Well, as far as craftsmanship is concerned, it's a nice, well executed case. However, if you want to use it with a belt clipas I didthe case keeps turning all around and you can never be sure if the phone is upside down or not, furthermore, on the belt the case feels really bulky. Another thing is that you have to open the cover every time you want to use the phone, or just pull it out of the case, as I did, which eases the rubber sides to a degree where the phone is no longer tight in the case and may fall out, as it did for me for a number of times.

Also, it took few weeks for me to get the case as it was sent from Hong Kong.

In briefonce in Europe, I bought a very different case in a Nokia store, and the new one is simple, and it works.

I purchased this for use in conjunction with the Motorola Droid OEM Window Mount due to the fact that Motorola neglected to include a FM transmitter with it's mount. My first impresions were the packaging looked a bit shoddy, but don't judge a book by it's cover.

Driving, I frequently use internet radio or listen to podcasts while using the navigation GPS built in to my Droid. I was frustrated with barely hearing the built in speakers. The FM transmitter & charger works simultaneously as advertised, despite the other reviewer's comment. I am pleased with the functionality, and simplicity and the transmission sounds clear. The only weak link I can tell is possibly the cord leading to the phone. It seems a bit flimsy. I have not had any problems with it so far so it's probably just cosmetic.

Overall if you own a Droid and want to charge it while streaming Pandora to you're FM car stereo I would highly recommend this product.

I have been using this product for about a week, in conjunction with the OEM Window Mount, to listen to Pandora and use Google Navigation while driving. So far the product appears to work very well and as advertised it charges the phone, and the sound quality is good when you set it to a clear station with no interference (much better quality than I was expecting for a FM transmitter, anyways). I would highly recommend this product for anyone else who like me has a Droid, but does not have bluetooth or an aux port on their car stereo.

I own a Motorola Droid phone with Verizon Service.

I listen to talk radio and talk podcasts. I had been plugging in one ear bud while driving. It was OK but not great.

I live in Los Angeles and the FM band is pretty full. I found the cleanest area on the dial to tune the unit. I get a slight high-end hum, which is noticeable, but not a deal breaker. I found that I can minimize it by turning the volume up on the phone.

I was not crazy about the Droid charging pin sticking out about 3" with the adapter because of the way I mount my Droid on the windshield. Again not a deal breaker but it would have been nice if it didn't stick out so far.

Another use I found for the system is to plug in to the car's built in DVD player. Normally the kids in our carpools are rambunctious. With a Scooby Doo cartoon playing, I don't hear a peep out of them.

For me the unit was worth the price and I would purchase it again. My experience it that it works as advertised contrary to the #1 critical review. You can both listen to and charge your Droid phone.

This was a purchase made two weeks ago now that I can't decide if I regret or not. The keyboard does work and works well a good range (10 feet room is not big enough to try farther) from the computer. The media keys work very well, the install was simple and efficient, and the touch pad calculator is bar none awesome.

However, not all the keys work consistently, I have a Logitech S 510 wireless desktop that I have had for two years and it never drops keys as far as I can tell. I do write quite a lot, thousands of pages a year not joking, so I am picky about my key board. I would never hold this item up to the same standard however dropping approximately one key in ten is not acceptable for typing more than a search into Google. There are days that the keyboard works better than others as well, which I just can't figure out.

I have no idea how fast it eats batteries, it still seems to work with the ones it came with two weeks later. Finding "home" on the key board is also rather difficult, for touch type'ers out there, as the razed points on the keys are rather weak all the keys feel the same. However in defense of this key board it is nice and compact feels sturdy and pushes keys together to make the whole contraption more ergonomic.

It also goes to sleep, wakes up with Esc key, which takes getting used to but might be saving batteries which I like.

Final verdict touch pad great, media buttons awesome, calculator key pad absolutely ingenious, and keyboard for "typing" sucks!

I bought this keyboard to use with my HTPC. I was in need of a wireless USB keyboard and mouse that was affordable and reliable. Having been using notebooks almost exclusively for the last five years, I have really gained an appreciation for the touchpad. I was so glad to find a low priced wireless keyboard with a touchpad built in. What's even better is that it supports a number of different gestures. I really like using two fingers to scroll and being able to quickly increase the text size from the pad.

I have been using it for a while now and it has been, for the most part, reliable. I was noticing a lot of dropped keystrokes but I thought that I was too far away from the USB dongle or something was obstructing the path. It has gotten to be quite annoying, though. I have to type much slower in order to avoid having to go back and edit every couple of words.

A previous review mentioned that it was hard to find home on this board. I hadn't thought of it like that but I agree completely. It took quite a bit of use before I finally started being able to type comfortably with this keyboard. It's like riding a bicycle; once you finally get used to it, it isn't bad at all. It was upsetting, though. I've never had that much trouble adapting to a keyboard.

My latest issue with this keyboard has really caused a great deal of frustration. For some reason, I am now unable to drag and select the way I used to. I can still make selections but it'll stop as soon as I lift my finger off of the pad. This makes it nearly impossible to select large masses of text; I can only select whatever I can drag over in one sweep since I can't reposition my finger. This also makes it hard to move files from one folder to another. I can barely put up with it now. I've started using a USB mouse in place of the touch pad for those times that I have a lot of copying to do. The touchpad still works for regular tasks like browsing the web, folders, and using XBMC, though. I'm not sure if the issue is related to a setting or of the hardware is starting to go out. I've looked through the software control options, tried new batteries, and repositioned my USB dongle; nothing has helped fix the issue.

On a positive note, the keyboard and pad worked right after they're plugged in. To use the advanced Smart Pad settings, you'll need the drivers but that's fine. I had some trouble with the Windows 7 64 bit drivers. The drivers on the disc for Windows 7 did not work. After I installed them, the mouse stopped working completely. I tried the Vista x64 drivers and that crashed my system. Luckily, I found some real Windows 7 x64 drivers and that fixed the problem immediately.

If I had reviewed this product a week ago, I probably would have given it four or five stars. After struggling with the drag/select issue, I'd have a hard time giving it more than a 3/5.

I didn't really stress the positive aspects of this board so I'll offer a bit of a breakdown.

This really is a nice keyboard for those that need an affordable board for a home theater PC. If you do a lot of typing, you could probably do much better. I haven't tried all of the features that it has to offer but everything that I've tried has worked well enough. Only a few of the Smart Pad gestures are useful to me but they work as advertised. The media keys also work.

I hate giving this board a poor score because it has a lot to offer. However, given the trouble that I've had, I would only recommend it to people that can't afford to spend more. Even then, I'd encourage that person to save a bit of money and find something with proven reliability. If you do buy one, you'll probably like it. Even with the trouble that I've had, the keyboard is still usable. I am starting to look for something to replace it, though.

I bought this 2 months back and it's so cool that the wireless keyboard comes with a smart touchpad. It's very easy to install. I connected my notebook to my LCD TV and it just works great for me sitting from the couch. The only issue I faced was after installing Win 7, the smart touchpad wasn't working with the scroll and other finger features. Other than that, I just like this for the money I paid.

Amazon asked me to review this even though I doubt anyone will read it since the item is made for products that became extinct back in the Jurassic era slides and photo negatives. This was for my 12-year-old scanner. I am overall pleased with this purchase, as it gets the job done. However, I am saddened that the cover for the screen seems to be stretched, I guess you could say. It doesn't fully close on top of my ipad, so when I lay it down, it wakes up. The case fits well, just there is nothing holding the top on the screen, so it flaps around and appears loose. I was looking for something more secure I suppose.

I recently bought a Nokia N8 and I wanted a nice case for my new phone. I took a look at the reviews and I decided to buy it. Funny thing the item description says by Nokia but if you take a look at the right side says Sold by Govamart Worldwide Free Shipping.

Ok the item comes from china, you'll need to wait for a while so you have to be patience. I bought it on March 11th, the item was sent on 15th and I received in Costa Rica on April 1st again be patience my friend and btw there's no tracking number so you'll get it as a surprise.

You'll be asking, what's in the box? One screen cleaner and the case. I don't think I'll use the screen cleaner; I bought a screen protector plus this case a great combination.

This case is made of soft silicone but it feels really great when you touch it, and it really make look nice the N8.

All the important cutouts are: usb and power adapter connector, SIM card and SD card slot, HDMI output, camera and light camera and microphone, lock button. The buttons that are cover are power menu and Volume and the camera button but the buttons shapes are carved into the case. BTW the case color is black.

I recommend this case in case you want something worthy for your money.

It worked (past tense) good for a while (not perfect, but good enough to deserve an A-)

The buttons were great. The comfort was very good. The sound was good enough to get me through my workouts (I'm no sound pro).

At the 6 month mark, the device kept beeping as if I were holding down the volume up key. Yes, I turned it off & on, reset it etc. I turned it off and left it alone for a few hours. It stopped doing it for a little while (about 20 min) and then started again. Every time I used it there after, it would start beeping incessantly after a short unknown time interval.

When you read the reviews on this item, take note of how long the person has owned the device. I do p90x workouts, so I frequently sweat quite a bit. I wipe the device off when finished. Item has never been submerged, etc. This device, in my books, is only sweat proof for about 6 months.

Judging from the reviews of the s10-hd, it's an undesirable product. People who owned the S9 and went to the s10 said it was worse in almost all ways. Based on my experience with Motorola support on this device, I want nothing to do with them or their products.

Support has been pretty bad. I attempted to do it online and thought I was making headway.

The rep chat ended by telling me they'd be emailing me further directions to mail it in (after attaching the receipt to the chat).

An email did arrive requesting the receipt again. I replied and gave the receipt. No response from them.

Emailed another response with the receipt attached. No response.

Did another online chat and jumped through hoops of questioning again. At the end of it the rep told me to call Motorola, gave a phone and case number.

Called them. After being on hold for quite a long time, talked to an agent (who put me on hold a few times) and they said they'd be emailing me directions for sending it in. That's where it is.

It's taking me hours to resolve something that could have been resolved in 10-30 minutes.

Why can't they resolve this with one agent, one session? Why has it taken 3 agents and 2 emails (unanswered) for a simple RMA# and mail in? AND it's still unresolved?

Want Motorola 89307 MOTOROKR S9-HD Bluetooth Stereo Headset Discount?

So I have had my Motorokr S9-HD for almost three months now and love it. The only problem I have experienced with it is audio distortions when the head set is in certain positions for even the tiniest about of time. With it on it would play just fine til I moved my head. Originally this wasn't a major issue. But in my case it seemed to happen more and more. So called Motorola about it and was told they were going to upgrade me to the S10-HD which I am not happy about as my S9-HD was bought because of its physical differences from the S10-HD. I would still recommend this to anyone as the S9-HD does have a very impressive sound overall and is very comfortable when wearing it for several hours. That and the fact that with every technology you have issues with a small percentage of them having issues due to the manufacturing process.

For anyone who wants a simple explanation: This is a definite buy for anyone looking for a bluetooth headset.

For those who want a more detailed explanation:

A. Design

This exceeded my expectations considering the image used to display the item, but when it came in the mail the box was actually more fancy than i expected it to be, if anything no gift wrapping should be required as a gift. Just stick a ribbon on the top and it's good to go as a gift. The product itself is very well designed, it may seem a little too thin around the parts that bend but despite that it feels strong. The product came with an extra 2 sets of earbuds both different sizes from the ones on the headset. It uses a USB-b connection so most hard drive cables will work as a power source if you don't happen to have the supplied charger on you. The look of the headset when worn is also pretty stylish, i'd reccomend black it fits with almost anything you could wear.

B. Comfort

These headphones are extremely comfortable to wear! I've had them on for literally 4 hours now listening to music and it feels almost like it's a part of me at this point, it feels awkward trying to put it on the first couple of times but once you got it on there's generally no adjusting that needs to be done. Lots of space behind the head for movement.

Only down side with it however is i would not advise laying down with the back of your head against the pillow, as it will push the headset forward, but to those who lay down sidewards no problems at all

C. Sound quality

I've worked with tons of sound equipment in the past as it is part of my job, although these are not the worlds best quality headphones it definitely lives up to the HD that it advertises. The sound is very full especially when the WOW effects are turned on (comes turned on when first bought) you could hear the difference between the two. Based on what i notice, if you don't go to the maximum volume set by the headset's volume up and down buttons there is generally no difference between the quality of these and a pair of Ipod stock headphones.

D. Battery life

So far i haven't had any problems with battery life, after one full charge i've been using it charging it after long uses and i've yet to experience the battery running out on me too early. Unless you will be taking a flight around the world or going to be on a drive / train ride and don't have a portable way to charge these (such as plugging it in via usb into the computer) that may be the only time battery life may become an issue, but for average everyday use for music it's great.

E. Phone calls

I haven't really used this too much for phone calls except once for a long 40+min call, in which case i was laying down. I had no problems for that call no noticeable delay for either side of the call. And the other time i used it with quality in mind was the first time i attempted a call to a friend who was across the dinner table to test it out. There was a 1/4th more second delay between what he said and what i heard on the phone as opposed to just using the phone on it's own but that doesn't have much of an effect on a conversation.

F. Connectivity

I have a desktop PC and a bluetooth adapter i ordered for around 10 bucks from IO gear, they work perfectly together. As long as there are no concrete walls or thick structures between myself and the adapter i have no problems with connectivity up to about 30 feet. If i do get too far or block the line of sight the music starts to go on and off a few seconds after, but i believe this shouldn't be a problem as most people wouldn't be more than 30 feet and blocked off from their music source for too long such as a phone/ ipod/ computer. For the past 4 hours i've been about 5 feet away from the bluetooth adapter and have yet to experience any loss in quality or audio. Aside from signal strength there was the pairing of the headset to my phone and PC, both went by pretty easily, but if you're running windows 7 you're going to have to go to the control panel > hardware and sound> sound> and set the bluetooth headset as the default device in order for your music to play off of it. Just a minor inconvenience but very simple to do.

G. Price

Based on all i experienced with the product i would be willing to buy this product for double the price it was offered. I'm considering buying an extra pair for whenever the batter does run out too early on this (if it ever happens) or in case if i ever lose this pair. I'm not worried about it breaking too quickly it seems like a very sturdy piece of equipment and i don't intend on abusing it.

Overall:

Wonderful product definitely worth the money, as long as you don't dream of wearing a wireless headset while laying down with the back of your head against the pillow, or you don't have any bluetooth capable music players/ phones then i'm sure you will be satisfied with this product and find it very useful

I picked two sets of these up to upgrade my home PC to 32GB of RAM. At first they wouldn't run as my ASUS P8Z68 Deluxe/GEN3 needed a BIOS upgrade, but as soon as I upgraded to the latest version of the BIOS for my system (3304), everything on this RAM worked great so chalk that up to an archaic BIOS. Once that was done, I was hitting the 1600 speeds I should see normally. Performance has been great, hitting the top level on the Windows scores. Very happy with it, the chips aren't too huge (even though those fins on the heatsinks look like they are,) people with small cases might want to beware, they are rather tall.

I got two sticks for my Asus p9x79. At first install, perfect. All bench tests show 1600, etc. Then after two weeks, I notice that they are showing in BIOS as 1300 ??? My PCMARK went down accordingly. Then one day, after another almost 2 weeks, I saw Windows reporting 12 GB !!??? WTF ? BIOS also !!!

Flashed BIOS, reset cmos, etc still 12 GB. Started swapping mem boards and slots, found that one of the pair was showing as 4GB / 1300 no matter what slot ( the other stayed at 8GB / 1600 as it should, in all slots tested ) both by itself and as part of the pair !

Amazon is great as always, shipped the replacement out overnight, no charge. So I didn't have to go through Corsair's RMA wait times, and costs.

Make sure to burn these in WELL ( linpak, P-95, etc ) in your first month ! I give them 4 stars here on the assumption that this was a fluke, they have a good rep.

First let me state that the only other review as I write this believes that Amazon should be clairvoyant and know what type of computer he/she has! Do your homework!

These DIMMs are running great in my home built gaming machine. In an afterthought I would have bought 2200's instead of 1600. Right now I'm seeing a WindoZ experience of 7.8 with these DIMMs.

It's also especially nice having only two DIMMs for 16gig. It leaves room for large CPU heatsinks.

I installed four of these memory modules in my new computer. They are working just fine. I ran a (self-repeating) memory test for over 24 hours prior to loading the operating system.

Before you order memory modules, you should review the webpage and "User Guide" for your motherboard. I recently built a new computer using the ASUS Maximus V FORMULA LGA 1155 Intel Z77 Extended ATX DDR3 2800 PCIe 3.0 HDMI SupremeFX IV Audio Motherboard. The ASUS website (quite conveniently) provides a Qualified Vendor Lists (QVL) of compatible memory for this motherboard (although it may not be up-to-date for 8GB modules). Your motherboard's vendor may have a similar list.

If you purchased a ready-built computer, then look on the manufacturer's website to verify that you are purchasing the correct memory. For example, if you purchased your computer from the biggest computer maker, then log-on to your account, enter the Service Tag number for your computer, and then find the memory requirements. Or, you could just call and ask.

My computer's motherboard requires (1.5 volt) DDR3 dual in-line memory modules (DIMMs), installed in "matched sets" for "dual channel" function. My motherboard's "User Guide" recommends installing DIMMs from the same vendor, with the same CAS latency, and of the same version or date code (D/C). Because of this recommendations, and because these memory modules are ridiculously inexpensive, I went ahead and installed the maximum memory of four 8 GB DIMMs (32 GB). You can buy this memory with one pair of DIMMs or two pairs of DIMMs: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory (CMZ16GX3M2A1600C10) or Corsair Vengeance 32GB (4x8GB) DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory (CMZ32GX3M4X1600C10).

If you are interested in over-clocking memory, then you might want to research (1.5 volt) DDR3 DIMMs with higher clock ratings (i.e., 1866 MHz, 2000 MHz, 2133 MHz, and 2400 MHz). Naturally, I wanted the 2400 MHz memory; but I decided to try the much cheaper 1600 MHz memory first.

Please note: If you are only installing two DIMMS, you may need to install them in only two specific slots on the mother board (i.e., you can't just install them in any two slots). Check the "User Guide" for your motherboard to ensure that you are inserting the DIMMs in the correct slots. Of course, if you fill all slots with "matching" DIMMs, this will not be a concern.

No matter how much physical memory you install, your copy of the Windows operating system may limit how much memory your computer can use. Only Windows Professional 64 bit can access more than 16 GB of memory. The 32-bit editions of Window only support 4 GB of memory (3.5 GB usable). The 64 bit version of Windows Home Premium only supports 16 GB of memory; the 64 bit version of Windows Home Basic only supports 8 GB of memory.

Lastly, I recommend that you run a memory test on your newly-installed memory. I used Memtest86+ (it's free). Extract the image (iso) file from the ZIP file, and then create a bootable CD by burning disc from image (do NOT copy the iso file to CD, burn disc from image). I ran this memory test prior to loading the operating system.

I got this product and used it once so far. The battery was fully charged, but it turned off after about an hour (not the two hours it said it would last). I had to plug it into the wall to finish the presentation. A few days later, I tried to use it again; however, the battery apparently drained completely down while it was just sitting there. That made it useless for purposes of providing a presentation that day. I tried to let it charge again, but so far, I still haven't been able to power it back up. Maybe, it's just a bad battery, but, as of now, I am unimpressed.

I purchased one of these projectors from 3M because they had it available before Amazon. Buyer beware...the engineering behind this is terrible. The screen is designed in such a way that you must use a plastic stylus pen. The bluetooth does not work or support the Apple iphone4, you cannot enter in a 128 bit encryption code for the wifi because the field will not allow enough digits to be entered. The MP180 will not play movies in MPEG4 format greater then 15 MB off of the micro-sdcard especially if you store multiple movies on the device. The OS is so bad that the video plays ahead of the sound. The browser functionality is terrible...when you do have a wifi connection there is no way to control the pointer, and the keypad on the device is useless. 3m needs to recall these devices and rewrite the OS, Here is a hint 3M try testing your products before releasing them to the public or 3M you will continue to get posts like this one.

I love this projector. I also had realistic expectations for the product before I bought it. I did not expect 3500 lumens out of a pocket projector while paying 1/5th of the price of a full size projector. I am very surprised by how good the quality is on this projector.

The interface occasionally freezes up and requires a reboot. This is most common when trying to play an incompatible file time.

The documentation for converting videos to play on the machine is not good. I use MPEG Streamclip to save files in a compatible format but there is no included or simple process for saving video files. MPEG Streamclip is free and simple to use but there wasn't an out of the box way to do it.

It is not a good solution for bright locations.

I've been working with 3M Techincal Support to work around this limitation. The alternative is to turn the PowerPoint file into a video file but Windows changes the file into a video format that is not compatable with the projector software. I'm trying to find a video file converter that will convert the *.wmv format to a compatable one. Thus far I'm having no success. I've spent way too much time on this issue. This unit is very well built and designed, worth the money. It adjusts to fit 7 to 10 inch tabs, and the rubber mount pads hold the tablet stable. The only issue I have is that the ball and socket pivot joint allows the unit to shake just a bit and that tends to rattle a bit while driving. Most mounts I've used still have this problem. It's not major, and if you find a soft pad to put between the tab and the seat you can reduce if not eliminate the issue.

Altogether suits my needs and I would buy again.

I bought this from Tiger Direct through Amazon. It came quickly and worked fine right out of the box. Comes with cable to charge/program from your computer and small earphones without a headband.

It comes with Android 2.1, but an upgrade to Android 2.2 is available. I had a little trouble downloading the upgrade, seems like the Archos servers are very busy in the evening. I tried again in the morning, early, and it worked first try.

Very nice little MP3 player, very light, fits easily in my pocket. Music sounds good. Easy to load music from the PC, just copy it over like it was a flash drive. Earphones are pretty lame, a $5 pair of Panasonic phones with a headband work fine though.

As a portable computer it is really a little too small. Quarter VGA screen. Touchscreen works but not as well as other devices. Screen is too small so you need something smaller than your finger to type with. A ballpoint pen cap seems to work well in the on-screen keyboard.

App Store is not the Google store but an Archos store. Wants you to sign up with PayPal for paid apps, but when I tried to do that the link was busted. Free apps are fun. I saw postings that said how to install the Google app store but have not tried it.

WiFi range is a tad short. Works throughout the upstairs of my house (access point is upstairs on one end of the house) but does not work well downstairs in the family room. Probably too much metal heating duct, etc, in the way but that never bothered laptop computers.

Overall, a nice little toy for listening to music and playing with Android.

This product (Archos 28 internet tablet) would be great except for one little problem: It constantly (every 1 to 10 minutes)drops its wifi link. That takes all the fun out of streaming audio. It drops on my home network about 10 feet from the router. Not only that but, my laptop usually sees 5 to 6 wifi connections from my home. The Archos in the same location sees only one. I did get the Archos to connect at a couple of public hot spots but it soon locked up on one and dropped the link on the other.

It does make a nice pocket photo viewer or mp3 player (if you USB those in from your PC) and the screen is surprisingly responsive.

It will also run Android apps but that brings up another problem or series of problems with the 28 being how to load applications. It doesn't have access to the Google market (unless you use an unofficial hack). The Archos came with a 3rd party marketplace that is not bad but you may want to use other sources as well. You are not limited to using a market and many app programmers make their software available for download on their own sites. Many of those offer to install either by send to mobile or by scan the bar code method. Since the 28 does not have G3 you can't use the send to mobile. It also does not have a camera so, you can't scan the bar code.

Overall, this product has a lot of potential but just isn't quite there yet. I wanted it for something convenient to stream audio around my home and to do some light web surfing when I travel. The unreliable wifi will prevent me from using it for either.

I also think Archos is over promoting this product. From looking at their product info you would expect it to do everything a computer does. You would spend a long time sorting through and installing apps before you even got close and I just can't see any reasonable person trying to do serious work on a device this small.

If the price (around $100) isn't much to you and you want a sexy looking mp3 player, you might appreciate this product. If you want an ipad or notebook, buy one of those instead.

I despise Apple products and am a huge Android fan. My oldest daughter got one of these for Christmas. About a week into it, it just wouldn't turn on. Called Archos and told them it wouldn't turn on and he apologized, sent me a paid packing slip and an RMA and I sent it back in. Two weeks later a new one arrived and it is working just fine.

Kudos for their customer service.

It is a nice mp3 player with games and email and Facebook and she is very happy with it.

I've had this a week and like it a great deal as a media player, but you should be aware that it does not allow connection to the Android App Marketplace and many Android software apps will not work on it (I suppose due to it not having speakers, GPS, and other phone functions). Still, you can download many apps from the Archos marketplace most free and it works great as a media player. I like using it for Internet-based talk radio. I connect to listen to Jim Rome, ESPN, NPR, and other sources using one of the apps and it never drops my feed as I walk around the house and office. I'm a little disappointed that it won't allow access to the Android App Marketplace, so I can't give it 5 stars, but it is a solid 4-star item.

I use this to take notes in class and it has worked very well. It is actually quieter than most notebook keyboards and more like a standard keyboard in the way it feels. You can make it almost completely silent if you place a magazine under it. The space bar is split into two keys, which took me a little while to get used to because my thumb is used to hitting the space bar right where the split is. Of course, the FN keys are also missing, but I haven't needed to use those for years anyways.

It folds and unfolds easily and quickly. Its very sturdily build and of high quality. The little wire and plastic flipout that props up the journada seems flimsy at first, but I've had no problem what so ever with it. One minor drawback is that you do need a flat surface to make it work. You can't use it on your lap. Other than that, this is just like using a full-sized keyboard except that you can fold it up and put it in your pocket!

Great product. Very durable and works really well. Its about the same size as your Jornado (a little wider) and fits in your pocket easily. the main keyboard folds out quickly and the dock connector slides out and up to posistion the Jornado perfectly. Very James Bond. as for power consumption, I have not noticed any major drain. The Stowaway also comes with some additional features. Hotkeys that you can program to open 8 different functions. A windows style start key. A power plug in so you you can charge the jornado while typeing. All in all a very cool, very well thought out product. I recomend it highly.

I have purchased my Targus Stowaway keyboard a couple of days ago off eBay, ...

I have been using it for about three days to chat, type in notes, and respond to e-mails. It has definitely turned my PDA into a notebook. You would be able to perform anything with your PDA and a keyboard, as your productivity will certainly increase. You will normally be able to input 10 to 20 words per minute using the built in character recognizer, however you might now be able to type in at least three to four times faster than that!!!

The keyboard when unfolded, resembles an IBM Thinkpad notebook keyboard: black keys with white characters. The cursor keys are located at the right side, and their layout is the same as that on regular keyboards. In order to Page Up, Down, Home and End, you must press the blue 'Fn' key located to the left of the spacebar.

Folding and unfolding the keyboard is just wonderful. Measuring 13.8" WIDE when fully deployed, it just folds back to a mere 6". Neatly packed, it would be roughly the same size as your PDA, but a little thicker.

The keyboard folds in a shape that resembles the letter "W". You pull away the two black and red handles to the edges of the keyboard's case, tuck in the middle so as to have it raised. Crunch the end locks and there you go. Your keyboard is now neatly packed.

In order to connect your PDA to it, the keyboard has got a built in docking port that tilts forwards and backwards, so that you can adjust it to have a nice viewing angle for you PDA while typing. Slide a metal and plastic retractable foot, as to have the back of your PDA rest there in a slanted position. This pedestal is made of metal, and it looks quite solid, with the exception of the plastic pedestal.

You also get four dedicated application access keys, from which you can launch Inbox, Contacts, Calendar and Tasks. Press 'Fn' plus these keys, and you will be able to access Notes, Pocket Word, Pocket Excel, and Microsoft Money. The functionality for these keys is hardcoded into the software driver, so you will not be able to change what applications they launch.

The keyboard keys are normal size, and the feel is a little mushy, characteristic of a laptop keyboard. Key travel is identical to that of a laptop keyboard. Touch typists (like me) would sometimes need to punch in the keys a little harder, I think it is just a matter of time.

The right side of the keyboard is somewhat cramped, it is easy at first to confuse the right shift for the right cursor keys, which lie next to each other.

Keyboard driver is very easy to use, and allows you to 'Hot Dock' and play with the keyboard as to just start typing. No need to turn off/turn on your unit to have the keyboard recognized.

The software driver also allows you to configure up to 10 different application/document launch shortcuts, by pressing the 'Fn' and a number (from 1 through 0).

Overall, I am very satisfied with how this keyboard has improved productivity for me, and I think this is still the best engineered PDA keyboard on the market, no wonder why they have won several design awards.

I must say, the Stowaway keyboard is an absolute dream. It folds into a size barely bigger than the Jornada itself, yet it features luxurious full size keys that will make any H/PC user green with envy. It includes a small passthrough port on the back to connect the Jornada's AC adaptor, as well. And since the compact flash slot isn't used or blocked by the keyboard, a modem can be used simultaneously for the ultimate portable internet experience. The only downfall of the keyboard is that it's difficult at best to use on an uneven surface, such as a lap. On a flat surface, it's as good as if not better than any laptop keyboard. In fact, I rarely carry my laptop with me now. And for those who are curious, yes the keyboard works very well in games that support low level key scan codes, including Doom, several NES emulators, and others.

I owned my Jornada 548 for about a month before I broke down and bought a keyboard. After laying out about $500 for the Jornada, another $100 for a peripheral seemed pretty steep ... until I started trying to use the handwriting tools (not bad if you have consistent handwriting habits) and the on-screen keyboard. Neither seemed to work really well for me, so I broke down and bought a Targus keyboard. It really has worked well for me, but it's not as good as it could be.

The concept is great the keyboard folds up to the size of the 548 when it's not in use, but unfolds to the size of a laptop keyboard when you're ready to use it. The keyboard has a connector that sits at about a 45-degree angle and plugs into the Jornada, plus a little metal bar and plastic piece that supports the Jornada when it's plugged in. There is also a place to plug in a power supply so that you can keep your Jornada plugged in, and two small wells in the corners of the keyboard to hold a stylus.

The keyboard itself works well, with function keys for some common commands across applications (OK, Esc, power off) and other keys that can be programmed to start up specific applications. In addition, certain characters like the forward and backward slashes (/ and \) cannot be written in the single-character recognizer because the stylus strokes are used for other purposes, so the keyboard helps take care of that. Because the keyboard is laid out like a laptop keyboard, you don't need to relearn most of your typing, as long as you remember that you can't use function keys like you do on your laptop.

One thing it won't do, however, is select menu items with shortcuts, as you can do in Windows proper, but this is a Windows CE issue, not a keyboard issue. Another slight drawback is that the Jornada interprets your use of the keyboard as using the on-screen keyboard, so it displays the on-screen keyboard for you, which then takes up the lower third of your screen.

I've also had a couple of issues with the keyboard one is that the support for the Jornada is not great, so you have to use two hands to turn it on with the power button, and the other is that the keyboard occasionally freezes up. I've been able to correct it either by activating the special keyboard application, disabling the keyboard, and re-enabling it, or by using the on-screen keyboard to type a letter. Neither is a real show-stopper, but they certainly are annoyances.

Overall, the keyboard is a great time-saver, and it will certainly draw attention, especially when you fold it up and store it. The size of the keyboard and PC combined may be a drawback for some, and the way in which it works could be a little better. I'd still recommend it if you intend to do a lot of typing on your Jornada.

I slammed the earlier version of this device (the m505) for its horrible color screen, but adding active TFT and 16 MB standard makes this a near-perfect PDA. It's nice to know that Palm can learn from their mistakes.

This is functionally identical to the m130, which is cheaper, but you get what you pay for. The m515 has a significantly larger screen and far less bulk than the m130, easily justifying the higher price. With the built-in difficulty of pointing and clicking on a Palm device, size matters.

The life of the lithium-polymer rechargeable battery takes a hit with the new vibrant color screen, but you can still use your m515 fairly heavily for days before you need a recharge.

The only other compromise is the screen is low-res at 160 x 160 pixels. If you want photo-realism, you can buy a Sony Clie with 320 x 320, but those models have worse battery life and cost much more, so it's your choice.

The 515, quite simply, is the slimmest and lightest full-featured color PDA.

Visor Edge/Clie slimline -ultraslim mono models sell at a premium, but have durability questions.

Palm m130 -Fills consumer color niche. Compare to color Clie models, Visor Prism.

Small, bright screen, rechargeable battery, expandable.

Palm m515 -top of the line. Screen is now brighter, 16 mb included, now we want

higher resolution. Still, a great improvement over the horrible washed-out color on the

Palm m505. Compare with top Sony models/iPaq.

I'm a huge fan of the m500 series. Despite the reprehensible screen of the m505 after a few weeks of use, it really isn't that bad. Many people don't realize that the m505 stayed true to the PALM philosophy of mobility and battery life. Being a former Vx user I was spoiled with low battery consumption. Crossing over to color with the Clie N760 the first thing I noticed (after the absolutely amazing screen) was that I had to re-charge a little more often then I was use to. Although it wasn't a daily activity, recharging happened more frequently then before. Similarly that was also the case for the Clie T615. It's really no big deal for me, and to many people but I can see how it can be disconcerting. Expectedly the m515 inherits the long battery life of the m505. Fortunately for PALM they finally found a winner in the m515, unfortunately, the m515 was what the m505 should have been.

The only real reason why anyone would pick the m505 over the m515 is the price. The M515 has a better, brighter screen, and twice as much memory. If you were particular about bundled software the m515 naturally has a better selection.

With all things considered the real rival of the m515 is the CLIE T615C. Many real fans of PDA's will tell you that there is no clear winner when comparing the m515 and the T615C. It's a virtual deadlock. To the untrained eye the T615 may be the winner with its dazzling screen but one really has to consider many things, not just the screen when it comes to PDA's. Other then the screen when you consider price, battery life, form factor, and even accessories it's really a VIRTUALLY deadlock. It really comes down to preference. Many times reviews are written with preferences in mind not an objective overview. Generalizations like, "The m515 is the BEST, or the T615 is BEST!" is simply not true. It really comes down to personal preference. Although I value battery life tremendously, I still prefer a better screen and at the end of the day at the very last possible second of the last hour, I would pick the T615 over the m515. I still think the m515 is a great product and would highly recommend it.

I guess the best way to determine what is best for you is really to read a lot of reviews. Read reviews of many different units to get a general overview of what is available. Amazon has a great selection of PALM OS units, read about all of them!! Also go to down to your electronics store and compare the units side by side to get a first hand look.

Bottom line is, there is a GREAT selection of PDA's which appeal to practically everyone. Gone are the days when PDA's were merely toys for computer super geeks (like myself). Everyone gets a PDA and that's the best part of it all.

The m515 is the first Palm I've owned and it's a nice unit. But it's not the only way to go. After I purchased the m515, I purchased the Palm m130 (also a color unit) for my wife. Though the m515 is the supeior unit, it's not worth the...price difference. Yes, the screen is slightly larger but really not that much a consideration. The casing of the m515 is much stronger and it's much thinner than the m130, but other than that, not a whole lot of difference though. Yes, the 8 megs of extra RAM is nice, but I ended up buying SD Mem cards for both units anyway. To summarize: If you are the techno dude who needs the best Palm has to offer-go with the m515. But if you need to save the money-go with the m130. Use the money you save to buy all those other Palm goodies you'll need and want. I like my m515, but looking back, I wish that's the way I'd gone...

The largest problem facing the Palm OS world is satisfying the users who demand color AND room for apps AND long battery life AND simplicity. The 515 does a pretty good job of balancing these issues and produces a serviceable handheld, but it still falls short for power users.

The 515's color display is a big jump compared to the 505, but only having 160 x 160 pixels really limits the device. I'm getting older and Palm's shrinking displays are getting tougher to deal with. The larger display on the Pocket PCs are much easier to deal with. However, this (and the battery life) is the only real gripe I have with the 515.

With 16mb of RAM on board, it has plently of room for apps and data, so much so that I have never really needed to use the SD expansion. It runs fast, and does everything one would want a Palm to do. The Palm OS is still far superior to Pocket PC for contact management, todo lists and appointments but users who are heavily reliant upon Outlook may want to look at the cheaper Pocket PC models (Toshiba especially) as they are still a better fit for Outlook users at almost the same price.

Finally, it seems to me that the battery just doesn't last as long in the 515 as it did in the 505, the price one pays for being able to read the screen. This is only a minor issue but it can be annoying at times.

The Palm m515 is everything the m505 should have been... And should have been a year ago. Now, however, in light of other, more advanced PDA's by competing companies (I think you can name at least two), the m515 just seems outdated and too little, too late.

Let's start with the screen. It certainly is not high res and certainly holds nothing on Sony's models. The vertical black grids are very annoying after continuous usage, something that you wouldnt have on a Sony 615 or NR70, or even Palm's lower end color model, the m130. The screen isnt bad at displaying colors, in fact, it has very good color definition. But that is cancelled out by the blocky pixels and gridlines that you should not have on an [expensive]PDA. Im still wondering why Palm chose only three viewing abilities for it's backlight (none, low, and high) versus a regular bar that lets you control viewability. Low seems a little too low, and high, although its very bright, wears down the batteries fast. The 'none' setting is all but worthless unless you are outside using it, which I never am.

Also, another question mark is the lack of a simple jog dial. I have a low-end Sony S320 (since discontinued) that has a jog dial and it is wonderful. All Sony's have this but for some reason, the top of the line Palm does not. It is simply a mystery, especially when other companies such as Handspring include jog dials on some of their new models.

On the plus side, this PDA looks real nice and professional. If it only had a jog dial the form would be the best. Its not a very good PDA, especially for the price, and it should have been what the m505 wasnt. But since its Palm, it will sell, even though it is inferior compared with all Sony models and a couple Handspring (Treo series).

Not bad, but save your money until the fall when OS5 handhelds are out, or get a Clie now because it has most of the features OS5 will have only without the ARM processor.
