This product has been given to me as a review unit. It arrived about 3 days after it was sent from LaptopMate's warehouse. Took it out of the package, and I was presented with a nice looking green box, similar to Logitech's box design. The bottom of the box tells you about all the features of the keyboard. Upon opening the box, I was presented with the keyboard in its plastic bag, ready to be taken out and used. Under the pull-out tray, you get an instruction manual, and a mini USB cable for charging.

The manual is well-written in English, with minor mistakes that shouldn't confuse too many people. The manual tells you the safety information, instructions on how to use the keyboard, and a small list of troubleshooting instructions in the back.

The keyboard is well-built; the body is sturdy, and doesn't feel like it will fall apart easily. It is lightweight, and feels like only half the weight of a TV remote. On the sides, it has a mini USB port, the laser and its button, the on/off switch, and a slot where the wireless receiver is stored. To use any functions of the keyboard, you must turn it on. I was glad that the keyboard had a built-in rechargeable battery, I'm not a fan of buying a bunch of AAA batteries to operate my gadgets. The laser isn't the strongest, but it fares well for presentation from about 50 feet away. The keyboard also has a white backlight; not too bright, not too dark, perfect for operating your computer in the dark.

Now, onto the top of the keyboard where most things are found. The letters are printed clearly, and the keyboard overall has a good tactile feedback; also, the keys are made of rubber, so it makes typing pretty comfortable. It has 4 LED lights on the top left corner; the first one indicates transmission activity, the second one indicates the battery charging, the third one indicates battery capacity, and the last one indicates caps lock. The top row of the keyboard consists of the F1-F8 keys (the rest are under the Fn of numbers 1-4), and the Backspace key. The Escape key is directly below the LED indicator lights, and the main keyboard pretty much begins from there. This is probably due to sacrifice for compact design, but the bottom row of the alphabets is moved over to the left a little, so you'll have to get used to it to avoid making mistakes. There's an Fn key on the bottom left, it can be used to access additional functions on the keyboard, such as PrtSc, volume and media control, and Ctrl+Alt+Del. The right side of the keyboard is reserved for the touchpad, mouse buttons, and the arrow keys.

I plugged the USB receiver into my laptop (Windows 7 64-bit), and the drivers installed immediately without any actions required. Turned the keyboard on, saw the lights come on, and I was ready to operate. I was surprised at how I could actually hold it in my hands while typing with ease. The touchpad works great for me, and is sensitive just like my laptop. The arrow keypad is a little odd, but I'm sure if I used it more I can get used to it. Pressing the keys is easy, it doesn't require any strength. The keyboard also has an auto sleep feature, where if it is inactive for a long period of time, it will go to sleep, saving a bit of battery (although it is recommended to turn off the keyboard when not in use).

This keyboard is perfect for work and home. It has a range of around 5 meters (~15 feet), so it's good for plugging your computer up to a TV and controlling it from somewhere cozier than your chair. For $30, this is a pretty neat little device. Give it a try! If it breaks, not to worry, LaptopMate has an 18-months warranty, and a good return policy.

PS. This is perfect for controlling my laptop on the TV, in my bed at night! Endless midnight entertainment, here I come! :D

I purchased this to help navigate with my XBOX 360 which I use to access Amazon, Hulu, YouTube, etc.... It works perfectly and I love the light up keys. The remote feels like a quality piece of equipment. It is not cheaply built and makes typing in the search engine a breeze. I kick myself for not buying one earlier.

I bought this Dec 5 2012 and am returning Dec 18 2012. The backlight stopped working, some keys stopped working when pressed. the touchpad works intermittently. when backlight key is pressed nothing happens. Good layout, but I wished it worked like it should. I would not recommend this product.

The curve shape is nice, lightweight and somewhat compact. Some Windows standard shortcuts are printed on the keys which I like. It also has media keys which is great. The keyboard seems more durable than previous versions. However, the keys themselves are shallow and cylindrical in shape rather than concave. Fingers lose sense of its row positioning up and down. Some of the keys are even flat. Why is there a trend for flatter keys now? They don't help anyone type better. It's more prone to typing errors. I have to look down at the keyboard from time to time to see if my fingers are on the right keys. But get this ... MS removed the Break key function on this model and a few others now! What are they thinking? It's for business but you can't use Win+Break to get to the System Dialog anymore. Break is also used in terminal emulator software, etc. What does MS gain by removing it? I don't get it. Grrr. Just two stars for that.

The keyboard mouse combo from Microsoft Desktop 3000 was purchased to replace my original comfort curve keyboard, the price was so reasonable I figured I am replacing my faulty keyboard and getting a mouse for free. The keyboard although smaller works just fine, the curve seems okay but not as "comfortable" as my larger original Microsoft curve. The mouse is another story, the blue laser is great it is very precise and works on most surfaces, BUT the switches produce a loud clicking sound when used and if you are like me when playing FPS and the action is picking up, when I depress button one (shoot) a bit harder in then normal and the one piece shell also depresses button two (move) and my guy moves out of cover...and dies of course.

Overall price is right, targeted to business usage I guess so I really shouldn't complain about its gaming abilities. So if loud switch noise doesn't bother you and you can control how hard you depress the buttons the combo at this price point is hard to beat.

update: Using a pair of wire cutters I cut out a small gap from the one piece shell just in front of the wheel, this fixed the simultaneous button push problem and reduced the clicking sound a bit.

I was a little skeptical about getting a curved keyboard at first, but as the name says, it is much more comfortable than anything I have used before. I do have trouble when using straight keyboards on my work computers now because the keys line up differently.

I tried to like this keyboard. But there are problems.

1. The Keys are NOT full sized keys. They are smaller. It took a while to get use to typing on this.

2. The Keyboard has a bulge in the middle which twists your wrists outwards. This took a while to get use to.

3. The Keys have a long-travel but they don't have much feedback, feeling like you are compressing a rubber sponge when you press down. This makes it harder to type quickly. You also have to press a longer distance than usual to actuate the keys.

4. The plastic is black and shiny and cheap feeling (unlike the Comfort Curve 3000). This means soon the keyboard looks very dirty with visible oil from your skin looking like a dirty iPad screen. You have to frequently wipe to get the clean shine back.

I can continue to use it since the original Comfort Curve 3000 is no longer made. It's inexpensive.

Whenever I can, I replace this with the Bluetooth Comfort Curve 5000, which is much better suited for fast touch typing.

Ordered and installed this modem for a client who bought a new HP computer and still needs dialup internet. Easy install, it just flat worked I would buy again if I ever need a pci-e modem.

I got the purple LG Optimus S, and therefore was looking for a clear casemy belief was why get a colored one if I got a colored phone.

Anyways, the case fits very snug on my phone, it's just a little bit confusing when it came to taking off the case. However I figured out that you just insert the pick, which pops off one side of the case and then you life the phone off in order to take off the case and you don't have to "pick around" to open the case . Anyways, my only concern is that I took it off a few time and I don't think I'll do that anymore out of fear of the case breaking. I get the feeling that the case was not meant for frequent removal.

I would say the case does help a lot, I can see some minor buff and wear on it, which means my phone is being protected.

The pouch on the other hand is a different issue. It's quite big and thin so I haven't used it, and just use the one my mom made which is much thicker, which I feel protects the phone further since screen protectors can only do so much against keys and other random crap in my bag/pockets.

Amazon Kindle Anti-Glare Screen Protector (2 Pack)

The item I received in the mail was NOT as pictured in the description. The packaging that it came in has an iPhone pictured in the front. At first I thought I had ordered the wrong product. Upon opening, I saw that indeed the screen was sized for the Kindle. Below are some of its biggest faults:

1) The fitting is poor. It has huge gaps around the screen

2) It is NOT Anti-Glare! This is the shiniest piece of plastic that can be possibly manufactured

3) It does not have any kind of adhesive backing, or stickiness to it whatsoever. I've only had these for mere hours and I've already lost the first screen protector because it fell off (no help from its ill-fit: see #1).

4) The instructions on how to apply them are inexplicably written in German, even though every other thing written in, on, and around the packaging is in English.

These are ridiculous to apply. I'm usually fairly good at this and I'm going to throw these screen protectors away and start over. They are hard to apply and there's a sticker in the corner that is impossible to apply. I think they may have slight anti-glare properties, but all the bubbles and sticky residue from the sticker in the corner renders these pretty useless. I'm not usually so critical of a product, but I wasn't pleased with these at all.

This may be somehow due to user error, but as soon as I took the film off the screen protector, every dust particle around stuck to it and rendered the thing useless. I couldn't get the particles off without leaving fingerprints and then lent from my sweater got stuck and it was over. I have tried other small form factor PCs for use with my home theater, and returned every one of them because they could not stream high quality video at 1080p. This one can, and does it like a champ. The unit comes with a bluetooth keyboard, a bluetooth mouse, and an infrared remote control. The documentation is poor (still have no idea what 2 of the buttons on the remote do,) but the product is superb. Note that the optical drive is DVD, not Bluray, so if you need the latter this is not the gadget for you. This Revo comes with Windows 8, which I have found to be mildly annoying because of the changes to the layout from previous versions, but no big deal.

I have liked Acer products for years and chose one of the first small form factor PC's for my business. I don't use the RL80 as a media center but as a desktop PC and, as such, it's a fabulous machine. Speedy and great graphics but Windows 8, or rather Metro, sucks on a desktop. If you liked games like Internet Backgammon, say adios. Microsoft is force training it's users into cloud computing which I don't appreciate. Source Forge has open source software that will give you back your Start button and boot into the desktop. Metro doesn't have multiple windows displayed concurrently so the "windows" desktop has been reduced to the tablet or smart phone limitation. Finally, don't even think about installing ANY other operating system instead of Windows 8. There are no drivers available. Don't believe me? Google to see the many people who tried.

If you know what a HTPC is and have been holding off on Windows 8 look no further. There is a bit of a learning curve but with perseverance and looking up things on the internet when you get stuck, you'll end up loving this little machine. As far as form factor, and included specifications its harder to do better if you're looking for a HTPC.

I bought this for my living room to stream movies, play DVD's and surf the internet all of which it does easily.

I had concerns with streaming video to a nettop but this unit handles streaming seamlessly. The product itself is excellent, great build quality comes with a wireless keyboard and mouse. Plugged in a webcam and can now skype from the living room. Plays DVD's and with a region free player it can play my UK as well as US DVD's.

The only reason this unit did not get 5 stars is purely down to Windows 8 and Microsoft not ironing out all the bugs in a new operating system. I have no doubts that the early bugs will be patched quickly but some applications do not work at present unit they are updated. I had to use the accessibility mode in the operating system as the fonts are quite small when viewed on a 60" TV from 15' away.

5 Stars when Microsoft sort out Windows 8.

Here is how I actually rate this product:

3 Stars As a low-end Windows machine for Home Theater purposes, but there are better machines out there.

2 Stars As an Acer product that one would want to upgrade/customize.

Normally, Acer has been really good at creating products that are upgradeable. This device fell far short of my expectations.

1) It only comes with 4 GB of RAM (with integrated graphics, you're actually getting less). It's supports up to 8 GB of RAM. When I tried opening the box to add more memory, one of the 4 screws holding the top on broke and now it can't be removed at all. Acer's support has gone so far down hill that they can't seem to help. They don't offer replacements or advice other than "take it to one of our repair centers that are 1000+ miles away from you"

2) I wanted to see how well Ubuntu or Fedora ran on it. It would not let me boot from the DVD drive. I had to create a USB boot drive and it would only boot from it half the time. When it finally did boot. It kept beeping and the screen flashed every color in the visible spectrum.

If you have a problem with this product, good luck getting help from Acer. I've never had problems with them before, but the support they offered me on the 3 occasions that I contacted them was pathetic.

it was ok. it looks like a sticker though because it is one i guess. the coloring is a bit different in person too. it looks more green in person instead of the silver in the picture. also there is no metallic shine either like in the picture.

I got this (and the Amped Wireless High Power Wireless-300N Smart Repeater (SR300)) to extend my wireless network to my workshop, at the back of the yard, about 250 feet from the house. This is far enough away that I don't get even the smallest amount of the WiFi signal from the house. I wanted to watch TV while I work, and I also needed to be able to use a phone there. I could run Cat-5e wiring underground, but that would require digging a trench across the yard, and also running the Ethernet cable from the router inside the house to a demarcation point at the exterior of the house, which would be quite a bit of work. Using this antenna--two of them, actually, one at the house and one in the workshop--I'm able to get a very strong and fast network link in the workshop.

It's incredibly easy to set up. The antenna is designed to be mounted outdoors, and they recommend using 25 feet of Amped Wireless Premium Outdoor 25ft Antenna Extension Cable (APC25EX) to connect the antenna to the Smart Repeater. Instead, I connected the Smart Repeater directly to the antenna with the short cable that comes with the antenna, and both are sitting in a closet at the edge of the house. I would probably get an even better signal if I mounted the antennas outside, but it works just fine for me with the antennas inside. In the workshop, I aimed the second antenna in the general direction of the one in the house, and it works great. There are a few trees between the buildings, and the signal still gets through.

Without doing anything to really optimize things, I'm getting 2.5 Mbps downlink, and about half that uplink. This is slower than my router's upstream connection, but it works just fine. I'm really enjoying having the network and phone in the workshop.

I purchased the AD14EX directional antenna and the SR-10000 range extender to get a signal to another location on my property 300 feet from my house. I used the SR-10000 as a bridge and amplifier since my router is in the basement and getting a cable from there to the second floor where I had line of sight to the target would have been problematic. After setting up the range extender (see separate review), I hooked up the directional antenna, temporarily mounting it on a 2x4 clamped on a portable workbench in front of an open window in the upstairs bedroom. I took my laptop that had the Wi-Fi Analytics Tool installed and walked down to the workshop and WOW my signal was as good as it had been in the house before I installed the range extender. I immediately started streaming ESPN video without a problem. With a lesser signal from the house or with more distance to the remote location, I may have needed a second antenna or booster to establish a hotspot but in my case I don't think that will be necessary. I've ordered another cable to finish the installation so I can mount the antenna on an outside wall and connect to the range extender at a suitable location inside.

First of this is a directional antenna so you have to be careful to point it in the general direction of the router give or take 5 degrees off.

If you are using this on a router and you live in a neighborhood with say 15+ routers in a given radius then you will experience loss of gain as the other routers will interfer with yours. Also, if you point it through trees then you will loss some dBm depending on density.

I have mine currently pointed through my window, 3-4 pine trees and through part of a house and still managed a 10% increase in signal strength. When I turn it the exact opposite way then I will entirely lose then network since this is a Directional antenna. Pointing it in differnet directions also gives me more networks. Pointing this at an angle other then 90° where 90 is perpendicular (opposite of parallel) to the ground (ground=0°) helps if your antenna is mounted up high otherwise you will just skim networks that have to go through roofs.

One more thing to note is that the 30° of coverage starts at the ends of this; in other words if you make a straight line from each side then add on 15° that is where you coverage starts and in between also has coverage. Diffrent from a Yagi since those start along the elements and don't have added inchs in between.

This cable was listed as a replacement for the original that came with my Palm Tungsten E2 handheld. It is similar in length to the original and works fine. It does not have a HotSynch button on it like the original (minor distraction) but it locks onto the Palm more solidly (a plus). I would recommend it to anyone needing a new cable.

I bought this cable to use with a Palm TX pda. I did not want to spend a lot of money. This cable works perfectly well. There is no hotsync button on it like the original cable (that's the only reason I docked it a star), so you have to initiate a hotsynch either with the pda or your computer, but it otherwise does everything it is supposed to do. And for its $3 cost (including shipping) it is a bargain. There is no need to spend more for other more expensive cables.

The pen is great. You can write on the HTC Flyer almost as good as a real pen on paper. There isn't the same tactile feedback as with paper the screen obviously is hard glass. But the pen is as thin as a normal pen and it feels like metal in your hand and has a good grip.

But it does not come with any spare nibs. I am told that the nibs do wear and might need replacing obviously depending upon usage. Contacted HTC and their preferred accessories seller, and no spare nibs are available. Must be somewhere, but I cannot find them.

However, Fujitsu sell a pen that looks the same, but in black and only has one button on it just the highlighter, not the eraser. I have bought this pen too. It works perfectly and is every bit as good as the HTC pen. Comes with a spare nib also. It is less than $40 including postage directly from Fujitsu. I am told that Lenovo sell a similar pen also.

I am glad I waited to purchase this pen. My HTC Flyer had a lot of glitches after the last firmware update. It would freak out when it detected my finger print was on the home icon. It would not stop until I cleaned the area. Two things helped make buying the Flyer a great buy. First I added a screen protector that helped with smudging. The other was buying this stylus (for 20 bucks!) It makes the tablet VERY responsive! And there are some cool apps that really show off what HTC intended. I thought about getting another tablet but now I'm happy! I might get another one.

I just received this but it is fast and problem free so far. If anything significant occurs with the card I will update this review. SDTools screenshot posted in the user pic section. I have this installed in a rooted stock Samsung GS2 T989. Speeds comparable to more expensive cards. It's from a more reliable (or more well known) manufacturer than most cards around but many cards are just rebrands. Not sure if this is a rebrand.

Also works great in my Canon 7D taking pics or HD video with a compact flash adapter. Much cheaper than a 32gb compact flash card. I'll be buying at least one more.

Came in official HP packaging. CLASS 10! Very fast. Used this same one for both my galaxy tab and my wife's Nook tablet. Performance has seemed very solid. Paid a bit of a premium for class 10, but hopefully it is "future proofed!" for other devices. These same cards are twice as much at big box retail. And that is if you can find one this size at this speed. Good buy.
