Seiko Thumboard Keyboard for Handspring Visor Deluxe, Neo, Pro & Platinum
- Perfect input alternative to stylus pen
- Light and small
- QWERTY key layout
- Connects directly onto handheld
- Compatible with Handspring Visor, Visor Deluxe, Visor Platinum, Visor Neo, and Visor Pro handhelds
After a couple of days, I'm falling in love. This keyboard has a lot of advantages over other 'portable' keyboards.
Size: Truly portable. Comparing it my friend's Stowaway, this thing just takes the cake.
Location: If you don't know yet, you slip this over the bottom of your handheld (in my case Visor). It stays in place remarkably well. It's rounded sides and larger profile, makes typing easy because the handheld is easier to hold.
Construction: Yes, it's plastic, but it's well made plastic. Everything has clean finished edges. I flexed my in my hand and it creaked a little bit, but not like it was going to fall apart suddenly.
In conclusion, I give this tiny but powerful keyboard four stars. It would have earned the coveted five star rating if it's keys were just a smudge bigger, or spaced out a bit more. If you have small fingers and great fine motor skills, you'll be typing out page-long emails in no time.

I have been using my thumboard with my visor delux for about a week now, and am getting pretty good at typing on it, but the software has one major drawback. It automaticaly boots to the application screen when you turn it on. I would like it to go to the last application I was working on like the visor does without the thumbboard. It is a pain to have to keep restarting the application just because I turned the device off or let it time out while taking notes. Other than that, it works great!Read Best Reviews of Seiko Thumboard Keyboard for Handspring Visor Deluxe, Neo, Pro & Platinum Here
1)When trying to install the software found it conflicts with the Targus Keyboard and hangs the Visor. Disable the Targus Keyboard driver before installing and the install will work ok.2)The Thumboard program interferes with the working of the alarm function. The alarm will sound but the alarm display is suppressed and you won't be able to deactivate the alarm. The only way to deactivate the alarm is to disable the Thumboard and reset the alarmed item to activate again. Then both the original alarm and the reset alarm will display and can then be cancelled.
Out side of these 2 items it works as advertised. The Manual is Tiwanglesh but is still understandable.

The thumboard I just received it today. You won't be able to type as fast as a fast touch typist, but you can do quite well enough. The keys are responsive and quick no lag time at all.
The portability is the biggest plus for me, as I walk everywhere, and am always trying to write things on my Visor using Graffitti.. I've gotten good at it, but it's still too slow.
But with the Thumboard, I can walk and type with my thumbs, plus just pop it off, and stick it in my pocket when I'm not using it.
That's the main thing I like about this: mobility. It also has an excellent balance to it.There's an annoying glitch when powering off my Visor Deluxe via the Thumboard half the time the unit goes into Hotsynch mode...I then have to physically pullout the Thumboard unit and turn the power off...no doubt this is probably not good for my Visor. I've contacted Seiko-Austin via email and they have yet to reply. Very frustrating!!! If I wasnt in Japan I would have returned this product back to Amazon. A friend of mine also had the same problem with his Thumboard...so be careful. If it wasnt for this pesky problem I would easily give the unit 5 stars as its works well otherwise.

NEW Compagno 2 Keyboard and Case (Input Devices-Wireless)
I decided to get this keyboard with case because the keyboard is removable and can be used from across the room if necessary.
The only draw backs are with the case in that the screen sits at only 1 angle and the iPad can't be rotated. The only fix to this is to remove the keyboard from case and then you can make adjustments.
All in all a good value compared to others in this class.

- Garmin StreetPilot c550 Portable Navigator (0100052200)
Only a few times I've had problems with it. One turn on the unit was too far down the road and into a field. Streets that have bends in them are sometimes considered TURNS. I think it's a matter of mapping and not the unit.
As with any mapping or location device, it's a tool and to be used along with common sense.
New maps come out periodically on DVD and the menu softwares are upgradeable through Garmins website for free.
This is the best money I've ever spent and Garmin, at this time, is constantly rated tops in Consumer Reports.

HP iPAQ 5450 Color Pocket PC
- Transflective TFT LCD, over 65,000 colors 16-bit, 240 x 320 resolution, 3.8-inch diagonal viewable image size
- Removable/rechargeable 900 mAh Lithium-lon battery
- Secure Digital memory card slot for transferring and storing music, picture and more
- Intel 400 MHz processor with XScale technology
- What's in the box: iPAQ 5450, slim removable battery, protective cover pack, universal cradle for USB or serial connection, extra stylus, AC adapter, charger adapter, Getting Started Guide, PC Companion CD
On the positive side, the device is fast, with outstanding pocketDIVX video performance and a sustained 2MBPS WLAN transfer rate (10 meters).
Bluetooth performance is deceiving, in spite of that, the concept of personal area network is quite interesting. But if you want to exchange some MP3s, you can expect transfer times that are comparable to the infrarred connection ones not much gain at all.
We often have to soft reset our devices, mainly due to WLAN config changes those are not reflected, or WLAN card not properly turned off, or WLAN reconfig not possible or rejected by the device. We certainly think the 5450 is not a mature product. Great concept, state of the art microelectronics and so on, but we think HP released a beta version, not a final release. An expensive one, indeed.
Buy HP iPAQ 5450 Color Pocket PC Now
I agonized at the tough choices I had to make: A) Stick to the Palm pilot series which I had been using for the last 3 years; B) Buy the HP 3950, the top model in the 3000 series; or B) Buy the new HP 5450.The Internet reviews of the HP 5450 were a mixed bag with some people stating that it wasn't a reliable machine, some going as far as saying that they had to make a hard reset every day.
I bought my HP 5450 about a month ago. Overall, I have been positively surprised by it's reliability. Many of the negative points stated in the December/January reviews have been dealt with efficiently by HP. For example the headphone jack on my machine is a standard headphone jack. With a 128 megabyte SD memory card, I have been using the iPaq as an MP3 player with no problems. The finger print reader works impeccably, always on the first time scan (I did have to practice for about 20 minutes using the training program supplied with the machine as you need to use a swift steady motion). The fingerprints are now saved in the ROM of the machine so that even if you do a Hard Reset (i.e. restore the machine to it's original configuration), the machine is still protected with you finger print. This makes your machine useless to any "would be" thief.
If you take the backlighting down to a reasonable level, you easily get 7 to 8 hours of battery use. I have a second battery which I have been using when I travel. I also have the option of charging the machine when I go on long trips as there is a standard adapter which allows you to plug in your power cord straight into the Ipaq (instead of through the cradle). There is also the option of slow charging directly through the USB chord so you could leave your power chord behind without being left completely stranded.
Both Bluetooth and WLAN connections work fine and are relatively easy to set up if your phone and wireless gateway are properly setup. They do use up more battery, especially the WLAN. I turn them on for a few minutes when I need to get/send my emails and turn them off when I am done.
There is also a nifty backup software which allows you to backup all the RAM contents into ROM (the Ipaq file store) so that if you go on holiday, you can backup all your programs and databases to restore them later in case your memory got erased due to an extended "power outage".
Size and design are exceptional. Only a little bit bigger and heavier than my previous Palm m515. The Windows Pocket PC 2002 software is even more user friendly than the Palm OS.
Please note that I bought my Ipaq in Hong Kong where it comes with a 1250Mh battery as standard. It seems that Amazon's is only 900 Mh.
A great machine... Well worth its price!

I'm a diehard Palm fan and still am. However the PocketPC filled an itch that I have never been able to scratch with the Palm namely web browsing. With the 5450/5455 I have been able to (within an hour) hook up to my WIFI system in my house, setup wireless synching and get up and browse the web. Something that I think would have taken multiple steps with my Tungsten.
Here are the things I like and dislike about the 5450/5455:
LIKES:
1. Integrated WIFI The wave of the future. No need to slap add-on cards or boards to the unit. It is all built in.
2. Color screen Bright and readable.
4. Active Synch Everything you enter to the unit can be automatically synchronized to your computer as you work -not just when you hit the synch button.
DISKLIKES:
1. The early 5450/5455 have intermittent problems with WIFI "Out of Memory" error messages.
2. The battery life is shorter than Palm-although I AM using the WIFI capability so will live with it (and I'm sure that is why the battery depletes faster).
Overall I am a little sorry to say that after a month of usage I CANNOT recommend the iPaq for anyone but the most diehard enthusiast. The device is wildly buggy on WIFI (reported in just about every iPaq discussion forum, requires numerous soft resets ever day and frequent HARD resets (ie All data gone bye-bye).
After about a month I've found this platform to be buggy, slower than Palm and just not as convenient. It does not break any new ground whatsoever for the average user. And to top it all off, the web browsing that I loved initially turns out to be dog slow -even when connected wirelessly to my DSL. Avoid this product.

I bought the device as my first Pocket PC. I couldn't get over all the integrated features, integrated 802.11b AND Bluetooth, consumer IR, etc etc. After I got the device and spent a few days playing with it, I started noticing a few quirks with the integrated 802.11b. First of all, every once in a while, when attempting to start the wireless network utility to turn on the wireless radio, I will get an error stating there is not enough driver memory. This is easily resolved with a soft reset of the device, but isn't something I should have to do in the first place. Ah well, that wasn't too big of a deal to me. Second, it uses the Atmel controller, and if you are looking for wireless network stumbling utilities like Ministumbler or Pocketwarrior, they will not work with it until they are ported for this controller. And last, being the biggest gripe about it, there is no integrated 802.1x authentication support, and I haven't found any 3rd party solutions. This basically means that if you plan to use this device in your place of business and 802.1x authentication is required to access your corporate WLAN, you'll have to get an expansion sleeve and a supported card and drivers. HUGE oversight on HP's part seeing as this device seems to be geared toward the corporate market. If your WLAN at work doesn't require 802.1x, you'll be fine. I hope that this will be resolved in a future software update, but for now you might be better getting the cheaper 3900 series, a compact flash adapter sleeve, and appropriate compact flash 802.11b card, especially if you plan on using this device for wardriving or connecting to an 802.1x secured network...[Supplement on 1-24-2004]
I still have the iPaq and am happy to say all the issues I complained about are resolved. The open source PocketWarrior program is available for wardriving with the Atmel chipset wlan chip built in. And with the Windows Mobile 2003 software upgrade you can purchase from HP, the device gets 802.1x support. New gripe, sometimes I have a hard time getting the device to sync via the supplied cradle, and have to revert to using a straight USB sync cable. This happens on TWO cradles I have. Sync issues aside, I love this thing! Upgrading rating from 3 to 4 stars...The unit DOA less than 3 months. At first, the price was great but now it sit as a paper weight on my table. If you see this item for less than what it used to be, forget about.

Hewlett Packard Jornada 728
- 206 MHz 32-bit Intel+ StrongARM+ SA-1110, 64 MB RAM
- 6.5 in CSTN Touch screen, 640 x 240 x 65,536 colors on screen, 2D graphics acceleration
- PC Card Type II, CompactFlash Type I, Smart Card reader slots
- Integrated 56 Kbps modem/keyboard
- What's in the box: Jornada 728, Stylus, AC adapter, Rechargeable lithium-ion battery, USB Docking cradle, Sync cable, User Manual
My system includes a 128 compact flash card (installs into the bottom of the 728) and a Socket low power 802.11b wireless network card which installs into the PC Card slot by using a PC Card/Compact Flash adapter .... The CF wireless network card will not work in the CF compartment on the bottom on the 728 because when inserted you cannot close the lid covering & securing the CF device. The CF compartment on the bottom will only accept CF devices the size of memory cards.
Even with the 802.11b card running I have yet to exhaust the battery. After 4 hours of computing it indicated ½ charge remaining. Overall I am very pleased with the unit. I mostly use the PDA pointer for navigating web sites, but when needed the key board works pretty good (takes a little practice getting used to but you do use both hands the same as a normal keyboard).
Instead of the Pocket PC 2002 operating system used by the newer 1/4 screen PDA's the 728 runs the Handheld PC 2000 Operating System (H/PC 2000). The H/PC operating system is not receiving the software support enjoyed by PPC 2002 devices. Consequently I had to purchase 3rd party MSN Messenger software ... and an NNTP news reader .... Also, there is no e-book reader available for it from Microsoft. The only other negative from my experience is it will not support streaming media from the Internet and no Real Audio player. I cannot listen to Internet Radio (not Windows Media or Real Audio). Lastly, I can't seem to get the VPN client to function correctly.
On the plus side, the 1/2 VGA screen is very usable and I have had great success using it to surf Internet and for web based mail (both Exchange and Groupwise). It also handles SSL. The 728's big plus is it usability, very usable screen and keyboard, and very portable (I do carry it often in my pocket). Battery life is excellent and the Terminal Services client works 100%. The audio quality with MP3 is VERY impressive (using headphones) and for what it lacked in shipped software, I was able to find 3 rd party (minus some way to steam medial). It also does a good job as a network client. I am able to connect to Windows 2000 servers and transfer files the same as from a desktop.
It does not have the functionality or software support of a laptop, but it is the next best thing!
Buy Hewlett Packard Jornada 728 Now
This is a big unit by Palm type standards. It's a no-nonsense handhelp that uses H/PC 2000 which, in my opinion, needs to be updated. However, I use it primarily for business use, and for that this is perfect. I added a 128 mb Flash card and have plenty of room for everything I need. There is not a lot of software that you can get for this OS compared to Pocket PC 2002, but it does have a good assortment for the typical business user. I enjoy the screen size and keyboard. The 728 performs well in sunlight and in a dim room.I bought the HP expandable case which is a very nice accesory that allows room to add business cards, notes, and a pen. The size in the case is about the size of a large woman's wallette and weighs over 1 pound. If you don't mind that, then this is the clam shell PC for you.

I bought this to replace my older Jornada 680e since it has a faster processor and an updated operating system (although it is almost a decade old). It does everything the older Jornada 680e does, and it can play MP3 music too. The sound is teeny and has too much treble. If I was going to use it to take notes only, I would give it a 5 star for the battery life and instant on operating system. But since I bought it to do other things besides taking notes, it does not do them too well. Remember that the keyboard is very small; so if you have big or fat fingers, you will not be able to touch type on this unit. But if you have small hands, you can type as fast as a full size keyboard, a big plus.Want Hewlett Packard Jornada 728 Discount?
Very good product. Excellent transaction good price, quick delivery, all is well. Thank you!Hewlett Packard gets closer and closer to the perfect clam-shell, handheld PDA. This sleek little number is certainly better than the competition, but it still lacks a key feature or two. I need to be honest and say that I don't own one, so the accuracy of my review is not complete. However if I am going to spend the money on a PDA, it better have everything I will need and desire. The two features that this PDA lacks are built-in Bluetooth, Wi-fi or Cellular components. Bluetooth is a technology that lets electronic devices such as PDAs, Cell phones and printers communicate with each other. With Bluetooth you could sync all or some of your phone numbers on your PDA with your Cellphone. You could wirelessly send a document to a printer. The applications are numerous and Bluetooth items are starting to come out now. Wi-fi is also a wireless technology, but is more geared to creating a network. Witb Wi-fi you could swap files between your PDA and your network, Send emails through your network server, and use your networks internet connection. You could do all of this with none of the, "which cable does this one use?", nightmare. For the asking price of $1K, I think HP could throw in a cellular card. That being said, all the normal software looks like it works like a dream. Microsoft has finally come out with both a descent operating software and pocket version of Office. HP throws in a pocket version of Quicken. If you are tired of rage-invoking PDA styluses, try the keyboard on the 728. Only a little smaller than a traditional keyboard, and very good tactile response.

rooCASE Multiple View (Magenta) Leather Folio Case Cover with 19 Adjustable Stand for Amazon Kindle
http://www.amazon.com/rooCASE-Ultra-Slim-Leather-Paperwhite-e-Reader/dp/B009LB2V3I/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1358453943&sr=1-1&keywords=roocase+paperwhite
Here is my earlier review of the case:
This case is hard to find on Amazon. So if you've reached this page, consider yourself lucky this is the best case out there, although few know about it.
I am hard to please and have researched all possible cases, going as far as exploring Canadian and overseas websites (I am a perfectionist)... After all, if the case bothers you, it will be with you for a long time!
First I had bought the iBLASON handsfree case in brown, encouraged by the great reviews and the stand-alone quality. I was disappointed it is an OK case, but nothing like the Roo. It made the Kindle 3 times thicker and of course, much heavier. It did not feel intuitive, the leather was too firm, not to mention, it did NOT have the option to detach the Kindle in its velcro-ed inner case that the Roocase has which I think is a major factor, because it makes the case lighter to hold in one hand (not that the Roocase is heavy, but it becomes even lighter and thinner this way).
Enters Roocase. From the moment I opened the package, I felt happy. When an item is high quality, it just makes your heart sing right when you see it.
1) The only reviewer here who gave this case 3 stars all else gave it 5 stars did not understand the purpose of the velcroed inner case, as was pointed by another reviewer; her second grievance that the screen was recessed and she couldn't thumb it I found nonexistent as well. No problem thumbing and reading with one hand whatsoever!
2) The texture of the leather is very good looking. It looks expensive and VERY well made. It has a wonderful grain to it. When I first put it on my Kindle, my jaw literally dropped. It was so beautiful.
3) The case is intuitive it just feels intelligent, soft-leathered, lived-in and multipurpose from the very beginning. You can detach the inner velcro-ed case, and read with ONE hand OR put it on a flat surface and let it stand on its own! Very handy when eating or doing something else.
4) Despite its complex beauty, the case "disappears" for you mentally, once on the Kindle, as it should.
5) At this mind-blowing quality, the price is a STEAL! I am convinced that Roocase is currently the highest-quality stand-alone case maker for eReaders.
6) I could even find space to stick in a stylus horizontally, on the bottom. Great!
(By the way, if you do own a Roocase, and find ANOTHER case of same or higher quality and roughly similar price range please leave a comment to this post. I'll be happy to know about it.)
When I woke up the next morning, the Kindle in its Roocase was the first thing I saw and it made me feel happy again. My heart was so content that I ordered another Roocase in Magenta for my Nook (i have both Kindle and Nook, due to the crazy competition between the two half of the books are available only on one, and half only on the other e-reader).
I am so relieved after so many hours searching picky me, finally I have a case to love. Whew!
It is unfathomable why there are so few reviews for this case...
Because no one can find it it appears only on page 20 if you search for a Kindle Touch case.... Amazon, this is a crime, given how hard it is to find a stand-alone case for the Kindle touch there are very few on the market, although they are the most comfortable.
It is even harder to find stand-alone cases with velcro (so when you want to hold the Kindle, you can detach the inner, lighter case from the outer, bigger case) it is a great feature! So this case should be on page 1, not page 20! ;-o
*
One minor piece of feedback for the Maker (if Roocase is eavesdropping): I want to see more colors. Besides Black, You offer only Magenta and Red I imagine mostly teenagers, or girly-girls will like these colors not serious readers, which I suppose is your target market. Please add more colors maybe silver, wine, olive green, yellow-green, or intense dark blue, as is now the fashion? There are so few stand-alone case choices on the market, and it is impossible to find a case that is funky (vs corporate) YET comfortable. So you will gain more following if you make more interesting colors. (And, if you ever do, please leave the central ribbed portion black don't paint it the same color it will make it more unique.) Secondly, the backing of the inner case is hard I'd prefer a soft and thinner backing. It does NOT bother me but it is a tad weird. I won't take points away for these, since none of them really bother me, and probably, no one but me would notice them. In conclusion, I can only say, keep up the great work, Roo!! Everyone else should buy this case immediately and cross this off your To Do list.
Thanks for reading my review and, if it was helpful, I'd really appreciate a click on the "yes" button. The seller was very good as was the delivery. The item was mediocre in that access to the controls is hindered slightly by the design. The case should not interfere or make it difficult to access the controls. This item has a lip that is too close to the down button making it distracting to perform that same function that is easy if the kindle is not in the case. Otherwise it would be nice.I wanted a standing case for my new Kindle Touch, so I had a limited selection. I finally decided upon this one based upon weight (not too heavy) and price.
This case has a small, fold-out easel attachment on the back that fits into slots on the front of the case when you turn it inside out. This works well, and it's great to have many angles to choose from. The case seems sturdy, and it seems like it will protect my Kindle well. I also like the color and quality of the leather--it's a beautiful crimson.
However, there are two small features of the case that could be better. First, the magnetic case closure is hard to close. You have to line it up carefully and press it hard. I have magnetic snaps on some of my purses. They close instantly, so I was expecting the one on this case to be easy to use, also.
Next, though fairly lightweight, the case is rather bulky. It puts a leather frame around the Kindle that fits into the case with Velcro. This way, you can remove just the Kindle with its frame to read it. While some may like this option, I don't like to take the Kindle out of its case, so I don't use it. It only gives the case one more layer, making it thicker than it has to be.
Other than those two points, I like this case. However, if I find a standing case that isn't so bulky, I might buy that instead.I find this product perfect. It is very handy. I was on a train trip recently and they have the fold down tables in front of you and I used the this product to prop up my Kindle with the notched ribs on the table. It was very comfortable to read the Kindle in this position. It also protects the Kindle as well. If there was to be one negative ,it is the magnet that holds the cover together,I personally think it should be a velcro connection instead of the magnet. The magnet does not seem to be strong enough.Kindle Fire Leather Cover by Marware, BlackThis case is so amazing and YES it does fit the paperwhite. I love how you can remove the kindle from the main case and still have it protected. Great investment.

RII Mini Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard - Compatible with Apple iPad PC and Mac , Built-in Touchpad Mou
The manual is well-written in English, with minor mistakes that shouldn't confuse too many people. The manual tells you the safety information, instructions on how to use the keyboard, and a small list of troubleshooting instructions in the back.
The keyboard is well-built; the body is sturdy, and doesn't feel like it will fall apart easily. It is lightweight, and feels like only half the weight of a TV remote. On the sides, it has a mini USB port, the laser and its button, the on/off switch, and a slot where the wireless receiver is stored. To use any functions of the keyboard, you must turn it on. I was glad that the keyboard had a built-in rechargeable battery, I'm not a fan of buying a bunch of AAA batteries to operate my gadgets. The laser isn't the strongest, but it fares well for presentation from about 50 feet away. The keyboard also has a white backlight; not too bright, not too dark, perfect for operating your computer in the dark.
Now, onto the top of the keyboard where most things are found. The letters are printed clearly, and the keyboard overall has a good tactile feedback; also, the keys are made of rubber, so it makes typing pretty comfortable. It has 4 LED lights on the top left corner; the first one indicates transmission activity, the second one indicates the battery charging, the third one indicates battery capacity, and the last one indicates caps lock. The top row of the keyboard consists of the F1-F8 keys (the rest are under the Fn of numbers 1-4), and the Backspace key. The Escape key is directly below the LED indicator lights, and the main keyboard pretty much begins from there. This is probably due to sacrifice for compact design, but the bottom row of the alphabets is moved over to the left a little, so you'll have to get used to it to avoid making mistakes. There's an Fn key on the bottom left, it can be used to access additional functions on the keyboard, such as PrtSc, volume and media control, and Ctrl+Alt+Del. The right side of the keyboard is reserved for the touchpad, mouse buttons, and the arrow keys.
I plugged the USB receiver into my laptop (Windows 7 64-bit), and the drivers installed immediately without any actions required. Turned the keyboard on, saw the lights come on, and I was ready to operate. I was surprised at how I could actually hold it in my hands while typing with ease. The touchpad works great for me, and is sensitive just like my laptop. The arrow keypad is a little odd, but I'm sure if I used it more I can get used to it. Pressing the keys is easy, it doesn't require any strength. The keyboard also has an auto sleep feature, where if it is inactive for a long period of time, it will go to sleep, saving a bit of battery (although it is recommended to turn off the keyboard when not in use).
This keyboard is perfect for work and home. It has a range of around 5 meters (~15 feet), so it's good for plugging your computer up to a TV and controlling it from somewhere cozier than your chair. For $30, this is a pretty neat little device. Give it a try! If it breaks, not to worry, LaptopMate has an 18-months warranty, and a good return policy.
PS. This is perfect for controlling my laptop on the TV, in my bed at night! Endless midnight entertainment, here I come! :DI was very pleased initially with this device to control my home entertainment system computer from my couch and ordered a second one in case the first got damaged. I must be psychic because the day after the new one arrived, the first one was no longer recognized by the laptop. I never turned them on at the same time so they didn't cancel each other out. The first one just died and I felt lucky to have a new spare on hand. But then the new one malfunctioned after only about an hour's use. Is my HP laptop killing these things? I don't think so but I've had it with them. The owner's manual says nothing about any warranty or how to have it repaired. I'm waiting to hear from the Amazon Market vendor and I'm sure he'll say he just ships boxes, not repair anything. These devices seem to be made in China. I've changed my rating from 4 stars to 1 star. It worked great for a very short while, then kaput! The keyboards backlight does not stay on, only lights when first turned on. The pointer does not work and the manual is deplorable. This has worked so great ! I use for my Mac that is hooked up to a tv and you can right click!!!!! I know that does not sound like much but for a Mac it is . Touchpad also is smooth a little small but overall accurate . The battery life is also amazing it turns off while not using and you only have to click any button twice for it to come out of stand by. For 20 bucks it can not be beat, I hope this helps your shopping!
PingpangThe RII shipped fast and I could not wait to use after reading all of the good reviews. After unpacking it I noticed that the F2 key was not seated properly and I could not depress it. After getting it up and running I found that only half of the keyboard lights up. It would have been nice if they just assembled it properly. The instruction booklet is a joke though you really don't need it, just plug it in and go on Linux. I gave it 3 stars because it really is cool.

Canon BJC-55 Color Bubble Jet Printer
- 720 by 360 dpi print resolution
- Desk-top quality printing in a compact model
- Built-in USB and Fast IrDA
- Prints black text at 5.5 pages per minute, color text at 2 pages per minute
- Convenient wireless printing from compatible computers or hand-held organizers
The printer is just the perfect size to slide in to my briefcase, and adds little weight. It's battery operation is really what caught my eye, it says you can print about 100 pages with a full charge, but I think its a bit less than that. However, the battery takes little time to charge.
I was not aware it would come with as much ink as it did, came with 2 color cartidges, 1 black (small), and 1 black (large), as well as two trays that they are held in. The Fast IrDA is such a fabulous thing, wireless printing all the way. I decided to purchase a USB cable, its much easier some times using the cable then the IrDA (Infared) port. The quality of the documents is fantastic, matching (and beating!) my desktop printers at home. The speed is good, considering this is a portable printer. The only real drawback is that it is a single sheet feed printer, unless you buy the paper loader, which I will surely do! This is THE BEST portable printer I've found on the market, it is well worth the money.
This is a small update, I've been using the printer for about 5 months now, and everything has gone smoothly. I purchased the auto-sheet feeder from Canon (directly, from their web site) and it performs just like a normal desktop printer would! I'm still loving it.

I needed a printer to go with my Notebook and this one filled the bill. It isn't cheap but you seem to get what you pay for. When at home, adding the Auto Sheet Feeder makes it as convenient as a stationary printer but with a smaller footprint. Highly recommend this one for the Notebook users.Read Best Reviews of Canon BJC-55 Color Bubble Jet Printer Here
I bought this printer for my Palm Vx. It works flawless with printboy. would buy againWant Canon BJC-55 Color Bubble Jet Printer Discount?
I watched this printer for years and I was waiting for the price to drop. I finally caved in a bought a refurb 1 year ago.Pro: Lightweight 2Lbs(with battery), USB, battery powered, comes with AC adapter, size is small to fit in a back pack. Works with my Tablet PC software.
Con: High quality mode is slow compared to today's printers as well as resolution. Old type of feeding one page at a time. Could not get the IR to work. I suspect that my computer IR is not compatible. I just carry a very small USB cable.
I have looked at the current portable printers and they are all 5-6LBS. Yes they probably have great quality and photos but I don't need that. My purpose for this printer is to do quick print outs of 2 to 3 page reports, drafts and boarding passes. It fits so well in a computer bag with my slate and some paper.
The company that can produce a better quality printer with this size and weight will make money. That is probably why this printer has not dropped much in price even used. It's the year 2006 and it sells higher than the current canon and hp used.I JUST BOUGHT THIS PRINTER FOR MY LAPTOP.
IT WAS VERY EASY TO INSTALL AND EASY TO WORK WITH. THE PRINTING IS GREAT, AND QUICK FOR A BUBBLE JET. THE COLOR IS VERY GOOD.

Tiny Bluetooth Wireless USB Adapter Dongle (Black) Windows Vista/XP/2000 Plug and Play
Buy Tiny Bluetooth Wireless USB Adapter Dongle (Black) Windows Vista/XP/2000 Plug and Play Now
I purchased 2 of these cheap little things. The black cap on 1 of them has broken already so I'm glad I did buy 2. I bought it so I could print bluetooth to my printer and that's working so it ok. I'm using it in a Canon MP470 but I wouldn't recommend it because the usb port is recessed so you have to get it out you have to fight, but if you don't intend on taking it out then you are fine.I bought 3 of these becasue they were so cheap... When I got them I discovered why...they are pieces of crap. one of them I couldnt even connect my bluetooth device too it, the second one would connect if I held it with 2 ft of the adapter and the third would actually connect as long as the device was within 4ft. Total waste of money...
