HP 2311x 23-Inch LED Monitor - Black

HP 2311x 23-Inch LED Monitor - Black
  • Full HD 1920 X 1080 resolution
  • 3,000,000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio
  • LED backlighting
  • Ultra-slim 23-Inch diagonal monitor
  • 170/160 degree viewing angles

This 23-inch HP display is an improvement over previous HP offerings in 3 regards. It's a cleaner, more elegant design, it's thinner and lighter, and it's more energy efficient.

The primary improvement of this display is driven by its use of next-generation LED back-lighting instead of compact fluorescent bulbs, which contain mercury vapor. The benefit of LEDs is several-fold. One is the elimination of the mercury, which is an obvious environmental boon. Two is the significantly greater energy efficiency of the LEDs over the compact fluorescents. Three is that the LEDs are brighter and will maintain their brightness longer than fluorescent bulbs, which will extend the usable life of these displays. Four is that the LEDs are smaller, allowing for a thinner, lighter overall package. Finally, the LEDs give off a fuller spectrum of light than the compact fluorescent bulbs, giving brighter, more vibrant colors with greater saturation.

Indeed, the display is noticeably thinner than previous iterations, and considerably lighter. The design appears less bulky, more svelte. They also decided to go to an all glossy black design, with some texture to give the appearance of two-tones. It's simpler than the two-tone silver and black of the previous HPs. I like the economy of this approach, which gives some appearance of sophistication without being too showy. The design is consistent with most of the HP line clean lines, and simple, elegant forms, with understated repetition of the HP branding on the front and back.

It comes in a very narrow box. You do have to do a bit of assembly, but it's trivial. I recommend testing the display before snapping it together, just it case you wind up deciding to return it, due to dead pixels or whatever. My display did not appear to have any dead or hot pixels. It seems that manufacturers no longer ship displays with such problems. This may be an issue of the past.

One added bonus here in California is that you won't be charged the state-imposed $8 recycling fee, thanks to the elimination of the mercury. I don't think Amazon charges you that anyway.

Some basic specs follow.

-The display is 1920 x 1080 resolution at 60 Hz. It's not 120 Hz, so it cannot be used for 3D display in the future.

-I find 23-inches to be a perfect size for general use. It seems smaller than it is because the margins around the display are smaller, so it doesn't quite feel like it's 23 inches large.

-I like the option of having DVI or HDMI input. It has VGA too, but I consider that a total waste. The plug-ins at the rear are normal to the panel, and are much easier to access. On the previous versions, the connectors mounted in the vertical, making it a difficult, blind connection. Also, the power supply is smaller, due to the lower power consumption, and plugs into the display with a tidy little DC jack.

-It is indeed a matte-finish display. I personally prefer matte finishes as they reduce room-lighting glare. However, the glossy displays do tend to mellow and smooth out the imagery.

-There is a tilt-hinge, but height is not adjustable. There is some elevation to the display already, so most people will not care to adjust any further.

I only have one caveat about this display. I'm not sure what to make of LED back-lighting technology for quality of light. The display is brighter, and there are myriad indisputable benefits to using LEDs. My concern is the quality of the color gamut. Some colors seems more vibrant, but at the same time, it also seems harsh and a bit washed-out. I couldn't find a way to tweak the brightness and contrast settings to adjust for this. Maybe it just requires some getting used to. For my needs it will be just fine, and I expect to get used to the difference. Others may find it a bit jarring. There is no doubt that most manufacturers will standardize on LED back-lit displays, so I figure we should try to get used to it. For graphic designers, or anybody for whom color matching is critical, this may be an issue.

I tried the Samsung 23-inch LED display before this one but returned it because the text display on it wasn't smooth. To be fair, this may have been a display adjustment I failed to make, but the Samsung menus were not as simple and easy to use as the HP menus. The Samsung uses capacitive, touch-style controls, whereas the HP uses REAL BUTTONS. I know touchscreens are cool, but I think it's a mistake to eliminate real buttons altogether. The tactile feedback given by a proper button makes certain things much easier. When I've pressed a capacitive touch button and nothing happens, I'm always asking, "Is my finger in the right place? Did I actually press the button?" This is not an issue with real buttons.

Note that the tilt-image above shows the previous generation HP 23-inch monitor. That's a mistake. This monitor does not have that range of tilt motion.

Overall, for anyone considering a 23-inch display for general use, you cannot go too wrong with this product.

Buy HP 2311x 23-Inch LED Monitor - Black Now

For the price, this monitor is a great value. HP list price is $250 (on HP website), but I got it on Amazon for $179 (price fluctuates from day to day). Highlights:

(1) The screen is indeed a matte finish. I dislike the more prevalent glossy screens, which reflect overhead lights. The bezel is a glossy black though. It can pick up stray reflections. I have no idea why glossy black is so fashionable in electronics these days. Well, I'm grateful at least that avocado isn't the color de jour.

(2) Text, still images, and video display sharply and with clean colors. At work, the IT dept recently bought 21" monitors from another brand. Text is jagged. Images and video are washed out.

(3) There is a full range of settings available controlled by four small switches at the bottom front right corner of the display. One switch brings up the main menu with 10 fields. The other three switches allow you to scroll up/down, left/right, and enter. It's a bit tedious, but you don't need to tweak all the settings. I mainly changed the brightness and contrast to suit my taste. There's a reset to factory settings selection in case you mess things up. The unit at work has horrible switches buried under the bezel that take a lot of pressure to activate.

(4) The inputs provided are VGA, DVI, and HDMI. Although this is a 1920 X 1080 display, it's still useful to have a VGA input. You can use it with computers with only VGA outputs and be HD ready when you upgrade your PC. Another reason I chose this unit is because of the HDMI input. My laptop has VGA and HDMI, but not DVI. Many HD monitors on the market have VGA and DVI. You then have to buy an HDMI DVI adapter. VGA and DVI cables are supplied, but not HDMI.

(5) There are no speakers. But this is a thin profile display, and built-in speakers would probably be pretty bad anyway.

(6) I'm running with WIN 7, 64-bit. No problems.

(7) Mechanically, the unit is mediocre, but on a par with other units in this price range. It's stable sitting on a desktop, but be careful about bumping it. I have a 12 yr old NEC LCD monitor that's built like a tank, but it is only 15", has lower resolution, and cost $800 at the time. LCD panels and control electronics keep dropping in price, but mechanical components generally don't. Mechanical components are less robust than earlier generations to cut costs.

(8) The stand has no vertical adjustment. The bottom of the screen is ~4" above the desktop. If you need to raise it, you can simply stack it on some books or sheets of paper if you don't want to buy an auxiliary stand. [[Note: The display snaps into the base. Once snapped in, you can't remove it. If you think you may need a lower position, don't snap on the base right away, in case you need to make a separate mount.]]

Edit 11/25/2011. In the comments, R. Tadeo has corrected my statement on the mounting of the base. I have confirmed that there is a release button on the front of the base. I was not able to confirm, however, that the base can be removed. After what I considered to be a reasonable amount of wiggling and tugging, I was not able to remove the base. I didn't want to tug any harder, because I was concerned that I would break the unit. R. Tadeo indicated that considerable effort is required to remove the base.

(9) Note that the tilt is very limited. HP spec is 0 to +25 deg (that is, tilts up, but not down). As another reviewer has noted, the picture on the Amazon listing is incorrect. This range is OK for normal desktop viewing, but not OK if you place the monitor on a high shelf or mount it high on the wall.

I have been buying 23-inch 1080p HP monitors for our engineering company for the last couple of years, and we now have more than 20 of them. The quality has always been impeccable (until now), and the price has been very reasonable (under $200). The few monitors I have purchased from other manufacturers have paled (literally and figuratively) in comparison. I recently started purchasing the LED HP2311x because it is thinner and lighter than our LCD models, and it is supposed to use less electricity. We now have 4 of them. A couple of people really like the screen's matte finish (all of our other monitors have the glossy finish) because the individuals in question have windows in their offices and do not have to deal with reflections. Most of us, however, find the matte image to seem less detailed and the colors to be less vibrant. The image just isn't as attractive. Furthermore, the last HP2311x we bought has had shadowing problems. When touched or moved the slightest bit, reds and whites begin to appear among the "real" colors (kind of a moiré pattern). After painfully long conversations with HP technicians, HP has finally decided to replace the new monitor with a refurbished one. We will see how that goes!

Want HP 2311x 23-Inch LED Monitor - Black Discount?

This appears to be the stock monitor HP is shipping with its desktop computers right now. The image is very sharp, the monitor thin and light.

I'll say up front the one thing I don't like about this monitor I've put it on an Apple desktop and laptop is that when the computer awakens the screen from sleep, the HP causes the computer's display driver to rescan it, so the screen goes white, then black a couple of times before stabilizing. I worry about what this does to the video card after a few thousand iterations. I have a ViewSonic VX2433wm 24-inch WideScreen LCD Monitor (not available locally any more) that keeps its signal to the computer constant even after turning off the screen, so that when the computer wakes up its output, the image instantly appears on the screen, with no video reset.

One other slight advantage of the ViewSonic for adding to a laptop is that it can tilt slightly downward, so that if you have it elevated above the laptop monitor, you can tilt it orthogonal to the line of site. The HP tilts to 90 degrees an no more.

Blessedly, the monitor makers haven't been sucked into the glossy screen fad the way Apple has. I would have bought an iMac instead of this screen and desktop if it weren't for the mandatory glossy screen on the iMac. This HP is nicely matte, with little in reflected artifacts.

There is growing concern about the amount of melatonin-suppressing blue wavelengths that are twice as strong in LED displays as in LCD displays (Cajochen, et al. 2011. Evening exposure to a light-emitting diodes (LED)-backlit computer screen affects circadian physiology and cognitive performance. J Applied Physiology 110: 1432-1438) . This HP display fortunately allows you to reduce the blue by choosing a cooler color temperature; whether this compensates enough I do not know.

**** Postscript ****

After using the monitor for a few days, I discovered that I was getting eyestrain with it, an experience I never got with the ViewSonic VX2433wm. I did some investigation to figure out what was going on, and found that quite a number of people complain of eyestrain from LED monitors. In both LED and CCFL LCD monitors, if you turn down the brightness, it achieves this by strobing the backlights. So I made sure to set the brightness to maximum. One can turn down the emitted brightness then by lowering the contrast, so the LCD layer blocks some of the backlight. I jimmied around with contrast, color, and temperature, all to no avail. The LED display actually has a continuous spectrum, while the CCFL has more discrete bands, making the LED more like natural light. Yet, my eyes got very tired looking at it. All I can think is that the deep blue spike in the spectrum of LEDs does something to exercise the focus muscles in the lense --otherwise, I have no theory for why my eyes got tired on it. At any rate, I returned it, and ordered the twin of the VX2433, the ViewSonic VA2431WM 24-Inch Widescreen LCD Monitor, which came quickly and is gorgeous and easy to look at.

It's an awesome monitor. I went from a 18 inch LCD (the square type) to this, and it feels huge. Plenty of viewing real estate. I'm glad to go with this size and not any smaller. The monitor itself isn't enormous and has the same height as my old one, but about 6 inches wider. The look is very sleek. The screen is non-reflective without the hazy coating look, and the edge is shiny black. It feels quite light but not flimsy.

The screen is really nice. Sharp and clear. The factory settings were too bright out of the box. Also, the color temp needed some manual adjusting too to get the white and colors to come out right. But, after you play around with the settings, it is absolutely fantastic.

For the price, it can't be beat. It has a couple of areas at the top corners that bubbled up a bit. Overall, it is worthwhile to purchase.

There are hardly any complaints about this product. It fits perfectly, it is anti-glare, and it helps keep as many obvious fingerprints from showing. The only con is it is a pain to get on, but once it's on, it works like a charm.

Want LCD Anti-Glare Screen Protector Cover Kit For Barnes&Nobles Nook Color eBook Discount?

I ended up buying two of these to succeed in applying one screen protector. I will say this protector covers the entire screen perfectly leaving very minimal room on the edges (I do not consider the bar with the home button to be part of the screen as one review mentioned). It also does not appear to affect the appearance of the screen. I haven't tested the anti-glare capabilities, I really just wanted something to cover the screen, which it does. For what it does, it does it well. Five stars...until we talk about installation.

Installing this screen protector was a nightmare. Perhaps I am too much of a perfectionist, but the plastic piece they give you to squeeze out air bubbles is a piece of junk. The lint-free cloth that is meant to clean the screen leaves more lint than it removes (eventually it works). I would also suggest applying this in the bathroom with the shower running (apparently it removes dust from the room) because otherwise the adhesive side will catch anything and everything, leaving tiny bubbles anywhere. I will take some fault on the first application process because I was picky with little bubbles, but the second purchase was even worse.

The second screen protector I received came in a very cheap package and was missing the plastic piece to squeeze out bubbles (honestly think it fell out in transit). Luckily I ordered a different screen protector for my phone that came with a lovely rubber one (thank you Skinomi), which ended up being the only reason I succeeded in applying this protector. The protector itself had some sort of lint on it before I even went to apply it, but washing it does work (getting it to dry without collecting dust is the trick). The lint-free cloth was even worse the second time and literally did not stop putting lint on my screen (I luckily had my own that worked). Basically the second package set me up to fail, but Skinomi saved the day. All in all, it is a decent screen protector, but may God have mercy on your soul if you want zero bubbles on your screen with the tools they give you.

TLDR: Fits great, pain to install (easier with tools NOT from this company). You get what you pay for, but it's worth $2.50.

I just received my anti-glare screen protector in the mail about a half hour ago and was so anxious to put it on my nook color. I followed the directions carefully..it took me a couple tries to get rid of the air bubbles. I realize that you have to use the squeegee tool AS your laying down the screen protector. At first, I had laid down the screen protector, then tried to squeegee out the air bubbles--that didn't work so well. So use it as your laying it down slowly. Also, the picture is pretty accurate--the screen protector covers only the part of the screen that has the back light. This is why I give it four stars. It doesn't cover the black strip down bottom. So if you every inch of your screen covered, this isn't for you. I don't mind that it's not covering the bottom because that part isn't touch screen anyway. Over time, there might be dust and dirt build up or scratches and scrapes, but at least the touch screen part is protected from all of that. As for the appearance and quality--it is well worth the money. It looks like it's anti-glare to me (I tilted it from side to side and didn't see any reflections). I haven't tried it in the sun as yet because it's been raining here for a few days now; but I can't wait to sit out in the sun and try it! Overall, it's definitely worth it for the price. It's good quality, it's anti-glare and it protects the back-lit portion of the screen. I'm happy :)

This is a convenient holster for the Pantech C630. The swivel feature is good and allows positioning upside down on the belt so that the clip doesn't poke you. Only problem is fragility I always order several because the clip tends to snap after 4 or 5 months of use.

2pc Sliver & Gold Stylus Ballpoint Pen for iPad, all iPhone, 4S and all Capacitive Touch Screen Devi

2pc Sliver & Gold Stylus Ballpoint Pen for iPad, all iPhone, 4S and all Capacitive Touch Screen Devices
  • Measuring 5.25 inches; Color: Silver & Gold; QTY 2 pcs
  • Twist Pen Design; Solid metal material; Soft rubber tip.
  • Compact and light weight design, easy to carry. Can be clipped in your pocket, book, diary, etc.
  • Compatible with Apple iPod, iPad, iPhone, iPhone 4S or any other capacitive touch screens.
  • Keep your screen free from scratching and fingerprint.

Great quick service from seller. The pens are of nice quality but the barrels of the pens are tooooo slim. Your fingers get tired when using for any length of time. A larger, more current sized barrel would make these pens really tough to beat.

Buy 2pc Sliver & Gold Stylus Ballpoint Pen for iPad, all iPhone, 4S and all Capacitive Touch Screen Devi Now

This pen has a VERY light feel to it, and to some, that may be a deal breaker. Traditionally, I like heavier pens, but I gave this one a chance and I'm glad I did. The PEN refill is as good or better than a Cross pen. Smooth writing, no smears and it feels good on paper. This might seem trivial since you buy it for the stylus, but all to often, companies put little or no effort in the collateral options on their products. The STYLUS portion of the pen works every bit as good as any higher priced product. I've bought and own, Boxwave, AYL, Targus, Kensington, AluPen, and others. This stylus stands on it's own with any of the good ones.

The barrel is metal, albeit, not quite the "quality metal" they advertise, but it's not cheap garbage either. It feels good in the hand, writes well, and works on my iPad2 and Galaxy Nexus with NO wants or problems. Even with the lighter weight than I'm used to, I'd buy it again. (added point, the pen is refillable too, and not some proprietary odd size)

I bought these two pens for $5.99. My local Radio Shack had a pen/stylus for $26.99. My local OfficeMax had one for $24.99. These are great writing pens and look good too.

Want 2pc Sliver & Gold Stylus Ballpoint Pen for iPad, all iPhone, 4S and all Capacitive Touch Screen Devi Discount?

While the pens looked good, I was not impressed with the quality of them. One of the pens lost it's rubber tip twice and I was unable to get it back on after the second time. With the other one, originally the pen mechanism worked fine and then the pen point itself came out less and less till you couldn't write with it at all. I wouldn't recommend this product at all.

I purchased these stylus pens for my tablet. The stylus part works great, just don't expect the pen part of it to last. It actually fell a part.

  • Beautiful, quality leather
  • Belt clip
  • Pocket for extra SD card, cash or business cards
  • Secure snap clasp
  • Real protection and convenient functionality

The outside stitching is acceptable, but in the inside there is some irregularity on the stitches.

The swivel belt clip is detachable but should be also removable, that is, the part that attaches to the belt clip should also be removable (screw) so that it fits better in the pocket when you don't want to use a belt clip. Still, it fits fairly well in my back pocket.

The treo 650 fits nicely, but sometimes it is hard to adjust the snap closure to close firmelly.

Overall, acceptable quality for this price.

  • Supports optional PalmConnect or Macintosh Serial Adapter

Posting for the good of all considering purchasing:

Don't let the picture fool you! I ordered this item and DID receive the actual powered cradle intended for the IIIc. The picture, at least as of 4/25/00, mis-represents the correct product with a picture of a standard hot sync cable, but the picture is incorrect for the item and product you will be ordering.

For what it's worth, the standard hotsync cable and the original Palm cradle (pre-PalmIII) will also work to hotsync, but of course won't charge your IIIc. I have used both successfully, but will now retire them given the new one I have purchased.

Ambicom Compact Flash GPS Receiver

Ambicom Compact Flash GPS Receiver
  • Real-time in-vehicle navigation
  • Turn-by-turn voice and visual instructions
  • Ultra compact design
  • Continuous GPS position update
  • Compatible with most Pocket PC's with Compact Flash slot

The product package includes

1. CF GPS receiver.

2. PocketMap Navigator Software 30 days trial version.

3. Antenna booster for in car use (it does not require any power from car)

I am using it with my Dell AXIM 5, PPC Windows 2002 system. Once it is up it tracks on average 6 satellites (maximum display limit is 12 and the maximum i have seen it track is 8) with a CEP of 17' on average. On a overcast day antenna is must otherwise it doesn't track any satellites on my system. On a clear day it works well out doors without the antenna.

What I like about it:

1. It doesn't drain too much power (I don't have to recharge my PPC more often)

2. Its easy to install and use.

3. Reasonably accuracy (25 CEP per specs in most cases its better than that)

4. Navigation software comes with voice navigation (voice itself is digitally synthesized so its little bit hard to understand). The software has nice list of POI's (grocery stores, motels, fitness clubs etc)

What I don't like about it:

1. Map software is 30-day trial version. At the time of writing this review its price is $...

2. Navigator software doesn't give you route optimization options (e.g. you will prefer using highways/interstates or other road ... etc)

Note: For Dell Axim 5 users it takes up the CF slot and you can't use CF slot for map storage.

I got this for Christmas for use with a Cassiopeia E125. The software loaded fine, but the receiver did not appear to get a signal. The Ambicom office was closed during Christmas break, so I put it aside. This week I e-mailed Ambicom. Their response is as follows:

"Unfortunately, the software is not compatible with PDA OS. It's only for Pocket PC 2002 and 2003. Sorry for this incovenient caused."

Amazon's product description and the (sparse) Ambicom documentation did not reveal this detail. Now I'm stuck with something I probably can't use.

Bought it, noticed it wasn't holding as much of a charge as it should. Peeled back the tape and saw the 850mah rating underneath. This is the second battery I bought that claimed met or exceeded OEM manufacturers spec that didn't (both were 850's).

If you want the factory OEM 1350mah battery for the 8525 then buy the OEM battery like I am about to do. Amazon's price is good at about $11, will find out if it is genuine soon enough.

So cheap not worth the trouble to return it.

This battery worked well at first although it didn't seem to hold much more of a charge than the 2-year-old original battery it replaced. Then one morning I found that my phone wouldn't even turn on even after charging all night. Like the other reviewer here, I peeled back the sticker to reveal that the battery is only 850 mAh, NOT 1500!

Do yourself a favor and do what I should have done in the first place (and did now), just buy the "real" OEM replacement battery for ten bucks and be assured that it will actually work.

I read through most of the reviews for the HTC/ATT tilt and the extended capacity batteries are not much better. The original battery is the best choice last I checked. I bought a duracell external lithium ion batter charger to help out in emergencies and add extra life. To give you an idea, I constantly stream bluetooth, use the wifi, and use a run-gps program which uses the phones gps chip. These activites destorys my battery withing 6 months. The OEM battery stands up adequately but extra capacity is needed to extend life to my activities.

wow i thought these would be good but theyre simply stunning for 60 dollars. the bass on these little cans is great especially with songs like dazed and confused by led zeppelin or loser by beck. mostly though ive played battlefield 3 on it and it sounds almost as good as my sony pulse headphones. very high fidelity drivers make speech and low end bass very clear as well as the mid range for guitar and gaming. overall THIS HEADSET IS BADASS end of discussion!

After reading reviews all over the net and just by looking at how nice the headset looks, I was sold. And I was not disappointed, they look great and feel great! The sound quality is amazing besides a slight and faint humming when no sound is running through them (on PS3 only, no humming on PC). What I love about them is that they can be used for calls on a cell phone or video calls and the microphone works great!! The detachable mic is a little hard to get used to (locking them in) so READ THE INSTRUCTIONS before trying to jam them in. Overall a great headphone really up my game in MW3 S&D(you can hear footsteps, defuses, ect.). Overall awesome headset for price!

First off, I would like to say this headset is amazing! You can't go wrong with them.

When these first came to my home I was amazed with the packaging (it is really well done) I quickly unbox'd it and went straight to my gaming room and hooked it up. I'd like to say though, their was a few problems if you are using HDMI. (black screen)It was an extremely easy fix all I had to do was hold down the "on/off" button for 3 second! (doing this will reset resolution and ect.)

After 3 months of having it, I can safely say its extremely durable, dropped it 2 times off a 11 ft stairs, and it still works LIKE NEW! The sound quality is wonderful; "soundwhoring" is really easy to do with these beast! Even when you are just listening to music it works wonderfully. Also the removable mic is amazing if you use it for PS Vita (having the mic there just make you look stupid). Although, their was a BIG con and that was the fact the ear muffs were too small for my ears. After one hour of playing my ears was in pain, but it goes away after 10-20 minutes.

PROS: Great Sound Quality!

Extremely Durable!

Removal Mic!

CONS: Small Earmuffs!

Want TRITTON Kunai Stereo Headset for PS3 - Black Discount?

This headset has great sound. The sound quality rivals my other $175 headset! When connected with the long (2 headed) wire, one outlet connects to PS3 (for power boost), the other connects to TV sound outlet (right & left sound). This allows you to control mic & sound level. I was not sure about this even studied through all online video clip & online info. The sound effect is GREAT. BUY IT! You will love it. By the way, the WHITE color on this headset is clean and crisp..EXCELLENT!

Purple Black Limited Edition Stylish Sleeve Premium Cover Case with Aerotechnology Protection and with front pocket for accessories For Barnes & Noble NOOK COLOR eBook Reader Tablet + Includes a eBigValue Determination Hand Strap + Includes a Universal Graphic Designer Stylus Pen
  • Slim Stylish Protective Suede Sleeve for Barnes & Noble Nook Color Android eReader Device
  • Interior Protection offers aero technology providing extra patting and extra protection
  • Feature with extra exterior pocket for small accessories // Protects from Bumps, Dents and scratches
  • + Includes a eBigValue (TM) Determination Hand Strap Key Chain to attach to your keys as a reminder
  • + Includes a Graphic Designer Stylus Pen, Can be use to navigate your iPad and including to edit pic

I couldn't decide between a sleeve or a cover for my new Nook Color. This one fits the bill for both. There are elastic straps that will hold your NC in place if you prefer to leave it in the sleeve while using. Or you can simply open the zipper and slip your NC inside for safekeeping. The front pocket is tiny and won't hold much, so that's not much of a selling point. My NC feels well protected. The only negative is that zipper wasn't sewn in evenly and has several spots where it kind of "ripples." But for the price, I can put up with that.

Mobile Mini Speaker, connects to iPod, iPhone, notebook computers, MP3 and portable CD/DVD players, hand-held games & more, Manhattan 161107
  • Frequency response (amplifier): 100 Hz ¨C 18 kHz
  • Speaker frequency response (speaker): 300 Hz ¨C 18 kHz
  • Signal to noise ratio (S/N): ¡Ý83dB
  • Power output: 2.4 W
  • Diameter, driver: 5.2 cm (2 in.)
  • 3.5mm Jack
  • Compact
  • Rechargable

I love these little speakers! The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is because it didn't come with an A/C charger (which is faster than USB) and the price is high. I chose the Manhattan brand because they have a lifetime warranty. I bought these in Manila, Philippines with an A/C charger for $4.00 and here the same thing withOUT the A/C charger is $18.50 by U.S. Mail. They have a really great, LOUD sound for such a small unit. They have a rechargeable battery so they are great for your Ipod or as I use it, for my portable XM Satelite radio XM3Pi.They actually were better than my Dell Studio laptop speakers for quality of sound and volume. You can plug it into your pc via USB for charging only and use the 3.5mm plug for the audio. DO NOT, I REPEAT ...NOT lose the cable because you can NOT find a replacement cable that goes from 3.5 to mini USB. Then the unit is useless. The older version had a 3.5mm plug on the speaker which allowed you to daisy chain multiple speakers, easily plug into the speaker and your unit providing the audio AND the cable was easily found/replaced.....the new one only has the mini USB connection on the speaker end.

I was amazed when I purchased this speaker. I bought it on the hope that it might work for classroom presentations. I was blown away with how well it worked. The volume fills a room and the sound quality is great! It will work for all my presentations away from home. In fact, the volume is better than with the previous speakers I carried, and I only have a tiny item I can carry in my pocket. I have shown this item to several friends, and they all want to purchase one. This is wonderful--unbelievable--fantastic!!!

The present mini speaker is not as good as the one previously ordered. The older model has a volume control and works superbly. The newer model does not offer a volume control; therefore, the volume is not satisfactory.

This was a Christmas present for my son and he loves it. It has great sound and seems to be quite loud for the size.

It is what I ordered. But it took forever to get. The sound is good but you can't adjust the volume. So it doesn't get very loud.

Acer Aspire V5-571P-6888 15.6-Inch Touchscreen Laptop (Silky Silver)

Acer Aspire V5-571P-6888 15.6-Inch Touchscreen Laptop
  • Intel Core i3-3227U Processor 1.9 GHz (3 MB Cache)
  • 6 GB DDR3 RAM
  • 750 GB 5400 rpm Hard Drive
  • 15.6-Inch Touch Screen, Intel HD Graphics 4000
  • Windows 8, 5-hour battery life

Was afraid of getting windows 8 plus a new computer. This set up in seconds, took a little longer getting to Windows 8 but was surfing in a few hours. The built in tutorial made the change much easier than I ever expected. I am no computer tech so I just followed the directions and have no problems with this computer. Love the speed, lighted keys, light weight and ease of transition. Now windows 8 is another story!

Against the advice of friends, I bought the Acer Aspire after reading PCMag and other reviews suggesting it as a good replacement for a PC. The laptop arrived, looked ok, powered up but the screen was black. Spent quite some time trying to figure out what went wrong. Was told that it was most likely a failure in the mainframe, battery or power cord all of which would need to be replaced. I was very disappointed but realized that cheap is cheap and opted to return it and get a more expensive competitor (HP Envy) and so far so good. I wouldn't recommend the Acer even if you're just looking for a cheaper option for a child. Unreliable and cheap. I also want to mention that the laptop arrived a day later than promised by Amazon. First time in a long time that happened. All around a bad experience I won't be repeating.

Boost Mobile WX415ABC Motorla Bali

Boost Mobile WX415ABC Motorla Bali
  • 1.3MP Camera with video
  • Wireless web email access to Gmail, MSN, Yahoo, & more
  • MP3 Music Player with external music keys (microSD rqd)
  • Stereo Bluetooth capable
  • Voicemail caller ID, Call Waiting, & Call Forwarding

My mother purchased this phone and I help her set it up. It is the slowest cell phone I've ever used in the last 6 years! It takes up to 5 seconds to respond when editing contacts or changing phone settings. The phone felt cheap, the buttons are made of cheap metal and it's hard to see/feel the outlines of the circle navigating button. This phone has Bluetooth capability but when trying to transfer over 60+ contacts from my mother's old Sanyo phone, this Motorola stopped accepting after every 15 contact sends...I had to manually add contacts in increments of 10-15 at a time. After about 2 months of use the phone couldn't hang up on calls anymore. It can still receive calls but you can't hang up or end the call. The screen resolution is also low compared to my mother's old phone or even my cheap "free" phones from Sprint. The only thing positive about this phone is that the numbers on the keys light up. If I could give it a zero I would.

I love my phone it is all that I thought it was going to be/ plus I have been with boost for a long time and all the stuff you gat from them for only $35 a month is great with all you get with this phone

Read Best Reviews of Boost Mobile WX415ABC Motorla Bali Here

I am a professional who recently purchased a Sanyo Juno phone to use as an extra special-purpose business phone. After using Boost cards to pay for the phone for two months I switched to the Auto Re-Boost Payment Service, wherein payments are automatically charged to my credit card each month. What a terrible mistake. Boost Mobile has been making monthly charges to my credit card at the same time that it has cut off my phone service, telling me that there is no money in my account. Of course, the latter cannot be true is the former is true. When I call Boost's service number to resolve the problem I learn that there are no human beings to speak to, only an automated list of options, none of which correspond to my problem. When I contact Boost via its online customer service (an e-mail option in which the customer is asked to describe his or her problem) I receive a phone call instructing me to call the service number, which, as I've just noted, provides no human operator and tells me that there is no money in my account. In other words, Boost Mobile tells me that to restore my service I must make another payment, even though that payment has already been made by their Auto Re-Boost plan. In effect, I must pay twice for each month of service and there is nothing I can do about it. Is this a company you would want to do business with? I deeply regret selecting to business with this company.

This phone is one of the best flip phones out now that more and more desent flip phones are hard to find. Its either basic or smart but the Motorla Bali has good features yet easy to use and not a smart phone, I was a little upset to find out that boost mobile does NOT support the navigation so if you are buying this phone for that dont cuz you can NOT use it. Over all I am happy with the phone and would suggest this phone to others.

i like that you can watch YOUTUBE and the phone looks so cute . and the front bottoms is touch too ,.

13.3 Inch T-pink Snap-on Hard Case Cover for Apple Macbook Air (08-09 Models) + Free Neck Strap for

13.3 Inch T-pink Snap-on Hard Case Cover for Apple Macbook Air + Free Neck Strap for Cell PhoneI ordered this item for my wife, as she liked the color of the cover as pictured. She has an older Macbook Air and wanted to make it look prettier. She liked this light, powder pink cover and so we ordered it. When the item arrived, the company had not included enough postage, so I had to pay an additional $5.50 in postage. When I finally got the item home and opened the package, the item looked rather cheap and flimsy, and the free neck strap was not included. Also, the color was a much darker pink, only a few shades brighter than a candy apple red. And when the cover was placed on the silver-grey Macbook Air, the final result was rather hideous. The color is awful--nothing like the pictured item. Would the item protect the computer? Probably, as it is made of a hard plastic. But, if you are looking to make the computer look pretty, then I do not recommend this item. After much negotiation with the company (at one point, their service rep actually suggested that my wife get used to the color...), we were finally allowed to return it. Unfortunately, the shipping label they sent me did not have sufficient postage, and I had to pay an additional $9.25 in shipping costs. Do not waste your time or money buying this item or purchasing anything through this company.

BoxWave American/European to Australian/New Zealand Outlet Plug Adapter

BoxWave American/European to Australian/New Zealand Outlet Plug Adapter
  • one American/European to Australian/New Zealand outlet plug adapter
  • Designed for use with the Wall Charger
  • Not compatible with the VersaCharger

I bought tons of these because I was moving to Australia form the US. They work great and are inexpensive (what else can you ask for). They came unwrapped in a padded envelope, which I like since it generates less waste and no hassle to get through impossible plastic casing. They fit in my plugs smoothly but firmly without forcing. They have all consistently worked.

Got back from the great outback and New Zealand around the first of July. Never had a problem with this product. It worked fine.

Want BoxWave American/European to Australian/New Zealand Outlet Plug Adapter Discount?

Bought 2 of these adapters to take on our 5-week trip to New Zealand. They worked perfectly well and held up just fine through daily use. I see no reason to spend any more money on adapters than these cost.

This adapter is very basic and simple, but works as advertised. I have had no trouble with it, using it in conjunction with various cables to charge my electronic equipment. I am very satisfied with it. It works well and the price is right.
