I bought this presentation clicker to help with powerpoint presentations in my college public speaking class. The podium is not conveniently placed near the keyboard and mouse, so the movement required to change slides would detract from speech delivery. With Amazon Prime, I upgraded to One-Day shipping and even with that the total cost was still under $20 when comparable models are upwards of $50 before shipping. The pointer feature is the standard button-operated red laser pointer, but it has the best range I've seen in affordable pointer models.

The truly useful features are of course in the presentation capabilities. In Mode A (the one you'll probably stay in when you're just doing a standard Powerpoint Presentation), you have the ability to start the slideshow from the standard view upon opening a ppt(x) file, to change slides (one at a time, though with practice you can accurately manage 2 or 3 slides without the audience knowing), black-screen the presentation for pauses and escape from the presentation at the end of the slide show. In the interesting Mode B (achieved by a single strong click of the Fn button), you can use the directional pad to move your mouse at two speeds in 4 directions (8 with practice) and then left-click with what was the Esc button in Mode A. Mode A is preferable for standard slide shows, while Mode B is useful for button-enhanced presentations and for non-PowerPoint uses of the clicker.

In terms of look and feel, it is surprisingly smooth and stylish, looking similar to many mp3 players and comparable in size (for the handheld device) to a first generation iPod Nano. The usb part is made with the same sleek finish, but it is about twice as wide as your average USB drive, so beware that it may block nearby ports depending on your USB orientation and position.

Installation was literally plug and play. I have not tried it on a Mac, but on Windows Vista and 7 everything is ready to go within a minute of plugging the usb piece into your computer. One review I read said that someone returned it the second they found it was not Windows 7 compatible, so I now figure that they must have just read the instruction booklet (which does not specifically mention compatibility after Vista) without simply trying it, because there were no issues for me.

Overall, great features, worth at least $30 plus shipping, so Amazon did a great job pricing it to move.

I purchased this device because I wanted a small presentation remote to replace my older one, which was a cheap on as well.

This remote had problems from day one. The buttons would sometimes work, but most of the time they wouldn't. Had problems in both presentation mode and mouse mode. Seems I got a bad one, which happens. However I immediately decided not to just get a replacement.

Even if it had worked I would have wanted to return it.

The buttons make a noticeable click sound that is a bit too loud and would be a distraction in meetings and speaking engagements.

The USB dongle is huge. I understand they wanted to make it where the dongle could plug into the remote when not in use, but if you have side by side usb ports, you will not be able to plug in anything next to this.

No on / off switch. You throw this in your bad and something is pressing one of the buttons, your battery will drain quickly.

Battery a pain to get out. If you needed to change the battery you have to play with it to get the old one out. Not to mention they use a small spring on the side of the battery for contact. You could easily mess that up and it would be a small paper weight.

Down is next? Seems a bit odd for me, but I could have lived with that.

The one thing this remote did have going for it was size, I loved the size of the thing. People would hardly be able to tell you had one in your hand.

Though this is decent keyboard and is still being used by someone else in my household it's not what I wanted or expected. The photo wasn't clear to me and it didn't act like a low profile membrane keyboard. Was rather large and clunky . The track pad has no customizing options that I could easily find. This is actually an AKB-440UB model w/ built-in touch pad. Right out of the box I had problems w/ the space bar. IMHO it looks like a design flaw. Unless you hit it right in the middle, it wobbles like crazy like a see-saw, and then it gets stuck. Never had a problem like this w/ any other keyboard. It's too bad b/c otherwise it would be a nice keyboard, but I can't live w/o a properly functioning space bar!

First, I have been using scanners and photography equipment for many years and like to think that I have realistic expectations when it comes new products coming on to the market. After receiving this unit, I promptly followed all of the directions for setting the unit up and scanning my first batch of photos. After numerous trial scans and several calibrations, I have come to the conclusion that this unit will not meet any of my needs. Some of the problems that I have noted include:

1. Odd color shifts appearing in the resulting scans.

2. Very noticeable noise in resulting scans at both 300 dpi and 600 dpi.

3. It is very difficult to obtain a properly cropped photo. The auto-cropping function is particularly annoying and there are no user settings to adjust how it acts. The whole point of having a scanner like this one is minimize the post production work necessary.

4. The instructions provided leave a lot to be desired.

Some redeeming qualities include the speed at which the unit scans, which is fairly fast. The size and weight also is very appealing. Most of the descriptions of this product fail to mention that it will also work on battery power which is a great selling point if only the quality of the output was acceptable.

In conclusion, while no scanner in this class and size is going to produce the kind of scans available from a flatbed scanner, this scanner leaves of lot to be desired with the scan quality. I expected better from Kodak. I will be returning the unit and spending my money on a different option.

This scans photos okay, although after about 300 photos there are significant streaks even though I cleaned the scanner like it said. The negative scanner works well and converts the image to a positive, color photo quite well. The slide scanner is the worst of the three, the images came out very grainy if the slides were even a little on the dark side. Kodak does not make this product, they have licensed their name to another company which makes it. I contacted customer support about the streaking issue, and even though they said they would get back with me, they have not in three weeks. This product does what it says it will, but just not very well.

I love the Kodak P461 for scanning our old mounted slides! It is easy and doesn't take too long to scan. We had lots of trays of slides but it was such a pain to set up the projector and screen every time you wanted to see your pictures of the past. Now I can just put them through the scanner and they download effortlessly to my PC and I can make DVD's if I choose. It can also scan up to a 4X6 picture too! They come out just as clear as the actual picture or slide too. Love it and I am having a ball looking at our childhood pictures! The scanner is also very small and easy to store which is another good feature!I would definately recommend purchasing one.

This is the best portable scanner in the market so far. I have been looking for quite a long time and finally found this one. The picture quality is great.

I decided to embark on a journey by digitalizing my family's photos. As it turns out, my grandmother horded tons of pictures (10 unorganized file boxes worth). I was using my 3 in 1 printer/scanner which worked fine except for the time it took. I came home from work to find it waiting for me on my doorstep. All you have to do is plug it in and put the sd card that comes with it in and scan. The picture quality is just as good as I was getting (all at 600dpi), so I'm pleased with that. Also, in the time that I can scan one picture with my 3-1, save it to my comp, etc, I've done about 10 with this! Maybe I have a really slow scanner, I don't know, but considering how many pictures I still have left to scan, this already seems worth it!

OK, I've read nearly ALL the reviews on this product...the good; and, well...the rest. Here is my setup/installation experience from the perspective of a Video production editor who has never set up a NAS. Having built many computer systems myself, and having also provided remote and on-site support to literally thousands of computer customers in very large corporate and government network environments, I go into every new installation with the spirit of I can figure it out; and, if there's a problem, look in the mirror first and think twice before getting all worked up. It's just hardware. When the unexpected happens, there's always a path to some flavor of resolution. As it goes with resolutions, some taste better than others.

The primary reason I bought the Synology DS1812+ (box) was to offload 10TB of High Definition video files from my editing system so that I could completely wipe it clean and install it with an Intel 520 series Solid State Drive as the new system drive, and reconfigure the remaining four disks in a RAID 5 setup. For anybody who cares, the reason I didn't configure with RAID 5 in the first place was money, priorities; and, hey...what's RAID 5!?

PDair P01 Black Leather Case for Motorola DROID 2 A955

This is my third case for my Droid 2. I started with the hard plastic Verizon snap-holster, but eventually the phone got caught on my seat belt while leaving the car, and the swivel latch broke off completely. Next I tried the lightweight standard Verizon leather horizontal holster, but after a year or so, it was literally down to its last thread, and it had to be discarded.

In contrast, this PDair P01 case ("Horizontal Pouch Type 3BMOD2P01") is heavy-duty, hand made, thicker and much sturdier than the Verizon leather holster, but surprisingly small. Unlike the Verizon case, the PDair uses a simple magnetic latch rather than a noisy Velcro (hook & loop) fastener. As shipped, the metal latch is covered with a protective plastic film that you really need to peel off before use, then it latches easily.

The case opens pretty wide, thanks to flexible elastic bands at each edge, sewed between two thick leather strips. This makes it easy to quickly slip the phone in and out. There isn't a lot of clearance at each end, so it's a snug fit, but not too snug. Removing the phone from the holster is easy to do with your left hand, if you're right-handed, and vice versa. Just place a finger at the bottom, in the middle, lift the latch, and it pops right out. Restoring the phone to the pouch takes a little more work, but over time you'll get the hang of it.

The covered belt loop feels very strong; perhaps there is spring steel under that leather. The loop doesn't slip onto a belt very easily, but that means it won't slip off very easily either, which is a good thing for something as valuable as a phone.

Overall, I think I've finally found a quality Droid 2 case that should last. I will update this review if it doesn't.

I first bought (yes I said `first') this item when I got the set of Karaoke Revolution disk. Boy did we have fun, then, at first it was just a little noise coming from the speakers. Than intermittent shorting out of the sound. Then nothing. This after just a few days.

Must admit Amazon was great in the way they handled the matter, they asked me to return the item, and sure enough shortly after a replacement came Boy did we have fun(of course we handled this new one with baby gloves), Did not help, within two weeks the same thing happened again, dead, kaput.

I had to buy another one (this time one that I saw in a store). So I am now on the third one within weeks. Other wise works pretty good (that is, when and while it works)

First two were very easy to go bad, hope I have better luck third time a round.

got this mic along w/ karaoke revolution 3 as a christmas gift. worked awesome. mic picked up my voice even when i was singing really low. we had the static not too long after and had assumed we were singing too close to the mic or that we had set it on sensitive. however on 12/27 (3 days of play), it died. i went to put my son down and when i came back, that was it. no forewarning. nothing. if anyone out there finds a good mic (i've yet to find out w/ usb ps2 compatibility) or headset, please let me know. thanks. other than that, it was fun while it lasted. but mic is a total letdown.

Mini Itx Tower Black with 150W Ps

I ordered this for an HTPC build using an AMD A6-3500 with 4GB of ram (2x2). Needless to say, for the cost, I did not expect much from this case. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see a well packaged (double-boxed) and well made case.

The size is pretty good for a mini-ITX case it's not too big and not too small. The proportions are perfect for an HTPC it is wider and shallower than a typical PC case. It resembles the dimensions of an Xbox console being wider (or taller) than it is deep. Overall, I think it's a great size that will fit in almost any situation. It can also be situated horizontally or vertically using the adhesive rubber feet.

The quality of the sheetmetal is definitely a little higher than your normal budget case. It has an excellent "brushed" finish that resembles brushed aluminum from a distance. It feels like it's of good quality. The only slightly cheesy part is the cover. Closed, it looks fine (almost like a cable box or VCR or something) but it opens up to reveal the slim optical bay and power and HDD LEDs. The door on the left hides two USB ports and audio jacks (mic+headphones). The silver border between the two areas is the power button (pretty clever design element). All those plastic bits (the two covers and the power button) are a little cheap, but from a few feet away, look totally fine.

The top cover of the case comes off easily and it is actually very solid which might have something to do with the fact that it's so small. Then there is a top cover that can hold a 3.5" HDD (I think) or a 2.5" drive (or SSD) as well as a slim optical drive. There is a very quiet 150W PSU on the right side and a loud 40mm(I think) fan on the back left which uses a 3 pin fan connector). I used an ASRock A75M with an A6-3500 and the OEM CPU fan JUST BARELY fits under the optical drive bracket. I might add some ventilation holes because it covers half the fan and makes it a little louder than without. If you are not using a slim optical drive, it might even make sense to try mounting an SSD without the bracket in another area so there's more space to maneuver. The bracket itself slides into place without clunky hinges or stops. It is a very solid, simple, and elegant way to add drives to the system.

Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase. I would purchase this again for sure if I were to build another HTPC or small system.

BTW, so far this runs XBMCUbuntu very well without a discrete graphics card. I've played 1080p MKVs, BD images, Airplay videos from iPad and others.

It is wonderfully constructed and very sturdy. I can not comment on the power supply becuase I am using a micro supply and not hte one that is supplied. The case fan is loud so I did not use it. I did not need it anyway. This build was with a Zotac ION motherboard. The CPU fan hits the slim DVD slot so I cut away some of the metla to make room. Works great. I would by again in heartbeat.

I purchased an iPod ITouch from Amazon and was not happy with just charging using the computer. I read all the reviews of this product and finally chose it over other styluses made with plastic tips. I thought it could handle the job and last longer. However, when I went to use it with my Nook Tablet, I found, especially when there was a narrow area that needed to be touched, most of the time the cloth stylus was not sensitive enough to activate the tablet in that area. One time it would work in a similar condition, and then in another, it wouldn't function. I got really frustrated.

So, I went and purchased a screen saver cover for my tablet and started using my fingers. I found that they were more sensitive and accurate than the stylus was! If I buy another stylus, I'll buy one with a plastic tip, even though it may not last as long as the cloth one would. If it doesn't work accurately either, then I'll just keep on using the old reliable, wear resistant fingers!

I like this skin. It is long lasting, and works well with the phone. I wish that I would have gotten the background that it promised to give us. I emailed the seller and never got it. I am going to hope that it was by fluke only.

I am giving three stars only because my emails never got responded to (and I sent several). The item did get to me and I like having my phone with diff. styles on them. (If they would have been responsive... then they would have gotten 4 stars.) Why not five... because over wear and tear it starts peeling off.... however. I bought the blue cover and it indeed matched Apple's blue leather folding magnetic iPad cover very well. It came with simple, clear instructions for application to the back of the iPad. It's also just heavy (thick) enough that it more or less smooths itself out once adhered. I've only had it for about two weeks, but it seems to be wearing well and makes the iPad so much more pleasant, and secure, to hold in the hand. I wish I'd gotten one for my 1st gen iPad years ago.
