I first got the invisible shield from zagg which was $30.

It was extremely difficult to apply and I didn't like the feel of it. My fingers didn't glide as smoothly over it. Also, the holes for camera and home button didn't match. So after looking for a while, I ordered this because of good value and I also wanted to try anti-glare one.

First, installation was very easy, especially after struggling with invisible shield. You just need to be a little patient and clean the screen well. Many people suggest using hot shower to settle the dust. I thought about trying this but I was too lazy so I just did it sitting on my bed and still didn't trap any dust. I was able to peel it and reposition the cover.

The holes for camera and home button matched perfectly and covered all the way to the edge. Some reviewers wrote theirs didn't match exactly so it may just be mine that fit well.

Anti glare was very effective in preventing glare but the screen looked a little grainy. It wasn't too noticeable but I am sensitive to this so I switched to the clear one. Anti glare one also didn't leave any finger prints as supposed to little bit of finger prints on the clear one (though easily wiped).

The clear one is very nice, doesn't interfere with the screen quality, can't even tell it's there. Overall, the quality is very nice and can't beat the price. very happy

Installation tip:

Little sticker for picking up dust pre-installation is included. Make a good use of this.

Don't peel the backing all the way at first like it says on the instruction. Peel only an inch or two, align the cover along the edges of the ipad, and press it with included squeegee or your hand as you peel the rest of the backing. Stop this mid-way and check for any dust that might have settled on the the other half of the screen. Use that little sticker to trap it and then finish installing.

The bubbles will can be pushed out if the dust isn't trapped, but if you see a dust inside bubble, you can peel it carefully, remove the dust(i used that small sticker directly on the sticky part of the cover to remove it), and reapply it.

I installed the clear one, and it is not exactly "clear": the surface looks as if there is oil all over, with multicolor reflexes. Bad.

As to the supposedly anti-reflex one, it greatly reduces the crispness and visibility of the screen, so it is going to the trash.

I do not recommend these to anyone who appreciates good screen protectors, which are meant to protect the screen from scratches, and also, still allow us to view the screen well.

It almost, but not quite, fits iPad 3. There is an annoying gap all around. It passable, but I sent it back in hopes of getting a different one in the proper size.

Clear screens were ridiculous to apply. The anti-reflective protectors were much easier, but when they were on, they made my iPad (3rd gen's) screen look absolutely terrible. I knew that it would mute the colors a bit, but it made everything look extremely grainy, and almost sparkly. Waste of money.

So I spent $12 on this, was excited to have my iPad nice and protected. I open up the packaging, read the instructions thoroughly, clean the screen and set out to apply the cover.

I put cover 1/4 on the iPad and its got a few bubbles, no big deal i decide to use the squeegee as per the instructions to get the bubbles out. Oh wait, that's dust caught on the screen. I lift up the protector and try to get the dust off. This results in more dust. I lift it up again, and the screen crinkles, leaving a huge bubble that will never go away.

No big deal, I think. Its just 1 of 4. Let me try another one, now that I learned what not to do.

I try again, same exact result -4 out of 4 times.

These protectors are impossible to put on without getting dust under the screen or crinkling the protector. I am so disappointed that i wasted $12 on this, and decided i would rather live with scratches on my iPad's screen than have to deal with 3 hours of trying to put on screen protectors that winds up in my punching a hole through the wall -or at least wanting to.

I got this specific case because I planned to use my new mini largely for reading, and this makes it easy to hold like a book.

Works just as I had hoped for that, also great for protecting the mini.

One drawback--a few games I've played use the extreme edge of the screen for a popup menu, and that can be difficult to access with the case on (the mini's screen is so very close to the edge on the long side). But this has only been for a few games. I've just popped it out of the case while playing those and right back in when it's done. No problems.

Loving my Kindle 2, I was seeking a product to provide adequate protection for its all-important screen. BoxWave's claim is that their screen protector is "the perfect blend of anti-glare and optical clarity". Hoping that this was true, I carefully read the instructions on the ClearTouch packaging. They are very straightforward, providing five detailed steps for the installation of this screen protector.

I cleaned the screen with the provided lint-free cloth, peeled off the backing of the screen protector, and carefully aligned the ClearTouch with my Kindle screen. Amazingly enough, the ClearTouch acted like a "smart" protector and settled perfectly to the screen area.

One issue that arose was a few initial bubbles under the ClearTouch. These disappeared once I followed the package instructions and pressed the bubbles out with the included applicator card. Being a bit inept at this sort of thing, I had also managed to get a few specks of dust on the screen. I removed the ClearTouch, washed it per the instructions, and reapplied. There were some water bubbles, but again, these were easily removed.

My overall experience with BoxWave's ClearTouch has been a positive one. Any issues with bubbles are fairly easy to resolve, and I love how the ClearTouch is so unnoticeable! I would strongly suggest this screen protector for anyone who truly loves their Kindle.

I have a 1st Generation Kindle and this ClearTouch Anti-Glare Screen Protector is a *perfect* fit.

First off, to address complaints about trapped bubbles, all screen protectors will potentially leave some bubbles behind no matter what. You will not find a screen protector that doesn't. With that said, the Boxwave Screen Protector is the best screen protector money can buy. I have been using the Boxwave brand of screen protectors for years for all my electronic gadgets and I've been extremely happy with them. They're pricier than most other brands of screen protectors, but they're well worth it. They are *very* high quality screen protectors you really *do* get what you pay for! I was trying to save a few buck$ by getting one of these for my Kindle boy, was that a mistake! I ended up tossing it out and getting this Boxwave screen protector instead.

I like to grab on to my Kindle without having to worry about inadventently leaving prints on the screen or scratching the screen.

The screen protectors are very durable and will probably last the life of your Kindle. Since the Kindle doesn't have a touch screen, you will not be wearing the screen protector out by tapping on it with your finger or with a stylus.

Invisible

You can't tell there's a screen protector on your Kindle if you've properly applied the screen protector.

If you decide to remove the screen protector, it will not leave a sticky residue behind.

Leaves bubbles

To be fair, *all* screen protectors *are* going to leave trapped bubbles behind. I have two minuscule bubbles trapped in my screen protector but these are hardly noticeable, especially when the Kindle is turned on. Don't fret if you have a bubble or two trapped in the film. These typically diminish or disappear over time. The included plastic card and microfiber cloth will help in removing any bubbles.

Pricey

But you do get what you pay for! The Boxwave screen protectors are about the best quality screen protectors I've ever seen.

Tips

First align the screen protector with one side of the Kindle screen (left or right, depending on whether you're left-handed or right-handed), ensuring that the film is not slanted. SLOWLY lower the screen protector from one side of the Kindle, all the while making sure you carefully monitor the alignment of the film to ensure it isn't slanted. AS SOON AS you find that it's been misaligned, peel it off right away and restart the process. The film has a certain amount of rigidity to make it easy to work with (it has the rigidity similar to that of a transparency film). As you lower the film, push out any trapped bubbles. If you made a botch of the application, use a piece of scotch tape to pull the one corner of the film up so you can get a handle on the film to peel it off completely. Start over. A small plastic card and a microfiber cloth is included to help you smooth out the film.

Thoroughly clean the screen before you apply the screen protector. Use a Swiffer duster or the included microfiber cloth to clean off any dust on you Kindle. Don't be lazy or try to cut corners any specks of dust that get stuck on to the screen protector will be almost impossible to remove! (I use a Swiffer duster and some cotton balls soaked in alcohol to clean my screen before I apply the screen protector).

Some people suggest that you use a pin to prick the bubbles. I wouldn't recommend it since you risk damaging you screen. (It would be rather ironic, wouldn't it, if you damaged the screen while you're trying to protect it?). Like I've mentioned, the trapped bubbles typically diminish or disappear over time anyway.

Ok. I admit it. I am anal when it comes to scratches on my techno gadgets. Having said that, after recently receiving my Kindle 2, I was worried that the screen might get scratched. I ordered this directly from the manufacturer. I didn't realize Amazon sold it, but that is besides the point.

I love it. It installed just as instructed. I have a tiny, tiny air bubble at the bottom of the screen that refuses to go away. Other than that, you don't even notice that it is there. My mind is at ease :-)

After reading several negative reviews, I did not plan to buy this screen protector, and in fact, I bought a different one. However, one of these screen protectors came with the silicone skin that I also bought, so I decided to try it. It went on easily and works just fine. The other protector that I had deliberately bought remains unopened in my Kindle case as a backup.

Bubble-free application is easy, but you have to take some care. There are two steps to a bubble-free application: cleaning the Kindle screen and applying the protector properly.

(1) Clean the Kindle screen before you apply the screen protector. I cleaned my Kindle's screen in two steps. First, I dusted it lightly with a lint-free cloth. Second, I sprayed it with a small amount of lens cleaner for eyeglasses and then wiped that off.

(2) Apply the screen protector. The screen protector comes sandwiched between two clear films. Each film has a tag sticking out, one of which says "1 Back" and the other of which says "2 Front". (Some early reviews say the two films were not identified, so apparently these tabs have been added since the screen protector first appeared on the market.) The "back" side goes against the Kindle screen, and the "front" side faces you after the screen protector has been applied. So, you peel off the protective films in numerical order. Start by peeling off the film with the "1 Back" tab. That uncovers the clingy surface that will go against the Kindle screen. Be careful not to touch that surface with your fingers lest you get hand oils or dirt on it. Hold the screen protector by its edges and align its bottom edge with the bottom edge of the Kindle's screen. Gradually let the protector fall against the screen, moving from bottom to top, by pressing it and lightly rubbing it with the card applicator that comes with the screen. You may have to pull off the last millimeter or two if you get a bubble and then push it back down. Work your way all the way to the top. You should end up with no bubbles. You then can peel off the film on the other side ("2 Front").

Note that the screen protector is somewhat stiff. That makes it easy to apply, but it also means that if a tiny speck of dirt gets between the protector and the screen, the speck will hold the protector off the screen well around the speck itself, resulting in a very noticeable bubble. If you get a speck under the protector, peel the protector back far enough to reveal the speck and then lift off the speck by touching it with the sticky side of a piece of adhesive tape wrapped around your finger. You can use the protective film you peeled off the protector to lift the corner of the protector so that you don't touch the protector's sticky side with your finger.

The package for the screen protector says it is removable and washable. The protector has no adhesive on it. It is just a very sticky plastic. It therefore is easy to remove. Just peel it off. Because there is no adhesive, I presume both sides of the protector can be washed, but I don't know for sure. You can clean specks of dirt off the sticky side of the protector by pressing the sticky side of adhesive tape against the protector and lifting off the dirt. I did that with a makeshift protector I made from the original protective film that the Kindle came with. It worked fine with that film, so I presume it will work with this much heavier protector.

By the way, that makeshift protector had quite a few small bubbles under it, but they made no difference to the readability of the Kindle. My experience is that bubbles are more esthetically displeasing than a serious interference with function. Also, the makeshift protector was shinier than this dedicated protector, yet I had no trouble reading the Kindle even in bright sunlight. Glare seems not to be a practical problem.

This protector is an excellent product.

Buy a case and put it in immediately after using and you won't have to worry about scratches. Don't waste your money on these "protectors".

And don't believe the "easy to apply" "no bubbles if applied correctly" because these are obviously written by paid reviewers. No one out of the dozen friends who have tried this have been able to apply one without a minimum of 15 bubbles. They can't be worked out without scratching and damaging the plastic either.

Very nice Decorative skin. Because the stickers are only on the front and back and not on the sides or over the keyboard I can't see it actually being protective but it does do a decent job of making the phone look a different color. My only gripe is that the sticker on the back covers the entire back and won't allow the back cover to be removed. This can easily be fixed by a simple cut, I did so on mine and it still looks good.

Basically there's nothing else to add to that the previous reviewer didn't say. It rapidly charges all your portable digital devices (including phones, pdas, mp3 players...basically anything with a usb cable).

The unfortunate problem is that the battery pack (held in the socket case you see pictured) is an actual 5volt Lithium Ion battery that fits into the palm of your hand and is somewhat heavy---no lightweight power source here. Unless you have a long trip ahead of you, it's not something you can lug around every day on your shoulders, particularly if you carry a heavy load everyday as it is. It weighs about 1.5 pounds and you feel every inch of it if you're carrying a small bag or even a messenger bag for a long period of time.

That said, even though it's the ONLY problem, it's also the LEAST of the problems because it Works so well. Additionally, it has a bonus that other lighter weight power packs do not: This pack has the MAXIMUM power wattage 7200mah found in any other battery pack on the market as of the date of this review. Check around and you'll see it's the truth. What that means is that the output gives you a longer charge in a shorter amount of time and actually has more staying power left over. This is a powerful external battery source and worth the money until Socket creates something similar in a lighter weight...and I'll buy that too whenever it comes out. I'll take a picture of the battery pack as it really looks inside and add it to the pictures above.

I have two of these. I bought my first one from Dell back in 2005 as an extended battery pack for my Axim X50v PDA. Since then, my mobile life has expanded to a small but expensive collection of PDAs, superphones, ipods, and tablets. The Socket Mobile Power Pack drives them all! It was really difficult plugging the USB into this charger. I should have stopped, but was in a pinch and needed my iPad. When I tryed to remove the cord however, it wouldn't budge. I received it very quickly; that's about the only good thing about this product. It is not an authentic Apple charger. You can tell by the cheaper plastic and the pinch marks from when the product was pulled from the mold. It just has a lower level of quality than an Apple product would. They have clearly aimed to deceive the consumer with this product.

To top it all off--It doesn't work; Apple products actually work when they are plugged in.

When plugged in alone it is quiet, but when charging a product it "hisses". Now concerned about a fire hazard.

The HP iPAQ Pocket pc rz1710 is a good buy for the first time pocket pc user. The built in applications are very usefull for managing your day to day activities. The Eyemodule2 sounded like a fun toy BUT it's really just a toy. The shutter speed is a second or two. So it's real hard to hold the Handspring steady to avoid the inevitable blur.

But more annoying, when I went to intall the software on my PC, the install failed twice. First, it couldn't find "The Conduit". The website explained it was a known problem, and I should install 3 of the 4 modules from the CD-ROM and then do the Conduit from the Web.

So I unchecked the Conduit from the install list, and it started to install. But soon it warned that there was a missing DLL. Later it said the install was unsucessfull.

This whole situation shows there is no quality control there. This may be the last Handspring attachment I ever buy. I will try to use the Eyemodule occassionally (guess I'm stuck with it), but with low expectations.

I also had trouble installing the software. Finally downloaded it (...). Then, once we got it working, the module ate up the batteries in less than 1/2 a day. When we take the module out, the visor has plenty of juice. But, when the module is plugged in, I og messages that I didn't have enough battery to take a picture. The applications that come with this camera are really cool; however, the [bad]resolution of the pictures taken by the eyemodule 2 render these good applications virtually useless. The pictures have a grainy quality at best. Pictures taken in daylight are of somewhat better quality, but not much. If you want decent digital pictures, my recommendation is to buy a real digital camera, and not this [one].

The color is surprisingly true and the fact that you're holding your Visor like a 2 1/4 inch format camera gives you the same disarming interaction with your subject, ie, you can make eye contact since you don't have a box in front of your face.

Again, don't expect miracles, and remember that any camera is merely a tool, you've gotta bring some magic of your own to the table, but I must say that I haven't been this happy and excited about an electronic device since... well, ever. It's THAT good. PLUS its little manual is exceptionally well-designed, the little metal case that comes with it is brilliant, the software is robust and well thought out -If there's going to be an Eyemodule 3, I want to be first in line to buy it!

If you are not too exigent with your expectations about a very good quality camera, this is the tool you'd use without pay any battery or a card expansion. OK, the quality is not the best but it is quite clear if you learn to take your photos after trial and errors. When you got it you'll see it was worthy to buy one. If you don't want to carry everywhere your regular digital camera this is the easiest way to do it, just connected with your visor inside your pocket/case. Believe me, it's fun.

I have tried other small form factor PCs for use with my home theater, and returned every one of them because they could not stream high quality video at 1080p. This one can, and does it like a champ. The unit comes with a bluetooth keyboard, a bluetooth mouse, and an infrared remote control. The documentation is poor (still have no idea what 2 of the buttons on the remote do,) but the product is superb. Note that the optical drive is DVD, not Bluray, so if you need the latter this is not the gadget for you. This Revo comes with Windows 8, which I have found to be mildly annoying because of the changes to the layout from previous versions, but no big deal.

I have liked Acer products for years and chose one of the first small form factor PC's for my business. I don't use the RL80 as a media center but as a desktop PC and, as such, it's a fabulous machine. Speedy and great graphics but Windows 8, or rather Metro, sucks on a desktop. If you liked games like Internet Backgammon, say adios. Microsoft is force training it's users into cloud computing which I don't appreciate. Source Forge has open source software that will give you back your Start button and boot into the desktop. Metro doesn't have multiple windows displayed concurrently so the "windows" desktop has been reduced to the tablet or smart phone limitation. Finally, don't even think about installing ANY other operating system instead of Windows 8. There are no drivers available. Don't believe me? Google to see the many people who tried.

There is a bit of a learning curve but with perseverance and looking up things on the internet when you get stuck, you'll end up loving this little machine. I bought this for my living room to stream movies, play DVD's and surf the internet all of which it does easily.

I had concerns with streaming video to a nettop but this unit handles streaming seamlessly. The product itself is excellent, great build quality comes with a wireless keyboard and mouse. Plugged in a webcam and can now skype from the living room. Plays DVD's and with a region free player it can play my UK as well as US DVD's.

The only reason this unit did not get 5 stars is purely down to Windows 8 and Microsoft not ironing out all the bugs in a new operating system. I have no doubts that the early bugs will be patched quickly but some applications do not work at present unit they are updated. I had to use the accessibility mode in the operating system as the fonts are quite small when viewed on a 60" TV from 15' away.

5 Stars when Microsoft sort out Windows 8.

3 Stars As a low-end Windows machine for Home Theater purposes, but there are better machines out there.

2 Stars As an Acer product that one would want to upgrade/customize.

Normally, Acer has been really good at creating products that are upgradeable. This device fell far short of my expectations.

1) It only comes with 4 GB of RAM (with integrated graphics, you're actually getting less). It's supports up to 8 GB of RAM. When I tried opening the box to add more memory, one of the 4 screws holding the top on broke and now it can't be removed at all. Acer's support has gone so far down hill that they can't seem to help. They don't offer replacements or advice other than "take it to one of our repair centers that are 1000+ miles away from you"

2) I wanted to see how well Ubuntu or Fedora ran on it. It would not let me boot from the DVD drive. I had to create a USB boot drive and it would only boot from it half the time. When it finally did boot. It kept beeping and the screen flashed every color in the visible spectrum.

If you have a problem with this product, good luck getting help from Acer. I've never had problems with them before, but the support they offered me on the 3 occasions that I contacted them was pathetic.

Acer made a good name for themselves by providing reliable desktop computer components, and that reputation carried over when several years ago, the company advanced into providing laptops. Now after owning three of them, I have never been disappointed in the operation or reliability of any of them. This one is very small and solidly built and it has a brushed aluminum finish I really like in contrast to the nice shiny metallic finishes usually associated with Acer laptops.

So now we enter into a new era of Tablet computing and Windows 8, and it is a definite change from the previous computing we learned so well. Advancing cautiously with the help of Acer's desktop, Windows eventually revealed that it is still the same old Windows inside with a new graphical sugar coating and some new enhancements that make it very appealing for use with the new Touch Screen Tablets that are steadily gaining in popularity.

Windows 8 has your back if you still find better use for a computer than a Tablet, so this Acer has the familiar touchpad mouse built into its keyboard, but I still prefer using a BlueTooth mouse whenever possible. Additionally, many Android users may find Windows 8 is very similar to using the data provisions of their cell phones, complete with an endless number of available apps.

This little 11.6 inch wonder in electronic wizardry will always remain readily available whether I am at work or travelling. Sized the same as the newer Tablets, I consider this laptop to be better provisioned, and best of all, it sells for about half the price of a top-rated Tablet. It is provisioned with the least expensive version of a set of three new CORE Intel processor configurations that increase in cost at each level of complexity, but really don't provide enough in additional abilities to warrant a higher price over what I already have in this very basic laptop computer. This i3 runs very cool and is built into the smallest laptop frame Acer provides, and I even have a little accessory carrying case for it.

This laptop is too small to accommodate a mounted optical disk drive, but that is easily fixed since there are several external CD/DVD RW drives available at a nice price, all provisioned to plug into a laptop's USB ports for immediate use. Regardless, Acer Support provides a Recovery Flash Drive for this computer that can be plugged into one of its USB ports if a recovery to factory specs ever becomes necessary.

With a little more time researching some of the other similar laptops available from Acer before purchasing this one, chances are I would have also seriously considered the Acer Aspire One laptop. That would have saved another couple hundred $$ since it is a very close duplicate to this one. The only real difference is its slightly slower Intel processor, but it also has a smaller but more practical 320 Gig hard drive, which for all my needs is still HUGE. Either one of these laptops is perfect for students who must store and do their work on a fully provisioned computer, and there are also some AMD provisioned 11.6 Acer laptops as well at an even lower price.

The laptop is great when plugged into a wired network, but is honestly hopeless on wifi.The wireless card drops internet connection every 5 or so minutes, and sometimes it comes back on its own, sometimes you have to open and close the wireless adapter, sometimes you have to reboot the laptop to fix it. I have two other laptops in the same room, a dell and an asus, both work great on wifi without problems. The wi fi signal is great. I have looked online and read a few reports, wifi problems appear fairly common with Acer laptops with this qualcom wireless adapter.

Because I purchased and installed office on this machine, I am now stuck between a rock and a hard place. I can return the laptop for credit and lose the $120 I paid for office because I have to buy a new copy, or I can keep the laptop without working wireless. Some choice that is! 2 stars is generous. Dont buy this laptop if you need reliable wi fi connection.

This is a nice, solid, basic laptop. I've only had it for about a week, so can't speak of its longevity. Physically, it is very solid. I've noticed some laptops out there have a little bit of wiggle in the screen or keypad, but this one is solid, which is impressive for being so small and thin. They keyboard is easy to type on for me, but I have tiny hands... my larger-handed husband has some trouble, but its not his laptop. The mousepad is OK, I would prefer dedicated left and right click buttons rather than pushing the pad itself for this, but I'm getting used to it. There are a lot of USB ports for being such a small computer. I also appreciate that the screen is very clear and bright... so bright, I even had to turn it down. The screen is also wide-screen, so even though the laptop is 11 inches, it is almost just as wide as my 15 inch... I was concerned it would be difficult to read being so small, but this was not the case. The sound is weird, the speakers are on the bottom of the laptop, so if its on my lap, my lap mutes a lot of the sound... when its on a hard surface, its fine. But, I don't plan on using the speakers, I use headphones if I ever REALLY need to listen to anything anyway. Its no bother for me, so it wasn't a negative, but others might find that info useful. The computer was super easy to set up, its processor is VERY fast, websites pop up quickly. I personally don't like Windows 8, but there were plenty of websites out there (CNET mostly) that helped me download some free programs to bypass some of the annoying Windows 8 features (start screen, start menu, hot corners, etc.)... but this is to no fault of the laptop. Solid laptop and a great price. Highly recommended.

I am a college student, and the V5 is a perfect choice for me. the laptop is only about 2 lbs. I can hardly feel it in my backpack. The battery life is about 3 4 hours, I don't have to worry about bringing the power cord. For a 11.6 inch laptop it feels really good when I'm typing. The material that its made out of doesn't get dirty easily. The CORE I3 processor is amazingly quick. This laptop does more than what I need.

The reason why I'm giving it a 4 star is because I dislike Windows 8. it suites better for a Ipad, tablet or a smart phone, but it's a pain to work with on this laptop. The speakers are placed under the laptop, so to me the sound is a bit muffled. (I usually use ear buds, so it's not a problem) The battery is difficult to remove because you have to insert a small object (like a paper clip) into the release latch while your pulling it out.

Okay this is a pretty capable little notebook computer. The i3 CPU will make it considerably faster than the older generation Intel Atom chips. The quality seems decent for a $450 part.

Personally, I don't like this setup. I Like the Bios to be agnostic of the operating system. What happens if someone decides to downgrade to Windows? Fortunately, once you reach the BIOS screen from Windows 8, you can set the bios to work in legacy mode. After that, the F2 key will get you into the bios upon bootup.

2. Getting to the internals is incredibly easy. I think it is literally just one screw to remove the bottom chassis plate. Upon removing the plate, the RAM is a breeze to upgrade. There are two slots, and one of them is populated by a 4 GB chip. You can add another 4 GB chip for a total of 8 GB. Doesn't get easier than that.

3. Hard drive now this is much more tricky. If you are looking to replace the conventional hard drive with an SSD drive like I was, pay attention. Many of the SSD drives on the market will *not* work with this computer (Sandisk Extreme, Kingston, OCZ Vertex, Crucial M4, etc.) Why? Because they are all a tad too tall at around 9.5 mm. They must be of the 7 mm variety. The Samsung and Transcend drives seem to work because they are around 7 mm.

All in all, this is a pretty good computer for your money. I wish the battery life was more like 6 or 7 hours, but the battery is not sealed, so you should be able to buy aftermarket batteries down the road.

It's black, it's menacing, it's all-powerful. You can stun an attacker with it if you whirl it over your head and hit him (it includes a convenient hand strap for that purpose).

Jokes aside, it is well built (i used to have a Clie NR70V and it was very fragile), the hinges and swivels are tight, it won't open inside your backpack and get all scratched inside.

It is also a nice PDA, with all the useful stuff that any common handheld has. (Memo, Agenda, Address, To Do, Whatever). But it excels on the add-ons. That's the best part.

The digital camera is awesome (autofocus/manual focus, flash, 2.0 MP) and it can store hundreds of pictures. There are many options and settings to play with.

It also has audio recorder software. The sound is crisp, clear, and you can record many, many, many hours of speech, enviromental audio or anything.

As any other Clie, it has its own mp3 player. There's no need to buy the special SONY smartmedia card to use it: a Lexmark alternative will do the trick.

Of course, if you combine audio + pictures, you'll get a video camera. It works as one. Not great quality, it might be compared with having a webcam with you all the time.

What else ? Integrated keyboard, speaker, remote control, a couple of headphones, infrared port.

I can even speak about Bluetooth. I don't have any bluetooth gear in my house, but i'm leaving the wake-up option enabled and see if i find any BT devices in my office. Besides the blinking blue led looks cool :).

It has many improvementes since the last Clie versions. The memory stick has changed its place, so it doesn't flip out every time you put it in your pocket. The craddle is now foldable and you can take it everywhere to charge and/or connect your clie. You can even attach it to the PDA and carry it around.

Even when it is bulky, it is very well built and with a nice eequilibrium... you can hold it in your hand and it won't fall easily. That happened with the NR70V: the screen was heavier than the body, so it fell backwards always.

The keyboard is a lot better and easier to use by now. Also the back button has been moved a little and it's easier to use than before.

The camera doesn't rotate anymore... but i didn't miss the feature, since you can still use it in the open or closed form, to take pictures of yourself or others.

I would complain only about few things:

The pen is thin ! It looks thinner compared to the huge agenda. And it has a very weird way to attach to the PDA.

The picture browsing is waaaay slow. I'll better find a better program to handle the pictures.

I can't recall anything else, but i'm sure that there were some things that bothered me. Ah ! The memory !!! Yes. That's upsetting: you see, there are 16 Mb of RAM but you can access only 11 of them. Why ? I don't know. However the better use of the memory stick features compensates the lack of actual memory. I would have expected at least 64 Mb RAM for a beast like this. Well, let's say it's 4 and a half stars. Oh, the price !!! Wait a little until it drops. But even now it's worth every cent. For a journalist is the perfect tool. And for a physician (who i am) too.

And, it might seem crazy, but i find this size more comfortable for me than before. I don't think of it as a PDA, instead i think of it as a pocket sized notebook.

I finally made the plunge and bought the NZ90. After being a die-hard Palm user (starting from the Palm Professional,III,Vx,M505), I switched to the Sony Clie.

I truly enjoy playing with the NZ90. It has more functionality than the Palm M505. The camera and video features are amazing. The 2mb still camera produces decent quality pictures. One use I make with the camera is to take shots of documents from work. Now I can reveiw my work on my Clie without having to take home hard copies. The video function gives me the opportunity to film short clips on the fly of my baby boy. (I chose to defer purchase of a digital video camera and opted to use the video on the Clie.) The video quality is poor, but serves its purpose until my son begins to walk when I then plan on purchasing a digital camcorder. Also, I purchased the wireless card for the Clie. GREAT. I love this. You can check pop3 email and browse the internet without having to boot-up your laptop or computer. The easy power on/off of the pda makes it quick for me to check email as well as read the daily news.

2 negatives that needle me:

1) Batter life is poor, especially when using the still camera with flash. The flash drains the battery after 10 shots.

2) The size is a hurdle. Unlike the sleek m505 design, I have to carry the bulky NZ90.

I enjoy playing with my NZ90, emphasis on the "playing". As for practicality, I miss the m505 design as I daily use the address book, calendar, memo.

I just got this recently and I am very happy I made the decision to spend the cash. Yes the price tag is hefty but you get what you pay for. I read some reviews from handheld sites that said the weight and size were annoying. Now that it is in my hand, I can say that NEITHER are annoying. It weighs more than the typical palm and certainly is bigger, but as an engineer who is used to holding TI scientific calcs., it is nothing that disturbs me. It is roughly the same weight as my TI-86 and is about 25% shorter.

Pros:

The screen resolution is very crisp. As a matter of fact, the screen looks so good, you can decrease the brightness to 1/3 to improve battery life and it still looks fine. The sound that comes out of this little thing is quite clear as well. I love the fact that it can play music as well as play Flash and other movie files. You can also make voice recordings and they are pretty good. Also, the construction is superb...very solid and sturdy feel to it.

The camera is a huge benefit since I will never be anywhere without one. For a handheld camera, it serves its purpose and then some. No, it will never get better pictures than my Minolta Dimage 7i but then again, I would never carry the 7i around everywhere. The camera lens is protected by a flip cover. Very thoughtful so the lense doesn't get scratched.

The cradle design is extremely ingenious...no more bulky cradles. It is a foldup easel style cradle which is very transportable. Hot syncing is very easy between my PC and this unit.

I also love the fact there is a jog dial on the side that you can use to scroll between applications and select w/o having to use the stylus. This is useful for mass transportation users like myself.

Cons:

There are some design issues with this unit but nothing to go nuts about. The main thing is that there is a battery yo-yo effect when the flash is enabled in the camera. This is well documented in handheld website reviews and I assure you, this is a real issue as I am seeing it for myself. It seems that as soon as your flash is turned on, the battery remaining indicator takes a dip. Not a big deal when the battery is near full charge, but an issue when you get around say 50%. If the battery indicator dips too low, you cannot use the flash.

I can live with this b/c I am not planning on snapping countless shots on this unit BUT not everyone may be in that boat. I also fully expect SONY to address this issue (looks like it is a power management issue with the software) but if they don't, I will be very disappointed as it seems like it is a design flaw.

Another small con I have is the stylus location. I don't like the way it attaches to the side. I think that if I were clumsy, it would easily drop if I weren't careful when I tried to snap it back into the unit.

I want to amend my original review...I have stumbled upon one thing which is a little annoying but once again, something I can live with. You CANNOT play the recorded movie files to the TV. Yes, this is for real...I must say that SONY really didn't put much thought here as most digicams that can record movie clips allow you to show both still images and movie clips on TV.

All in all, I love this machine...very sleek and beautiful...very useful and at the same time fun as heck. I hope SONY addresses the battery yo-yo effect and maybe somehow upgrade a driver so I can show movie clips on the TV.

If you buy an MP3 player, a 2MP camera, a voice recorder, and a color PDA, you may very well spend [a lot of money]. Having it all in one is nice. As others point out, the onboard RAM seems a bit stingy, though PalmOS doesn't require as much as PPC. Anyway, I'm excited to see this happening and I hope a bunch of other companies copy Sony. Even when it is bulky, it is very well built and with a nice eequilibrium... you can hold it in your hand and it won't fall easily. That happened with the NR70V: the screen was heavier than the body, so it fell backwards always.

The keyboard is a lot better and easier to use by now. Also the back button has been moved a little and it's easier to use than before.

The camera doesn't rotate anymore... but i didn't miss the feature, since you can still use it in the open or closed form, to take pictures of yourself or others.

I would complain only about few things:

The pen is thin ! It looks thinner compared to the huge agenda. And it has a very weird to attach to the PDA.

The picture browsing is waaaay slow. I'll better find a better program to handle the pictures.

I can't recall anything else, but i'm sure that there were some things that bothered me. Well, let's say it's 4 and a half stars. Oh, the price !Wait a little until it drops. But even now it's worth every cent. For a journalist is the perfect tool. And for a physician (who i am) too.

And, it might seem crazy, but i find this size more comfortable for me than before. I don't think of it as a PDA, instead i think of it as a pocket sized notebook.

Pros:

Don't need to open the antenna to get reception...so it stays streamlined to the edge of your PC Card slot. That is the only positive of this card.

Cons:

the driver software is WAY outdated. Even the software on 3com's site doesn't help.

Go with a CLASS I type card. I purchased a Hawkings Tech Class 1 USB dongle. It is awesome. However I am now purchasing a Zoom Class I card which looks great and from what I heard might be the best.

I purchased this card so that I could pair it with a page-turning pedal (the PageFlip Cicada pedal). Although the pedal comes with a USB Bluetooth dongle, I wanted something that would fit completely flush inside the PC and not "stick out" the way the dongle sticks out.

This didn't work: The pedal acts like a Bluetooth keyboard, but the 3Com connection software that comes with this card said that it could not find any "services" for the pedal and did not connect to it. It seems that this card was only intended for bluetooth networking, not connecting to bluetooth keyboards. The only options I ever saw in the software were related to making network connections to other bluetooth-enabled computers.

Too bad, because, form-factor-wise, this card was exactly what I needed it to be. Wish that there was a more versatile software package to go with it.

Really cool little charging accessory. I don't use the speakers too much so the lack of sound quality doesn't really bother me. Seriously, whoever wrote the reviews I read when I purchased this piece of junk must have been getting paid by the company. It does not charge the phone. You can't see the screen once it is plugged in. The app that has to be downloaded to go along with it does not work. I still can't get the alarm to work after fiddling with the thing since Christmas.

I, like any consumer, was very skeptical when buying into a new product or idea. The Acase Black Diamond II is a buy I will never regret.

I've tried many different types of ambiance alarm clocks, with none suiting my needs. Most put on a great light show, but how well can you really enjoy it with your eyes closed. Many a times was I late for work, because the "alarm" never really worked correctly. The Acase Black Diamond has yet to let me down, and I've enjoyed this for months now.

Just as the description says, the soft lighting and gently music really do put you into a great mood to begin the day. I wake up to the sound of soft music playing, and my eyes open to enjoy the light show going on in the room while the sun has yet to rise. I continue to let it play while I get ready for work, as it's such a great, unique, experience that I never get tired of. When I come home from work, it is usually one of the first things I go to. I plug my IPhone in and let the music jam. With the sound boost provided, you have enough noise to arouse the neighbors if you so desire.

The dock itself provides many different lighting features, each has it's own unique display. If you want a rainbow effect, you get a rainbow effect; if you want flames, you get flames. Unlike it's competitors, you can tell the difference between the different light features when using Acase. I was thrilled to find that the flame effect has a very different lighting effect than that of the rainbow or plasma. On my previous ambiance clocks, I could never tell the difference. I am happy to say, this is not the case with the Acase Black Diamond.

What really sets it apart is it's ability to show lighting effect based on missed calls and/or your battery status. How nice is it to look over and see that you have a missed call. It's the little things in life that make me smile.

In conclusion, I could not be more happy with this product. I am already planning to buy some as gifts for the upcoming Christmas Season. This would be a great addition to any co-worker or family member. I honestly can not sum up all the things I love about this in writing. Do not be skeptical like I was. I had this product for 1 day before I returned it. The sound quality is terrible and tinny. It's passive sound amplification ,meaning sound plays through your iPhone speakers and is amplified by the acoustical properties inside the globe, isn't designed well. If you don't fully seat the phone in the dock you actually get a little better bass delivery but not much. No access to the phone screen while it's in the dock and the software is really clunky and basic. You get one playlist and it's in alphabetical order.

The light show is entertaining so if that's what you're looking for it's pretty cool. It's really a glowing plastic phone charger.
