HQRP Battery compatible with Sony Clie NR60 / NR60v , NR70V / NR70 PDA Replacement plus HQRP Univers

HQRP Battery compatible with Sony Clie NR60 / NR60v , NR70V / NR70 PDA Replacement plus HQRP Universal Screen Protector
  • HQRP® Battery plus HQRP® Universal Screen Protector;
  • Capacity: 1200 mAh, Voltage: 3.7V; CE and SGS-ISO-9001-2000 certified.
  • 100% compatible with Original Battery and Charger devices;
  • No Memory Effect, The battery can be recharged without loss of capacity;
  • 200 days warranty

It's great to be able to use my Sony Clie NR70 again for more than a few minutes between charges. The battery works great and was easy to install, if you have the correct size jeweler's Philips screwdriver. The screen protector was an added bonus! I didn't realize how bad my screen was until I updated it with the new protector. Fast shipping, too.

My schedule suddenly needed the organization a PDA or smart phone can give, but my income wasn't ready for the monthly bite of a phone. For under $10 (plus shipping), I'm able to organize my time again -without going broke from the phone fees!

Buy HQRP Battery compatible with Sony Clie NR60 / NR60v , NR70V / NR70 PDA Replacement plus HQRP Univers Now

My old Sony Clie NX-70/V has been my primary PIM device for 7 years now. In my opinion, it's just about the ideal form factor and extremely versatile. Besides the standard Palm PIM apps, it handles Office documents, ebooks, games, basic database and organizer functions, and, with an extra card, can access our home network and go online.

However, the battery life had gotten to the point that it couldn't be used for more than half an hour off the cradle. The replacement battery has saved the Clie.

Now, I can use the Clie for ebooks and appointment reminders for the entire weekend without a recharge. The *original* battery never lasted that long!

The screen protector is a wonderful bonus. I've been using it for over a month without a scratch. The only complaint is that it wasn't pre-sized to fit the Clie's screen, but once I got past that bit of rocket surgery, it's been fine. I plan to buy another because I managed to get some lint trapped under the protector when I tried to reposition it on the Clie.

Happy enough with this purchase that I bought a second battery/protector set for a second Clie that I'd quit using because the battery was basically dead. My wife uses that now for ebooks and as an electronic Bible. Great product and great price.

PDair Leather case for AT&T Samsung Captivate Galaxy S SGH-i897 - Horizontal Pouch Type (Black)

PDair Leather case for AT&T Samsung Captivate Galaxy S SGH-i897 - Horizontal Pouch TypeI had bought several cases that claimed to be made for the Captivate, but they were always loose. I believe that this is because the Captivate is so thin, and for the case to be used on other models, they make them loose inside the pouch. The problem with the generic cases, is that I cannot feel the phone vibrate. Consequently, many missed calls. With this PDAir pouch, since the phone is snug in the pouch, when the phone vibrates, it does a pretty good job transferring the vibrations to the body.

It may be a bit expensive, but for me well worth it!!

The build quality is nice and the stitching has held up well. It is made of real leather (you can still smell it after 6 months of use). The leather is soft. The steel clip is very strong!

Life-Phorm All-in-One Positioning Device for iPad 3, iPad 4, Tablets, Smartphones and Cameras (000LI

Life-Phorm All-in-One Positioning Device for iPad 3, iPad 4, Tablets, Smartphones and Cameras
  • Adjustable joint tension
  • Adjustable clamping system
  • Hooked ends
  • Multi-positioning legs
  • Rubber grips for comfort and stability

Life form idea is perfect it mimics the stability of a spider and adapts well to many surfaces. It fits nicely between the slide-out ashtray and the armrest of a Cad DeVille creating a continuous console and ergonomic space to use the i-pad. Do not buy it if you want to be inconspicuous, however. They all stare... On the other hand, it was very handy in bars and coffee shops to start acquaintances; people are curious.

One weakness is the ipad attachment bracket itself. It unfolds and forms a floppy, loosey-goosey bracket that you must squeeze to hold your tablet. Since there is no tensioning mechanism, the tablet is difficult to fixture tightly and works itself loose with handling. The device appears to be built well and has performed its first 1700 miles splendidly.

Ok, it is larger than I was expecting. However, it is really well built and supports the various items solidly. Very versatile. And, we can't ignore the fact that it will catch people's eye and start a conversation when they see it.

I hooked up my Ipad to this and followed the directions for setup to hang it on the edge of a cabinet, It kept trying to fall. It will not fit 7in tablets when placed sideways, so only works upright on 7in tablets. Hooks are no well enough to grab much. Using this on a Camera was also a surprise as the legs were not as sturdy when setting up like shown in the YouTube channel or advertizements. so far I can only get a 7in tablet to standup in the life phorm and actually not worry about it falling.

I got this little "thing" because I am a frequent traveler (both for work and pleasure). I was looking for something that I could use whether I was in an airplane, or a car, or a hotel. Found it to be very sturdy no matter where I was. I originally got it for my iPad, but have been using it with my camera too. (Canon DSLR). I'm planning a trip to Peru and now I think bringing this will be a must!

It took a little time to figure out some of the best ways to position the legs to get the angles I wanted, but the website helped.

Seiko Direct Thermal Portable Receipt PRINTER;203DPI;SERIAL 9-PIN;52 CPS,112MM P
  • Proven, reliable 4" portable direct thermal printer

Love it. We started with the DPU-411 in 1994, and moved up to the DPU414 in 1998. We still have 2 of the 411 in use. They are set for 80 characters and one stays with each machine to print our data. The setup is very easy and takes less than 2 minutes. One is serial and the rest are used as parallel. It's thermal so it fades over time but we can keep the printouts for 7 years. We recommend this printer to all our customers.

iPazzPort 2.4GHz Mini Wireless Fly Air Mouse Keyboard with IR Remote

iPazzPort 2.4GHz Mini Wireless Fly Air Mouse Keyboard with IR RemoteThis keyboard/mouse/remote is as near perfect (for the price) as possible in my opinion.

My setup in the living room is a large television and an HTPC running XBMC. I've used at least five other devices or combination of devices to control this setup and each of them had their advantages and disadvantages. This remote/keyboard is much better than all of the other options overall, and even in situations where it isn't the best option, the compromises it makes make sense.

The importance of the IR remote on the back can't be overstated. Even though the buttons are limited, each of them has two modes (TV and AV). This remote would not be adequate for anything more than turning the television on, changing the channel, adjusting the volume and changing the input.... But that's all I needed it for anyway. These simple buttons allow me to throw my Television IR remote in the drawer and only take it out when I need to access some special function, which is almost never. In AV mode I mapped the buttons to common functions of the XBMC program, but all of those functions are also accessible from the keyboard side so it's somewhat redundant.

The keyboard itself is a good compromise. Since there's no need for a touchpad, there is more room for keys, which makes finding the character you need easier. Almost all the keys are pretty much where they would be on a full size KB, and those that have been relocated make some sort of sense. There are page up and page down keys on the side of the device, which I haven't ever needed but they don't get in the way either. A possible improvement would have been to reverse the Function and F keys by default. I press play a lot more often than I press F6. The keyboard is lit (red/amber) from underneath (You can turn this on or off) and each key can be identified easily in the dark.

The air-mouse function was a surprise to me, I thought it would be, at best, a barely tolerable way to move the mouse when I needed to for some reason and I didn't want to go find my wireless mouse that is always where I didn't sit down. In fact it works really well and is without a doubt my favorite way of controlling the cursor short of a real wireless mouse (which, let's face it, can't be beat). It is surprisingly smooth. I turned the mouse sensitivity down a couple of notches in windows to allow for more accurate pointing. There are 2 ways of moving the cursor, both using the same air-mouse button either "Click cursor movement on Click cursor movement off" or a "Click and hold to move Release to stop". Both of these work well, but some situations demand one or the other, and it's nice that they are both always available. It just depends on how long you hold the button. Another great feature is the ability to rotate the air mouse so you can hold it like a remote if you want and the movements are natural, or rotate and hold the KB sideways and the mouse will work correctly in that orientation. Impressive. The only annoyance I have with the mouse functions are clicking the left and right mouse buttons themselves. You are usually using your thumb to hold the air mouse button, so you have to release that button to press either of the mouse buttons. If you are using the click-on-click-off method, clicking these buttons invariably moves the whole device just enough to take you off-target the millisecond you press the button. If you are using the click and hold to move method, Clicking and dragging becomes impossible with one hand and unnatural with 2. I wish there were mouse buttons on the side (Like the page up and page down buttons, but on the other side) or on the bottom so I could use them with my index and ring fingers as I held the air mouse button down. Maybe next model...

So almost all of that was good, here's some more good and bad things:

Good: Price, delivery, rechargeable, receiver stores inside, you can turn the IR side and the KB sides off separately.

Bad: Feels cheap, Instructions are sparse, poorly translated and in the case of the IR learning function, just plain wrong. IR transmitter isn't particularly impressive in range or strength. I wish the arrow keys rotated their orientation the way the air mouse does.

I've paid 3 times as much for products that did only half of what this one does and not as well. While not perfect, the price brings this up to 5 stars for me and I will never build a HTPC for a friend without insisting they get one of these.

This is my first product review on Amazon, because I just had to say how much I love this little gadget! It has turned four devices into one. I no longer need a separate mouse, keyboard, TV remote & DVD remote. In doing research, I quickly realized that it was down to 2 items. This one & similar devices which had a track pad instead of the air mouse. Realizing how many times I got frustrated over messed up typing on my laptop, due to accidentally touching the track pad, I did not want to repeat this headache. And forget the reviews that complain about a learning curve. If you can use a Wii or Kinect controller, you will master this thing in seconds. Indeed, the mouse buttons are backwards, but I imagine most people will use this with their right hand, therefore making the device actually easier to use. And I had no difficulty keeping the mouse pointer steady when clicking the mouse button.

I have only 3 very minor complaints. First, if the mouse pointer is inactive for awhile, then it goes to sleep/freezes, but a click of the middle mouse button quickly gets it going again. Second, the mouse pointer doesn't always stay aligned with this device. But I found a super easy way to deal with this is to just "bounce" the pointer against the TV screen edge & get it back to where you want it. And lastly, the user manual's broken English on how the device learns your TV/DVD remote's functions isn't that clear. Once you do understand, I found the way it does it is ingenious & intuitive & wished all universal remotes were this easy. All you basically have to do is:

1. On this device click on TV or AV (i.e. DVD player), then click the set button until the little light stays on.

2. Face the front of this device toward the face of your remote.

3. Click a function on this device (e.g. the volume up button), then click the equivalent button (the volume up button) on your remote long enough for the little light on this device to flash & wallah, it can now do that function.

4. There are about 8 basic functions you can set & after repeating the above step until you have copied all the functions you need, press this devices set button to complete the process.

I like how compact this device is. My coffee table is no longer littered with numerous big devices. True, just like on a smartphone, writing lengthy paragraphs are a pain. So I save the dissertations for my regular computer.

This little remote and the Amazon seller, "Key to Success" both deserve 5 stars. The remote arrived safely and promptly and I am impressed by the packaging and the quality of the remote itself. The included instructions took only a couple minutes to review and the step by steps actually had it tied to my computer in even less time. I thought there would be more to getting the "air mouse" working but once I plugged in the tiny wireless usb nub, the drivers self loaded, and bam, the cursor on the screen was being controlled by the remote.

Another reviewer mentioned the cursor jumping around so web buttons couldn't be clicked accurately. I noticed that too, however there's a huge button that will lock the cursor to the spot you want and then the left or right mouse buttons can be clicked. Simple!

I recently ordered a "mini" android pc (mk802) to turn our bedroom plasma tv into a cool computer-connected entertainment center. This remote with its back-lit keyboard, hand motion gyro sensor mouse, and additional learning IR remote (for turning the tv on and off) makes everything work together wonderfully.

And, yes, I am using it right now to type this review!

This little guy really crams a lot of functions into a package with the size and feel of a medium-sized remote control alone. The pictures didn't really do it justice. All the keyboard and mouse functions are on one side of the device, and the IR (infra-red) AV remote buttons are on the flip side. Training the IR commands is very intuitive and much simpler than other learning remotes I've owned (which often require complicated de-coding [un-learning] steps if you make a mistake or wish to change a function). This unit will simply overwrite a key's previous code which in my experience is far preferable to figuring out how to de-code what may have previously been programmed. Incidentally, because it is a learning remote, it can be trained to mimic most any IR remote control function. I've trained mine to mimic my WMC remote, a couple AVR functions, and even my retractable projection screen. Although it has only two modes (ostensibly TV and AVR), the buttons within each mode can learn commands from assorted remotes. You're not restricted to just two.

Tha air mouse takes a bit of getting used to (as does any HID format), but is remarkably precise. The greatest shortcoming is the inability to scroll or drag and drop. If I have a mouse-intensive task to do, I'll grab my optical mouse -but this is my HTPC, after all. I don't use it for CAD designing or word processing. And it sure is great having a virtually full (albeit, no number pad) ILLUMINATED keyboard in the palm of my hand, for typing in Google search words or song/video titles from my media library.

My only complaint is that it is very easy to miss in the microscopically small print of the manual the fact there are two on/off switches -one for the keyboard/mouse side, and another for the IR remote side. I nearly missed this and was about ready to send it back, when I realized the IR side didn't work because I hadn't turned it on. Incidentally, it is not necessary to turn these on and off all the time. I've used mine for over a month w/o turning it off and the battery still seems plenty strong on its initial charge. When necessary, it is rechargeable within a few hours according to the manual, via its USB cable plugged into your computer.

One other thing to watch out for, especially if you have a drink holder in each arm of your viewing chair. I seldom partake of more than one drink at a time, so I tend to use one holder for my drink and the other for the remote control. It's important to decide which will go where and then stick to it consistently. If you don't, you're bound to make the mistake I did. This diminutive remote will fit very nicely into a glass of Scotch. Consider yourself warned. (If it happens, don't let it marinate. Remove it immediately and take a quick gulp of Scotch to calm your nerves. The pat it dry and remove the battery. Let it air dry 24 hours before trying it again. If you're lucky, as I was, it will be none the worse for the dousing.)

Want iPazzPort 2.4GHz Mini Wireless Fly Air Mouse Keyboard with IR Remote Discount?

Buttons stopped working less than 2 months, there is not warranty on this unit, so if it dies you are screwed and no one to return to!!!

First Amazon refused to take it back, but because it was packaged and shipped by them, they finally agreed for full refund, I just wish they would tell customers that these units don't come with any kind of warranty.

If I have the receiver in the back of my HTPC the mouse cursor is jurky and keeps getting stuck from less than 10 feet away,

Very annoying that mouse buttons are backward!!!

Canon i80 Color Bubble Jet Printer

Canon i80 Color Bubble Jet Printer
  • Up to 4,800 x 1,200 dpi color, droplets as small as 2 picoliters
  • Direct photo printing from PictBridge-compatible cameras
  • True borderless photo printing in 3 sizes
  • USB 2.0, IrDA, and direct port interfaces; optional Bluetooth
  • 1-year warranty with Instant Exchange

I print on the go all the time, and sometimes, at conferences and events, it's been more than a lifesaver. Printing good photos on the go seemed a natural addition.

Problems with this printer include: need really good quality paper for decent prints (consistent with Canon printers in my experience); Canon's warranty is lousy (and they have screwed me before with products that broke a couple months after warranty expired); photo quality is less than a dedicated 6or 8-ink desktop printer; expensive inks.

Primary use: printing at conferences or other public events that keep you away from an office. Kinkos beware--this thing handles most of the jobs that I'd run to a business center to do while on the go. HOWEVER, without buying the extra battery, you're still on the prowl for the power outlets, along with everyone else in the room.

Secondary use: traveling, where snapshots of friends can be handed over while still on the go. I tend to travel light, so carrying a printer is a bit nuts, and the inks run out quickly, but sometimes there's no replacement for printing a photo of some new friend and giving them a copy while on the go.

Tertiary use: desktop printer. There's cheaper, faster, better alternatives for this use though--but it does fine as a backup (or when I want to print from a room without a printer without getting up).

Buy Canon i80 Color Bubble Jet Printer Now

I bought this to pack with my eMachines notebook because we take 40 guys to Myrtle Beach each October. I needed less hassle than carrying a bulky laser (I was using a Samsung ML1210), and something faster than an older inkjet. Do not compare speed to much older inkjets of 4 or 5 years ago -this seems faster than my Samsung laser for one-off output. The black text printing is very quick for an inkjet. Posting scores and Team sheets should go rather quick. I do not plan to do color photos because I have less-expensive options. Size is about 12" x 7" x 2" thick -perfect for packing away. Now I have EVERYTHING in one carry bag -nothing to think about or lose. It does grab several sheets at one time every once in awhile. I can live with it if it doesn't become persistent. I just purchased the LK-51 Battery Supply to be truly transportable -works 6 hours on one charge with the included Lith-Ion Battery. Printer needs USB Male A / Male B Cable -order online very inexpensively (don't buy at local stores -$22 or $30 is a rip-off for these; you can get them as cheap as $2 at CyberGuys.com).

The canon i80 is a good portable printer-not a replacement for a good workgroup printer or photo printer. I've had it for around 2 months now and put it through lots of use. In general, the quality is fairly good-monochrome printing is almost up to par with lasers. Color graphics are pretty decent-but remember that this is not a dedicated photo printer Speed is a bit slow-somewhat slower than advertised, but acceptable. It does tend to use lots of ink, and the ink cartridges are fairly expensive, though you do get 2 of them per pack. On the good side, the ink cartridges are easily refillable with any standard kit-but you will need to drill holes on the top after you peel back the label. It only holds around 20-30 sheets of paper and you'll need to fan through them before loading them in the sheet feeder or it will often pull in more than one sheet at a time. It seems pretty durable-I usually carry it with a laptop so it gets lots of travel and there are no alignment problems at all. My only real complaint is that I got it for its bluetooth capability. There is a dedicated bluetooth unit made for this printer, but it's not currently available from Canon or anywhere else I looked. I could get a universal, but that would defeat the purpose of having everything built in. If you're looking for portability, then this is the only way to go. Otherwise, you may be better off with a larger inkjet or a monochrome laser.

Want Canon i80 Color Bubble Jet Printer Discount?

I've owned several Canon portable printers in the past, including the Canon BJC-70, the BJC-80, and two Apple StyleWriter 2200's (BJC-70 bearing the Apple logo). I've also owned several portable printers made by other companies, none really as satisfying as the Canon printers.

I'm now using the Canon i80 (HP zd7000 & Windows XP). This printer clearly evolved from those earlier Canon printers, improving in some ways and not in others. On the positive side, print quality and speed is roughly on par with many desktop printers within this price range. Canon has also greatly reduced, and perhaps even elininated, the problem of the ink jets drying and clogging between print jobs (on earlier BJC models, the ink jets would dry out if the printer wasn't used for a week or so). And, unlike the i70, this printer comes with the multi-voltage power supply needed by international travelers.

Other things have not improved. Like those earlier printers, the i80 suffers from paper feed problems, ranging from paper not feeding at all (unless forced), to multiple sheets of paper feeding at the same time, to paper not feeding straight. Of course, this is more pronounced with very thin or very thick paper (thick envelopes are especially troublesome, often only solved by sharply creasing the envelope edges before using). All this is more of a nuisance than a serious problem, so should not automatically rule out this printer from purchase consideration. It doesn't happen all the time, or even most of the time, and can be reduced with experience.

The price continues to be high, especially with accessories often included with other portable printers (cables, battery attachments, batteries, and so on). If on-site portable printing is truly needed, requiring the purchase of accessories, I would have to recommend another printer with built-in battery. However, if one only needs to easily move a printer between hotel rooms, business meetings, or offices, the performance and convenience of the i80 wins out.

Some things are a mixed bag. The case design of the i80 has improved over earlier Canon models. The paper holder/cover now completely covers the printer, protecting it from dirt/dust or while packed in a bag. However, at the same time, Canon switched that case from a neutral near-black to an oddball copper/tan color which doesn't match any computer I've ever seen. Of course, this doesn't really affect performance, but it is distractingly noticable.

Finally, some things have gotten worse compared to earlier models. The i80 does not properly print some web pages in Internet Explorer without an external plug-in (Easy Web Print), which adds another IE toolbar complete with bright red Canon logo and buttons not matching other toolbar icons. Without this plug-in, the right side of some web pages are cut off. Canon either needs to reduce the intrusiveness of this plug-in or integrate this capability into the print driver as other companies do (the three other printers I now own handle these same web pages properly without a plug-in). Luckily, printing everything else with the i80 is entirely painless.

In conclusion, all portable printers are a compromise offering portable convenience with some inconveniences. The Canon i80 is no exception. However, the inconveniences associated with the i80 are minor, easily outstripped by overall convenience and performance. As such, I can comfortably recommend this printer to any fellow road warrier.

I used this in my apartment and bought the Bluetooth module to make it wireless. The printer managment tools only work when the cable is used and the cartridges go fast when printing pictures. Usinf this with my Laptop and Canon A80 camera..love it

rooCASE Neoprene Sleeve (Dark Blue) Carrying Case for Western Digital My Passport Essential SE 1TB P

rooCASE Neoprene Sleeve Carrying Case for Western Digital My Passport Essential SE 1TB Portable Hard Drive WDBACX0010BRD Metallic RedPurchased two of these, black color for me, blue color for gift..

Recipient was impressed with the quality of the case, pocket features, good protection. To get that kind of feedback was surprising, and speaks well of the rooCASE!

I won't trade mine for the world, very happy to have selected this from list of others considered.

Very pleased with the quality, form, function. Will be comfortable purchasing other rooCASE items.

Colour is strong, as in the picture and seems good quality stitching, but the case is way too big for the 1TB HD. The HD slips around in there and in my opinion is not protected. Should not be sold as a product specific to this item.

Neoprene is relatively thin but i guess it will protect better than other material. I've had neoprene casing for laptop and ipod and both were much better quality.

Would return this item if I hadnt opened it before receiving the HD (which was late delivery due to Thailand floods)

I just bought this case for my new Western Digital My Passport 1TB drive (both the drive and case are blue, and match perfectly). This is a great case, the neoprene seems sturdy, I trust that it would protect my drive should it be dropped etc, though I haven't put that to the test yet! The USB cable fits nicely in the outer pocket which zips closed. The main pocket is a little roomy for my drive, but i think it will still do a great job protecting it, and it fits snug enough when the cable is also packed in the outer pocket. Zip closures are quality. I would definitely recommend this product!

I have used friends and when you tilt them to draw they seem like they'll scrape up your screen. This one has a head that tilts without the scraping and doesn't wear out so quickly. Love it!

IRISPen Express

IRISPen Express
  • Recognizes up to 3.15 inches per second and 1,000 characters per second
  • Recognizes up to 55 different languages
  • 7 User Interface languages ¿ English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian, German and Dutch
  • Reads text and numbers, including text on colored backgrounds
  • Powered by the USB port so there is no need for an external power supply

after about 1.5 hours of practice and recalibrating over and over again, this is what the first few lines scanned from the irispen manual look like:

'he IRISPen may be the biggest sensation in computeriand since the mouse \ As efficient as computers are, you have to encode your data first. If you've ever If y-u'veever rekeyed text, you kn(ng and time-consuming it can be.... The IRISPen, a unique product for every computer user, offers instantaneous vaI at your fingertips. (JP to a 100 characters can be entered per second. Cut from paper, paste to Windows-: can you imagine a simpler way of entering text?

Is it worth it? Spell check couldn't even fix this disaster. I am a very computer saavy person, I don't think I am using it wrong, I think they just really haven't perfected the text recognition software. The one review above must be an irispen employee. I find it hard to believe right out of the box, that it worked perfectly...and then to encourage you to upgrade??? Laughable. You will spend more time fixing the scanning errors than if you just typed it yourself. Going back to amazon tomorrow!

This worked once and then stopped calibrating, so it no longer functions. Iris claims to have customer support, but there is none. I have been calling and emailing them once a week for three months. I got one reply a month ago promising to replace it. I never got it. Their web site has little to no useful help. Iris ranks as the worse company I have ever dealt with. Pity anyone who gets a faulty pen! What a waste of money! I hate feeling ripped off!

As a scholar who deals with a lot of rare material, I thought this pen would be a god-send in helping me transcribe material to my computer. The manufacturer boasts near-100% accuracy. I give it 40% at best. Sometimes, if you have a white piece of paper, clear, 12-point text, you can get 80% accuracy, but this is a rare occurrence.

I ended up spending more time "correcting" the text from the Iris Pen than I would have typing it out...so now my $70 "tool" sits unused on my desk.

I can't wait for the day that an actual pen-scanner works, but today is not that day.

This entire opinion is entered directly into the amazon review page with the IRISPen using a hard copy of a file I printed with my inkjet printer, very typical, 12-pt, Times font.

I took the pen out of its box and read the directions very carefully. As usual, the Mac I took the pen out of its box and read the directions very caretuuy. Be sure to click the desktop image to bring up a fresh window with the IrisPen.

I read the bad reviews here, but I really need what IRISPen is supposed to do. I took the plunge and ordered it, bracing myself for the worst.

Calibration was a breeze; you just touch the pen to a sample of white paper. Then, without reading into the manual, I drew the pen over a sentence In an open book. Flawless! I went on to do the entire page, speeding up until I was going full speed, over one line per second, as fast as I could go and keep the pen on eourse. Three errors in about 600 words; a missed period and two "a's" seen as "11."

This item greatly helps my editorial work. No longer do I have to destroy books to get a few pages onto my flatbed scanner, nor do I have to re-type long passages of text from bound sources. The pen doesn't care about the font of the original, and you can select any font and size you want to be sent to the target program.

My opinion is that some people are naturally klutzy and may have difficulties getting the feel of this unusual tool. There is a certain slant and technique that came naturally to me, but might be awkward to someone who can't dance or throw baskets. There is a If you keep your eye on the arrow, allowing the line of text to become a passing blur as you drag the pen, it all works out very well. A little practice might help, although I needed none at all.

I highly recommend this item without reservations to any Mac user. It works better than advertised, taking into account I haven't even cracked the instruction manual yet. The PC instructions seemed quite geeky and were considerably longer than the Mac instructions, but I imagine those still confined to the tiny PC universe can probably do fine with IRISPen if they pay very close attention to the instruction manual.

I have read the reviews here and elsewhere about this product before I bought it. But I was in the need of something for quick little jobs more convenient than my flatbed scanner and faster than my typing and gave it a try. No regrets at all.

I do a lot of research with quoting of one or two paragraphs out of books or papers, mainly in German language. The IrisPen works very well for me in English, in French and in German (no problem with the umlauts etc.; I have not tried other languages).

One thing is important: you have to calibrate the pen very carefully like any instrument that needs calibration. Calibrate it with a WHITE sheet of printer paper, not with a slightly off-white like a book page or similar.

And you have to practice a bit how you hold it to get the hang of it. When scanning you should see the green light ALL the time, it should not flicker. It is named "pen" but you manoeuvre it different than a writing pen. If you keep that in mind you will be successful!

My IrisPen sits just behind my keyboard, as easily to grab as my mouse and I love it as a big time saver.

It has a leather-like feel once you put the vinyl on it, I highly recommend it if you like dragons, and ying-yang symbols.

This is a cool skin for customizing your PS3 Slim. It's quite thick and a feel of leathery at the sticker. It fits on the PS3 Slim nicely and removes nicely and it also comes with stickers for my controllers. Very nice product and recommended for the PS3 owner.

PS: the delivery is quite fast...

GreatShield Chalkee Kids Stylus for Kindle Fire (all models), Blue

GreatShield Chalkee Kids Stylus for Kindle Fire, BlueI bought the Chalkee Stylus in pink, so this review for blue doesn't show that my Purchase is Verified by Amazon. You can look at my review for GreatShield Chalkee Kids Stylus for Kindle Fire (all models), Pink to see that I did purchase it.

The Chalkee Stylus is for adults too. I am an adult with hand problems.

I can rarely hold anything in a "pencil-grip" with the pencil, pen, crayon, or stylus going between my fingers. I can easily use the Chalkee while holding it in a "stabbing" grip such as a young child would use for coloring with a crayon (especially on walls!).

I can't grip anything tightly, yet the Chalkee works well for me in a loose grip.

In My Artwork

For any stylus currently on the market, the way to draw fine lines is to use a drawing app. I use the Chalkee Stylus with an app called "Paint Joy" by Bejoy Mobile Paint Joy Movie Your Drawing

"Paint Joy is free (as of February 2013). You can use it on Kindle Fire and on other Android devices.

Go to the Amazon Store called Apps for Android in order to see other apps for drawing, some free. Personally, I like Paint Joy the best. I am able to choose from a wide selection of lines and then tailor the thickness and how opaque the line will be from the software. Remember, no matter which stylus you use, you are going to get the same line you choose. When the software is controlling the thickness of the line, the Chalkee performs fine.

While Playing Games

With the Chalkee stylus, I play games on my Kindle Fire and on my NOOK Tablet: Match 3 games such as Treasures of Montezuma 2 Lite by Big Fish Games; card games such as Hearts and Solitaire; and Memory/Concentration games.

I'm not very interested in Angry Birds, but I can easily play it with the Chalkee stylus.

Many Hidden Object games and many Mahjong games are not well-suited to Tablets due to the small screen and due to the software of games not offering the selection of line thickness that Paint Joy does for my artwork.

My Confession: Please don't give in to temptation the way that I sometimes do and stay too long at the fair, so to speak.

Take frequent breaks from using any tapping, swiping, or other motions with your hands whether with a stylus or with your fingers and thumbs. Even perfect hands, even very young hands can ache, hurt sharply the way a nerve hurts, swell, become stiff by staying too long at the tablet (or cellphone or ereader or other device) without frequent breaks.

PRICE: I've had my Chalkee Stylus for several months, using it many hours during a week, including to turn pages in ebooks I'm reading.

I have accidentally dropped it from a height of 4 feet or more on to carpet and tile about once a week. I have dropped it out of my car on to a parking lot a few times. I have dropped it on to tables and desks and counters.

Not a scratch or dent, no damage to the tip either.

IF I hadn't needed the extra size and lightness of the Chalkee, then I would have bought any old inexpensive stylus and held it in a pencil-grip and saved some money for other things. But I am just thankful that the Chalkee stylus is available and doesn't cost more. I consider any purchase over USD$20 as "Would I rather have pizza delivered?" As much as I love pizza deliveries, I will give up however many I need to when it comes time to buy another Chalkee stylus.

BoxWave Capacitive LG Optimus V VM670 Stylus (Metallic Silver)

BoxWave Capacitive LG Optimus V VM670 Stylus
  • Works on all capacitive touch screens
  • Conveniently designed in pen form, perfect for carrying around
  • Durable construction
  • Perfect for cold days when you don't want to remove your gloves
  • Available in Jet Black, Metallic Silver, Crimson Red, Lunar Blue, or Bold Orange color

Not being a text-er, I was worried when told I needed to type in people's credit card numbers on my phone. Sure enough the typing was taking waaaay too much time to do so correctly for a time based delivery job. When I mentioned that I needed a stylus, my boss showed me how the phone could be turned sideways to make the keys bigger, but this still was not working well enough for me. Once this stylus arrived in the mail I had no problem hitting the correct icon or key. I also like the little chord and knob at end of stylus that attaches to the phone so it is not lost. I so need that! And the silver color is easier to find in my purse than something dark. Definitely worth the money spent.

rooCASE Super Bubble Neoprene Sleeve Case Cover for Dell 11.6-Inch Inspiron M101z Netbook (Black / P

rooCASE Super Bubble Neoprene Sleeve Case Cover for Dell 11.6-Inch Inspiron M101z NetbookWhen I bought this item I wasn't sure about it. I couldn't tell much from the picture. But when I received it I simply loved it! My netbook fits in it perfectly, and the inside part is really protective! It's no bulky, which makes it very easy to carry around. The only downsize is that it takes time for you to be able to put the cord inside the external pocket because it's not big enough. However, if you are looking primarily into something as small as it can be to protect your computer, this case will do an awesome job. I'm happy with it!

Ziplinq ZIP-DATA-P14 Retractable Palm Tungsten E/Zire 31 72 Charge and Synch Cable (36 Inch, Black)

Ziplinq ZIP-DATA-P14 Retractable Palm Tungsten E/Zire 31 72 Charge and Synch Cable

  • Easily extends to over 30" by pulling both ends. Simply pull again and it quickly retracts back into its housing
  • Connect your computer to your Axim X3/X3i to sync your data, download contacts, etc. All without carrying your bulky cradle.

After Sewell Direct sent me the wrong product, they got it right the 2nd time and the turnaround was quick. It's exactly as described, but unfortunately I appeared to have received a dud; it was DOA. I'm contacting them again to see what I can do about getting a replacement. The reason I want this so badly is because in the past I had one of these and LOVED it because not only did it sync and charge my Tunsten E, but it was also a 2-for-1 system to charge both my cell phone and my Garmin Forerunner 201 via USB when traveling.
