The stylus enables me to navigate with ease and goes precisely to my desired starting point.

The shipping came on time and as promised. Thank you for providing a timely as well an excellent product.

The green color is not nearly as lovely as it appears in the photo. This is a basic stylus that performs as one would expect. The ball on the end is a little on the "fragile" side and may not hold up to months of use. Hopefully, I'm wrong.

Moshi Concerti Hybrid Folio for iPad (Sahara Beige)

Moshi Concerti Hybrid Folio for iPad
  • iPad
  • Doubles as versatile iPad stand with various tilt angles.
  • Hybrid silicone inner case with Terahedron microfiber lining provides superior 360 degree shock and scratch protection.
  • Integrated hand pocket alleviates wrist stress when using the iPad handheld.
  • Includes detachable lanyard for added security and portability.

This is my second Moshi cover. I found the first one at a specialty Mac store in NYC that doesn't do online sales. When I bought my new iPad, I looked at all the products available here locally and at everything online. I even ordered one that looked good, but I was very disappointed when it arrived, and I actually saw it.

At that point I decided the only way to go was another Moshi case, since I have been so happy with the first one. Amazon had the best price and selection. Nothing else has the feel or texture of the Moshi, and the elastic strap keeps the iPad secure when it is closed. It costs a little more than several others, but it is worth the price. Go with the regular case, however, and not the higer priced one with the strap. That strap is a good idea, but the execution is flawed. It makes it hard to use the case, so you'll just detach it anyway.

I bought this thinking that it is for iPad 2 but when I receive it , I realized is too loose for iPad 2.. Thus b caution when placing order. Part of my mistake for nt checking n verifying before proceeding to order

The rubber holding on to the pad is quite thick .. Nt sure if a iPad 1 is fitted , will the rubber holder obstruct the pressing of the button.

Took more than a week after ordering to received.

The suede like material feels great !

I did not like the covers that only had one side and were magnetic...they did not "protect" the ipad2 from my kid! This one keeps it safe and we love it!

Want Moshi Concerti Hybrid Folio for iPad (Sahara Beige) Discount?

I bought this holder for my new iPad after researching several holders. I prefer a fabric cover over leather, so this one caught my eye. This is a nice alternative to the leather and vinyl options, the color I chose is the tan and is a rich color, no fading or mottling. The feel is very soft and I found that after a few months use it has held up well, no visible wear and tear marks. The stand portion works well. If you're looking at keeping your iPad on the light side bear in mind this holder adds a bit of weight, but on the other hand it serves as good protection. I found that I have to reach under the rubber edge to operate my control buttons as it is a thick rubber and the controls do no react when you press over the rubber. For me, this has not been a great inconvenience, but for some it may be. Overall I have been very happy with this choice.

When I read the specs for this cover, it seemed exactly what I was looking for -the rubber inner case provides the protection of the form-fitting cases while the cover and back outer case protects the screen and allows for angled viewing/typing. Were it not for one shortcoming I would give this product five stars, as it functions wonderfully. However, the faux suede material that the outer case is made of gets quite warm in the hand if you are holding the case for any extended period. After a few minutes, you almost feel like your hands are clammy. I'm not sure if this will be a deal breaker for me and will lead to yet another iPad case purchase, or if I will just learn to live with it -as I said, other than this, the case functions marvelously -but potential buyers should be aware so they can make the judgement call themselves.

Mini Rii Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard RT-MWK02+

Mini Rii Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard RT-MWK02+I've bought a few of these types of keyboards and all the ones I've bought in the past have been flimsy and junk and never really worked 100% right. This keyboard feels solid in the hand and well made. Works great on my ICS android devices, the mouse part of the keyboard even works, I get a small mouse icon on the screen.

This is the best mini keyboard I've had yet.

This works great for my HTPC, its Bluetooth stays connected when device is turned off, so when i click the TV over to PC just turn the little switch on they keyboard ON and it syncs and ready to go. This will not replace a real keyboard so don't plan on using it for writing long emails or anything like that but for basic browsing, email, chat and everything for a PC attached to a TV it works great. The track-pad works very well, i purchased other versions that were $100+ and this one worked the best.

Nice small keyboard. Comes with bluetooth dongle that fits inside the back of the board. Has lazer pointer that can double as a toy to play with cats.

This was purchased as an adjunct to a new Android phone that lacks a physical keyboard. The Bluetooth paired with my EVO 3D with no problem, and the touchpad even works well. A very nice addition for when one wants to make a reply without typing on the screen.

Hooked the product up fine to the smart TV via blue tooth. Tried to use it to choose movie and letters did not register, after repeated frustrated pushing of buttons, then registered multiples of same letter. Either you get nothing or multiple letters, no one letter with push of one button. Do not reccommend for use as intended with smart TV

POSRUS Antiglare Antifingerprint Screen Protector for Le Pan II Tablet

POSRUS Antiglare Antifingerprint Screen Protector for Le Pan II Tablet
  • Protects LCD display against scratches, abrasion and chemical resistant to protect the LCD screen.
  • Eliminates fingerprints on the screen.
  • Reduces glare from overhead lighting and provides a pleasing touch surface.
  • Installs easily in seconds.
  • Low-tack adhesive removes easily without leaving residue. Does not require solution, liquid, or "wet application."

i recommend getting latex gloves and putting them on before you apply the screen protector, it helps a lot. After applying the screen protector i was able to get all of the bubble out besides one that is about 1 mm away from the edge, and that is because a tiny piece of dust decided to test my OCD O.o But overall it is a great product and i recommend it to others.

Works as advertised. Take your time installing, I was unable to get all the air bubbles out but the ones that are left are near the edge and are hidden by the tablet case.

This screen protector is a must for the LePan II tablet. After purchasing the tablet I quickly realized how easily the high gloss screen got smudged and messed up. Excellent product. It fit perfectly just follow instructions (included) and enjoy a smudge free screen. The crispness of the unprotected screen suffers only minimal change but it's worth it.

Leapfrog Leapster Learning Game: Creature Create

Leapfrog Leapster Learning Game: Creature CreateThis game is great! Both my 2 (almost 3 year old) and my 5 1/2 year old sons LOVE this game and they can both do it. They often feud over this one and we have had to resort to major turn taking over this game. It is great as it teaches lots of cool stuff, plus they can really enjoy just being goofy and creative making all sorts of different creatures! This game is #1 at our house!

This game was good. I had bought it for my at the time 2 1/2 year old daughter. She is very bright and catches on to things quickly. This game amazed me what it taught her. I have personally played it and find it kind of fun. I am not quite sure the object of the game. I think it is to decorate the monster's house how you like it. The thing that is challenging is that you have to put shapes together in a certain way to make each and every thing. Like for instance the house. There are triangles, squares, hectagon, etc that go together into the shape of a big triangle. After putting the house together you get to design the outside, like color it or put patterns on it. Then you go inside and create the rooms by putting shapes together again. While you are making the items for inside the house it says the shape of each block. It gets more challenging as you increase the level for the child. You eventually have to start turning and flipping pieces with more sides to them to make it fit. There are timed games etc. Overall this game definitely does offer something for your children that the other games do not for the age group.

It's nothing special my 5 y.o played it for a day or so and then put it aside for good. The game may be of certain interest for younger kids, perhaps, 4 y.o. Graphics are pretty much standard and of a good quality.

Zen Design Protective Skin Decal Sticker for Nintendo 3DS XL Handheld Gaming System
  • Zen art-quality design.
  • The decal sticker covers the outer lid, the inner lid around the screen, the area around the control buttons, the underside of battery cover.
  • Thanks to the unique channeled adhesive, this skin decal is easy to apply, easy to remove, and free of air bubbles or sticky residue left behind on your device.
  • Defends your Nintendo 3DS XL Handheld Gaming System against scratches and scuff marks.
  • A slim-fitting design vinyl sticker allows you to use your Nintendo 3DS XL with most cases and accessories. It IS NOT a hard case cover or faceplate.

The designs and adhesive properties of this product are perfect.

My only complaint is that the smaller pieces designed for the 3DS are near-impossible to apply. I'm not sure if this is a simple flaw of the trade or a design flaw of the manufacturer...

Either way; I like it and would recommend it to others.

Chapin 61900 Tree/Turf Pro Commercial Backpack Sprayer SS Wand, 4-Gallon

Chapin 61900 Tree/Turf Pro Commercial Backpack Sprayer SS Wand, 4-GallonI bought this unit based on the good reviews of it. While it seems to be a fairly well built system, in my two uses of it, it has leaked both times! The first time I put a gallon of weed killer in it. About halfway through my spraying session I started feeling small drips on the back of my legs (wearing shorts). My wife was out in the yard too, so I asked her to take a look at it while I was still wearing it. She thought it was probably just condensation, so I kept going. While taking it off, the sprayer hose was fairly wet, so I decided it must have leaked a little.

The next time I used it I filled it with 3 gallons of weed killer. This time about 20 minutes into using it not only did I feel liquid running down the back of my legs again, I felt the waist band getting wet in back, and there was a significant amount of liquid running down the hose. I took the unit off and saw that there was a steady drip coming our of the bottom of the tank. In looking at it closer, it appears that the plastic clamp that wraps around the neck of the tank doesn't clamp adequately. By this time I have weed killer running all over the place including on my shirt, my shorts, the garage floor, etc. I plan to try to replace the cheap plastic clamp with a metal hose clamp, but you shouldn't have to do that, especially with the "pro" model.

While a back-pack sprayer is a very convenient way to spray, the big downside is that if it leaks, it's going to be running down both your back and the sprayer hose. I really don't like the idea of weed-killer getting all over me!!

If it wasn't for the leaking problem I would really like it.

This sprayer is of commercial quality! I have only used it a couple times so far but it only takes a few pumps of the handle to keep constant pressure. It is so much easier than the carry type sprayers I have had before it. I would recommend this sprayer to anyone who does much spraying at all, you will not regret getting one of these!

Buy Chapin 61900 Tree/Turf Pro Commercial Backpack Sprayer SS Wand, 4-Gallon Now

I have 40 acres so I need a dependable sprayer, and this one has not let me down.

Read Best Reviews of Chapin 61900 Tree/Turf Pro Commercial Backpack Sprayer SS Wand, 4-Gallon Here

I'm just a regular homeowner trying to keep my lawn (about 8K sq. ft.) green and weed free. Up until now, I have been using a hand-held sprayer that I purchased on Amazon. It has worked quite well. However, pumping consisted of taking the tank off my shoulder, pumping it up on the ground until it reached proper pressure, then putting it back on. Spray and repeat that every couple of minutes for an hour... It also came with a flimsy strap that cuts into your shoulder almost immediately.

ENTER the Chapin Backpack sprayer! What a breeze this thing is compared to the hand-held. The back-pack style harness is a total back saver. I no longer get the customary back/neck/shoulder aches and pains trying to over compensate for a 3 gallon container on one shoulder. Also, the Chapin hand pump is almost effortless. It is way less laborious than my previous sprayer. Also, since you don't have to remove the pack, it has the advantage of being capable of continuous spray, as you add pressure while you dispense.

The Chapin 61900 Backpack sprayer has turned the business of applying herbicides to my lawn from a chore into a reasonably therapeutic activity.

PS I have not experienced any leakage issues that I have read about in some of these other reviews. Although, admittedly, I do not expose mine to the same strenuous conditions as others probably do. Also, mine arrived with a nice scratch on the pressure gauge. I called Chapin, and they sent another one out immediately (no questions and free of charge). I had a whole new handle/gauge assembly within a matter of days. The company stands behind their product. Great (responsive) company and a great product!

Want Chapin 61900 Tree/Turf Pro Commercial Backpack Sprayer SS Wand, 4-Gallon Discount?

Used commercially. I've ran 10+ full loads with very little issues. Very easy to disassemble/reassemble. Made in U.S.A. of domestic and foreign parts.

Protective Decal Skin Sticker for HTC DROID INCREDIBLE case cover incredible-154
  • A revolutionary way to customize your device with Supper durable Ultra high gloss finish vinyl skin & High resolution digital printing with photo quality!
  • Precision cut to fit your device, scratch resistant protective shields with high-quality vinyl.
  • Supper easy to apply, with EASY Apply technology feature air bubble FREE in the application.
  • Non permanent adhesive allow easy peel off & leave NO sticky residue behind.
  • Thin enough to maintain compatibility with most accessories; tough enough to absorb the minor abuse from daily use.

This is very cute and made with a good material. It is made of thick rubbery-ish plastic and looks very cute (I've had lots of compliments on the pattern). It was received in a timely manner and in great condition with very good instructions but...even with the instructions, the front sticker was difficult to align correctly because of how thin the sides of the sticker are. Also, it should be noted that a screen protector doesn't really work with this because most of them extend all the way to the very edge of the sides of the phone and this sticker is there. I ended up taking off the front sticker (leaving the back stickers in place), putting a soft clear plastic case on the phone and using a screen saver for the front which has worked out great.

Proporta Nintendo DSi XL Waterproof Case - BeachBuoy

Proporta Nintendo DSi XL Waterproof Case - BeachBuoy
  • 100% Waterproof Case
  • Window dimensions: 115 x 88mm
  • Dimensions: 145 x 115mm
  • Closure System : two click seals and a velcro strip
  • Guaranteed waterproof to 5 metres/16 feet

Easy closure and so far seems to be waterproof, but can only be used with small items. This does not fit the DSi XL as Proporta claims. If I try to forcefully jam the XL into the pouch it will get part way in and then gets stuck. With electronics devices that are slimmer/narrower I can see this as a useful case for trips to the beach and pool.

It seems that Proporta are marketing this case on Amazon as a purpose built case for many different electronics devices do a search in Amazon on "Proporta Beachbuoy" to see a large range of Beachbuoy cases that are claimed to fit various specific electronics devices. As far as I can tell, though, these are all in fact the same case and so, if your electronics device is more than about 21cm around its cross-section, I would look elsewhere for a case.

  • 2.4GHz wireless technology.
  • Revolutionary new green product.
  • Biodegradable and environmental friendly.
  • Hand-carved out of 100% natural bamboo.

I got this in the mail and I was extremely exited. Right out of the box 2 keys didnt work up in the top right. The mouse was a 5$ mouse with only a different bamboo case. All of the keys were very loose and stuck out too much for my liking, also typing was very loud and "clackity". The battery door on the bottom of the mouse barely stayed on and had a small piece of wood sticking out of the bottom and it made the mouse drag. I tried sending it back and they said nothing was wrong and took off 20% of the original price when they gave me a refund which ended up being around 12$ that I lost. Dont buy this product, sure it looks nice but your paying 90% of the money for bamboo and 10% for the actual, terrible hardware.

This is a really nice keyboard. Ideally I would give it a 3.5, but it deserves more than a 3 so here we are at 4 stars. The keys have a good feel, just the right amount of resistance. The only suggestion I have is that a stain be used inside the engraving of the letters and numbers on the keys. As it is, one requires a bit of a strain unless you have perfect vision to make out the letters because they are pretty much just engraved into the bamboo. But if you want a break from metal, this is a good choice. The mouse is very well made and comfortable, too.

Like many people these days, I spend a lot of time on my computer. I LOVE this keyboard. One thing none of the reviewers have mentions is how wonderful it is to type on wood. Not something I would have anticipated really, in practice, making a big difference, but it does. It's different to touch wood (ok, bamboo) than plastic; such a treat. I've been using it for almost 2 years and I love it more and more.

I tried the aluminum iConcepts case and found that one to be very unsatisfactory. I recommend that you get this HP case instead.

8GB Flashblu 2

8GB Flashblu 2
  • Kanguru 8GB FlashBlu II USB 2.0
  • Flash Drive ALK-8G
  • USB Flash Drives

The one and only reason I purchased this particular flash drive is that wee little switch on the side; the one that instantly turns this into a read-only device. This memory stick is used on a nearly daily basis for cleaning up infected client machines, and with said little switch in the LOCK position, I don't have to worry about their infection coming home with me. So, provided that switch is in the right place, you'll have the "security" of a CD-ROM, but still have the flash drives ease of access.

According to Check Flash the write speed is around 8.5MB/s and the read speed is around 21.5MB/s.

One thing I would like to see changed is the location of the lock switch. Instead of being down by the USB connector it would be much easier to work with up by the lanyard slot. Other than that, if you need to be able to lock down your flash drive, this is an awesome product!

Buy 8GB Flashblu 2 Now

Do not get me wrong, this drive works well for what it intended, it is fully functioning flash memory, however compared to other 8 gig sticks it is a rather bit more in the price department. I already have memory sticks, and for any general use, would have passed this one by without a second glance, save for one thing. This is the only drive in a very long time that I found which has a built in write-protect switch.

This feature alone provided extremely valuable to me. I am a computer technician for a college, and as such am called upon to repair, scan, and disinfect computers. At one point, I would up infecting the flash drive that I used for virus repair. After that, I knew I needed to change, with Anti-Virus CDs I would up burning a new one every month, and with my old stick, I became a vector of infection. Looking around, I found this drive, and had to admit, the lock feature makes it worth the price.

The switch is easy to access, and easy to toggle, unlike the old 128 Attache's which needed a tool to actual manipulate the switch. Windows and Linux are blocked from writing to the disk when it is locked, and for security's sake I remove it before changing the locked status. (Meaning, I do not know if it can be toggled on the fly, and would rather not risk it.) If you are someone who has to deal with the risk of virus-infected computers, this is a good solution for any technician.

Read Best Reviews of 8GB Flashblu 2 Here

Been looking for years for a write-protect USB drive. Stumbled upon this one this past weekend. Started using it today. Absolutely perfect. I do a lot of virus removal on potentially infected systems. Now I can tackle em head-on without worrying about taking home whatever it is I just got out of someone else's system!

If the prices comes down, I'll be going after the 32 Gig!

Want 8GB Flashblu 2 Discount?

I do a lot of repair work of infected computers for my job, and customers get testy if you infect their computers with other peoples' viruses by sharing a USB drive between computers. With that in mind, I've had a steady need for USB drives with write-protect switches to allow me to safely move files onto an infected computer without worrying that the drive can be infected. The older drives I used are no longer available, and the write-protect switch on them was tiny and a bit of a hassle to flip, so I went around looking for a new replacement.

I found these. They're very bare-bones: no bells or whistles or encryption or bootable virtual OSes on them, but I didn't need any of those features and definitely didn't need to pay extra for those features, so that worked out fine for me. The drives are relatively sturdy in metal cases, and the write protect switch is nicely big and easy to flip on the side of the drive. Transfer speeds are okay; it's neither the fastest nor slowest USB drive I've used, fast enough for moving around the relatively small files I deal with when removing viruses. The plastic lanyard loop in the back lights up to show drive activity, and that's pretty much it as far as other features go.

If you're the sort to care, the little plastic cap that fits on the end of the drive is small and easy to lose. I keep the drives in my office and don't particularly care, but people who want to keep the drive in their pocket or in other less-clean environments may be concerned about that detail.

All in all I'm very pleased with this drive, it does exactly what I need without making me pay for things I don't need.

Save 12% Off

Me and a team of support technicians have been using these drives for years, upgrading the size every 2 years or so. The physical lock switch is imperative when dealing with infected computers. The case is strong, and I have never heard of someones drive failing. It is almost the perfect flash drive.

Except, I have to give it 4 stars, because it only has a lame plastic cap that is hard to keep track of, and the black plastic at the business end ALWAYS has problems and doesn't stay in place. I can't believe Kanguru has not fixed this in the years that this drive has been available. It doesn't cause the drive to fail, but it is annoying to deal with, and always flipps the write-protection switch when you take the cap off. All it needs is some good glue, come on Kanguru.

I actually use this as a camera case and find that the adhesive they use to secure the lining, starts coating the cameras display. Doubt I'll buy another one...

My husband has a flip-style cell phone and had tried another maker of this style of cell holder the magnetic clasp was too weak to stay closed. This one fits the bill. He wore out the first one so I surprised him with a replacement. Belt clip-on keeps your cell handy and secure. Highly recommend.

  • Bundled with CompactFlash Expansion Jacket, enabling you to add memory and functionality such as a modem or wireless LAN Card
  • Also comes with Conduit Peacemaker Professional Software for beaming information to and from a wide range of PDAs
  • 16 MB RAM and 16 MB Flash ROM
  • What's in the box: iPaQ 3135, Two Styli, Vinyl slipcase, AC adapter, USB cable, Rechargeable Lithium Polymer battery, CompactFlash Jacket, iPaQ Expansion Pack system, User Manual

The Compaq iPAQ 3600 series (specially 3630, 3650 and 3635) are really great units. I use my iPAQ as a replacement for several devices. As I usually have a 1GB IBM Microdrive in the iPAQ it works as the best MP3 Player yet (I have some 700MB of MP3 files continuously available) and still plenty of room in the MD and RAM. I also use a Lucent Orinoco for wireless connection, which allows me to chek my emails wherever I am at my place. The comprehensive software package (Inbox/PocketIE, PocketWord, PocketExcel, etc.) allows gerat functionality out of the box (you can add many shareware/freeware to increase that further (I recommend Resco's Utility PAckage for Zip compression/Decompression, etc.).

For travelling I am about to get a stowaway keyboard which will allow me to conveniently leave my notebook at home and conveniently check emails and eventual webpages.

My iPAQ was one of the very best purchases I made last year. As one of the very few PocketPCs to allow the use of cheap & standard PCMCIA cards such as:

Any NE2000 compliant Networking Card, which usually costs as little as $20

Some PCMCIA Modems (including the 3Com Cell Modem, which may be used along with your cell phone or landline)

Wireless NIC, such as the pretty standard Lucent/Agere Wavelan/Orinoco

IBM Microdrive up to 1GB (using this CF card with the PCMCIA adapter allows for better battery usage)

Kingston 2GB PCMCIA drive.

Much more...

I am anxiously awaiting the time I manage to get a CyNET Inc. CyPAQ (which is a dual PCMCIA slot for the iPAQ, along with their Wireless Cell/Modem, which allows one to use the iPAQ as a cell phone!).

I already got rid of my former MP3 Player and in the future I'll get rid of my Cell Phone too. All will converge into a single unit my iPAQ!

We recently installed Linux in one iPAQ and using teh very same PCMCIA cards we could run applications such as vic for video streaming, etc. It was quite impressive!

Last but not least I installed a PersonalJava JVM in my iPAQ and I can run any PersonalJava compliant code, such as my own H263 Video Decoder called jStreaming (http://jStreaming.com). That runs smoothly in my iPAQ. I am conficent that if you are thinking about getting this unit you'll not be disapointed. Do think about getting a Microdrive to go along with it tough.

***THIS REVIEW CONTAIN QUALITY INFORMATION***

Some complaints:

(1) Battery life is POOR (only last in terms of hours instead of days for other PDAs), especially if one uses a CF device with the included sleeve. Problem is CF memory is a MUST if you want to listen to MP3s. (2) Apparently Compaq still has not corrected the problem with dust getting into the screen. The dust reflect light from the backlit apparatus and is quite visible. A minor annoyance but one nevertheless. I recommend keeping the stylus silo occupied so there is less of a chance that dust will creep in. (You get 2 styli with the package so you can keep one in the silo at all time.) (3) The high-gloss silver finish of the iPaq is very bad with fingerprints, but if you keep the CF sleeve on all the time this problem would be minimized.

Productive recommendations:

(1) Don't get coerced into shelling out [the $] getting a CF modem; they are completely unnecessary. The only thing that modems are good for is emailing in real-time. Browsing regular html paged with the iPaq is neither practical or productive. (2) Make sure you get an AvantGo account. This makes an iPaq really worthwhile. (3) Make sure you install ActiveSync 3.3 and set up a relationship between your PC and your iPaq so that you can do email and access the internet (in conjunction with AvantGo). (4) Make sure you find MS Transcriber on the ActiveSync CD and install that puppy. This writing recognition program is AMAZING! (Transcriber is an different program from the writing recognition program in th iPaq, so you need to install it separately.) (5) Finally DO look through the iPaq Tour CD, there are some VALUABLE applications hidden in there that you can install.

Enjoy this wonderful lil machine!

I waited a long time to buy a handheld and spent weeks researching the pros and cons of the two I was most seriously considering, the iPAQ and the new Palm m505. When I finally bit the bullet and bought the iPAQ, I initially was apprehensive regarding its price and some of the "glitches" I read about on the Compaq website message boards. Let me tell you, I have had this thing for 6 weeks now and I absolutely love it. Once you have decided between the advantages and disadvantages of Windows Pocket PC OS v. Palm OS, I don't think there is a better Pocket PC out there. Putting aside the superficial factors about how sleek and cool the iPAQ looks, it does so many things and synchronizes so well with Microsoft Outlook, that I think it's the best handheld out there (notwithstanding the price). The calendar, contacts and other organizer features are excellent. The games I have downloaded are pretty good (I am looking for better ones -clearly Palm has an advantage here). I live in the city and play chess every morning on the subway -which is a fine distraction when coupled with a CD player on my ears. I am still working on how to get MP3s downloaded to the iPAQ.

What really sold me on this product, though, was the excellent quality of the screen -there are 5 levels of brightness to choose from; and the fact that I wanted color to go with it. I compared this to the Palm m505, and it was no contest. You could barely see the Palm screen in the store. Who cares about 65,000 colors v. 4900 when you can barely see the screen? This is one of the most important features of any handheld, in my opinion. The iPAQ memory is expandable, which will allow me to use it for a long time (barring any accidents). The handwriting recognition is excellent, and is much better than Palm's "graffiti."

The negatives I have read about and experienced re: the iPAQ are: (1) the slide-on expansion sleeves. People are complaining because there is no internal expansion slot in the iPAQ. Who cares? The sleeve does not add that much bulk and it's a fair trade-off for the other things you get. That said, the iPAQ is not necessarily something you can carry in a shirt pocket. I have carried it in a jacket pocket however, and it felt comfortable. (2) There isn't as much software out there for PocketPCs as there is for Palm products. I think, though, that due to the popularity of the iPAQ that is changing rapidly. Many of these games are free on Handago.com and Microsoft's PocketPC website. I downloaded a great chess game and a tankzone game that is just like "Battlezone" from the early 80s. I also downloaded "PocketQuake" for free, but need more memory to use it. (3) BATTERY LIFE. This is definitely a negative. I have constantly needed to charge this thing, so I bought a charging adapter for work and home. I take it with me whenever I travel. You can use this for about a day of regular use, then you will need to charge it. I have read that you can keep a Palm on for weeks without charging. Palm has the iPAQ beat hands down in this department, but then again, in my view, the battery drainage is due solely to the advantages I feel the iPAQ has over the Palm. It's a tradeoff. (4) Accessories will cost you. This is a product for people with money to spend on it. While you can get basic everyday usage out of the 32MB that comes with the iPAQ, you will need to buy at least another 64 MB of memory to really get the most out of it. (I haven't yet). Internet connectivity, which I would love to have, is still ridiculously expensive ($59.95/mo. with Omnisky). When this comes down and the connection rate improves (or I win the lottery), this will be a great thing to have.

The last thing I want to say is that it is a lot of fun exploring new things to do with the iPAQ. As with all handhelds, this is not a product like a washing machine that comes with clear directions on how to use its every aspect, particularly, downloadable software. The technology is still evolving, and it requires some work to find new things to download and use. I am still working on the MP3 issue, for example. But there is a growing community of users that provides advice on all aspects of the iPAQ on the Compaq website. It is a great feeling when you find something new to do on this product. If you are someone who likes things spelled out 100% and don't want to search for anyting -do yourself a favor and buy a Palm. Better yet, stick to a notebook. On the other hand, if you like a little adventure and have some money to spend on this fantastic organizer/MP3 player/toy/computer, I don't think you will be disappointed.

Want Compaq iPAQ 3135 Monochrome Pocket PC Bundle (with Compact Flash Jacket) Discount?

I have received mine 3 days ago, after about 6 months of using a Palm m100. PC synchronization, which IMHO is must feature in a PDA, works beautifully, I did not have to spend more than 10 minutes installing the new synchronization software over the old Palm HotSync, and I had all my agenda items, contacts, and notes, moved to the iPAQ.

All that and I have not actually had to install the included USB cradle yet this was all done via my notebook's IrDA port!

Setting up IrDA equipped GSM phone connection to an ISP also went pretty smoothly, and I was able to download emails using a motorola Timeport (TriBand) one day after I got the iPAQ.

Now to the machine itself certainly a LOT sexier than a m100 ... The screen really shines and the wealth of built in applications and add-ons is nice. email is usefull to an extent (vs. useless to my mind, in the m100). I also got myself a 'vaja' case, a class leader, it fits great, and is very convenient to use single handed opening and closure are almost as easy as with the m100.

Some critique -

The iPAQ, even though probably the most compact PocketPC PDA today, is still noticably larger and heavier than Palm Vx or m100, this could make a real difference to people who pocket carry their PDA all day long. I wouldn't even dare thinking about carriend one of these WITH an expansion sleeve in my pant's pocket.

The included soft case is inconvenient, purchasing a better replacement is almost inevitable. Also, the device metal case is very slippery, holding a bare device in your palm is uncomfortable because of this.

As bare bones, agenda /contacts manager, Palm would probably be the practical choice, if this is what you're after, then save your bucks and get one.

The pocket versions of window applications (word and excel), including email, MS money, can be usefull for many people though. Mainly because of the better screen (higher resolution, color, and clearness), and friendlier handwriting recognition (compared to palm). This, (and higher fun factor ...) make the iPAQ the more appealing PDA.

While color is nice, the price of a color iPAQ is not worth it when compared to this unsung model. Often overlooked the 3135 has all of the same features as it color siblings, Excel, Word, IE, Outlook, Calendar, Contacts, MS Money, but albeit with less RAM 16 compared to 32mb or 64mb for the color versions. However with the inclusion of the CF sleeve, which allows you to plug in CF cards from 8 to 256mb, the 3135 is the best PDA bang for the buck. And let's not forget the iPAQ comes with Windows Media Player, making it also an mp3, wma player, and it has the ability to record voice messages. With the CF sleeve and a few flash cards one can literally carry ones music libary with you where ever you go. Compared with the Palm Pilot, and Handspring Visor, this inexpensive jewel is perfect for the enthusiast, student or professional. After spending almost 6 months researching, playing with and talking with friends, neighbors and co-workers about which PDA to get I have yet to regret my decision.
