I really like retractable cords when I travel. Assuming they are all alike, I bought a chinzy one. It didn't even make it to my suitcase before it broke. The Gomadic feels strong and reliable. I am very pleased with this case. It holds my Droid razr maxx very securely while still allowing access to side controls. The workmanship is very good. It has 3 slots for credit cards not 2 as advertised. Actually i put 2 in the top slot which makes 4 cards total. I was concerned about credit cards scratching screen but that has not been a problem. I actually beveled the edge of my cards using sand paper just to take the edge off but that probably isn't neccessary. I would have preferred a small hole in the leather in the front to see the green notification light, but other than that i an very pleased with the quality of this case. I use it a my wallet and just carry my drivers license and a couple credit cards

My old battery was going fast, wouldn't hold a charge very well so I got this for a replacement. It's a last ditch effort to extend the life of an obsolete product. The iPAQ was a versatile instrument, PDA, multimedia display unit, and an integrated GPS. Too bad they pulled the support. The battery doesn't hold it's charge as well as the OEM battery. It's just serviceable. I've had to swap it out with the old one many times to make some use of it untethered to the charging cable.

It was cheap feeling. It is almost flexible as though it would break if you are not careful. A good stylus should not flex it should have strength in it and durable.

I understand that this product was not expensive however ...I would have expected this product to have lasted atleast a few months and they didnt and I purchased 2. I purchased them in August and they were both gone before September.

On the original stylus, the tip is pressed in and made of a different material. After lots of use, the shaft splits open. That is where it always broke.

Convenient little package of bands. They arrive just like the picture shows, and are pretty good quality. I haven't used the heaviest one, but the other 4 seem to be in very good working order and at no risk to snap. I'm writing this review from all the way across the room with this fangled wireless Keyboard/Mouse setup from "Genius." So far I have to say I'm impressed. The range is obviously very good, with absolutely no errors in keystrokes. You hit the button, it shows up on the screen. No lag or missing keystrokes. As far as the quality of the keyboard goes, that's also impressive. It is lighweight, but sturdy, silent, good bounce back. I'm a pretty fast typist and actually find myself going even faster with this keyboard than my allegedly fancier one from Gateway. It feels good to the touch.

The mouse is also nice. A good size that would fit any normal sized hand perfect. Clicks are firm and tight, stroller button works like a charm. There is an off switch on the mouse so as to not waste battery. There is not an off switch on the keyboard, I don't know if that's because keyboards don't waste batteries or simply because they didn't feel like adding one. If somebody knows the answer, maybe they could leave a comment? The mouse requires 2 AAA and the Keyboard 1 AAA. The batteries are included.

To get the wireless working you simply have to plug in a handy USB signal reader thing into a free USB slot. There's no software to download or install. After about 5 seconds the keyboard and mouse will start working. If they do not start working, remember to turn the mouse to the "on" position.

So overall, I'm a fan. I can't really comment on how long these guys are going to last (I've only been using them a few weeks but will update my review if they suddenly crash), and although I like the feel of them, they do seem to be fairly cheaply made. Anyway, for under $30, it's a hard deal to beat. I looked for something to critique everywhere I could and so far haven't encountered anything. As always, my reviews will be updated if I discover some sinister flaw I overlooked.

I have had this keyboard/mouse for a little over two weeks and although I like the easy set-up and size, it was advertised as having laser printing on the keys that would stand up to heavy use. This unfortunately is not true. My letters are fading fast and blending into the black keys. This is one of the main reasons I purchased it. For the price it is not worth sending back, but I will buy a different brand and keep this one as a backup. Very disappointed!!!!!!

Well I had to think about the rating for this cause I couldn't use it right now. I bought and still own three computers in the last 10 years, all of them desktop units. The first was a Windows 98 based Dell Pentium 4, the second an XP based Dell XPS, and the current machine a Windows 7 based Dell Alienware machine. I have a very expensive gaming keyboard, with a built in color mini screen, lots of special macros and control keys. This keyboard and mouse worked fine on it, and I was surprised that the mouse was efficient enough to play Starcraft 2 without latency in movement. Unfortunately, it can't replace my gaming rig. The second machine died, and many attempt to revive it fully have failed, so I've decommissioned it. Surprisingly the first computer still works, but it's Windows 98 and is not supported by the keyboard and mouse duo.

Still Win98 is old and I can't fault a new product for not supporting it. The price on these is amazing for what you get, and the 2.4 GHz is great to combat interferance problems. I had and still work with an old Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse at work. It loses signal periodically, and once when in the test lab they were testing a number of telematic devices, every time they tranmitted, the reciever module would search for a new mouse and keyboard signal, what a pain. This doesn't happen with this duo, I'm definately going to keep it around for when I use a laptop. I hate those scratch pad mice, and a good feel keyboard is nice too, especially if you use a dock.

This keyboard is so sleek and small, yet it is full-sized and the keys are well laid out. The mouse is very comfortable. The 2.4GHz receiver works from anywhere in my house. Previous wireless keyboards that I have had barely work at 5 feet, let alone in the front yard or upstairs. I have had it on for 3 months straight and the batteries are still going so it is power efficient and must have some sort of built in sleep mode for conserving battery life when you aren't using it.

The Genius wireless/keyboard set is a good compromise between utility, quality and price. Anyone who seeks simplicity and and a space/saving quality keyboard/mouse combo should be happy with the "SlimStar 8000" and I will explain why below.

FEATURES THAT I LIKE

Space saving while still a near 'full size' keyboard is the main positive. At 16" by 4.5" and only about half an inch thick the keyboard leaves room for everything else on your desk and, being wireless, can be easily moved out of the way if needed. The keys are large enough to allow for comfortable typing.

Keyboard is actually good. I'm a fast touch typist and I found myself fast touch-typing away on this keyboard within minutes. I actually like its feel.

Sensitive 1200 dpi mouse. There's nothing special about the mouse: 2 buttons and the clickable scroll wheel other than it's extremely responsive and precise.

Ease of installation, batteries included. Once the (included) 3 AAA batteries are in place, 1 for keyboard, 2 for mouse and the USB receiver is plugged into your desktop/laptop USB port you are ready to go. All works perfectly, or it does on my Windows 7 laptop.

Clever design. As one who's spilled his fair share of coffee on his various keyboards I appreciate the 8 (counted them) water drill holes on the base that would at least partially mitigate such disasters.

Price, of course. It's quite a deal for a good keyboard/mouse combo.

THINGS NOT EVERYONE MAY LIKE

Mouse is small. 2" wide by 4" long, it works best if operated with small hands. I can still use it but an 8-10 yr. old should find this mouse ideal.

It's not clear whether the mouse on/off switch should be used to preserve battery life. I don't know for how long the battery in this mouse is going to last but, if it doesn't last 'for months' I will come back to this review and report my findings. For comparison sake I've been using a wireless Logitech mouse for more than six months now and it's still with the original battery.

Receiver is not 'nano' size. At almost 1" long, some laptop users may not something that long coming out of an USB port. Of course, not a problem if used with a desktop.

Narrow function keys. The upper row which includes Esc, the Fxx keys, PrtScr, Scroll, Pause and the speaker volume buttons are half size. Depending on how often you need to press F5 or F11 this may or may not be an issue.

MY RATING

I hesitated between 4 and 5 stars, with 5 stars meaning "I love it" because this is not a perfect product. But, the negatives listed above notwithstanding, it turns out that I actually love the "SlimStar 8000" (quite a name for a cheap keyboard). At this time I'm debating with myself whether I'm going to take it to my office or give it to our 8 yr. girl to use with her desktop. In the end... it's going to be her decision :).

Answering the question: knowing what I know today, would I buy the SlimStar 8000 if I needed a good wireless/mouse keyboard combo and price was a factor? The answer is yes so, 5 stars it is. A future downgrade is possible if battery life is not up to expectations.

I put this case on and have yet to take it off. I love how it stands on its side, it makes it very easy to see from a distance (great for videos.) only complaint is that the edges where it bends are starting to peel but it's been a year of heavy use and it is unnoticeable.

Believe it or not the "usb sync and charge" cables will NOT charge your axim! I found this out the hard way, by buying a couple ("sync and charge") cables thinking that there must have been a problem with the one I bought. Later, I found out that the electrical current pull required to charge the axim exceeds the USB current rating available from a typical USB port... so you must have a plug-in charger.

I bought this product because the dell sync cradle was just too bulky to stash in my travel bag...(and the sync calbles did not charge)... but with this charger (plus the sync cable) its a compact package when travelling.

I have been using a Logitech G10 which replaced an older Microsoft media keyboard for a while, and although it's a nice keyboard and I'm a big gamer, it's just hard to use for anything but games. I took this opportunity to purchase a wireless keyboard and chose a Microsoft one as they have always been easy to use and reliable. I grabbed this one as it is one of the newer models and it has a somewhat slim and simple design.

After using it for a while I wish I had bought this earlier. Typing is smooth and having the convenience of wireless is great. As mentioned, I am a gamer so I was concerned about latency with the keyboard, but after running all types of games I haven't noticed one issue at all.

I purchased this keyboard for my new set up at my house and it was working great, despite the 'G' key. Every time I would press the 'G' key it would output a 'B' as well. I contacted the seller and they were not very helpful about the return due to their policy. To have returned it through them would have been more hassle than helpful. So in turn I contacted Microsoft to discuss the malfunction, by this time other keys had just stopped working all together, and they informed me that this is a package piece that only comes with a mouse. This seller(Galactics) or any other seller offering this keyboard alone is purchasing this product splitting them and selling them, due to the way they store the products until they ship them I believe this and being shipped outside of the original package loosely placed in another box caused the issues. I received a replacement from Microsoft, who generously sent me the original business 2000 package with mouse, which now it works amazingly!! The keyboard and mouse that come with this package are amazing quality, just insure if you receive them they are in original packaging and not tampered with.

A very nice full sized keyboard. Has a nice palm rest at the bottom and works great. I don't use all of the extra keys on top for I have no real use for them. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good full sized wireless keyboard.

I agree with all that others have written about the keyboard (See Microsoft wireless desktop 2000 keyboard). However, be aware that the wireless tranceiver for the bare keyboard will tell your computer that it is also controlling a pointing device. Which means you have a phantom mouse. If your touchpad is set to shut off when another pointing device is detected, you'll be mouseless. And, you'll use two USB ports if you want a mouse and this keyboard. (I don't know what happens if you have a Model 2000 mouse, mine is a Model 3500.

I got a powered USB Hub to get around the problem of not enough ports. (I use the keyboard with a wired USB Marble Mouse and larger monitor, when going portable I either use my Model 3500 wireless mouse, or the touchpad.)

I read and summarize a lot of material professionally, and needed a tool to help me quickly excerpt material. The Worldpen scan cost a bit more than the other pen scanners, but once you use the Worldpen scan you will know the extra cost was worthwhile. I am a level 2 nursing student who needs a quick way to transfer text to files such as powerpoint and word documents. The Worldpen scan will recognize technical text and symbols such a mg/dl, 3.3L/min/m2, difficult pharmacological generic names and so on, at a very quick rate of scan. I can scan an entire page of medical text in several minutes. The text is instantly transfer to M.S. word document where it can be edited. I use a separate, non related, program to convert the visual text to audio, Ipod, or mp3, and I have an Ipod ready file to listen to. It is a great way to listen to and absorb needed information while skiing, driving, jogging, or anywhere you take your Ipod or mp3 player and need to study. The Worldpen driver installation is quick, straight forward, and very easy to use right out of the box.The pen ergonomics are user friendly,well thought out, great for smaller hands like mine, compact, and power is drawn from the usb drive. I bought this because I like to enter in text from textbooks that I highlight so I can use them for research papers later on. Previously I would type these in but after awhile I really get tired of typing and start making mistakes, sometimes my fingers don't seem to work anymore in terms of speed and accuracy. Maybe it's because I'm getting old, I don't know. So after a lot of research, I went for this product which also has Mac support (definitely a requirement since I use a Macbook). Previously I never had a pen scanner so I can't really compare scanners. But I can say that this pen scanner is very fast in terms of how quickly you can slide the scanner over the line. It's very accurate as well. The only time I noticed that I got errors was because how the paper curves at the binding on books, but if you put the book as flat as possible and just be careful as you approach the curve you can increase accuracy. If you take the cost (plus rebate) into account it's a great deal compared to other pen scanners.

PROS:

-pen is light

-great speed and accuracy

-scan text in both directions (even though the software says one direction)

CONS:

-kinda feels cheap for a $100 product

-the "on" trigger should have been a roller type of button so it would move more smoothly across the paper

-hard to tell where the beginning point of the scan is

-the "triangle" pointer on the plastic that you are supposed to line up your text with is kind of hard to see, but you get used to it

-errors can happen where the pages curve into the binding

Update 7/3/2012:

I've been using this pen scanner extensively for school. As I mentioned, it's not fully compatible with Word for Mac. In fact, it's very frustrating using it with Word for Mac than it is worth. So what I do is just use Pages, then I copy and paste into Word which works better. When I use Pages, the scans are a lot more accurate. The pen works extremely well. From time to time, I'll get a random number instead of the text I scanned, but usually the 2nd time scanning the line will solve it. But it happens far, far less frequently than with Word. It's less stressful and aggravating compared to using Word. I'm going to downgrade it 1 star because I think it should work just as well in Word.

Update 7/11/2012:

I've been slowly downgrading my rating for this device. It started with 5 stars, now I am giving it 3. The reason why is because there are times when I scan a line and it gives me gibberish. It has nothing to do with my scanning technique, ie. how straight I move the pen scanner or the speed, because there are times when my pen motion is not smooth, crooked, very fast or very slow and it scans in text perfectly. When gibberish starts coming out, sometimes I have to scan the line 5 or 6 times just for it to scan the text, by then it would have been quicker for me to manually type it in. Not sure if this is an issue with Mac, but I've used the built in mac word processing like TextEdit with the same results as Pages. When it works, it's great, but when it gets stuck on gibberish mode, it is extremely frustrating. I guess I will live with it for now.

I use the pen scanner for note taking for college classes. It does take some practice to get the speed and accuracy up, but it works really well. Bright lighting in the room also helps. Highly recommended!

We needed something my wife could put in her purse when we travel to carry our HP Netbook and charger. This does this just great. The color pink is what my wife wanted, but it does make it harder for me to carry in public without getting stairs. The current Amazon price is a steal for all it does and I think it does a great job of fitting and protecting the HP. I looked around and could not find anything anywhere online as such a deal. I highly recommend this cover.

The shipping costs almoat the same price as the item itself. You're better off going to the store to purchase one. The description says its for a 10.1 netbook but it appears much larger. I have an asus with an upgraded battery and there is still over an inch of space when zipped. Maybe Hp netbooks are bigger but asus definitely is too small. The quality is a bit thinner than i thought but the color is nice.

I was initially extremely pleased with the BoxWave miniSync and its ability to allow me to access the Internet from anywhere including travel. However, over time I noticed that my laptop began to increasingly have problems recognizing the USB cable. At one point, the cable stopped working altogether and I repeatedly uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers to try to get it working again. Finally, I tried using a colleague's cable and found his cable worked fine. Unfortunately, by then my 90 day warranty had long expired. Upon further investigation, I found that other customers had reported similar problems where the cable stopped working over time and that BoxWave does not address problem reports when the product is not purchased directly from them such as when it is purchased through a 3rd party online vendor.

Useful device to charge my sony clie without the bulky cradle. The cable leading to the interface connector is a bit off-center because the other slot is for the USB cable (not included). This missing component is the USB Hotsync cable, available separately as the PEGA-HS10. I guess one needs to buy several accessories if you want both charge and hotsync while mobile.

The other aspect I like about the portable charger is its capability to be plugged in to any voltage/frequency 100-240V, 50/60Hz.

As I use my clie a lot, with the background light on, my battery does not last me through the long day. This is the reason I bought this portable charger.

needed a replacement charger for an old Sony Clie. ordering directly from Sony would have been at least twice the price. this arrived timely, looked brand new and was painless to order, not to mention much cheaper.

I was a little skeptical about ordering on-line as I am quite new with the internet and what it has to offer.
