Olympus PT-032 Underwater Housing for Stylus 710

Olympus PT-032 Underwater Housing for Stylus 710I used this for scuba diving for up to 60' (which is the deepest I can go) and it had no leaks ever. Also the video with the Olympus camera works with this housing and sound comes through very well underwater (mostly bubble sounds though!). Also great for sand, as I took it to Great Sand Dunes Nat'l Monument in Colorado-extrememly windy and sandy, and will ruin anything you take. Used this housing for video and pics, which all came out great. Also used it whitewater rafting. Used it skiing-you'll never get snow in or on your camera with this if you fall! If you drop the camera, the housing will also help protect it from bumps and jarring. If you have an Olympus 710, GET THIS HOUSING.

Jabra C500 Lightweight Earset - Wired Connectivity - Mono - Behind-the-ear

Jabra C500 Lightweight Earset - Wired Connectivity - Mono - Behind-the-ear
  • 2.5mm Phones and Devices
  • Generates smooth and accurate sound.
  • Lowers distortion
  • Answer / End Button on Boom - Mute Switch
  • (Color may vary)

Something that has always bugged me is how "throw away" they tend to make wired earsets these days. I have only had a cell phone for about 6-7years and in that time I have literally been through like 30 earsets because of poor construction or the irritation of losing it from my ear all the time.

This is the first behind-the-ear design I have tried and Iam kicking myself for not doing so much sooner. It takes a little getting use to at first to place it behind your ear then flex the ear bud over your ear then seat it properly to your ear but once you get use to it is not so bad.

Once seated and in place you almost forget that it is on. Both caller and called party are clear and no muffled audio. (unless it is on the other person's end because they have a crappy earset lol) Construction is sturdy and the cord does not feel cheap or like if you put too much stress on it the wires will break. I have found in my experience that Jabra is usually a well put together product and this earset lives up to that opinion.

Be careful when looking into these as the Jabra c250 may not be useable on just any phone. I have an LG Voyager and before purchasing this model I bought the c250. The packaging clearly stated that it was for certain models of Samsung phones through AT&T but the product description listed it as a universal earset. I do not blame the seller because in many cases cell sets are pretty much universal but in this case I could be heard fine but could not hear caller even with volume full, was like they were verrrry far away.

Be aware of the model number as they are identical in physical design. This one is the c500 so be sure you are looking at the correct model when price shopping.

Mine was $5 with shipping and am so pleased with it I ordered 2 more the day I received it so I have extras if I break or lose this one.

Comfortable, light, stays in place, excellent audio quality both send and received, great price in my case, what more could you ask for?

when i purchase this headset i expected a brand new one i was looking foward to it when i received the product you can tell the original packaging had been opened and the product had been used and the reason i know it had been used is because the ear part had crust all over it from whoever used it thats just disgusting i will be sending it back ASAP for a full refund. That's called false advertisement hopefully that does not happen to anybody else.

Want Jabra C500 Lightweight Earset - Wired Connectivity - Mono - Behind-the-ear Discount?

This headset is reasonably comfortable. Have not found one I didn't want to remove when I was done talking. Sound quality is excellent, but you cannot use this in an area with any noise. The microphone picks up, amplifies, and transmits all ambient noise to whomever you are speaking with. Apparently it is extreme as everyone has complained to me about it and no one ever complained to me about any of my previous headsets.

I like this product so well that I bought more of them for the family. I know wireless is nice but I hate to have to charge things up. This way it just plugs in your phone and you are set. I love it and so does everyone else I bought one for. We all use them everyday and for the price....you cant go wrong.

Palm Slim Leather Case (P10985U)

Palm Slim Leather Case
  • Compatible with Palm Tungsten E2
  • .

I have to say, this is the first item I bought from Amazon that I have mixed feelings about. I wanted to try it out before comitting to it because, let's face it, you have to put your PDA in it to see how the whole PDA + case combination works. But PDA cases these days use those hard clear plastic packaging so that you can't get to the product without destroying the packaging, and therefore, you can't return it if you don't like it. The only reason I chanced this purchase was because I had a $5 Amazon promotional certificate to spend, so why not?

Overall the case looks handsome and slim. The PDA slips into a sleeve inside, which is held by bands of elastic on its side and bottom edges. Access to all the relevant PDA ports are problem-free. However...

The case does not close with a snap tab closure, but has a belt loop through which you must thread the belt end and pull. I found that, unless you pull the belt really tightly, your PDA (in my case, a Tungsten E) can slip out slightly about 1 cm from the top end of the case if you inverted it and shake it a little. This is a design flaw that PalmOne should address because the PDA is not completely secured in its sleeve in all directions. They could have made the elastic bands to cover the upper left-hand corner (without obstructing the SD card port) since the upper right-hand corner is where the stylus sits in the PDA. I am contemplating on adding a small velcro patch in the back to secure it if it becomes too loose, but I will hold off till the bitter end...I HATE VELCRO FOR PDA!

Also, because the closure is based on the belt-loop design, I foresee that leather loop may loosen in the future after prolonged use. I have owned this case for about two weeks so far and it is fine for now. I do admit that I avoid repetitive loosening and fastening of the belt because I think it will become too loose one day. Anyone who has longer experience with this case is welcome to comment on this.

It is an okay case given that it is relatively inexpensive, and looks pretty nice and slim. However, as for the complete security and protection of my PDA, PalmOne can do better.

Buy Palm Slim Leather Case (P10985U) Now

I bought this as the Amazon-recommended case for the Z22. The price was reasonable and it looked attractive. The only problem is that it doesn't appear to be made for the Z22. There's nothing to keep the PDA from falling out if you turn the case upside down, you can't get to the on/off switch and it's bigger than it needs to be.

I'm very happy with the Palm Z22I just wish they had a nice leather case that was really made for it.

I use this case for a Palm Zire and I am glad I got it. The leather feels nice and looks stylish. It adds very little bulk to the PDA and has slots for MMC cards and other papers.(I keep a business card, just in case it is lost.) It holds the device quite securely. I like the tab closure for style, though it makes it slower to open and close. For this reason, I give it 4 stars instead of 5.

Want Palm Slim Leather Case (P10985U) Discount?

This is the best yet case I have found for my Zire 31. It is a good fit, and gives good protection to the PDA. It looks stylish, too. I had tried the harder, plastic cases, but the plastic case with the velco is way too large, awkward, and scratches easily, the Velco holding the PDA is just added work. This leather case is better, by far.

This case fits my fiance's Zire 31 well. The power button, the synch and power plugs are slightly blocked, but that is okay. It is snug and protects it well without being bulky.

My Tungsten E juts out on the top and slides around a little. I wouldn't feel safe keeping it in this case.

I'm very happy with this purchase. My daughter has been using it on her iPad for a month and no breaks. High quality cover that still allows you access to camera and all buttons. Would definitely recommend!

For us, the inability to access the lock screen (or mute depending on your settings) turn out to be pretty annoying. Also the ability to turn up and down the volume is not as responsive since those buttons are covered as well. Otherwise, it is a good design for younger children with the rounded, heavy foam corners.

BoxWave Presentation Capacitive Stylus - Professional Executive Quality Capacitive Touch Screen Styl

BoxWave Presentation Capacitive Stylus - Professional Executive Quality Capacitive Touch Screen Stylus w/ Integrated LED Reading Light and Laser Pointer for the Amazon Kindle FireI love the build quality of this stylus! Although I don't use the laser pointer function, it's nice that

the feature is there. The LED light is helpful when I need a light source.

As for the stylus itself, I do sketches with SketchBook Pro and it works great!

Overall impressions, LED flashlight, laser pointer, capacitive stylus.

1) When putting all the batteries in there, they rattle around. The pen is solid but there are rattling sounds coming from the pen like something is broken inside. I've ordered two of these pens (black and silver) and they both do the same when fully loaded with watch batteries. That's a shame, it sounds cheap and crappy. For a not-cheap pen, this is cheap.

2) LED Flashlight. It's a single LED and it lights up things well in the dark. It works. You have to hold the button; it's not a "toggle". You can't realistically use it for reading, definitely not for typing, but as a small flashlight, it works!

3) Laser pointer. Probably the strongest feature of this pen. The laser pointer works INCREDIBLY. I played with it a while. Pointed at things across the room. The kids thought it was a hoot. Then at dusk, with semi-daylight, I used the laser pointer to point at a wild rabbit that was chewing on clovers in the back yard 30 yards from the house, in the grass, THROUGH A DIRTY WINDOW. The laser was perfectly precise even at that distance. The kids thought it was a hoot. That's pretty good quality.

4) Capacitive stylus. This is not for detracting this particular model, but rather, the overall technology. The nub of the pen is the same as EVERY OTHER STYLUS. I bought a variety of them to find a good one for hand-writing notes on the tablet. Unfortunately, the tip of the pen is a round, soft thing about 3X as blunt as the tip of a sharpie. It's like writing with a big worn-out Crayola marker. I bought these to write notes on my tablets. These are OK for navigating and big, coarse sketches but they are absolutely useless as writing instruments. Don't even bother trying. It works with my Galaxy Tab 10, Acer A500, Googlesung Nexus 7, Galaxy Note 5.0, and other capacitive devices. It's functional. But it's not sensitive. NONE OF THEM ARE. Cheap, expensive or otherwise, DO NOT EXPECT TO HAND-WRITE CURSIVE NOTES ON YOUR TABLET. It simply doesn't work. I remember the good old days of the Palm Pilot with a resistive screen and a hard, sharp stylus that attempted to read your handwriting. It actually worked decently. With capacitive screens, you simply can't accomplish this.

I'll pay $100 for the stylus that lets me scrawl accurate handwriting and drawings on a capacitive screen. Right now, as far as I can tell, there is simply no option. The tip of this pen, as with EVERY capacitive pen, cheap and expensive, is like writing with a small bean bag.

Convenient little package of bands. They arrive just like the picture shows, and are pretty good quality. I haven't used the heaviest one, but the other 4 seem to be in very good working order and at no risk to snap. The bands are pretty good quality (though my experience is admittedly limited) and the attachments seem to hold up well. The bag to hold the extra pieces when not in use is also a convenient little accessory. Recommended item!

Genius SlimStar 8000 2.4GHz Wireless Keyboard Combo

Genius SlimStar 8000 2.4GHz Wireless Keyboard Combo
  • 2.4GHz anti-interference desktop combo
  • Ultra-slim keyboard design, innovative keycaps
  • for great tactile feedback
  • Two hot keys for volume control
  • 1200 dpi optical mouse sensor for smooth
  • movement control

I'm writing this review from all the way across the room with this fangled wireless Keyboard/Mouse setup from "Genius." So far I have to say I'm impressed. The range is obviously very good, with absolutely no errors in keystrokes. You hit the button, it shows up on the screen. No lag or missing keystrokes. As far as the quality of the keyboard goes, that's also impressive. It is lighweight, but sturdy, silent, good bounce back. I'm a pretty fast typist and actually find myself going even faster with this keyboard than my allegedly fancier one from Gateway. It feels good to the touch.

The mouse is also nice. A good size that would fit any normal sized hand perfect. Clicks are firm and tight, stroller button works like a charm. There is an off switch on the mouse so as to not waste battery. There is not an off switch on the keyboard, I don't know if that's because keyboards don't waste batteries or simply because they didn't feel like adding one. If somebody knows the answer, maybe they could leave a comment? The mouse requires 2 AAA and the Keyboard 1 AAA. The batteries are included.

To get the wireless working you simply have to plug in a handy USB signal reader thing into a free USB slot. There's no software to download or install. After about 5 seconds the keyboard and mouse will start working. If they do not start working, remember to turn the mouse to the "on" position.

So overall, I'm a fan. I can't really comment on how long these guys are going to last (I've only been using them a few weeks but will update my review if they suddenly crash), and although I like the feel of them, they do seem to be fairly cheaply made. Anyway, for under $30, it's a hard deal to beat. I looked for something to critique everywhere I could and so far haven't encountered anything. As always, my reviews will be updated if I discover some sinister flaw I overlooked.

Buy Genius SlimStar 8000 2.4GHz Wireless Keyboard Combo Now

I have had this keyboard/mouse for a little over two weeks and although I like the easy set-up and size, it was advertised as having laser printing on the keys that would stand up to heavy use. This unfortunately is not true. My letters are fading fast and blending into the black keys. This is one of the main reasons I purchased it. For the price it is not worth sending back, but I will buy a different brand and keep this one as a backup. Very disappointed!!!!!!

Well I had to think about the rating for this cause I couldn't use it right now. I bought and still own three computers in the last 10 years, all of them desktop units. The first was a Windows 98 based Dell Pentium 4, the second an XP based Dell XPS, and the current machine a Windows 7 based Dell Alienware machine. I have a very expensive gaming keyboard, with a built in color mini screen, lots of special macros and control keys. This keyboard and mouse worked fine on it, and I was surprised that the mouse was efficient enough to play Starcraft 2 without latency in movement. Unfortunately, it can't replace my gaming rig. The second machine died, and many attempt to revive it fully have failed, so I've decommissioned it. Surprisingly the first computer still works, but it's Windows 98 and is not supported by the keyboard and mouse duo.

Still Win98 is old and I can't fault a new product for not supporting it. The price on these is amazing for what you get, and the 2.4 GHz is great to combat interferance problems. I had and still work with an old Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse at work. It loses signal periodically, and once when in the test lab they were testing a number of telematic devices, every time they tranmitted, the reciever module would search for a new mouse and keyboard signal, what a pain. This doesn't happen with this duo, I'm definately going to keep it around for when I use a laptop. I hate those scratch pad mice, and a good feel keyboard is nice too, especially if you use a dock.

Want Genius SlimStar 8000 2.4GHz Wireless Keyboard Combo Discount?

This keyboard is so sleek and small, yet it is full-sized and the keys are well laid out. The mouse is very comfortable. The 2.4GHz receiver works from anywhere in my house. Previous wireless keyboards that I have had barely work at 5 feet, let alone in the front yard or upstairs. I have had it on for 3 months straight and the batteries are still going so it is power efficient and must have some sort of built in sleep mode for conserving battery life when you aren't using it.

I've never had Genius products before, but I will always consider them now.

Highly recommend this product.

Save 20% Off

The Genius wireless/keyboard set is a good compromise between utility, quality and price. Anyone who seeks simplicity and and a space/saving quality keyboard/mouse combo should be happy with the "SlimStar 8000" and I will explain why below.

FEATURES THAT I LIKE

Space saving while still a near 'full size' keyboard is the main positive. At 16" by 4.5" and only about half an inch thick the keyboard leaves room for everything else on your desk and, being wireless, can be easily moved out of the way if needed. The keys are large enough to allow for comfortable typing.

Keyboard is actually good. I'm a fast touch typist and I found myself fast touch-typing away on this keyboard within minutes. I actually like its feel.

Sensitive 1200 dpi mouse. There's nothing special about the mouse: 2 buttons and the clickable scroll wheel other than it's extremely responsive and precise.

Ease of installation, batteries included. Once the (included) 3 AAA batteries are in place, 1 for keyboard, 2 for mouse and the USB receiver is plugged into your desktop/laptop USB port you are ready to go. All works perfectly, or it does on my Windows 7 laptop.

Clever design. As one who's spilled his fair share of coffee on his various keyboards I appreciate the 8 (counted them) water drill holes on the base that would at least partially mitigate such disasters.

Price, of course. It's quite a deal for a good keyboard/mouse combo.

THINGS NOT EVERYONE MAY LIKE

Mouse is small. 2" wide by 4" long, it works best if operated with small hands. I can still use it but an 8-10 yr. old should find this mouse ideal.

It's not clear whether the mouse on/off switch should be used to preserve battery life. I don't know for how long the battery in this mouse is going to last but, if it doesn't last 'for months' I will come back to this review and report my findings. For comparison sake I've been using a wireless Logitech mouse for more than six months now and it's still with the original battery.

Receiver is not 'nano' size. At almost 1" long, some laptop users may not something that long coming out of an USB port. Of course, not a problem if used with a desktop.

Narrow function keys. The upper row which includes Esc, the Fxx keys, PrtScr, Scroll, Pause and the speaker volume buttons are half size. Depending on how often you need to press F5 or F11 this may or may not be an issue.

MY RATING

I hesitated between 4 and 5 stars, with 5 stars meaning "I love it" because this is not a perfect product. But, the negatives listed above notwithstanding, it turns out that I actually love the "SlimStar 8000" (quite a name for a cheap keyboard). At this time I'm debating with myself whether I'm going to take it to my office or give it to our 8 yr. girl to use with her desktop. In the end... it's going to be her decision :).

Answering the question: knowing what I know today, would I buy the SlimStar 8000 if I needed a good wireless/mouse keyboard combo and price was a factor? The answer is yes so, 5 stars it is. A future downgrade is possible if battery life is not up to expectations.

Targus Executive Stylus and Pen for Apple iPad, iPad 2, iPad 3 and iPad 4th Generation, iPad mini, 1

Targus Executive Stylus and Pen for Apple iPad, iPad 2, iPad 3 and iPad 4th Generation, iPad mini, 16GB, 32GB, 64GB WiFi and 4G, iPhone, iPod, and Tablets AMM05TBUS Gun Metal
  • Allows users to type accurately and comfortably and soft, durable rubber tip won?t scratch screen
  • Functions as a roller ball pen for smooth writing and traditional note-taking
  • Leaves no smudges or fingerprints
  • Works on all capacitive touch surfaces; use with iPad, iPod Touch, iPhone and other capacitive touch-screen devices
  • Pen is compatible with Cross Roller Pen Refills

Perhaps you're like me -you have a little trouble when using your index finger to manipulate and interact with your e-reader or tablet. If so, this is the perfect accessory for you. This stylus by Targus is a very effective tool. In addition, its weight and color (gun metal gray and chrome) are attractive. I love the sleek look of it resting inside my M-Edge Executive Kindle Jacket, Red). It is comfortable to hold and use while reading, playing games (OK, so I have a Matrix Bubble addiction) and when doing any other activities on your device. The soft tip protects your screen and saves you from having to hold your index finger extended for long periods of time!

This style is unique because, although it has the soft tip for the screen, it also has an ink pen inside the cap! Just pull off the snap-on cap and you have a writing utensil at hand. The pen contains a Yeetsen brand roller type cartridge but you can also use Standard Cross Gel Rolling Ball Refills that can be purchased from Office Max or any other office supply store that carries that brand.

I received my Kindle Fire as a Christmas gift and was happy to find a stylus to use with it -I don't think you can find a nicer product for the money if you want a device like this.

Highly recommended and would make an excellent gift!

I received my Targus Combo stylus / pen and am very pleased with it. I'm a pen collector of sorts and have been an o.e. calligrapher for over 25 years now. I'm very particular when it comes to fine writting instruments. I own a couple of Montblancs, a couple of Pelikans and more common brands like Cross, Sheaffer and Parker. This pen writes flawlessly and the stylus works very well even with a screen protector on my iPad. All in all, this is a great value. Besides it's functionality, it also looks great. I have many clients who have made compliments regarding it and all are very impressed. Shipping was expeditious as I opted to use Amazon's Free Super Saver shipping. I live in Hawai'i and received the pen in two days! I HIGHLY recommend this purchase without any reservations.

I've used a lot of stylus products for iPad and other touchscreen products; the problem with most of those products is the screen response is not always 100%. In that respect, this stylus wins. This stylus is the best fingertip replacement I've used. The screen response has been 100%. I've used it for gameplay, ebook page flipping and handwriting applications with no complaints. Of course, this is not for games that require a speedy response.

This stylus has the added benefit of helping you keep your iPad screen smudge free. The fact that it also has a pen tip means it's a 2 in 1 product and eliminates the need for a separate pen. The pen itself looks classy, like a lot of Parker and Cross pens. I do wish there was a way this could be hooked onto an iPad that's not in leather portfolio/binder. That's my only grouse but all in all, this stylus is worth owning for any iPad holder.

Want Targus Executive Stylus and Pen for Apple iPad, iPad 2, iPad 3 and iPad 4th Generation, iPad mini, 1 Discount?

Targus got this pen right! This is a high quality writing instrument. Holding this pen in your hand it feels like an expensive pen. You can refil this pen with Cross Pen refills, so you can always choose what color of ink, and if you want a fine or a regular tipped pen. Flip this pen over and it is a stylus for your ipad. I love this pen, and it has become a fixture in my purse.

I purchased this stylis because of the positive reviews. For me, the stylis tip/pen-cap is too wide to see what I'm trying to select when looking down the barrel. It obstructs the view. And if you like to doodle, forget about it! You basically have to draw blindly because the rubber tip is hidden and the rubber tip is wide so that should tell you something. Also, the point of the pen is too fine for my liking. It's like writing with a needle, which results in unsmooth and jagged handwriting because the tip pricks the paper. I don't find this stylis to be a very practical instrument for touchscreen or handwriting. It's top-heavy for handwriting, and bottom-heavy for touchscreen. It might work for those who will use at an angle, but not for straight up and down users like me.

Compaq iPAQ 3955 Color Pocket PC

Compaq iPAQ 3955 Color Pocket PC
  • Memory is upgradeable via a Secure Digital (SD) card slot
  • Use CompactFlash cards with an optional adapter
  • Secure Digital Card expansion slot
  • Play MP3 music or audio programs from the Web, and record and play back voice or meeting notes
  • Docking cradle, lithium-polymer rechargeable battery, touch-sensitive display, soft keyboard

While most of the reviewers have done a great job of examining the various technical advantages of this amazing little device, I'd like to take a moment just to describe the incomparable beauty of the operating system itself. Long gone are the days when the Pocket PC Operating System was home to a handful of difficult-to-use, technical software hash-togethers; today, a Pocket PC can do everything and anything. Microsoft's original marketing ploy for the device "Can your Palm do this?" (answer: not unless its holding a Pocket PC) rings truer than ever. Some of the things you can do with a Pocket PC:

1) Using a connection to the internet (purchase a Secure Digital wi-fi card and stick it into the iPaq) you can transfer money and check your bank balance, if you bank support online banking. Do it anywhere in the house, or even at Starbucks, using their wi-fi hotspots.

2) You can watch your DVD movies on the airplane on the iPaq using Pocket TV; checkout [the website] for idiot-proof instructions on how to transfer those movies you downloaded...(legal movies, of course ;) into your Pocket PC in no time flat.

3) Play Super Nintendo and Original Nintendo as well as Gameboy games on your Pocket PC. Of course, ROMS are generally illegal. So in reality, you cannot do this. But if you were so inclined, various emulators all of them, except for the SNES, are full speed (and larger than original screen size, in the Gameboy emulator's case) are readily available on the internet. Checkout pocketgamer.org for info on Pocket PC gaming.

4) Use it as a remote control. If you've misplaced the sound system remote again, simply use the iPaq sitting in your pocket.

5) Look at (and edit) your digital camera pictures. If your digital camera uses secure digital cards, it is simply a matter of sliding the card into your iPaq. Otherwise, purchase the extra-slim Silver Slider Expansion Pack for the iPaq (about $50) and then you can insert compact flash cards (a more popular digital camera format) into the iPaq.

6) Get the latest headlines and news briefs from the Internet every morning using Microsoft Plus Sync'n Go (available in MS Plus!: Digital Media Edition, available to purchase and download over the Internet) and watch MSNBC at work or in the bus. No commercials, no advertisement, such a quick rundown of the day's news. Simply dock your Pocket PC in the morning, and you're all set.

7) Play Quake the original, fully 3D version on your Pocket PC. Fully legal to play the demo version on the optimized Pocket Quake engine, available to download for free at pocketmatrix.com

8) Play Tomb Raider, Simcity 2000, and, within months, the complete version of Worms World Party on your device. All are available to purchase and download from trusted online retailers like handango.com

9) Replace all your glove compartment maps with MS Pocket Streets, available for free from MS to download over the Internet. Maps are fully zoomable; streets appear just like on a real map, or just click on any street to identify it. If you are really into, purchase Pocket Copilot, a black plastic sleeve with an antenna that slides onto your iPaq and makes it a full-color, ultra-professional GPS system with audio instructions ("Next intersection, turn right"). Even comes with a suction cup holder so you can attach the GPSed iPaq to your car dashboard.

10) Experience e-Books the way they were meant to be experienced. Countless classics, from Kurt Vonnegut to George Orwell, are available...And anything published in the 1920's and earlier (Hemmingway, anyone?) is copyright-free; in other words, go to goggle and type in the book's title and "Microsoft Reader ebook" along with free, and you're bound to find something. Otherwise, check [online] to find out if your favorite book is available to purchase for MS Reader, Palm Reader, or Adobe Reader (all compatible with Pocket PC, even the second one!)

11) Edit documents with on the fly spell-checking (i.e. underlines mistakes in red as you type) along with synonyms, pictures, headers, tables, etc. using Textmaker, a third party app that is as fully functional as Word in every single way.

12) Forget the dictionary; 8 megabytes or less is enough for virtually any of the various dictionary (and translator) products available for Pocket PC.

13) Play the shareware versions (or full, if you own the originals) of Hexen, Heretic, and Doom, all for free. Open source engines for all three games are available, and easily accessible, on the Internet. Take a peak at pocketgamer.org to find out more.

14) Using Thunderhawk, a third party Internet Browser, you can view websites in 100% full "virtual" resolution. When you type in a site address, the website first goes through Thunderhawk's servers and is transformed into a virtual page that then appears on your Pocket PC. Everything...appears just as it does on your PC, with support for all cookies and proprietary standards. Palm cannot match that it is 100% real web browsing.

...In other words, calling a Pocket PC an organizer is an understatement like no other. This is a PC, with all the advantages of portability, that fits in your pocket. Amazing little gadget if you like technology, you will adore the iPaq.

I've been dying to get a palmtop for the last year to replace my old bulky HP Jourdana. I convinced myself that I would not get one until I could get the perfect package, phone and pocket pc integrated together with high-speed wireless internet, MP3 capability, infrared remote control, all of it. I waited and waited. Unfortunately the first generation of phone/PDAs is out and they all .... I want pocket PC not palm, so I checked out the Verizon Thera, and I actually physically laughed at the Verizon guy when he was showing it to me. For over [$$$] you get a PDA that can be a speakerphone, or you can carry a headset. The screen is awful. Their "high speed" wireless internet is [$$$] a month and no one can seem to get it to go faster than 14.4K. So I decided I definately was not waiting for the next set to come out. I got this Ipaq and kept my cell phone.

I don't like the palms, primarily becuase the graffiti pad is built into the screen; on a pocket pc you can choose between keyboard or a graffiti type recognition system or have the option to use the FULL screen. My girlfriend wanted one so I bought her a color palm m130(she mostly wanted the removable faceplates) and that one is really nice. Palms are definately the better option if you want an organizer, you would like some cool games and programs, and you want to pay less than [$$$} for one. She loves it, but I wanted more.

This Ipaq has the BEST screen. They made it thinner so there is not that annoying gap between the actual screen and where the stylus touches the pad. Makes it easier to use. The audio is very good; use one of those cassette adapters for a car cd player, plug it into this and you have awesome skip free digital quality music to pump. The screen is nice and big and VERY bright. I have the brightness turned about halfway down, and it is still plenty bright enough in all environments. The Battery life is the best of any pocket PC, one of the main advantages to having a palm. This can go all weekend without a charge and I use it constantly. Turning the screen brightness down really helps.

The feature I love the MOST is the consumer infrared port. It RULES. I have a lot of electronics, all the audio goes through a 5.1 reciever, and the video mostly goes directly to my TV (to take advantage of s-video and colorstream). Comcast has a motorola cable box that it is IMPOSSIBLE to get to work with regular universal remotes. This Ipaq can control EVERYTHING. It actually learns the infrared signal from any remote you have, and then you program it yourself to a device, room, and person. You can program MACROS too. I walk in the door, and with one touch this thing turns on my reciever, vcr, cable box, dvd player, and TV, sets the TV to the correct input mode, sets the reciever to the correct input and sound mode, and brings up the cable guide for me, PLUS turns on my air conditioner, sets it on high cool, and turns on my ceiling fan. With another touch it switches both the reciever and TV to DVD mode, changes to digital sound, turns down the brigtness of my TV and I'm ready to watch a movie, with ONE TOUCH. I also have a macro that turns everything off with one touch. My buddes are SO jealous of my home theater now hehe.

The writing recognition is WAY better than Graffiti. It can work with whole sentenes at a time instead of individual letters. It lets me go way faster, and actually makes a decent substitute for jotting notes down on paper. You have to try it to believe it. It's the 'transcriber' option, not the letter recognition. It recognizes printing, cursive, or a mixture of both; and you write across the whole screen instead of a little pad like Palm.

All in all I love this thing and I don't regret buying it at all. It is expensive, so if you are looking to save some money, go to maybe a Toshiba or a Palm. My stragegy is to own this for a year or so, by that time hopefully someone will create a viable phone/PDA hybrid, and then sell this one to buy the hybrid. Either that or just keep it as my universal remote control haha.

Here's what I DON'T like about it. Mostly the physical shape of the thing. My gf's palm is more contoured to the hand and lighter, it is much easier to hold. The main thing is that on hers, you detach the faceplate and fit a screen protector right there; if you want a screen protector for this Ipaq you have to get a special bulky case and increase the weight and size. I'm finding that hard to live with. My gf's palm also has a built in black plastic screen cover (cover, not stick on-protector like I was talking about) that flips UP. That is important because you hold it on one side with your hand. This comes with a really ... plastic case that opens to the side, and it is very inconvenient. I'm going to shop for cases, but with the palm you don't need one at all.

Another thing I don't like is that to get wireless internet or add more memory than the one slot, you need those bulky sleeves. However, since I kept my phone I use the internet on that and I will not need any of those sleeves unless I choose to go ahead and get a GPS add on (which I am going to do) In that case, the GPS will just stay in the car.

ALl in all, this thing is the best buy if you are willing to spend the money to have the BEST palmtop pc. I could not be more happy with it.

I was a bit hesitant about spending another [price] on yet another iPAQ. Not that I disliked my previous two (I've owned the 3600 and the 3800 series), but ten seconds after I turned the unit on (3955) I was glad I did! The iPAQ 3955 works so well I have renewed confidence in the "New HP" as Compaq has merged with HP. I must admit I was a bit skeptical when the merger was announce about the future of the iPAQ, but this first model since the merger has dispelled any concerns I previously held (Although the unit and all materials are still branded COMPAQ). The Consumer IP port is exceptional, it easily relaced my Phillips Pronto 2000 Universal remote, (with color to boot!) I've even downloaded a Voice activated Universal remote version for even easier use! The remote function alone is worth about [price]! The most striking feature is definately the display. Wow! When I compared the 3800 and the 3900 on each screen with identical files, I was amazed! The colors are vivid, crisp, great contrast, depth of color and is truely superior. Videos look amazing and sound incredible due in part to the Bass and Treble controls. The speaker is clear and for MP3's the headphone jack makes the unit sound unmatched. The iPAQ's popularity makes the availability of software vast, although there is currently limited software that takes advantage of the new processor speed (twice that of the earlier models). Be warned: Nexian is still having compatability issues with the 3900 series, so your Digital Camera expansion pack won't work yet. Nexian hopes to have this fixed soon. All other accessories are compatible from the 3800 series to the 3900 series, and most all others for the 3600 series work as well (Except for cradles and other cables.) The unit has performed well to date with none of the quirks or bugs from the 3800 series. (LED issues, static with speaker, unit auto-turning on/off, unit requiring frequent soft resets, color resolution, contrast settings, etc.) As a previous owner of the iPAQ 3635, iPAQ 3835, and now the iPAQ 3955 (all purchased from Amazon.com), I can recommend the new iPAQ 3955 with overwhelming support! P.S. I was able to sell my previous units at about 80% of their original price on Amazon Marketplace, so again the investment in the iPAQ is well worth it, the depreciation is low since demand is high! I would highly recommend all you 3600 and 3800 users out there to trade up and sell your older units to those just beginning to get their feet wet with PDA's. The older units are fantastic for High School or College students, make great gifts for graduation, and the newer units (3900 series) are essential for PDA junkies/technophiles who demand cutting edge technology!

Well, for those wondering between a 3800 and a 3900... get the 3900. If for nothing else, battery life. Granted, my comparison is from the 3600 series, my first, but all I have heard is this thing even blows the 38xx in terms of battery life. I know that I found the battery life *PITIFUL* for the 3600... I couldn't even use it all i wanted to in one day without it warning me it was running out. This thing I have on for like 3 days and it's still got like 73% battery life left (or more if I have used it less).

The accuracy of where you tap the screen also does seem to be better.

And it synchronizes with the computer better, or rather less problems getting the two to recognize they are connected (I've only once had the problem with this one, after I disconnected it while it was trying to connect, and I've actually done that a few times and it has no problems, just one time too many this time). The 3600 I had all the time would have problems recognizing it was attached.

Also, this one seems a whole lot more durable too (durability is very good in a handheld device). Haven't given it too many major falls but it has had some falls and it still works fine. The other one had a foot fall out of my purse (I didn't notice it was open) and stopped working (at which point I never bothered to get the 3600 working again... battery life itself made it kinda pointless except as a toy. This one's battery life is so good I've come to really rely on it).

Another really nice feature is the fact that you can set the battery conservation time. That means you can set it to turn off and stay off til it is recharged anywhere from a 24 hour safe period (meaning that for 24 hours after it hits that point it won't lose your data) to like three days or something like that. This way you can squeeze more power out of the battery if you want to use it longer (but know you are going to be able to get to a recharger relatively soon), or make sure there is plenty of time left to get to a recharger but have less time to use it. It's a very important feature when you realize that once the battery runs out of charge your data goes kaput (and the fact that the min they allow you to run still keeps your data for 24 hours is nice, and that still gives you a whole lot of usage time out of the PDA).

One of the few bad things I can think about it is it doesn't seem that much faster than the 3600 that I can remember. But personally give me same speed and much better battery life over faster and "bad" battery life.

A large minus to the 3900 (and any Ipaq so far) is the fact you still cannot replace the battery without sending it to Compaq (well, I know that will change, they have kits now you can buy to replace the battery in the 36xx, even one that has a much longer battery life battery). But the point is having a battery that you supposedly have to get Compaq to replace when it dies is a *large* minus. I mean come on, you pay 600 dollars for it, and they treat it like something that is disposable once the battery dies. This is something I thought Compaq should be slapped for when I got the 3600 and I am very disappointed they are still doing it this way.

Oh, and I'm not sure if the 3800 had one, but the 36 series didn't, and I'm glad Compaq finally got the sense to put in some sort of "floppy drive" so to speak (the SD slot). Would have rather had flash but better than nothing. I once heard some one say that the whole point of not having a slot was so that you could pick whether you wanted it to be thick or not.. but the ones that had it integrated didn't seem all that thicker and having a sleeve on the ipaq did make it *much* thicker. Nice to have an integrated removable data slot (and hardly noticeably thicker).

I am very statisfied with my new iPAQ 3955. I would give it five stars but...

It was necessary to do a return/replacement with the first unit I received due to a bad "frozen" pixel on the screen. With Amazon's excellent return/replacement policies this was a relatively painless process and the replacement unit was perfect with no problems whatsoever.

Out of curiosity while I was out Christmas shopping, I checked several iPAQ 3955 units on display at a local retailer and discovered that 2 of the 3 units on display had bad pixels. I also noted that several of the Amazon customer reviews indicate a pixel problem. Apparently, this is a problem with the 3900 series otherwise it is an excellent product with a lot of great features at a fairly reasonable price.

Just be sure to check for bad pixels.

REALOOK Cowon V5 Screen Protector, Crystal Clear 2-PK

REALOOK Cowon V5 Screen Protector, Crystal Clear 2-PK
  • Perfect Fit on your Cowon V5 LCD screen
  • Crystal Clear and Color Brilliant
  • Superior Scratch Protection
  • Bubble Free Easy Installation
  • Complete Installation Accessories and Manual

Can not agree with the other poster on this product it was your placement I did that with another brand on a touch screen and blamed product (they shipped another one to me). I was mistaken I got a tiny bit of one of the corners between the plastic protector and the mp3 case edge making the unit unresponsive. I myself just bought the cowon v5 and bought this exact same protector and it works great and I love how ridgid it is (great protection for screen) and how clear it stays as if it was not even there. My touch screen is just as responsive as if it was not there I tried touch screen with and without the screen protector. Thankfully We get Two for this awesome price because like others I messed up the first one it was going slightly crooked at the very end and I would have had to jam it under the casing to get it to fit (most likely what the other user did) and of course I got finger prints when I pulled it back up (my fault entirely). I just bought another one because I saw there were only 3 left becuase I love this product it's even better than the Lexerd brand (they are good too) but they are not as thick and you pay 10$ for only one plus 5$ shipping they too are crystal clear but hey this one is a better product (thicker means better protection) and two for 5$ less a win win.

Buy REALOOK Cowon V5 Screen Protector, Crystal Clear 2-PK Now

The screen protector does it's job to well. While protecting my Cowon V5 screen it also disables the touch buttons due to the rigidity of the screen protector. Waste of my time.

Blackberry A2DP Stereo BT Music Gateway

Blackberry A2DP Stereo BT Music GatewayThis works great with my iPhone. It's smaller than it looks in the picture -only about 1.5" square.

iPhone found it flawlessly, entered super-secret pin of 0000 and the music starts playing through my speakers.

It draws power from a mini-USB plug, and the cable isn't included, so make sure you've got one lying around.

After a month or so of use in my car this product began working intermittently and cutting out. Very annoying. It worked great when it worked but I cannot suggest it. Maybe I got a bad one but my experience was not great.

Sits in my Chevy Avalanche and adds Bluetooth stereo to a vehicle that doesn't have that capability. The Avalanche only has BT for voice. All you need is an input jack into the car stereo. Works with my iPhone perfectly. Requires a car lighter adapter with USB mini output.

This has truly been a "set and forget" device for me. My Blackberry Gateway is small enough it tucks discretely into my center console, where there is also a 12v power port.

1. The Blackberry Gateway must be powered (no battery), and my 12v port is switched to the car's ignition switch. Through a Powerjolt Dual USB 12v Adapter and a plain USB to USB Micro cable, the Blackberry Gateway powers up when I start the car, and turns off when I put the keys in my pocket. A few extra bucks to spend, but a very compact mobile solution.

2. My car's stereo has a 1/8" headphone port near the center console -the same port I was previously plugging my Blackberry Storm 2 directly into when I wanted to play audio through the stereo.

I mention these previous two items because, if you intend to use this in your vehicle, you'll need to make sure you've got power and an audio port accessible in order to use the Gateway device.

Pairing with my phone was a non-issue. My phone pairs to the Gateway every time I start the car. When I start up Pandora, the switchover to the car's stereo via the Gateway is automatic every time. When I receive a call on my Jabra visor-mounted speaker phone, the phone correctly switches over until I complete the call, then resumes playing music over the Gateway.

My only problem thus far is with the Jabra, which shows up as an "Audio Sink" (audio sync?) on my BlackBerry's device properties list. "Audio Sink" is also how the Blackberry Gateway is listed. There have been times when Pandora plays over the Jabra speakerphone instead of via the Blackberry Gateway. The best scenario I can come up with is I have to power up the Jabra first to cause this scenario to happen.

To correct this problem, it's a matter of making sure I start the car before powering up the speaker phone (starting the car powers up the BlackBerry Gateway). In daily use, this hasn't been a problem. Another solution would be to find a speakerphone that doesn't list itself as a "Audio Sink." (FWIW, the Jabra also lists itself as "Handsfree," "Headset," and "A/V Remote Control.") I talked to Jabra about this, and they said there's no way to disable the "Audio Sink" function of their speakerphone.

Also worth noting that v1.0 of Tune In radio *does not* work with this device to play over my car's stereo. I've been through all the menu settings. I'm not completely positive, but it appears that this is a problem with Tune In not looking for the "Audio Sync" device -it plays fine over my Jabra.

Given these shortcomings, neither of which is the fault of the Blackberry Gateway, I've got no problems to complain of with the device itself. Audio quality is good, pairing is very quick and automatic, and the device is small enough to be tucked away just about any place you could hide a book of matches. In my case, I haven't touched my Gateway since installing it, with the exception of reorganizing my center console.

I enejoyed this product, it synced right away with my 8350i. Goes about 35ft and music still played great. I got this product to hear music on my home theater that was on my phone. It's works way better then what i expected for the price, i would deffenently recommed this!

PalmOne Zire 31 Handheld

PalmOne Zire 31 Handheld
  • Standard mini-USB connector
  • Comes with Palm Desktop Software for Windows and Mac and Software Essencials CD
  • 160x160 color display with contrast and brightness controls supports thousands of colors
  • 200 MHz Intel ARM-based processor, Palm OS v5.2.8, 16 MB RAM (14 MB actual storage)
  • Expansion slot supports MMC, SD, and SDIO memory cards

I purchased the Palm Zire 31 a couple of weeks ago and so far I love it. I installed the software and had my palm up and running in less then 30 minutes. The CD that is included with the palm allows you to install optional software. When my old Palm M130 died a few months ago I started looking at all of the different handhelds that are on the Market. I ended up purchasing an expensive HP IPAQ due to the fact that it came with a Windows based operating system. I had nothing but problems. I finally decided to go back to Palm. After using the IPAQ for several months I realized that I did not need all of the fancy features that came with it (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc). I need a basic handheld that would allow me to calendar important dates and store information such as addresses, phone numbers, etc. I also wanted one that could store pictures and games and other miscellaneous programs. I originally wanted the Palm Tungsten E but after reading tons of negative reviews on several different websites I quickly changed my mind. So far my palm is working like a charm. I have installed tons of games and programs and I have not had any problems. One thing that I would highly recommend is purchasing a back up program online (I like www.palmgear.com). My palm automatically backs up all of the info on my palm to my SD card every time I sync it. To eliminate the stress of having a faulty palm I would also recommend purchasing the extended 2 year warranty if it is available. I purchased it for an extra $19 and if anything goes wrong with my palm they will replace it with a new one.

The screen is only 160x160 but I am not going to be watching movies or playing high resolution games on my palm. The pictures look descent but I only attach pictures to the phone numbers in my address book. I only play basic games like card games and board games and as far as I can tell, they look fine. The only thing that I don't like about this palm (and the reason I gave it 4 stars) is that the plugs for the sync cable and charging cable are on the side of the palm and not the bottom like on all other palms. Also, the flap that they give you to protect the screen is very flimsy. I use it to protect the screen while it is in my purse but I plan on buying a protective case. Other then that, the Palm Zire 31 definitely suites it purpose.

If you are looking for a basic handheld that is inexpensive and will help you stay organized, the Zire 31 is perfect. On the other hand if you are looking for a handheld with Wi-Fi capability or Blue tooth or if you plan to play high resolution games or watch movies then you might want to look at the higher models (or maybe even consider a high end Dell or IPAQ).

I just picked up a Zire 31 yesterday, and already I'm finding that it's is a pretty nifty piece of equipment. Granted, I did very little comparison shopping before I bought this PDA, but for something that costs half as much as the next comparable model, I couldn't be happier. The user interface is great. The color is great. The sound is great. I guess that the hardcore of the PDA world will complain about the reduced number of buttons, or the 160 x 160 resolution, but I'm a guy who just needs to keep track of appointments and phone numbers, not run my own personal video arcade. A very versatile tool, and unlike 90% of the PDAs out there, something that I can reccomend to my cheapskate friends. Go for it!!

Read Best Reviews of PalmOne Zire 31 Handheld Here

Ok, this is my first PDA...so i dont know very much about it. But if youre in the same boat, then read on.

I searched and searched...looked at the Zire 21, Sony Clie TJ-27, and every other PDA in this price range.

And then i came across an amazing deal: a Zire 31 for $142...

wow, what a bargain. This PDA does everything i want, and MORE. Not only can i keep track of all my contacts, etc etc...i can view photos (and put them in the background)...

it comes with two e-books...Last of the Mohicans and The Wizard of Oz...

it comes with a really cool Database system that has area codes all over the U.S., airline phone #s, Hotels, dietary info for a whole bunch of foods and drinks...

it comes with solitaire...and an Expenses program to keep track of credit card and bank account balances...

there's an MP3 player included, which i havent used (because you need to purchase an SD memory card separately...and because i just dont want to drain the batteries for that...i mean, for the same price as an SD card, i can just buy a Sony Minidisc player that runs on one AA battery, and save my PDA battery -which isnt user replaceable, so only has a certain life-span).

Hot syncing...where you transfer info from your computer to the PDA and vice versa is incredibly easy. Just touch the button on the screen, and tada! magic. Done.

This PDA gets a 4 out of 5 for one reason and one reason only: the screen. 160x160 isnt bad resolution...but it isnt good either. I mean, it's just fine for me, because im not using it too much, and im not serious about viewing pictures and stuff like that. However, i often find myself playing around with the brightness, contrast, backgrounds, and color to find something that's easy and beautiful on the eyes. It takes a while, but youll find a setting that makes you happy.

If youre a beginner, get the Zire 31. A big step up from the Zire 21...and better than the Sony Clie TJ-27 in terms of price and practicality...i mean -who wants a real crappy digital camera anyways? Dont bother with it...if you want digital pictures, get yourself a real digital camera (i.e. Canon Powershot A75).

One last thing -i almost forgot --... dont listen to people babbling on about the 90 day warranty. As long as you get this PDA from a self-respecting retail store, youll automatically get a one-year warranty from them. And you can purchase an extended warranty for about $20 or so. For something this cheap, they'll most likely replace your PDA right away if there's a serious problem. Check with them first.

Want PalmOne Zire 31 Handheld Discount?

If you're looking to replace your bulky Day Planner with a pocket sized handheld, the Zire 31 is definately the way to go. Spend the extra $50 to get the 31 rather than the Black and White 21. The only real difference is color, but on a small screen, you need it.

Palm handhelds are all extremely user friendly. Turn it on and you'll find the layout very intuitive and easy to use. There is no learning curve on a Palm (unlike a Pocket PC). This is a good gift for anyone who says, "computers are too hard" but needs help getting organized.

If this is your first handheld, the screen size and resolution aren't an issue. If you've never used a better screen, you don't know what you're missing. Don't go looking for something to make you feel bad. Also, if this is your first handheld, why spend extra money on a more expensive model before you know if you'll ever use it or not? If you get it and hate it, you're not out much money. If you get it and love it, Palm has a trade-in program which will get you a discount off your next purchase.

That said, if you have fantasies about gaming on your Palm, this is not the one to buy. Try the Tungsten E (currently running around $200.) If you want to replace a dayplanner, this is a perfect choice.

The Zire 31 itself is a very basic device. You have an (outlook compatible) calander, an (outlook compatible) address book, and an (outlook compatible) task list as the core features. These are a great help in getting you organized. The programs are a breeze to use again, no learning curve. People who are terrified of computers should find this very learnable. Those used to computers will wonder why everything isn't this user friendly.

If you want to do more than organize your life, you can get a ton of additional Zire compatible software through PalmOne.com or a variety of third party sources. These run the gamut, including old school game classics like Ultima I and II, Fittness and Diet tracking programs with diagrams of muscle groups, and checkbook balancing programs, plus tons more. I highly recommend the fun and addictive "Bubblet."

I never bothered with the graffiti pad, instead using the optional onscreen keyboard. You can peck words out with your stylus without having to relearn handwriting.

Once you get used to using a handheld, you won't want to lose your data. BUY A HARD CASE. I can not emphasize this enough.

My Zire died in the first 2 months due to a swift impact on the touch screen. This is a problem with ALL handhelds, whether Palm or PPC based. Get a metal hard case (no leather, it's not strong enough) and rest easy if it gets dropped. Some people are very careful, but then there's the rest of us. Look through the case reviews and you'll find plenty of people bemoaning losing thier 5th handheld in 3 years. Save yourself the misery at the beginning, by buying a hard case with your Zire.

Purchasing a PDA/Smartphone/Camera/etc. can be a daunting task. There are too many choices on the market, and too many confusing reviews. I am thrilled with my Zire 31, because it does everthing I need, and not too much more. If you are considering this PDA, don't be put off by the many reviews that claim it is right for novices or technophobes. In fact, I believe it is perfect for the serious business user, because it does what most professionals need.

Firstly, it is light and compact. So no problems to take it with you to each and every meeting (my former iPaq always seemed bulky). Secondly, it syncs perfectly with Outlook (and with OS X, too, which means I can finally sync my work PC with my home Macs). The color quality is good enough for showing a few pictures of the kids. It is the perfect tool for managing a busy work and home schedule. My only complaint is the MP3 player. I wish they wouldn't have included one. Who needs it? The unit could have been even smaller without, no doubt!

More positives include the lack of a camera. Why would someone especially a busy profesional want to take pictures with a PDA? I already have a digital camera, and I take it with me on trips if I want to capture a few moments. And the quality is excellent.

Fortunately, the Zire 31 also lacks bluetooth and wi-fi capability. I carry my laptop with me everywhere. Who wants to surf the web on a handheld, other than a masochist? Crazy. This might sound like a must for a busy executive, but from my experience, your laptop is the way to go mobile over the internet. I never travel without my laptop, which has both wifi and bluetooth. So problem solved.

Another advantage is lack of phone functionality. My advice: buy a proper mobile phone. Most combination PDA/phones look terrible. The Treo is a good example: it's too bulky (although sleeker than most), and in the end you get an expensive PDA with too many features and a so-so phone. And you can never leave the "phone" or the "PDA" at home. You are stuck with both of them. It's not a feature, it's an inconvenience.

Some people have discussed the poor video quality when playing games and watching videos. Hello? You are a busy executive and you want to play Doom on your PDA? Give me a break. And don't get me started about people who try to watch videos on their handhelds. Crazy.

If you are looking for something to help organize your life, the Zire 31 is what you are looking for. Use your laptop for emails and surfing the web on the run. Use your mobile phone to call someone. Use a proper digital camera to take pictures. And get an iPod if you want to listen to music. You won't be carrying all of these devices around all the time, believe me. But you'll have quality devices that do what they should, and not much more. The Zire 31 is part of this strategy. Very good at what it does, and thankfully it doesn't do too much more.

You can't go wrong with this handheld, and don't believe anyone that says it isn't a serious business tool because it lacks wi-fi or the ability to take poor quality pictures or watch dvd's on a 2x2 inch screen.

JAVOedge Strawberry Jeans Book Case for the Barnes & Noble Nook Color / Nook Tablet - Latest Generat

JAVOedge Strawberry Jeans Book Case for the Barnes & Noble Nook Color / Nook Tablet - Latest Generation
  • Specifically made for Barnes & Noble Nook Color & Nook Tablet
  • Built-in frame offers a snug and secure fit to keep it from accidentally slipping out
  • Soft interior protects the screen without scratching it
  • Case design offers complete access to all of the device features
  • Pockets lined in the interior offers storage room for essential on-the-go documents

I would have given it 5 stars if it would been tight enough to hold the Nook Color in place. If you turn it upside down it falls out easily. I had to cut a thin piece of foam to keep it secure, which makes the product cheap looking. I have another JAVOedge from my 1st Edition and it was perfect, that is why I bought this one. I am disappointed in this product and will look for a different brand.

Plugged it in, put the back cover back on, fired it up holding down the D key to run the memory test. Memory test ran OK. Restarted.

"About This Mac" shows "Memory 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3."

Note: After removing 10 screws, the back cover remains retained by two plastic clips near the center. Pry it up gently and it pops off.

I just purchased a new 2011 base model Mac Mini with 2GB of memory. Instead of paying Apple the $300 they want to upgrade the memory to 8GB I searched Amazon and found this option for one fifth the price. I'm not a "tech guy" but removing the two 1GB cards that came installed in the Mac and replacing them with these two 4GB was easily completed in less than five minutes. Everything is running smoothly with no problems to date.

I have installed thousands (I am not joking, 2000+) of Corsair memory modules and I have run into only two incidents that needed replacement. I have installed dozens of these 8GB modules in recent months as prices started to drop to a level where there is no reason to consider 4GB x 2 or 4GB x 4 anymore.

When I needed replacement (non so far on the 8GB modules) on the other Corsair memory modules, the service was prompt either over the phone or over web.

One caution: If you have iMacs and you are installing the RAM, be sure to use a solid object (not your fingers) to push the ram module evenly and firmly into the memory slot. This applies to ALL brands. A slip of finger or finger nail could easily dislodge soldered components that are near the edge of the printed-circult board.

Installation was a cinch into my early 2011 MBP and all 16GB was detected correctly and working. After reading so many bad reviews of other vendor 2x8Gb packages I ran several memory tests to make sure mine were working fine (test run on each SoDIMM individually and as a pair). No errors reported in Tech Tool Pro, rember, and single user mode memtest. Each test ran three times on each configuration without error.

I'd say that they are working pretty well. ;)

Next up is a Win 7 laptop but I expect that it will also work out perfectly.
