Acase Genuine Leather Flip Case for Kindle 3 (Keyboard) with Multiple Position Stand (Pink)
- Designed specifically for the new Amazon Kindle 3
- Holds Kindle securely in place for safe transportation
- Multiple Position stand to allow for comfortable reading at any angle
- Soft, suede lining protects device from scratches
- Check out other colors! (Red ASIN:B004AWCBVU White ASIN:B004AWASQK Brown ASIN:B004AW7DNQBlack: ASINB004ALXSTU)
For those of you that get this along with your brand new Kindle, save the plastic protective clear covers that come on the front and back of the Kindle. I put one of those on the smooth leather side of the Acase case that is supposed to lie on the table surface when you have it raised. The plastic thing is the perfect size, doesn't have any adhesive to hurt the leather (not sure how it stays on there) and is very easy to wipe off. So for everyone that complained that this cover will get dirty if you stand it up, that is a nice solution.
I also bought an M edge light and it fits great with this case. I stuck in the left side next to the buttons (which I don't need to press because the buttons on the other side of the Kindle do the same thing). Then I turn the light up and flatten it against the side and over the top when I am done. When I flip the cover closed it covers right over the light and gives it a little protection. It won't protect it like the M Edge case will, but it keeps it all neatly packaged when closed.
That little cover flap got in my way while reading so I just tuck it in behind the Kindle on top not only does this get it out of the way, but it secures the whole case while reading.
When stood up, this case is secure enough. Oh, I can knock it over and so can my cat, but as long as there aren't significant forces against it, it will stay put. And it is incredibly handy. Who ever thought you would use the Kindle for recipes and things where you would WANT to stand it up? Turns out to be quite useful. Those little slots in the front are for when you open it up and you use the brace to fit into those slots. Each slot gives you a different position for raising your Kindle.
I find the quality on this to be very nice. I love the look of it closed. The leather is lovely and rivals any case out there. Open, it fits like a glove (once you have removed that packing cushion...duh!). It is a tiny bit bulky, but all the covers are and that is the point...to provide a little bulk to protect the Kindle. It is no heavier than any other case I have seen.
I would have purchased the official Amazon case until I read review after review of people having their Kindle shorted out by the metal clips that holds it in. Then I went looking and found this one and thought I might want that stand up feature. I can't imagine living without it.
I highly suggest getting the M edge light to go with this. It is a wonderful little light that will stay where you put it and it covers the whole screen. Plus, when you stick it on the site it provides a little place to hold the Kindle while reading so you don't hit those side buttons accidentally. I also find the Kindle a tiny bit dark, so unless I am in very bright light, I like to use this light while reading all the time.
For the price you can't beat this. (Actually, I would have been happy if this had cost three times as much, but don't tell Amazon that. I think it is a really nice case.) And hey, you can always get an extra case.
Buy Acase Genuine Leather Flip Case for Kindle 3 (Keyboard) with Multiple Position Stand (Pink) Now
The cover arrived with a small tear in the strap that folds over for the magnetic closure. That strap is a hard flimsy material that is very thin and only about half an inch wide (does not feel like leather). The tear starts on the edge in the middle of the strap and will inevitably spread as you bend that strap to open and close the item. Every time you open and close it, the strap bends at the tear, which will eventually cause a full tear and render the cover useless. This is something that should have been caught before the product was ever sold. Even though the item ships from Amazon, it is sold by Digital Media Source (Amazon does not sell this item directly at all). As a result, you cannot do an even exchange; only return and rebuy at the current price. It is now $6 more expensive than when I bought it (almost a 60% increase in price), so if I want a non-defective one, I have to shell out an additional $6 even though it arrived defective. I do not recommend this item since you are not guaranteed a non-defective one at the price you are currently paying.Update (01/21/11):
The seller sent me an e-mail after I posted this negative review and offered to send me a replacement case at no charge IF I withdrew my negative feedback. The e-mail came from Digital Media Source, even though my order was fulfilled by Amazon. I started following the reviews for this case and noticed that the negative reviews usually disappear after a few days, now I know why. They sent me a replacement (not through Amazon) that had even more tears on the straps than the first one. I sent them (Digital Media Source) multiple e-mails since then and they have ignored me.
Another VERY important thing to note is that the person who posted the first video review (J. Johnson) gave it rave reviews. If you look at all of that users many reviews, every single one of them is for an Acase product (a few different people posting video reviews under that same user name). They rate every single Acase product 5 stars and talk about the products like they just bought it and think it's great. They clearly are affiliated with the Acase company.
With all of this information in mind, I would recommend that you do not trust the overall product rating or quality. So I finally got a Kindle 3, and I'm so glad I waited instead of buying with the 1st generation. I spent a lot of time researching cases once I had decided I was going to purchase the Kindle 3, and decided the characteristics I wanted/needed were:
Sturdy and protective for carrying around, primarily out of the house
Not too bulky
Able to put into a stand position for hands-free reading
Not hideous in overall appearance
There are several options out there including the case I originally had planned to go with, the M-Edge Platform Kindle Jacket. This cover looks slim, sharp in appearance, and is more than double the price of the Acase cover. There is also the Duragadget Kindle cover which is, as far as I could tell, exactly the same as the Acase cover on this page, but about $10 more expensive.
What I liked about the Acase cover from the description and reviews:
Appeared pretty sturdy, and had a secure way to hold the Kindle (not just corner-mounted elastic or leather bands)
Allowed multiple positions for the stand feature
Cheap!
I bought the red color which doesn't appear available on Amazon right now, for less than $20 (not black because I wanted it to be visible inside bags). Delivery was quick and it came before my Kindle did (granted, the Kindle was ordered right before Xmas when for a brief period of time it did not ship for 3-5 days). I was pleased with the appearance of the cover and eagerly awaited my Kindle. The Kindle itself I LOVE, but that would have to be the subject of a different review! It fits perfectly into the Acase cover. You do have to kind of shove it down in there to get it all the way down to where everything aligns best, and to remove it you also have to push up with your thumbs quite firmly (couldn't really pull from the top initially as the Kindle's too thin and slippery) this latter point was reassuring that the Kindle couldn't just fall out the top end easily.
The cover does add quite a bit of bulk to the Kindle though it's not heavy. For some people, including my mother-in-law, this was a good thing since some find the naked Kindle sort of insubstantial and difficult to hold. I personally prefer holding the Kindle without a case since one of the great things about it is the slim form factor and light weight. Also, when holding it in the case to read, you have to either hold just the part of the case enclosing the Kindle, meaning the flap hinging from the bottom just flaps down, or else fold the bottom flap up underneath and hold the entire thickness of the case in your hands. I personally don't really like this and when I'm at home I usually read without the case.
The exception is when I'm reading at the kitchen table....or any place where I can't lean one elbow somewhere (like the couch arm). I find holding the Kindle in one hand (while eating for example) is tiring. This is where the case is really great I slip the Kindle in and set up the stand, and then just reach out and push the "next" button as needed for the next page. I liked the idea of the multi-position stand, but so far I always use the highest (most vertical) setting, and am honestly not sure now when I would want it in a flatter position. Nice to have the option there, though, I guess. Another reviewer stated that the part of the flap that goes against the screen is, in stand position, down against the table, leading to the potential for dirt/crumbs/etc. to go on to the screen. I just take a look at that surface and brush it off if necessary.
One reviewer of this or the Duragadget (essentially same) cover stated she was able to stand up the Kindle in bed and read it by flipping the orientation. As I read every night and dislike holding anything too heavy (I have wrist/forearm issues and even holding my iPod Touch or Blackberry was sometimes tiring), I was hoping this would work out for me. It didn't, but I'm able to hold the naked Kindle (plus light I got the Mighty Bright Xtra Flex 2 purchased after MUCH research and definitely recommended) and ideally, prop it partly on another pillow, and it works overall great for me.
I haven't taken it out of the house yet, but I would definitely put it into the case, which has a magnetic flap to hold it closed. I would feel pretty secure about this case with the only potential issue being stuff (crumbs, whatever) getting inside and against the Kindle screen. However, this is a potential problem with nearly all the cases except those that zipper all the way around.
Overall, for build, price, and features, this was a definite WIN. I definitely recommend it.I like this case because not only is it leather which, in my opinion is stronger than most other materials used as covers. This case also holds the Kindle in securely on 3 sides so there is no chance of it getting dislodged from the cover while in my purse or luggage. Kindle just slides into the case from the opening at the top. I also like that this case is not bulky or heavy so I'm not giving up the fact that the kindle is small and light. It adds very little extra weight to the Kindle. The stand is so great. I find I am using the stand even more than I thought. Sometimes, rather than hold the kindle, I will simply put it on my lap and use the stand to hold it in position while I read hands free except to turn the "page". Other times, my cat is in my lap so I rest my kindle on the arm of my chair and use the stand to prop it up and read. That makes my cat very happy and I don't miss a beat in my book. The case stays closed by a small magnetic flap and the stand closes in on the case with a small magnet. The magnets are enough to keep the case closed or the stand piece attached rather than dangling out. The magnets are not strong enough to interfere in any way with the Kindle. All in all this is a perfect case for what I wanted and need.Just when I thought I couldn't love my Kindle more, this came along. Perfect cover. Nice looking. Holds the Kindle at different angles for the easiest reading and protects your Kindle at the same time.

Wilson Electronics 859902 Surge Protector
Proincludes ground lug and fuse is easy to change
ConIt has N-Type connectors, the repeater cables and equipment had F-Type. Adapters (had to be purchased separately). Looked on the Wilson web site for the adapters not found. Went to local electronics store. This protector was purchased as suggested by Wilson electronics. It is used in line from roof top antwnna to cellphone booster to protect against lightning atrikes. All the cable and fittings on the booster are standard cable tv connection size but the protector is "N"size. They should use a protector with the same size fittings so you don't need a bunch of signal weakening adapters in line to make it work. Otherwise I am sure it will function as it should if installed correctly and grounded. Shipping was on time and excellent.
Buy Wilson Electronics 859902 Surge Protector Now
I ordered the cell phone booster first. It came with everything needed except a surge protector that was highly recomended, so I ordered it. That came and would not work because the connection was the wrong size for the cable which was included in the cell booster kit. So why in hell wasn't this all in one and why doesn't the product description at least tell you what you need or what fits what and where. So now it's been a month out getting what I need to set this up , partly because I live in a remote area or I wouldn't need the booster in the first place. Has not been a pleasant experience.Read Best Reviews of Wilson Electronics 859902 Surge Protector Here
This is one of those items that you don't know if it works until the lightning strikes.....but...it is recommended and the electronics it's protecting are expensive. The quality is good as all Wilson products I've seen have been very well made. Let's hope you never need it. As a note.....if you buy a kit, you will likely need to purchase two smaller cable runs to replace a longer one so you can put this in the middle...if yo hadn't thought about that already.
Want Wilson Electronics 859902 Surge Protector Discount?
Was operating a internet over cell tower setup without one of these when EM from a heavy storm nuked some of my equipment; now with this item that doesn't happen anymore.Connectors are female N type connectors on both sides so get extra cables accordingly. Will also require some wire to attach to the grounding lug and to jab into the ground. For a cheap grounding spike you can go to a hardware store and buy a big foot-long galvanized nail for under a dollar and wrap the other end of the wire around it. Solder the wire ends in place to ensure proper conductivity.
For anyone needing replacement fuses, according to a bit of Google research the fuse part for this product is called a "Wilson replacement gas discharge element 859920"

This is an excellent product. I have seen so many people who have dropped their phones and had to pay to have their screens fixed. This has a grip type product that prevents you from losing your grip and dropping your phone. For the times when I was just not paying attention and I did drop it, it has always protected my phone from any damage. It fits great too!I recommend this case for anyone looking to protect their phone. My order came with a screen protector, a rubber in-case, and the hard shell. I cut out the rubber that attached to the bottom of the phone, however. Good business transaction. Finally a product to protect my 15 year old son's phone. He is very ruff on his phones and Ipods. I found a otter box for his Ipod too. Very pleased with these products.Saturday, March 15, 2014

As a stand-alone scanner, the wand scanner can produce images of 300, 600, and 900 dpi, in color or monochromatic images. Should higher-quality scans be desired, the scanner can be inserted into the accompanying auto-feed dock. The dock can scan up to 1200 dpi. Documents move smooth and straight through the auto-feeder, providing excellent quality scans.
While trialing the document feeder, I noted that the feeder may, if the document is slightly out of alignment, make short adjustments in the document's alignment before proceeding to scan it. Once it is aligned the document moves quickly and smoothly through the feeder.
The scanning width is 8.5 inches. The document feeder will accept documents and photos up to that width.
Scans are saved to a micro SD card, which is not included. Hint: buy a card at the same time you purchase this scanner. I forgot, and being a cheapskate I had to drive across town to get one at the lowest possible price. That took more time than it took the scanner to charge (it has rechargeable batteries), which was just slightly over an hour.
The package includes the wand scanner, the auto-feed dock, a small microfiber cleaning cloth, a small bag to hold the wand scanner, a USB cable, and a CD containing the ABBYY FineReader OCR software.
The quality of the scans is impressively good for such a small device. In just a few seconds one can scan a document, a page, a photograph, or even the wallpaper on the wall. The results can be saved as a .jpg or .pdf file.
There is a very brief learning curve for using the wand freehand you quickly learn how to roll the scanner at a steady rate (not too fast) and keep it straight for best results. The surface on which the document to be scanned is placed can affect the quality of the scan: I found out the hard way that the smoother the surface, the harder it is to move the scanner evenly and straight over the document without the document sliding on the surface. A glass desktop gave the worst results. An unfinished wood surface provided just enough grip to hold the document in place without slipping. Coated paper, such as magazine pages, will also be a little slicker and a little more prone to causing the scanner to slide slightly as compared to newsprint or standard printer paper.
For the light-to-moderate users this scanner is a top-notch pick. My only reservation has to do with uncertainty about what the lifespan of the document feeder dock will turn out to be. Even so, the sheer convenience of such a small and lightweight package (the wand: just over 6 ounces, the dock: not quite 1.5 lbs.) makes it an excellent choice when portability and a small desktop/luggage footprint are essential.

Used it first day opened box to scan over 140 photos at newly found cousin. I am not a gadget geek or techno geek, just a genealogy geek. The dock works great, it needs to be connected to a power source-computer or laptop or better yet the handy dandy USB adapter to electical outlet. So taking the dock and wand to a library or court house to do genealogy work will be easy, do not have to lug in a laptop. I plan on covering the box it came in with paper or fabric because it will keep it safe and has a handle for carrying! It is light weight. The wand is sturdy enough that scanning is easy and works over photos in mats, and works on rounded book pages (book pages that do not lay flat). (I used a pen type smaller wand years ago and found it terrible, scans all wiggly because of going too fast or too slow and difficult to have a steady scan due to size.) I was very happy to use this wand and have it scan beautifully the very first time. Quality great. When hooked up to computer just one push of the button and it opens MY PICTURES and ready to download, very quick. Can keep scanned photos on the microSDHC card or delete them. I scanned in color mode as I was scanning black and white and color photos. All were great: great color, black and white were great. Tried black and white in Mono mode did not see a difference. Scanned over 3 1/2 hours without running out of the charge. 43 MB used for all my photos. It says it scans fabric, I did scan a colorful mouse pad, it worked!I bought mine through Sears as it came with a 16 GB microSDHC card and adapter/reader so it was ready to use right out of the box. (needs charging first-made cookies while charging). The adapter allows you to read the micro card out of the wand if so desired. I am very very happy with this product and highly recommend it to genealogists, I scanned photo front and back of photo with the writing information, sure beats writing it all down, saves much time. It is also a quick way to scan home photos for preservation and sharing as well.

Although I now see it says the OCR software is only compatible with PC, i had looked at the System Requirements and saw it was Mac and ordered it thinking i could use the OCR software CD (which i had seen when scanning the rest of the info) to be able to edit docs scanned. However this is another example of Mac users being left out. The VuPoint rep i talked to said it was a corporate decision based on $ as there are more PC users than Mac. As a Mac user, It costs an additional $100 to get an Abbyy Mac version that would allow scanned document editing. If all you want is the scanner, then no problem. I will send it back, and am disappointed about that as I really love the look and size and dock option and imagine the scanning is good based on other reviews.
One more complaint I have is that there is no 'tilt' or 'slight rotate' option for when a document is not scanned EXACTLY straight. i have only scanned one doc so far (got this today) and i did it using the dock. it looked like it went in straight, but the scan is crooked. the only way to now fix it is to hassle with putting it into another software program (like iPhoto) and doing the straightening there.

Just what I needed. Could handle all my scanning sizes and weights. The paper guide is a plus. The wand is a plus. The docking station mode is a plus. Only negative was it took a bit of time for me to "get" the way it worked. Once done, my project of scanning photos from ancestors on down was a breeze. Images are saved on a Microsd chip which is "view-able" when in docking mode. There, you can edit and save elsewhere if need be. This is just the best device for gathering your lifetime of print photos and saving them for posterity.Working in a busy office setting where we need to copy IDs and small pieces of identification, this tool saves us a lot of time. Very easy to use, feeding or scanning, and the different settings are useful. Only complaint is that the machine shuts off on its own from time to time, but never loses the data.Monday, February 10, 2014

iGadgitz Black Genuine Leather Case Cover for Creative Ziio 7" 8GB Android Entertainment Tablet
- Hand stitched designer leather case with unique style
- Customised design to fit the Creative Ziio tablet with cut-outs for all ports, camera and buttons
- Inner Velcro strap to keep your tablet safe and in place
- Integrated Viewing stand for hands free viewing
- Magnetic cover closure for a more sleek slim line design
The tablet fits flush inside the case and all ports & buttons are easily accessible. There's a wide flap that tucks under the tablet that securely attaches itself to a velcro strip to hold the tablet in place. You just slide it under the tablet and it pretty much attaches itself. This flap covers the micro sd slot, but I haven't had a problem with that. I actually like that it covers it...it should help with keeping dust out of the slot when I remove my card.
The entire inside of the case is made of a soft velour-type of material that will (should) help protect the screen & body from scratches. The cover lays flat with tiny magnetic closures on each end.
The stand works great. There's a slight lift (lip) in the stand slot & the weight of the tablet is just enough to hold it. There is no dedicated slot for the stylus, but the Ziio stylus has a pin clip on it, so I just attach it to the flap that holds in the tablet & I'm good to go.
If you have a Ziio tablet, then you probably know that the "official" case is a bit pricey IMHO. I have to say "thank you" to iGadgitz for offering this top-notch case at a fair price. I am more than happy with it.
UPDATE 1/3/12
If you're using this with a Creative Ziio tablet, remove the tablet from the case when charging. Ziio has built in battery protection and the tablet won't charge if it detects that the battery is too warm.I selected the Igaditz cover after reading many reviews on the different tablet covers available for the Ziio. I was looking for something more economical then the Creative case but would still give great protection. While this cover had only one rating, it is all the first reviewer said that it was. Great fit, has access to all buttons, stays in place with the extra flap that holds it in place with Velcro. Tablet cannot slip out. It is very attractive and comfortable to read with. The built in holder works well for hands free horizontal viewing. The only thing that does not work are the magnets at the corners for holding the top flap in the closed position. This flap kind of curls away at the corners (must be cardboard inside) and the magnets are not strong. A small strip of self stick Velcro might keep the flap closed for sure. Overall, it is a very nice cover and fits the Ziio very well.

the flaw that i am having with this is that it doesn't always shut off when the cover is closed like it is supposed to. sometimes when i close the cover, i can hear the 'click' the ipad makes when it goes to sleep, then a couple seconds later i hear another click, so i peek at it and it's on. i had originally turned my auto sleep off on the Ipad, because the cover is supposed to put it to sleep when closed...well, one morning the ipad battery was drained. obviously, the cover had not worked as intended and the ipad had to have been on all night.
i turned the auto sleep back on to 15 minutes so that if the cover doesn't do it's job to turn it off, at least it will shut off on it's own and battery won't get drained. i would rate this 5 stars, but since this feature doesn't work, it gets 4 from me.

Overall the cover looks great, very eye-catching.Pro:
fits really well, love the leather hardback.
Con:
Smart cover doesn't really work, magnet do not align correctly, sometimes it will put the ipad to sleep other times it doesn't, very annoying when it turns on the ipad when I close the cover.
It doesn't stand up well, IPAD keep falling back. Theres a fix for it on Youtube by folding teh cover the other way, but not a good fix.
To me, ION would make a perfect product just by having the hardback case without the smart-cover, then combine that with Apple smart cover.

I bought it for the sole purpose of an interim case before I decide on what I really want and since there aren't many new cases out for New iPad at the moment. It will serve as just that, and will go back to an iPad 2 case after I get a proper fitting case.
One thing I didn't realize about this case is that the speaker grill really reduces the sound coming out of the iPad (as opposed to a cover that doesn't have a grill over the speakers). So beware of that.I knew the new iPad was 1mm thicker but I didn't think that would affect things THAT much. I bought my JustCase cover in advance also like Robert (another Reviewer who said his fit great), but when it arrived today I could NOT get the top left corner (near the headphone jack) to snap securely. It seemed to be literally just a hair too small, and regardless of what corner or side I slid in first, that top left corner would pop out once the iPad was in place. I got it to stay a couple times (seemingly) but you could see that the top left corner wasn't sitting securely, and it was sitting on the iPad like a loaded spring. They I tested it: I LIGHTLY tapped the case's corner at the trouble spot, and sure enough the case popped off at that corner. To be fair to Robert who stated his worked, there is a slight tolerance in almost all manufactured goods, especially those with soft material, so it very well could be that his was on the larger end of the tolerance measurement and that's why it fits. It almost gives me confidence to order a few of these and keep the one that works.
I SO wish this cover worked, it is VERY nice, I can't get over how great it feels (and they put in a screen protector in the package!). IF YOU ARE AN iPad 2 OWNER, GET THIS COVER. When it was in place, it worked very well with the Apple Black Leather Smart Cover.
For the record, I also ordered the i-UniK Slim Apple iPad 2 Case Barely There Smart Cover Compatible/Companion Skin Snap On Partner (Black), and it was cheapy plastic and did not fit AT ALL. I really really like the JustCase cover, I am hoping there will be a true iPad 3 (I know, it isn't called that) cover made by JustCase.
For iPad 2 owners, it is a 5 star case, I'm not deducting a star because it doesn't fit the iPad 3, that's not JustCase's fault. In fact, gripe time: with all of the accessories out there, there was NO WAY Apple could have kept the case size identical?? Oy...
UPDATE 3/17/2012, 12:30am MST: After posting this review, I wrote JustCase directly through their profile page here on Amazon and explained my experience with the iPad 3. They wrote back within three hours! And not just "thanks for letting us know", the CS rep actually wrote a long reply explaining the testing they've done. They've seen that 9 times out of 10 the case fits just like Robert (the previous reviewer) had stated. Therefore I'm going to order another one and see how it works. I'll be back with the outcome. I sure like this company, great product and great customer service.
UPDATE 3/22/2012: The second cover I ordered arrived yesterday, and lo and behold, it FITS. It's still snug and that top left corner isn't sitting completely flat and snug, but it's not popping off. In fact, I plucked it a couple times to try and get it to pop off like it was a loaded spring, and it stayed put. It even took a bit of effort to get it to come loose when I DID go to take it off. So the good news is that a few of you might get a "bad" one but the Customer Service from this company is so spot on that you'll have a quick replacement, and being the cover has such a nice feel, I say it's worth it. I found the best way to attach the cover is to slide the iPad3 in so the long vertical left side goes in first (iPad facing up at you). Then keep your thumb on that top left corner as you snap the right side in.
Enjoy! This is the best iPad 2 back cover I have used. It fits very well, has all ports open, and they even dig out little holes for the speaker, much better than other back cases I have used. Most importantly, it works perfectly with the iPad 2 Smart Cover for front protection. Beautiful matte finish, very smooth and feels good to hold. I purchased one in black for myself and am going to buy another one as a gift for my daughter, but haven't decided which color to get her yet, actually I like all of the colors.I love this product! Perfect companion to the Smart Cover. Fits the back of my iPad like a glove.
I originally received the wrong color case (black instead of clear). Before I had a chance to report it, Sabrina at JustCase contacted me to say that the company was already aware of the mistake, and she immediately sent me the correct case; without my even having to return the other case!
Great customer service ...great product! A MUST for your iPad2!Exactly what I was looking for, inexpensive compared to some and fits perfectly. Also what I like is it prevents my iPad from slipping when I hold it or set it on my legs. Great color choices too!!
