I bought this to use my iPad in the bath. It works perfectly for this purpose. Obviously I have not completely submerged my device (not that daring) but had drops of water and splashes that wiped right off. There is a double ziplock and then folds down to have a snap cover. If I accidentally drop my iPad in water and retrieve it immediately, I think it will be safe. This was my main reason to purchase this vs the much more expensive marine model. I have not used it by the pool or beach because the glare of the iPad makes it not suitable for this purpose anyways.

I wanted to be able to use my iPad near water (e.g., the bath tub). This is avery simple plastic case that has a double seal, that you then fold over and snap for a third seal. It was easy to get the iPad in. It was also easy to see the iPad inside and to access the buttons. It does exactly what it claims, and seems very well put together.

I haven't tried taking it to the beach or a lake. My guess is that the iPad's screen will still be blown out by the brightness, but I haven't actually tested that.

Very nice case, easy to install and use.

It is really very water resistant, ideal for reading books or anything else on the bathtub, on the pool or beach.

I would give it 5 stars if it allowed my iPad 2 to film and take pictures. Both cameras are blocked by the bag opaque part. What a shame.

Seems split with in first week poorly made after two weeks its taped up.

I use dry bags all the time for kayaking and i live in Washington St, so its always wet.

I've used the card with a FujiFilm S1800 camera card is very inexpensive and works like advertised. Never had any problems with the card.

OK, I've read nearly ALL the reviews on this product...the good; and, well...the rest. Here is my setup/installation experience from the perspective of a Video production editor who has never set up a NAS. Having built many computer systems myself, and having also provided remote and on-site support to literally thousands of computer customers in very large corporate and government network environments, I go into every new installation with the spirit of I can figure it out; and, if there's a problem, look in the mirror first and think twice before getting all worked up. It's just hardware. When the unexpected happens, there's always a path to some flavor of resolution. As it goes with resolutions, some taste better than others.

The primary reason I bought the Synology DS1812+ (box) was to offload 10TB of High Definition video files from my editing system so that I could completely wipe it clean and install it with an Intel 520 series Solid State Drive as the new system drive, and reconfigure the remaining four disks in a RAID 5 setup. For anybody who cares, the reason I didn't configure with RAID 5 in the first place was money, priorities; and, hey...what's RAID 5!?

I find myself at this product page to order two replacement belt clips because the one supplied with my Boxwave Palm TX case wore out in just 5 months! The case itself is very nice and the belt clip is a good design, but the clip materials are soft and weak.

I typically use the belt clip just to transport the TX from home to office; it sits on my desk at both places most of the time. So it gets about 15-20 clip/unclip cycles per week not much compared to those who travel with one all day.

Yet after about five months, the clip wore out to the point my TX has fallen out two or three times I'm lucky it wasn't damaged. The problem is that the plastic clip ramp the screw slides on is quite soft and just wore down to the point it's no longer tall enough to secure the TX in place. If Boxwave had used a more-durable resin plastic (fibreglass-embedded would have been nice), or metal, it would last much longer.

Even though it's only five months to failure, Boxwave is using their 100-day policy to refuse a replacement. So BEWARE that you will likely need to buy more of these as well, due to poor-quality materials chosen by the manufacturer.

I have been looking for a book style case for my Droid X and this was exactly what I needed. Love the deep red color of the crocodile pattern, gives it a classy look. My Droid X fits perfect inside and there are some slots for id cards in the case, but if you add too many it makes the case bulky and hard to close. At times, I do find that the snap closure takes a couple tries to line up just right and close, but not that big of deal for me. Love the idea I can throw in my purse and not worry about my phone getting harmed. Easy to answer calls as the case flips open easy and out of the way when talking. Camera and charger work and fit fine when droid is in the case. A bit pricer than I wanted to pay, but could not find a good looking, functional case elsewhere.

I did much research over two days to find the best card for a PCI Standard bus PC and found a number of reviews stating this was the best. There is much discussion whether or not these older PC's can even utilize anything over 128Mb cards but with so many good reviews, I purchased this one. The consensus is that the 512's are a waste of money. Someone stated in another review that you have to disable the old card first. You do it as follows: Start, Control Panel, System, Hardware, Device Manager, left click on the "cross" to the right of Display Adapters, right click on Graphics Controller (or it will be the only one listed), left click "disable," turn off PC, install new card, start PC, PC should recognize new hardware, download new software, update new software (there's new drivers since the 5/08 ones on the disc), go back to device manager and uninstall the old card if you want.

Before I did this the new card would not take, and all I got was a black screen upon rebooting the PC. I had to reinstall the old card and do the above procedure before I could install the new one and get it to work. Anyway the card works great, vivid colors, ok 3D graphics, more detail as advertised, and I can play all the non high end games I want. No more jerking performance, freezing up and crashing of games. This is great for the average person with only a PCI standard bus. It makes the PC acceptable. Whereas before, the old card gave barely minimal graphic performance.

My Nettop computer has Intel GMA 950 onboard graphics. I was experiencing poor quality video with a Dell 19 inch widescreen monitor. The text was blurred and it had some flickering at 1440x900 resolution. I tried everything to adjust it with no luck. This monitor also had video problems with a Mac using GMA 950 graphics. My Nettop only has 1 PCI slot, so I gave this card a shot. Wow, what an improvement! Both Digital and Analog outputs look great. It works great with Aero and it improved the Windows Experience Index for Aero from 2.0 to 2.5 with Windows 7. Windows 7 automatically detected it and I didn't have to do a Google search for missing drivers. The system seems more responsive now, maybe because of the GPU and extra 256mb of video ram? This card has lots of plus's: Low price, great video quality, DVI and VGA output, 256mb RAM, no noisy fan, it fits in a PCI slot, S video output and it works with dual screens too. The specs say it needs a 300 watt power supply, but I'm using it with a 250 watt power supply no problem. This thing works great as a budget video card upgrade. I agree with the other reviewers and give it 5 stars. I ordered this card from Amazon instead of Newegg because the shipping was cheaper.

The company I work for decided to upgrade a couple departments to dual monitors. I seached the web for something that would be compatible for our broad range of machines (from 4 years old to present). I also wanted something that would be compatible with Windows7 and 64bit technology as they are becoming more widespread. Out of the 20 ordered, 19 worked without a hitch. One of our older machines had trouble recognizing the card all of the time and occassionally complained of memory issues. Four computers of the exact same year and specs run the card with no problems.... I have not yet determined if it is the card or an unrelated issue. Okay if you're anything like me, than 64 megs is going to be plenty of space. There's more than enough room for high quality digital picture as well as Mp3's or whatever else you can think of. The only down side to having a larger card is that it takes a while to download or upload information. I use this CF card with my digital camera and find it quite reliable. Using standard compression on my camera, I could easily take approximately 64 shots (@ 3 megapixels). This saves me the time of always having to delete or offload the pictures into my computer with a smaller CF card.

I couldn't find any differences between the different CF cards that are available from other manufacturers; except for the capacity of the memory. All the CF cards available are the same except for the cost.

Best thing to do is shop around for the best deal/service. Living in Canada, I could only compare with Kodak, Sandisk and Lexar CF cards.

Sandisk was by far the cheapest compared to the other brands.

So far I have taken over 400 shots with no problems. I am quite satisfied and pleased with this CF card's performance.

When my studio went Digital last year we bought a Kodak DCS 330, after learning with a Kodak DC210Plus, and since we use the camera tethered to a computer by a Firewire, we still need good memory capacity in the camera. With two SanDisk 64MB cards in the camera we have enough memory to hold the images of a Portrait session before transferring them into Photoshop for processing. At 8.65 Megabytes per image, two 64s don't provide very much space so we take a laptop with us in the field for transfer. But a professional absolutely must have rock-solid reliability and we get it with the SanDisk 64s no hint of noise or problems after over 1,000 images in each disk. They were recommended to me by another Professional Photographer.

Panasonic U-Shape Steam Iron, White / Blue finish, NI-E200T

I originally wanted to get the NI-S300TR but saw just below the image that there was another newer version called the Panasonic NI-E300TR U-Shape Steam Iron. So I clicked on the newer version and liked the features. Then right next to the image was a selection of colors. Not being a fan of lime green, I selected the blue color instead. I had no idea that the different colors meant completely different features. Had I scrolled down to the bottom of the page, I would have seen that color selection was tied to what features came with the iron. Each color had different features which was not indicated when it indicated that I could select the color iron that I wanted. When my blue iron arrived with the instruction booklet, it was then that I learned that my iron had fewer features than the other two color selections of lime-green and violet (with violet having the most features). According to the manual that came with my iron the manual was for the NI-E650TR and also covered the features for the E300TR and E200T. The blue version does not have a retractable cord, no self-cleaning feature, no vertical steam, no automatic shut-off, no stay-clean vents and no "jet of steam" feature. So PLEASE BE AWARE when selecting your color choice. It isn't so much the color that you are selecting as it is a completely different model with different features. That should have been made more clear. I paid $1 more and have none of the features that I thought I was getting. If I would have saved that dollar, I could have had a lot more features. Go figure. Buyer Beware.

We got this iron because, for some reason, we had an unused but OLD iron lying around without auto shut-off. After two near-misses with that thing, I ordered this based on the reviews and ratings. We weren't disappointed.

Stainless steel baseplate this is a nice, modern feature. "Nonstick" is fine until something sticks to it. Then when you scrub it off, it's no longer nonstick.

I needed a iron because I do a lot of cross stitching and needle work. My old iron died and I kept " borrowing" my son's iron,that is, till he got tired of asking to get it back. This is a very nice leather case for your Omnia. I have an LG Dare also and a similar case. The case for the LG (different brand) has the closure flap attached to the base not the flip open cover. Because of this slight design change it makes a huge difference. On the LG that flap is always hitting you in the chin while you are talking on the phone, very annoying! This case has the closure mounted to the flip open cover and therefore is out of the way when the cover is opened.

There is another very nice feature on this case that makes that nicety a little less relevant. You can talk on the phone with the case closed! This may not seem to be a big deal but it keeps the oil from your face off the touch screen when you're using the phone. In addition, you can use the camera with the case closed. These thoughtful features alone make this a great case but it is also very nicely made and fits the phone very nicely. I could do without the Boxware logo imprinted on the cover but with all of the great features and a super price, that's just nit picking!

This is a beautifully made case, sufficiently rigid to keep the Omnia (a SmartPhone) from buttdialing and taking pictures when it's in my purse or pocket.

I wish it came in other colors besides black; red would make it easier to see where my phone is.

The case could benefit from a loop to secure the Omnia's stylus. (Samsung has designed only a tether, so the stylus is always dangling.)

I thought this would be a neat little contraption to take out to dinner or use at work... But for the most part, I just look like a crazy novice forensic scientist looking for traces of ... well whatever on glasses and silverware, phones and keyboards.. etc.. The directions tell you to wave the light over the surface for 10 seconds... and i thought, directly over? or just hovering above? The case is fine for a $5 dollar purchase but it definitely is a "$5 purchase." If you are looking for something more durable and quality...this is probably not the case. But for $5 it wasn't too bad.

Only one screen protector in an order. Very slightly (about 1 mm.) too wide for the screen of my XV-6700, so it's hard to put on. Scratches easily (even the smoothing card that came with it scratched it). Not visibly or tactilely better than any other screen protector I've used over the years, but also no worse.

On the plus side, comes with disposable little finger-gloves (like little balloons or condoms) you can wear to prevent fingerprints during installation. Had not seen that before.

I won a Toshiba Thrive 7" tablet computer, much to my delight! However, finding a cover for it in my area proved impossible. 10" covers galore, but no 7". So, I ordered online and the one I got is great! It came quickly, fit the tablet like a glove, and now, I can take my little computer with me wherever I go. This case does everything.

The thrive lives inside an inner case that wraps around it and has one side affixed with a bit that tucks in and is held by velcro.

Then the inner case affixes to the outer case with velcro allow either orientation. The outer case props the thrive for movie viewing and it's front covering "lid" closes with a light magnetic clasp.

I've had my case for some time now, so thought I'd share my view with you all. It's a sturdy leather bound card type, with a cutout for the rear facing camera. When closed, it really does look like a leather bound book. Though it does add some bulk to the nude tablet, it's not so large as to be imposing.

The velcro attachment on the back of the tablet sleeve allows you to detach it from the 'cover' and either hand hold the tablet or swivel it to portrait and use with equal ease as landscape. The velcro works extremely well and is 100% secure. No dropping out of it's cover here.

From a purely personal aesthetic point of view, I'm not sold on the red 'trams lines' used to prop up the tablet at various angles. They are very functional, but I may take a permanent black marker to them in the not too distant future.....

All in all, a very happy bunny now owns a classy bit of leather bound kit.

I was really excited to find a cover for the Thrive tablet and when it arrived it was all nice and new, leather and a perfect fit. I have had My Axim for a couple of months now and I have put it through its marks. I comes out on top in everything. Dell has thought of it all when it comes to this very handsome PocketPc. I was very impressed when I turned it on and went to the internet and it set its self up for my wifi network. I thought that was going to me a nightmare and it turned out to be a dream. It works like a dream on the internet too. I can use it anyplace and that makes it easy to keep up on my email.

It keeps my life in order with all the software that comes with it and there is so much to add if you need to. The free stuff is endless on the web.

It plays and stores my MP3s like the best MP3 player. I can watch the latest movies on it while waiting to see the doctor or play great games to keep my mind busy while waiting for that doctor who seems to be takeing forever, but I don't mind I have my Axim X30.

I can never find a piece of paper while out to take down an address or a note about something I don't want to forget and my Axim does that too. It takes notes and saves them with ease. Don't feel like writing? Well just press a button and speak your notes or anything else. You won't need one of those little tape recorders ever again. Throw away your Day Runner. You won't need it ever again. This stores all that and more.

I just can't list everything it can do because I would be writing forever but with software there isn't much it can't do. On the lighter side you can even use it for a flashlight or a mirror to check your lipstick!!

I have had many Palms and PocketPcs and I have liked them all but none can come close to this one. It's by far one of the very BEST there is out there. Its super fast too. You can add tons of memory with SD memory cards and they are so small.

I really could fill up allot more pages just listing the things this little package can do but I think you get the picture. They say that "Big things come in little packages". I think they wrote that just for the Dell Axim X30

I loved my Axim X-30 high. Didn't know how I'd ever lived without one. Read books, watched movies, checked my e-mail on the go ... wonderful! However, after owning it for a year and six months (thus out of warranty), I turned it on one morning to be greeting by a solid, white screen. Hard and soft reset had no effect. Switching batteries didn't help.

Then I discovered that Dell charges you $39 just to TALK to someone who can initiate the repair process on an out-of-warranty item. There's no place to take it or send it in. You have to go through the phone number that charges you up front before you can even talk to someone about repairs. That just doesn't seem right to me, and I'm disappointed at how soon my Axim (which was very well cared for and never dropped or roughly handled) stopped working. Complaints to customer service just get me canned responses.

This would be a wonderful device if you never needed technical support, or if they offered it in English. I have yet, in numerous calls to Dell, to speak to someone who can understand ordinary English sentences or speak without a heavy middle eastern accent. As I write, I'm on hold for the seventh time in the same call. I have been passed back and forth all morning. Everyone is "sorry" for the inconvenience. All I want to know is the secret technique to replace the backup battery without taking the unit out of service and mailing it to Dell. This question has sent them into an endless loop of confusion. I started with technical support who sent me to parts who sent me to customer service who sent me to parts who sent me to technical support. Now I'm on hold.

Buy one of these time-saving devices and you, too, can be sorry for the inconvenience. UPDATE: tech support just came on with the news: if your backup battery needs replacement, unless your device is still under warranty, just throw the unit away! It is no longer supported! Sorry for the inconvenience!

Want Dell Axim X30 Pocket PC (624 MHz, 64MB, Wi-Fi) Discount?

The Dell Axim X30 624 Mhz was released in 2004. It still has a lot going for it; it's sleek, compact, and attractive, it's got Bluetooth and WiFi, and a 624 Mhz processor (the fastest processor available then). But I can't imagine why anyone would want to buy this outdated model, especially since the price listed here for a brand new unit is higher than what it retailed for in 2004. It uses Windows Mobile 2003 (WM v4), which isn't supported by MS anymore. The current version of Windows Mobile is 6.1.

Additionally, Dell has discontinued the Axim X30 since 2007. You will have trouble getting support from Dell if you run into any problems.

But complaints about it being outdated aside, the Dell Axim X30 has a few significant problems with it:

1) A problem commonly reported is the backup battery going bad or burning out. There is no way to replace it unless you want to venture into cracking the case open and soldering the right kind of battery on.

2) A lot of users, like myself, have the problem with the built-in storage spontaneously disappearing. The PPC doesn't "see" the drive anymore; it's like it doesn't even exist.

3) Activesync frequently fails to sync some task and calendar items.

4) Pathetic battery life. I can squeeze about 2.5 hours from the battery it comes with and that's with Bluetooth ans WiFi turned off and the screem dimmed down.

5) On my X30, the power/data connector completely broke loose.

I would advise you to pass this up.

Very fast, dependable OS (way better than the wm5), good buttons, nice scroll device, good battery life, bt and wifi works very well, the only glitch is that it would be nice to have a better screen, other than that is nearly perfect.
