Targus 2 in 1 Stylus + Pen for Apple iPad, iPad 2, iPad 3 and iPad 4th Generation, iPad mini, 16GB,
- Allows users to type accurately and comfortably;use to take notes, draw or turn a page soft.
- Stylus works on all capacitive touch surfaces.
- It is 4 3/4 inch long and RoHS compliant.
I bought the 'Targus 2 in 1' stylus primarily for two iPad apps: 'Write Pad' the leading handwriting recognition app for the iPad and, 'Penultimate' a really cool app to hand write notes on my iPad. This '2 in 1' stylus is also a handy high quality ball point pen. So, I carry around this neat stylus in my pocket for conventional note taking.
SEE MY PHOTOS IN CUSTOMER IMAGES
PROS:
The stylus has a soft, durable rubber tip that won't scratch the screen (I prefer to use my iPad without any screen protector). Durability is not an issue ... this stylus is well made!
The yielding rubber tip is comfortable to use with the iPad's capacitive touch surface. I quickly adjusted to writing and doing simple drawings with this stylus.
Although the iPad is a touch screen device, using the stylus in other apps certainly helps in keeping the screen smudge-free!
I use my stylus to play the iPad version of the word game 'Boggle'. I can link the 'Boggle' words much faster with the stylus instead of swiping the screen by hand! :))
In cold weather, using my iPad or iPod Touch screen becomes a problem. Unless I am wearing capacitive touch screen gloves, then I must first remove my regular gloves to use the Touch Screen. The solution? Keep my regular gloves on and use my stylus :))
The stylus ball point pen (on the opposite end) uses easy to find and affordable standard Parker ball point refills.
The Black Targus '2 in 1' Stylus has a nice classic appearance. It also has a comfortable 'weighty feel' for writing whether its using the ball point pen on conventional paper or the stylus on a capacitive screen.
CONS:
Measuring just about 5 inches, I find the stylus a bit too short. Add another half to one inch and this would be the perfect capacitive stylus! Despite this shortcoming (pun intended LOL), this Targus '2 in 1' Stylus and pen is a most useful product design!
A cover/cap would definitely protect the stylus rubber tip, especially if you store your stylus in your bag! I use the handy pocket clip so, for me, the absence of a stylus tip cover is not an issue.
NOTE: If all you need is a stylus (without the ball point pen) then I recommend the Targus Stylus. The stylus is beautifully designed and very well made, and feels great in your hand -until you start using it. It's too short for most people, but that's actually the least of its problems. The stylus doubles as a standard pen, with a removable cap. I would have preferred some sort of retractable pen, but I knew I was getting a cap, and I can't complain about that. However, the cap does not fit on the back of the stylus. When you remove the cap to use the pen, you have to either hold it, or put it down and risk losing it. And, although the cap has a pocket clip, the clip is so tight it takes two hands to clip the pen to a shirt pocket (or anything else). Considering what this stylus cost, I expected something close to perfection. It's too nice to return, but it is a disappointment.I have tried a number of options for using a stylus on my iPad and all have been disappointing. The Pogo stylus models all feel like using a Q-tip as an input device. However, the Targus stylus feels so smooth with it's soft rubber tip. The iPad is just as responsive to this stylus as it is to a human finger. One thing I was impressed with was the weight of the pen, it feels perfectly weighted and balanced in hand. You will not have to worry about scratches. Styluses are not cheap and I was getting very tired I wasting money on disappointments. Finally, I found a winner! If you are impatient like me then you can find this stylus/pen at BestBuy for $30.00 or the strictly stylus model for $20.00.This item works great on my pad. It helps me to have greater control over my writing notes. It makes them more legible.I carry this little GEM with me every where I go and keep it by my bedside table for my Kindle Fire, READY anytime. I really hope I DON"T ware outthe rubber tip on this little guy. It's a TERRIFIC product. I use it constantly turning all the pages reading any magazings, books and especially working with those FAST-MOVING Games.
The Targus 2 is saving my SCREEN om my KINDLE FIRE HD 8.9 and it's a lot easier to move around the screen than trying to move my little finger on those tiny, tiny places on the game boards and between instructions on the games. I really like enjoy this pen. It is worth every dollar.

PDair Leather Case for Palm Tungsten E/E2 - Book Type (Black)
In the trash can it went. Do not order this piece of trashIt's a nice cover except for the slide on guide. This doesn't fit the side groove on the side of the Palm. This groove is the one the stylus stores in. I removed it and glued in Velcro in its place. Glued Velcro on my Palm.

Velocity Micro T301 Cruz 7-Inch Android 2.0 Tablet (Black)
- Velocity Micro Cruz Tablet 7-inch Touchscreen Android 2.0 Tablet General Features: Black color
- 7-inch capacitive touchscreen display 800 x 600 resolution
- Google Android 2.0 (Froyo) pre-installed Dual core processor 256 MB RAM 2 GB internal storage
- SD/SDHC memory card slot Mini-USB 2.0 interface Integrated IEEE 802.11n Wireless LAN
- Built-in speakers
Yesterday I came across information about upgrading from Android 2.0 to 2.2 and decided to give it a try. What a difference! First, the home screen just looks better. The pad is much more responsive than before -I'll have to get accustomed to tapping once and waiting before tapping the screen again. So far web browsing is easier, Kindle seems to be more stable (although I haven't used it long enough to really judge), and even battery life, which was good before, seems to have improved as well.
If you're looking to get your feet wet with a tablet but don't want to spend a lot of $$ the T301 might be a good start IF you upgrade to Android 2.2 (which you can do after you register the T301 at the velocitymicro.com site). Of course I haven't recently checked other tablet features/prices so you should probably do that!
Buy Velocity Micro T301 Cruz 7-Inch Android 2.0 Tablet (Black) Now
Received it with the new Froyo 2.2 OS installed right out of the box, its 2.2.1-rc7 to be exact. The capacitive screen behaves better than I thought, and I am not sure why people have such a huge issue with it, it works great and really is very responsive. The multi-touch does work, and yes, it does have some delay if you scroll around, say on a webpage or even to look around through your installed apps, its definitely not the same speed as you'd expect from an iPad, but its not bad at all either, I mean come on, this is a $150 product ! The more I use it, the more I like it, its definitely not as horrible as others have commented on some other reviews.Tried to install Angry Birds, nope, didn't install at all, none of the different Angry Birds did. Guns and Glory though runs pretty slowly, again, the processor on the T301 is only a bit more than 500mhz, so I am not surprised. Some other games work fine, such as Robot Defense, which runs a very playable speed. Adobe Flash Player didn't install at all, so no direct Flash support as stated in the Cruz manual. However, Youtube app does work fine, as well as some other apps that play online videos, which use the youtube app as a playback engine. Haven't tried anything 3D'ish, my assumption is that either it wouldn't install or wouldn't run.
As an eReader, it works flawlessly ! Amazon Kindle came pre-installed, and works great, iReader runs great, I have yet to put more, but I know that the Kobo reader app will run just fine and is available for download at the Cruz Market. Speaking of market, there's no way to put Android Market on this thing, but there are other app stores that can do the trick for you, such as AppBrain, SlideMe, and some others. It took me a while to find an internet radio app to install and run on the T301, Resco Radio 1.3, and must be 1.3, all other versions failed to install. Its awesome to have music going while I am reading !!
z4root didn't install, so forget about simple rooting. None of the searches I found on Google tells a solid rooting routine for the T301, but so far, I don't see why one needs to root it. App2SD does work and works wonderfully.
A couple of CON's I need to give the T301. There is no way to locate the T301's MAC address, since my router is set to use MAC address filtering for connecting to the web, I had to have its MAC address. You would expect to find it in the Settings>About... But no, its not there, this is not the first Android tablet I've owned, I know where it is normally, but on the T301, its just not shown ! I had no choice but to disable my router's MAC address filter but to have it wide open. Got the T301 connected, and loaded up the router's settings, and voila ! There's the T301's Mac address listed on the router's admin page !
Another CON is that the box says there's 2gb of storage space, but I only found 650megs !? I am not sure how and where I can get to the other 1.4gb of storage... If someone's reading this and knows what to do to claim space back, please help ! But then again, I have an external 4gb SD card inserted, its still good after all.
Like many other reviewers mentioned, the T301 is indeed quite heavy, at least heavier than my other tablets.
I have not tried loading movies on it, so I have no comment about it. Otherwise, if you have patience to look up apps that you need and that they DO install and work fine on the T301, then its really a great tablet for the price, but just don't expect it a gaming machine !
UPDATE 08-08-2011:
So it turns out that there IS a way to put Android Market on the Cruz T301. I did it by following what the below link suggested, and thank goodness, it DOES work !!!! The only thing I had to do prior to perform this little procedure was that I had to update my T301 with the firmware released some time in May on the Velocity Micro website, I had to make sure the Android OS is 2.2.1, but NOT 2.2.1rc7 or anything rc's. It took only about 3 to 5 minutes to update the firmware, and I got myself a fully working T301 with OS 2.2.1.
Putting the Anrdroid Market on it was also pretty easy, just follow what the folks said on the page. I have been downloading apps from the genuine Market like a kid in a free candy store ! Also Aldiko Premium 1.2.9 DOES work on the T301, install it for more of your reading needs !

Bought as a color, touchscreen Kindle. It's that and more!! Hooked up to WiFi fast and flawless. Great capacitive screen. Got live wallpaper. YouTube works great. Email works great. Needed get incoming/outgoing info from Centurylink, though. Must understand what you're buying. I have an iPad. This isn't one. Nor is it a full-fledged Android tablet. You're not getting that for $150!!! It IS, however, cheaper than a Nook Color with a Kindle selection. Some Android Apps work. Some don't. Try and see. Downloaded a video to 8GB SD card. Can't get it to play though. This is Android 2.2 out of the box. Didn't come with SD card. Not too important. They're cheap. No flash player. Skyfire Browser gives that though. I like this device. I like the 7inch screen. My kids steal my iPad and I needed a back up color, touchscreen reader/web browser with benefits for cheap. This is it!!!Want Velocity Micro T301 Cruz 7-Inch Android 2.0 Tablet (Black) Discount?
You can't actually use it, the apps all crash, you can't install anything because the Amazon and Android market place are not pre-installed and the browser keeps crashing so you can't get to the Amazon or Android Market places. I've reset factory defaults and tried over and over like a blind pig running into the broad side of a barn over and over again. I give up. I'm returning it.It actually came with Android 2.2.1 pre-installed.I did not do any research before ordering this product, my assumption was that since it ran Android it would be able to connect to the Google android market and download anything that would run on my two year old Droid cell phone. I was mistaken. Even though it is June 2012 this piece of Junk will not do 1/4 of what my 2010 Droid phone will.
I purchased this so that my 5 year old daughter would have a tablet to play with instead of using my smart phone. What I am now stuck with is a $100 paper weight that I cannot return for a refund even though I only had it out of the box for an hour. Thanks TigerDirect.com you just lost a customer for life.
If you want to download any type of game or app from the Google android market DO NOT BUY THIS cheap tablet.

Buy Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory (CMZ16GX3M2A1600C10) Now
I got two sticks for my Asus p9x79. At first install, perfect. All bench tests show 1600, etc. Then after two weeks, I notice that they are showing in BIOS as 1300 ??? My PCMARK went down accordingly. Then one day, after another almost 2 weeks, I saw Windows reporting 12 GB !!??? WTF ? BIOS also !!!Flashed BIOS, reset cmos, etc still 12 GB. Started swapping mem boards and slots, found that one of the pair was showing as 4GB / 1300 no matter what slot ( the other stayed at 8GB / 1600 as it should, in all slots tested ) both by itself and as part of the pair !
Amazon is great as always, shipped the replacement out overnight, no charge. So I didn't have to go through Corsair's RMA wait times, and costs.
Make sure to burn these in WELL ( linpak, P-95, etc ) in your first month ! I give them 4 stars here on the assumption that this was a fluke, they have a good rep.First let me state that the only other review as I write this believes that Amazon should be clairvoyant and know what type of computer he/she has! Do your homework!
These DIMMs are running great in my home built gaming machine. In an afterthought I would have bought 2200's instead of 1600. Right now I'm seeing a WindoZ experience of 7.8 with these DIMMs.
It's also especially nice having only two DIMMs for 16gig. It leaves room for large CPU heatsinks.I'm running 4 sticks of this memory (two 2x8GB kits = total 32GB) in my Windows 7 (64 bit) machine with no problems. I've used Corsair memory for several years and I also use their SSD's on several home desktops and laptops. I recommend Corsair products.
UPDATE if you're looking at this review you'll have to decide whether the comment made by a certain individual is of any value. Apparently this person thinks my review is misleading and I'm lucky the memory works for me. I'm simply reporting a positive experience from using 2 sets of the Corsair Vengeance 16 GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600MHz PC3 240 Pin DIMM Memory CMZ16GX3M2A1600C10 didn't want to bore anyone with the specifics of the build. The person making the comment appears to be using a stupid sexual reference pseudonym (won't even use his/her real name) and as best I can tell likes to make negative comments about reviews rather than offering information about a product.I installed four of these memory modules in my new computer. They are working just fine. I ran a (self-repeating) memory test for over 24 hours prior to loading the operating system.
Before you order memory modules, you should review the webpage and "User Guide" for your motherboard. I recently built a new computer using the ASUS Maximus V FORMULA LGA 1155 Intel Z77 Extended ATX DDR3 2800 PCIe 3.0 HDMI SupremeFX IV Audio Motherboard. The ASUS website (quite conveniently) provides a Qualified Vendor Lists (QVL) of compatible memory for this motherboard (although it may not be up-to-date for 8GB modules). Your motherboard's vendor may have a similar list.
If you purchased a ready-built computer, then look on the manufacturer's website to verify that you are purchasing the correct memory. For example, if you purchased your computer from the biggest computer maker, then log-on to your account, enter the Service Tag number for your computer, and then find the memory requirements. Or, you could just call and ask.
My computer's motherboard requires (1.5 volt) DDR3 dual in-line memory modules (DIMMs), installed in "matched sets" for "dual channel" function. My motherboard's "User Guide" recommends installing DIMMs from the same vendor, with the same CAS latency, and of the same version or date code (D/C). Because of this recommendations, and because these memory modules are ridiculously inexpensive, I went ahead and installed the maximum memory of four 8 GB DIMMs (32 GB). You can buy this memory with one pair of DIMMs or two pairs of DIMMs: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory (CMZ16GX3M2A1600C10) or Corsair Vengeance 32GB (4x8GB) DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory (CMZ32GX3M4X1600C10).
If you are interested in over-clocking memory, then you might want to research (1.5 volt) DDR3 DIMMs with higher clock ratings (i.e., 1866 MHz, 2000 MHz, 2133 MHz, and 2400 MHz). Naturally, I wanted the 2400 MHz memory; but I decided to try the much cheaper 1600 MHz memory first.
Please note: If you are only installing two DIMMS, you may need to install them in only two specific slots on the mother board (i.e., you can't just install them in any two slots). Check the "User Guide" for your motherboard to ensure that you are inserting the DIMMs in the correct slots. Of course, if you fill all slots with "matching" DIMMs, this will not be a concern.
No matter how much physical memory you install, your copy of the Windows operating system may limit how much memory your computer can use. Only Windows Professional 64 bit can access more than 16 GB of memory. The 32-bit editions of Window only support 4 GB of memory (3.5 GB usable). The 64 bit version of Windows Home Premium only supports 16 GB of memory; the 64 bit version of Windows Home Basic only supports 8 GB of memory.
Lastly, I recommend that you run a memory test on your newly-installed memory. I used Memtest86+ (it's free). Extract the image (iso) file from the ZIP file, and then create a bootable CD by burning disc from image (do NOT copy the iso file to CD, burn disc from image). I ran this memory test prior to loading the operating system.

Kensington Virtuoso Signature Stylus and Pen Black for New iPad 3rd Gen, iPad 2, iPad 1, Kindle Fire
- Stylus and pen for a convenient 2-in-1 solution
- Responsive, sensitive and durable touch tip
- Stylish and elegant design
- Easy twist action to reveal ballpoint pen (with refillable black ink cartridge)
- Pen clips easily to shirt pocket or bag
- Perfect stylus for your iPad or other touch screen tablet
PROS:
Stylish good looks
Responsive stylus
Doubles as a nice pen
CONS:
Pocket clip is a bit shallow
Before computers, the Internet, and touch screens, I was a bit of a pen and mechanical pencil collector. When I first saw the Kensington Virtuoso Signature Stylus, I thought it looked a lot like a Mont Blanc pen. The fact that I had a black Mont Blanc pen with silver accents, probably had a lot to do with the association. Either way, I immediately found the Virtuoso Signature to be a stylish-looking pen. It doesn't write like a Mont Blanc, but it's definitely a decent pen and a nice convenience. And of course, the ink is refillable.
The stylus end of the Virtuoso Signature looks like an eraser, or more similarly, like an earphone tip. If you were expecting the stylus to look something like an old Palm Pilot styli, you might be wondering why they're so different. Most modern touch screens are capacitive, while the older touch screens, like on the Palm Pilot, are resistive. Capacitive touch screens work differently in that they require an electrical conductor to disrupt the screen's electrostatic field. Long story short: you can't use the old-school styli with modern touch screens.
Getting used to a capacitive stylus took me about 15 minutes. After I got used to it, I was able to draw more precise lines and was having more fun playing Draw Something than using just my fingers. I was also able to sign my name better when using document signature apps.
I really like the Kensington Virtuoso Signature Stylus and Pen. It's stylish, writes well as a pen, and is more precise on touch screens than using fingers alone. My only gripe is that the pen clip is a tad shallow and doesn't feel overly secure when clipped in my bag or pocket. Given that the cost of the Virtuoso is in the same ballpark as a decent Cross pen, I'd prefer not to lose it. Aside from that, I'd say the Virtuoso Signature is a good way to go if you like to draw on your smartphone/tablet or need to be able to hand write with greater precision.
* Review sample provided by KensingtonI travel frequently for work and I'm always looking for a way to reduce the travel clutter. Having a pen and stylus combination helps with that. The pen writes well and the stylus is good. Helpful Hint: To change the refill, UNSCREW the refill... don't pull.A beautiful pen that also doubles as a capacitive stylus. It is a little thick for my hand but has a nice substantial weight. The twist action to use the pen is preferable to other styles which use a cap. The stylus works well and does not detract from the elegant look of the pen. This thing is a beautiful pen in itself! Then on the other end it has a very comfortable stylus tip. The pen writes wonderfully and the stylus is very accurate! It feels like no other stylus I have used and has a very eccentric tip. I use it on a Samsung Galaxy S3 and it even works on the capacitive buttons on the bottom which is a huge plus!!! Great buy!!! Awesome product and well engineered! Feel like getting another one for the hell of it!!!

Fintie Dual-View Multi Angle Leather Folio Case for Google Nexus 7 Tablet with Auto Wake/Sleep Featu
- Dual-View Multi Angle Leather Cover for Google Nexus 7 Android Tablet
- Environmentally Friendly Vegan Synthetic Leather. Soft Interior Lined with Non-Scratch Material.
- Detachable Inner Sleeve for Handheld Operation; Sleeve Reattaches to Folio by Velcro for Landscape or Portrait viewing.
- 20 Degree Typing Angle and Adjustable Viewing Stand Between 45-90 Degree. Magnetic Flap Closure with Built-in Sleep / Wake Feature.
- Elastic Loop for Stylus or Pen. Access to All Ports and Controls. Available in Black, Green, Purple, Magenta, Navy, Orange, Blue, Red and Dual Color.
However, this is where it goes downhill. The unit I received doesn't close the flap all the way down on the top right side, but it does on the bottom right. I guess there is a problem with the magnet in that particular area in my case. I see a weird S outline in the brown leather part, almost like dried hot glue. Also, MAPS AND COMPASS DO NOT WORK WHILE USING THIS CASE, it makes the sensors in the Nexus 7 go crazy. In Maps, my pointer would be spiraling or be pointing in the completely wrong direction... Not good!I bought this for my son's Nexus. He is four and could care less about what it looks like, but there was one thing I didn't like. The case covers up too much of the screen. There is a slide down notification bar at the top of the nexus screen that you cant reach without having to dig up under the cover. Other than that, I have no complaints. It surrounds the Nexus and protects it from falls. This case isn't perfect, but it is very nice for the low price range. I'm writing this review because from the pictures it's not completely obvious how it works. Essentially, there are two parts: an inner sleeve that wraps completely around the Nexus 7 and an outer cover. The inner sleeve is completely detachable from the outer cover and its back is covered in "soft" velcro. The sleeve is almost a case on its own, and is pleasant enough to hold, feeling soft and fuzzy. It also has a pen/stylus holder (black elastic you see in the pictures on the upper right) and four small velcro tabs.
The sleeve attaches to the cover through a long strip of "rough" velcro, most easily seen in the orange color pictures. Since the entire back of the sleeve can stick to the velcro, it can be positioned in various ways. When upright, the four small velcro tabs keep the bottom of the screen from sliding around the cover.
One other note is that there are speaker holes in the sleeve but NOT in the cover. When used apart from the cover, you get ~100% speaker (not quite 100% since they are holes, not a slot). When open like a book, the speakers are muffled. When upright and landscape, you get 50% muffled speakers. Finally, when upright and portrait, the sleeve holes are fully exposed.
Caveats of the case? Well, considering the price they are minor:
1) The design of the sleeve makes it hard to hit the edge of the Nexus screen. There are several covers with this limitation. I don't think I've seen any rotating covers that do not surround the screen, though, so it's just a trade-off to be aware of.
2) The workmanship isn't perfect. Note there is a two-star review of someone whose cover didn't close perfectly. My cover is fine but the Nexus sat a little crooked in the sleeve before I gave it some extra tweaking. The sleeve isn't perfectly square.
3) The magnetic on/off feature works great! But, it can interfere with your compass. Since the magnet is in the cover, just remove the sleeve from the cover if you need an accurate reading.
I spent a LOT of time looking at cases on Amazon. Keep in mind that many of the $20-$30 cases are equivalent to $10 cases, just different branding! Have fun finding something you like. :)I received this product on the exact date it was promised. I really like the look of it. It looked professional, unlike some other folios I have looked at. I ordered it and thought "what the heck", for a few dollars let me check it out. My wife and I love the look and feel of this product. Professional looking and inexpensive (read as not cheap). This is a fantastic product that I use on a daily basis. I like the fact that it turns the Nexus on and off just by opening or closing the cover, and it is very durable. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a good cover for their Google Nexus 7.

So I was just snapping a picture every hour or so and saving it to my iPhone UNTIL ... I upgraded to IOS6! Now the app (SKYIPCAM) is completely useless and crashes as soon as you try and view your camera! The whole world knows IOS6 is coming but the answer I get back from their TERRIBLE customer support staff (based out of India) is "oh sorry, our vendor is from India and they won't give us an ETA for a fix". WHAT? A TERRIBLE COMPANY and TERRIBLE SUPPORT OF THEIR PRODUCTS!!
Will never buy from this company again and will never recommend them to a friend.

I have actually had this camera for a while now. It's the coolest thing since it is interactive. With the new IPhone app, I can see and hear what's going on at home from anywhere in the world. You will need to set up your router with port forwarding and such, but once it's connected it is great. I took off just one star because I wish the quality was just a little better, but it works as advertised.Read Best Reviews of Airlink IP Camera (AICN1777W) Here
I have worked all day trying to get this camera to work. I have called tech support and left a message, and I have sent email to support.I can set up the camera, but I can't set it for remote viewing. What good is it without that? Also, the iPad app does not work, it will not connect with the camera.
So far, I am very disappointed all around.
I finally got it to work. I got on the phone with tech support. However, each time you reset your modem, you have to enter a new IP address into the camera software. So, during my last trip, a storm killed the power to my modem, and when it came back up, I had to reset the IP address. I had to be at home in order to do that, so I lost my camera for the second half of my trip. Once it is connected, it works fine. Even though I like it, it is hard to set up. I added one star to cover my ignorance.
