Compaq iPAQ USB AutoSync Cable

  • Synchronize your iPAQ Pocket PC at home and the office
  • USB-compatible connectivity
  • 3-foot cable connects iPAQ to your PC
  • Connectivity without needing to carry a charging cradle with you

We have been using this cable with our 3650 model systems to connect to a gps unit for data collection and for syncronizing out in the field with NT systems and it works great for that. However, we got some new 3850 ipaqs, and they have changed the connector, so it does not work with 3850, so just be forwarned!

Pandigital PANSCN08 Handheld Wand Scanner, scan up to 8.5-inch x 14-inch, Purple

Pandigital PANSCN08 Handheld Wand Scanner, scan up to 8.5-inch x 14-inch, Purple
  • Includes rechargeable battery
  • Can scan pages up to 8.5 wide by 14 inches long
  • Images are scanned up to 600dpi and can be saved as JPEG or PDF files
  • No PC required, scan directly the microSD card on board
  • Easily create editable electronic files from scanned documents

I was so excited about this product, as a teacher I have tons of lessons, manuals and just stuff I run across at library's and workshops I wish I could copy for classroom use, and this seemed like perfection. But the included SD card that the PageManager program is pre-loaded on is defective. On top of that, although you can plug the scanner directly into your computer you can't scan anything much less calibrate the poor thing without a working SD card.

Contacted the Manufacturer's Customer Service department and the advised me to try and copy the program on to my computer with the MicroSD's Adapter and purchase a new SD card, really? Apparently, they have no more and the company the partnered with for this product is out of business. So if you get a dud there is really no recourse. I brought my brother one for Christmas I hope his works well.

Don't even bother with this model, their are cheaper versions which are made to function with any MicroSD card, just generally aren't included. I choose this one because with SD card and specific program I thought it would be user friendly and straight-forward. Nope

Metro Vacuum DVR-1 DataVac 3-in-1 Cordless Desktop Computer Cleaning System

Metro Vacuum DVR-1 DataVac 3-in-1 Cordless Desktop Computer Cleaning System
  • Compact, lightweight, portable high powered vacuum/blower
  • Cleans dust and dirt from computers and office equipment, cuts maintenance costs.
  • Less than 7" long, and weighs 8 oz., cleans the smallest places
  • Includes 3 in 1 power unit charging station, 4 rechargeable batteries, 110 volt ac adaptor; micro extension tool, micro dust brush and blower adaptor
  • One year warranty

I purchased this item hoping to put an end to all the compressed air cans that I use to clean. This was a waste of money and time all the thing does is make noise and give a slight breeze. You could easily blow more dust off of your equipment with your own lungs, even if they are filled with tar, than you can with this blower, and you might as well just scoop up anything that you want to use the vacuum to clean. I was very disappointed in this product.

Buy Metro Vacuum DVR-1 DataVac 3-in-1 Cordless Desktop Computer Cleaning System Now

If I live to be 140, I know my last dying gasp will produce more suction than this "vacuum." It is basically useless in other ways as well. The bristles on the brush attachment are far too stiff, rendering them incapable of curling around small components to loosen dust particles underneath. The exhaust vent (which doubles as a rather asthmatic "blower") is positioned in such a way that it actually blows much of what little dust is picked up back into the item you're vacuuming. And to top it all off, when I placed the unit into its charging station, it would not seat properly on the leads, so it wouldn't even charge. In short: just another made-in-China piece of junk.

The charger is very convenient. Power related to AD/DC is extremely useful. High-tech design and features. Sucking and blowing power does not measure up to the price. It has an extremely disappointing performance. It feels like a child toy rather than a useful tool for a personal computer or laptop. Will not recommend anyone to purchase this item due to the lack of performance.

I was hoping to buy a small handheld vacuum for my office and computer hardware (keyboads, air inlets, and what have you). However, the DataVac has so little power, even after a full charge, that it's next to useless. I can't recommend it.

Portable Finger Hand Held 4D USB Mini Trackball Mice Mini USB Mouse Off Table Without limitation of

Portable Finger Hand Held 4D USB Mini Trackball Mice Mini USB Mouse Off Table Without limitation of operational spaceThis piece of junk lasted all of 2 days before it quit rolling "down". You can tell the design and workmanship of this worthless thing is pure Indonesia sweat shop. No durability whatsoever. I remember Logitech made one of these years ago and it worked fine forever. This thing obviously copied their design with none of the quality. Wouldn't give 3 cents for it. Cost me $18 with shipping. What a piece of junk....Don't Buy This!!!!!

This "One Finger Mouse" works exactly like I hoped it would and has made it a lot easier to navigate around when sitting my recliner. I really don't like using the touch pad on my laptop and using a normal mouse can be cumbersome on the chair's arm, so was looking for a "track ball" type mouse. Here are my observations:

Pros-

+ Intuitive; easy to figure out, holding it in your right hand (works in either) the Trigger is "Left Click", the Left Button is "Scroll" (use the "Track Ball"), Right Button is "Right Click", and the Track Ball moves the pointer with the pad of your thumb

+ Ergonomic; comfortable and feels natural, can be used for hours without strain

+ Plug-and-Play; my MS Vista laptop did not require any drivers

Cons-

Light Weight; has no heft and seems fragile (but hasn't stopped working)

Note: Other reviewers have suggested roughing up the ball with fine grit sandpaper if the ball stops working smoothly, haven't tried it but will update the review if it turns out to be needed.

This was a good find for me and overall I am very pleased with it.

Recommended!

Note: this item is offered by several different vendors on Amazon and I was able to find it eligible for "Prime" shipping.

Cisco Aironet 1140 Series AIR-AP1142N-x-K9 802.11a/g/n 2x3:2 MIMO Standalone Wireless Access Point A

Cisco Aironet 1140 Series AIR-AP1142N-x-K9 802.11a/g/n 2x3:2 MIMO Standalone Wireless Access Point AP
  • Part Number: AIR-AP1142N-x-K9 (Dual-band Standalone 802.11a/g/n AP)
  • Does *NOT* Include Power Supply; Requires either Power Injector (AIR-PWRINJ4=), Local Power Supply (AIR-PWR-B=), or 802.3af Ethernet Switch (requires 16+ W)
  • 802.11n Capabilities: 2x3 multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) with two spatial streams (2x3:2)
  • Mounting: Includes easy-to-install, multipurpose mounting bracket; UL 2043 plenum rated for above ceiling installation options or suspended from drop ceilings; Locks for theft protection

Setting up a Cisco Aironet device is not for the fainthearted. These devices are primarily designed to be used in large enterprise applications where a control system does all the configuration and management of the device for you.

That being said, it is possible to use the standalone version via command line configuration, or built in web server. Just don't expect the configuration to be easy or simple.

I had an application for multiple SSIDs, with each SSID being on it's own VLAN. The Cisco Aironet did the trick nicely. Add in the dual radio, as well as MIMO and you have the ability to hit 300Mbps through the device (MCS 15).

A final quick note it is possible, and supported by Cisco to upgrade / cross grade from a standalone device to a lightweight access point device that can be connected to an Aironet controller. This is well documented on the Cisco Connect website, which means this is a great startup investment, and as your company grows, you can purchase the controller down the line.

Happy Networking !

-Added comments below in September 2012 --

It appears that Cisco do not provide firmware updates for these devices without a support contract. People buying as end-users should beware that they will forever be stuck on whatever firmware revision they have unless they are prepared to pay exorbitant cisco maintenance contract prices. The version of devices I bought a year ago were IOS 12.4, and there is now IOS 15.2 available for these units....

Cheers !

Would have given this 5 stars but the price tag.

USE the channel scan feature 5-10 times to find a clear channel and this thing delivers the goods. We are covering 7000 sq. ft. with partition walls, no drops, great throughput, etc in an office building where you can pick up 20+ SSIDs easily.

Works fine with generic POE adapter as it meets the a/f standard. It has been running for months, no issues, not even a power reset.

I set a few of these up in standalone mode via the IOS console. We're using an HP switch with PoE to power them. This was my first IOS device to configure, and I found the process straightforward. I also like that these can switch to a managed mode for use with Cisco wireless controllers if we need better wireless client management and hand-off.

We've had some issues with Android devices maintaining a connection, but I'm pretty confident it's related to the configuration we're using.

No power cord came with the unit!

Seems cisco sells them separate!

Of course the access port will only work with their cord...

Sliver Stylus Ballpoint Pen 2 Color lnk for iPad, All iPhone, 4S and All Capacitive Touch Screen Dev

Sliver Stylus Ballpoint Pen 2 Color lnk for iPad, All iPhone, 4S and All Capacitive Touch Screen Devices
  • Measuring 4.75 inches; Color: Silver
  • Left twist for black ink and right for red ink; Solid metal material; Soft rubber tip.
  • Compact and light weight design, easy to carry. Can be clipped in your pocket, book, diary, etc.
  • Compatible with Apple iPod, iPad, iPhone, iPhone 4S or any other capacitive touch screens.
  • Keep your screen free from scratching and fingerprint.

To begin, the quality of the stylus is great, its sturdy and the weight is perfect. I really cannot tell whether the material is steel or some type of alloy metal. The fact is the metal qualities allows your fingers to feel surprisingly good and the size is perfect to carry in your pocket. Now, the writing is smooth for the most part and you do have two inks to choose from. The only draw back I can tell of is the rubber tip use to write on electronic devices. It is not a match maker when it comes to screen protectors as the sensitivity level is low. Though if you don't use a screen protector than the stylus is perfect.

I was very pleased with the stylus ballpoint pen set. The stylus is easy to use with my iPad 4 even with a screen protector Spigen SGP The New iPad Screen Protector, Ultra Crystal SQ (SGP08853). The pen writes smoothly and I love that each pen contains two colors. The compact size makes it easy to stick in my purse or iPad case.

Update: 2/6/13

I have order two more sets! I gave my first set to my parents who found them very easy to use as they are new to iPads. When my husband tried one he declared it was much better than his current one, so I order a set for him to split with a friend. And I ordered another set for myself. At a local store, they want you to sign with your finger for your purchases on an iPod . Each time I've pulled out my stylus while the employee tells me that "it probably won't work". They were amazed when it did and asked where I had gotten my stylus. This product is a definite win!

A very nice looking silver stylus ballpoint pen !! It even has two colors of ink .

Twist the pen to the right, black ink,or twist to the pen to the left and red ink.

A very nice slim ballpoint stylus pen!!!

TASCAM TMST1 Condenser Microphone - Cardioid

TASCAM TMST1 Condenser Microphone - Cardioid
  • Built-in 1/8" stereo output cable
  • Switchable from 90 to 120 degree pickup
  • Tabletop stand and windscreen included
  • Excellent mono compatibility
  • AA battery included

I just bought the Tascam TM-ST1 for use with my Edirol R-09 generally for recording live rock/alt rock performances (with permission, of course!). While I have not yet used it to record any live performances, I did manage to run some (unscientific) tests using my Stereo's CD player as music source with this external Tascam microphone and I also recorded the exact track with the Edirol using a powered Aiwa CM-30 electret condensor mic and the Edirol R-09 built in stereo mics for comparison.

I recorded the same CD song with each of the three mics and I also recorded with the Tascam mic using both the 90 degree and 120 degree cardiod settings. I've concluded that the Tascam did not produce a very warm sound, sounded "tinny" and seemed to be lacking in it's ability to reproduce a good, deep, bass response. In general I prefered the built in Eridol mics over this which to me defeated the purpose of buying the Tascam mic in the first place. The Edirol R-09 built in mics produced a nicer bass response in the recordings (perhaps a bit too much bass but at least I can adjust the levels when transfering or listening). In general, the TASCAM TM-ST1 120 degree degree mic recording sounded better and much fuller than the 90 degree setting -however this may not work for me as I prefer a minimal amount of crowd noise from crowds off to the side and behind me(I probably need to consider purchasing a 6-8 foot mic stand). Based on this initial test, I'm afraid that this mic probably will not live up to my expectatons at the going price of $65-$70 and may be better suited for recording discussions.

The mic is attractive and the mic base and lower casing is made of a good, heavy grade of metal -after you remove the casing to put in your battery you notice that there's not much to this mic. Hopefully I will have an opportunity to test this mic in the setting originally intended and report back with an update.

Tascam TM-ST1 Stereo Microphone This mic does a good job in recording Stereo on my PC & Canon FS-10 camcorder. I am impressed by the left/right seperation & center channel. No problem with noise from camcorder issuse as I HAVE heard from another reviewer. You have to play with it a while & then you will get great results with it.With the Ashampoo Music 3 I get great sounds from such a low cost stereo mic.

Great microphone. I bought it to capture radio-quality audio in the field with my DR-07. In a pinch, I've even recorded commercial voice-overs at home and transferred the files quickly and easily with no one knowing the difference between using this mic or the $300+ EV's we use at the studio.

Good use of my money. It'll do the job for you, too.

Great mic for the money. Used it to record my daughter's band concert. Much improved sound over my camcorder's mic.

Save 70% Off

I first used this microphone in a Church to record a song being sung live in memory of my aunt. The recording was outstanding. The microphone does a wonderful job of picking up the highs and lows with excellent clarity and no distortion. The heavily weighted vertical stand does well on level or near level situations. In my case, I laid it on a piece of cloth on the seat beside me with the wind cover in place. This is necessary because the microphone is very sensitive and should be placed so that it cannot be touched or disturbed by extraneous vibrations.

In addition, I have recorded several book readings (which was what it was initially intended for), and have been very pleased with the tonality of the recorded playback. This microphone is the perfect addition to the Tascam field recorder and will satisfy probably 90% plus of any user's needs. I highly recommend it.

iKeyboard Touch-type on your iPad keyboard For iPad 1, iPad 2, and iPad 3-black

iKeyboard Touch-type on your iPad keyboard For iPad 1, iPad 2, and iPad 3-blackI received this items today with much anticipation, having seen it on the internet. Like my iPad, it is simple to use, yet elegant in design. No usb this, battery that, no wires, nothing. It is just an ingenious good idea that plugs a huge hole in an obvious Apple assumption-that people will just love to type on glass. People who have suction cups on their fingers will not need this; only people who hate typing on glass. I like the feel it gives me and I love the ease in which it can be removed. Hey, guess what? No marks on the iPad! What black art has engendered such a contraption? Thank you, oh wizard, from the bottom on my fingertips to the summit of my cerebral cortex!

I love this keyboard. I compose long essays using the "Pages" app on my iPad 2 and this keyboard increases my speed and accuracy. For the first time, I'm able to touch-type on an iPad. Plus, it adds no weight to the iPad, unlike my bluetooth keyboard, which makes my back pack as heavy as if I was carrying a laptop.

Buy iKeyboard Touch-type on your iPad keyboard For iPad 1, iPad 2, and iPad 3-black Now

It has been a joy to get a 'real' keyboard I can feel, but still experience the mobility of the iPad. I can touch type again knowing that the F and J keys are right under my index fingers!

Read Best Reviews of iKeyboard Touch-type on your iPad keyboard For iPad 1, iPad 2, and iPad 3-black Here

I had read about this startup company raising unbelievable funds to produce this incredibly cool keyboard that attaches to the iPad, so that when its touch keyboard was on the screen, this would overlay it and you could now touch-type, avoiding all the errors a non-tactile screen keyboard inevitably produces.

I ordered it immediately as soon as it became available. I thought it would be perfect, and the $35 price, although hefty for a thin piece of plastic, seemed reasonable to avoid the mistakes and not have to lug around a bluetooth keyboard. In theory, it was great.

In reality, it was AWFUL! It did overlay the iPad's keyboard perfectly, but only when in landscape mode. Even that was okay. It did cause distortion and a moire effect when looking at the screen keys through the domed thin clear plastic keys on the overlay. Very distracting; but even that was okay. What was NOT okay, and what I didn't expect, was that it was much, much MUCH more difficult to type while pushing down on the domed plastic see-through "keys". Even if typing on the iPad's virtual keyboard does cause errors, everyone who has used it knows it is light-touch effortless. Suddenly, you have to push these plastic domed "keys" down very hard--no touch will do--only one, sometimes two good pushes of the "keys". And, it is not intuitive for touch-typists. I am a very fast touch-typist, and the awkward plastic partitions between the "keys" felt very peculiar and uncomfortable. It was nothing I felt I could, nor wanted to, get used to.

The idea of adding tactility to the iPad keyboard was a fascinating idea, and I can still see a possibility for it, if it is made of something else. The hard plastic frame that goes around the entire keyboard and between each key is bulky and awkward, and definitely uncomfortable to use. The crinkly clear plastic that forms the see-through key covers is just that, crinkly, distortive plastic, and is in no way intuitive or even easily touch responsive to the screen keyboard. The iPad loses all of its delicate touch, and you end up mashing crinkly plastic domes. It took me easily 10 times as long to complete an email; I had to type absolutely everything twice.

I am returning it, and thinking of the tried and true adage about never buying the first generation of anything. That is certainly true with this. They should go to more of a static cling overlay (NO PLASTIC) which, perhaps has double layered but solid "keys" that afford a tactile experience, can see through, is easily removed, but works with the same soft touch we have come to expect with the iPad. This has the kernel of a great idea; it is just not ready for prime time or cost.

Want iKeyboard Touch-type on your iPad keyboard For iPad 1, iPad 2, and iPad 3-black Discount?

It takes some time to get used to typing on this and I cannot confess to have entirely mastered it, but it certainly enables you to move far closer to touch typing than you would have thought with the iPad. It is light, not adding anything to the iPad's weight or size and so can be easily brought with you without thinking, its shortcomings are those of the iPad, in that the screen is barely big enough to take a keyboard. Overall very happy with this and have recommended it to a number of others.

I got this calculator at Big Lots for a quarter of the price on here. I got it because it was cheaper to buy a new calculator than to by a new battery for my old basic 8-digit calculator. It seems to work for what I need it to do: balancing my checkbook, conversions in the pharmacy, etc. It has some advanced functions: memory, +/-, square root and a key to add a percentage. 120 [MU] 25 [%] = 160 The reason I took off one star is there is no case or cover, so I have to very careful when I carry it in my purse or pocket. My old one had a hard case it slid in and out of to protect the display from damage. Also there is no off button, I have not really monitored it to see how long it stays on inactive (package says around 8 minutes). also waiting to see battery life, package claims 3 years at one hour of daily use. A pretty decent deal, but shop around.
