Acase iPad 3 Case - The New iPad 3rd Generation Premium Micro Fiber Leather Case and Flip Stand with

Acase iPad 3 Case - The New iPad 3rd Generation Premium Micro Fiber Leather Case and Flip Stand with Stylus Holder - 100% Support Sleep & Awake
  • The New Design iPad 3 Leather Case: Automatically wakes and puts the new iPad to sleep
  • Available for access to all functionalities
  • Available for two standing positions, and a stylus to attach to the case
  • Build in magnetic closure, stylus is not included
  • All controls, buttons, and pots are kept open. Fits both iPAD 2 and iPAD 3.

The reviews were mixed, everything from the camera hole didn't match, to the iPad not fitting. They were all wrong. I bought this for my iPad 3 and it fits like a glove, it doesn't slide out and protects the iPad. I needed protection because my 4 yrs old loves the iPad and I was worried about protecting it. The only pet peeve I have is the way it closes, because of the magnetic close and auto turn off/turn on. The case sometimes doesn't seal well or close well, and the iPad is left on. This would be a 5 star if it had a snap to seal it shut. Otherwise, this product works great.

This cover is so much better than Apple's smartcover. Much better protection, nice padded material that offers ample cushioning if the iPad were to drop, and it fits great. Couldn't be happier!

Read Best Reviews of Acase iPad 3 Case - The New iPad 3rd Generation Premium Micro Fiber Leather Case and Flip Stand with Here

I have used Acase leather covers for years on my iPad1. Please realize my rating is a personal one because I use my iPad -using the Acase -on my lap and email people. The iPad 1 case has 4 selections for upright use ( broadside, not portrait) and I set the iPad on the second set of notches and I have a secure solid base with plenty of surface to keep my iPad stable. The only reason I give the acase for the iPad3 a three star is there is only one upright and the base isn't deep enough for stable use on my lap. As I tried to type it was rocking back and forth. So I have retrofitted the Acase from my iPad 1 and am making do with it. I couldn't take a photo with my ipad 1 case and it isn't perfect, but it works for me. I wish Acase would have retained the same 4 point system used in their previous Acase covers as that would have perfectly fit the iPad and met my needs. If you use your iPad on a table and not your lap, this could be a 5 star for you. Again Acase is my favorite and it would sure be nice if they modified this case.

The color was a little brighter than i had expected but that's ok! it is still really good looking and love the brighter one anyway! the cover itself seems really good! arrived promptly and the magnet works really really really well for shutting off the ipad and waking it up. material seems really legit too! all in all, great product for the price!

Socket Communications CF Rugged DPC for Qualcomm 860/1960/2760 Handsets

Socket Communications CF Rugged DPC for Qualcomm 860/1960/2760 Handsets
  • Connects Qualcomm 860, 1960, and 2760 GSM handsets to a Pocket PC or any Pocket PC or Handheld PC Pro
  • CompactFlash CF+ card plugs into any CF+ slot
  • Includes GSM fax/modem software and Microsoft's wireless communications kit for Windows CE
  • Kit features a setup wizard, real-time Web browsing for Pocket PCs, and ActiveSync 3.0
  • Battery Friendly design conserves battery power

I bought this product with a little apprehension due to anticipated (I am very pessimistic) compatability issues. Forget that.

Installation was exceptionally easy and took only a few minutes (for all my devices). I was downloading my e-mail and surfing the Internet via my Qualcomm 860 phone in a matter of minutes. I installed the product onto the following devices: HP Jornada 545 (pocket PC), HP Jornada 690, and a Compaq Presario 1800 series laptop. All devices easily work with the product, zero compatability issues.

This is a great alternative to other dedicated (and expensive) wireless devices such as the Merlin card, provided you have a mobile phone already. Socket includes an adapter that allows you to use the card in your laptop.

Buy Socket Communications CF Rugged DPC for Qualcomm 860/1960/2760 Handsets Now

I got one of these to use with my Jornada 548. I had to switch my service and get the Qualcomm phone to use it, but that was fine with me, the Qualcomm is a real nice light thin phone. You do need to pay extra for web access with the phone, but that does allow you to use the built-in web-browsing on the phone as well, for things like stock quotes and weather.

Installation is easy enough, although you do need to be sure to set the baud rate exactly as mentioned in the manual...usually a modem will adjust it down if you set it to high, but in this case, it just won't dial the phone. Other than that, it works great. However, it is a considerably slower speed than you get with something like the Pretec 56K modem, and of course, you DO have to pay cell phone connect fees. I personally would not want to rely on it solely, whenever I have access to a phone line, a regular modem is best.

iGadgitz Black 'Guardian' Genuine Napa Leather Case Cover for Asus Eee Pad Transformer TF101 TF101G

iGadgitz Black 'Guardian' Genuine Napa Leather Case Cover for Asus Eee Pad Transformer TF101 TF101G 10.1' 3.0 Android Tablet
  • Hand stitched designer leather case with unique style
  • Customised design to fit the Asus Transformer with cut-outs for ports, cameras, sensors and buttons
  • Camera lens protection strap
  • 3 position viewing stand smartly designed to integrate into the case
  • Magnet free cover design means all compass related navigation features will still work accurately!

I just got this case and was disappointed in the quality. It has two small spots/holes in case that are defects in manufacturing that will no doubt continue to get larger. I was quite frankly stunned to see this as having spent $40.00, I expected this to be a premium case. Not the case (no pun intended). I initially purchased the Blurex case for my Transformer and while that case is a good case, I wanted something a bit nicer with premium quality leather. Sadly, this case isn't it. I'm not sure if it's Napa leather as it has more of a strong chemical smell then it does real leather. Note that I spend good money to buy the best in leather products (Google "Saddleback Leather" and take a look at what real quality leather products look like). Unfortunately, Saddleback doesn't make a case for the Transformer as I would easily spend twice what I paid for this case to get something that is top notch quality.

Marware Vibe Standing Case for Kindle Fire HD 8.9", Purple

Marware Vibe Standing Case for Kindle Fire HD 8.9', PurpleI have the old marware case for the old kindle fire. It was a great case. This too, is a great case. Their last case also broke the bank a little, but this one was just right.

Pros

-Looks nice, didn't realize it from the pictures, but there's a faux wood texture to the cover. I like it, it also seems to help with the table grip. The colors are very deep as well. Orange is... very orange.

-Fits SNUG. The bracket that holds your precious grabs with very little, but it GRABS TIGHT. It's possibly more difficult to get out than the last case. I recommend the technique in the manual, my first attempt wasn't working.

-Leans at any angle. Just like the last you can adjust the angle of the screen to your heart's content. The bending and creasing is a non-issue if you undo the snap. It's engineered to only crease in one spot and sits on a non-slip surface inside the cover. Takes some considerable table shake for it to slip.

-Build quality seems identical to the last so it ought to be quite DURABLE. I drop things... alot... usually on cement, so I was quite pleased with the last case, and looking forward to being pleased with this one.

Cons

No inside cover strap like the last one had. Admittedly though, the 8.9" is pretty huge in hand and I fairly sure it would've been awkward anyways.

POSSIBLE CON: The bracket is made of hard plastic, my concern is if I drop it, is that corner going to shatter. For me that's not if, but when I'll drop it. The last case had leather over metal(?) and has saved me many a times. I'll keep you posted.

I'm not too concerned though, the plastic is one of those fancy resins ("One word: Plastics!") that feels kinda like metal, and besides, if you were making a protective case for an expensive electronic, I think the first thing you would test would be dropping it. Maybe I'd be concerned if it was a new company, but they've been around the block before.

So until I drop this and break the plastic corner (which I'm just not willing to do on purpose for you fine folks), an awkward handstrap is small price to pay for a vastly improved price.

5 STARS.

Feel free to comment with questions and I'll try to answer them. I will not however respond to you if you're just complaining about how I mentioned price. Quality/Price = Value.

EDIT:

Hot Dog, I just noticed it wakes my kindle when I open the case.

This MARWARE VIBE STANDING CASE for the 8.9" Kindle Fire HD tablet is a great no-nonsense case. The case is thin enough to be comfortable to hold in your hands, but thick enough to provide some protection from other objects that you might be carrying in a bag, pack, or tote. The case has the feel of leather (it isn't), and part of the front cover has a nice textured vertical-line pattern that resembles raw silk.

The case has an automatic sleep/wake feature that turns the tablet on or off when you open or close the cover. For this feature to work, you must insert the tablet with the on/off button at the top and the camera on the left, at the center of the case. (When the tablet turns on, you must swipe the "unlock" ribbon, or the tablet will turn off again.) A narrow elastic band holds the cover closed as needed.

This case holds the weighty 8.9" Kindle Fire HD tablet securely in a hard interior frame. Once you click the tablet into the frame, it won't dislodge easily (although you can pop the tablet out of the frame fairly easily if you need to). The hard frame snaps onto the back cover. If you need to use the tablet in portrait orientation (say for reading), the front cover folds back easily, and the snap holds the frame and tablet securely.

For landscape orientation, you unsnap the snap, fold back the back cover, and move the frame forward to your choice of viewing angles. A rubbery lining on the inside of the front cover grabs and holds the frame surprisingly well at whatever angle is most comfortable for you. The tablet won't want to fall flat unless you pick an angle that places the edge of the frame less than 2" from the edge of the front cover.

I really like the shallow viewing angles that are possible when this case is used in landscape orientation. I actually like this case better than the more expensive Marware Revolve Portrait and Landscape Standing Case for Kindle Fire HD 8.9", which has a padded leather cover and rotating interior frame. This case is less bulky, and I don't need much padding because my big Kindle Fire HD tablet is mostly a stay-at-home. If all you want is a sleeve, then you might consider the rooCASE Super Bubble Neoprene Sleeve Case Cover for Apple iPads, which fits the 8.9" Kindle Fire HD tablet (without any case) very well.

Buy Marware Vibe Standing Case for Kindle Fire HD 8.9", Purple Now

Ordered this item in red and it is very close to "fire engine" red. The case clips onto the Fire HD with very little bulk, just attaching with clips at each of the four corners. Still, it holds the tablet well and doesn't feel flimsy at all. I had a similar Marware case for my original Fire, and never had an issue with the fastener system. The finish is very nice and clean, with very little odor to the materials.

This case is designed to crease along the back cover when using it as a stand. It does not come pre-creased, so using it will put a bend into the clean back surface. That's unavoidable, unless you never use the stand. To use the stand, you snap loose the brace (there's a snap closure) and bend the back cover to your desired angle. The friction of rear of the Kindle on the rubbery lining holds it in place. Contrary to another review, I had no problem getting the Fire to stay at any angle for viewing. It doesn't slip as long as you pop the snap and bend the back cover as designed.

Overall, it's a very sharp looking case that works exactly as it's supposed to.

Read Best Reviews of Marware Vibe Standing Case for Kindle Fire HD 8.9", Purple Here

One of the best features of the new Fire is the auto on/off feature that responds to opening and closing the case. With this particular model, unlike the "official", Kindle-branded one (and presumably other), the feature only works when the Kindle is placed upside down in the case (i.e. the camera is on the bottom of the device). I presume this is done to keep the HDMI/charging ports accessible, but the Kindle-branded case achieves the same end by flipping having the cover flip over the top rather than sliding the Kindle out from beneath. In addition, the case completely blocks the speakers -a condition rendered even worse with the cover OPEN as it covers them twice. This, versus the Amazon case (and a few others) with dedicated slots for the speakers. Finally, the case feels cheap and is far thicker than the Kindle-branded one. I know it sounds like I'm raving about the Kindle-branded case and I am. In fact, I just returned my Marware purchase and am buying the Kindle-branded one.

Want Marware Vibe Standing Case for Kindle Fire HD 8.9", Purple Discount?

Owners of the new Kindle Fire HD 8.9" series are lucky, because never before have there been such an array of choices in cases and holders, not even when the original Kindle Fire was first released. We have choices in features, styles and prices, and some of these are evolved and improved designs from earlier versions.

For this user, the Marware Vibe Standing Case for Kindle Fire HD 8.9" in black was an easy choice based on past experience. This is an evolved product from their earlier Marware Vibe Case Cover with Stand for the 1st generation Kindle Fire, and that product has held up quite well over time. When that earlier version was purchased, I wasn't looking for stylishness as much as pure functionality in a case or cover, as style can often obscure solid functionality and protection of the device. This new version for the Kindle Fire HD 8.9" series shows that it's already proving to be a good choice. But first here are the subjective pro and con points, then the observations as an owner.

Pros:

+ Four-point mounting system; holds the Kindle Fire HD 8.9" securely, no flimsy little elastic straps

+ Non-slip pad on interior of front lid; allows for a wide array of viewing angles

+ Adjusts easily to a rational and comfortable typing and viewing positions

+ Ports: easy access to charging and HDMI ports while inside case, even closed

+ Cover offers good protection for the screen; easy to clean

+ Elastic strap; holds the cover closed without interference

Cons:

No hand strap for one-handed use as available on other Marware models

Observations:

The four-point mounting system on this case not only holds the Kindle Fire HD 8.9" tablets securely without the flimsy little elastic straps found in some cases, it allows the device to snaps into place and doesn't mar the surface, as I've found in previous models from other companies. The power switch, the HDMI and USB Micro-B charging port and headphone jack are not obstructed, as we find with some other cases that are not certified as "Made for Kindle" accessories.

What makes this cover stand out is the wide variety of positions with which it can be used. It can be flipped open to lie flat in either a horizontal or vertical position, or easily adjusted to an angled viewing position, which is excellent for viewing videos and movies, along with photo slide shows. A slight adjustment in that variable horizontal position makes it easy for typing for extended periods when answering emails, or exploring Facebook, LinkedIn and other sites. It can be angled almost any way that you might like.

That being said, the more costly Marware Revolve Portrait and Landscape Standing Case for Kindle Fire HD 8.9" may be a better choice for some users. It has a similar mounting system and is a leather case that revolves around the Kindle Fire HD 8.9" a full 90° so you can read, type or watch it in the horizontal or vertical position. It also has an interior hand strap for one-handed use, a strong plus point.

Summary:

The Marware Vibe Standing Case for Kindle Fire HD 8.9" was an easy choice based on past experience with a very similar model for the original Kindle Fire. Other than lacking a hand strap for one-handed use, this model is subjectively one of the best choices currently available in mid-priced cases and holders. It's a solid 4-star product, and can easily be recommended for owners of the Kindle Fire HD 8.9" series.

Heavy-Duty Hybrid Case with Kickstand and Belt Clip Holster for Verizon , AT&T , and Sprint Apple iP

Heavy-Duty Hybrid Case with Kickstand and Belt Clip Holster for Verizon , AT&T , and Sprint Apple iPhone 5 ** Includes Accessory Genie Stylus! **
  • Holster equipped with fast-action spring opening clip for quick access to your Apple iPhone 5
  • 180 degree rotating belt clip for vertical and horizontal wearing styles
  • Soft-touch, rubberized and texturized material provides protection and a comfortable handling surface
  • Slim-fit, custom case allows access to all ports and functionalities without removing your phone
  • Built-in kickstand perfect for hands-free landscape viewing

Got this case last week and have not taken it off since. 90% of the case is silicone with the exception of the corners and middle pieces which are hard plastic, to prevent the case from slipping off my phone. The back of the case has matte-rubberized grips above and below the kick stand. This is nice because I always hated the extra grippy cases that would stick to inside of the pockets and would be a hassle to take out when getting a call or just checking for emails/texts. Last but not least the kick stand is surprisingly sturdy, and awesome to use for watching movies/videos or in my case RedZone for football... Definitely recommend this case for anyone who wants something slick and stylish with good protection

rooCASE Super Bubble Neoprene Sleeve Case for Acer Aspire One AO751h-1893 11.6-Inch (Black / Pink)

rooCASE Super Bubble Neoprene Sleeve Case for Acer Aspire One AO751h-1893 11.6-InchThis case was absolutely perfect until the zipper on the small pouch broke soon after the case arrived. The case fits the Acer Aspire One 11.6 perfectly, and is really attractive. It also protects the computer very well. I love everything about the case except the zipper breaking. I don't know if the zipper breaking was a result of a poor design, or a manufacturing anomaly.

Amazon processed the return effortlessly. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to try this same case again, and test my luck with the zipper, or if I'll try something different.

If I knew that my zipper problem was a fluke, I would give this case 5 stars and buy the same one again in an instant. If I knew it was a design flaw and prone to happen again, I would give it none. Since I'm unsure, I'll give it four for now, until I hear from other customers about their experiences with the zippers.

2.4G Rii Mini i8 Wireless Keyboard with Touchpad for PC Pad Google Andriod TV Box

2.4G Rii Mini i8 Wireless Keyboard with Touchpad for PC Pad Google Andriod TV BoxI have to say I am picky when it comes to my HTPC remotes. This is my 7th remote and I would rank it top 3.

PROs

button layout great

very form fitting in my hands

range is the same as others (enough to sit on a couch with direct line of sight

battery life

CONs

every so often it cannot keep up with my typing and misses letters

NO backlight

no obstacle can be in the way others you could put in the back of a pc this has to go in front

If the cons are not that bad I would recommend this, My favorite of all time is the Rii mini the black one from 2009. It may not have the best layout but its reliable and once you have gone through as many as I have you just want something that works

I normally do not write reviews but feel others should know they might get a device that has really bad range. The manual says the device has a 10m range. The best reception I got was maybe 1-1.5m away. I read reviews on some other sites and others have had the same problem. I am sending this back for a refund and will update with the outcome. Other than the range being awful, the design and ease of use is really nice.

Buy 2.4G Rii Mini i8 Wireless Keyboard with Touchpad for PC Pad Google Andriod TV Box Now

This tiny keyboard is handy for controlling a home theatre computer. You won't want to write a book, or maybe even emails, with a keyboard like this, but it is great for typing in a URL, username, password, etc.

I bought it to use with an MK802 II Mini Android PC, and it is well suited for that purpose for occasional control purposes. You just take the USB dongle and plug it into the USB socket for the Mini PC (the dongle was located in the battery compartment). No drivers or settings, it just starts working when the Mini PC boots.

It also has a touchpad mouse that works with single-gesture finger touches. Mouse buttons are located on left and right side of the touchpad, but there is another pair, with bigger buttons and in a handier location, at the left side of the keyboard.

There is a built-in rechargeable battery, and a micro-USB socket that you plug a cable into to recharge the device. I was really pleased to find that the keyboard came to me pre-charged, ready to use, a nice touch.

As a fast typist and mouse user on a conventional PC for many years, this device seems a bit slow and clunky to use by comparison. It's thumb typing, not touch typing. Positioning the mouse is not as rapid (for me) as a "real" mouse.

The tradeoff, of course, is the small size. A full conventional keyboard and mouse requires a lot of space and a table surface. The table near the home theatre is not well suited to this, and I don't require the speed and flexibility of conventional keyboard and mouse, because with a home theatre PC, you mainly use the controls to start your entertainment, and except for games, there is not much further interaction.

The device is a bit smaller than I expected. It is like two remote controls side by side, except thinner, and with a nice curvy shape that is easy to hold in two hands for operation. It seems solid and well built. I don't expect keys to come flying off, for example, and because they are rubber rather than plastic, there's a good chance that the key labels will stay a good while.

Although I have not tried it, I assume that this device could be used with a conventional keyboard and mouse also plugged into the USB port (perhaps using a small hub). I think it can be used with PCs and Macs. I will update this review once I have tried some of these things.

BOTTOM LINE: Four stars means "I Like It". It is a very handy device for infrequent interactions with the computer.

Read Best Reviews of 2.4G Rii Mini i8 Wireless Keyboard with Touchpad for PC Pad Google Andriod TV Box Here

I thought this thing would work perfectly as a way to interact with my google-TV.

The battery housing is such that the battery contacts don't remain in constant contact with the terminals. . . leading to spotty performance.

After one month of use, the battery doesn't hold a charge, so the only way I can use my "wireless" keyboard is to plug it into a usb charger with an extension cord on it.

The keys don't seem to catch every click. Sometimes they capture 2 clicks.

Now, I don't know for sure how much of the key-click problems are related to the keyboard or to the googleTV device I have. If I had it to do over again, I would have gotten a larger-sized keyboard, with a bigger battery.

Want 2.4G Rii Mini i8 Wireless Keyboard with Touchpad for PC Pad Google Andriod TV Box Discount?

I received this keyboard late last week and while for the most part it seems to be very well built and work really well, I found that the "I" key on my keyboard was defective. It requires A LOT of pressure, at first I thought it was totally broken.

I already started the return process on amazon and will update my review if the replacement ordered works without problems.

UPDATE: I received a new one of these. The new one seems to work great. All keys work consistently so far. I found some minor connection issues when I had it connected to a hub. I connected it directly and have not had any problems since (maybe some interaction with the hub?

So far my experience has included Windows 7 and some android use.

Of all mini keyboards, in terms of feel and layout this is my favorite. My reasons include:

1. scroll function (missing in many similarly priced keyboards, mostly fly-mouse types)

2. navigation arrows and centered OK button are the most used function of all for HTPC

3. Dedicated volume / mute and media keys

I will continue to update as things develop. For the moment I have upgraded my one star review to four stars.

UPDATE 1/7/2013:

I like this keyboard very much overall. However, I found that when used with a hub (and I have tried two different ones) sometimes the trackpad will not work or the connection will break (and I have to turn off and back on to get it working again). It could also be interactions with the other harware I have on the hub, such as thumb drives, etc. but only the keyboard seems to exhibit issues.

At least, going to a direct USB port seems to work well. This might help people with erratic performance who have not yet tried using a direct (no hub) port.

Redfly Mobile Companion C7I have seen this product on sale for $200 and thought about buying it but I didn't. I'm glad I didn't! I just paid $40 and feel it is a little overpriced. It is not easy to navigate the screens and the mouse on the Redfly is constantly out of sync with the Blackberry. Also, the screen resolution does not allow it to use the entire viewable area. It is not easy to use, but could be useful for typing long emails on a train or something if you have that need. You don't want to spend more than $40 though, it's not worth it.

rooCASE 3n1 Dual-View Multi Angle (Magenta) Leather Folio Case Cover / Capacitive Stylus / 2Pack Ant

rooCASE 3n1 Dual-View Multi Angle Leather Folio Case Cover / Capacitive Stylus / 2Pack Anti-Glare Screen Protector for Amazon Kindle Fire 7-Inch Android TabletI really love this case, more than I expected to, it has actually made the Fire even more fun to use. I bought this package deal because the case alone was out of stock with other sellers. I was hesitant, but I needed a case for my Fire immediately. It was worth the extra money. The case is obviously high quality and looks great. It works exactly as described, and although it holds snugly, the Kindle is easy to slide in to the cover. Using the case as a stand works perfectly, it even stays stable while on my lap. There is a magnetic piece on the part that covers the screen, so it will stay closed when not in use.

The stylus that came in this package is very nice. It does its job and doesn't look or feel cheap like some others I've bought. It is about the size of a Bic pen, so it is easy to hold and "write" with. The stylus comes with a plastic piece that plugs into your headphone jack for storage, but I find that it is better to clip it to the side of the case. Having it dangle around below my kindle would cause it to get lost or broken.

Now to the screen protectors. You get two in this package. I personally did not like them, and ended up throwing away both. As soon as I peeled the protective layer off, they both had dust and fuzz on them. I tried to ignore it and put them on any way, but I just could not get the bubbles out. The first scratched very easily when I used the bubble tool, so I had to to take it off because all I could see were little scratches everywhere. I used the cleaning cloth on the second to smooth out the bubbles with no success. These do not protect from glare or sunlight, so they aren't that necessary to me. I cannot say I am an expert with these screen protectors, but I have successfully put them on my Ipod and phones before. I will say, the cleaning cloth is surprisingly nice. It cleans fingerprints and dust very well.

I read my Kindle everywhere and when I don't have the hands to hold it the multi angle function is wonderful. The case is sturdy and protects my kindle very well.

SF Planet® Premium Quality USB Sync Charge Desktop Dock Cradle for HP iPaq 100 / 110 / 111 / 112

SF PlanetĀ® Premium Quality USB Sync Charge Desktop Dock Cradle for HP iPaq 100 / 110 / 111 / 112I have an HP iPaq to function as my second brain. Yeah, I forget a ton of things and it keeps me on track. I could probably upgrade to a "smart" phone, I digress, this review is about the failure of a dock.

The product was at a great price, arrived fast and unscathed from wherever it was born. I plugged it into a spare USB port and viola, I have a place to let the PDA sleep at night.

This thing did not last six months. Windows does not recognize the device. Not the PDA, the dock. Tried searching for driver updates, all manner of computer trickery, and ultimately gave up. Junk.

I will close this review with a bit of Megadeth. High Speed Dirt.

"Hurling through the air, exhilarating high

See the earth below, soon to make a crater

Blue sky, black death, I'm off to meet my maker"

I hope the dock was singing this song as I "disposed" of it.

The unit is just what you expect. Just keep in mind that if you use (as I do) an oversized batery (which is pretty much a must with the ipaq), then the cradle is not going to fit.

This Fosmon cradle/charger for the HP IPAQ111 is both reasonably priced and reasonably well made and does what it is supposed to do without any problems. I had also purchased a similar Fosmon cradle/charger combination from SF Planet for the Palm TX a few years ago and was very pleased and completely happy with that unit too. It is a no-frills device without a spare battery charger attached to the rear of the cradle (these spare battery chargers are also available in exactly the same unit design, but of course for a higher selling price from at least two different vendors, one of which is far more expensive than the other, but which is not rated very well at all). This unit comes complete with a plug-in USB to mini-USB cable, an indoor 110V standard plug (with a USB slot) and of course the cradle itself (with a mini-USB slot). The cradle is heavy enough that it is unlikely to easily fall over at all as has been common with some other units. The USB cable plugs into the back side of the cradle directly. The front of the cradle even has a blue LED light that is turned on whenever the cradle is plugged into your PC. The IPAQ sits nicely onto the USB mini-plug at the bottom center of the cradle between the clear plastic support piece that surrounds the USB attachment. It attaches nicely and firmly if a little pressure is applied after carefully seating the IPAQ onto the cradle mini-plug.

Targus CHCL01 Universal Pda/stowaway Combo

Targus CHCL01 Universal Pda/stowaway Combo
  • Keeps Your Stowaway & PDA Safe and Sound
  • Easy Access Front Compartment, with Loop Closure, Holds Your PDA and Business Cards
  • Zippered Secondary Compartment Secures Your Stowaway Keyboard
  • Protected for Life
  • PDA and Keyboard Case

I got this case for my Jornada and the HP Stowaway keyboard. I was very surprised to find that the Targus HP Stowaway keyboard does not fit into the Targus Combo case. You cannot zip the case around the HP keyboard, it is slightly too big for the case to zip up. I also was not confident that the two Velcro tabs would hold my Jornada securely in place. This combo case might be fine for Palms, but it does not work with the HP keyboard and Jornada.

The way that this case holds your PDA is lousy. You have to affix two adhesive-backed velcro strips to the back of your PDA in order to be able to put your PDA in this case. I think that's pretty lame right there, but if you use a Compaq iPaq it's a terminal problem, as you can't fit an expansion sleeve on the unit once you've attached the velcro strips. Blech.

I purchased this case looking for a compact way to carry my Targus keyboard *very cool accessory* and Visor Pro together. It works fine, and is very close fitting. My only discount on rating would be the velcro--It fits fine, but between the soft reset port located on the back, the expansion slot cover and the necessity to dock snuggly when synching, there isn't much room for the velcro pieces. My only other complaint would be the thickness of it...With those two tightly encapsulated in the case, it is quite a tower and pretty bulky. I'd say it's as close as it's going to get, however, as this case is a snug fit. For anyone who isn't really concerned with space, and not looking for a wallet, I'd go for it. I'll probably get a slim case for when I don't need my keyboard. I read a review where someone put the velcro on their hard cover--great idea, especially since you wouldn't need it for a slim case (it has holders which utilize the handspring's ports and snap in your visor). Good luck!

I have a Palm IIIxe and the keyboard didn't fit at first. But I hoped the leather would give a little stretch and with Targus lifetime guarantee that they purported, I gave it a shot and squeezed as much as I could without damaging my precious Palm foldable keyboard. Fortunately, it goes in JUST nicely, just keep your keyboard in there for the leather to mould to its shape.

However, I really HATED the segment for my Palm because of the irritating side holder bar for Palm Vx which is of no use for anyone without a Palm VX and is really a pain in the neck that nudges my Palm III to the outer edge. Plus, why would a Palm Vx owner need the velcro??

Also, the length of the case is TOO LONG for my Palm III, so I thought that was a waste of space (looks like it is to accomodate the longer HP Jornadas). This product tries to accomodate ALL types of PDAs, like Palms, pocket PCs etc but I really think they could do better by making a custom product for each range. Just doesn't make sense. I put my Palm slim leather case beside it and admired its micro dimensions, very much tempted to use the slim case plus the nylon case for my keyboard instead.....darn...

I have a Visor Deluxe/Stowaway and the keyboard fits perfectly in the case and provides a very secure way to carry the visor. The velcro is very sturdy and if you don't want to velcro your Visor to the case, you can velcro the plastic cover that comes with it to the case and then your visor snaps in.

Acer Aspire V3-551G-X419 15.6-Inch Laptop (Midnight Black)

Acer Aspire V3-551G-X419 15.6-Inch Laptop
  • AMD A-Series Quad-Core A10-4600M 2.3 GHz (4 MB Cache)
  • 6 GB DDR3 RAM
  • 750 GB 5400 rpm Hard Drive
  • 15.6-Inch Screen, AMD Radeon? HD 7660G + 7670M Dual Graphics
  • Windows 8, 5-hour battery life

Pros:

Powerful machine that can run most modern games on medium to high settings.

Runs a majority of programs effortlessly.

AMD Dual Graphics settings allow you to set how much power you want running to certain programs [Adobe, video games, converters, you name it] or which programs you want to run in power saving settings. A great way to avoid future hassles with programs you use all the time.

Video quality is superb in combination with the monitor and the dual graphics card.

Sound quality is beautiful, the speakers are flawless.

Cons:

After arriving late, opened up the package and began uninstalling Windows 8.

[you must totally format the hard drive and leave it unallocated in order to install Windows 7]

Took a few hours to get all the drivers back on it, and after some searching, managed to get the graphics card fully functioning.

[Install AMD Catalyst 12.8, restart, 12.9 embedded, restart, and AMD CAP 3, restart, followed by 13.1 to avoid BSOD]

Should you choose to keep Windows 8, that would cut out some work. But that's up to you.

Runs hot, look into a good cooling pad.
