I simply refuse to use a plain black case, but it's harder than you'd imagine to find something other than black or pink! That's why I was estatic when I found this case in red! It's a perfect fit for my Motorola Xoom with easy access to all ports/camera/buttons. I love the elastic band that holds it closed...keeps the screen from being damaged while bouncing around in my bag. I've only had it a couple of weeks, so I can't speak to the durability yet, but it seems like it will hold up. Overall, I definitely recommend!!

It was so hard to find a case that was a hard shell AND a smart cover. This case has both! I bought the Apple cover first, but was disappointed with its quality and higher price. My friend also has this cover and was happy with it, so I decided to try it. The only bad thing about this case it that the snapping mechanism isn't easy to open, so my friend's broke off and I rarely close it fully because of this. However, the case stays closed mostly so it isn't a big deal. Great, sturdy case that is less expensive than others that are less attractive and less functional! Also, this particular seller shipped this item and it was in my hand in a few days!

BoxWave Garmin Nuvi 265WT ClearTouch Anti-Glare Screen Protector (Single Pack)

BoxWave Garmin Nuvi 265WT ClearTouch Anti-Glare Screen Protector
  • Winner of Handheld Computing's Top Award!
  • Super clear and packed with numerous features
  • Anti-Glare, Dust Repelling, Fingerprint Free, and Improves Handwriting Recognition
  • Washable and Reusable, ClearTouch Anti-Glare protects your Garmin Nuvi 265WT's sensitive touchscreen against Scratches

This product does what it promises protects your screen.

That said, two cons I'd warn anyone thinking buying this to consider:

-The anti-glare protector polarizes light, if you wear polarized sunglasses (which is a common scenario when driving in sunlight), it will cause serious color distortions making your lcd display harder to read.

-The product is made with VERY tight tolerances to the wide screen's dimensions. I had a devil of a time getting the last corner seated onto the GPS. This has practical implicationsif there is a rise/gap in your screen, you have to push harder on the touchscreen(bottom in particular mis-reads my presses often now). Had I known this, I'd likely have trimmed a millimeter off side & bottom edges to allow a safe gap so it could sink more flush.

Buy BoxWave Garmin Nuvi 265WT ClearTouch Anti-Glare Screen Protector (Single Pack) Now

Yes this screen protector fits onto the Nuvi. I'm nutty about straightness and neatness when it comes to things like this. It's not an "exact" fit and that bothered me. Also, in putting the protector on the screen, dust adhered to the sticky side. Now you have air bubbles that detracts from the look. I threw mine away immediately.

BoxWave EverTouch Capacitive LG Phoenix Stylus - (Newest Technology) Touchscreen Stylus with Ultra D

BoxWave EverTouch Capacitive LG Phoenix Stylus - Touchscreen Stylus with Ultra Durable FiberMesh Woven Fabric Tip for Ultra Responsive, Smoother Glide, and Increased Accuracy
  • FiberMesh Tip is a tightly woven conductive material that is highly durable and resistant to tearing and breaking
  • The result is ultra accurate and responsive performance, including the ability to work at any screen angle with less pressure required for each movement
  • Longer length; Solid aluminum barrel construction
  • Cleans the screen as you use the stylus
  • Package includes 3 clip-on lanyard attachments: 3.5mm headphone jack attachment, 3.5mm headphone jack with an elastic coil for screen use while attached, Charm clip for attachment to key chains, charms, or bracelets

Nice looking, but is not real leather. The plastic that covers the sliding kepboard rips at the bottom where the charger goes. It also hinders the phone keyboard from sliding in and out easily. I do not expect it to last very long. It has extra pockets that are useless for more than thin piece of paper. the pockets for the extra memory cards are also useless. The memory card will be pushed up against the touchscreen of the phone scratching it. It also creates a problem closing the cover to the phone. Its also a hassle to use during a phone call, the flap is always in the way. I no longer use it, and its still new except for where the plastic is starting to rip at the bottom.

rooCASE 3n1 Capacitive Stylus Pen / Laser Presentation Pointer / LED Light for Apple iPad / iPad 2
  • Non-OEM 3n1 Stylus for Apple iPad / iPad 2
  • Ultra Responsive Capacitive Stylus that Works with All Touch Screen. Intergrated Stylus Pen with Laser Presentation Pointer and LED Light.
  • 2 Buttons for Red Laser Beam and Bright LED. Come with x3 LR41 Batteries.
  • Lightweight Aluminum Pen Body that Weighs in at Only 0.8oz Stylus Length: 118mm
  • Available in Black and Silver. Search: rooCASE Capacitive Laser Apple iPad / iPad 2

I was looking for a stylus and a laser pointer that wasn't too expensive. This one fit the bill. I did have to press a little harder for my iPad to recognize it, but it's not inconvenient. The only comment I have is that the buttons for the led light and the laser pointer are very close to one another. Sorta akward feeling, but I really only use it for the laser/stylus purposes anyways.

HP iPAQ RX3115 Pocket PC

HP iPAQ RX3115 Pocket PC
  • Integrated WLAN 802.11b, Bluetooth IrDA and USB
  • Microsoft Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition software
  • Watch and listen to your favorite video and music on the go
  • Control most home and office audio/video equipment with a single device
  • 56 MB of user-accessible memory

My Palm Zire 31 recently died of a traumatic screen impact. I had every intention of replacing it with another of the same, but after poking at handheld display models around town, I decided to upgrade from my Palm to a Pocket PC.

I found the Pocket PC to be aptly named. It really is a pocket sized mini-computer. There's a fossil PC in my basement with less memory, less storage, a slower processor, and absolutely no multi-media capabilities. It cost over $3000 in 1996. The iPaq rx3115 cost 1/10 the price and delivers so much more. I am really impressed.

I chose the rx3115 over the rz1715 because the rx3115 has built in wi-fi and bluetooth. You can buy a wi-fi card for the rz1715, but it costs about $80 and takes up your only SD slot. The rx3115 is $100 more than the rz1715, so it seemed more efficient to just spend the extra $20 on the better model. If you never expect to need wi-fi, go ahead and save the $100. Me, I like being able to access my husband's amazon.com wish list from a Panera Bread parking lot.

The rx3115 starts with the same basic features as any handheld: an outlook compatible calendar, address book, and task list.

In addition to those basics, you get pocket versions of Word and Excel. The built in print manager allows you to print wirelessly from network ready printers.

On top of basic workhorse programs, the rx3115 adds built-in Avantgo software, which allows you to select free news and entertainment channels then download those pages onto the handheld. This means you can read this morning's Wired while standing in line at the DMV.

Then, it takes the multimedia capabilities to a whole new level. You can stream video, music, and photos from a desktop or laptop to your handheld, so if you want to listen to your MP3's from the basement, you don't have to bother copying them onto your SD card. If you want to load an album onto your iPaq, you can do it wirelessly on the way out of the house no messing with the USB cord needed.

It also acts as a universal remote control, usable on any device with an infrared control. This is a mixed blessing, to say the least. Try to use your powers for good instead of evil, people.

The built in one-touch voice recorder works surprisingly well for (so far) unlimited voice memos. You can manually set the sound quality, so you can get incredibly crisp sound if you're willing to take up a lot of space. The built in speaker is very loud and clear for a device this size.

I like a lot of little details about the rx3115 namely, the fact that it is slim enough to fit into my tiny little purse when in its hard case, the full size screen (no graffiti area unless you call it up), the ability to flip the screen sideways and back at the push of a button, the very responsive mini-keyboard which is a breeze to pull up or shrink whenever needed, and the one-touch voice memo button.

Finally, it's easy to download additional programs ranging from Age of Empires to ListPro (a very useful and highly recommended program!)

Incidentally, if you don't like the goofy multimedia home screen, you can download other free Pocket PC themes from Microsoft.

Cons:

All that said, this is not the most intuitive device I've ever used. The walk-through is beyond useless. (It tells you things you can do without showing you how.) Finding files can be surprisingly complicated. It looks a lot like Windows XP, but doesn't follow the same well established rules, which can result in some initial confusion.

Some features do not have a back button, so there can be an awkward amount of closing the program and starting over.

Because HP assumes people want this handheld for the sake of watching TV and listening to music, none of the buttons take you to normal handheld destinations, such as calendar, address book, and tasklist. You can reprogram the buttons, but it takes some digging to find how.

The Close and OK button are in the same place, so it's very easy to have half a dozen programs open, all hogging your memory, without realizing it. Separate screen buttons would go a long way to clearing this up.

Basically, you have to spend a little time learning the quirks of the system, but when you do, I find it well worth the time investment.

Other:

Some useful links for additional software include:

illiumsoft.com makers of listpro

handango.com quality Pocket PC and Palm pay downloads

pocketgear.com more quality pay downloads

audible.com audio books and magazines to download and listen to on your palm or PC.

There are free download sites out there, but I find you get what you pay for. While there are some free gems, but you have to dig pretty far to find them.

Finally, BUY A HARD CASE! Handheld manufacturers all include awful cases and HP is no exception. The screen is much more fragile than you think. One impact and you're out $350 for a handheld and trust me, once you get hooked, you'll NEED a new one. Amazon sadly lacks good rx3115 hardcases, but I found an excellent one at styluscentral.com. You can find plenty of other cases through Froogle.

I will not go into the details of the product as the review before mine went over every possible point any user of this device could possibly think of.

I am a casual user who is still in college and found this device to fit my needs very well. The multi media buttons, optional landscape view, and overall multimedia focus make this an ideal PDA for people who are going to use their device for entertainment purposes. I have been able to fit full movies onto 128 mb memory cards, so I always have something to look at in between classes, or on long trips.

I have also been able to record most of this past semesters lectures (with permission of the professors of course!) using the amazingly clear nuilt in microphone. It was able to pick up the professor from across the room without a problem(we have small class rooms, maximum 20 students, so you guys with mega sized classes might not find it so useful.)The downside to such a receptive microphone is that it also picked up the sound of paper being shuffled near it, which can sound a bit like finger nails on a chalk board when replayed.

It also comes in handy for a Word doccument viewer. I proof read my papers on the Ipaq and use the stylus to make my corrections. I do not recommend typing an entire paper on the mini keyboard, but it does work well for makr ups. I have all my papers written while in college in an SD card that is in the case with my IPAQ, 4 years of papers easily accessible!

I decided to buy this with some extra money I had instead of an IPOD. Unless you have 5,000 songs the IPOD is not that great, and can cost more than the Ipaq. I use my Ipaq for music using SD cards to hold the music. Granted I can only listen to a few hours of music at a time, but its worth it to get all the other features, you can't watch a movie on an IPOD! The earbuds that come with the Ipaq are pretty bad, consider buying a third party ear wear.

One last thing, I managed to write (and hopefully send) this review using the Ipaq's wireless internet connection. If that doesnt work I will just use the built in blue tooth connection and send it to my laptop.

I preordered this pocket pc about 2 weeks ago and recieved it las week, and I am in love with it. I control my tv, dvd, audio reciever, and my HP zd7000 laptop with it, and can also chat in msn and surf the web (in landscape mode, it is MUCH better for web surfing) from my bed using wifi, and I can also connect it with my t-610 using blue tooth.

The features on this PPC are great, and everything you need comes included. It is one of the smallest Pocket PCs, and is also vey light, and it looks very sleek and modern.

I recommend this to everyone who has the need for an entertainment PDA or for a business PDA .

Excellent Product, thoroughly recommended.

I had a Cassiopeia for about 2 years and this HP blows my Cassiopeia away. I installed all the software in about ½ hour. The wireless works fine to look at web pages and use AOL Instant Messenger (must purchase the program). The screen is bright and the battery lasts all day.

I bought this one specifically for the wireless, it uses a SD card instead of compact flash, and you can set the screen up to be sideways. The sideways screen is easier for writing notes and reading AVANTGO web pages. The scheduler is great. I use it to hold over 100 business contacts and keep my schedule. For an extra $150, you can get this same model, but with a camera.

I highly recommend this PDA.

I had a Palm Pilot a few years ago and it just wasn't useful to me. Inputting text was difficult and slow, and there were not enough useful features I suppose. I sold it after about 6 months.

Now we finally have the rx3115 with builtin wireless, bluetooth, calendar, notes, web browser, MP3 player, video player, Word/Excel, instant messaging (download the free Agile Messenger program), games, you name it. And all for under $300 (well under if you get refurbished). This thing truly is a mini-laptop. A poor man's (like me) laptop, if you will.

The rx3115 doesn't have the fastest processor or highest amount of RAM, but it is more than enough for common usage. It doesn't have a camera or cell phone capability, but the cameras I've seen on other PDAs are poor quality compared to normal digital cameras anyway.

There is one very significant con to consider for this or any other PDA. That is text input. The handwriting recognition is excellent, so much better than the old Palms, but it is still a bit slow and imperfect. The mini in-screen keyboard is nice, but also slow to use. If this is a significant concern for you, spring for a foldable keyboard. I got the HP FA118A and it is perfect. The Stowaway brand is also highly rated.

Some tips if you get this PDA. Search google for freeware pocketpc to find some useful free software (like Agile Messenger which connects to Yahoo, AOL, MSN, Jabber chat). Go to the HP.com site to download the latest firmware updates for your PDA. Also at Microsoft there is an SP3 update for the .NET Compact Framework.

This is the best affordable PDA out there.

  • Multi-use, halogen source.

  • Maximum efficiency and gel life.
  • Focus range-6:1 with #1 reflector & FTK lamp.

This is a good interview light and is fairly controllable with barn doors. Also has a handy umbrella bracket. But the main advantage of this and the rest of the Lowel offerings is the small size and light weight which make them great for ENG work. But their limited control means they're not really the first choice of cinematographers.

rooCASE Netbook Carrying Bag for Acer Aspire One 10.1-Inch AOD255-2509 Netbook - Classic Series Black / Dark BlueI bought these cases for my grandsons to protect their computers. I found the cases to be very high quality and would recommend them to everyone.

We have at 3 other rooCase products and like all of them. The "extra" space for the power cord could have more room although my husband has a 10" Samsung not an Acer. That may have made a difference but other than that it's a great case!

Transformer 700 with keyboard fit nicely. The keyboard (detached) slips into the inner sleeve, which is on the underside of the front cover of the rooCase. Probably meant to hold papers, etc., but the keyboard fits nicely. Meanwhile, the tablet fits against the other side of the case (the "bottom") and can be secured by two velcro straps. I have my T700 encased in a nice gumdrop case (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0098V1GJG/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00), and it fits in the rooCASE with about an inch to spare (width) and two inches to spare (top-to-bottom). I'd say there's probably at least an inch clearance above the top of the tablet and the closed top in which you could put papers or other items. Of course, if you have your Transformer mounted to the keyboard, the clamshell Transformer will fit with no problem in this case. Be aware, however, that the case barely accommodates 8 1/2 X 11 paper -you may have just a bit of corner bending.

Structurally, the case is very well made, with adequate padding on all sides. Comes with a handle which I like, in that it can collapse flat against the case, and a handy detachable shoulder sing is included.

SEIDIO DUAL-HEAD SYNC/CHRG MICRO USB CABLE

SEIDIO DUAL-HEAD SYNC/CHRG MICRO USB CABLEThe product performs as described but I have real concerns.

The red micro wire is exceptionally thin. I have never seen such a thin wire on any consumer product of this type. The supporting jack housings and wire coating do not appear to support what I pereceive would be required to protect this thin wire from handling damage. I handle this like a egg as I road warrior from airport to rental car to hotel.

Purchase options for this type cable are limited so I bought it. I should have bought 2 to eleviate my concerns of it failing when I need it most.

This is the one cable to have if you need micro USB sync/charge reliable, retractable, and can charge two devices at once given enough juice. I've used it to charge a wide variety of devices and it has never failed. Sync's my BlackBerry Storm 2 just great. Can charge the Storm and my BT headset simultaneously. Is about as small as a reliable retractable cable can get. Note that you have to connect to a source with sufficient amperage to charge your device, some USB connections on laptops don't provide sufficient current for some devices. I use this regularly in my car souced from the Kensington PowerBolt Duo Kensington K39224US PowerBolt Micro Car Charger for iPad, iPhone and iPod, including iPhone 4 on both the 1 amp and 2.1 amp connections without problems.

Battery for Palm M150, M155, Zire 21, Zire 22
  • Capacity: 650mAh
  • Brand New
  • Replacement Battery

Great price, performs as advertised, easy to install; who could ask for more? This is the second battery replacement in the long life of my Palm Z22 PDA with which I am very satisfied until a smart phone that I can't resist comes along. Anyone shying away because of uncertainty about what's involved in making the replacement should know that the only "skill" required is the soldering of just two simple wires once the PDA back is removed, which is very easy. If you're like me and really like your "stone age" device, this is a good way to extend its useful life.

Indy 500 Power Grip Hand-Held Racing Wheel

Indy 500 Power Grip Hand-Held Racing WheelI wanted a small HAND HELD steering device with a radio controller style interface and this is the closest thing I could find. It's much bigger than I wanted but this is all that's available. The most important thing here is that there is no mention that it is a game-port device! A game-port is usually included on some sound cards, so be sure you check that you have one. Also check if your operating system (O.S.) will support it and how to set it up. If you don't have a game-port you can get a USB converter. I suggest the Manhattan USB Game Port Adapter ($15). This is an inexpensive way to have a non-intrusive steering device that is not available anywhere and I hope somebody will make a drawer size wheel for us casual drivers out there!

PNY PCF256RF 256 MB CompactFlash Flash Memory Card

PNY PCF256RF 256 MB CompactFlash Flash Memory Card
  • Compatible with digital cameras, handheld PC's, audio devices and notebooks designed for use with CompactFlash
  • Maximizes your storage capacity, resolution and speed
  • High Performance, low power consumption, non-volatile storage
  • Store, erase and reuse. PNY CompactFlash cards can be reused over and over without loss of quality
  • PNY CompactFlash cards resist breakage and are not affected by extreme heat or cold

I purchased a PNY 256 MB CF card in April of 2003, and it just stopped working, in December. I have tried to contact PNY for support, but their support people don't offer much help. They offer a lifetime warranty on their products, but tell me I have to return it at the place of purchase (I only have a 30 day return policy, and that has expired). Their support people have told me they do not offer picture recovery from bad CF cards, either. Lexar DOES. Guess whose CF cards I will be buying in the future...

In short, bad customer service and lousy support!

Buy PNY PCF256RF 256 MB CompactFlash Flash Memory Card Now

I purchased one of these from Amazon about a year ago. A few months back my computer and camera are unable to read it. Lost pictures, not happy. I treated the card well and it rarely left the camera. I have yet to see if they will honor their warranty but I still wouldn't suggest this brand since reliability with something like this is of the upmost importance. It is also an extra big deal that I have to return it since I have personal photos on there that I do not want some guy at PNY looking at and showing around work and even possibly spreading all over the web. Finally, I doubt I need to mention how much it sucks to lose files and data. Big thumbs down for PNY from me. Will not buy from again.

I was always a believer that all media cards were created equal. Whether a San Disk, Lexar, PNY, or SimmpleTech card, it didn't matter, each worked as well as another. Well, I was wrong. After one use, just one single use, the PNY card stopped working! Just one use, I couldn't believe it!

In my line of work, I sometimes put my camera and media cards to the test. I use San Disk cards (which have never failed me), but one time I needed an extra card and had to settle for a PNY. That turned out to be a big mistake. Luckily I was able to return the card and get my money back.

I purchased a PNY 1GB compact flash card from a local retailer. I put the card in a brand new Canon Rebel 300D, snaped a few shots to test the card... Images came back striped, with strange colors and patterns often taking up half the image.

Worried it was the camera, I switched back to my eMedia 256MB card took a few

shoots of the same subject, everything was normal. No stripes, no strange colors.

Still not convinced it was the flash card, I repeated the process, putting the PNY CF back into the camera. Stripes, colors, patterns again!

I thought this may have been an isolated case, until I read the reviews here on Amazon. I will not be buying PNY again. I suggesting sticking with better known (and more costly) brands.

My PNY 256 MB CompactFlash Memory Card lasted for 3 years without a hiccup. It mysteriously died on me the other day and took a few pics with it. It lasted 3 years, so I assigned it 3 stars for quiet, dependable service. I would've wanted more reliability from a solid state device, hence the average rating.

Producet arrived in time however i must say that i was very disappointed with the quality of the prodcut. It was silly of me that i could get a good cover for few bucks however i also did not realize that amazon will allow such substandard products to be sold on thier esteemed site. Regardless I was very disappointed and will not recommend anyone to buy it

Acer Aspire V3-571-6643 15.6-Inch Laptop (Midnight Black)

Acer Aspire V3-571-6643 15.6-Inch Laptop
  • Intel Core_i5_2450M Processor 3.1GHz (3MB Cache)
  • 4 GB SDRAM RAM
  • 500GB 5400rpm Hard Drive
  • 15.6-Inch Screen, Intel HD Graphics 3000
  • Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

So far I am very happy with this purchase. I was looking for a core I5 processor and nice big screen for under $500, and this unit does nicely. The keyboard has a good feel to me the keys are spaced out which feels a little odd at first, but makes "fat-fingering" almost impossible. The sound is good, though not loud but I can use external speakers if I need loud. It looks like it will be easy to upgrade the RAM I ordered a second 4GB stick from crucial for $24, but it has not arrived yet, so I can't verify how easy it is. Not a hard-core gaming machine, but you knew that. The built-in Intel graphics bring the "Windows Experience Index" down to 4.7. The CPU rates a solid 7 (7.9 is the maximum, for some reason). It is excellent for work, casual gaming and watching movies. It has HDMI out and a USB 3.0 port and a 500GB hard drive. Good battery life. Boots up very quickly. Webcam seems adequate. There was a lot of junk installed on the system, but I was able to easily uninstall what I did not want.

For the price, I highly recommend this notebook PC. I was able to get it for under $500 from Amazon itself the price seems to vary a lot depending on who you buy it from.

Update very easy to update the RAM. One large panel on the bottom with two screws provides access to HD, RAM and wireless card. The system recognized the additional RAM immediately on restart, without my having to go into BIOS.

I needed a $500 PC. It has bluetooth and USB 3.0. The keyboard feels really nice, with a number pad. I've had this for a couple of weeks and already recommended one to a friend and she loves it. For $500 it is a great unit. I ordered 4 gb more of ram for $24 and it installed very easy. WiFi N works really fast.

I purchased this laptop last Christmas and I must say... Its a phenomenal laptop for the price. Its very fast, and the Intel core i5 processor has turbo boost which can rival any first-rate i7 laptop. The keyboard is very nice and solid. The screen quality is clear. The sound quality could be much better but its reasonable for the price.

My only issue with this computer is the build in particular the power button. The button is located just above the keyboard (all the way to the left.) The problems is that the panel of the button is very thin and therefore very, very, very easy to press. If you accidentally slide your finger over it at any time, your computer will shut off. But that's not the worst of it. The power cable port is "conveniently" located directly parallel to the power button. So you may be thinking, why is this bad? Well... If, when plugging in the power cable, you jiggle the cable a little too much, you may accidentally hit the power button sensor... From the back! I can't tell you how many times I've lost work after plugging in my laptop. And because the computer is so fast, it turns off very quickly, making it nearly impossible to save your work before the inevitable.

All in all, a great computer for the price, but BEWARE of the power button.

This laptop is a beast and seems to be made for Windows 8 which I immediately installed. Dual core processor core i5 just kills when it comes to performance. You could spend a hundred dollars more and not do better than this laptop. Awesome! Only problem is that I still can't seem to get the Bluetooth to work, but that's probably because I downloaded the wrong driver for it and am working on that now. I don't really need the Bluetooth though.

I loved this product. Good value for money at this rate. Has all the latest features. The only thing why I am giving the rating 3 star is, because I received this laptop with a defect in screen. When I switched on the laptop for first time, the half screen was bright white and half was visible. There were vertical lines on the white portion of the screen. But then got the Acer support and they fixed it in time and sent me back.
