Clear Anti-glare Screen Protector for the HP iPAQ h2200 h2215 h2210 Series - Gomadic Brand
- Provides clear, anti-glare, dust repelling and fingerprint free surface
- Protects expensive touch screen from scrapes and scratches
- Improves screen contrast and handwriting recognition
- Includes soft card squeegee, easy to install
- Washable and backed by Gomadics Lifetime Warranty
Interesting, the direction of the filter seems to matter. At some point I took it off, and when I've put it back, it ended up "upside-down" (same side towards the screen but other end towards the bottom of the screen), and worked better in this direction.
It scratches real easy, much easier than the PDA screen (but then again, it's much cheaper to replace). If you have some dust on the screen, make sure to wipe it off before using the stylus.

I LOVE this Nook stylus. I have been reading many more books now that I have the Nook and the stylus makes it so much easier for me to do things like turn the pages . I have multiple sclerosis and diabetes so using a finger was hard to keep steady to turn only one page at a time. The stylus has a clip that goes on the cover of the Nook so I don't lose it.Sunday, June 22, 2014
Optoma PK301 Pico Pocket Projector

- Extended power battery pack, iPod kit-share the fun from iPods and iPhones,Female USB adapter -project images and videos from USB ,Mini HDMI cable
It finally arrived, and much to my surprise it beat my expectations just out of the box. it looks and feels better than any of the other ones i have examined first hand. The casing is sturdy and compact although the zoom swivel looks fragile.
The picture quality is very good and can certainly beat the quality of a regular TV. i used it with a nokia micro SD card from my old mobile and i ran a slide show on the ceiling with short videos it took my breath away. i hooked it up to my iphone and watched a full movie in my bedroom in full widescreen mode, you will be in for a good surprise :) you only need the AV cable for the iphone or ipad and a bluetooth or wired earphones and you have you 100% portable cinema box that fits in your pocket. I also tried it with apple TV connected through the HDMI link. It delivers a very nice picture. the built in speaker is good enough for my kids to watch cartoon while sitting just behind the projector.
Although I love this projector i have a few comments to make.
The battery life is not enough for one full movie and does not charge well if you operate the projector while it is plugged to power source.
It heats up a little too quickly, i know it is summer time but in 10 minutes it's casing is hot.
With that said, my final verdict is still excellent and highly recommended.
I also recommend the following accessories:
1) A small tripod is very important for ventilation and also positioning
2) The remote is very handy because the buttons on the projector are small and as they dim you cannot make out which button you are pressing. also good for slide shows and short videos off the memory card.

I use this projector for video and image files. In my opinion, it is best suited for impromptu displays for groups of 5 people or less. I always load all my materials on a 16GB class 6 Micro SD card which I leave plugged into the projector. I seldom use it connected to my linux gear, tho it works fine with all my 'nix machines including my Nokia N900. It's great for quickly displaying something on a white board in someone's cubicle. You don't need a lot of complicated equipment and a laptop because everything is thoughtfully self-contained.Although software does come with the projector for converting PowerPoint presentations to a portable format that can be loaded to an SD card (as well as converting videos), I don't use that software because it's for windows and I'm not a windows user.
The PK301 is larger than my 3M Pro120 with greater resolution and a significantly brighter/sharper picture. I don't notice any of the rainbow effects that are sometimes a nuisance on my 120. It throws a 32 inch diagonal 16x9 aspect picture from 4ft away which is bright enough to be enjoyed in most office lighting conditions (overhead florescent). Usually, I'm just holding the projector at belly button height. The focus-ring is great and makes it easy to get a tack-sharp picture. You can operate all the controls with your thumbs because they are centered on the top of the machine with the exception of the on/off button which is on the side. It accepts a camera tripod (not included), and I bought a mini-one to set on a desk/table top for when I connect to my netbook or something.
Battery life is much, much less than the 3M (I get about 30-40 mins), but unlike many projectors, you can use the power cord while the projector is running for unlimited working time.
I use Mpeg 4 video formats with this projector when playing programs from the Micro SD card. I experimented with several tweaks and bit rates and discovered that the internal video player software cannot play variable bit-rate MP4 encodings. It does, however, play constant bit rate, quality, or quantization videos very well. I settled on MP4, Level 5, 720x408p (yes, 408 remember it's 16x9), 29.97fps, constant quality 13, with 128kbps AAC 48khz audio. You need a class 4 or above SD card because the video will stutter if played from a class 2.
While you're playing a video, the < and > buttons allow for RR and FF, and the up and down buttons control the volume. The remote (sold separately here at Amazon) has an additional volume control on it as well as a mute button. You can shut off the projector from the remote, but you cannot turn it on. And order yourself a CR2025 lithium battery for the remote (it doesn't come with a battery). I got mine at Target, but they can be hard to find.
And at the end of the day I set the projector on the hotel nightstand and flip the tripod head to vertical. Then I can lie in bed and watch a movie or music videos on a 50" video picture projected on the ceiling (which is almost always white in hotels). I can shut off the projector and there's no lingering cooling fan to keep me awake.
--UPDATE
The internal media player cannot play Video files > 2,048MB. If a movie exceeds that, the directory shows a negative size (meaning the code doesn't use long integers) and you'll get an error message about an unrecognized format. You must break the movie into smaller files or reduce your encoding quality to constrain the movie to 2GB.
--UPDATE
This projector finally failed. It was a rather slow death. The image started to display a few dead pixels. They eventually spread until the picture was unusable. It did this over a period of three days, which was good because it gave me a chance to make other arrangements rather than just quiting in the middle of a presentation.

I bought this to replace the TV in my bedroom that was moved to my living room (a 42") when my living room Toshiba 52" LCD (14 months old-don't buy a Toshiba flat panel TV) died. I originally bought the PK-201. My complaint with that and the reason I returned it was that the focus had issues. It always seemed like one side was focused and the other corner wasn't. Well, the PK-301 exceeded my expectations. The picture is huge. It claims it will go to 120", but I am about 100" with my throw. Not sure what the max throw is. I didn't see that spec. I am using it in my bedroom (yes I said bedroom) and it is projecting on my wall. I have Dish Network plugged in with the Mini-HDMI input (cable was not included). Picture quality is amazing, especially considering I am using my bedroom white wall as the screen! The focus works much better and is easier to dial in than the 201, as it has a nice ring on the lens. I didn't have to adjust the color as it looks great. I only have 2 complaints and they are actually tied together.Complaint #1-The power button on the side of the projector is too small. It's very tough to turn on and off, especially without moving the unit out of it's place from the mini tripod it's sitting on.
Complaint #2-No remote. It should have came with a remote. They do sell one separately but it's not a great remote, yet it's useful. There's no on button on the remote, only an off. Weird, I know.
Now I know most people aren't using this for a TV in their house, but every projector should have a remote, regardless.
Brightness is pretty good on it, although you really need a dark room to fully enjoy the quality of the picture.
Looked up the life expectancy of the projector/bulb, and amazingly it's 20,000 hours of use. If I use this 3 hours a day, that's about 18 years. Pretty impressive. My $1200 Toshiba lasted 14 months.
If it came with the remote, I would have given it 5 stars.

NeatReceipts Neat Business Cards Mobile Full Color Card Reader/Scanner
- Portable business card scanner reduces clutter
- Scans in color at 300 dpi resolution
- Extracts relevant information from business card, inputs directly into your computer
- USB interface also provides power so no AC adapter needed
- Device measures 4.35 x 1.05 x 2.06 inches (WxHxD)
I received the product and downloaded the most recent software and drivers. Went through the install process as described. Tried scanning my first card. The scan quality was so horrible that I think I may have received a defective unit. Each scan looked like a blur of colors and lines. After 10-15 tries, the software was able to pick up the NAMES (just the names!) on the business cards about 1 out of every 4 times.
I decided to uninstall the software, and this is where things got messy. The install program apparently installed multiple programs to Windows XP. The main program is a resource hog. Uninstalling doesn't remove everything installed. This is extremely sloppy programming and shows a lack of "respect" for customer's home computers. Even if I HAD received a defective unit, the software and install/uninstall experience deserve the 1 star. If you are like me, and like to keep your computer clean and running well, the software with this product makes a mess of your hard drive and operating system. I had to sift through my registry manually and run specialized software just to ensure that everything was removedand I'm STILL not 100% that I've completely erased the traces of this software. Even if I could get a new unit that actually scanned well, I wouldn't. The software and install/uninstall process is just sloppy. Inexcusably sloppy.

Out of all the business card scanners I have tried, including the ones that friends and associates use, the neat business card bundle is the best. The character recognition is very good, but it has some trouble with really small characters. Sometimes I have to scan a card a few times to get it centered correctly, even after cleaning the unit. All in all this is a great product and one that I recommend to anyone who collects alot of business cards.Read Best Reviews of NeatReceipts Neat Business Cards Mobile Full Color Card Reader/Scanner Here
I used to have drawers full of business cards when I came back from CES and other trade shows that I go to every year. I would have to sort through them and try to find names and numbers. I never got around to putting them into a physical file, and really, it was just a mess. This is a terrific solution to that mess. I simply drop cards into the scanner, which doesn't take up much space on my desk, and they're into my database. I love that I can make notes on each, so I can remember where I met people and what we talked about. Works just like it said it would.Want NeatReceipts Neat Business Cards Mobile Full Color Card Reader/Scanner Discount?
The installation CD will not work on Windows XP SP3. An installer is available for download but it is difficult to locate on the support web site. Let me save you some time: it is available in the support article for the NeatReceipts product and its support of SP3. Towards the end of the article will be a link for a Neat Business Cards installer. Tech support was not terribly helpful. Scanning directly into Outlook is far more convenient than the way CardScan works but the field assignment logic does not seem as intelligent.I'm a software/hardware guru with over 16 years software/hardware development experience plus a Ph.D. of EE ...Never saw an implementation from a decent company can be called a product in this kind of quality.
Bought it a year ago, expected to use it with my outlook address book. It crashes after scanning 4~5 business card due to memory leak, the company admits it but has no plan to fix it. When it crashes, you have to reboot Windows XP to reset the application. And it is only one of the many issues with it...
I wasted too much time trying to work around its bugs because the company is not willing to provide bug fixes. I decide to give it up now.

Before I did this the new card would not take, and all I got was a black screen upon rebooting the PC. I had to reinstall the old card and do the above procedure before I could install the new one and get it to work. Anyway the card works great, vivid colors, ok 3D graphics, more detail as advertised, and I can play all the non high end games I want. No more jerking performance, freezing up and crashing of games. This is great for the average person with only a PCI standard bus. It makes the PC acceptable. Whereas before, the old card gave barely minimal graphic performance.

My Nettop computer has Intel GMA 950 onboard graphics. I was experiencing poor quality video with a Dell 19 inch widescreen monitor. The text was blurred and it had some flickering at 1440x900 resolution. I tried everything to adjust it with no luck. This monitor also had video problems with a Mac using GMA 950 graphics. My Nettop only has 1 PCI slot, so I gave this card a shot. Wow, what an improvement! Both Digital and Analog outputs look great. It works great with Aero and it improved the Windows Experience Index for Aero from 2.0 to 2.5 with Windows 7. Windows 7 automatically detected it and I didn't have to do a Google search for missing drivers. The system seems more responsive now, maybe because of the GPU and extra 256mb of video ram? This card has lots of plus's: Low price, great video quality, DVI and VGA output, 256mb RAM, no noisy fan, it fits in a PCI slot, S video output and it works with dual screens too. The specs say it needs a 300 watt power supply, but I'm using it with a 250 watt power supply no problem. This thing works great as a budget video card upgrade. I agree with the other reviewers and give it 5 stars. I ordered this card from Amazon instead of Newegg because the shipping was cheaper.Want EVGA nVidia e-GeForce 6200LE 256 MB 256-P1-N400-LR Discount?
One of the best still-available choices of plug-in graphics card for those who only have legacy PCI slots available on their motherboards. Visit the EVGA website for other similar PCI choices. The company I work for decided to upgrade a couple departments to dual monitors. I seached the web for something that would be compatible for our broad range of machines (from 4 years old to present). I also wanted something that would be compatible with Windows7 and 64bit technology as they are becoming more widespread. Out of the 20 ordered, 19 worked without a hitch. One of our older machines had trouble recognizing the card all of the time and occassionally complained of memory issues. Four computers of the exact same year and specs run the card with no problems.... I have not yet determined if it is the card or an unrelated issue. I would strongly recommend this card to anyone looking to upgrade computers with older Motherboards. I'm impressed to see that it works equally well with newer boards and operating systems as well. They are cheap and they work!Friday, March 28, 2014
Panasonic U-Shape Steam Iron, White / Blue finish, NI-E200T
Stainless steel baseplate this is a nice, modern feature. "Nonstick" is fine until something sticks to it. Then when you scrub it off, it's no longer nonstick.
Steam EVERYWHERE!
Fillable in the bathroom sink because of thoughtful design
Clear, easy-to-read water level
Did I say "Steam Everywhere?"
Cons:
nonintuitive. This is the first iron for which I've ever had to read the instruction manual. And I have to read it again tonight because I forgot how to use two important features.
Temperature wheel is slow and hard to budge at first.
No better iron for the price, I assure you.

I needed a iron because I do a lot of cross stitching and needle work. My old iron died and I kept " borrowing" my son's iron, that is, till he got tired of asking to get it back. I had heard from a few friends that the ONLY iron to buy had to be one of those $100.00 ++++ . Instead, I looked at my old friend Amazon. I was so surprised at the cheaper prices. I had originally wanted the purple model. I couldn't understand why it was selling for double the price of the blue iron. I wish I would have looked a wee bit more. I would have liked the retractable cord for only $5.00 more. After trying out this new iron I was so shocked that it is so much more better then I would have thought! The steam part of the iron is fantastic! Gets heavily wrinkled fabric smooth as a baby's butt! It is VERY light! But, actually.....I like it better! I am very happy with this purchase and the best thing is there was no S&H, no paying for gas, no waiting for parking at a mall. I order just about everything from Amazon and I LOVE it!Friday, March 21, 2014

Topeak PDA Phone Pack
Having a cell phone while your biking is a tremendous safety asset. Getting lost, flats, bad weather etc being able to call for help (or get calls from help). Where to keep the phone when doing serious biking was always a bit of a question. If you have bike shirt you can always use the back pockets but it's sometimes hard to access if you have a bunch of stuff back there. Plus in warmer climates it gets drenched with sweat. So mounting it to the bike is a pretty good idea.
The Topeak holder is basically a heavy duty nylon/neoprene cell phone case. The biggest difference in design is that there is an extra bracket on the back clip that lets it slide onto and off of the mounting stud you place on your bike. You can also use it as a belt clip. On one side there are some elastic loops that let you store a stylus and thin pen. This particular unit is large enough to hold a full size blackberry with no problem and an I-phone if you stuff it.
The other part of it is a mounting bracket that goes on bike. The fastening mechanism is similar to a pipe clamp but it's all plastic. I wasn't thrilled with the plastic construction but at least it won't scratch your bike. You thread the strap around bike tube and into the fastener, then screw on the fastener and it takes up the slack until you've got the right fit.
Mounting options depend on your bike. Optimally it might go on the handlebars but that place can get busy with other accessories and the PDA holder is a bit large. I chose to mount it on the top frame tube. I was worried if it was going to fit since tube is oversized but it fit with no problem.
Once you've got the mount on you slide the clip over the square mounting stud till it clips. The stud is omni -directional so you can slide the holder in from any direction on the stud, not just up/down. It clips and it does not come off. Your phone is at the ready whenever you need it. When your done with the ride take it out or use it as your holder.
So in Summary
Pros-
Multi Functional, works on both bike and belt.
Convenient, lets you take your phone comfortably when you might leave it behind
Well built, would probably protect your phone in a crash.
Cons
A bit bulkier than other regular PDA carriers.
Conclusion
If your looking for a way to carry your phone with you while biking give this a serious look. It works well.As long as you have no dimension issues fitting your device into case...and I don't...it works great.
One hint I'd suggest a quick wrap of handlebar cloth tape (or similar) to keep it from sliding since attachment band is plastic and can slip on metal bar.the phone pack is perfect. I use a Palm Pixi (for size comparison), and it fits easily. This size would be a tight fit for an iPhone. the issue is with the fixer. Get it where you want it, and don't move it around. Tightening a plastic hex bolt with a metal hex key is always a bad idea. also, the tip of the fixer strap has cracked. I'm not moving it again, so this won't be an issue. If I had known to be more careful, I wouldn't have had any issues...that being said, its a great way to have your phone handy, and I'd buy another one if this one went missing.

- Can folded into triangle to support for iPad 2/3
- Plays as the stand for easy typing, watching and reading.
- Fit your Apple iPad 2/3 perfectly.
I compared this to the original apple cover and u can't really tell them apart.
The material feels great in the hand, very nicely made, and functions just as well as the original one.
After using both the apple cover and this cover, I think I'll stick with this in the future since the price is must less compare to the apple cover.this is almost the same quality of an authentic apple smart cover. it fits well, works well, feels nice, and has strong magnets both on the screen and on the side. it's much better quality than those fake apple smart covers that are selling for much more elsewhere. only difference is that the folds on the cover are a bit stiffer, so it will probably take some time to break inmy parents got their ipad covers from apple and paid something like $60. This one is the same style, clips to the side of my ipad, rolls up and cleans the screen. Also, it's pink instead of gray. I would definitely repurchase
