino site.

Want Handspring Visor Platinum (Silver) Discount?

As an upgrade to the Visor Deluxe it is obviously the same thing but faster. Noticeably faster than any other Palm device out there, but not really amazing. You will probably only see a big difference in computationally-intensive applications, or those with large databases, like Kanji Hanabi. The speed is the best thing about this product.

The worst thing about this product is the platinum case. Instead of the translucent plastic of the Deluxe model it is a painted gray plastic, and when that paint wears off (and it will) this thing is going to look like a cheap toy that's ready for the trash. The battery compartment cover doesn't fit properly it rattles. I expect more in a... device.

The clip-on cover is still a problem. Whereas the Palm III series cover flips back on a hinge, leaving a hand free for the stylus, the Handspring cover comes off. You can turn the unit over and clip it on the back, or put it down somewhere, but you have to do something with it before you can write. A clumsy design.

The big thing with Visor is of course Springboard modules. I can forgive the cover for the ability to plug in GPS, Modem, MP3, software, extra memory or even a digital camera or a phone. Palm has nothing to rival this, and now a year after launch some really useful Springboards are appearing, although some are ridiculously priced -... for a 64M MP3 module!

Apart from that... the device is very light (I was surprised to open the shipping container and find it inside, it felt far too light to contain a Visor) and includes batteries, cradle, software CD, brief guide and a few product pamphlets. The feel of the screen is not as smooth or pleasant as that of my Palm IIIe but I expect it will get better with use.

The included software installed and performed a hotsync on my Windows 2000 USB/Office 2000 system without a single problem. USB hotsync is FAST.

Unfortunately Handspring politely declined to help when I asked if I could get a set of translucent plastic for my Platinum. It would be best to see one of these before buying, or be prepared to return it if unhappy. It REALLY feels cheap and nasty.

This will be an excellent travelling email/authoring package with the Targus folding keyboard, RhinoSkin Ti slider case and CardAccess Thinmodem unless I decide Ihate this plastic so much that I return it for a Visor Deluxe instead.

I spent a fairly long time considering various handhelds available, and those that would be out in the future (including some that were based on Linux, very tempting for me). I decided, however, to go for a Handspring Visor Platinum, since it ran Palm stuff and would be able to draw on a rich history of PalmOS software. That, and the better display and CPU speed over Visor and Visor Deluxe.

After actually buying this little gadget, I must say I'm very pleased overall. The speed is excellent, the display is crisp, the Palm applications work great. The HotSync is very slick and works most of the time, although some nasty bugs cropped up when I tried to upload one app, forcing me to reboot if I wanted to sync again. One major downside is they force a USB cradle on you. While USB is fairly common and the added speed is nice, I would've liked the option -I don't have USB set up on my Linux box, so I have to buy the serial cradle to use it without Windows. I don't like spending [$] for something that could easily have been a simple option.

The only major problem is the screen. The display itself is nice. The screen material, though, is problematic. It's prone to scratches. I've had mine four days, and already have scratches in my handwriting area. They're faint, but they're there. My recommendation: buy screen protectors for this baby, you'll definitely need them.

Pros: Great CPU, crisp display, tons of Palm apps available, handspring modules make for nice expandability options, lots of cool games available (grin).

Cons: Serial cradle is a (fairly expensive) separate purchase if you want support on pre-98 versions of Windows, or BeOS or Linux. Screen is easily scratched even from daily use with the included stylus, which means you have to buy often-expensive screen protectors.

Overall: A great handheld if you don't mind a USB cradle forced on you and if you don't mind dropping [$] for screen protection.

Acer Aspire V3-571G-6622 15.6-Inch Laptop (Midnight Black)

Acer Aspire V3-571G-6622 15.6-Inch Laptop
  • Intel Core i5-3230M Processor - 2.6 GHz (3 MB Cache)
  • 4 GB DDR3 RAM
  • 500 GB 5400 rpm Hard Drive
  • 15.6-Inch Screen, NVIDIA GeForce GT 730M
  • Windows 8, 4.5-hour battery life

this computer arrived the 22nd of this month...took outta the box.......added another 4g of memory and this thing is fast. Have been a little worried as I know this version has not been out to long but i am completely satisfied. No problems once you figure windows 8 out. As a mid-range gamer I would have to give this 6 stars. At this time I have only played one game and that is WoW...runs anywhere from 60-100fps in starting zones. Have not tried dungeons or raiding with it at this time but will let you know. I run the autoselect for the video. It switches back and forth from the integrated graphics and the dedicated graphics when needed. For the price I will be buying another one in the near future. And I would also like to say Amazon customer service was excellent when I contacted them about the long wait to ship this computer. Talked with them Wednesday online and had the laptop here by 2 p.m. Friday. Thank you Randee!!!!

Buy Acer Aspire V3-571G-6622 15.6-Inch Laptop (Midnight Black) Now

I've had this computer for about 3 months and so far its been able to do everything I want it to. Runs my main game Aion between 30-40 fps on max settings (around 50-60ish on medium), has a decent battery life (4 hours) and isn't too expensive. I've also played GW2, Tera, CIV V & Anno 2070 without any problems. As the title says I have been looking for a computer for a year that is between $500-$600, has a dedicated gfx card and is 15'.

Windows gives it a base score of 4.6

Processor: 7.1

Ram: 5.9

Gfx: 4.6

Gaming gfx: 6.5

HD: 5.9

A few gripes:

1. Fingerprint magnet

2. I usually carry my laptop in the space that's between the top of the keyboard and the edge of the screen for stability, the power button is too close to the edge of the laptop and I've accidently turned it off a few times.

3. I appreciate the minimalist design, but there's nothing to indicate when caps lock/ num lock is on.

Overall, I would recommend this comp to anyone who doesn't want to break the bank while still getting decent performance.

I bought this laptop in a hurry when my old one inexplicably crashed. I had someone else do the research on it for me and I am not a technical person, but this is what I can tell you.

The computer is used mostly for gaming, and it's fine for that (lovely LED graphics). However, if you plan on multitasking even a small amount, it is v-e-r-y slow. Those of you who understand processors and RAM and such things can no doubt look at the stats and figure out why.

I like this computer, I'm glad to have it, but I miss the speed of my old one.

Aesthetically, it's pretty, but you can see every fingerprint and it scratches very easily.

That's pretty much all I can say. Also, Windows 8 sucks, but that has nothing to do with the computer.

Want Acer Aspire V3-571G-6622 15.6-Inch Laptop (Midnight Black) Discount?

This is by far the best laptop for the dollar that I could find. Very sleek looking machine. It is also very thin. Not Ultrabook thin but thin for a laptop with an I5 and a dedicated GPU. The Laptop seems to be well built, pretty sturdy. No Flex. I also added another 4 gigs of memory to the Laptop. Overall the machine is pretty fast. I was surprised how well it ran Sim City and Mass Effect 3. The only thing that I don't really care for is the track pad. It works but it seems a little sensitive to clicks. I also don't like the fact that its not in the center. But that's just me. Highly recommend this machine to anyone looking for something with a little kick but dont want to spend an arm and a leg on a good performing machine.

So far impressed! I was debating between this model and another Acer V3 with an intel7 processor, I am glad I got this one however. The third gen i5 in this unit is a very powerful processor and so far everything runs ultra smooth and fast. I ama mid-level gamer adn Graduate student so I wanted a hybrid computer that was sleek and could take notes on and also had the capability to run games and multitask; this computer does all of that perfectly. The fan is never more than a quite hum, never gets hot, and is a sleek thin design. The 4GB of DDR3 is plenty sufficient, but because I do enjoy gaming and often multitask with many programs I added another 4GB of RAM from TigerDirect, popped it in and instantly recognized it, didn't have to do anything special. With the added RAM this machine compares to $800+ competitors. I run LoL, SCII and other similar games on high settings with no issues while playing music through itunes and having browser windows open. I purchased a mouse but the track-pad seemed fine to me, I have seen some negative reviews about the touch-pad but I haven't had any issues when I have used it so far. The graphics card is awesome! So far nothing bad to say, even windows 8 isn't a problem. I was hesitant at first reading all the negativity on windows 8 but (coming from a gamer and win 7 fanboy) win 8 is nothing to get discouraged over. Yes some tings are formatted different but all the functionality remains and in fact some features are pretty cool that win 7 doesn't offer. Overall I HIGHLY recommend this computer and I have NEVER seen anything compare for this price.

rooCASE 10.2-Inch 11.6-Inch 12.1-Inch Netbook Carrying Bag (Classic Series - Black)

rooCASE 10.2-Inch 11.6-Inch 12.1-Inch Netbook Carrying BagI bought the RooCase deluxe directly through PCMicroStore to take advantage of its discount. It fits my Acer Aspire 722-0473 11.6 like a glove, protects it with sufficient padding, and holds the netbook, a full size hardback novel, the adapter, a small pad, Ipod and over the ear headphones. I've had it for more than a month now. The case and computer have held up against freezing weather, light rain and rough handling. The shoulder strap works, although it could use some additional padding and I appreciate the velcro strap inside the bag that holds the netbook in place. The carrying handles are also held together with Velcro. Nicely done.

rooCASE 10.2, 11.6, 12.1 inch Netbook Bag...a Beautiful and HIGH quality bag with plenty of room, thoughtfully organized for those needing mobility and space. I bought this bag the end of June for a new HP 11.6 netbook with the idea in mind that it would also serve as storage for my Blackberry, bluetooth headset, and chargers, along with the adaptor, external DVD/CD player, charger and flash card for my HP. It worked well for me in terms of space as an All-In-One Mobility Bag for a slim, 11 inch netbook. If I had any complaints it would be that rooCase does not seem to make these for larger laptops. My first choice was to look there for the new HP 17.3 inch that I am in the process of ordering. This is a very good quality case, reasonably well padded and highly organizable and for the mobility I had in mind...travel...I find it to be perfect. Now if I can just get them to start making Larger cases!

Thanks Amazon for reminding me that I hadn't yet reviewed this item. You really are my GO TO website for everything I'm considering purchasing (always too much), for better product description, for great reviews by a terrific global community of individuals whose opinions are most appreciated (5 stars), and as always for me... I bought this case to hold my Samsung Chromebook. The lap top is small and I was having a hard time finding one that fit it nicely at the brick and mortar locations. This case fits it perfectly. The computer is not bulky so I didn't want a case that was. The rooCASE is sized nicely for small computers and you can still fit a book or other documentation inside the case as well as the charger.

IRISPen Express

after about 1.5 hours of practice and recalibrating over and over again, this is what the first few lines scanned from the irispen manual look like:

'he IRISPen may be the biggest sensation in computeriand since the mouse \ As efficient as computers are, you have to encode your data first. If you've ever If y-u'veever rekeyed text, you kn(ng and time-consuming it can be.... The IRISPen, a unique product for every computer user, offers instantaneous vaI at your fingertips. (JP to a 100 characters can be entered per second. Cut from paper, paste to Windows-: can you imagine a simpler way of entering text?

Is it worth it? Spell check couldn't even fix this disaster. I am a very computer saavy person, I don't think I am using it wrong, I think they just really haven't perfected the text recognition software. The one review above must be an irispen employee. I find it hard to believe right out of the box, that it worked perfectly...and then to encourage you to upgrade??? Laughable. You will spend more time fixing the scanning errors than if you just typed it yourself. Going back to amazon tomorrow!

This worked once and then stopped calibrating, so it no longer functions. Iris claims to have customer support, but there is none. I have been calling and emailing them once a week for three months. I got one reply a month ago promising to replace it. I never got it. Their web site has little to no useful help. Iris ranks as the worse company I have ever dealt with. Pity anyone who gets a faulty pen! What a waste of money! I hate feeling ripped off!

As a scholar who deals with a lot of rare material, I thought this pen would be a god-send in helping me transcribe material to my computer. The manufacturer boasts near-100% accuracy. I give it 40% at best. Sometimes, if you have a white piece of paper, clear, 12-point text, you can get 80% accuracy, but this is a rare occurrence.

I ended up spending more time "correcting" the text from the Iris Pen than I would have typing it out...so now my $70 "tool" sits unused on my desk.

I can't wait for the day that an actual pen-scanner works, but today is not that day.

Want IRISPen Express Discount?

This entire opinion is entered directly into the amazon review page with the IRISPen using a hard copy of a file I printed with my inkjet printer, very typical, 12-pt, Times font.

I took the pen out of its box and read the directions very carefully. As usual, the Mac I took the pen out of its box and read the directions very caretuuy. Be sure to click the desktop image to bring up a fresh window with the IrisPen.

I read the bad reviews here, but I really need what IRISPen is supposed to do. I took the plunge and ordered it, bracing myself for the worst.

Calibration was a breeze; you just touch the pen to a sample of white paper. Then, without reading into the manual, I drew the pen over a sentence In an open book. Flawless! I went on to do the entire page, speeding up until I was going full speed, over one line per second, as fast as I could go and keep the pen on eourse. Three errors in about 600 words; a missed period and two "a's" seen as "11."

This item greatly helps my editorial work. No longer do I have to destroy books to get a few pages onto my flatbed scanner, nor do I have to re-type long passages of text from bound sources. The pen doesn't care about the font of the original, and you can select any font and size you want to be sent to the target program.

My opinion is that some people are naturally klutzy and may have difficulties getting the feel of this unusual tool. There is a certain slant and technique that came naturally to me, but might be awkward to someone who can't dance or throw baskets. There is a If you keep your eye on the arrow, allowing the line of text to become a passing blur as you drag the pen, it all works out very well. A little practice might help, although I needed none at all.

I highly recommend this item without reservations to any Mac user. It works better than advertised, taking into account I haven't even cracked the instruction manual yet. The PC instructions seemed quite geeky and were considerably longer than the Mac instructions, but I imagine those still confined to the tiny PC universe can probably do fine with IRISPen if they pay very close attention to the instruction manual.

I have read the reviews here and elsewhere about this product before I bought it. But I was in the need of something for quick little jobs more convenient than my flatbed scanner and faster than my typing and gave it a try. No regrets at all.

I do a lot of research with quoting of one or two paragraphs out of books or papers, mainly in German language. The IrisPen works very well for me in English, in French and in German (no problem with the umlauts etc.; I have not tried other languages).

One thing is important: you have to calibrate the pen very carefully like any instrument that needs calibration. Calibrate it with a WHITE sheet of printer paper, not with a slightly off-white like a book page or similar.

And you have to practice a bit how you hold it to get the hang of it. When scanning you should see the green light ALL the time, it should not flicker. It is named "pen" but you manoeuvre it different than a writing pen. If you keep that in mind you will be successful!

My IrisPen sits just behind my keyboard, as easily to grab as my mouse and I love it as a big time saver.

Jawbone Icon - The Bombshell

Jawbone Icon - The BombshellWell, this is a family thing, My son, now his wife and I are all proud owners of the Jawbone ICON. Each of us LOVES this product. It is in fact the best I've ever owned.

I love this Jawbone for many reasons. It is so convenient and comfortable to wear. I forget I have it on. But I also love it because it is simply beautiful. I've had many people stop me in retail stores to ask if it's a blue tooth device or a piece of jewelry. I always give them the name and where to purchase one. I have the gold but there are other colors to choose from. This is definite the ladies choice and is a lovely accent piece in addition to being one of THE BEST ear buds out there. But why wouldn't it be. It's a Jawbone!

Buy Jawbone Icon - The Bombshell Now

This very overpriced bluetooth device does not fit into the ear, nor does it stay in place. The sound was good on the receiving end and tolerable on the other end, although people said they could hear background noise. I would turn it on and it would be connected, then arbitrarily the connection to my phone would break and there would be no sound either in the bluetooth OR in the phone! I had my cell phone checked and it was not the problem. I finally lost this bluetooth device and have replaced it with a Motorola that cost 1/5 the price and fits, stays connected and has better sound and is easier to use! I am very disappointed in the Jawbone, which I purchased after reading tons of reviews.

iZel (Grey & White) - The Adjustable Stand for Viewing of Your iPhone, Android, e-Reader and Other S

iZel - The Adjustable Stand for Viewing of Your iPhone, Android, e-Reader and Other Similar Devices
  • Supports a wide variety of the world's most popular devices.
  • Adjusts for viewing your device in portrait or landscape mode.
  • Positions your screen for the optimum viewing angle.
  • Unfolds easily for travel and weighs only 1.3 oz.
  • Proudly designed and manufactured 100% in the U.S.A.

I've read reviews that say the vertical stand position is useless, because the back of the stand is rounded. That is incorrect, the back of the stand has a detachable piece and if you detach it, then it works just fine in the vertical position and you can press on it firmly without any risk of it tipping over. This is a neat product and a great stand.

Buy iZel (Grey & White) - The Adjustable Stand for Viewing of Your iPhone, Android, e-Reader and Other S Now

I work at a desk. I have a bunch of monitors and other devices arrayed in front of me, but right in the middle, in the most valuable real estate between my keyboard and my primary monitor, is my mobile phone. It's even closer than my coffee cup. I spend a tremendous amount of time on the phone for work, and need to both view and poke at the touch screen regularly.

At the moment, I have the phone propped up against my KVM switch (a big, sedentary box that my monitor sits on). It used to slide down and fall flat on its back each time I'd touch it. So, I put a little piece of one of those rubber, mesh mats that goes under a rug on my desk to keep the phone from kicking out. Now it only falls down every other time I touch it. It's pretty clear that I need a stand to save both my sanity, and the phone from breaking.

After looking at numerous alternative, I came across the iZel and just knew it was perfect. It's small, adjustable, and can even fold flat so I can take it on the road when I travel to use as an alarm clock stand. It's exactly what I needed.

Unfortunately, I was wrong. The iZel is such a good idea, but it suffers from one, fatal flaw it tips over at the slightest touch. Now, to be fair, the iZel supports the phone in two positions horizontal, and vertical. In the horizontal position, it's pretty stable. Not great, but good enough. In the vertical position, however, it's literally useless.

I have an HTC Merge, and my wife has an iPhone 4 the latter of which is probably the most ubiquitous phone on the planet. Even if it doesn't work for my obscure, heavyweight beast, it should at least accommodate her popular, svelte device. In both cases, however, when cradling the phone in the vertical position, the phone and iZel tip over when you touch anywhere on the top 2/3 of the screen. This occurs for two reasons:

1. The top of the phone is cantilevered over the top of the iZel way too far

2. The third leg of the iZel tripod (back) is round yes, round

That back leg seems like it's purpose-built for tipping over. Take a look at the product photos, then imagine a phone that's twice as tall sitting upright in the iZel. Now picture touching the screen in the upper-right corner. TIP! Left side. TIP! Dead center. TEETER, TOTTER, TIP! The only place where you can safely touch the phone is along the bottom edge, where the 4 Android or 1 iPhone hardware buttons are. (Note that we were able to improve the stability slightly by prying the rounded foot out of the back of the iZel, but not enough to make it even remotely usable under normal circumstances.)

I'm really bummed about this. In the end, my wife decided to use the iZel in its horizontal configuration, as an alarm clock stand (she uses her iPhone as an alarm). Neither her iPhone nor my Android home screens rotate, but I guess it's probably OK, since she'll be lying horizontally in bed when the alarm rings.

Movaic, please make a new version of the iZel that 1) has a flat, wide base in the back for improved stability, 2), is taller, to better support vertical phones, and 3) is identical in every other way. You have a great concept, great materials, and great manufacturing. I'll buy another if you can make the iZel do what it's supposed to do.

BOTTOM LINE: Don't buy the iZel unless you plan to use it exclusively in horizontal mode but do keep your eye out for future Movaic products, as they seem to have some good, if immature (in a product lifecycle sense) ideas.

They have put a lot of thinking into this stand. It is well made (for what there is to it) and actually folds flat so it can be carried in a case or bag without taking up a ton of space.

I forget how the unit works but there is a piece on the back that can be taken out and turned around to give it more height, I think for a lower or higher viewing angle in landscape mode.

Want iZel (Grey & White) - The Adjustable Stand for Viewing of Your iPhone, Android, e-Reader and Other S Discount?

I like this stand. It is sturdy and has rubber or silicone edges so it doesn't scratch the desk or the phone. It also keeps the stand from scooting around the table top surface. The stand has several adjustible angles for easy viewing. I use the stand for a Samsung Galaxy S3 and it works fine. The horizontal setting is best for my phone. It allows me to use the touch screen without tipping the phone over. Although the stand will hold the phone vertically, it is less stable for using the touch screen. I'm going to order another stand for home use.

Samsill Microsoft 11-Inch Netbook Slipcase (Black) (39504)

Samsill Microsoft 11-Inch Netbook Slipcase
  • Microsoft 11" Netbook Slipcase is designed to protect your netbook in style
  • Featuring 1200D poly with accents of leather-look pvc and cobalt blue
  • Heavily padded top-load case is slim and compact

  • Features a quick-access front pocket with accessory panel, padded carrying handles, adjustable shoulder strap, and luggage slider.

Brought this for my son's laptop. One of the handle straps came off in less than three months of use. I would not recommend this product to anyone. The worst part is that if I want to return it I have to pay for the shipping charges. I as the customer should not be made to pay for manufacturing defects. I love Amazon and will continue to shop there but this product is the worst.

Buy Samsill Microsoft 11-Inch Netbook Slipcase (Black) (39504) Now

While the bag is called an "11-inch" netbook slipcase it is a very good fit for the 11.6" Samsung Princeton laptop and probably any other 11.6" laptop (i.e. it is similar in size to what some other vendors call a 12" case).

It comes with a fairly comfortable handle, a nice shoulder strap that cannot be removed, as well as a strap in the back to slide around the handle of a carry-on luggage.

The main pocket (for the laptop, closed by a pair of zippers) is padded on all sides including the bottom.

The front pocket (closed only by two magnets) is big enough for the power adapter, a laptop mouse and a couple of pens (and possibly a slim DVD reader).

Warranty is advertised as 5 year limited.

Toshiba MK3006GAL 30GB UDMA/66 4200RPM 2MB 1.8" Mini Hard Drive

Toshiba MK3006GAL 30GB UDMA/66 4200RPM 2MB 1.8' Mini Hard DriveA friend gave me a broken 4th generation ipod. I pulled out the old harddrive and put this one in instead: It's a thin, single platter model so it will fit in the same case as a 20 gigabyte model. Despite being produced later than the 4th generation ipod, it runs fine in it! A 5th generation ipod or later uses a different connection type, so be aware.

I got my iPod clickwheel (I think it's 2nd or 3rd generation) in 2005 and it is still going strong thanks to this hard drive. I could tell it was time to replace the hard drive because I kept getting the file folder icon or whatever it is and the thing wouldn't boot. I was also excited that I could upgrade from 20 GB of memory to 30 GB. Just find some instructions on the web for replacing the hard drive, then reinstall all the software from your computer and you're ready to go. Contrary to what they tell you at the Apple store, the cost of repairing an old iPod is NOT the same as the price of a new iPod.

This was a perfect, and economical, replacement for my 4th Gen iPod. The original was 20GB and this 30GB gave me just that extra bit of space. It was very easy to replace the drive. I now have this older iPod in my car all the time so I have all my music with me.

Want Toshiba MK3006GAL 30GB UDMA/66 4200RPM 2MB 1.8" Mini Hard Drive Discount?

All I can say is just "WOW" thank you for helping me finally replace my Hard drive on my 20GB 4th gen (Non photo) iPOD. Having washed the pod (don't ask, I'm STILL not too happy about that) and then having to wait about 2 years (at the time the cost of replacement parts was MORE then a new iPOD. I was able to actually get the old girl back up and running.

on a whim one day, I decided to see what the cost of parts for the 4th gen was. Having known that many MANY generations had followed, I thought it might not be THAT much and this iPOD hold a special place in my heart, as it was a present from my wife. After doing much searching and googling I found that not only could I replace the drive BUT I could go from a 20GB to a 30GB sized drive for 5.00 MORE. It was too good to pass up honestly and since it was less then 40.00 I decided to take the risk.

Shipping was great, very prompt and in no time I had the drive sitting on my desk. After gathering enough courage I was able to open the pod (and THAT was quite hard) and replace the drive. After ordering, I was a bit concerned that the new larger drive would not fit. However, reading the reviews, made me more comfy with the idea that the 20GB and 30GB used the same form factor 1.8 AND where both single platter.

Replacement went without a hitch, and after replacing the battery as well, I took the leap and plugged in the pod for power. Just like the first time, it started up and I realized that we where on a great path. It was pretty rewarding, and it has brought back a (to me at least) special item that I had missed for along time. SO, thank you for offering these devices as replacements.

Pros: Low price

Same form factor as original 1.8 drive

10GB more space then the original 20GB drive.

prompt shipping

cons: opening the iPOD case (trust me it IS somewhat unnerving at times)

Lack of tools to open case (not a real con, but be aware, that you WILL need some tools to open.
