  • Notice: Usually shipped in 5 work days. 10-15 days for registered mail. To upgrade shipping, contact us immediately after ordering.

it's a really high quality skin. i definitely would buy from victorias deco again. The skin is easy to re-adjust as said, and the skin fades into color amazingly. I applied it over the sony official screen protector, and though the skin pulled the protector when readjusting, all i had to do was hold the protective film down and separate them (not hard) if it did so.

The colors are amazing. It looks like my vita came in this color, and once you look at the back spider logo, you will never want to take it off. The wallpaper was a nice addition (a link to download the spider image is in the package) It's definitely worth it.

So the decal was pretty cool it makes the vita look pretty cool too. The only thing is that it took forever to get here and that's understandable since it's coming from a long way. The problem with the decal is that the picture peels off very quick from the sticker it really doesn't last long. Honestly I was expecting for it to last a while but I've had it for about two weeks and it's already peeling off. Like I said if you want to make your vita look fancy for a bit then the decal is for you but if you want something to last I wouldn't recommend this at all.

[Sweet Black Cat] Embroidered Applique Fabric Art Trifold Wallet Purse / Card Holder (4.7*3.5)

[Sweet Black Cat] Embroidered Applique Fabric Art Trifold Wallet Purse / Card HolderIt looks just like what the picture shows, very cute! Soft to the touch and spacious, everything fits in this wallet. The coin purse in the back is very convenient as well. I will probably replace the velcro -that keeps the wallet closed-, for a metal clasp to make it stronger.

PYLE PLFMTR9BT FM TRANSMITTER WITH STEERING WHEEL REMOTE (BLUETOOTH COMPATIBLE)

PYLE PLFMTR9BT FM TRANSMITTER WITH STEERING WHEEL REMOTEI originally tried one of the cheap-o korean no-brand versions of this thing before upgraded to this model. I have to say the packaging, instructions, support and usability of this one is far better. It is sometimes a little finicky becoming visible when pairing to a new device after being connected to an older one but a snap once it becomes visible or if you are only tethering to a single device. (I have three devices that support a2dp)

I was delighted to learn that the stearing wheel remove is not only a 2 piece item (the oval portion is removable from the part that straps onto the wheel) but it is also reversible (there is a similar snap in slot on both the left and right side)

The remove is reasonably intuitive to use, and I've been told that the speakerphone sounds pretty good on the other side of the phone.

My primary complaints about the device are minimal. The first is that the frequency range supported seems to cut off a few frequencies at the top and bottom end of the FM band. These frequencies are usually the best frequencies to use for FM transmitter type devices as there is less competition from broadcast stations at these ends of the FM spectrum. The end result is I had to find a 'low noise' frequency somewhere in the middle of the band. I imagine this might be troublesome in a busy FM market and might become annoying for someone that travelled as you would have to change frequencies more often to find one not in use by a broadcast station.

My other complaint is more specific to my vehicle. My 12v accessory plugs are under the console slightly so as a result, the flex neck cannot be 'flexed' at a full right angle unless I twist the entire thing slightly to the side. This creates some problems with line-of-sight from the steering and hand remotes and can make the display hard to read if you want it to be straight up and down. So as a result I have to have it plugged in so it is at about 2 o'clock (about 30 degrees from striaght up and down) so it has a clear line to the steering wheel remote and so I can read the display.

JAVOedge Austin BackFlip Case for Barnes & Noble Nook Color/Nook Tablet (Grey)

JAVOedge Austin BackFlip Case for Barnes & Noble Nook Color/Nook Tablet
  • Case acts as kickstand and swivels for horizontal or vertical viewing
  • Protects from front to back against minor bumps, drops, and scratches
  • Case gives full access to device features while using a magnet flap closure
  • Animal friendly materials

this case is beautiful. I just got it today. I can't speak for it's durability yet but i absolutely love it. It's design is simple and professional. The fabric is soft and wonderful, my nook fits in it beautifully. It doesn't hinder any of the buttons. It has a stand which is cool....haven't really found any practical use for that yet...but i'm sure other people would find that handy. The color is great. I love grey.

The only gripe i have about it is that it's just a touch velvety (mostly the inside) and i have cats at home, so the second it touches...umm...ANYTHING it gets fur and lint all over it, which is a little annoying.

other than that, i am extremely happy with the price and quality. Perfect case, exactly what i wanted.

I received the item two days after i ordered it. Very fast service. I have to say I had low expectations because I had already ordered a cover from Amazon for my Nook Tablet and was not happy. However, this cover is better than I expected. It has a a nice soft feel. I love the stand features. Both horizontal and vertical. The only thing its missing is a pocket. But otherwise I love it.

I got this case for my Nookcolor because I wanted good protection and the additional ways you can make it stand appealed to me. I knew it would protect it great because I have another Javoedge case for my NC. The case is very soft and stands and swivels nicely. My only concern is charging it while it is in the case because of the swivel component it is kind of a thick case, and when you charge your NC, it can get a little warm on the back without a case, so I'm concerned about it maybe getting a little too warm. Another is that the NC fits in snuggly, but it makes the part that borders around the NC to raise up a bit as if it is just a little small for the NC. Also, I am not familiar with the type of material that is inside the case, but it feels like velvet/suede, and it attracts hair and fuzz so easily I have to lent roll it. Overall, I am very happy with it.

Want JAVOedge Austin BackFlip Case for Barnes & Noble Nook Color/Nook Tablet (Grey) Discount?

The cover is well made and has a high quality feel to it (very soft yet sturdy and the inside has a felt feel to it). The main reason advantage of this cover is the option to stand it up in either portrait or landscape. Although there is only one angle position, that is not a problem for me so far (you can also use the cover to prop it up at a lower angle in portrait orientation, which is also a very useful way to use it).

The cover fits very well and this model even folds over the nook's top and can be used to more securely "tuck it in" I don't see the nook slipping out of the cover (and the flip cover makes it even more secure). There is some a bit of a bulge in the frame on the sides, where the cover does not stay snug to the nook's sides on the front panel, but it seems to be either getting more relaxed or just less noticeable over time not a real issue that should deter from the cover's value.

The only reason I do not give the cover a full 5 stars rating is that the whole thing adds a lot of bulk. The nook with the cover feels rather heavy (after a week of not using the nook, it was handed to me and the weight was really surprising, though in everyday use it is propped one way or another and this becomes a bit less noticeable). The added bulk is mostly from the way the cover is connected on the back and the rotating plate which was made so that it is sturdy enough to make the propping mechanism sturdy enough. All together, there are 4 layers of the fabric covered cardboard (or whatever the material is in the core), which nearly double the thickness compared to the Nook alone.

Overall, I am still happy with the purchase and have not seen a more suitable cover that is as useful, or less bulky with the same functionality (the price is a bit steep, and the cheaper alternatives seem tempting).

I did a lot of research looking for a very versatile and durable case and I think this has turned out to be a pleasant surprise. It was a fairly new product when I was searching for something for my wife's Nook Color, so there wasn't much to go on but other cases from the same company, which all got good reviews. I wanted something that easily could be used for horizontal as well as vertical reading while using it as a stand and this transitions to both fantastically. It is nice material and seems durable but we haven't had it for very long. The cover flips out of the way nicely and overall the case fits properly with the right cut-outs for the buttons as well as the speaker. If you are looking for something that can stand for horizontal and vertical reading then this should be just right for you!

Canon Wireless MFP/Print server Silex Pricom C-6700WG

Canon Wireless MFP/Print server Silex Pricom C-6700WG
  • Canon's Wireless Print Server Wireless LAN IEEE 80
  • Device-servers
  • USB2.0 Gigabit Ethernet Adap.

I recently installed the Silex C-6700WG wired/wireless print server in my home network. Because my Canon MP610 printer is physically close to my router, I installed the C-6700WG using a wired connection.

I ignored the product installation CD and instead downloaded the latest software and firmware update from the Silex America site (). The CX User Software there (as of the date of this review) is version 3.7.1 (11/13/2009). That's what I installed on my two desktops which run Win XP Pro (SP3). Silex America warns that this version does NOT support Windows 7.

On my laptop, which runs Windows 7 64-bit, I downloaded the software from the Silex Europe site (). There, the CX User Software is version 3.8.0 (22.12.2009) which does support Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit).

Printing, and in particular the Canon 'My Printer' software (ink level reporting, etc.) is working as expected. I didn't try to use the printer's scanning function.

Buy Canon Wireless MFP/Print server Silex Pricom C-6700WG Now

I am using this product with my Canon D480. This is a great wireless print server, compatible with a lot of printers, specifically my Canon D480. Silex, makes this print server, which is a brand of Canon. So the good thing is when you call Canon for any question, Canon will answer your question and help you install it, if you need any help. Otherwise, imagine if you have a Canon printer and you had a wireless print server of another company, how the tech support can say no to you right away and relieve themselves of responsibility and blame and pass the buck to the printer manufacturer, and the other will pass the buck to the wireless print server.

Now for this print server, works perfectly fine in terms of responsiveness when you send a command. Works fine in case of range of as well. Where my wireless router is in the living room and the print server is in the last room, i.e 3 rooms away.

In terms of software installation it is so easy, it only takes 3 minutes to install it. This is a great product and I would recommend Canon printers and all-in-ones and Silex Wireless Print Servers.

The Silex installed easily and works flawlessly with my Canon multifunction laser printer. Do not take that as a 'given' for similar devices. I started by buying

'Linksys Wireless-G PrintServer with Multifunction Printer Support' which ended up supporting printing only after using workarounds found on the web and it did NOT support the multifuntion aspects of my Canon at all.

Want Canon Wireless MFP/Print server Silex Pricom C-6700WG Discount?

I replaced a Linksys WPS54G printer server with the Silex C-6700WG. The Linksys print server did not support scanning and faxing on the Canon printer (and most other printers as well) and it did not support use under Windows 7. (I had kludged the Linksys server to work under Windows 7, but it's not officially supported.) The latest versions of the Silex software, which are now available on the US support site, do support Windows 7. I set the print server up wired to the wireless access point. Although I stumbled a bit in the setup, once set up the print server function is seamless, and the fax and scanner functions are nearly so. I had long been concerned about the temperature of the Linksys print server it was almost too hot to touch but the Silex print server runs cool, or at least dissipates the heat much better.

I upgraded my home PC, and decided to go wireless on everything. My printer, an excellent Canon MX330, isn't wireless and needed a wireless print server in order to be a wireless printer for the primary PC and the wife's netbook.

I paid extra for this because it is made by Canon, and I figured that it would be most compatible with my Canon printer. Years ago I had a problem with a Linksys wireless print server that wasn't compatible with my printer, so I decided to get the print server most likely to work. This Silex/Canon device works great with my Canon printer.

Couple things any buyer should note.

(1) It never occurred to me when I bought my PC that because it is without a CD/DVD player that I wouldn't be able to load drivers from a CD (Duh). No worries on this one as the latest software is available from Silex's website.

(2) I had to go into Printer Properties / Ports and manually select the correct port as the application's software didn't change the port from USB to the "Pricomm" port.

Boost Mobile WX415ABC Motorla Bali

Boost Mobile WX415ABC Motorla Bali
  • 1.3MP Camera with video
  • Wireless web email access to Gmail, MSN, Yahoo, & more
  • MP3 Music Player with external music keys (microSD rqd)
  • Stereo Bluetooth capable
  • Voicemail caller ID, Call Waiting, & Call Forwarding

My mother purchased this phone and I help her set it up. It is the slowest cell phone I've ever used in the last 6 years! It takes up to 5 seconds to respond when editing contacts or changing phone settings. The phone felt cheap, the buttons are made of cheap metal and it's hard to see/feel the outlines of the circle navigating button. This phone has Bluetooth capability but when trying to transfer over 60+ contacts from my mother's old Sanyo phone, this Motorola stopped accepting after every 15 contact sends...I had to manually add contacts in increments of 10-15 at a time. After about 2 months of use the phone couldn't hang up on calls anymore. It can still receive calls but you can't hang up or end the call. The screen resolution is also low compared to my mother's old phone or even my cheap "free" phones from Sprint. The only thing positive about this phone is that the numbers on the keys light up. If I could give it a zero I would.

I am a professional who recently purchased a Sanyo Juno phone to use as an extra special-purpose business phone. After using Boost cards to pay for the phone for two months I switched to the Auto Re-Boost Payment Service, wherein payments are automatically charged to my credit card each month. What a terrible mistake. Boost Mobile has been making monthly charges to my credit card at the same time that it has cut off my phone service, telling me that there is no money in my account. Of course, the latter cannot be true is the former is true. When I call Boost's service number to resolve the problem I learn that there are no human beings to speak to, only an automated list of options, none of which correspond to my problem. When I contact Boost via its online customer service (an e-mail option in which the customer is asked to describe his or her problem) I receive a phone call instructing me to call the service number, which, as I've just noted, provides no human operator and tells me that there is no money in my account. In other words, Boost Mobile tells me that to restore my service I must make another payment, even though that payment has already been made by their Auto Re-Boost plan. In effect, I must pay twice for each month of service and there is nothing I can do about it. Is this a company you would want to do business with? I deeply regret selecting to business with this company.

Want Boost Mobile WX415ABC Motorla Bali Discount?

This phone is one of the best flip phones out now that more and more desent flip phones are hard to find. Its either basic or smart but the Motorla Bali has good features yet easy to use and not a smart phone, I was a little upset to find out that boost mobile does NOT support the navigation so if you are buying this phone for that dont cuz you can NOT use it. Over all I am happy with the phone and would suggest this phone to others.

i like that you can watch YOUTUBE and the phone looks so cute . and the front bottoms is touch too ,.

I love the ultra mini sylus. I originally bought it to use with my Nook Color but found I use it also with my cell phone. It will plug into the earplug hole (on both the Nook Color and cell phone) so it is always there when you need it. Since it is so small it works really well with my phone. You will need to unplug it to use it as the cord is short but I wouldn't want a longer oone to hang off of my phone. For any ladies out there that have issues using a touch screen because of the fingernails being too long this is the perfect item for you.

Positive plugs into my Nook so is always handy and color matches my case useful in playing most games

Negative small size is a little awkward, next time I'll get a full pen size to keep my hand out of the way. I wish it was a little more sensitive, but that could also be the screen's fault.

I love it. I purchased this without much hope that it would indeed work as promised but the price lured me. Now that I have it in hand I am pleased at how well it works. Not only does it work on the iPhone, but the NookColor as well. Using this instead of your finger reduces the amount of body oil left on the screen. But this little gadget is ideal for the smallish touchscreen keyboard of the Nook1stGeneration. And what an ingenious idea to attach it to a hard plastic rod shaped like a headphone jack and which fits perfectly into the audio jack. Keeps it from getting lost. I plan to order several to give as gifts.

I purchase this item on May ll, 2011 for my new Nookcolor, its good in size small just like I wanted and it stays secure on top when you hook it up to the earphone space, for secure storage. I find that it doesent make the pages slide easily you have to press it more than once, and on alot of things that you want to do, sometimes you are better off using your fingers I thought it would be a good replacement but no I still have to use my fingers, I guess the nook is more sensitive that way. For what it does I think it should be less in price. You have to touch the screen several times before you get what you want.

Seidio Innocase Surface for Blackberry 8800/8820/8830 - Blue

Seidio Innocase Surface for Blackberry 8800/8820/8830 - Blue
  • Compatibility: Blackberry Curve 8830
  • Seidio's Innocase Surface is only 1.2mm thick and provides a strong layer of protection and excellen
  • Designed from a hard, yet flexible material
  • Unique soft-touch "rubberized" texture provides a great feel and better grip
  • Slip it into your pocket or pair it with one of Seidio's Innocase holsters or leather cases

I bought this screen protector for my BB World Edition 8830. Although it protects the phone (i.e. keeps away dirt, smudges, etc.), it takes some time to apply it. The protector is sized just enough to cover the edges of the BB screen, with a 1/16" or 0.2cm from screen border, so if you're not adept at placing it down, it will be a frustrating experience. Once you place it correctly (no bubbles), though, it will perform fine. Would suggest finding other alternative products, such as those that are custom molded, so you just place it down, and it's done. No fuss.

Motorola Q Verizon PDA Standard Lithium-ion Slim Battery (850mah)

Motorola Q Verizon PDA Standard Lithium-ion Slim BatteryThis battery doesn't quite fit nicely into the battery compartment like the one that came w/ the Moto Q does -you have to sort of force it in, and trying to get it out can be hard. Also, a red "x" shows up on the Moto Q screen after it charges for a while. Could the red "x" mean that it's defective (the Moto Q authorized battery doesn't have this red "x" problem)? The vendor sent me another battery after I expressed concerns about its functionality but the red "x" also shows up on the second one. The battery will, however, make the Moto Q work ... well, sort of. The Moto Q seems to behave differently with this battery.

I'm reluctant to use this battery except in an emergency for fear it might damage the Moto Q.

Red - Cruzer Lite S-line TPU Case - For the New Ipad (Apple Ipad 3)

Red - Cruzer Lite S-line TPU Case - For the New Ipad
  • Keep your Ipad 3 safe and protected in style.
  • TPU is more cut and tear resistant than rubber. It is abrasion resistant, and has a high degree of transparency. This skin is more stiff than silicone skins, but remains flexible.
  • Applicaton and removal are easy.
  • Shock absorbent, shatterproof, and anti-scratch material

I wanted something colorful to protect my ipad 3 and keep it from sliding around. I don't use a Smart Cover, so I didn't want the ones with the cutouts along the side. This seemed like a good choice, and I'm glad I got it. I was having a hard time choosing a color so I thought I might get 2 for some variety, and noticed Amazon was having a buy 2 get 1 free special, so I have 3 of these, in red, blue & purple. The colors are really nice jewel tone colors. The skins are clear, not opaque you can see the Apple logo in the back through them. They fit pretty snugly, and were a little tight to get on. I consider this a good thing because once on, it fits really well and stays put. The holes for the various buttons etc are generous and nicely finished, not just cut, but with a rounded edge. The two long edges have a little strip of extra texture on the back (if you look carefully you can see it in the product photo). It's only noticeable in portrait mode and I am usually in landscape so it doesn't affect me much. I mention it in case you might not like that. I think it feels secure. The finish on the small border that shows on the front of the iPad is all shiny, although you can see small indentations where the textured strips in the back begin and end. Only reason I took a star off was they have a flaw along the visible edge that is unattractive. I uploaded a picture. I don't like it, but don't consider it worth the trouble of exchanging.

We got this for my husband's Tab and it's been great so far. It arrived as shown and in excellent condition. It protects well, and is convenient for getting the Tab in and out. It has an option to use it as a stand by tucking the front flap into a tab on the back, but I've not had much luck with it. It seems to be rather top heavy and keeps tipping over. However, this is a very minor drawback, and all-in-all, I would definitely recommend it to others.

Hewlett Packard Jornada 690 Handheld PC

Hewlett Packard Jornada 690 Handheld PC
  • 6.5-inch 640 x 240 display with over 65,000 colors
  • 32 MB RAM. 56 Kbps built-in modem
  • 8-hour battery
  • What's in the box: Jornada 690, Stylus, Rechargeable battery, AC Adapter, Docking cradle, Serial cable, Documentation guide

I spent several weeks looking at the assortment of PDA's presently on the market. A number of excellent "palmtops" are available, some outstanding for what they do, but they just didn't have the "stuff" I wanted. Furthermore, I'm a longtime keyboard person, and wasn't particularly excited by all the stylus models.

The Jornada 690 is as close to the right choice as I've been able to find for that combination of features, software, usability and portability I've been seeking. The keyboard is cramped and takes some getting used to, but with practice it's usable. The stylus, functioning as a mouse is basically intuitive, and the sketching utility is handy for my particular line of work.

The startup was flawless, and it linked up with my desktop immediately, requiring only a couple of adjustments to have them conversing comfortably. I've had no lockups nor crashes in CE or any of the apps. So far it has run reliably, and is exactly what I had hoped, a laptop I can carry around in my hand, for me the right choice. I give it 5 stars and hope H-P and MS will continue to support it.

Buy Hewlett Packard Jornada 690 Handheld PC Now

This is a cool device for people who are mostly on the move and feel that laptops are bulky. Size vise its perfect, about two credit cards lengthwise, it neatly fits into your hand. It comes equipped with the MS office suite(cut down versions ofcourse), but one thing that is not mentioned is that we can use power point in this just to view already made slides but, we can not make a slide show. It connects pretty easily to the net. I found that it works better with 56k connections than with 28k connections. I had lot of problems connecting it to a 28k connection. Also, there are not many windows ce applications freely available on the net(compared to the palm platform), which sort of limits you to the software it comes with. The touch sensitive screen is pretty neat as well. The voice recording feature is a really cool feature which lets you record wave files and send them as email as attachments later on. All in all this is a nice handheld and beats all others in the market.

I like my Jornada very much. It crashed on me once, but after I disabled the infamous "auto-power on" feature it went away. It is very convenient to be able to do almost everything you do with your desktop, while you are on the move.

Want Hewlett Packard Jornada 690 Handheld PC Discount?

I have been using the Journada 690 for about one month and am highly delighted with it. With its built in Microsoft Office programs and that familiar MS Desktop view. All this coupled with the quality one expects from HP. I also own a HP notebook. The quality and engineering is second to none.

I have a 1 1/2 hour train journey each day to work and the Journada allows me to to write reports and spreadsheet. Then all I need to do is download the ifnroamtion to my desktop...voilla.

The screen is great and the keyboard is just right without it being to cramped.

This is an excellent unit if one does not need or want to carry around a heavy notebook or laptop.

In fact I have just bought a friend of mine the 690 as a present.

I have had the HP Jornada 690 for several months now. I havent seen any regrets for my purchase. I bought it because I like the idea of having a keyboard and i dont like the look of the Palm Pilots. This unit is a bit heavier than its previous versions, however you get so much more for your $. Its ability to connect to the internet and SYNC with your computer are Headache free to say the least. I previously owned a Compaq handheld, I have since found it a new home. I would recomend this unit to anyone interested in purchasing a Handheld PC. It is worth every bit of the money you spend on it.

Protective Vinyl Skin Decal Cover for Pantech Element 8 Tablet AT&T 4G LTE sticker skins Glossy BlackThis thing only protects from small scratches anything else would tear the skin open. Its basically a sticker to cover your Pantech tablet. Overpriced and not worth the time and stress of putting it on. You could basically make the sin yourself if you have a vinyl sticker and an exacto blade. Shipping was fairly quick but still not worth it.

Great battery life should last over 30 days.

Detailed Notes:

Spent a lot of time deciding which Palm OS model to go with, and finally picked the Palm IIIxe, primarily for the newer OS (v3.5), the 8 MB memory and the new lower price. Looked closely at the Palm m110 and Handspring Visor, units which offered attractive prices, but with 2 MB RAM, felt they didn't have enough memory. Also considered the Handspring Visor Deluxe, but on the two models that I had a chance to try out, the screens weren't the same quality as those of the Palm IIIxe, and nobody could explain it.

You may also wish to consider the new Palm m105. See the notes at the bottom of this review for more details.

To be fair, I also considered some of the newer Windows CE devices, but was put off completely by the hand recognition software. It was too slow and hard to use, so that idea was dropped quickly. Used to use a Windows CE device made by Casio, which I put aside awhile ago. Had initially been encouraged to purchase a Palm device by one of my co-workers, but I felt that the Windows CE 1.0 device with its tiny keyboard was the way to go. Then I found out that it ate batteries at a very high rate. Lived with this for awhile, but the business of hardware ROM replacement to upgrade the unit was disturbing.

The Palm does everything I need it to, and in the month that I've had it, I've been pleasantly surprised by its versatility. The quality has proven to be excellent. The case of the IIIxe, though an older Palm design, fits the hand quite comfortably.

The Palm IIIxe comes with 8MB of memory. In useful terms, this means that you can store approximately 12,000 addresses, 5-10 years of appointments (that's about 3000 appointments), 6000 to do items, 3000 memos, 800 e-mails and many applications. The available memory has been ample to download and store a wide range of applications along with the room to store related data. The IIIxe (along with some other models) has 2 MB flash memory, enough to handle the upgraded (v3.5) OS and the built-in applications. I also went to the Palm Web site and downloaded the latest (v.3.5.2) OS and installed it. There were absolutely no problems like I had heard about with other "Palm-compatible" devices.

The screen is sharp, clear and easy to read, indoors or outside. Though I might have preferred a bit stronger backlight for those times where there isn't much light, have learned to adapt to it quickly.

The Graffiti handwriting recognition is forgiving and easy to master quickly. One of the reasons I went to a Windows CE keyboard unit a few years ago was fear of having to learn yet another way of inputting data. I couldn't have been more wrong it's easy and quite intuitive. What's even more important is that I'm now taking notes in meeting with the device that used to be done on paper.

The battery life is outstanding. It should last thirty days or more under regular use. Since one of my complaints with the Windows CE units was short battery life, I'm impressed.

The built-in infrared port allows you to transfer documentation directly from any other infrared enabled Palm device. This function works quite well. I've transferred memos to and from a Handspring Visor Deluxe and other Palm devices.

There are many software applications available for the Palm PDAs, including a lot of shareware and freeware. The commercial programs that are available are top rate, and you can even find applications that will let you edit Word and Excel files. You can even connect to Oracle 8I databases with currently available software.

The Palm IIIxe manuals are excellent, and do a thorough job of documentation. You may find, though, that this device is easy to learn with little reading. Its interface is very intuitive, and that's helpful if you dislike going through manuals.

This PDA syncs well with Microsoft Outlook, which is extremely useful for corporate users. This is a straightforward operation in which you place the Palm IIIxe into the supplied HotSynch cradle and push the button on the base. The HotSynch operation creates a log of what was done, so you can confirm that everything was updated correctly.

Picky point comes with a mediocre lightweight plastic stylus. Order an upgrade (or the Palm 3-pack) immediately. You won't regret it.

You might also want to consider the new Palm m105. Though it has a smaller screen than the Palm IIIxe, it has many of the same features but is packed in the same case as the popular m100.

If you are looking for a reasonably priced PDA that can live up to its reputation, then this is a first-rate choice. The Palm IIIxe is a solid unit at a great price an excellent investment.

If you want something better than the IIIe or something cheaper than the IIIc/V/Vx, then look no further to the IIIxe. It's the perfect blending of the IIIe and the IIIx at a price point that can't be beat. I couldn't justify spending the extra money for the IIIc (who needs color anyways! ) or for the V (2MB is kinda puny), so I opted out for the IIIxe instead of the Vx. And it's great! I've owned a handheld device before, but it was large and cumbersome and the only advantage was that it was based on something familiar, Windows. The IIIxe is simple, easy to use and learn, and very useful for that time when you need to write something down and you don't have pen and paper. I would highly recommend considering the IIIxe if you are in the market for a Palm organizer. It's priced right in the middle, has the same features that the IIIe/IIIx has but more installed RAM (about 8MB total), plus it's upgradable (although the Vx has the extra "coolness" factor because of the slim aluminum casing). I've had mine for only two days now, and already it has gotten me out of forgetting information that was useful to me. So if you are looking for an organizer and are debating between WinCE or a Palm, go for a Palm. Much simpler and easier. Besides, why would you need a WinCE device that has a color screen, limtied battery life, music playback capabilities (on a small tiny speaker? ), and that dreaded Windows operating system (we don't need another spawn of Windows...there are already too many right now with 95, 98, NT and 2000). Palm IIIxe...the way to go.

This is my first handheld, and I am so glad that I did not get a Windows CE handheld. The Palm IIIxe has over a month of battery life (compared to several hours with Windows CE), never crashes, and is so easy to use. It syncs really well with Outlook 2000 and Outlook 98. No problems whatsoever. I especially like the wide range of programs you can get online for free or at a small cost. Windows CE could not do that. Now to the Palm IIIxe itself. I think this is the "best value for the buck" Palm there is right now. Sure, there is the Palm IIIc and the Palm Vx, but they cost [more than this unit]. All three have 8MB of RAM and the updated operating system. The IIIc has the color screen, but why do you need a color screen in a handheld? If it is for playing games in color, then you are wasting your money. The Palm Vx is exactly the same as the IIIxe, except it has the new style, but let me ask you this. Why do you need style in an organizer? You may say that these two models have rechargeable batteries, a feature that the Palm IIIxe does not have, but I have been using Nickel Metal Hydrate batteries (NiMH) on my Palm IIIxe and the work very well. Get some more information from Palm users about their experience with NiMH batteries.... After you answer those two questions, you will agree with me that the Palm IIIxe is the best value Palm out now. I chose the IIIxe over the Handspring Visor Deluxe for several reasons. First of all, in the Visor Deluxe, you cannot upgrade the operating system when new updates are introduced. Handspring, however, says that you can add in a Springboard module to upgrade the OS. But how will the device operate later if you switch the Springboard with another one? No more OS upgrade, that's what. The IIIxe has flash memory so you actually upgrade its operating system. Second, I have read several user comments on the Visor Deluxe. Several people are saying that the Visor screen breaks much more easily than the Palm IIIxe's screen because of its flimsy case design. Palm put the normal sturdy case found in the III line on it's IIIxe. Second, tons of customers have complained about Handspring's customer support. I remember one person said, "There is none!" I am very satisfied, however, with Palm's customer service, especially their online customer service. Take a look for yourself at the Service and Support section at the Palm website. So what do I use my Palm IIIxe for? I use it at school to keep me organized. I am a very busy person, but the datebook helps keep me on track with my appointments. Also, I store my assignments on my Palm using a program called Four.Zero. I play games occasionaly, but that was not the primary reason for buying my Palm organizer. The primary reason was ORGANIZATION.

This review is for PDA newbies, written by another newbie. You might have done some research and know a little about what you're getting into, (which I highly recommend) but it still seems like a $300 replacement for a Rolexdex plus desktop calendar (which is exactly what it is). I was turned off by some other reviews because of the sheer detail that some experienced users go to. People literally come to depend on this things so much that when new features come along they go insane =) If you are like I was, you simply want to know if this little thing is worth the money.

The basic function of any PDA is to organize your life, period. You will get more use out of the basic calendar, address book, To Do List, and Expense List than anything else. PDAs syncronize themselves with your computer at work and at home. Most people don't realize how nice this is until they use it. Now that I understand it, I do it with everything. I download my bank statements from the Internet into Quicken, and then into my Palm. If I mark a purchase on my Palm, it automatically updates in Quicken when I get home. At work I track everything with Excel spreadsheets, and now I can carry my entire job at my fingertips, in my Palm. At home, I used to keep email addresses only on my computer, and phone numbers on a Roldex in the other room. Now the information is everywhere at once, and the clutter of these extra things is gone. Should my palm ever get lost or stolen, I've got a hassle-free backup on my PC at work and at home. It has freed my life by making organization easy and intelligent.

I got the Palm IIIxe because it has everything essential, yet is cheap enough that if I found I never used it I wouldn't feel bad about the money I wasted. It is exactly the same as a Palm Vx, except for a slightly bigger case and slightly slower, but not noticeably on either account. The Palm VII's wireless internet feature is very an expensive extra I didn't need. The color screen on the IIIc is surprising functional for the cost (these little screens can be hard to read at times). My next PDA will definitely be color. Oh, and don't settle for anything less than 8 MB of memory unless you're only using the very basic functions (in which case get an M100) Most importantly, PalmPilots offer the best experience for "virgin" PDA users, hands down. The basic features on a Palm will never throw you for a loop. And if you feel comfortable tinkering with your computer, than you can visit www.palmgear.com and get 1000's of applications to make your Palm do absolutely anything you want it to.

A PocketPC offers some of the advanced features I talked about before (importing spreadsheets and such) which come ready right out of the box, while you have to pay extra for this on a Palm, and then have the hassle of figuring out how it works. Using a PocketPC is very similiar to using Windows, but like Windows, it tends to crash. They do have more memory than Palms, and can be expanded if you somehow run out. They also play MP3 music, but with the money I saved I bought a dedicated MP3 player which is much, much better than a PocketPC could hope to be. They also play movies, but who on earth would want to watch movies on a PDA? For the basic features, they offer little over a Palm.

I had long wanted to buy a Palm product of my own, and for this purchase, I was deciding between the Palm IIIxe and the Palm Vx. Both essentially have the same specs, but the Vx has the obvious "cool" factor. I decided on the IIIxe for a number of reasons. Firstly, the IIIxe was value for money. The Vx cost... more but does exactly the same things. Secondly, there are more (and better) after-market cases for the IIIxe. Vx owners invariably complain of the lack of good cases for their Palm. Thirdly, there have also been a good number of complaints regarding the location of the Vx's on/off switch. Personally, I find this rather critical since I put the Palm in my pocket most of the time. There are other reasons, including the flip cover which the Vx does not have. The Vx is also not expandable. This is, of course, assuming that Palm will develop an expansion kit for the Palm in the near future. One also has to send in the Vx back to Palm when its internal rechargeable battery is no longer working. However, I did encounter a couple of problems with the IIIxe. Less than a week after receiving my unit, two buttons used to launch the main applications were broken. The alarm on the IIIxe is also rather feeble, making it hard to hear when you are outdoors.

In spite of its shortcomings, the Palm IIIxe is a very good product. HotSync is very easy--literally a "one-touch" operation! It works seamlessly with Outlook Express, although it works well with Eudora and other mail management software, too. There are also hundreds of free, shareware and demo programs you can download for the Palm. Even as a college student, I find the software AvantGo very useful to check on the latest financial and world news.

It has been a very good first experience with amazon.com and Palm. I was a bit skeptical to order from an online merchant, but amazon.com's customer service has been the best i've encountered.

Overally, I recommend this product for its price and functionality. Amazon.com also deserves special mention for their wonderful customer service.

Definitely a good buy for me. No regrets!
