Black - High Capacity

Black - High Capacity
  • Compatibility: Konica Minolta magicolor 5550 (120V) Printer
  • Typical Print Yield: 12000 Page
  • Print Technology: Laser

I have discovered, through trial and error, that my Konica-Minolta Magicolor 5670EN does not operate well without toner. Who would have guessed? This means that, in order to keep the printer running optimally, one must feed it toner.

It's worth noting that the cost of toner, if I refill all the toner cartridges this lovely printer can take, is more than I paid for the printer itself. I understand that this has become the economic model in the printer industry. For some, this means it is cheaper to buy a new printer than to purchase expensive toner or ink. Konica-Minolta is ahead of that curve, though. By making the Magicolor 5670EN more than seventy pounds, this company has ensured that I will never want to move the printer, much less leave it outside for a trash collector to lift, causing a herniated disk. How would I live with myself, injuring another human being who is merely trying to do his job simply so I can save a few dollars? No, I will replace the toner cartridges. They are much lighter.

Now, this particular toner is fabulous. It is the genuine article: made by Konica-Minolta for its printers to exacting specs. This black, high capacity cartridge contains, in fact, very black toner. I would have been fine with black that was as black as day-old coffee or as black as a moonless night, but no. This toner is as black as the watchful eyes of a cobra, I tell you. As black as Satan's heart. When you look into this toner, this toner also looks into you. Try this toner and you will never buy third-party toner again. Once you go this black, you never go back.

On top of that, this toner is high capacity. This is no snack toner. This is a meal. It will take you some time to use all of this very black toner. Just in case, I printed out my last will and testament with this toner -it printed wonderfully -and bequeathed the remaining toner to someone. That's how long this high capacity toner can last. That means printing a lot of things that, hopefully, are not embarrassing, wasteful trash like insurance claim forms or tax bills. When I finally finish with this toner, I hope to be wiser and more worldly. How many toners can offer you that hope?

So, in summation, buy this toner if you happen to have a Konica-Minolta Magicolor 5670EN. If you don't have that particular printer, the toner will not do you much good at all even as magnificent as it is. However, if you do own this particular brand of very heavy printer, this is the toner for you if you also happen to print black things and want them to be very black indeed and if you also want for that black toner to last a long time. If you meet all those requirements, this toner is just as right for you as it was for me. Toner love? Yes, it happens.

Works good, lasts a long time, we print out quite a few pages daily. It is just a bit expensive for the Konica brand, but worth it.

Very happy with the product. It is genuine product made in Japan assembled in China. Installed in my printer Konica Minolta Magicolor 5670 ( which incidentally is a great printer). The printer is working fine with the cartridge.

Want Black - High Capacity Discount?

Be careful when ordering toner on line. I originally ordered from another vendor and when I got the product it was not genuine Konica-Minolta. You need to call to verify it is the genuine product. Using compatibles can void your warrentee. In any case, this was the real deal, works great, no complaints. I will use this vendor again.

My old Blackberry 8330 case was really looking bad and had scatches all over it. I love my Blackberry 8330 phone so it's really nice to be able to switch out the housing. My phone looks brand new now.

Evecase® Hot Pink Leather Cover Case Folio with Built-in Stand + LCD Screen Protector + Universal S

EvecaseĀ® Hot Pink Leather Cover Case Folio with Built-in Stand + LCD Screen Protector + Universal Stylus Pen + LCD Screen Cleaner Strap for Asus Eee Pad Transformer 10.1-Inch TF101 Android TabletFor the price of this package with the quality and quantity of accessories for the Asus TF101 I can say that I am very satisfied with my purchase. I received everything that the vendor listed and very quickly. My tablet fits perfectly and all of the openings on the case match up with all of the ones on the tablet. I enjoy using the stylus to refrain from accumulating finger prints and the stylus works very well. It does not scratch the screen. The only thing I would suggest would be purchasing extra screen protectors if you have not applied one before because this was my first time and it was difficult for me.

I have seen these for a lot more. This tablet cover fit perfectly and looks great. The price was a steal. The pens and the trinkets made it even better.

Thinking about buying another one in a different color. The overall quality of the case is a little low end. The edges have already worn down after a year of use but the overall appearance is still pretty decent. Still a great purchase if you need a case that has a little bit of style but it's more that $20.

I am quite pleased with the product itself. The Nexus 10.1" tablet is a bit smaller than the sleeve and shifts a bit, but it is a great product to protect the equipment. It does not allow for a rear camera however...

CE Compass Black Flip Leather Case Cover Stand For Blackberry Playbook

CE Compass Black Flip Leather Case Cover Stand For Blackberry Playbook
  • Leather case features smooth leather and heavy duty stitching to ensure the long life of your Blackberry Playbook
  • Features with auto-securing magnetic flap for the best combination of security and ease of use
  • Leather case cover can be turned into a horizontal stand for the convenience of viewing slide shows or videos
  • Unique design allows easy access to all buttons, controls and ports without having to remove the case

This case is of nice quality and I love the stand. Since the Playbook can rotate either way in portrait, you can have two different viewing angles with this case. But the reason why I gave it 3 stars is because the leather frame covers the Playbook's whole screen and you can't do any swipe gestures to control the Playbook. Also, the sides of the leather isn't flush against the tablet where the cutouts are for the speaker so that annoys me quite a bit. I'm going home for the holidays tomorrow so I am going to keep it for travelling. I had to take an x-acto knife and a ruler to cut the edges off. It doesn't look nice anymore. I am going to purchase a different one after I come back.

Granted, for the price, it is what it is. But, the leather prohibits using the swipe from tthe bottom function, so you are forced to use the product upside down. The "stand" is hard to use as well, wont set up easily, you have to pry open the clip to make it work

HDE Wireless USB Presentation Remote Clicker Pen

HDE Wireless USB Presentation Remote Clicker Pen
  • Page up and down function ; Remote powered by 1 x "AAA" Battery
  • 5mw Class 3A Red laser pointer - Specs: Wavelength=650nm, Output=1mw
  • USB receiver is plug and play - no driver required
  • Laser distance: Over 200m ; Control distance: Over 15m
  • HDE® is a registered trademark and is the only authorized seller of HDE branded products

I tried this out for a course I gave this summer. Works great. There is a stiffness to the buttons, and a silent "click" feel that occurs when you press the buttons. I found this to be an advantage over other "slushy" buttons where it was difficult to know if you clicked the button.

Love the AAA battery. Seems to last quite a while. I was really sick and tired of having to hunt around for CR2032 or similar flat batteries.

I was a little wary about the laser pointer. On previous presentation devices, the laser button always seems to get pressed while the device is in your pocket or briefcase. Then, to my dismay, I discover the battery is dead.

That is not a problem here. The buttons are stiff enough to resist inadvertent pressing.

All in all, this is a great little presentation pen. It is designed to move forward or backward through a set of slides. It doesn't have the useless "mouse pointer" crud that other devices have (which always work poorly).

This pointer was easy to set up in both Windows and in Linux. Having the receiver stored in the top of the pen was a smart idea. Twice I started to put the pen in my pocket and leave, only to then realize that I had forgotten to unplug the receiver and put it back in the pen top. If you forget to replace the receiver, it won't "feel" right as you place the pen in your pocket. Your immediate response will be to look down at your pocket, where you will see an empty hole in the top of your pen and realize you have forgotten the receiver.

UPDATE: 2 years later.

The USB dongle finally wore out and no longer makes a good connection. Not complaining, though. I have used this device well over a thousand times with a variety of computers, operating systems, and USB ports. I managed to get around 3-4 months of use out of each battery, although I seldom use the laser pointer function which probably helped a lot. I just ordered another, which is as good an endorsement as any.

Buy HDE Wireless USB Presentation Remote Clicker Pen Now

I love this thing.. I paid $18 for it, it takes a AAA Battery (instead of hard to find coin batteries like other devices), and the USB dongle stores inside the thing, so you won't lose it.

For the 3 reasons above, I decided to buy this presentation remote. I received it today (so I can't speak for endurance or long term quality). The laser is nice and bright. There's an on/off switch that seems to hard-disconnect the battery, so it shouldn't drain when you're not using it. The buttons click a little loudly, and overall it doesn't seem very high quality, but it's not bad at all. Finally, it worked plug-and-play on my Windows 7 and Powerpoint 2007 without problems.

If you just need an inexpensive slide advancer for the classroom, this one is a good one. The size is nice (not easily lost) only has 3 buttons (laser, forward and back) and the usb remote turns on instantly when plugged in and can be stored nicely in the clicker. I recommend it highly.

I bought this to use for presentations after getting tired of having to walk back to the console at the side of the room, or lean over to press a button at a table. (grad school, tons of them) It takes about 5 minutes to install itself for the first time, but after that it works perfectly. I've tried it with powerpoint and open office on my netbook. It's a little slower with open office, but everything is. The first real run of it was on someone else's mac. Those in charge of the colloquium wanted to use just one computer for consistency, and I was concerned that the clicker might not work for the mac, but after just a few minutes I was happily going through my slides. Two other people asked if they could use it when they saw me hook it up, so the next 5 presenters used it as well, for a total of about 3 hours. I had one cheap AAA battery that I'm not even sure was new, and there were no issues. I'll be using it four times in the next three weeks and look forward to not being stuck to my computer!

I really like that it turns off and all stays together because I'm great at losing parts or putting things away so they're pressing buttons. In the box it comes in, there's a space just the size of a AAA battery, so you can take it out and store it all together for extended periods of non-use.

This was very easy to setup and easy to use. I was able to change slides from a different room in my house as promised. I have not worn the batteries down yet, so I'm not sure about battery life, though they are easy to put in and take out.

MSI X460DX-008US: 14Inch HD (1366x768) Laptop, 2.1Ghz Core i3-2310M, NVIDIA GeForce GT540M, 4GB DDR3

MSI X460DX-008US: 14Inch HD Laptop, 2.1Ghz Core i3-2310M, NVIDIA GeForce GT540M, 4GB DDR3 RAM, 500GB HDD, DVD SuperMilti Drive
  • The 2nd generation Intel Core i3 Processor
  • RAM: 4 GB
  • 500 GB
  • 14', nVIDIA Geforce GT540M 3D Graphic Card
  • Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium

I have been using this laptop for about a month now, and have really enjoyed it. The performance is great, even with just the i3 processor. I have been able to run some fairly intensive games on it, running Witcher 2 at medium settings yields about 30 fps, which while not great, is playable and still looks nice. One annoyance on this front is the aggressive throttling that occurs when running off battery power, making it impossible to play anything that uses the dedicated graphics card when not plugged in to a wall outlet. For instance, I was playing an older game (Railroad Tycoon 3) off the integrated Intel graphics on battery fine, but if I switched it to the Nvidia graphics, the gameplay stutters.

Another issue I have come across is the placement of some of the keys on the keyboard. The right shift key is smaller than on a full size keyboard, with the up arrow right next to it. Many times while typing, I will accidentally hit the up key instead of shift. This also occurs with the small backspace key, where I will often hit the home key instead. Otherwise, the keyboard performs well. It has a nice action without a lot of noise.

The touchpad works well, especially with the included drivers. It enables multitouch much like a Macbook does (I bought this after selling my Macbook Pro). Not quite as smooth as the Macbook, but things like three finger left swipe takes you back in the browser. Pinch to zoom also works, although again not as smooth as what a Macbook has. Two finger scrolling also works well. An issue I have come across is the horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the touchpad will sometimes activate when I don't want it to, scrolling me over instead of selecting what I want. It took some getting used to.

Otherwise, the screen looks great and has good brightness when turned all the way up. Seat-of-the-pants feeling places battery life on par with the MBP. I can get a good 6-7 hours out of word processing and web browsing.

Finally, the fit and finish of this are good, better than what I have seen from other manufacturers. The weight is not too heavy. It feels lighter than the MBP, but not as well built. The body is thin, and overall it is easy to carry around.

I took one star off because of the throttling on battery without a way to turn it off, as well as the keyboard design. Without those two things, it would have been five stars.

Buy MSI X460DX-008US: 14Inch HD (1366x768) Laptop, 2.1Ghz Core i3-2310M, NVIDIA GeForce GT540M, 4GB DDR3 Now

Note: This is actually about the MSI X460DX-216US which has apparently been discontinued http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005WPUNU0/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i00 but MSI has done such an awful job with customer service that I wanted to write a review on the closest model I could find.

1/20/12: Purchased MSI laptop. It was everything I wanted it to be and more. Plus it was less expensive than a comparable Dell, and it ran computer drafting programs and 3D graphics games pretty well! Especially for the cost.

6/25/12: Laptop suddenly developed a problem where, if picked up or if resting my wrists on the empty space on either side of the touchpad, the laptop turns itself off. Tried this with and without the battery while plugged in and not plugged in and it happens consistently under all conditions. Since I was out of town at the time, I just used my laptop very delicately while placing it on a desk instead of my lap.

8/15/12: Finally home. Tested a theory where I hooked up the laptop to an external monitor and used a wireless keyboard and mouse. Laptop ran without any shutdowns for well over a week (never powered off). This confirms to me that it is something within the laptop that has a loose connection.

9/3/12: Went to MSI customer support and arranged an RMA online. It was quick and painless. Things are looking up!

9/17/12: On the MSI RMA status website, my laptop is indicated as "Your RMA has been received and is now in replacement, testing, or repair process."

9/21/12: MSI called me to tell me that they can't replicate the problem. I told them that they're insane because the problem occurred for me every time I would pick up the laptop. I told them so and they said they would look into it.

10/3/12: The MSI RMA status website has not changed. Called MSI to ask where my laptop is. After being on the phone for a half hour, I was told I would be emailed with more information. Apparently they have been waiting for a replacement motherboard and my laptop will be shipped out on 10/17/12.

10/24/12: The MSI RMA status website has not changed. I do not have a laptop. Called MSI to ask where my laptop is. After waiting on hold for 15 minutes, a recording told me to leave a voicemail. I left a very irritated voicemail. Then I sent an irritated email as a reply to the email that told me the laptop would be shipped out a week ago. Then I went to Amazon.com to write an angry review.

TL;DR version:

MSI Customer service is a joke. They have had my laptop for over a month and a half for what seems to me to be a very obvious diagnosis. This was my first MSI laptop I usually buy Dell. Dell had amazing customer service and they would promptly fix my problems whenever they arose. Dell would have shipped me a brand new laptop by now. One time I sent in my Dell (desktop) computer for repair and since that model was discontinued, they sent me the newer model, which was a thorough upgrade that I got entirely free of charge. THAT is customer service. Dell, I am sorry for abandoning you. MSI, words cannot fully express my disappointment. You have failed me for the last time.

This laptop delivers good performance for the price however it does not last at all. From opening and closing the lid the hinge magically breaks and eventually the monitor backing separates like it was cheaply glued together. Seeing that I am currently outside of the US I can't simply return it. I was trying to cope with the broken hinge until the webcam seems to have stopped working and now two out of my three USB ports seem to be gone as well. And this is after owning it for about 4-5 months.

Great looking laptop but S***TY QUALITY

WASTE OF MONEY, WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING MSI AGAIN -_-

Bought the laptop for a friend who needed a gaming laptop. The laptop was a great deal, pretty much half price to other comparable laptops. Runs D3 on high and runs smoothly.

I liked the layout of the laptop, I liked the functional buttons, very well thought out.

The glossy surface of the keypad shows some fingerprints but it didn't really bother me.

Great value, well designed gaming laptop.

Would 100% recommend.

iGadgitz Clear Tough Crystal Gel Skin (Thermoplastic Polyurethane TPU) Back Cover for Apple iPad 2 +

iGadgitz Clear Tough Crystal Gel Skin Back Cover for Apple iPad 2 + Screen Protector. Custom made for use with Smart Cover Attached..
  • Manufactured for use with iPad 2 Smart Cover. (SMART COVER NOT INCLUDED).
  • iGadgitz custom made gel skin made from hardened transparent TPU for the Apple iPad 2nd Generation.
  • Total access to all controls and functions whilst case and Smart Cover are in place.
  • Supplied with custom screen protector that will work with your smart cover attached.

I just received this back cover and it works just as described with my iPad2. It fits snugly and has precise cutouts for all the iPad's buttons, ports and speaker. It also works great with the smart cover in place. I like that I can still see the brushed aluminum back of the iPad itself with this cover on. The cover has no odor (I'm sensitive to these things) and has a nice feel a little bit grippy but not overly so. I realize it's not designed to protect the iPad if it gets dropped, but it's a good compromise for me because it adds very little weight and protects the iPad's back from scratches. A good value at around $10 since you also get a screen protector.

Update: this cover is just thick enough that it doesn't allow the iPad2 to seat into the Apple iPad 2 dock, so I'm removing one star.

Buy iGadgitz Clear Tough Crystal Gel Skin (Thermoplastic Polyurethane TPU) Back Cover for Apple iPad 2 + Now

This gel skin had a nice feel and the fit around the ports was tight, but it left at least a 1/4" gap between the naked aluminum back of the ipad and the smartcover, too much for me to keep it, as I imagine that strip of exposed aluminum will really get scratched over time.

USB Optical Laser Barcode Scanner

USB Optical Laser Barcode Scanner
  • Better Shock-Proofing and Durability: New patented Optical Laser Technology integrates a fixed optical lens; instead of traditional vibrating & rotating mirrors, which are very fragile. this new technology improves shock absorption and enhances durability
  • Superior Scanning Performance: The NuScan 3200 supports scan fields as wide as 6 inches and 16 inches deep, scanning at a rate of 80 scans per second
  • Less Harmful to your Eyes: By using a fixed expanding laser light, the NuScan 3200 is less harmful to your eyes than traditional barcode scanners
  • Low Power Consumption: Running on an Operating Current of only 80mA at 5v DC, the NuScan 3200 uses approximately 35% less energy than traditional Laser barcode scanners
  • Less Electromagnetic Interference: The Patented Optical Laser Technology reduces electromagnetic interference, reducing the chance of signals getting skipped and misread

As the title of my post says this is my first bar-code scanner purchase. I've wanted one for awhile but couldn't justify the purchase as I would only be using it for cataloging and keeping track of my movie, music and book collections. I use 2 different programs for my movie collection and 1 program for my music and book collections.

As a movie fan-atic I buy a lot of movies (mostly blu-ray and some dvds that I don't think will be released any time soon if ever on blu-ray). It seems all the applications for collectors use the UPC code to add titles to your collections. My eyes aren't as good as they used to be and often I get the numbers out of order or just wrong and it becomes a long process just to list the titles by UPC manually.

So, I did a lot of researching of bar-code scanners. There are a lot of them at prices that are very inexpensive to expensive and a whole lot in between.

I usually rely on what others have experienced with a particular product especially when I don't know all that much about it myself and more often than not it pays off.

This bar-code scanner installed without a problem on my Dell laptop. Windows 7 found the driver so I didn't need a setup disc. And even better the scanner worked perfectly right out of the box. And it is a huge help when entering a lot of titles in a short period of time. For my movie collection I use both DVD Profiler and Movie Collectorz programs. I prefer the Collectorz.com application but I like the ability to have my collection available on a web page so I also use DVD Profiler.

As I've said, this scanner makes adding movies, music, etc a breeze and I can add them fast so I'm not spending hours as I did before.

This bar-code scanner works perfectly every time. Totally accurate and it reads every bar-code even a few that had some sticky stuff over the code on certain upc codes and some that had a small hole in the upc code.

I've very happy with this purchase and I think anyone looking for a good scanner that is a mid-range priced one should consider this one.

Vera Bradley Mini Laptop Case Bag

Vera Bradley Mini Laptop Case in Ellie BlueWow this was better than I expected. I collect Vera so I wasn't worried about the quality. I did wonder about the sturdiness. It is extremely sturdy. With the handy Velcro bars, I can easily secure my iPad 2. I even have mine in a hard cover for the back of it and it all fits. My VB clutch wallet fits in one pocket and my iPhone and cords fit in another. I put my stylus in the inside. I can also carry my portable stand if I need too. I used the case today as a purse when I went grocery shopping. Could easily keep the case partially open so I could see my grocery list on iPad. Still room for wallet, keys and sunglasses.

This mini laptop case was adorable. I loved the print. I liked that it is actually a hard case wrapped in the Vera Bradley fabric. I had to send it back though because it was just barely too small for the Samsung Chromebook I purchased it for. Got a Vera Bradley laptop backpack instead.

CLIE PEG-N610C/V Purple Handheld

CLIE PEG-N610C/V Purple Handheld
  • Stylish color PDA
  • 8MB, Palm OS software
  • gMovie player, Jog Dial
  • Expansion slot
  • What's in the box: Clie Handheld, USB HotSync Cradle, Detachable AC Adapter, Stylus, Installation CD-ROM, Applications Manual, Graffiti Sticker, Protective Cover, Top Cover Piece

I spent months deciding which PDA to get. I wanted to see the second-gen Pocket PCs before I did anything.

Ultimately it came down to reliability, bells & whistles, and cost. I'm the first to admit I love gadgets. So I was mightily tempted by the current crop of PocketPCs, particularly for their gaming ability. Face it: this generation of Palm PDAs--even the ones with the Dragonball 33 mhz processor like the Clie--can't compare to the 206 mhz 32-bit StrongARM-powered PocketPCs when it comes to animated gaming. The Clie's 33 mhz 16-bit CPU simply lacks the horsepower for realistic animation. The same goes for video. So if it's important to you to be able to play action games on your handheld or watch movies on a tiny screen, by all means get a Pocket PC.

If you want to use your PDA for business, understand that Pocket PCs are still toys for adults. Business users should get a Palm OS PDA. And if you're going to get a Palm OS PDA, the Clie 610c (or 760c) is the way to go.

This may sound like blasphemy to Clie fans--Sony is trying to position the Clie 6-and 7-series PDAs as multimedia machines to compete with Pocket PC. But they really can't compare in that regard for the reason I noted above. (You can listen to music on your 760c, though.)

So why the Clie, with its Palm OS, instead of Pocket PC for business? After all, Pocket PCs will sync with your Windows apps, right? Pocket Outlook, Pocket Word, etc must be a more seamless match than Palm's 3rd party apps, right? Wrong. Pocket Outlook is a brain-damaged version of the real thing. Just try sync-ing subfolders. It's not gonna happen. Same with Pocket Word. You lose all your formatting. Meanwhile Palm OS has 3-4 different 3d party apps that sync with each program, and allow you to retain your subfolders and formatting. And these are just examples. The Palm business apps really are better--for now.

Then there's reliability. The dreaded Blue Screen of Death should be all-too familiar to all Windows users. Guess what? Now you can have the Blue Screen of Death right in your Pocket. Imagine how much fun you'll have when you're on the road and your Pocket PC requires a hard reset and you lose ALL YOUR DATA and you can't restore it from your desktop because you're, as I said, ON THE ROAD. Pocket PC's are as unstable as their pre-Windows XP big brothers. In my view, they are not stable enough for serious business use. Palm OS, by contrast, is rock-solid.

Cost is also a factor. Personally I can easily afford the [the price] of a 2nd-gen Pocket PC, but for what purpose? I would have a very expensive Gameboy Advance, and I would still need a REAL PDA for work.

What really sets the Sonys apart from the crowd of Palm OS PDAs is their incomparable screens. The Clie 610c and 760c use the same screen technology as the Compaq Ipaqs--universally cited as the best in the Pocket PC world. And the Sonys posess even higher resolution than PocketPCs (320 x 320 vs 320 x 240). All the other Palm PDAs are still stuck with relatively dim 160 x 160 displays (OK, the Handspring Prism isn't dim, but it is still low-res). But the numbers don't begin to tell the real story. The 610c's display is bright with 64K colors, readable in daylight, and razor-sharp . You will never go back to a monochrome unit once you've used the Clie.

Clie also has a jog-dial. It sounded handy before I tried it, but after using it: big deal. A non-issue. Clie also looks cooler than other Palm PDAs, but that's just my opinion.

As for support, I confess to being among the very first PEG 415 users, as I ordered one direct from Sony the day it came out. The 415 has a 320 x 320 16-shade grayscale screen in a beautiful brushed aluminum body that is a bit over 1/2 as thick as a 6or 7-series Clie. Unfortunately, the 415's screen is so dim it is almost unreadable in ordinary light, even with the (weak) blue-green backlight on. (...)

As for expandability: you're pretty much limited to the memory stick. There is an MP3 player add-on for the 610c, but if you wanted MP3 you would have bought a 760c in the first place. The memory stick itself is excellent, and cost is now comparable to other flash memory. But if you want a GPS unit or some other specialized add-on, you'd better go with a Handspring.

Battery life on the Clie 610c is excellent, particularly compared to Pocket PCs. I routinely use it for 2-3 days without charging it, and the battery life has always remained above 3/4. It would probably last over a week with a single charge.

Construction is very sturdy. I haven't had a problem with dust under the screen as reported by some Ipaq users.

The bottom line is, the Clie PEG 610c's multimedia abilities are oversold, but its beautiful display, Palm OS and apps, and compact size make it the best choice for a business user. Pocket PCs are undeniably better at multimedia, but they still aren't reliable enough for business use. My suggestion: give Microsoft a pass this time and check back in a year or two. By then Pocket PCs may be ready for prime time, or Palm may well have overburdened its simple, stable OS with a plethora of features in an effort to match Microsoft, making Palm OS just as unstable as Pocket PC. Either way, you'll be ready for a new machine by then, anyway. For now, though, Palm OS is the only real choice for business, and the Clie 610c is the best Palm OS PDA out there.

I have a PEG-N710C, which is the same as this model, but includes the MP3 player functionality, which can be added to this one as an option. This is a wonderful PDA. The resolution is amazing and much better than its Palm or Handspring competitors. Photos can be downloaded and viewed with brilliant clarity. The memory stick slot is very handy for storing applications, MP3 files, or pictures. Memory sticks can be shared between the PDA and other Sony electronics. I have a Sony digital camera as well and it is very helpful to be able to use my memory sticks in both the camera and the PDA. Applications cannot be run directly from the memory stick but pictures and MP3 files can be directly accessed. The processor is fast, the UI is great, the unit is lightweight, and I have had nothing but good experiences with Sony support.

I have owned a Palm m105 for quite sometime now. I was bored to tears with it though and rarely used it. it was dim screened, slow, and the screen was small.

I am very happy with my Sony CLIE' 610c. this is the clearest, and fastest Palm available that I have found. with 16-bit color, I have pictures of my daughter on it, and show them off instead of carrying them in my wallet.

People "ooh" and "Ahh" over that! Its a great device, I definatly recommend it to anyone looking to buy a personal organizer.

I dont regret purchasing it at all.

I put off buying a PDA for the longest time until I saw the Clie'. Nice graphics and fairly easy to use. The Clie's lightweight and small package size is great for somebody who does not want to be burdened with bulk vs. features. Another plus is the versatility of expansion utilizing Sony's memory sticks. This will allow you up to 128 mb of additional storage. If you use your Clie' as a GPS you can store a lot of maps on one or multiple memory sticks. Since I am into video production I see the audio or lack of, as the only drawback in that the clips play VERY well visually but there isn't any audio. If you wanted to run a quick demo for a client they can see the visual but not hear it in the Clie's standard configuration. Audio can be added as an option for about $125. The internal batteries also do not seem accessible by the consumer so I would surmise that I would loose the use of my Clie' while it was in having it's batteries changed. With the few drawbacks I have stated I feel that the Clie' is still a worthwhile investment.

When I saw a demo unit of this beauty sold for only $250 at CompUSA, I could not help me to get one to upgrade my aging Palm IIIx. Overall, it is a worthy ugrade. Here are what I like and not:

What I like:

1) best screen I've ever seen, bright and Hi-Res, it is great to shot off your photos;

2) Jog-dial is easy for one hand operation;

3) long battery life;

4) very stylish;

5) Memory stick what! Did say Memory stick is good? Yeah, you bet. Comparing with CF, it is small. Size does matters. I guess it is why Palm uses SD or MMC, but they are more expensive than MS. Again, MS is not Sony-only any more. I use Lexar and I see SanDisk out there too;

6) 8MB is enough if you know how to use MS with MsMount, and you will never short of storage. I recommend not-so-big 32MB since this one can not be used as a MP3 player.

What I don't like:

1) clip-on cover sucks, fall off too often, why Sony can not give us one come with Sony T-series?

2) lack of better font support to take full advantage of the great hi-res screen;

3) lack of lock mechanism for MemoryStick, I often accidently knock it out, although no harm to Palm OS at all.

4) a bit heavier than what I like, a form factor like T615 will be perfect (T615 is expensive and its buttons are too bad). In fact size and price are my main objections to Pocket PC devices.

5) lack of accessaries, I lost my stylus, Guess what? I can not find a replacement form local stores. Since Sony is relatively a newcomer comparing with Palm and HandSpring, it surely will be better over time;

6) don't bother with palm Desktop software come with Sony, it is slow and has problems with Avantgo, and can not sync with Netscape Mail. Download version 4.0.1 from palm instead.

PNY Single Slot USB CompactFlash Flash Memory Card Reader

PNY Single Slot USB CompactFlash Flash Memory Card Reader
  • Data rates over 30X faster than the more commonly used serial interface
  • Installation is a Plug-and-Play breeze
  • Simply plug the device into a free USB port on your computer
  • Windows automatically detects device and installs required drivers
  • Insert a Compact Flash card into the Reader, and double-click the icon to view the card's contents

...P>Has issues with Windows 98, even with downloaded drivers from PNY's website. Windows 98 would "lose" the drive, i.e., not recognize/detect it after a period of usage. Tried the reader with other Windows 98 machines: got the same problems.

Works perfectly with Windows XP. Installed quickly. No drivers necessary. True Plug and Play bliss.

Functional, but ugly. ...P>Anyway, just a caveat emptor to Windows 98 users: you may want to look at another vendor for your CompactFlash needs.

Though you need the drivers on the enclosed CD if you have Windows 98, for other operating systems this self-installs when you attach it to a USB port and shows up as a removable drive. Then you can copy files from your CF card at USB speeds. An extension USB cord is included if necessary, but if you have easily accessible USB ports you can just plug it in directly. It's the next best thing to having a built-in CF card reader.

I purchased the PNY USB Compact Flash Card Reader at Best Buy... After installing it on my Windows 98 system, the card reader behaved erratically, crashing the system or making the drive disappear from the system (in other words, Windows 98 suddenly can't detect it anymore). Even downloading updated drivers from PNY's website did not work.

To be consistent, I tried the reader with two other Windows 98 machines and got the same problems. Interestingly enough, it works very well with Windows XP systems (no drivers are needed for installation true Plug and Play at last!).

The transfer rate of the reader is the standard USB 1.1 rate: about 1.5 Megabits per second, slightly faster than a zip drive, since the card reader and media have no moving mechanical parts.

Side note: I was about to give up on getting any flash media and readers whatsoever since I use Windows 98 a lot. However, I have used two other flash products (Sandisk's 128 MB Cruzer using SecureDigital media and JungSoft's 128MB solid-state drive) with no problems on both Windows 98 and XP.

So, caveat emptor: if you're using Windows 98, you may want to look for a reader from a different vendor. If you're using XP (I have not tested the product with Windows ME) and don't mind USB 1.1 transfer rates, the PNY USB reader is an inexpensive solution.

P.S. I gave the product three stars because given the smooth designs of other available products (SanDisk's Cruzer comes to mind), the reader looks an oversized, uninspiring lump of flattened coal (Uh, PNY, hello? Other companies have already done the market research for you: people like silver.) A CompactFlash card is not that large; PNY should have designed a more compact (intended word use) reader that won't burst the seams of my shirt pocket.

Beware of used electronic items. Failed units look identical to good ones. To offer them for sale is a fraud. Compact Flash readers are susceptible to pin damage. Ham-fisted people who try to force cards into the reader the wrong way will bend or break the pins. That's exactly what was wrong with the two I received.

PDair Black Luxury Silicone Case for LG Optimus 7 E900

PDair Black Luxury Silicone Case for LG Optimus 7 E900Fits the phone perfectly, nice texture and reasonable strength and thickness(about 1.5mm) so it will probably protect the phone well. However it has a weird rubbery smell when first removed from packaging, hopefully the smell will go away after awhile.

This case is awesome! It's a perfect fit and just what I've been looking for. It feels incredible and the texture just makes it real premium. Thanks heaps!

I wasn't sure what to expect with the price of the cover being so inexpensive but i am satisfied with it considering what I paid. It is a thin slip-on soft cover that has its holes in all the right places. It has a hole for the camera an face so it's alright. The reason I am only giving it a 3 star is that you shouldn't expect much when you get it but it works!

I received the correct spring loaded stylus that I ordered. I have problems with the stylus falling out of the Tungsten T holder. I had this problem before I ordered the replacement. If I insert the stylus with the pointed end UP, it doesn't fall out. Not exactly as it should be but plenty good enough to prevent me from losing it again.

I give these calculators to students that have forgotten to bring calculators to my finance exams. I wanted calculators that were cheap but functional. These calculators meet my objectives. The keys aren't too small though the calculator is small (portable). One mistake that I made is that I thought that the calculator was solar powered. It's not solar powered and uses hearing-aid type batteries. I have to be careful to turn the calculators off when I put them away. My sense is that it is easy for them to start if they are jostled in a bag. When the batteries die, I will replace these calculators with solar powered calculators.

HTC Stylus Scribe Digital Pen for Flyer, EVO View 4G, Jetstream Tablets (99H10269-00) Retail Packagi

HTC Stylus Scribe Digital Pen for Flyer, EVO View 4G, Jetstream Tablets Retail Packaging
  • Don't Lose an Idea - Just type or scribble the moment you have it
  • Enjoy the freedom to draw, paint, write or retouch pictures
  • Share your thoughts quickly by scribbling onto a PDF, picture or your own notes and send it on.
  • You will always have your notes to hand: typed, scribbled, or recorded, they instantly sync back to your computer
  • Charges from one AAAA Battery - Battery Included

The pen is great. You can write on the HTC Flyer almost as good as a real pen on paper. There isn't the same tactile feedback as with paper the screen obviously is hard glass. But the pen is as thin as a normal pen and it feels like metal in your hand and has a good grip.

But it does not come with any spare nibs. I am told that the nibs do wear and might need replacing obviously depending upon usage. Contacted HTC and their preferred accessories seller, and no spare nibs are available. Must be somewhere, but I cannot find them.

However, Fujitsu sell a pen that looks the same, but in black and only has one button on it just the highlighter, not the eraser. I have bought this pen too. It works perfectly and is every bit as good as the HTC pen. Comes with a spare nib also. It is less than $40 including postage directly from Fujitsu. I am told that Lenovo sell a similar pen also.

I am glad I waited to purchase this pen. My HTC Flyer had a lot of glitches after the last firmware update. It would freak out when it detected my finger print was on the home icon. It would not stop until I cleaned the area. Two things helped make buying the Flyer a great buy. First I added a screen protector that helped with smudging. The other was buying this stylus (for 20 bucks!) It makes the tablet VERY responsive! And there are some cool apps that really show off what HTC intended. I thought about getting another tablet but now I'm happy! I might get another one.
