PalmOne Portable Keyboard for Palm III and VII
- Portable foldout keyboard for Palm III series and Palm VII handhelds
- Small form factor and lightweight
- Full-size keys for true touch-typing
- Integrated docking station
- No batteries required
The new Palm Portable Keyboard is a FULL SIZE keyboard that folds so small and compact that it drops easily into a jacket pocket, a purse, or a briefcase. It has a FULL SIZE look and feel, with a full 3 mm travel.
When I go to a meeting, I can unobtrusively take notes by dropping my Palm III into the docking connector on the Palm Portable Keyboard. When I get back home (or to the office) and synchronize (HotSynch) my Palm with Microsoft Outlook on my PC, all my notes are just a point and click away from my word processor.
Now, if Think Outside (the designers and manufacturers of the Portable Keyboard) can get enough software companies to work with them to include tighter integration to the fantastic potential that Palm computing offers when linked with the additional power and flexibility that the Palm Portable Keyboard adds ...
One more item that i would like to see Think Outside add to their wish list: please put a serial connection on the keyboard so that we can:
1) Connect to a modem while doing email using the keyboard; 2) HotSynch from the keyboard docking connector a nice capability so you can travel with the keyboard and leave the standard docking station at home.
Maybe this serial connector can be implemented as a choice of connectors that plug into the keyboard (to the right of the docking connector) and provide a selection, including: RS-232 DTE or DCE/ 9 pin or 25 pin; USB; 10-BaseT; etc.

I love my old Palm III. It is reliable, it syncs well with Outlook 2000 now that I've picked up PocketMirror, and the amoritized cost is now down to pennies a day. But after years of use, I still hate that stupid little stylus. My "graffiti" technique never got better than about 90% accuracy, I can never remember how to punctuate, and don't get me started on the little touchpad keyboards. So the Palm III keyboard is a godsend. First off, its very cool. The key action is very good--soft and accurate. I'm still fiddling with the delay settings, as the delay is a bit too slow for my tastes. They keys are also a little too noisy for use in a meeting. On the plus side, typing notes into the Palm is now a breeze. Better still: the keyboard is collapsible, so its folds into a small rectangle not much bigger than a Palm, but is very nearly full sized when unfolded. When unfolded and locked, it is pretty stable (although I agree with those who say you can't really use it on your lap). It looks great. What more can you ask?I recently took my Palm III and keyboard to a conference. Everybody else was lugging around laptops. I just unfolded my keyboard, snapped on my Palm and rocked. All my Dilbertesque buddies were very jealous. (Palm probably owes me hundreds in finders fees.) The only problem: Carrying my Palm, the keyboard, and my cell phone is a lot of juggling. I need a small case that carries all three. Anybody know one?

I waited over four months to get this hot, back-ordered item, excited about the reviews it received and looking forward to taking notes on my Palm III. During the wait, my boss let me borrow his LandWare GoType keyboard, and I began to get used to its small size and usefulness. Finally, my Palm Portable Keyboard arrived in the mail and I opened it, marvelling at its sleek design and extreme portability. I installed the driver, unfolded the keyboard and started typing.
The first thing I immediately noticed was that, once unfolded, you can't put this keyboard on your lap; it's just not rigid enough. A bit of an inconvenience (the GoType is sturdy enough to do this), but I figured I'd just use a hard surface when I need to type.
The next thing I noticed was that after installing the keyboard driver, suddenly my entire Palm OS had slowed down to a crawl. I visited Palm's website and sure enough, they said this was a problem with the driver. They had a beta driver that I installed to fix the problem.
But then the biggest problem was obvious: The Palm Portable Keyboard can't catch up with your typing. I type pretty fast (40-60 WPM) and it was painful to watch the Palm lagging a few seconds behind me after I finished a line of text. In comparison, the LandWare GoType enters text instantaneously. As a technical writer, I can't afford to have people slow down during meetings while my keyboard catches up.
I called Palm support on this and they said they were aware of the problem, and would likely release a driver to fix the slowdowns eventually. I've waited long enough, Palm Inc. I'm going out and buying a GoType instead.
To Sum up: If you like nifty technology, need extreme portability, and don't type very fast, the Palm Portable Keyboard is worth getting. If you need a reliable product that is sturdy and useful, get the LandWare GoType instead.

The inventor's of the Palm Portable Keyboard have have developed an incredible accessory to the Palm PDA Platform. You have got to see it and try it out to appreciate its marvel. It literally is a full size keyboard that folds up and is only slightly larger then the Palm PDA itself. It even comes in a nice carrying case. Inputing information into your Palm is a snap and I really appreciate not having to write, using the grafiti tool to add information into my Palm. If you use the Memo feature on your palm to jot down some notes, type a lengthy memo, etc., this this keyboard is for you. Typing is a breeze and feels very natural as if you were typing at your PC. There are specific keys on the board that replace the need to tap on a menu item to be called up. I cannot emphasize the portability and light weight of the keyboard and the uniqueness of how it folds up into compact size. If you are a regular user of your Palm PDA then this keyboard is a must. You will not regret spending the extra bucks in lieu of convenience.I've had the Palm Portable Keyboard for not quite 24 hours. It's great for text writing, entering data in Quicksheet, and using shortcuts and function keys. Well made--it does wow my tech friends. Some problems mentioned by others... * The need for a solid, flat surface instead of your knees. I've cut out a piece of masonite to rest the keyboard while in my car. Works fine. Since it doesn't weigh much, I can even slip the board into a tote bag or set it on top of a soft sided briefcase. If the features of the Palm Portable are the ones you want, this is a work around. * Slow response to key input. I noticed that but there is a buffer which catches up when I stop to think. That's not a bad habit for my type of writing.
A problem not yet mentioned by others... * Need to increase the P3 memory from 2 to 8. Maybe it's the SmartDoc text editor I'm using or maybe I'm just writing more that I did before, but I can see a memory problem coming fast.

I called VuPoint's customer service but the woman I spoke to was more interested in chewing gum than offering any helpful answers or suggestions. She told me just to return it, which I did. I had no issues with the return and this review is on only my experience with the product itself.
I'm half tempted to get another one just to see if it does the same thing and if I ended up with a defective item but I'd rather try to find one in person to test out before ordering online again.I am thankful for a scanner that is easy to take with me on the road. It only works on level surfaces so I can't scan pages in a book or anything like that. But for what I need, scanning receipts and documents, this is great. I was very pleased with how easy it is to use. Make sure you buy a mini SD card to go with it so you don't have to come up with one after it arrives!I was very excited to purchase this product. Basically, it does what it's supposed to do. However, I had to return the product for a refund because the device does not let you save your preferred settings after power-off. It returns to the factory default settings each time. I confirmed this limitation with the manufacturer before I returned it. I don't understand why it would let you "save" preferred settings which are only "saved" while the device is on. I could understand if the saved settings would be lost when the battery dies or is revoved. But I don't understand why they are lost at power-off. For example, if you set the scanner to auto time-out after 3 minutes of non use, you have to reset your prefernces when you turn it on again. Or make no changes and just scan using the default settings--which are fine for most applications. Most users wouldn't find this to be a problem. It just happend to be a "deal breaker" for me.This was my only complaint. Otherwise, the unit functioned flawlessly. Hence the 3 star rating. It is fantastic scanner, so fast (2-3 sec. per page), good resolution and result of scanning.
The only one comment is the minimum resolution is 300, to create pdf; it is big file size or reduce the image size by other software.
Fine Reader is version 8 (last one now is 11)
But at the end; it is very good item deserve the money...

Corsair Dominator 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3 2133 MHz (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory (CMT16GX3M4X2133C9)
- Density: 16GB (4x4GB Module)
- Speed: 2133MHz
- Timing: 9-11-10-27
- Type: DDR3
- XMP: version 1.3
- Format: DIMM
- Pin Out: 240 Pin
- Voltage: 1.5V
EVGA X58 Classified 3XSLI motherboard (Model E760) BIOS 83
Intel Core i7 980X CPU @ 4.2Ghz
12GB Corsair DDR3 2133Mhz 9-11-10-27 @ 1T Command Rate @ 1.5V O.o
3 x EVGA GTX580 SC cards in 3-way SLI
4 x OCZ Vertex 2 240GB SSDs in RAID 0
Silverstone ST1500 1500 Watt power supply
The pros and cons of this product are as follows:
Pros
1) Operates at low latencies which is just incredible given the speed and amount of memory on each stick. The memory operators nominally at 9-11-10-27 @ 1T Command Rate...YES, that's 1T Command Rate which is not listed in the specifications (in my case, only 12GB since the X58 chipset on my motherboard only supports a tri-channel memory setup; the fourth stick is in my computer drawer for now until I upgrade to Intel's Ivy Bridge CPU in April!)
2) Operates at an incredibly low 1.5V (my old Corsair 6GB 2000Mhz DDR3 kit operated at 1.65V)
3) Operates just fine in dual, triple, and quad-channel memory configurations!
Cons
1) Cost yes, other companies also have 2133Mhz DDR3 12GB and 16GB kits, but nothing compares to Corsairs product quality, warranties and customer support!
2) Kit does not include the Airflow Pro LED Indicator ($55 sold separately, and yes Amazon sells it) luckily I already had one that I bought for my previous Corsair Dominator GT memory kit
3) Not much room left to overclock beyond 2133Mhz, but that's to be expected given the low latencies of the memory
Do yourself a favor and get yourself a set of this memory you won't be disappointed!
Buy Corsair Dominator 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3 2133 MHz (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory (CMT16GX3M4X2133C9) Now
Even though this memory is rated at 2133 MHz, I think I've been told that when a Sandy Bridge processor is highly overclocked you can't expect the cpu's IMC to handle speeds as high as 2133 MHz. So right now I'm running 16 Gig, 4x4 at 1866 MHz. I have to use quite a bit more voltage than Corsair states (1.63v) to run at 1866 MHz and 1T, but so far it's performing well. One important thing for those trying to achive good speeds... you have to increase VCCIO (VTT) to run 4 sticks at 1866 MHz. When I run just two sticks, the default voltage of 1.1v is fine. But to get 4 sticks to run I had to up it to 1.12v to get it stable.Overall, I LOVE Corsair. They are a fantastic company with some of the most knowledgable tech support I've ever had the privilege to speak with.God bless quad channel 2133mhz RAM! Wow! Fast, blazing, whatever you want to call it, it's awesome! My Motherboard (Asus P9X79) only takes 1800mhz natively (awwh) and I won't overclock, so not even experiencing it's full potential!! Steps down beautifully, still sizzles. Great heat dissipation as always. Corsair products are well designed. Worth every penny!I recently built a high-end Home Theater PC (HTPC) and wanted 16GB of the fastest memory I could find. The Asus motherboard I used had lots of room to tweak and overclock every component, and I wanted something that would ultimately give me great performance without pushing it so far as to cause heat and stability issues. The Corsair memory seemed like a good place to start.
Out of the box, these give the impression of being very high quality. The connectors seem topnotch, and the casing, heat fins and so forth are definitely about the best machined parts I've ever seen for this type of product. Certainly, it dresses up any motherboard.
Unfortunately, I forgot to measure how much space I had from the bottom of my motherboard memory slots to the top of my case, and in my particular situation, I just couldn't make the Corsair fit. The rather large on-board heat sinks are just too tall to fit a low-profile HTPC case. Still, I was anxious to get this system running, so I installed the Corsiar anyway and ran the PC without the top of the case on for several days.
I was quite impressed with overall performance. For some reason, my Asus motherboard detected these puppies as 1333Mhz memory (and even at that speed, they performed well), but once I adjusted to rated speeds and timings (2133), it really picked up. By trial and error, I was able to tweak the voltages and timings a few percent further, but clearly these guys are running fast enough there isn't enough headroom to take it much further.
According to most of the memory benchmarks, this is the fastest memory I've ever had. If you're looking for serious maximum performance, you should definitely give these guys a try.
My only gripe is the heat sinks, which seem a bit overkill for the product. Even pushed to the limit, the Corsair never really got too hot, seldom exceeding 40 degrees (C) and keep in mind, that's in a fanless HTPC case. I'd love to see a clean way to remove the heat sinks...I would have definitely kept these in my HTPC.
Then, there's the price. While I commend Corsair for offering a high-performance and well-built product, it's triple the price of memory a tier down in performance. The fastest compromise I could fit in my case ended up being Kingston Genesis, about $79 here at Amazon. No doubt the Corsair is faster, but for the price difference, I could have easily gone to 32GB or maybe even 64GB. From an overall system performance perspective, 64GB of moderately fast memory might be a lot better than 16GB of blazing speed memory.
To be clear, these are all minor complaints, and my overall impression of Corsair's product is definitely favorable. In fact, although it didn't fit my HTPC, I *did* keep rather than return it, so it will definitely find a home in a different system of mine.Running this on an ASUS P8H77-V LE and it runs all 16GB just great. It defaulted to 1333MHz and using the BIOS tweeks I wasn't able to bump it all the way to 2133MHz, but I think that's probably to be expected with all four RAM slots being utilized. It's running stable at 1600MHZ and I'm fine with that. I doubt I would notice the difference. Since I'm not really interested in overclocking as much as having a stable system with lots of RAM to run 64 bit operating systems, this RAM does the job perfectly.

i'm new to gaming on pc. and this recommend to me by a gaming group. it has maxed out the games i have tried so far with no problemgames i tried
( half life series, battlefield 2 bad company, team fortress, crysis demo, WoW, orange box )Personally Visiontek is the most reliable gpu company to buy graphics cards from from my experience. I love the fact that I get a lifetime warranty (big kudos for resale value incase I have to upgrade many years from now). The graphics cards in general is reasonablly big for the performance its brings. At the price im getting, im able to play Battlefield Bad company 2 on Max settings, Red Orchestra 2 Beta on Max (Ultra on their options), and it benchmarks are indeed "leet" (How these newer generations say it now a days) at factory non-clocked settings (what more if its oc'd). I totally recommend this gpu for those who wants a bang for their buck.
Want VisionTek AMD Radeon HD 6870 1 GB GDDR5 PCI Express HD Video Graphics Card (900338) Discount?
Overall, very satisfied with this card. The Pros:
1. I'm now running circles around Unreal Tournament 3, Left4Dead 2, and Modern Warfare, which brings a big smile to my face. The real test will come later this year when I throw Deus Ex: Human Revolution at it (but I'm expecting it to perform admirably).
2. The VisionTek lifetime part warranty is outstanding.
3. Really like that the power connectors are on the top of the card, not the rear, which makes it much more accessible (though it may have been due to size constraints more than accessibility =) ).
4. I was pleasantly surprised at the visual styling of the card I received. It used a very cool red/black "racing stripe" motif, with rounded bevel edges for the heatsink/fan enclosure that was much, much sharper-looking than the image displayed on Amazon. I'd have no qualms displaying this puppy in a clear-panel case enclosure.
Other notes:
Be aware that if you're not running a quad-core CPU, you're really leaving a lot of this card's performance on the table.
The only cons I would give it are:
1. I'm getting some strange artifacting around the mouse cursor on dark-shaded backgrounds in Windows 7 64-bit. I don't know if it's an AMD driver issue or what, but it's mildly distracting.
2. This card is BIG. I think the total weight of my computer just doubled (exaggerating slightly, of course), but that's the price you pay for outstanding performance like this.
As I said though, overall very happy with the purchase. The 6870 is a powerful chip. The product that saw on amazon and and what I received(although having same model number) are totally different in the following: 1) The card I got is totally different in design, logic will tell you one of the cards is an older model. 2) I checked on VisionTech web site and the model on amazons site matches, hence you hoodwinked me by giving me an older model (as visiontech's site would have the latest model ) . 3) The picture of the box on amazon states the card has a lifetime warranty ( the main reason I chose the card) the box that I got for the card states nothing but model number on a sticker label. 4) Checked newegg, the design I got and what they desplayed are the same, ( AT LEAST THE ARE HONEST WITH THEIR CLIENTS) and it seems this card does not have a lifetime warranty. I HAVE BEEN DUPED AND DEMAND TO HAVE THIS SITUATION RECTIFIED.

This item is merely ok! It slips on the back of the iPad, however after some use, you will notice that it slips off really easily. Because it only is on by a few corners and sides due to the iPad cover and magnet covering one side, it is held on on limited surfaces. The cover doesn't stay on, the edges and sides come off easily especially when you stick it in your bag or briefcase, when you pull it out, chances are the cover has come off altogether or at least part of it is. I have since removed it and thrown it out!Want For iPad 2 Slim Case Work with Apple Smart Cover White Discount?

Navitech Black Executive Premium Leather Flip Carry Case With Adjustable Stand For The HTC Jetstream
- The leather cover adds style, personalization and protects your HTC from bumps, scratches, and falls
- Magnetic flap closure for a clean sealed cover & easy access and removability of your HTC
- Full access to all functions & charging while cased including access to screen functions
- Includes stand for perfect viewing and can be placed comfortably for gaming , reading or typing on the go.
To cut to the chase, this is a very good folding case for my tablet. It protects it well enough, has cut-outs for all the buttons and speakers, and even folds to be a stand. The stand can be set two waysone at a steeper incline for viewing media and such, and a more shallow setting for typing e-mails, messages, blogs, et cetera. The part that folds over the screen has magnets to keep it in place when you are finished using your tablet. I am actually extremely pleased with this case. There is no place to store a stylus, however, but I do not have a stylus, so I haven't had a problem. But that may be the only criticism one might have for this case.
Wrapping it up now; this case is protective, durable, easy to clean (my cat threw up on itmy tablet was protected!), does not get in the way of using your tablet, andmost importantlyit is stylish. Honestly, I believe this looks like a $50 case. I recommend this product! If you have an HTC Jetstream tablet or know of somebody who does, $5.00 is a ridiculously cheap price for this incredible case. I suggest you take advantage of this superior deal and pick one up now.Well pleased with this item. Not much out there to fit the HTC Jetstream so was a little worried about how good it would be, but its extremley durable and well built. Just wish it had a place for the scribe pen.i still cant believe this, this is a perfect fit for HTC jetstream. i saw the similar product in eBay for $20 and when i see the price here in amazon i thought some thing is wrong. thanks to 2 day shipping by amazon, i got this delivered in less than 48 hours and it was a perfect fit and quality is very good.

JustCase Slim iPhone 4 4S Case - Retail Packaging, 2 Screen Protectors, Matching iPad Smart Cover Co
Pros:
1. Although it is a slim case, the build is very sturdy and not flimsy at all;
2. The surface is smooth but not slippery;
3. Left side opening is wide enough for both 4s and 4 (including GSM and CDMA versions);
4. Snap on the iPhone closely and leaves no gap.
5. Great service: contacted the seller because the first one I got has a minor defect, received the second one a few days later which is of a new version with free screen protectors and perfect.
Cons:
None I can think of.
Love the case and highly recommended! This case is just a piece of plastic that does not protect too much, only the back of the phone.
The front is lower than the screen protector, which you can feel the edges when touching the phone. In another words, does not overlap the edges of the clear sticker that protects the screen.
I don't recommend it. Get the speck or if you want the better protection without caring about bulkiness, get the otter case.
The company stands behind its product and after I bought this one they contacted me to make sure I was happy and offer to exchange the product or refund. Before I purchased this product I would have wanted to know that the TURQUOISE BLUE case was actually just a plain blue case and did not match the color represented on the swatch. This case will not stay on my iPhone. Before this, I used an Incase Snap Case, which fit perfectly and never let go of the iPhone. This case feels more like a malleable sleeve rather than a hard plastic case. It looks good, but there's no satisfying snap when you fit it to the phone, and if you lay it face down and press in the middle of the case, the phone starts falling out and easily hits the table (if you're looking for a case that protects the front and back).
I upped my review one star as Justcase's support has been pretty great. They sent me an updated version that fits the iPhone 4s better, but still doesn't protect the screen in any way. Granted the new version includes a couple screen protectors, but I much prefer the lip that extends slightly above the screen placing a screen protector across the entire screen (personal preference)The Green version looks great on the white iPhone 4S and fits perfectly. I would have liked for the case to create a small lip around the front of the phone so that the screen wouldn't touch when placed or dropped face down. I guess the screen protectors will help some.
Still satisfied with the case, and my wife loves the color.

I bought this as a replacement to a previous stylus I had lost. I really like this one better because it uses the earplug piece as a holder. The rubber tip works very well as a fingertip and I would recommend this to anyone looking for an affordable stylus that works!I have used stylus for resistive touch screens for years, but this is my first for a capacitive screen. The Rook stylus is a great product. A little on the light (weight) side than I am used to, but by no means a problem. Defenitly a good product that I use on my iPod Touch (2nd gen), Samaung Captivate, and Nook Color.Well done.I purchased this item from Amazon because I kept pressing the wrong screen options on my Nook Color screen whenever I was checking my e-mail or surfing the web. It was very annoying. With this stylus I haven't had any further problems of pressing the wrong keys, menu options, or screen options. It works very well.Good product which allowed me not to have to heavily zoom-in on the screen each time to interact with the small details of webpages.

PalmOne 3208WW Tungsten E and Zire Essentials Kit
- Accessory starter pack to get you started with your PalmOne handheld
- Leather carrying case to protect your Palm
- Universal multifunction stylus that also functions as a multi-color pen and pencil
- Four screen protectors to keep your screen safe from scratches
- For PalmOne TungstenE, Zire21, 31, and 72 handhelds
The stylus is cool a blackpen, an orange pen, a pencil and stylus all in one. It took me a few minutes to figure out exactly how to switch from one to another but I managed. The screen protectors are ok nothing spectacular. Don't follow the lines printed on the screen cover when you trim them to fit your PDA the lines for my Zire 31 are a bit small.
All in all, this is ok but I think next time I will try to find a better case. I would advise any PDA noobs to buy the PDA, take it with you to a store that sells cases and pick one out from there.

The Essentials kit was very nice. Screen protectors are very nice to have. The case provides good protection without the hassle of velcro or snaps. The pen/pencil/stylus is a very cool product. You just tilt the pen with the pic of what tip you want facing up and click. A good all around kit.Read Best Reviews of PalmOne 3208WW Tungsten E and Zire Essentials Kit Here
The case is nice. and the screen protectors are handy. Very nice that the lines are marked on them for the differet pda sizes to cut down to.The "stylus" is more like a junky leftover from the 80's. no way of telling or chosing which stick is going to come up. there is no stylus, just a pen with no ink which is difficult to discern from the pen that does have ink.
It comes nowhere close to fitting in the stylus slot, or anywhere on the case itself... AND why would you need a pencil, pen, and yellow crayon for your pda....
...this item in this package has me totally befuddled.

I've had the palm kit for over 2 years and the case is now starting to break on the edges from flipping it open anytime I use it. This is from normal use and not from even flipping the case open and holding it open. It seems the edge of the case is re-enforced with a piece of wire and the leather has worn away on both sides and exposed the wire to the point where it has broken on both sides. The stylus/pen thing is not very useful and is a bad design. I'm not really sure which function I'll get when I turn and push down the button on top.
As for the screen protectors, I can tend to be a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to having no bubbles under the clear coat but that wasn't even the thing I was most disappointed with. I was going through a new protector almost every month because it would get more and more difficult to write in the same spot due to the wear on the protector. In the end I bought a Boxwave screen protector and I am much happier. Although the Boxwave screen protector is more expensive then all the other screen protectors, the one protector I have had for a little over a year is still going strong.was not satisfied the description staed that there were several screen protectors only one was received
