Seidio SURFACE Case for AT&T HTC Fuze - Black

Seidio SURFACE Case for AT&T HTC Fuze - BlackThis case comes in two pieces, one of which is a small frame that snaps on to the front of the Fuze, and the other is a larger piece the snaps on the back and up the side of the keyboard. The plastic is a hard plastic with minimal flexibility, although it is not slippery, as in the phone will not slide right off a surface as the normal Fuze exterior will. It is a dull finish and always looks clean (no fingerprints). A minor visual negative is that you can no longer see the cool back pattern from the Fuze.

The fit of the two pieces is nearly perfect. The front snapped on very easily. The back, which comes with a thin piece of felt lining the back, did not fit well enough on my Fuze. It seems the felt provided just a little too much thickness. I simply peeled the piece of felt out (and all of the adhesive behind it!!). Afterwards the back snapped on just fine. The pieces are not in danger of falling off easily. I have to say I am very impressed with the fit. Four foot falls on low pile carpet and the case stays on without a problem. I have not attempted more daring tests. That said, since it is a slim-fitting case, I wonder how much drop protection it provides. At the very least, you'll come out scratch-free.

The thickness of the case is as advertised, and does not bother me. Some may be concerned that the menu dropdown in the upper right screen is harder to press with a case on the Fuze, but in this situation, the case edge is 2mm away from the edge of the actual screen. The side buttons are easily accessible. The USB cord can still be used without removing the case. The stylus is slightly harder to remove.

Overall, I've been disappointed with so many cell phone/pda cases over the years that in the end I rarely end up using more than a screen protector. Although this case is a bit more money than many, I highly recommend it because it looks good and fits very well. I will stick with Seidio products for my future mobiles.

I purchased the Seidio Innocase case thinking I was buying the top of the line, or at least the most expensive case. Even after very gentle use the tabs on the case that hold the case to the phone start to break off. So after about 6 months the case was no longer usable. There are similar cases that are as cheap as $0.95 on Amazon, so I couldn't justify what Seidio asks for this case. SAVE YOUR MONEY.

Buy Seidio SURFACE Case for AT&T HTC Fuze - Black Now

This case is absolutely flawless...perfect fit without adding much bulk to the phone (about 1mm). The case is made of high quality material and the two pieces snap on to the phone very easily leaving all of the buttons, stylus, usb connector, and keyboard fully accessible. It is definitely worth spending the extra money when compared to the cheaper cases offered on eBay and other websites.

There's really not much I can add to review that hasn't already been written. I just think that if you have a Fuze, you already know that it's a fingerprint magnet. Why HTC made the phone so glossy, I'll never know. And for that alone, you need to purchase this case. Once attached, the case adds almost negligible weight or bulk. It's rubberized texture makes it much easier to maintain your grip. It actually reminds me of the Incase hard cover for my Macbook. The case is masterly designed; it's almost as if HTC made the case themselves. One small caveat: the top cover's left side lifts up a little too easily, IMO. If you notice where the side volume keys are, you can see that the top case is thinly designed around it. I think that this where the case looks most breakable. It if were only designed to reach just about half a centimeter closer to the keys, it wouldn't lift as easily. I worry that over time, that piece will break off. This has yet to happen to me, but it's something I could foresee happening.

Want Seidio SURFACE Case for AT&T HTC Fuze - Black Discount?

I was sort of hesitant to get this case. It's expensive... but I don't regret it now. It's a really thin case, so it doesn't add much bulk to an already bulky phone which is great. It has a great rubbery feel and has a very secure clip on factor as opposed to the "hinge" or "track" that most of the other cases for this phone have... GET THIS ONE! It's a million times better than the other cases for this phone because it's secure, snug, has a great feel, minimal bulk added. Hope this helped.

Buy PS410 Black 600DPI Color & Mono HandyScan Handheld Scanner Now

Received on time. The "buttons" to select function and resolution are 1 mm holes on the side. I guess you are supposed to stick a paper clip to work them, I could barely read the instructions on a quarter sheet of paper in about a number 6 font (tiny)

I could not open the CD either. My last two installations were for a Logitech mouse and a Brother printer, both trouble free.

I now have this recurring message when I boot that installation failed. It does not respond to a computer restore sequence.

Since I could not get CD to load, nor activate the "buttons" or "switches" (holes in the unit) I give it a total F for failure.

Seller digimall was prompt and courteous when emailed, I returned unit , and they promise that a refund in a few days will appear on my credit card.

I am still looking for a handheld scanner. I consider the design of this unit to be junk.

I purchased this item from eforcity, but the item that I received was not what I thought I ordered. It did not look like any of the pictures. The item I received was a plastic tipped, all metal bodied stylus with a rounded, metal tipped stylus hiding under the plastic top cap. It also didn't fit my Treo 680 very well, sticking out the top of the case and hanging up on my holster. I don't know about the other vendors, but eforcity emailed me and said that they don't carry what I thought I ordered. Caveat emptor, I suppose.

Want (3pack) Palm Treo 680 Metal Stylus Pen Replacement Discount?

It's always good to keep a spare stylus around especially if you use it very often and forget where you placed it. The ball point pen is convenient especially when you need to sign something or give someone a note and there's no pen around. Overall, the 3pack stylus is great. Could have done a little to make it look better but it's ok. I find it better to write or point compared to the original stylus since this doesn't flex as much. But I like the look of the original stylus better.

Micro Solution Pro Guard AF (Anti-Fingerprint) Clear and Glossy, HD Professional Protection Film for

Micro Solution Pro Guard AF Clear and Glossy, HD Professional Protection Film for Apple iPad and iPad 2 // PGAF-IPAD2R
  • This product is for Apple iPad 3rd generation and iPad 2.
  • Micro Solution's AF (Anti-Fingerprint) protective film is the highest-quality glossy film for Apple iPad 2 from Japan. It repels fingerprints effectively, and keeps the beautiful images on iPad's high resolution screen. The size of the film is slightly smaller than iPad's screen, to make it easier to apply.
  • Our film is not thick, but it is hard enough to guard against most casual scratches. Our film has anti-static treatment, which repels dirt and dust in addition to fingerprints. Our film is not glue-based, so even when you remove it, you will find no residue on the LCD surface.
  • This product comes with a protective film, a microfiber cloth and 2 sheets of lint/dust remover. Our protective films are made of excellent quality in Japan by Micro Solution. More information on this and other Micro Solution products can be found at microsolutionusa.com.
  • Instructions are in Japanese. If you have any problem applying this product to iPad, please go to our Website for instructions in English. We use eco-friendly simple packaging for all our products.

I've been using the iPhone 4 version of the Pro Guard Clear and Glossy for a while now and I am totaly happy with it! What I ended up doing when I got my iPad 2 was searching through reviews here on Amazon to find the best rated screen protector I could find. What I initially found, and chose, was the iVisor. The iVisor had the highest customer rating AND the product description indicated the "clarity" that I wanted. The iVisor is MATTE type finish, which was not stated in the description. I DO NOT LIKE MATTE FINISHES on my HD screens. The ivisor made the iPad screen fuzzy and even caused me a little eye strain trying to focus out the pixelation effect. I sent the iVisor back 10 minutes after I received it and ordered the Pro Guard Clear and Glossy like I should have done in the first place. WAY WAY WAY clearer and NO fuzzy screen anymore. I am absolutely happy with this product and will certainly get another if this one wears down. RECOMMENDED if you don't want to lose the sharpness of the iPad display.

I found this to be inherently difficult and unforgiving to apply to my ipad screen. It was probably just me, but it just did not work for me.

Read Best Reviews of Micro Solution Pro Guard AF (Anti-Fingerprint) Clear and Glossy, HD Professional Protection Film for Here

Background:

I've used a variety of screen protectors from the cheap-and-common "Made in China" ones to the premium ZAGG ones; and as with everything it boils down to what you want from the screen protector. My review is based primarily on -

1) Protection of the screen

2) Cost

3) Ease of installation (alignment, dirt/debris minimization...etc.)

4) Support

5) Product quality

Pros:

-Pre-cut for iPad2 & iPad (3rd gen.) camera, buttons...etc

-Finger smudge reduction by approx 40-50%

-Full 8.5"x11" microfiber cleaning cloth

Cons:

-Cost approximately $20

-Difficult to install without getting debris under the film/screen-protector

-You only get one (1) change to put it on the iPad properly no mulligans

-Material quality only nominally better than the "Made in China" ones

-All installation instructions in Japanese

Unknowns:

-I didn't interface with the support staff, especially seeing as every single piece of text in the package was in Japanese, I couldn't without translating.

Conclusion:

I think this product is merely "okay." It does primarily what it was pitched to do, reduct finger smudges; but that's a very hard thing to quantify (my estimate above is merely my ballpark guess from about a month's use). It lacks severely in the ease of installation arena, especially compared to ZAGG products which give you multiple attempts (unlimited with fluid/water?) for re-application. The extremely large microfiber cloth is nice, but why would I need a grossly oversized screen cleaner cloth if my screen protector prevents or severely reduces finger smudges? Seems suspect to me. I'm by no means a klutz when it comes tech peripheries, and application of this screen protector truly disappointed me with the amount of debris I had to live with stuck underneath the film; let alone I had to guess considering all instructions were in Japanese.

Verdict:

-If all you want is something to prevent scratches ==> buy a "Made in China" pack for dirt cheap

-If you want a nice screen protector for your expensive gadget ==> consider using ZAGG products

-If you want to "reduce" the amount of finger smudges on your screen ==> buy this product

Post-Purchase Perceived Value:

I feel that this product should be in the $7-10 ballpark, not $21.

Disclaimer:

I am in no way affiliated or sponsored by ZAGG or anyone else mentioned in this review. I am an individual who purchased this product and felt compelled to share my own personal opinions and interpretations of this product for the betterment and knowledge of the Amazon consumer base.

Want Micro Solution Pro Guard AF (Anti-Fingerprint) Clear and Glossy, HD Professional Protection Film for Discount?

This my second purchase. The first one is for my iPhone 4, which is amazingly easy to install, bubble free~ so when I got my iPhone 4s I placed this order right away, alone with 2 iPad protector for our iPads. Impressive, good quality. I was worried at first because the iPad screen is much bigger which means much more difficult to install. But I was wrong. :) it is a little more work, but not big deal.

One hint: if you find any dust under protecort while you already put it on, just put the cleaning sheet(the addhesive one, not the cloth) on your protector and lift, the protector will be lifted up, and then use another cleaning sheet (as they provided 2 which is awsome!) to clean the iPad screen, or even the protector itself, and then just put the protector down, it will be all set. :D

PNY 128 MB SmartMedia Flash Memory Card

PNY 128 MB SmartMedia Flash Memory Card
  • Specifically designed for use with digital still cameras and camcorders, handheld PDAs, portable MP3 players and other products that use SmartMedia for standard or extended data storage
  • Compatible with today's most popular operating systems, such as Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000, OS/2 and Mac OS
  • No moving parts means much lower power consumption, and skip-free playback
  • A non-volatile storage medium - your data is not lost when batteries die
  • Store, erase, and reuse - PNY SmartMedia Cards can be written and rewritten thousands of times

I agree with the previous review. I also bought this card and used it on my Fuji 4700, but after several months of use, a card error comes up. I re-format as FAT or FAT32 and it will work by taking 3 pictures only, but will eventually come up with another card error. I also bought a Sandisk version and it did the same thing. I own 3 useless 128MB cards and the one I use now is a 16mb card that came with the camera.

Buy PNY 128 MB SmartMedia Flash Memory Card Now

After a couple of weeks of use, the card failed work losing all the pictures from a trip to Arizona. Attempts to format and stick into card readers have failed. For the record, my camera is a Fuji FinePix 2800 Zoom.

I am likely to think twice about buying another PNY product (I have a third video card by PNY which is adaquete but could be better).

Read Best Reviews of PNY 128 MB SmartMedia Flash Memory Card Here

How many pictures will it store? It is the most commonly asked question from digital camera enthusiast but usually the question that is the most difficult to get a straight answer about. Well, considering I worked in the memory industry for over 7 years I can help clarify this perplexing question and do so unbiased as I have since changed industries.

The PNY 128MB SmartMedia Flash Memory Card, like most 128MB cards, will store on average 142 pictures when used with a 2 megapixel camera, 106 images when used with a 3 megapixel camera, 64 pictures when used with a 4 megapixel camera, 51 images when used with a 5 megapixel camera, and 40 pictures when used with a 6 megapixel camera. These numbers are based off the assumption that you are going to shoot your images at the highest quality JPEG setting available for the camera and understand that they are estimates and may be off by as much as 10 percent due to numerous factors including the complexity of the scene being shot and the compression algorithm used by your specific camera.

I truly hope this review was helpful to you in determining whether this card is the right capacity for your specific needs.

Want PNY 128 MB SmartMedia Flash Memory Card Discount?

Smart media cards seem prone to the error message, but I found that if you rub it lightly on the metal strip, it works well again. It's the price you pay when your camera doesn't use compact flash or SD cards. I use a Fujifilm FinePix 6800z.

I'm really surprised at the number of bad reviews for this product. I have a 16MB Olympus card that came with the camera (a D-550 zoom), a 64MB that I got as a bonus of some sort, and the 128MB PNY. I never use either of the smaller cards. I have taken at least 2GB worth of pictures over the past 2 years and only once had to reformat the card. That was because I pulled it out of the reader before it had finished writing. I am very careful to transfer any non-repeatable shots to my laptop, then to my desktop, where I keep a series of folders that I restrict to 600 MB. I burn these to CD-ROM about once a month, then delete everything off the camera card.

My only complaint is the transfer time, but this is the only type of portable media I use, so I don't know how it compares to other formats.

Going Paperless for Dummies Scan & Organize Your Documents

Going Paperless for Dummies Scan & Organize Your Documents
  • 0

Going Paperless for Dummies is software that assists you in scanning a document, converting it to text using optical character recognition (OCR), loading it into Word, Excel, or an Adobe pdf document, (or your favorite word processor, spreadsheet, or pdf viewer/editor) and then saving it. Once a document has been scanned it is searchable and the text can be edited. Going Paperless requires Windows 7, Vista, XP, or 2000. There's not a Going Paperless version for the Mac.

What's in the box: a Quick Start Guide, a 57 page User Guide (paperback), and a CD with the Going Paperless software plus another program: the Electronic Filing Cabinet. A scanner is not included in the box (but there is an option to use a digital camera). Word, Excel, and Adobe software are also not included (but see the Options paragraph below).

Registration: When I registered the software, I received a message that I was using an old version (version 12) of ReadIRIS, the OCR software. And I was offered the new version 14 of ReadIRIS for $79 (regular $129). There was no free update and I declined the $79 offer.

Installation: Loading the software is easy. I chose not to install the 50+ different languages. After the program was installed, your scanner may or may not be automatically detected. My Brother MFC-495 was not detected. So I followed the instructions, selected TWAIN, and then found my scanner in the TWAIN "Scanner Model" list. So I was good to go.

Use: The basic process is to place a document on your scanner, choose to scan to Word, Excel, or a PDF, and then your document will be scanned and opened in the Going Paperless Window with an option to save and open the document in Word, Excel, or your PDF software. Optical Character Recognition is performed when text is recognized. (You can also scan and save it as an image file. Going Paperless can also perform OCR on an existing image on your computer.)

Going Paperless document window: After an image is scanned (or an image file is opened) a representation of it will appear in the Going Paperless document window. You will see what the automatic page analysis has determined the sections or zones in your document to be: the border colors are orange for text, purple for images, pink for tables, green for barcodes, and blue for hand printed text zones. If your text was not converted, check to see if it was determined to be an image (purple). You can manually change a zone type (right click and select Window | Type) and then reprocess the document (click Process + Save).

Options: For anything other than a very basic text document, you may have to go into the options for improving on the results. There are options for manually defining the zones (text, images, tables, barcodes, hand-printed text (must be all caps), or zones to be ignored). There are options for formatting, resolution, language, character pitch, black and white, grayscale, or color, straighten the scan (Deskew) if it is tilted, automatic document feeder (ADF) or "interval" scanning for multi-page documents, generate bookmarks, etc. If you don't have Word and Excel, you can choose AbiWord, Adobe Reader, the clipboard, an HTML editor, Jarte, Lotus Symphony, Nvu, OpenOffice, StarOffice, WordPerfect, or WordPad (text frames and columns are not supported by Wordpad so a special page analysis and single column format is used). There is also an option to use a digital camera rather than a scanner.

Formats: Going Paperless supports the following formats: Adobe Acrobat (pdf), DCX fax (fcx), DjVu Images (djv, dcx), JPG (jpg, jpeg), JPEG 2000 (j2c, j2k, jp2), Portable Graphics Network (png), Compressed & multipage TIFF images, LZW, PackBits (tif, tiff), Windows Bitmap (bmp), and Zsoft Paintbrush images (pcx).

Support: Page 4 of the Users Guide gives a website and phone number for support. When I went to the website and tried to submit a support request I received an error message.

Performance: Conversion to text was fairly quick on my computer. It took just a few seconds to perform the OCR of a full page letter, but your mileage may vary. I scanned the back of the Going Paperless box into Word without changing any of the options. (See the pictures that I uploaded.) The following text was accurately loaded into Word (along with images):

v Easy To Use

Simple For Dummies program with easy, intuitive buttons and

directions for any person to go paperless.

v Efficient

With best-in-market technology made easy by For Dummies,

going paperless is a fast and easy process.

v Convenient

Save time, never have to search through piles of paper on the

kitchen table, office desk, or file cabinet again. Once

paperless, everything is immediately searchable and viewable

at the click of a button.

v Stress Free

Never worry about losing or accidently discarding a document again.

v Ideal Tools For

Bills, tax returns, contracts, warranties, letters, certificates,

bank papers, titles, insurance documents, recipes, report cards,

diploma, passport, official documents, mortgage, investments, and more.

My first test of scanning a table into Excel did not go well. I scanned a budget table with row and column headings and 5 columns of numbers (which had been printed landscape rather than portrait). What I received in Excel was the following garbage: "0 ~ (!) c (!) (f) >. After trying several different things I was able to get all of the headings and numbers scanned into Excel (when a gray-colored row was removed and the document was turned and scanned in portrait). All of the numbers and text headers were correct. However, for all of the cells with numbers Excel gave me a warning message that the number in the cell was formatted as text. So I had to select those cells (as a range) and then click the error message and select the convert to number option.

Scanning landscape documents: Doesn't work automatically for me. There is a scanner option for landscape but I couldn't tell that it really did anything. However for Word documents I was able to have success when I scanned the document and then clicked Process | Rotate clockwise, and then Process + Save. However the same procedure didn't work so well for tables I wanted to scan into Excel. Columns disappeared and some of the numbers were marked as text zones. I changed the text zones to table zones but they didn't get merged into a single table. And I couldn't save the result to Excel, only to Word.

Electronic Filing Cabinet Software: This program installs separately. There was no documentation and I chose not to install it. However the Dummies website states: "Contains all the pre-built folders you need in life! One click simplicity to save, file and retrieve all the documents that matter. Save statements, bills, receipts, warranties, email, agreements, and web articles . . . you now have a place to file everything!"

CONCLUSION: My initial round of tests showed that scanning basic portrait documents produced very accurate Optical Character Recognition of text and numbers. Text that is not level on the page and complex documents may produce some formatting challenges. OCR of scanned landscape documents were not processed well automatically. I was able to overcome the landscape issue for text documents but not for tables that I wanted to scan into Excel. I would give 4.5 stars for scanning basic documents that are portrait mode and maybe 3 stars for complex documents and landscape documents.

Aluminum Capacitive Sketch Stylus fine point touch Pen for iPad/iPhone/iPod/Galaxy Tab /Touch Tablet

Aluminum Capacitive Sketch Stylus fine point touch Pen for iPad/iPhone/iPod/Galaxy Tab /Touch Tablet Computer
  • New generic universal touch screen stylus
  • Compatible with iPAD/iphone/iPod Galaxy Tab Touch Tablet Computer
  • High-quality aluminum construction
  • Ultra-soft beaded rubber point for smooth control
  • Ergonomic design with triangular prism Body to hang

Looking at the picture there appears to be a white tip at the contact point giving the illusion that this is a fine point stylus. Look closely. The "white tip" is actually a reflection of the body of the "pen" on the surface. This product has the same, large, spherical contact point that is on all other products. NOT A "FINE TIP" STYLUS.

Buy Aluminum Capacitive Sketch Stylus fine point touch Pen for iPad/iPhone/iPod/Galaxy Tab /Touch Tablet Now

I bought this stylus in hopes of using it to take handwritten notes on my HP TouchPad and draw a couple of sketches. If this is what you are looking to do with s stylus like this one, THIS IS NOT THE STYLUS FOR YOU. Instead of gliding across the screen, this stylus drags lazily and slowly across the screen.bottom line: it's good if you just want to do some casual tapping around, but it's not for writing notes or sketching.

EDIT 3.1.12 It broke within the couple of days that I'd had it. IT hasn't eve been a week yet, and the rubber tip has already ripped off.

Read Best Reviews of Aluminum Capacitive Sketch Stylus fine point touch Pen for iPad/iPhone/iPod/Galaxy Tab /Touch Tablet Here

This stylus really writes well, but it is just not what I expected it to be. I was looking for something much thinner and lighter. It seems like it would be much better for drawing or just simply using as a tool to scroll, etc. I was looking more for something that felt like pen because I am using it to take notes in class. That being said, it is still a great product and writes really well... just feels like I am holding a big heavy crayon.

Want Aluminum Capacitive Sketch Stylus fine point touch Pen for iPad/iPhone/iPod/Galaxy Tab /Touch Tablet Discount?

I've tried more than a few. And so far, this is my favorite. Feels more like a pen. Good weight. Well balanced. Durable. And it does make note taking more akin to what we're used to. And with my horrific handwriting (be very glad this is typed), the stylus helps with legibility. And at less than 10 bucks (currently), hard to argue the value. So, if you're on the fence, feel comfortable making the purchase, as I doubt seriously you'll be disappointed.

This is really a great little item. I was having trouble with having Customers sign off on my iPad, using their finger tip was ghastly and unbelievable to them, but this is one of the better tools in my bag.

I bought this to use on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. It came in the same week I ordered it and in excellent new condition. I worried for a second since the instruction manual was for ipads and calling it an ipad keyboard but after it finished charging it paired easily and effortlessly with my Tab. Within seconds I was typing away. It is a bit cramped, but seeing as it's a tiny bluetooth keyboard I wasn't surprised. The keys feel solid and springy and feel just like a laptop keyboard. Construction feels solid, it's very light, and looks good too! Totally recommend this keyboard.

Does anyone have any ideas? I went through the manual and because it doesn't turn on, I can't even troubleshoot. Is there a way to "hard reset" the device? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

This is an excellent product. I have had it on my iPad 2 for approximately a year or so and I couldn't be happier. I am a mother of 3 young children and also have my iPad 2 with me all the time, where ever I go. Along with the excellent screen protector I have, this back casing has kept my iPad 2 in excellent condition. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking into different accessories for their iPad. It was an very reasonable price, received it in a very timely manner, and have had absolutely no problems with it. Extremely pleased with this product and would recommend it to anyone looking into purchasing this product.

This item is merely ok! It slips on the back of the iPad, however after some use, you will notice that it slips off really easily. Because it only is on by a few corners and sides due to the iPad cover and magnet covering one side, it is held on on limited surfaces. The cover doesn't stay on, the edges and sides come off easily especially when you stick it in your bag or briefcase, when you pull it out, chances are the cover has come off altogether or at least part of it is. I have since removed it and thrown it out!

It has good material, but after 4 months, the cover is all dirty and I can't clean it! I know it is white, but I though I would be able to clean it, which is not true. I tried to clean using everything and I will buy another color.

Tripp Lite B004-VUA2-K-R 2 Port USB KVM Switch w Audio and Cables

Tripp Lite B004-VUA2-K-R 2 Port USB KVM Switch w Audio and Cables
  • 2-Port Desktop KVM Switch with Audio and USB KVM Cable Kits
  • Controls 2 computers from a single monitor, keyboard and mouse
  • Lets 2 computers share an audio device
  • Compatible with all major operating systems
  • 1-year warranty

This product was easy to set up, works great, no hassle. Can be used with/without the driver disk, though you need the drivers to setup audio-lock (i.e., listen to audio on computer #1 while moving mouse/keyboard control to computer #2). I can't speak to the video quality because I'm only using the K/M/A components.

Even though this is a great product in the end, setup was a little scary. I wasn't going to give it less than 5 stars because it does what it's supposed to and is priced great too. However, there's a couple things you need to be aware of:

1. The keyboard/mouse USB ports to not go as deep as most, leaving one with the impression that the connection is not solid. However, I have had NO PROBLEM with my connections. It was just the initial impression that the connection *might* not be very good.

2. The audio pass-through is subject to some noise interference. When I first plugged everything in, the noise was so bad that I thought I was going to end up returning the device. I was able to fix the problem by turning down my speaker volume and turning up my Windows volume control settings.

BTW, I use a wireless mouse, and my keyboad is actually plugged into the USB hub of a separate number pad, which in turn is plugged into the keyboard port of the KVM. I have no problems with any of my input devices.

Last thought: Like any other KVM switch, every time you switch control you'll hear 42,000 bell sounds as your machines detect USB device connections/disconnections. You'll want to customize your Windows audio scheme to shut that off. It took me about 2 switch-overs to realize how annoying that is!

Just an FYI for 64-bit Windows 7 users: this switch does not work with it. I intended to use it to switch between an old XP machine and a new Win7 machine. It locked Win7 up so completely that I had to hard boot it. I googled around a little and, sure enough, this is a common problem with this switch (and, to be fair, many others).

For now, I'm just going to use Remote Desktop to access my XP machine from the Win7 machine. This switch will go into the closet. Hopefully, I'll have a use for it, someday.

Don't let the pictures confuse you as to how this hooks up to all your stuff. The mouse and keyboard that hook up to the device are sent to both systems via the VGA output on the device. The VGA cord actually splits into a VGA and USB once it reaches your computer. Also, what look like mini-USB connectors on the device actually turn into headphone and mic jacks once they reach your computer.

2 issues.

1) The documentation says it works with Linux in the sense that you can still use ScrollLock-ScrollLock to switch between systems. That is not working for me. If you run Windows, it may work just fine, or work with the special software they make for Windows. Don't know. I have to manually switch systems with the buttons on the device, which isn't THAT much of a pain, but it is a minor pain.

2) Slight VGA issues. When the screen is black (not off, just totally black background), there are very faint lines that are scrolling down on it. You will not see these under normal conditions, but you can when it is totally black. Also, there is some very slight ghosting of things. Like, a very faint image of the mouse cursor will appear to the right of the cursor on a very dark background. Once again, it is very faint and only the most picky of people would notice it. VGA suffers from these issues anyway, so it may be that, but it is possibly exaggerated with the device.

Other than that, it does the job, and it's relatively inexpensive as far as these things go.

This switcher works great to go between my old and new computers that share a monitor. One big tip, though, be careful when you click on the 1 and 2 buttons on top if you push them too forcefully, they'll jam underneath the plastic cover and you'll have a hard time getting them to pop back up where they should be. Love this switcher.

This product works fine. Whether the switching is done manually (buttons on the device itself), or using the keyboard combination, the transfer is smooth and fast.

(Note: I haven't tried the microphone/speaker switching features.)

There is a problem when using this switcher, and it's one that never occurred to me before I used it. Your keyboard doesn't work unless the KVM switch drivers are loaded. Consequently, you can't start the CMOS setup service at power-up for example. Also you can't enter Windows "safe mode", because they both require keyboard input before Windows begins to load.

My workaround is to keep an old keyboard on the floor nearby that connects to the primary computer through the traditional keyboard connector instead of USB. This solves the problem, but having a keyboard on the floor adds to a cluttered look and is, frankly, inelegant.

  • INTEL CORP. BX80601W3550 XEON W3550, 4C, 3.06GHZ

Well I cant say much that hasn't already been said....lol..... I can say that this is one fast CPU and for the cost It should be. The overclocking ability is very good and has very easy to use BIOS setting to accomplish overclocking for the new and technical advanced people. I takes on anything I throw at it without even a strain. I am usually a AMD man 100% when building a gaming unit. This was the first Intel I have purchased for a gaming build since 1993 & I don't regret the purchase. I remember when I was looking at this CPU and reading everyone else's comments about how Sandy was coming out soon and to hold out. I don't regret and I don't think Sandy lived up to i the hype in what I have seen from it. I have experienced both and I will stick with the I7

Other Thoughts: Great Processor for the money.

BoxWave Tungsten E2 ClearTouch Anti-Glare Screen Protector (Single Pack)

BoxWave Tungsten E2 ClearTouch Anti-Glare Screen Protector
  • Winner of Handheld Computing's Top Award!
  • Super clear and packed with numerous features
  • Anti-Glare, Dust Repelling, Fingerprint Free, and Improves Handwriting Recognition
  • Washable and Reusable, ClearTouch Anti-Glare protects your Tungsten E2's sensitive touchscreen against Scratches

I had searched the web to figure out which screen protectors to purchase for my Tungsten E2 and these were recommended. I must say I'm very happy with my choice. They arrived quickly, are easy to apply, easy to push out air bubbles, and have no smudges, scrapes, or other marks (the original protector which came with my palm PDA was awful!) I would purchase again without hesitation.

I never knew I needed a screen protector until my old Palm gave out completely due, no doubt, to terminal scarring on the screen. A protector came with the Tungsten E2, but it was hard to apply without bubbles and wasn't very clear. This one is great--it comes with a well-designed little device to apply it without any bubbles, and once applied, it is invisible but thick enough to provide the screen with real protection. I think it also noticibly diminishes glare. It seems expensive, but I'm guessing that it will prolong the life of my pda.

I just wasted $16.35 on this piece of junk. It arrived quickly, and became unusable even faster.

For those of you used to disposable screen covers, there is only one in this package! The instructions say you can clean it, but it came out of the packaging with lint on it, which immediately adhered to the sticky side, and could not be cleaned off.

Since the package was opened, it could not be returned.

I love that it is a twin pack.

I don't like the Lexmark printer I have due to it uses a lot of ink.

This cartridge is easy to put in my printer too.

I'm not a fan of Lexmark ink or Lexmark printers. I recently got rid of my Lexmark Pro 715 printer, but these "high yield" cartridges barely last more than two or three months in light use.

Nokia N82 Black

Nokia N82 Black(this review is from the perspective of a Nokia Gamer)

Any Nokia Enthusiast with experience of hacking Nokia devices would definitely want the n82. It's one of the only phones left that has hardware acceleration, that means it can take advantage of certian games such as quake, quake 2, quake 3 (yes! it plays quake 3 at 25fps+)

See my youtube videos here:It will also play gameboy advance with sound and a frameskip of 1 (sometimes 2) at perfect speed. You can tilt it sideways and use the volume keys + camera and gallery button as A, B, L, and R.

Now about the official features of the device:

The 5mp Camera is excellent, I use it as my main camera. The Xenon flash is a big plus, and it makes every photo crisp and enhances the quality. With xenon flash pictures will never get blured, you can take a picture of a spinning fan or moving water and it will capture every droplet or stop all the fan blades in motion. It will light up a pitch black room as if it's lit up by daylight or fluorescent light.

You can see my flickr account here with some n82 pictures:If you'd like to see some samples of the Video recording I also have quite a few on my youtube profile (on the right side). It sure looks great!:

[..]

Speakers are LOUD, crisp, and of great quality. I haven't owned a louder portable device yet, and the n82's speakers are stereo, which just sounds awesome.

The screen can be easily seen in daylight. The material it's made of kind of reminds me of an old gameboy, the way that you have to have light shined at it in order to see. Well in the sunlight it just seems to enhance the screen rather than make it hard to see. However if you have a scratched up screen this will make it harder to see, as scratches light up in sunlight.

Also, the GPS is really nice, there is now OVI Maps 3 which is free. The older verions of Nokia maps used to cost. Depending on the day it can take anywhere from 5 seconds to 5 minutes to get a signal. The 5 minute days don't happen too often.

All-in-all this phone is awesome, It's a basic bar phone but packed with lots of features!

PTC Premium High Speed USB 2.0 to Serial RS-232 DB-9 Converter with 3ft Detachable Extension Cable -

PTC Premium High Speed USB 2.0 to Serial RS-232 DB-9 Converter with 3ft Detachable Extension Cable - Supports Windows 7, Vista, XP, 2000, 98, Linux and MacThe package that arrived look very different from the package pictured. It was a pretty simple bubble pack. A "PTC" sticker had been placed on top of the original manufacturer's name, "Viewcon". I plugged this in to a windows XP machine, and it worked out of the box, with no additional drivers necessary. I plugged this in to a Mac OS 10.6.8 machine and got nothing. So I went to install the drivers. Unfortunately, the product ships with a "mini" cd, making it impossible to put into a modern MacBook or MacBook Pro computer. I stuck the CD into my XP machine, shared the files over the net and followed the directions to install the driver. The driver is really made for Mac OS 10.4 (Tiger). I was doubtful if it was going to work. While I attempted to follow the directions provided for Mac installation, they were out of date, and slightly different from the screens I was actually seeing. The driver installation required a restart. After the restart, the new hardware was discovered, and I was able to use it right away with a terminal program. I am unsure whether "an activation" was required, and I don't think I activated anything. I wouldn't call this the perfect product, but it worked.

This cable works out of the box with Windows 7. I did not even need the disk. My PC recognized it, connected to the internet and got the driver. Unlike other cheap cable based on the Prolific chip set, this one is based on the FTDI Chip set and it will remain the same com port number, no matter which USB slot you plug it into.
