I bought this remote to make PowerPoint presentations and I have to say I am pretty satisfied with the purchase. It does what it claims, installation was painless, just insert the transmitter into USB port and WinXP can recognize the device. I haven't tested the maximum operating distance, but I never experienced a problem with the laptop not responding to my actions. Just a couple things I would like to mention that I feel need improvement.

First, it's difficult to turn on the laser pointer. You need to press one button and then hold two buttons together and wait for 10 seconds. And the same you would like to turn it off. I cannot really understand if such complexity is really necessary.

Second, the battery used is the round flat one, like the one in the watches, just bigger. You can find it online, but not in the convenience store. I would rather them use a standard one.

Otherwise, I think for the money that is the best you can do. Comparable Logitech model is probably better, but costs $100 more at the time of this review.

I do presentations all the time. Tired of my old remote, I bought one of each of the major brands to compare them: Interlink, Atek, Logitech, Gyro, ...

By far this is my favorite remote. The key features are

1. Size: small enough to fit easily in your pocket

2. Built in laser pointer

3. Mouse controls: thumb pad, plus 2 buttons

4. Scroll wheel.

The last feature -the scroll wheel -is hard to find in many remotes. I really like using the scroll wheel to flip rapidly through a presentation. That feature sets this remote apart for me.

All in all, a very nice product for a very reasonable price.

I've tried a number of remotes, some of which are more expensive. This one has worked the best for me. For a point of reference, the last one I used (and returned) was the Logitech Multimedia Presenter w/ trackball; unconventional start procedure and sloooooowwwww trackball that didn't move all that freely.

Anyway, back to the point(er). I think the Keyspan is laid out quite well. Advancing slides can be done using either the wheel or the advance button. The mouse is very responsive w/ good speed and has an automatic slow-down next to buttons (nice for those w/o much dexterity or new to the one-finger operation).

The laser wasn't as tough for me as some of the other reviewers. Just depress one button while depressing another one for 3-4 seconds and voila. The laser option is kinda moot for me though since using a laser on something like a powerpoint presentation will generally not yield good results anyway; the laser will always get overpowered by the slide. If you use a laser on something like a big powerpoint on a screen, you can imagine just how ineffective it would be. That is why I use the mouse pointer when highlighting things I'm talking about on a particular slide. And that is why the nice speed and responsiveness of the mouse pad is a plus.

Bottom line: No complaints from me, has worked like a charm so far, and is a good buy imo.

UPDATE: The remote continues to work w/o problems. Used it for the entire school year (teach at a university and use powerpoint incessantly). The only add-on that you might want to get is an extension for the receiver if line-of-sight is an issue; I suggest a retractable cord so that you can stay as portable as possible. Besides that, the remote itself has proven to be solidly constructed and has held up quite well.

UPDATE #2: A couple years later and things are still hunky-dory w/ the remote. Works like a charm. Use it about 10 hours a week, so got some good mileage on it, and still everything is just fine. If you do get one, I still would suggest a USB extension cord; easier to hook up to a computer, especially if the port is on the back or it's one of those tight ones at an angle and you might want to use the other usb port (like on many of the Dell's).

UPDATE #3: Well, we're now looking at nearly 5 years since I wrote my initial review. Nothing has changed. This thing is still working lights out and hasn't given me any problems. I still look at new stuff out there (gadget guy), but still nothing compares yet. Even bought a Swiss Gear one 'cause it was dirt cheap and had the dongle that fit into the remote when not in use. But, couldn't compare. This thing is one of those 'classic' input devices that you'll keep forever if you try it (kinda like the logitech trackman wheel is for me as a mouse).

I've given up using this product because it is just not consistent enough. It will work well for short periods, but then I have to click the button repeatedly for a slide to move forward. Sometimes only every third click will work, which is very annoying when you are standing in front of an audience and talking about what is about to appear. This has happened in several talks, so I doubt it is anything to do with RF fields in particular environments. Obviously, the product is not designed with a high-reliability wireless protocol.

Other problems are the complex method for turning on the laser pointer, the rather low brightness of the laser pointer, and the non-standard choice of battery. Some things are very nice, such as the small travel size and weight and the fact that absolutely no setup is required (one of the only true plug-and-play products I've seen). Its too bad that this was taken to market without getting all the details right.

I first heard about this product from another instructor at the school that I work at. After trying it once, I immediately went out and bought it.

I used it for one semester and experienced some of the same problems that others have; draining the battery in the carrying case and difficulty with the laser pointer. Now, after only one semester (16 weeks) the back button on the front and side is not working at all.

I sent an e-mail to Keyspan, but have yet to hear a response. If this is the type of service and performance we can expect from them, then who is their competitor? My initial thought was to buy another one, but I don't want to give money to a company that isn't going to back up their product.

I love the product and the idea, it was great when it worked, but I don't think that I will be buying any future Keyspan products because of the lack of customer support and the short life span of a workable product.

I received this as a gift and I have to say this is prob the best gift I ever received. I bought a used car a year ago and after I bought it I realized that where they installed the cd player they had to take out the cigarette lighter/car charging station. You wouldn't think you'd need this for so much. I couldn't use my GPS for long trips, if my cell died I had to wait till I got home, and my MP3 player was a big no-no since it used a lot of battery life. This little thing charges all of that plus my childrens 3ds and PSP. I even use it in my house to save on the electric bill. It might not be a big money saver but it does help and I figure if I'm ever lost or stuck on a deserted island my MP3 player will always be charged.

The Mini Charging Station works out great for me and is just what I wanted. It says it is for up to 2 devices, but it is actually up to 3 or more devices. There are 3 levels, with the first 2 levels having discrete charger openings on the middle bottom of their floors. The top level has 2 discrete charger openings, to the front on each side. This unit is made of wood, painted black, with black felt material lining the inside compartment portions of the charging station. The back of the unit is a panel which opens to hold your various chargers, and the unit comes with an extension cord you can use. The back panel is hinged on the bottom, kept closed via magnets, and has 3 different openings (1 top, and 2 on each side), with which you can run cords into. Altogether, the charging station is sturdy, looks good, and seems to be a quality build. The dimensions of the unit are approximately 7 3/4" D X 5 3/4" W X 4 5/8" H.

This thing is cheaply made and broke after a few weeks.Its just cardboard with some fabric over it. Dont bother purchasing

This charger is much smaller than I imagined it. I would have sent it back but the restocking fee and return postage would have made that too expensive and thus not worthwhile. The main problem was that the extension cord supplied (which I needed) would not fit into the space provided within the charger section with my electronic device. This negated my getting any benefit from this type of charging station.

Purchased from Amazon but through one of their dealers.

This decal is cute and fits the cover decently but there are a few flaws. The main cover has a circle cut out for the chrome logo but it is in the wrong spot. No matter which way you turn it, it will be wrong. Second, it comes with a small decal to place over the face of the black charger part and the hole to go over the green "on" light is also in the wrong spot. I used an exact o knife to cut it in the right spot and it turned out OK but there is still the small square of nothing, no biggie. Lastly, The decal to put in the mouse pad and keyboard area of the lap top is just all kinds of silly. I still haven't put it on because I need to take the exact o knife to it as well. Over all it isn't a crappy sticker-like decal as I expected. It definitely should be considered for a price reduction though. Over all, I like it and it really was more for decoration than protection for me.

My girlfriend has had the Sony e-reader touch pocket edition for a year and a half, and we've gone through no less than 5 covers for this sucker. Every time we buy online, we get a cover that doesn't even remotely fit. The last cover was some green plastic/silicon sleeve that fit width-wise, but had a good 2 inches of extra length, which she stuffed with a few klenex.

Hesitent, i purchased this one, based on the reviews. The shipping was ridiculous, took well over a month, and the company was a pain to deal with, but the product is fantastic.

The leather is nice, it fits perfectly with this model e-reader, and the closure is nice and secure.

I highly recomend, as long as you don't have to deal with the chinese company that shipped to me. Love it. A major deal.

I just bought this case. It looks more like a black and white checkerboard than carbon fiber. The case falls off and doesn't snap. The case is also not rubberized.

It's a case. You get what you pay for. I should have taken the fake reviews that rated this a a good product as a warning.

I have an Ipad and an Iconia tablet, sometimes the Iconia will let me use a hard stylus to draw. I thought these Treo styluses would be perfect, but they won't work on the Iconia or the Ipad. It was worth a shot to me anyway! The price on these is great (I paid something like $5 for three) and they have a pen inside them! If my Palm wasn't about 100 years old these would be great for me.

Top plastic tip of the old stylus broke. This replacement set is a good value, but it is too loose to stay in its holder and does not have a snug fit in its holder. Stylus slides out if the Treo is turned upside down.

The battery I received from the seller Battery.Trade is not made by the original manufacturer HP; it is made by a little-known outfit called Cameron Sino, probably overseas, but it fits my HP iPAQ H1945 perfectly and, after a number of cycles of charging and discharging, it starts to last just as long. The price is very reasonable, compared to what HP would have charged, if it is available at all. The shipping charge is a tad high, but it is shipped from abroad. Buyers should allow extra time for delivery. Overall, it is a good buy.

Update: My battery died after a mere 10 months. Li-ion batteries should last much longer than that. I don't recommend this battery to Amazon shoppers.

I picked up this screen protector to add to my new Fire as soon as I received it.

I have used many screen protectors as well as skins on appliances of various sizes in the past and this one is a disappointment.

The box comes with 3 screen protectors, 2 wipe clothes and a "squeegee" (that's how they call that little plastic card?).

PROS:

I can see only one: the clarity is very good. When it is well applied and provided there is no direct light shining onto the screen, you see through the protector just as if it weren't there.

CONS:

First, the installation is not as easy as some other screen protectors I have used:

Of course, I proceeded in bright light, slowly and after thoroughly cleaning the screen with the provided clothes. The screen protector is thicker and stiffer than most I have used before. I managed to smooth away the few air bubbles that formed during the application within a few minutes and by applying quite a bit of outward pressure. However, one little bubble resisted: I realized it had the tiniest speck of dust in its center and there was no way to remove it. So I lifted the screen and delicately tried to remove it with the end of twizzers I had thoroughly cleaned. Well, that made everything worse: a few more specks, not really visible to the naked eye, found their way under the screen protector (which is sticky and has a lot of static). It was so bad I had to discard the protector and use a new one!

Secondly, and as mentioned by the other reviewer of this item, the size of the protector is off by a tiny bit: just enough to make a crease in which dirt can gather...

Finally, and that's the deal breaker for me, this screen protector is a finger print magnet! It shows smudges and even small taps at least as much as the Fire screen, if not more! If you combine this with the very clear glossy finish, it makes it really hard to see some images in brighter light, natural or artificial.

Overall, I am not recommending this product and I will buy a different one as soon as another Fire screen protector gets some good users reviews.

UPDATE 11/18: After using the screen protector for the 3 days I have had my Kindle, I can confirm that I don't care for this product and will be replacing it. That tiny crease around the edges due to the slightly small size catches all the crumbs and dirties from my 2 yr-old paws (who loves the Kindle Fire by the way!). In addition, it doesn't help at all with the glare. I will be changing the protector soon.

I have added a picture to show the issues I am reporting.

Also, I have noticed that the price has gone up in $1 increments each day since the release of the product... Just FYI: I paid $8.95 for it.

This is one of the better screen protectors that I've bought.

It has very nice packaging to keep lint and dust from entering. When you are installing the film it produces little air bubbles. You should install it under a light, like the instruction mentions because there may be small dust particles that enter under the film. This will leave small little bubbles after it is done. This is not the product's fault. The little particles floats everywhere in the air. A way that I fixed this is to smudge a little water on the screen and use the pad that was given to clean the screen. Then you can apply the film. This should remove most of the dust particles. I was able to successfully apply the film without any bubbles and not particles under the film. Great product!

I am impressed with the quality of this protector, it applied easily, protects well and is crystal clear. For those that say there is a huge gap on the sides, the gap is, at most a tenth of an inch, and it actually makes it easier to apply, without any wiggle room protectors can be much more difficult to apply. If you want to make sure it goes on well, run a shower for a few minutes in the bathroom and then apply it, making sure to clean the screen first with the soft cloth and use some compressed air to make sure. The only negative I have is fingerprints and smudges show up easily, but easily fixed with a wipe. You also get 3 in each pack, which is nice in case you do mess up applying one, or need to send the device in for repair or replacement.

This case is everything I expected and more! Has plenty of room for all the accessories, dvd drive, mouse, both chargers, all the cables, everything, and the shoulder strap is just about the only one I've ever run across that is actually as non-slip as it says it is! All in all I think I got lucky, since I didn't have a lot of experience with laptops and notebooks before this, so this purchase was somewhat of a shot in the dark, and after talking with my Sons who do know a lot about them, I couldn't have done better!

My Asus 1015PEM netbook and the power cord fit well in the main compartment. The outer pocket will easily hold an external DVD player and a mouse. The case is big enough so the items fit well without bulging. If extra padding is wanted, one can also put the netbook inside a neoprene sleve and put that inside the rooCASE.

Although this rooCASE says it is for the Toshiba netbook, the one that specifies the Asus netbook has exactly the same dimensions, so looks to be the same case.

Chapin Premier Poly Sprayer

My husband cuts grass for a living on the side of his main job. He has used every sprayer on the market from the big box stores. None of them lasted. He loves these sprayers and has them in two sizes. Hasn't had to replace one yet and has owned them for at least 3 years!

I expect I'll be using this sprayer for many years. It's commercial grade in every respect. Heavy duty and very well made. Spray options are somewhat coarse compared to other sprayers I have. Oh, I have never seen a sprayer of this grade or quality in the garden or hardware stores.

I have only used this sprayer twice, but so far I am very impressed. Everything about it looks and feels quality-made. I was quite honestly expecting less, but from the heavy duty hose and comfortable rubber coated handle (doesn't feel like a toddler toy) to the smooth and solid pump action, this thing feels as if was made to last! I didn't really need an all metal unit so this model works perfectly for me, and the price was really good considering the quality. Spray wand has a removable angled end which has already proved itself useful. The pump unit tightens securely without needing a pipe wrench and removes with minimal effort. The relief valve is also handy.

I used to spend as much (or more) on sprayers from home improvement stores, and they typically lasted about one season. The last one was so cheesy that I couldn't wait until it stopped working just to throw it out (the pump leaked air no matter how much I tightened it and then it was nearly impossible to remove, handle leaked and so on...). I ordered this sprayer due to it's 3 gallon size and previous experience with Chapin sprayers. All the parts are good quality. The long wand and tubing are helpful in reaching areas without having to actually walk all the way over to them. However, the sealing surface on the top of the tank is not flat. I had issues with getting a good seal and had to clean up the sealing surface with a knife. It still requires a very tight cap to make it seal. Getting the cap off is a chore because there is nothing to hang on to so you can get some leverage to get it off. I don't really like to bear hug a tank that may have herbicide residue on it. I would give this 5 stars, if they had paid more attention to the sealing surface and put some grab points on the tank.

I have had several sprayers that quit working after one or two times. I also had to pump them often. This sprayer is very easy to use. and it is a good size. I used the flat spray nozzle on my patio to get rid of moss. It did a better job than I expected!

Both products are simple to use and work very. The slow version MJ-1 is a serious tool to keep a computer awake and does not interfer with normal operation. The fast one MJ-2 is good for a joke. While it will also keep the computer awake it moves the mouse so much that you cannot use the computer at the same time the fast one is active.

This product does exactly what it says. You put it in the USB port and it moves the mouse around on the screen very very quickly. Each movement is probably about 75 pixels in a random direction and the mouse pointer jumps from position to position rather than moving from one to another.

If you are getting this item to play a prank on someone, it is great. If you are getting it to keep your computer from going to sleep and/or locking due to inactivity, you would probably be better off using the slow version. The slow version you can leave in the USB port the entire time and you will never notice as it moves the mouse 1 pixel at a time and about once every 15-20 seconds.

I was going to buy the slow mouse jiggler, but read a review that it will not move enough to keep your IM Communicator set at Green = Available. I purchased the fast version and it does the trick. The shipping was quick and affordable. I am remoteing into a work location desktop from a home computer, and the jiggler still keeps me active. Normally my IM will go half Green and half Yellow (Away) after 5 minutes. After 10 minutes, the entire icon goes to Yellow = Away. I put the jiggler on for an hour, and the icon stayed as Green.

To say this light is bright is an understatement. I first purchased the LED Lenser P5R because of its small size, bright light, and adjustable beam. The P5R and M7R have about the same brightness but there is a big duration difference. The light brightness in both is controlled by a computer chip for longer battery life. In the P5R the brightness reduces to about 15% after 15-20 minutes. Still pretty bright. The M7R maintains full power for about 50 minutes then gradually reduces. With either if you turn it off then back on you're back to full brightness. I don't bother with the different programmed modes for the light except for full power, dimmed, and strobe. I use the dimmed because in close quarters the light can be just TOO bright. I just use the strobe to mess with people. You have to play with it to figure out how to change the modes but once you get the hang of it they are simple to change. The light is fairly light but made of sturdy aluminum. It would be nice to have a roll preventative ring on it. I think one can be purchased. The recharger is simple to use with a light that glows red to show it's charging or green to show it's charged. It comes with a lanyard, belt clip and a case that's so nice it probably added $10 to the cost. The only real drawback is that the light is only weather resistant. Can't use this for night snorkeling like I did with my mini-mag lights. I have no regrets about my purchase of this light.

This is a great little light. I carry it every day for work. The only two functions I use are the high and low settings,which are easily selected. The high setting is so bright I have to turn it to low when using it at close range or it washes everything out(ie reading people's IDs). The adjustable beam size is also very nifty for switching between details like searching an open grassy field with a tight beam to performing a building search with a wide beam to illuminate entire rooms. Several of the guys at work liked mine so much they bought one as well. The charger is also very nice with the magnetic docking station. I'll probably buy another one of these lights to throw in my toolbox in the garage.

I have owned this light since March 2011, and so far there have been no issues. This is my 3rd LED Lenser (Coast) flashlight, and my first that is rechargeable. I also have 3 of their headlamps (also great). This light comes with a plastic roto-molded case that seems nice but I unloaded it when I got it and have never used it since. It seems too bulky to use for travel, which I think was the intended purpose. I just wind up the cord around the charger and stow it in my suitcase. The light is always on my hip, so that needs no packing. The belt clip is secure but it is hard to get the light out of it until it gets broken in. I never pull the light outward to take it off I just slide it up and out of the clip. Going back into the clip gives a firm snap and whether you've got just the tip near the cap or somewhere in the middle, it is very secure. The clip rotates to allow use while it is on your belt. I use this feature several times a day and it saves from turning on lights while I close up our house for the evening. The clip can also be used to convert the light to a "stand" model. I use this when I am camping and power outages. I take off the top (lens) and slide the housing down to expose the LED for an all-around light.

I carry this light every day and charge it about 3 or 4 times a week. The battery life is great and for me this is saying something. I also own the rechargeable Mag-Charger (size of a 3-D cell light) and it is listed as 2 hours life, similar to the M7R. The difference is that the Ni-Cd battery in the Mag loses its capacity steadily over its life, and the LiPo battery in the Coast does not. The Mag uses a krypton bulb instead of an LED and while both lights warm with use, the Mag is dangerously hot. Only on one or two occasions have I run out of light before the end of the day.

While Coast does not specify that this light is water proof or even water resistant (at least that I have found), I can say that this light has been submerged several times in less than 2M of water (even an outdoor portable toilet once! For some reason my youngest son dropped it in, and after some fishing with a scrap of wood and a piece of wire we got it out. That night I rinsed it off and the next day I disassembled it, cleaned all the parts and put a light grease on the O-rings.) It has never failed me.

After more than a year, the light still looks great and functions perfectly. I have read reviews that claim that the lens is cracked on these and that is common, but mine is not optically clear. It seems like if it was cracked it would be visible in the projected beam.

Things I would change: Make the light roll resistant and include colored gels or caps for the light. Green and red for viewing pipes and preserving night vision.

This torch (flashlight) is ideal for my needs. I own several Led Lensers which work great, but are all somewhat battery killers. The M7R neatly addresses this shortcoming by introducing a rechargeable lithium-ion battery as the power source. My usual concern with using devices with this power source is getting caught out if they should go flat in the field, as this battery technology is commonly built-in and can be slow to charge. In the M7R this is not the case, the battery is replaceable and pre-charged extra batteries can be carried as emergency spares. The torch focus system works perfectly and the included magnetically attached charger/optional wall bracket are just great. The supplied quality carry case rounds off this set a treat. I've been using this torch for a month or so now and can't fault it, it is very bright (seems brighter than many higher powered torches) but can easily be dimmed when necessary. I would buy another one in a heartbeat if required.

I just recently purchased this light for my job. I cannot believe how bright it is. The manual mentions all the functions, but I have still not used them all. (I think the light is smarter than me.) I'm just having a little trouble figuring out on how to use the other functions. When it is on, Wow it's bright. I'm replacing my Stinger LED light due to a bad switch.
