I own a Kensington 33374, the predecessor to this product and one of the most popular wireless presenters on Amazon. As I wrote in my 4-star review of that device back in March of this year: "One way that Kensington could make their next model more useful would be for the USB adapter to double as a thumbdrive. Since you'll be plugging it into the host computer anyway, why not put your presentation on it?"

My prayers were answered.

This model is practically identical to its predecessor; why mess with a good design? (The 33374 currently has 152 customer reviews averaging 4.5 stars.) It lacks the heft, chrome and fancy features of high-end presenter models--there are no programmable buttons, no mousing capability--but has all of the basics down pat: Just plug the tiny USB dongle into the computer you want to use (there are no drivers needed on any recent version of Windows or Mac OS X), then use the left and right arrows to flip from slide to slide and the top arrow to point a bright red laser point. (The lower button toggles blackout mode in PowerPoint, which is nice if you want to focus your audience's attention on something other than the slides for a moment.) It's simple, comfortable--and now it has 1GB of storage, enough for hundreds of ordinary PowerPoint presentations. The design is also slightly improved by replacing the distracting flash of metal around the controls with a high-contrast black color.

Any downsides? The price point is significantly higher, so you should think about whether the convenience of the built-in memory is worth it. One of the great features of the device is that the USB dongle slides right in when it's not in use. Some people keep a USB thumbdrive on them at all times. If you do, and if the computers you're going to be presenting on are sure to have 2 open USB ports, then you could save yourself a few bucks with the older model. But if you enjoy having everything in one single, simple package, then the premium is well worth it.

I love well designed products that have a clear functional target and meet it. This item does that. It is so hard sometimes for designers and marketers to keep from throwing extras that end up cluttering up the usefulness of something. This presentation tool is simple, elegant, and does what it needs to do very well.

Simple: When I am walking a group through a presentation, the last thing I want is to fumble finger some complicated remote. I've got my mind on a million other things and want SIMPLE technology that WORKS. From trying this with my laptop, the install was simple (plug in the USB receiver), the response is quick, and the buttons are obvious (other than the button that looks like a stop which is actually a black screen, but use this once and you got it). Simple.

Elegant: Each piece of functional design on this device is well done. Having on-board memory with the USB receiver is smart thinking. Storing the receiver in the device and at the same time, using that as a means to toggle the device on and off is clean, well thought out design. The tactile feel and heft just feels good.

Ergonomic: 4 buttons, each with a solid use to a presenter: forward, back, laser, and screen blank is all that is needed and is all that is present. Nice. As someone who does loads of presentations, that's all you need until you get into the realm of an air mouse Logitech MX Air Rechargeable Cordless Air Mouse). I have large hands and don't want something the size of a car remote, this device feels comfortable in my hands without being too large and clunky.

The Bad:

So, why the 3 stars? There is just no getting around the price of this item. At the time of the review, the price is way too high. Price it around $35 (less than half the current price) and many people would be looking at this. A few more dollars over the current price and you have an air mouse, much more functionality. Heck, you can get a Kensington mouse with similar wireless functionality for presentations (no memory though) that is less than half the price... Kensington SlimBlade Presenter Mouse, Wireless Mouse and Presenter in One (Ice Blue) K72283US. Oh, and the manual is just horrible. Trying to put all the languages after each other is so bad, confusing, and useless that I am astounded that anyone at Kensington agreed to print it. Thankfully the manual is not a reflection of their product.

So, while I would like to shake the hands of the design team, either they put way too expensive components in this device or the pricing team for Kensington bumped their heads one too many times. No way does the current price point make sense.

When I received the Kensington Wireless Presenter, I was hoping it would help me with my Powerpoint Presentations which I give to my students. I'm an elementary school librarian, and often have to sit desk-bound behind the children while they watch the screen and instruct them while they are facing away from me. This "wireless presenter" (which is simply a combined remote control/laser pointer) is very handy in allowing me to stand in front of the children, by the screen and point and click my way through Powerpoint presentations without having to stand by the computer. Simply load the presentation onto the flash-drive which is included, start the presentation from the flash-drive, and then direct it forward or back using the remote. The cost for this presenter is the sticking point, $75 my computer specialist here at school bought several wireless mouses (with laser pointers) for teachers at her other school for a mere $45, and it not only could do everything this remote could do, it also was a mouse for the computer. Cheaper, and more useful all around. The instructions included are next to useless (in eleven different languages!) but it's a simple device, and even computer novices should have little trouble in figuring it out.

When I first got the presenter it was great. Then the day I needed it for a presentation (after testing it the day before), it stopped working. Called Kensington to have them send a replacement. After waiting over a month, the new one arrived and was DOA. Called again to have it replaced and never received the replacement. Just called back after waiting 2 months and they send they will send another one. Last Kensington product I'll ever purchase.

I ordered this product in the 11th hour and Amazon came thru with a Saturday morning delivery. Great service! Having ordered a different pointer, I found the "other" one to be small, and it would rotate in my hand so it was difficult to use. This pointer feels great in my hand. I am able to hang on to it, and can easily find the presentation buttons without having to look down at the pointer. Very comfortable to hold.

I received complaints from attendees regarding the quality of the laser. It's not bright or bold enough for attendees to immediately find where I am pointing on my presentation. Dissapointment.

While I like the idea of the USB 1 GB Memory stick which inserts into the base for storage and turning OFF the pointer, it is NOT a feature I ended up liking. In four days I went thru 4 batteries (2-AA batteries each). They say the batteries should last a year. To get the stick out of the base, you must push in, for it to pop out. While the pointer was in my briefcase, the stick released, causing the batteries to be activated. I now have to take out the batteries after every presentation to ensure the life of my batteries. UGH! What a time stealer.

Come on Kensington, step up and make these minimal improvements and you would have an outstanding pointer.

The reason I bought this translator is it gives the impression that you get a English/Spanish dictionary for download on your computer, hence the name "Desktop". While you do get a usb cable with the device, you DO NOT get the downloadable dictionary with it as implied!!! You must order directly from Franklin, not Amazon if you want this valuable teaching tool. It will cost you more ordering directly from Franklin, but having the English/Spanish dictionary to practice your vocabulary with is well worth a few extra dollars if this is your reason for buying this device. Overall all it is a nice little pocket size device, it is NOT a large desktop translator as one might get that impression from the add. A decent price for what you get. Works well.

I thought applying this screen protector was going to be easier than it was, particularly because I'm quite tech savvy. I read several product reviews before purchasing it and decided to follow the recommendations of those who had given several stars to the product: follow the instructions, and watch the video (which I did).

First of all, the package does not say where to find the instructional video. I first went to HHI's website, which told me the instructional video was on YouTube. I went to HHI's YouTube account, but I did not find a video about this item--only one about applying a screen protector to an iPad (which I guess would serve the same purpose). I wanted a more specific video, so I found one from "screenprotectortv" on YouTube, which was very useful. The instructor makes the application look much easier (and quicker) than it really is.

This screen protector is measured so perfectly to fit the Kindle Fire that you have to be very careful when applying it. I had to redo it several times. Getting the air bubbles out is easy, but removing the specks of dust from underneath the screen protector is not so simple. (There is another video from "screenprotectortv" about this problem.)

Application took me about 30+ minutes, when I expected it to take 5. You MUST be patient because applying this screen protector can easily cause you to become frustrated.

Does it help with glare? YES

Does it help with fingerprints? YES

I won't discourage anyone from buying this product. It is up to you if you want to spend that much time on the application. The good thing is: You can take the screen protector off as many times as you want, and it's still useable. Good luck! Keep the little cloth that comes in the package, as you can use it to clean the screen from time to time.

I would have to agree with these reviewers.....anti glare feature really is amazing. When using my kindle outdoors ....no glares....no hiding under my hands....no tilting the tablet to avoid any glares and risk dropping it. It was very easy to install...made sure there were noo dusts or lints by useing some scotch tape, then folowed the simple instructions that it came with and then was done in about 1 to 2 mins. So glad these anti glare screen protectors exist because i most work with my kindle fire outside. Great product'

There are other similar products that cost more but work the same way. I found the instructions easy to understand and follow. As long as you clean your screen first, no problems. In fact, it was quick and easy. I am happy with the results. The anti-glare effect was instantly notable. I don't know if it's necessary for screen protection, but I recommend it for the anti-glare alone.

This is a three layer laminate. You remove the bottom layer to expose the sticky side and apply that to the kindle. The stiff top layer is removed after application (remove very slowly). I found it impossible to apply without bubbles. Removing the first layer turns it into a static magnet, attracting dust. Each dust particle causes a bubble that is impossible to remove. Should be done in a PRISTINE environment. Removing the top layer caused the sticky layer to peel off the kindle, leaving more bubbles when reapplied. Consider buying a three pack to allow for practice, but that may be a gamble. The matte finish reduces glare, but changes texture of surface. Not a problem for me, but apparently for some.

I was on the verge of returning the Kindle Fire due to serious glare problems. Installing this completely changed my attitude. Installation takes attention but is pretty easy. I have never installed any screen covers before and managed to have success using their instructions plus the tip to have tape on hand in case a small piece of lint or fleck of something was missed during the pre-clean. The lint will stick to the tape and come up pretty easily.

Antiglare is a tradeoff between having a totally crisp screen (but a mirror for all lights & images) and having a slightly speckled screen that shows just the screen images and nothing more. My eyes adjusted to the speckles and I appreciate the lack of glare. Some people may prefer the opposite though. If glare bothers you enough to want to get rid of the Fire, I expect you will love this product as I do.

I bought this at Gefen support's recommendation, when the Gefen product I had bought previously could not do what I bought it to do. My goal was to to connect a PC via DVI to a 27" iMac via Mini Display Port, so that I could use my iMac to display signals from the PC or the iMac by choice, eliminating the need for a separate PC monitor. Admittedly, it never says it can do that in the marketing text, but the Gefen tech support rep assured me that it would do it. Alas, it cannot. Funny enough, Gefen is often recommend due to their "great tech support", but on the two Gefen products I have owned, their tech support has proven not to understand the product and what it can and can't do. They're quick with an answer, I must say. But the answers need to be right for the support to be great in my opinion. I think that I'm done with Gefen products now.

While no replacement for a full sized and featured keyboard, this little HiRO has saved the day more times than I can count.

Much like any other tool, the one you have with you is worth far more than the one you left in the car, it is this portability that makes it shine.

Plugging in the USB adapter requires no drivers on the OS side, is just recognizes the interface and goes, a Godsend for anyone working on PoS terminals or somewhat locked-down PCs.

I would advise keeping a close eye on the USB adapter though, the storage space in the rear of the HiRO is convenient, but not foolproof.

This was my third phone case for the same phone that I ordered from Amazon. The other two lasted about a month apiece. I have to say this was my favorite. The phone looked magnificent when you first look at the phone in the case. The metallic color was superb but when I got the case my phone would not fit the case. I spent several minutes trying to close the case and it simply would not close. I put the case to the side for a while and I tried again later and it finally fit for some strange reason. This product was advertised as being for the Archos 80 9g which it is not. It is for an 8x10 tablet such as the iPad. With this case my Archos slid all over the place. I think it said "universal" case for up to 8x10 in the fine print, but then it shouldn't be "targeted" for my device. If you are looking for a snug fit (which you should) for your Archos 80 g9 tablet, look elsewhere because this does not fit.

Well worth the money. What a cool mini keyboard, about the size of one on the Droid 2. Easy to link up to the tablet via bluetooth. The stylus is outstanding. The case is durable but smells like everything else from China....simple solution spray with some Fabreze and let it air out. Great screen wiper on the other end of the mini brush. Put the screen protector on in the bathroom after running a hot shower (gets rid of dust) helps prevent dust and bubbles on installation.

This capacitive stylus works really well! Of course, the coolest feature of the Targus '2 in 1' (and worth the extra $10) is that the other end is a convenient ball point pen that uses standard Parker ball point refills.

PROS:

The stylus has a soft, durable rubber tip that won't scratch the screen (I prefer to use my iPad without any screen protector). Durability is not an issue ... this stylus is well made!

The yielding rubber tip is comfortable to use with the iPad's capacitive touch surface. I quickly adjusted to writing and doing simple drawings with this stylus.

Although the iPad is a touch screen device, using the stylus in other apps certainly helps in keeping the screen smudge-free!

I use my stylus to play the iPad version of the word game 'Boggle'. I can link the 'Boggle' words much faster with the stylus instead of swiping the screen by hand! :))

In cold weather, using my iPad or iPod Touch screen becomes a problem. Unless I am wearing capacitive touch screen gloves, then I must first remove my regular gloves to use the Touch Screen. The solution? Keep my regular gloves on and use my stylus :))

The stylus ball point pen (on the opposite end) uses easy to find and affordable standard Parker ball point refills.

The Black Targus '2 in 1' Stylus has a nice classic appearance. It also has a comfortable 'weighty feel' for writing whether its using the ball point pen on conventional paper or the stylus on a capacitive screen.

CONS:

Measuring just about 5 inches, I find the stylus a bit too short. Add another half to one inch and this would be the perfect capacitive stylus! Despite this shortcoming (pun intended LOL), this Targus '2 in 1' Stylus and pen is a most useful product design!

A cover/cap would definitely protect the stylus rubber tip, especially if you store your stylus in your bag! I use the handy pocket clip so, for me, the absence of a stylus tip cover is not an issue.

NOTE: If all you need is a stylus (without the ball point pen) then I recommend the Targus Stylus.

The stylus is beautifully designed and very well made, and feels great in your hand -until you start using it. It's too short for most people, but that's actually the least of its problems. The stylus doubles as a standard pen, with a removable cap. I would have preferred some sort of retractable pen, but I knew I was getting a cap, and I can't complain about that. However, the cap does not fit on the back of the stylus. When you remove the cap to use the pen, you have to either hold it, or put it down and risk losing it. And, although the cap has a pocket clip, the clip is so tight it takes two hands to clip the pen to a shirt pocket (or anything else). Considering what this stylus cost, I expected something close to perfection. It's too nice to return, but it is a disappointment.

I have tried a number of options for using a stylus on my iPad and all have been disappointing. The Pogo stylus models all feel like using a Q-tip as an input device. However, the Targus stylus feels so smooth with it's soft rubber tip. The iPad is just as responsive to this stylus as it is to a human finger. One thing I was impressed with was the weight of the pen, it feels perfectly weighted and balanced in hand. You will not have to worry about scratches. Styluses are not cheap and I was getting very tired I wasting money on disappointments. Finally, I found a winner! If you are impatient like me then you can find this stylus/pen at BestBuy for $30.00 or the strictly stylus model for $20.00.

This full-size portable keyboard from Belkin has a very clever design. The keyboard is broken into three sections -and the middle section rises up when the outer two sections are spread apart. They then click together and remain rigid -which is great for typing on one's lap like a notebook PC.

There's a full row of numbers across the top. And the space bar is unbroken (unlike the Palm Ultrathin keyboard which splits the space bar into two). The only gripe I have with the keyboard layout is the right shift key, which is very small and out to the right (just beyond the up/down and left/right navigation keys), which I sometimes miss-hit when I'm typing very quickly.

The unit is very compact when completely folded. It's not quite as thin (or as cool looking) as the new Palm Ultrathin keyboard, but it is much sleeker than the original Palm keyboard (which now seems clunky by comparison).

If you're looking for one keyboard to do it all -have a real row of numbers and be extremely portable this unit from Belkin is a very good choice!

I just received this keyboard for my palm t3 and it works great. however, there is just 1 issue that would make this perfect, at least for me. The spacebar could have been more centered than it's now. looking at the keyboard, there is really no reason why the "alt" key needs to be on the right of space bar, which is pushing the spacebar towards the left. if they had just put the "alt" key to the left, it would have been perfect as i noticed that tapping on the spacebar on the extreme right edge (due to the fact that it's left bias and I'm using my right thumb) sometimes misses the actual space character.

If any of you value your sanity or life, stay AWAY!! I got this for Christmas. I was happy because my friend had one and it worked fine for him. Lucky for him, not for me. It didn't work with the drivers that came with it. I had to download the driver from Belkin's site to get it to even recognize that there was a keyboard there. Now, whenever I press a button once, it fills the entire screen with that key. WITH ONLY ONE PRESS. I figured that I might be missing something so I contacted their technical support. A week later I got an email saying I should just download the drivers from the site and not use the one that came with it. They won't take it back or anything, if I ever meet the president of Belkin.......

I have had the Jornada 720 for approximately 10 years and find it to be user friendly and light weight. I use it for Trade Shows. I do scheduling into Outlook and use the Word Docs for outlines of product and notes and tasks to make certain I have covered all my categories of merchandise to be ordered. It syncs easily with my PC. Great capacity for such a small unit and it has a full keyboard.

Would really like to see it upgraded to a wireless capacity for email and on the go searches.

This card is nothing more than a MultiMediaCard (MMC). There are many options out there for purchasing MMC. Also, SecureDigital (SD) cards are fully compliant with the Palm Pilots for which this memory card is being marketed. At the time of writing this review, this was among the most expensive of comparable cards. In fact, yesterday at a local retailer I saw a 512MB (4x the capacity) for five dollars more.

So my advice is that you do purchase expansion cards to take full advantage of the power of your Palm. I have purchased many and am able to use my Palm as an MP3 player (using RealOne), a video player (using Kinoma), an atlas (using Mapopolis) and a video game system (using PalmOne Sega Classic cards and downloaded games) all at the same time. Do buy SD or MMC cards to expand, but I would encourage you to comparison shop, looking for better prices.

This is a smooth plastic protector. Feels like you're touching the actual glass screen, unlike some companies that try to market mirrored or tinted or special texture features. Only warning is to be wary of lint as you put it on, because the plastic is not forgiving and will leave a bubble. I just used slightly soapy water to rinse and reapply. If that doesnt work, just use another one of the films. Love that this is a multipack. Also the cuts are very well placed, seems perfect.

I was very pleased with this product. First, it perfectly fit the screen of my Asus Transformer TF300. Second, I thought the quality of the film was better than other screen protectors I have used in the past. It had a more substantial feel to it, and once installed the screen looked great. (Note that this is not an anti-glare product. You get the same reflection off this film that you would off the unprotected tablet screen. Personally it doesn't bother me as I can almost always find a view angle where glare is not a problem.) Finally, the installation of this film was easier than any other screen protector I have worked with. I have installed other brands of screen protectors on other tablets and phones. This one went on the first try with no problems. There were a couple of small bubbles around the edge of the screen that were easily smoothed out with the enclosed flat edge card, and they have't come back. The installation instructions come with a link to an online movie that demonstrates the process. My tip: Do the installation in your bathroom. Run the shower for awhile first. The humidity from the hot water will reduce the amount of dust in the air. Clean your screen thoroughly and then install the film.

The case itself is a good case, but when you stand it up on its side it barely stays up, and when it does you have to be practically laying down to see the screen. The stylus is a POS and not even worth using. The screen protector came a little bent and never fit to my tablet the correct way.

It keeps my Kindle Fire safe and covered. It's well-made and pretty good quality, aesthetically speaking. It's definitely worth the money, and I like it quite a bit. I basically just needed a cover to keep dust off of my Kindle. It serves no other protection purpose, however.

One complaint about the design: It does not function well as a stand. It doesn't allow the Kindle to sit upright at all, as it shows in the picture. Other than that, I like the case overall and it's a great value for the product.

So you finally bought that new 5or 6-megapixel digital camera and now you have a 512MB or 1GB compact flash card to hold all those big files. Then you know that USB 1.1 is incredibly slow for transferring files, whether you are hooking the camera directly to your computer's USB port, or using a USB 1.1 card reader.

USB 1.1 has a maximum transfer rate of 1.5 MB/sec, but in real-life tests using my Lexar 512MB 40X compact flash card (one of the fastest currently on the market), the data transfer rate was only 0.6MB/sec. However, with the Sandisk ImageMate's USB 2.0 connection, the transfer rate for the same Lexar card was 3.2MB/sec (about 5 times faster).

This tiny (smaller than a deck of playing cards) USB 2.0 compact flash reader isn't for everyone, however. First, you must have USB 2.0 capability in your computer--something the vast majority of computers don't have. If your computer doesn't, the reader will still work, but only at the slower USB 1.1 speed. However, you can buy a USB 2.0 card to give your computer the capability (Amazon sells a very inexpensive one from Iogear, which I bought for my computer).

Second, you need a relatively fast compact flash card. Just like CD burners, compact flash cards have a maximum speed of their own (40X is approximately 6 MB/sec). If you have an old 4X or 8X compact flash card, then you probably won't see any improvement with this card reader compared to USB 1.1.

This Compact Flash reader does just what it says, and it does it nicely. It is built well and is very light, and the price can't be beat. It is a USB 2.0 connection (backward compatible with USB 1.1) and I've had good experiences with the speed of data transfer.

I had an old Pocket PC for years but recently had to get rid of. However, in the Pocket PC I had a Compact Flash Card that was still in working condition and I wanted to keep it. Purchasing this product allowed me to take the old data off of it and even use it as an extra storage device (like another disk drive).

In addition, I recently bought a Canon Elph camera (which uses Compact Flash cards) and I wanted the ability to transfer data to my computer WITHOUT using my camera. This was a very important reason for my getting this item. I can now take out a Flash card and send the pictures to my computer even though my camera is low on batteries, or is not available.

It is a pretty simple item, but it does have a couple of minor features. First there are 4 rubber circular pads (about the size of dimes) on the bottom of the reader. This helps prevent it from slipping on a table. (This is important because the reader is so light that the USB cable can curl and push the item around).

Second, there is a little green light (on the top) which comes on whenever you have media inserted. This is good because you can tell if you've inserted it correctly.

If you have a digital camera that uses CompactFlash memory cards, this is a must-have accessory. Instead of plugging in your camera directly and draining precious battery life, simply take the CF card from the camera and put it in one of these. Use that battery life to shoot more pictures! If you're using Windows 2000 or XP (I can't comment on Mac compatibility, not having tried it myself), it will be detected and configured automatically. No need to install any special software either; just use it like any other disk. Oh, and even if your system doesn't have USB 2.0 ports--mine doesn't, unfortunately--it will still work with older USB 1.1 ports. Just be prepared to wait slightly longer for transfers.

Oh, and if you take the reader and a CF card with you (it's small enough to pocket quickly), it makes for quick, easy, high-capacity portable storage.

Update: I've also had a chance to test this in Linux, and it works perfectly there. Just make sure to compile USB Mass Storage Support into your kernel or as a module.

I recently got a Nikon D70 digital SLR and was having to transfer large amounts of files to my computer. As in, 512MB to 1GB. I only shoot in RAW so they fill up. Anyway, transferring 512MB from the camera (which was USB1 speed) took quite a long time, I think it was maybe like 10 minutes or even more to do 512MB.

With this Sandisk card reader, it's much faster, taking more like one minute. It looks snazzy too; more well-made than the piece of crap off-brand my friend got free with a camera that he bought (and faster). There aren't a lot of features to have on something like this but it does have a nice green light that comes on while a card is inserted.

On Windows XP, no installation of any sort was needed; I just plugged it in and instantly I had an extra removable drive visible in My Computer, which I then setup to automatically open in an explorer window whenever a CF card is inserted. Pretty easy.

For reference, I am using Sandisk Ultra II CF cards with it.

I bought this reader after having some problems with other readers on my win98se op system. The install was seamless, and everything works perfectly.
