Lexerd - HP iPAQ 111 TrueVue Crystal Clear PDA Screen Protector (Dual Pack Bundle)

Lexerd - HP iPAQ 111 TrueVue Crystal Clear PDA Screen Protector
  • Ultra Thin
  • Crystal Clear
  • Guarantee To Preserve Original Color Tones
  • Heat, Water Resistance, Against Scratches and Shields Damage
  • Not Interfere with Touch screen Technology

Even though I cleaned the screen thoroughly, this just won't stick at the bottom and bottom corners... I don't know if the PDA is the problem or the protector. Otherwise, it was easy to put on and does the job of protecting the screen.

Edited to add: the protector is falling off and it's been less than a month. :(

Moshi Concerti Hybrid Folio for iPad (Sahara Beige)

Moshi Concerti Hybrid Folio for iPad
  • iPad
  • Doubles as versatile iPad stand with various tilt angles.
  • Hybrid silicone inner case with Terahedron microfiber lining provides superior 360 degree shock and scratch protection.
  • Integrated hand pocket alleviates wrist stress when using the iPad handheld.
  • Includes detachable lanyard for added security and portability.

This is my second Moshi cover. I found the first one at a specialty Mac store in NYC that doesn't do online sales. When I bought my new iPad, I looked at all the products available here locally and at everything online. I even ordered one that looked good, but I was very disappointed when it arrived, and I actually saw it.

At that point I decided the only way to go was another Moshi case, since I have been so happy with the first one. Amazon had the best price and selection. Nothing else has the feel or texture of the Moshi, and the elastic strap keeps the iPad secure when it is closed. It costs a little more than several others, but it is worth the price. Go with the regular case, however, and not the higer priced one with the strap. That strap is a good idea, but the execution is flawed. It makes it hard to use the case, so you'll just detach it anyway.

I bought this thinking that it is for iPad 2 but when I receive it , I realized is too loose for iPad 2.. Thus b caution when placing order. Part of my mistake for nt checking n verifying before proceeding to order

The rubber holding on to the pad is quite thick .. Nt sure if a iPad 1 is fitted , will the rubber holder obstruct the pressing of the button.

Took more than a week after ordering to received.

The suede like material feels great !

I did not like the covers that only had one side and were magnetic...they did not "protect" the ipad2 from my kid! This one keeps it safe and we love it!

Want Moshi Concerti Hybrid Folio for iPad (Sahara Beige) Discount?

I bought this holder for my new iPad after researching several holders. I prefer a fabric cover over leather, so this one caught my eye. This is a nice alternative to the leather and vinyl options, the color I chose is the tan and is a rich color, no fading or mottling. The feel is very soft and I found that after a few months use it has held up well, no visible wear and tear marks. The stand portion works well. If you're looking at keeping your iPad on the light side bear in mind this holder adds a bit of weight, but on the other hand it serves as good protection. I found that I have to reach under the rubber edge to operate my control buttons as it is a thick rubber and the controls do no react when you press over the rubber. For me, this has not been a great inconvenience, but for some it may be. Overall I have been very happy with this choice.

When I read the specs for this cover, it seemed exactly what I was looking for -the rubber inner case provides the protection of the form-fitting cases while the cover and back outer case protects the screen and allows for angled viewing/typing. Were it not for one shortcoming I would give this product five stars, as it functions wonderfully. However, the faux suede material that the outer case is made of gets quite warm in the hand if you are holding the case for any extended period. After a few minutes, you almost feel like your hands are clammy. I'm not sure if this will be a deal breaker for me and will lead to yet another iPad case purchase, or if I will just learn to live with it -as I said, other than this, the case functions marvelously -but potential buyers should be aware so they can make the judgement call themselves.

Acer Aspire V3-771-6865 17.3-Inch Laptop (Midnight Black)

Acer Aspire V3-771-6865 17.3-Inch Laptop
  • Intel Core i3-2328M 2.2GHz (3MB L3 Cache)
  • 6 GB SDRAM
  • 750 GB 5400 rpm Hard Drive
  • 17.3-Inch Screen, Intel HD Graphics 3000
  • Windows 8 64 bit, 4-hour battery life

Popped the battery in and it booted right out of the box after an easy set up. Windows 8 is like, whoa man, but this review is not about Windows 8, so I will stick with the quality of the laptop which has lots of bright, screen real estate and is on the heavy side which is good to me. I wanted a reliable brick of a laptop to use primarily at home. Will update as needed.

With the single exception of the slick and easily smeared 'show every fingerprint' case, this is a fast, well-built and very quite laptop. However, and this is not a comment on the laptop, as a former mainframe and peripheral Field Engineer I must say that Windows 8 is the most difficult, inconvenient and non-intuitive OS I have ever used in more than 40 years (not a typo!) of involvement with computers!

I comparison shopped for laptop/notebooks for quite some time. I tested some comparable machines in various places, and this one had all the attributes I have sought after.

I found this item to be a perfect fit for my family and myself. This laptop exceeds my expectations for speed, ease of use and the overall feel of the machine.

The tutorial preloaded on the computer was able to get me from what seems like last century, (Windows XP), to this century, (Windows 8), in no time.

The HD Screen (LED/LCD) makes the graphics look so real and vibrant.

The speed of the Intel Core i3-2328M (2.2GHz, 3MB L3 cache), 6 GB DDR3 Memory are just amazing. The Acer Nplify 802.11 a/g/n + BT 4.0 get me to the internet and all my other devices without the hassles.

I would highly recommend this Acer Aspire V3-771 6865 17.3-inch laptop to anyone

A very good investment for a good price.

Want Acer Aspire V3-771-6865 17.3-Inch Laptop (Midnight Black) Discount?

This computer is simple with the Windows 8 OS, and it's RAM allows for good video editing and video games.

I love the large screen, color is good and graphics for games is very good. It was a little hard to get used to the Windows 8 operating system but that had nothing to do with the quality of the product.

Nextar MC3007 40GB Multimedia Machine

Nextar MC3007 40GB Multimedia Machine
  • mp3

This device is a total waste of money. I'd give it ZERO stars if I could but since one star is the lowest allowable, I give it one star (while holding my nose!). It took two weeks for delivery to begin with (I'd forgive that if it was worth waiting for), specifications don't list the screen resolution (I've seen better QVGA displays), very slow recharge rate, sluggish controls (non-intuitive), poorly written on-screen instructions, unit locks up repeatedly, shiney plastic bezel shows smudges and finger prints.... I could go on, but I'll wrap it up by saying that the unit doesn't work. I didn't even get to the part of trying videos because just viewing 6 megapixel JPEGs was tedious enough and the photos looked crappy. If this junk is any measure of Nextar's other products PASS as quickly as possible (I know I will). I'm returning it ASAP.

Buy Nextar MC3007 40GB Multimedia Machine Now

This is a fairly unique product given its screen size. Majority of similar HD based media players come with very compact screens, impractical for watching movies while traveling or outdoors. This full 7" display is very good quality and more than adequate for the purpose.

Unit is fairly light and compact given the screen size (7.75" x 4.5" x 1.25") easy to operate and with decent battery life (over 3hrs). Operation is very quiet. The unit gets a bit warm after some 20 minutes of playback, but not terrible.

You can also use it to display photos and mp3 files. It can record sound and TV broadcast(!), but haven't tried that feature. There is a slot for SD card, and a very easy simple way to load files onto its HD (40GB) from your PC. No extra software or drivers needed.

With the included AV out cable, you can hook it up to a larger screen, such as a TV in your hotel room. Very convenient. The unit also comes with a nice set of tiny headphones. The built in speaker is fine in an environment with the low level of noise, otherwise headphones are needed. Naturally, a charger is also part of the kit, as well as a USB cable.

Quite annoying, however, is the unit's difficulty to properly display aspect ratio of wide screen movies. Anything that is wider than the units 1.73 ratio is flattened more than it should be, regardless of the original settings (you can manually chose aspect ratio). If you opt for manually changing aspect ratio during playback, the display switches to either 4:3 or 4:3 pan/scan, but won't revert back to "wide screen" unless you restart the video.

There is also issue with fast forward/rewind which seems to be media/encoder related. Some videos f.forward without problem, while others just won't.

Overall, very decent device while traveling, but for longer trips you would also need a spare battery (over $30 from the manufacturer, otherwise extremely hard to find). The unit seems to be on its way out, harder and harder to find, being over two years old. It's a shame, since very few similar products on the market offer similar features for the price. Probably the strongest feature and what sold it to me is the screen size, hard to beat. When it comes to screen size, no iPod or other similar player comes close. The only similar product I found is a Korean made portable DVD player also offered by amazon, for similar price, similar or larger display size (comes in two different sizes), but no internal HD. That other unit, however, offers USB access to hook up a flash drive. See it here:

iGadgitz Pink EVA Travel Hard Case Cover Sleeve for New Amazon Kindle 4 Wi-Fi 6" E Ink Display Eread

iGadgitz Pink EVA Travel Hard Case Cover Sleeve for New Amazon Kindle 4 Wi-Fi 6' E Ink Display EreaderThis little case was exactly what I was looking for for my Kindle 4. Simple, no-frills, inexpensive, and its very strong, hard sides protect the device when it's bouncing around in my purse or backpack. I never use the elastic strap, I just place the Kindle inside and zip up. The little mesh pocket is perfect for holding the charger. Also since there are two zippers you can plug the charger in while the Kindle is in the case, just zip the zippers up around either side of the cord. I've recommended this case to several friends who have the same sized Kindle as mine.

rooCASE Netbook Carrying Bag for Acer Aspire One AO722-BZ 11.6-Inch HD Netbook - Deluxe Series Black

rooCASE Netbook Carrying Bag for Acer Aspire One AO722-BZ 11.6-Inch HD Netbook - Deluxe Series BlackI've had 4 netbook bags now and have picked up them up cheap when the oppurtunity presented itself, all hoping to find the perfect one. This is the closest so far, and is better than the targus and 2 belkin bags I have. The best thing is the styling it is far classier looking than the others, while simultaneously being a less attractive target for theft because it doesn't scream LAPTOP. It looks like it could be a simple document bag or just another piece of luggage being checked through the airport security. The padding is only adequate but is just as good as the other bags I have I've added some extra padding but that's just me.

I've been going smaller ever since I bought my first laptop a decade ago, and the 15" Targus laptop bag I've been carrying around has seemed more and more overkill every time I switched machines. This time, with an Acer Aspire 11.6" netbook, I decided to go to a smaller bag. Most netbook carriers are just sleeves or sleeves with handles, though, which is decidedly less than I need. My laptop bag carries more than a computer.

This was the only bag I could find that really seemed to meet my needs, and it turned out to be really nice. It seems to be built really well, and rooCASE has a lifetime warranty much like Targus did. The netbook slides in easily yet snugly and there are more pockets than I'll ever need.

The only complaint I have is that the front pocket, where pens and adapters and such go, doesn't really have any depth to it. The AC adapter to my netbook alone makes it bulge out in a very ugly fashion; when I add other things like my phone adapter and a portable mouse it looks like an alien is about to bust out. It's not hard to close, though, and it doesn't seem like it'll cause any damage.

I ordered this bag for a gift and the person I bought it for loves it. It is made very well, not too big, not too small. It holds quite a bit plenty of pouches, zippers, storage areas.

Want rooCASE Netbook Carrying Bag for Acer Aspire One AO722-BZ 11.6-Inch HD Netbook - Deluxe Series Black Discount?

I purchased this carrying case for a trip I was taking overseas in which I relied heavily upon my Acer aspire one. I was looking for a case in which the netbook would fit snugly and be amply cushioned that would also have sufficient pockets an extra space to store a rather extraordinary assortment of cables, chargers, mouse, ear plugs, passport, boarding pass, etc. The roo, which arrived without delay easily met all expectations for storage and portability. Additionally, the construction appears to be very sturdy and has an eye pleasing design. It has a discrete lateral webbed belt in the back that both conceals a further zippered compartment, and allows the case to be hung on the collapsible handle of my wheeled carry on case for airport travel.

An excellent product at a very good price, delivered when and as promised.

DURAGADGET Car 12v Cigarette Lighter Charger For New Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000 / ARM Cortex A8 1GHz /

DURAGADGET Car 12v Cigarette Lighter Charger For New Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000 / ARM Cortex A8 1GHz / 512MB / 16GB / 7' Touch Screen / Android 2.2 Froyo / Tablet
  • Uprated 2A Charger for the Samsung Galaxy Tab
  • Charge your TAB in the car
  • Use your existing Galaxy Tab Cable
  • Glass fuse to ensure safety

I bought this charger several months ago and thought it was another rubbish I had ever got as it could not charge my Galaxy Tab nor my Blackberry 9700. It can charge my other phone and a bluetooth earphone though.

However yesterday I found it could charge an Ipad2. Also I found that many other chargers and computer USB could not charge the Galaxy Tab when it was turned on but could be charged when off. So I guess it was not the problem of the charger, it might be some interal setting inside the Galaxy Tab.

Buy DURAGADGET Car 12v Cigarette Lighter Charger For New Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000 / ARM Cortex A8 1GHz / Now

The device claims to have a 2A out on both USB ports, but either Duragadget failed to set the proper resistances to ID the outputs to the Tab as a 2A max draw or it simply isn't putting out 2A, as the Galaxy Tab will only recognize it as a USB trickle-charge (charging icon will have a red X, and it thinks it's been connected to a USB port and will offer to turn on mass storage mode). Technically, the Galaxy Tab will still gain charge in this mode, at least if it's powered off, but not quickly, as a 2A charger should. In that half-charging mode, it may even slightly drain even when plugged in, depending on CPU and screen draw.

HQRP Replacement Internal Li-Poly PDA / Handheld Battery for Palm Tungsten E T5 TX PalmOne & 2x Scre

HQRP Replacement Internal Li-Poly PDA / Handheld Battery for Palm Tungsten E T5 TX PalmOne & 2x Screwdriver + Installation Manual + Screen Protector
  • HQRP™ Replacement battery plus HQRP™ Screen Protector;
  • Li-Polymer Internal Battery;
  • 900mAh High Capacity; 3.7V;
  • No Memory Effect, The battery can be recharged without loss of capacity;
  • CE and SGS-ISO-9001-2000 Certified; Fits Palm Tungsten E, T5, TX; 200 days warranty.

I installed this battery in my Tungsten E and fully charged it. It has not been performing as expected as it does not hold the charge. I frequently have to put it on the charger and on a few occasions lost all the information on the machine due to low power. I am retired and do not use the PDA as heavily as when I was at work yet the charge does not hold more than a day.

The leads are soldiered onto contacts upon a plastic strip. The leads, soldier and strip are thicker than the battery and protrude on the tape side (the battery is secured with double sided tape) preventing it from laying flat making the tape useless. And the Tungsten E has zero fault tolerance. I was able to close the case but now the buttons are not nearly so tight.

I had been using palm products since 1999. I had a Palm IIIX and later a Tungsten E model. When the battery was dead I decided to purchase a new one.

Since the newer devices seem to last more than a few days with a single charge, I expected the same from this product. It might not be the fault of the battery. Or it might be the fault of the Tungsten E device but the battery kept draining in a few days even if I did not constantly use the device.

As a result I gave up using my Tungsten a and that battery purchase was a dead investment for me.

Want HQRP Replacement Internal Li-Poly PDA / Handheld Battery for Palm Tungsten E T5 TX PalmOne & 2x Scre Discount?

I installed the battery on my Palm T|X. I can not be happier with the new battery. A full charge supported my continous video watching for hours, still plenty of juice left. I did not expect this battery to perform this well. Sure, a new battery on an iPod will do better, but I am not paying for that! The original Palm battery did not last much longer neither as I remember. I am appreciative, this battery saved my Palm from a trip to the recycling bin. I charge my devices everyday anyways, so it does not bother me to charge it often. People found his battery does not hold charge could be because they did not fully charge the battery. The battery indicator on Palm shows a full charge right after one unplugs the charger, even if the charging is not complete. So be patient do a thorough full 5 hour charge and the result will be better. The small screw drivers come with the battery is very thoughtful, I would never find such odd tool in my toolbox. The soldering work is quite simple. If one has a 40W solder gun, simple tipping on the end of the two wires will connect them to the board. Openning the back of the Palm is more challenging, hold the tabs back forcefully, felt like going to crack something. Not a big problem even if it does as there are four screws to hold the plate.

I looked at this kit and what others had to offer when I decided to bite the bullet and replace the battery in a Palm TX I'm still using (it has about 10 years of my travel history and makes a dandy travel alarm). I rejected this kit because while its battery may work for a Palm TX, the OEM battery is 1350mAh whereas the one in the kit is only 900mAh. Considering that it is non-trivial to change the battery I saw no point in skimping on it; i.e., this one is not a good choice. DirectFix and others sell batteries that match the OEM battery spec for between $10 and $20, which is well worth the few extra dollars given the effort required to make the replacement.

If you are willing to take this on it really isn't very hard, but be sure to check out a couple of the YouTube videos that take you through the process it will likely save you some angst. Note that the various techs in the videos do different amounts of disassembly, but if you are careful, you shouldn't need to do any more than open the case, fold it out, remove the old battery, and solder in the new one (yes, it has two wires that need to be soldered to the main circuit board, exactly like the old battery).

For the TX you will need a Torx #5 screwdriver to remove the back cover Home Depot sells a combo that has Torx 4, 5 and up for about $6 (Husky tools). The plastic case opening tool sold for all manner of devices like this one is quite helpful, although if you don't mind the minor scarring a screwdriver will produce in prying the case apart that will work, too. Since the old battery is glued to the inside of the case, it may take a bit of patience to work it loose ... I used a razor blade to break the glue membrane, speeding up the removal. Soldering in the new battery is easy if you have an appropriate iron just be careful you don't short anything out in the process ... I shuddered in watching a YouTube video that illustrated the process when the tech came perilously close to shorting his replacement battery by holding the leads side by side while removing their protective end caps. Likewise, in removing the old battery be careful to only cut one wire at a time (else you short any charge left in it across your clipper blade) and be cautious in soldering not to make more than a single contact to anything. If you've done any soldering at all to a circuit board you should be able to handle this easily it's only two easy to reach contact points. If you are a novice at soldering you may want to consider getting a more experienced friend to do the soldering.

  • Power output: 2.4 W
  • Diameter, driver: 5.2 cm (2 in.)
  • 3.5mm Jack
  • Compact
  • Rechargable

I love these little speakers! The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is because it didn't come with an A/C charger (which is faster than USB) and the price is high. I chose the Manhattan brand because they have a lifetime warranty. I bought these in Manila, Philippines with an A/C charger for $4.00 and here the same thing withOUT the A/C charger is $18.50 by U.S. Mail. They have a really great, LOUD sound for such a small unit. They have a rechargeable battery so they are great for your Ipod or as I use it, for my portable XM Satelite radio XM3Pi.They actually were better than my Dell Studio laptop speakers for quality of sound and volume. You can plug it into your pc via USB for charging only and use the 3.5mm plug for the audio. DO NOT, I REPEAT ...NOT lose the cable because you can NOT find a replacement cable that goes from 3.5 to mini USB. Then the unit is useless. The older version had a 3.5mm plug on the speaker which allowed you to daisy chain multiple speakers, easily plug into the speaker and your unit providing the audio AND the cable was easily found/replaced.....the new one only has the mini USB connection on the speaker end.

  • 6 Reinforced Grip Corners to Hold Tablet with Maxium Protection. Access to all Controls and Ports.
  • A MUST Have for all Asus Transformer PRIME TF201 Owners!!

You can find my full review with photos and such on my xda review in accessories section of the TF700 forum. This is an abbreviated review. This case was initially marked for the TF700, then changed. I ordered it before this change. I intended to send it back as it changed the same day as I bought it. The seller was awesome and offered full refund and return shipping with no issues. I decided to try it anyways. It was tight but it did fit. After a few days if use the tightness loosened up and it was a perfect fit. It clings with 6 tabs. 4 are primary and 2 are just to help it at its pivot point, not used to hold case to device. These secondary tabs are ather loose, but still serve their intended purpose. I have absolutely zero regrets on this purchase. If you decide to get it for your TF700, be aware it may or may not be an ideal fit, but it will likely be tight which will loosen up over a week or so. Especially the closure tab, which was very difficult at first but is actually quite easy now after just a few days.

Materials 5 Stars. Keeping in mind this cover only cost $20. Leather is serviceable and the soft inside should not cause any scratching.

Profile 4 Stars. This at least doubles the Prime's width. The protection is good so you are making a sacrifice to hopefully have the tablet look like new for a long time. Slim is most likely in comparison to Roo Case's Dual View case.

Fit 2 Stars. It slides into place but the fit is terrible. The bottom "hooks" for lack of a better term really feel forced. They should by design have an easy in and out feel. The hook to close the top of the cover also requires some force to close the cover. The hooks to keep it in place are great but Roo should really have thought about the function of each hook rather than make them all the same.

Overall I would give this 3 stars but am hesitant on keeping it. Will update with durability if I end up keeping it for an extended period of time but my first impression is that I will not have issues with durability.

***UPDATE

I am adding a star to my review for two reasons. First of which being PC Micro Store has been the first company to ever follow up with me on a purchase through Amazon. Pleasant conversation with a sales rep who explained that they sell a similar case for the iPad and said users mentioned it needed to break in. I am still not completely sold on the closing hook but overall the case broke in relatively quickly to a good point. No doubt this case will hold up over time though. I would give the seller 5 stars, it is nice to deal with a company that cares about its reputation and end user's experience.

I contacted the seller after ordering and then reading some comments here about the fit of this case to a TF700, I was concerned about accepting delivery. I received a response within 24 hours from their customer service and they couldn't have been nicer. They encouraged me to try the case but I would have no problem returning the item for either a swap or a refund they had some new cases coming in as well that they indicated I was free to try to ensure a proper fit on my ASUS Infinity TF700.

I admit the case was a tight fit to the tablet but I am VERY pleased with it and have no intention of returning. Sliding the tablet into the two top corners and side holders was a breeze. Once in it took a little extra effort to wrap the bottom two holders around the lower corners of the tablet but once they were in I was comfortable that the tablet was in tightly. In fact, I preferred the tightness of fit as I felt the mounting was VERY secure and there would be no problem with tablet slippage. Also, since the case and corners are leather they will stretch a little over time and with use. I do not set the tablet up on a desk so I cannot comment how fitness would be affected if frequent removal from the lower frames for vertical viewing is done. However, overall I couldn't be happier with the case and highly recommend PC Micro Store.

Received case and quality was quite good. Case has basically 6 hooks that keep it in place. One on the top, bottom, and each of the corners. The hooks closest to the spine couldn't wrap around the TF700T but the others did just fine. It seemed like the tablet was just a few millimeters to large. So, whenever I opened the cover, the case would fall from the tablet at the spine while the other hooks held.

In the end the product quality was solid, just didn't fit what it said it would properly.

iConcepts Deluxe Starter Kit for Compaq iPAQ (3800/3900 series)

iConcepts Deluxe Starter Kit for Compaq iPAQ
  • Everything you need to get you stared with your Compaq iPAQ 3600, 3700, 3800, & 3900 series Pocket PC
  • Leather carrying case
  • Pack of 12 screen protectors and wet/dry wipes
  • Universal 4-in-1 stylus

I was very disappointed with the carying case. First, a nacked iPAC just rattles around inside. It might be ok if you have an adaptor attached but I don't know because I don't have one. The belt loop is a joke as it isn't large enough to fit a normal belt even though the case itself is virtually empty with a nacked iPAC. The pen is nifty, but I don't personally need a pencil, black ink, and red ink ... only thing I've used is the stylus and the one on the iPAC is more convenient. So, the only thing in this pack that I will use is the screen protectors which should cost a lot less than this package.

iPad 2, 3 and Retina Non Slip Protective Case and Padded Neckstrap

iPad 2, 3 and Retina Non Slip Protective Case and Padded Neckstrap
  • Durable Protective Case and Comfortable Padded Neck Strap
  • Heavy Duty Clips and 'D" Rings Insure you and your iPad never become separated
  • Perfect for Students, Waitress, Airplanes and any Public Transportation
  • Case and Neck Strap only, does not include iPad.

My husband bought me an iPad 2 64 gig 3G for Christmas (yay!). I have been afraid to use it because I have a neurological condition that allows me to drop things all the time. I was looking everywhere for a lanyard-type device (the iPad has no place to connect a lanyard to, which surprised me).

I found the PodFob, and it is just right! It was only a little difficult to put on the iPad especially at the corners, but considering what it was created to do, that is actually a very good thing.

It feels safe, and appears very well consructed. I just bought a Kindle Fire for my sister who has the same neurological disease and also drops everything. Her husband bought her the PodFob for the Kindle Fire, and while she hasn't had her birthday yet and hasn't tried it, I am already certain that it will be as good for her as it is for me. Great product!

Unisen iPazzPort KP-810-18R Wireless Keyboard and Touchpad with Learning Infrared (IR) Remote Contro

Unisen iPazzPort KP-810-18R Wireless Keyboard and Touchpad with Learning Infrared Remote Control 2.4G RF Google TV CompatibleI have been looking for a good way to control our HTPC from the couch and had thought that I finally found it. I first ordered the iPazzport "air mouse" with learning IR functionality iPazzPort 2.4GHz Mini Wireless Fly Air Mouse Keyboard with IR Remote. This was a fairly well designed product. I really enjoyed the backlit keyboard and found it easy to type. Setup could not have been easier and the range was good. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the air mouse functionality. I find it much more difficult to use than touch pads that I have tried in the past. It was a good product, just not the one for me. I returned the product to seller and had no problems at all.

Because I enjoyed the keyboard aspect of it, I decided to try out a very similar product: the Unisen iPazzPort KP-810-18R Wireless Keyboard and Touchpad with Learning Infrared (IR) Remote Control 2.4G RF Google TV CompatibleUnisen iPazzPort kp-810-18R which is very similar to the first, but has a touch pad. I purchased the product from an Amazon seller called Key to success. I received my order very quickly and it was packaged well. So far so good!

The product was awesome! In fact perfect! Not only does the keyboard work well, the touch-pad is great, the buttons are well designed, setup is as easy as it can be, and the IR learning remote is fantastic. This seemed to be just the product that I was looking for. Then after a week everything went south. For no apparent reason the lazer pointer button jammed and would not turn off. I was able to dislodge it with a sewing needle and was still committed to it being a great product. Then the next day the IR remote randomly stopped working. I would press a button and I would get a quick blink of the LED but then nothing. Touching a button would not do anything unless I took out the battery. Ok so maybe we are down to a 4 star review now. I was still enjoying the rest of the product.

Then the touch pad started working intermittently. Sometimes it worked great, and sometimes not at all. And then to top it all off, the battery stopped charging. How disappointing! All of the reviews of this product were great. Maybe I just got a lemon. These things happen. So I decided to contact the seller of the device (key to success)to request a return or exchange. My first contact was four days ago, and I got no response. My second contact was yesterday, and still no response. I would like to give this product another try, despite my concern that it might not last very long. This has all the makings of a great product. It's well designed, looks good, feels good, works well...for a while. If I am able to get in touch with the seller and get a replacement I will write another review. This should be a five star product all day long, but after breaking within a week, it's lucky to get two stars.

Plug and play item the instructions to program the TV remote are very confusing.

These are the steps;

1. press TV key once and the press SET key for 2 seconds until green light comes up.

2.choose the key you want the remote to learn EJ: press power key once and press power key on the other remote (the actual TV remote) then the green light will flash 3 times letting you know it has learned the code. Repeat the process per each key

I've had this for about a week. For my HTPC setup, I had been using a wireless keyboard and a IR universal remote. The keyboard was too big, and I don't like having a separate remote. This seemed like it could cover everything in a single device, which it pretty much has. At first, I couldn't get it to connect reliably to the computer from more than five feet away. I moved the dongle onto a the end of a 10M long active repeater USB cable far from the computer and now everything works great. Surprisingly good reception even from outside the room.

It packs a lot of functionality into one little device. The touchpad and all the keys seem to work well, except that the mute button doesn't do anything on my Win7 system. The touchpad also is very responsive. I love that it is rechargable -no more dealing with dead batteries.

It would be nice if the IR side had more buttons. The vol up and vol down buttons require key combinations of the function key + F2/F3 -a little bit of a pain for something so frequently used. On the side of the device is a Page Up / Page Down button right where the pad of your thumb goes. It would be great if that were the vol button. However, the scroller on the trackpad makes a halfway decent volume adjuster for VLC. Also, the button to turn on the backlight is also a combination of function + F1; a backlight button really should be set apart from all the rest so it is easy to identify in the dark. This device also has a laser pointer which I covered with a piece of black electrical tape -don't want the kids pointing it at each others' eyes.

I think I might try using a keyboard remapper utility to change a few of the keys to be more to my preferred layout.

All in all, this was an excellent purchase. Well worth the money.

I couldn't be happier! The seller "iPazzPort" recommended me this device in order to operate my PS3 and it works great. Also, it is the only one that works as a remote control for third party devices like TVs. It worked perfectly with my PC running Win7/64bits.

The only negative thing is that the user manual is very difficult to understand due to the poor English and grammar. The manual is also in Chinese, so I assume that the asian that wrote the Chinese part also wrote the English part.

Even with that, the product exceeded my expectations!

This item works great and was exactly what i was looking for. I was never able to get the keyboard to sync with my TV/DVD player because the manual was essentially useless. For the functions of keypad/touchpad, it worked great.

VTech Helio Handheld PDA (Translucent Blue)

VTech Helio Handheld PDA
  • 8 MB RAM, 2 MB flash RAM
  • 3 shortcut keys
  • Features e-mail, scheduler, memo, address book, expense manager, and a voice recorder
  • Stylish color
  • 1-year warranty

Negative criticism at the bottom.

I was looking for an inexpensive pda, but a pda that's worth more than it costs. I found the Helio. Palm and Handspring units are way overpriced when compared to the Helio.

I am a student. I use the scheduler to keep track of appointments or important days or activities (the alarm has a tone or a voice recording option). I use a folder under memos to list my courses, in which I keep track of assignments, tests, etc. The to-do list is great for keeping track of things you need to do (it also has an alarm that you can set, but don't have to). If I only have a few seconds to write down an assignment or something I need to remember, then I can record it instead of writing it down (4 button pushes: on, record, stop, off).

It keeps track of expenses, has a phonebook, you can sketch where you put your car or have a friend draw you a map of how to get somewhere, and jot is 1000 times better than any other writing recognition system I've seen. I can actually *write* into it as fast as I can write a note on paper (mistakes are minimal, and mostly result from my habit of rotating the angle of writing).

I have a few clips of music that I recorded for myself. 50 minutes of recording time is nice. Quality is decent (not stereo quality, but that's not necessary from a pda). I got the eReader and a few ebooks. I read "Waiting for Godot" on my Helio. Another useful application I downloaded was a program that has a timer, a stopwatch, an alarm that you can set without putting something in the scheduler (better for a quick reminder for later, like "call sue at 4"), and an analog clock.

Time and date are at the top of the screen. The scrolling buttons at the side are very useful (many palm and visor users have commented on how nice that is over their units). Shortcut buttons to applications are more useful than you can imagine (quick jump from scheduler to memo or search). It shows the time in any time zone with just two clicks.

I put some of my writings on my Helio too. All you have to do is use the Helio Desktop and copy a document into a memo. Sync it, and you have a document in your Helio. It doesn't support font sizes, different fonts, bold, italic, and such (it's basically like Windows Notepad), but I think they're making a new application to do that. Not important to me anyway.

I use my finger sometimes to write sometimes.

What doesn't it have? What don't I like about it?

Well, it doesn't have infrared. At this point, I don't see a need for it, so I don't particularly care. There isn't a huge variety of software. I definitely don't see a "need" for software. They are working on some useful applications, like a map program and an mp3 player. The scheduler isn't the greatest, but no other pda I've seen has one any better.

BTW, most bad reviews are of the old Helio. They fixed those bugs and added a lot of things. Check the date on bad reviews. (new Helio was released around April 2000, I think)

I've used about 40% of my battery power after a week. It *seems* like a lot, but that might be mostly due to the fact that I've been using it very often over the last week. I haven't had any bugs or errors on it or on the software. The battery gauge is a little quirky. It usually shows what it is, but now and then it'll show 100% battery power, which I know isn't true.

The other thing is that I can't find anything to use the accessories slot for. They said something about a keyboard/modem combo for $100, but I can't seem to find it. I don't think it's available yet. The Visor has a camera and the Palm has a few things, like their modem and their keyboards, but those aren't really that useful.

75Mhz is nice, but is it really that useful? On Palms, you wait maybe 2 seconds between applications. On Helio, you wait .2 seconds. It's nice, but for 1.8 seconds, is it really a selling point? Then again, it is useful for the search function... Nicely fast searches when compared with Palm searches (and I searched 700k of documents for a single word, so it's not like I was searching nothing).

Ok, so Helio offers Linux. I like VT-OS. I'm sure almost all people who have the Helio like VT-OS. Do we care about Linux? No. Selling point? No. Some people might, but it's not a selling point for the majority.

Oh yeah, and I'm looking for a nice case. They offer 5 cases that I've seen (comes with one, that I'm using now...it's fine, but I'm looking for something bigger to be a wallet and a pda case), but I don't like those as much. Many companies offer cases, but most of those don't fit the Helio.

Vtech is continually updating their operating system (which isn't all for bugs...they added extra options to scheduler and let you configure jot and stuff like that...they also let applications use greyscale), they're working on more applications, and they're trying to give users options as far as applications for the Helio and syncing software.

The Helio performs just as good as the other brands out on the market. The 8MB of ram and all the options this device performs is fantastic for the 169 price tag. To top it off, it even has a built in 30 minute digital voice recorder. The ease of use is incredible. I had a few questions and contacted vtech support and got immediate assistance both via email and phone. Great support after the sale and ease of use of the product all packaged for only 169 is a great deal that won't disapoint you.

I received the Helio as a gift. I actually started my research on PDAs to get my husband organized but then he truthfully claimed that he'll probably lose it. I kept doing the research anyway because by that time I wanted one for myself. I couldn't decide which one to get. I looked at the Palm M100, Handspring Visor, Casio Cassiopaeia and even the Franklin eBookman and the Helio. My sister made it easy for me by buying the Helio from my Wish List. At first, I was a little disappointed that it was not the Handspring nor the Palm which both came with 2 MB of memory. I even waited for a few days before I opened the box with every intention of returning it and exchanging it for the Franklin eBookman 911 at $229 once it comes out (the prospect of being able to download books, MP3 files and still be organized was just too hard to resist). However, my curiosity got the better of me and I opened the box. Hmmm, it looked nice. Not as sleek as the M100 but it's okay. It came with 2 AAA batteries and a carrying case. I didn't even bother reading the guide and just started playing with the stylus. I was surprised at the ease of operation! The next day I started categorizing our monthly expenses. Sure the categories are limited but I just had to be creative (eg., mortgage payments are under "lodging"). I started keeping track of vacation and sick days taken, even the menu and shopping list for my baby's upcoming baptism. The way I'm going, the 8 mb of memory sure is handy. I even made a voice recording of my baby saying "Da-da" for posterity. "Synching" was very easy and once we connected the USB cable to the right place (it helps!), it worked great! I still have to figure out how to download my e-mail (from Outlook) to my PDA but my life is not THAT hectic and my junk mail can wait until I can access my computer. All in all I think this is a great product. (Thanks, Jenn!) Now, if I can only get my husband organized...

After extensive research in the PDA market, I purchased the Helio 3 months ago and I can't be any happier. It comes with a huge 8mb of memory which is hard to find in other PDA's at this price level. Also another big plus is the voice recorder which comes with an amazing avg of 50 mins fo recording time. You can leave voice messages for yourself or even record entire meetings! The screen is also backlit which makes for easy operation in the dark. You can also choose from different colors which sets the helio apart from the boring PDA's out there. Don't let the lack of thrid party software scare you off because first Vtech seems to be working hard to create new software on its site (new progams have been popping up lately such as a program that lets you download websites to the helio). Second, ask yourself if you will realistically be using half of the excessive features found in PDA's twice as expensive? The Helio won't walk your dog for you but this is a great value with exeptional features for anyone who is looking for a basic scheduling, emailing, and organizational features.

I bought the VTECH HELIO PDA based on the comparatively low price for the 8mb storage and the high rating of another AMAZON reviewer. I was terribly disappointed. First, the battery life is 2-3 days with the PDA in the OFF state, i.e. with no use. I tested this by replacing the AAA batteries 3 times with fresh cells. This is unacceptable; I lost data twice when the batteries drained. (This inidcates a poor design in power supply stage of the device.) Secondly, the non-Palm OS is subject to numerous protection fault errors; this plagued me during scheduling operations, causing me to reset the PDA more than a dozen times, losing data each time. This is a case where you get what you pay for; I'm going to get another PalmIIIxe or a Handspring Deluxe to replace the HELIO.

I give these calculators to students that have forgotten to bring calculators to my finance exams. I wanted calculators that were cheap but functional. These calculators meet my objectives. The keys aren't too small though the calculator is small (portable). One mistake that I made is that I thought that the calculator was solar powered. It's not solar powered and uses hearing-aid type batteries. I have to be careful to turn the calculators off when I put them away. My sense is that it is easy for them to start if they are jostled in a bag. When the batteries die, I will replace these calculators with solar powered calculators.

I love this little mini calculator because it's small enough to carry in your purse or pocket. About the size of a cell phone. It was really cheap and does the job. My husband is always borrowing it, Guess I will have to order one for him too.
