I'm giving this charger 4 stars because it does not allow you to charge your phone and extra battery at the same time. Other than that, it's great.

Orbiter Electronic Listening Device

Orbiter Electronic Listening Device
  • Listento voices and sounds from 300 feet away
  • Digital Recording allows 120 second Playback
  • High Quality Headphones
  • See things up close with viewfinderand 10X prisim

I was impresed by the look and bought this item some time ago. You can only hear what you can hear through your bare ears with this. If you can hear through the walls without it, by placing both your palms on your ear, then you can hear it with this device too. There is simply no advantage in it. If you relly need to get long range listening devices, they are expensive and they're rarely available only on hi-end spy gadget places. Save your money.

Buy Orbiter Electronic Listening Device Now

This is a pretty cool device. You can hear really well with it turned all the way up. You can hear about 200 feet away really well, after that I guess you can hear okay but not as clear as 200 feet away. Birds sound so beautiful with this, but if a dog barks while using it, look out, that hurts your ears! It picks up even your neighbors talking outside. Very cool for kids pretending to be policemen, or just listening to animals in the wild. Fun and easy to use. Requires one 9 volt battery.

i do not use this for spying on people i use it for paranormal investigations..you can hear quite a bit with this item but you can also hear alot if other people are in the building..i would recommend using this in a quiet setting or in a small gruop if you are an investigator (of the paranormal)

I received the product damaged it didn't work. I went through the procedures for returning the product and sent it UPS. I asked for a replacement. Still haven't received one as of July 12th 2010.

As I open the box this thing looks great and I cant wait to try it out. After I add power I can here all kinds of stuff like my hand on the handle, my finger on the trigger, the birds somewhere, my heart beating through the grip,my breathing,a car behind me somewhere, the wind or someone talking oh yea that's what I wanted to here--no those are the wrong people they sound like a cat fight oh that is a cat fight, wait I think I hear someone walking up behind me---oops I fluffed, yea this thing smells, too.Not a Good Buy just a waste. Just a listen to your self device.NEXT!

rooCASE Executive Portfolio (Black) Leather Case Cover with Landscape / Portrait View for Motorola X

rooCASE Executive Portfolio Leather Case Cover with Landscape / Portrait View for Motorola XOOM Android TabletI pre-ordered this cover for my Xoom after looking at the other covers offered on Amazon and not finding one that seemed to work with the Xoom just perfectly. I had to wait 2 weeks for it to arrive and it was WELL WORTH THE WAIT!!!

The quality of the leather is exceptional. The Xoom fits inside the cover just right not too tight or too loose. There is an opening for everything you need on the tablet itself from charging, to power and volume, to camera. The stitching is very good quality.

The two things I was concerned about when ordering this was if the Velcro would be strong enough to keep the Xoom inside (especially when in portrait position) and the stand from the pictures it didn't look very sturdy or well designed. First, the Velcro is excellent. It has enough hold to keep the Xoom firmly in whatever position you want it to be. Once in place, your Xoom won't move unless you release the hold. The stand on the back of the cover is actually excellent. It is much sturdier than it looks in the pictures. I found it great that it has a strong magnet to keep it closed when not needed. There is a ribbon that keeps the stand from sliding open more than you want. I've been able to adjust the angle of the stand and have no problems with it staying in place. The stand itself is thick and strong.

The entire cover is sleek and professional looking. It was worth the wait and very much worth the money. I am very happy with it. It is now my favorite accessory I've bought for my Xoom, with the keyboard being my next favorite. I expect it will last a long time and be the protection I need since I carry the Xoom around with me everywhere. When I place my keyboard on top of the open cover, it's the perfect height for typing comfortably.

I believe that this is the best option out there so far to cover your Xoom! Too bad Motorola didn't think of all the little details when designing their cover. And thank heavens this company took the time to do just that!

The Roocase for Xoom works well as a portfolio type case for the Xoom. It's made well, and made for the Xoom diminsions. The con that I have with it is it's functionality. The inner case that is meant to fit over the Xoom itself slides down over the backward facing camera, and is extremely bulky. The most annoying part is that you must remove the inner case from the cover to turn on the Xoom because of the location of the power button. That means that you rip the inner cover off the velcro to turn on the Xoom then place it back into the cover. I don't use the inner case. I use the rubber mold that came with my Xoom and put it inside the Roocase cover.

looks like leather, feels like leather, smells like leather.....sooooo I guess it is leather...great case for my Xoom. Solid construction, good fit and ALL ports are open without removing case. Stand on back of case great to set on desk at 45 degree angle without removing case.....

I initially preordered this case before any reviews had come out so I was skeptical at first. After receiving this case however, I could not have expected anything more. My Xoom fits very nicely inside of the case as the interior detaches from the portfolio allowing for even more flexibility. All of the holes in the case are cut out at very generous junctions allowing for full functionality of the device while still being protected. The best part of this case has to be the kick-stand that allows you to set the device at different angles instead of constantly being required to hold it. This has allowed for many of the type-heavy apps to become more useful as I know longer have to hold it with the same hand that I am attempting to type something with.

All in all, I am very pleased with this case and would purchase from this company again in the future.

Want rooCASE Executive Portfolio (Black) Leather Case Cover with Landscape / Portrait View for Motorola X Discount?

Couldn't have asked for a better case. The xoom fits perfectly into the leather sleave, and the entire case is put together very well. The Velcro on the back of the sleave allows for viewing in landscape and portrait. Even when the xoom is enclosed in the zippered case it can be charged due to the duel zippers that allows for a gap to insert the charging plug. The only downside I can find is the fact that the speakers are blocked when the sleave is resting in the zippered case.Even then the sound quallity is affected very little.

elago EL-Stylus-IPS Mini Stylus Pen for iPhone 4/3GS/3G, iPad and iPod Touch, AT&T and Verizon iPhon

elago EL-Stylus-IPS Mini Stylus Pen for iPhone 4/3GS/3G, iPad and iPod Touch, AT&T and Verizon iPhone 4, Galaxy S and Galaxy TabGreat stylus. bought it for my wife, since she has long nails it was hard for her to use the touch screen. she loves the pen, and she can't loose it because it attaches to the headphone jack.Very good quality, front part is made of durable rubber, does not fall apart or change shape like foam. Verizon sales person told her she couldn't use any stylus with the iphone 4. she would have to get use to using it with long nails. He was wrong, and I decided to look it up online. I'm glad I found this on Amazon. My wife loves her iphone 4, and with this it makes it even better. I would recommend it to everyone who can't use their fingers or doesn't want to leave finger prints on their screen.

This is a great tool for the small on screen keypad the iphone has.

It fits into the ear phone jack at the top, so it's always handy.

Buy elago EL-Stylus-IPS Mini Stylus Pen for iPhone 4/3GS/3G, iPad and iPod Touch, AT&T and Verizon iPhon Now

Pro:

This stylus is generally well-suited for portability in that it is very small. Its size, surprisingly, leaves it quite usable for the things that it is good at. (More on that below.) In use, it feels quite velvety smooth. I had no trouble hitting any given part of my iPhone screen with at least a little more accuracy than I would with my finger.

Con:

First, the lanyard this appears to be designed to keep the stylus with the phone by plugging into the headphone jack. My wife, who found this stylus in her Christmas stocking, uses headphones so often that this is not an acceptable trade-off for her, and without another obvious place to keep the stylus, she has to leave it at home or risk losing it.

The big problem is this: what problem does this solve? Most apps are designed to work well with just fingertip control, and to me it isn't worth carrying this thing around for few apps that demand more precision. One app that I find it very helpful with, however, is Brushes, a painting program that always frustrates me when I try to use it with a naked finger. The extra control of the stylus is very welcome there; but again, I'd only be able to use it at home.

If you have a similar sketch program, or can think of another use, it's a quality product and worth buying. Otherwise...it's a nice tchotchke, fit for giving away at conferences if you can get your logo on it.

My wife was having real problems making her iPhone work with her fingers. I think the skin was too dry. This lets her do texting and playing games on her phone fun. I will be buying more for my friends that have trouble with just their fingers working their iPhones. The little string that keeps it with the phone is great!

Want elago EL-Stylus-IPS Mini Stylus Pen for iPhone 4/3GS/3G, iPad and iPod Touch, AT&T and Verizon iPhon Discount?

This is an excellent stylus for use on the iPhone. The only down side with this particular model is that it is a lttle too small for my needs. I prefer the feel of a stylus that more closely resembles the feel of a full size pen or paint brush, that I get from my "Elago Stylus Pen with Clip", that I purchased to use on all of my more comoplex projects that I may be working on. However, because of its size and convenience, I use this mini model on a daily basis for all of the quick miscellaneous tasks that come up during the day, because it stays conveniently attached to my iPhone with the built in landyard.

This case fits my iPad 2 perfectly. The product works exactly as it is described including the magnetic sleep mode. Shipping was very quick. Thanks for the great bargain!!!

Although this was a lovely shade of pink it was a completely non-functional case. The iPad sits on the back and is not secured and slid out in all but one position. The problem could easily be fixed if they put tabs or even elastic staps in the corners to secure the iPad. I promptly returned the case and found a much more functional case at Amazon for a better price. I would not recommend this case.

Read Best Reviews of rooCASE Ultra Slim (Pink) Leather Smart Case with Stand for Apple iPad 2 (Built-in Magnet Sleep and Here

I had a smart cover from Apple. I paid $40 for a polyurethane cover that only protected the front of my iPad. Now this case is made of beautiful leather and covers the front and back of the iPad for the same amount. No brainer this case is worth the $$. I haven't had any problems with the sleep/wake function that some others complained about with other Roocases. I have had other Roocases too and I think they wear in nicely too. You can't go wrong with Amazon and Roocase.

Want rooCASE Ultra Slim (Pink) Leather Smart Case with Stand for Apple iPad 2 (Built-in Magnet Sleep and Discount?

Perhaps I just received a defective one, but the smart cover was terrible. Any tiny vibration caused the iPad to repeatedly turn on and off if, for example, it was sitting on a table and someone walked into the room. Even while holding the iPad with the cover closed, I couldn't move more than required for breathing without the screen coming back on. The iPad was securely snapped into the back cover without any wiggle room, but it just did not work properly for me. It was disappointing, because the color and texture were very appealing, I'd give it 5 stars in the looks department, but I simply couldn't have the screen flashing on and off constantly while carrying the iPad around in my bag, so I returned it.

Read Best Reviews of BoxWave Canon EOS Digital Rebel XSi ClearTouch Anti-Glare Screen Protector (Single Pack) Here

Applying the screen protector is simple, but it is difficult to keep lint off of the adhesive side. I actually had to clean the protector, according to the manufacturers clean-up procedure, before I could apply it for the first time... and I thought that I was being careful. It is clean now and it attached just fine.

I don't know why the product has the wording anti-glare in the title, because I think glare might be worse with the protector on. The screen is definitely not as clear with the protector on, but maybe its better than looking through a scratched screen because you had no protection.

It covers all of the lcd screen, but not all of the black border around the screen. That is probably a good thing though because otherwise it would make it difficult to not have overhang if you were a little crooked with your application.

rooCASE Capacitive (Silver) Stylus for Apple iPad with Rentina Display, 4th Generation / iPad 2 / iP

It works well and is a great value.

I originally purchased another iPad stylus by Young Life (also found on Amazon). While the stylus served it purpose, the stylus would drag, making handwriting a little slow and difficult. A friend purchased the rooCase stylus and I asked to try it out...what a difference! It's so much smoother, handwriting notes is so fast; and because the stylus tip is reinforced, it doesn't get pushed down over time. Great quality and price.

The roocase capacitive stylus has the best look and feel of several I have tried. My only regret is that I didn't know that they also have a stylus that is also a ballpoint pen. Had I known, I would have ordered it instead..

Increases text and typing time by at least 50%. Headphone insert protects iphone/ipad from accidental water entrance due to rain, perspiration, or humidity (like in the bathroom), in addition to keeping the stylus handy. Protects screen from scrathes. Simply an ingenious product. The only reason not a 5 star is the connecting cord too short . . . no problem though, got some fishing line and made it longer allowing the headphone insert to remain in place while I use the stylus . . . superb product and at a right price . . .

I have an iPod touch 4th Gen. I'm also an artist, and sometimes I can't always bring a pad and pencil with me. I do have thick fingers, but the touch typing isn't that difficult for me. However, I have been looking for a decent stylus that I can doodle with. I bought one that wasn't too expensive, but it was flat and just a generic stylus. Meh. Then I spent 15 bucks on one specifically marketed as a 'sketch stylus' for ipod and ipad. It totally blew. I saw this stylus on the daily deals and gave it a shot. It is the BEST stylus I've ever tried. It has a plastic/rubber tip (instead of that weird foam type tip), and it's very sensitive. I can draw with not only minimal pressure, but can actually get surprisingly tight detail given the workspace. I haven't even tried it for typing yet, but I'd imagine it'd be excellent given it's accuracy and sensitivity. I think this stylus would be worth it at twice the price easily.

Acer Aspire V5-571P-6642 15.6-Inch Touch Screen Laptop
  • Intel Core i5 3317U 1.7 GHz (3 MB Cache)
  • 6 GB SDRAM
  • 500 GB 5400 rpm Hard Drive
  • 15.6-Inch Touchscreen, Intel HD Graphics 4000
  • Windows 8, 5-hour battery life

I've had mine for a few hours so these are just first impressions:

The build quality is very high this laptop feels solid despite being very light. The design is clean and simple, the screen is bright and the colors are vibrant. The sound is well above average for a laptop, but that's not saying too much.

This is my first exposure to Windows8 and from what I read in the press, I was expecting to hate it. On the contrary I think for home use it's going to work out perfectly. If you are comfortable with the iPhone style interface you'll have no problem with Windows8. During the initial setup boot it shows you the two main things you need to know in order to navigate. With that I was up and running. I wasn't too sure about the touch screen idea: love it for my phone, but how would the ergonomics feel with a laptop? Answer: awesome. With the Windows8 "tile" based interface, touch just works. I've barely used the touchpad since I got this thing. My other computers seem lame now. Again, this is based on a few hours of use, but the first impressions are very good. I think the Windows OS has made a big step forward out of the cluttered mess it was.

I work in the computing industry so I looked a little closer into some of the specs for those who like to know these things: the CPU, as noted is an Intel i5. That doesn't really tell you much, since that can refer to multiple generations of Intel chips. In this case it is the latest and greatest "IvyBridge" dual-core Intel CPU (22nm, Tri-gate transistors). This is a 17w(!) CPU. That is insanely low power for the performance you are getting. This CPU also includes some fairly robust integrated graphics on the die with 16 graphics execution units. This is 4 more than the previous high-end, and 10 more than the current "second tier". I've read up on the benchmarks and it out classes many discrete graphics solutions. This should actually enable you to do some fairly decent gaming on your laptop if you so choose. It will won't compete with a dedicated "gaming" laptop with high-end discrete graphics, but then again it won't cost you 2-3K. One thing to note is that the Intel graphics drivers generally fall short of AMD or Nvidia when it comes to some of the more high-end graphics settings. Most users don't even know how to get to those features, but if you are serious gamer this is something to consider. On the other hand when it comes to mainstream applications and video performance, Intel performs as well or better than the competition.

A few things to note: this laptop has a nice big 500GB hard drive, but it's a conventional drive and not a solid-state drive. All conventional drives are at risk of failure, and so you should pick up a cheap external back-up HDD just to be safe (or sign up for an online back-up service from somebody like Amazon). It's cheap insurance. Another thing worth mentioning is that while this is not an "Ultrabook" it's pretty close to being that thin. While cool looking, it does mean you have an adapter for network cables and VGA displays. Nobody should need a VGA display connector anymore (the laptop has a conventional HDMI port) but if you plan to plug into a network you have the adapter to think about. Fortunately the wireless on this laptop is first rate. I've got a pretty high-end business class HP laptop from work, and this Acer blows it away on connection speeds.

So my overall impression? This is a great laptop and based on what I've experienced I can comfortably recommend it to anyone. Any doubts I had about Windows8 have been erased. It's simple, intuitive and with a touch screen, computing is kind of fun again.

****

Just a note that after a week of using this laptop I still really like it. I'm finding Windows 8 is fairly intuitive to use and learn. That being said if you are really used to tweaking around in the old Windows there are some frustrating moments trying to figure it out in Windows 8. However overall they've made configuring things like privacy settings *much easier* so I think the average user will find themselves doing things in Windows 8 they would never do in Windows 7.

I still think that touch is why Windows 8 works and I'm not sure I could suggest buying a non-touch laptop with this OS. I've really gotten hooked on the "10 fingered" touch. It makes my "two fingered" touch on my phone seem antiquated. This makes me wish there were more convertible tablet/laptops out there. It seems like laptop makers are missing the market here.

Buy Acer Aspire V5-571P-6642 15.6-Inch Touch Screen Laptop (Silky Silver) Now

Acer isn't an unfamiliar brand around our house. In fact, my husband's first personally owned computer was an Acer (486SX-25, cira 1993), as were the first and second computers we bought together. Over the years, Acer's quality has ranged from excellent for the money, to dismal at best. Especially after buying up Gateway, the Acer seemed to struggle with quality. In more recent history, they're back on the upswing, but still not wonderful. So, it was with some hesitation that we got the Aspire V5, not quite knowing what to expect.

After a few weeks, I can say that we're pleasantly surprised. The V5 is quite thin and light compared to the other laptops we have around the house (Lenovo G770, Lenovo ThinkPad T420s, Compaq CQ56, HP DV4, and HP DV9000). The backlit keyboard is quite nice, both in appearance and feel. Typing away feels good, with just the right amount of tactile resistance. Of the models we have, only the ThinkPad outclasses the V5 in this area. The inclusion of a numeric keypad was an added bonus, as only our 17" models have these. For me, the addition doesn't make the keyboard feel cramped, but, my hands are on the smaller side, so this could vary. The touchpad itself is very sensitive, with a surface that lets your fingers glide right across it easily. I'm not a touchpad person myself, but I did check out the extensive adjustments and gesture control options that are built in, just before turning them off. (Yes, I know, how antiquated of me.)

The battery life is very good, with ours lasting just under 6 hours while doing some light gaming the whole time. This bested the older models we have, but came in about the same as the pair of Lenovos. Speaking of gaming, the Intel graphics chip inside isn't a slouch, but, it's not going to come close to what can be had with a dedicated gaming laptop or other laptop with decent graphics chip from NVIDIA or AMD. The CPU is certainly powerful enough, especially when backed by Intel's Ivy Bridge chipset, but expect to be turning down the graphics options if you're into heavy gaming (first person shooters, RPGs, etc). For your typical tasks, like web surfing, emailing, document creation, watching videos, playing games on Facebook or Pogo, and the like, you'll be more than happy with the performance. In terms of overall performance, I feel the V5 held put itself ahead of the rest of our pack, with most everything seeming to run a bit quicker and more smoothly than on any of our others.

Yes, V5 comes with Windows 8, but, I'm not going to try and review that, as it's a whole beast in and of itself. I would like to note that the V5 does come with a fair amount of bloatware, those programs that no one really wants but the manufacturer stick in there as a "value add" item. The V5 wasn't nearly as bad as the HPs and Compaq, which are notorious for the amount of garbage they come with. Bummer there wasn't a full copy of Office Home and Student instead of the trial version, but I can't actually complain about that since I knew that what it came with in the first place. Lastly, and the only thing I will say about Win8 is that it runs very smoothly compared to some prior new major releases (*cough* Vista *cough* WinME *cough* Win95). Not a single hitch to be had during this whole time, and we've been putting the V5 through it's paces.

Lastly, just a few bits on the V5's other features. Touchscreen! Yes, it works very well, but you'll likely love it or hate it, depending on if you like reaching up to the screen a lot and if you don't mind cleaning the screen a lot more often than on a conventional laptop. The HDMI output has come in very handy for things like gaming, watching Netflix, and web surfing on an HDTV. Our son loves it for the gaming, so he and his friends can all watch the action without having to crowd around the person at the keyboard. Sound quality is decent enough, though you're not going to get quality enough to satisfy an audiophile. The webcam is...well..meh. It works well enough, to be sure, but don't expect crystal clear and grain free image quality. It's simply not that great, at 1.3MP.

Overall, I think the V5 is an excellent machine in terms of price, performance, and features. I'm almost tempted to trade my G770 for it but...I really like the bigger screen. Our son is loving it, and as previously stated, hasn't run into a single hitch yet. Only time will tell if the quality inside is up to snuff though.

On paper, this laptop has a lot going for it a 3rd generation Ivy Bridge i5 dual core processor, 6 GB RAM, a 15.6" multi touch screen, a 5GHz wifi adapter (Atheros AR5BWB222), 3 USB ports (1 USB 3.0), 5 hour battery life (as per the product specs in reality this is about half that), and a modern design aesthetic.

Unfortunately, the more I used it, the more I ran into its limitations, and hence my 3 star (It's Okay) rating.

1. Performance.

Its Windows Experience Index numbers (on a scale of 1 to 9.9) are:

Processor (6.9), Memory (7.1), Graphics 4.5, Gaming (6.2), Hard disk (5.9)

The V5 is really hurt by its anemic Intel HD Graphics 4000 chip (only 128MB of dedicated video memory); as well as by its 5400 RPM hard drive.

2. Construction

This is a handsome laptop, but its cut corners soon become apparent with use it feels plastic-ky and less well finished than my other laptops.

3. Usability Touchpad

The touchpad is located too far to the left making left clicks a challenge, has a stiff click action, and tends to lose sensitivity when performing click-drag operations (when closing Modern/Metro apps, touch pad drags were often ignored.)

It supports Win8 actions such as invoking the Charm menu, but these were easy to trigger inadvertently yanking me out of my thoughts.

4. Usability Keyboard

The keyboard is firm, full sized, and backlit. However, some keys are simply too small, and the Caps/Num Lock keys provide no indication when active.

5. Usability Touch screen

The touch screen is the perfect complement to Windows 8's Modern/Metro interface, and is natural to use. However, right click and click drag actions were harder to pull off, and I kept resorting to the mouse.

Reaching across the keyboard can be an uncomfortable action depending on user position.

Touching the screen can also be sacrilegious for those sensitive to screen smudges :)

6. Screen

The display was sufficiently bright, with adequate color reproduction. Its 1366x768 resolution is measly for a 15.6" screen, but has the benefit of making text easier to read and icons easier to click since each pixel is larger.

7. No built-in Ethernet/VGA ports

In a tragic design decision, these ports are only available using a separate adapter cable. That means I not only have to pack this itty bitty connector each time, but I also have to worry that I will misplace it :(

8. Battery life even with light use, the battery ran down in 3 hours. This is too short for mobile use.

9. Integrated Optical Drive a nice touch, but as expected at this price point, Bluray is not supported.

10. Software

This unit was surprisingly clear of bloatware (except for NTI Media Maker). Even the trial Windows Office 2010 is a download link. Unfortunately, Acer was just as sparing with useful software.

Who is this for?

###########

This laptop seems to be aimed at users with light to moderate usage needs it should be adequate for Internet browsing/streaming, general home use, and for school homework. The larger pixels at this resolution and screen size should also be easier on older eyes.

However, gamers, road warriors, developers, and other power users will likely be better served elsewhere.

Conclusion

#######

While this may seem to be a lot of laptop for the money, I found that there were some material compromises.

How satisfied you will be with this laptop will depend on which of these compromises matter to you.

Happy Computing!

Want Acer Aspire V5-571P-6642 15.6-Inch Touch Screen Laptop (Silky Silver) Discount?

I have only been on this laptop for a few hours, but I wanted to share how great my experience has been! Yes, it's a new OS so it takes a little getting used to, but the touchscreen and the keyboard can be interchanged flawlessly and if you are familiar with previous windows versions you can get yourself going with a little brain power. Anyway, this review is for the laptop. All specs are accurate. This laptop is so thin for it's size! It is heavier than I wanted, but still light for it's dimensions. The screen is beautiful and very responsive to touch. I love the keyboard as well back lit, but only when being used. The track pad does NOT have buttons on it, instead you need to double tap the trackpad if you don't want to use the touch screen. A little different than what I am used to but I think I can get used to it. Love all the USB ports, including one that is 3.0, and the hdmi port. Another big thing for me, an SD slot. For photo editing, this is really helpful.

Amazon's price was the same as trusted tech sites, so I went with them since I am a prime member.

Overall, I realize it's still early, but I am very impressed with my initial impressions. For the technical specs you are really getting a good deal. Acer's reputation is really not as high as it should be they make great products.

I originally purchased an hp dv4 for my home use. In less than a month it was stuck on a black screen and not working. I returned the laptop and immediately purchased this Acer. It is light years above the hp and any other laptop I have ever owned. I have only used it one day but I am amazed at how easy it is to use Windows 8. Everything seems more streamlined and accessible. The touch screen is amazing. Far exceeds what I was expecting. Highly recommended.

Will update if I run into any problems.
