this is great! light weight, but well-made, does all it should, easy to carry laser pointer, led light and stylus, fit easily into my case, works on ipad and iphone, reduces finger prints and has a good screen feel.

Pointer and light worked well but the metallic stylus tips were separated from the plastic bodies; gluing looks brittle and somewhat uneven. Returned.

Service from Amazon great. However the tip of each of these stylus' came off the first week. I can't get them back on.

Disappointing.

This stylus works well. I love the fact that the pen includes an LED light and a laser pointer. It's a great value for the price. I have already been using this stylus to take notes on a touchscreen surface.

Unisen iPazzPort Pro Mini KP-810-10-A Wireless USB Handheld Keyboard and Multi-Touchpad w/ Laser Poi

Unisen iPazzPort Pro Mini KP-810-10-A Wireless USB Handheld Keyboard and Multi-Touchpad w/ Laser Pointer
  • Backlit Keyboard, Multi-touchpad, 70+ keys, dedicated Mouse, Arrow, and Multimedia Keys
  • Multi-touchpad and Scroll Bar--allows for scrolling, screen flip, mouse click and Smart Phone.
  • Multi Language Support
  • Tested and Compatible with Google TV, HTPC, IPTV
  • Connects via 2.4Ghz RF USB Dongle, works from up to 33' away. Dongle conveniently stores inside

I needed this primarily for use with Ubuntu 10.04 controlling an htpc. I tried a very similar unit, the Favi, volume, mouse, etc didn't work with VLC player, so it went back to Amazon. It may have been a defective unit, not sure. The Anker works 100%! Trackpad is responsive. It had easy to open retail-ish packaging. The "English" on the package was entertaining to read. The important thing is the remote is working. Glad there's a laser pointer since this keeps the cat entertained while we're watching stuff on the htpc. Plays well with Linux highly recommended!

I have an old computer that I wanted to set up on my TV to use with my Netflix account. I did some searching and this product seemed like it would fit the bill. It was inexpensive and the right size. Hooking up was as simple as plugging in the USB. It works exactly as described.

Keep in mind, you probably wouldn't want to type a dissertation on this, but for small searches and clicking to run or stop stuff this is great.

Limitations the touch pad is sensative. There is probably some setting but I got used to be more careful with my taps. The key action is fine for its purpose. I also like the auto off feature. I cannot tell you how many nights I went to bed and left this on. I have had it about 2 months and haven't needed new batteries, still plenty of charge. I use it every night about an hour or 2.

I highly recommend this product for this purpose. Oh, my other complaint is that now that I can sit on my couch and type, I only wish my eyesight were better to see what I am typing!

I have no regrets in purchasing this case it fits both Nook Color and Nook Tablet! It works very very well esp the side pocket, It can fit headphones perfectly etc. The black material is like a sort of swede velvet material that feels really great though it attracts dust but not much. I would definitely recommend this case for use!

I picked this up for my uncle who loves to hike and camp. My parents bought him one of the Garmin portable GPS units for his birthday and I thought this case would be a nice gift to go with it. It's actually a pretty universal case, but it fit his GPS (etrex 20) extremely well. The belt clip is nice, I think it will be great for hiking and other activities as it has a nifty locking mechanism that keeps it pretty secure.

Charging Gomadic Retractable USB Data Cable for the Sony Walkman NWZ-A818 -Provides both charge and

Charging Gomadic Retractable USB Data Cable for the Sony Walkman NWZ-A818 -Provides both charge and data sync services
  • Cable tip, wiring and power configuration is designed to the Sony Walkman NWZ-A818 specification. Supports USB 1.1, 2.0 and 3.0 transfer standards.
  • Ultra compact and spring loaded retractable mechanism will expand to 38" in total cable length and then retract back into a 2 inch case which will fit neatly in a shirt pocket.
  • Integrated TipExchange Technology provides an upgradeable path by simply exchanging the physical connector plug. Specific connection for the Sony Walkman NWZ-A818 is included with additional connectors sold separately.
  • Custom designed for dual sync and charge services of the Sony Walkman NWZ-A818. Simply plug in to the standard USB data port of any PC (e.g. laptop, netbook, desktop, etc.).
  • Cable expands from 2 to 34 inches in seconds (and everything in between). Simply press the integrated retraction button, and the cable effortlessly rolls back into the casing.

I misplaced the usb cable for my nwz-a818, and went searching for a repalcement. Found these with the interchangeable tips, and decided to give them a shot. When I got the cable, the computer and walkman would detect each other and the walkman would begin charging, but I couldn't load any files onto the walkman or delete any off. Annoying.

So I emailed gomadic's cusotmer service and they got back to me in about 30 minutes to make sure I had the right tip. I did, so they sent me a new cable and tip. It came in a day and a half, and worked perfectly! Now it charges and syncs no problem. Highly recommended.

So far this charger has worked well. Charge times appear to be similar to the Apple model. It resembles the Apple charger but it is a little bigger and the connector is not the metallic connector Apple uses.

Be sure to REMOVE the, hard to see, plastic from around the Mac connector piece otherwise it may not charge properly.

Also the charge light stays on longer then the Apple model does when you disconnect it from the Mac. I'm hoping this isn't some capacitor problem.

It does not come with the heavy duty wall extension cord but that can be purchased separately if you need it. I didn't purchase the extension.

I recommend this based on the very reasonable price, less than 1/2 the cost of the official Apple model, and the similar results..

Quality is nearly OEM. As long as it keeps working, this was a great buy! Keep in mind it doesn't include the extension cord half, just the half from the power brick to the computer, which is all you need unless you need extended reach.

I have found this charger to be a worthy replication/spare of the charger that came with my MacBook Air (2012 model). The fact that there aren't many generic ones with the MagSafe2 concerned me, but this one is very compatible with my laptop and operates in exactly the same way as the original.

rooCASE Netbook Carrying Bag for Acer Aspire One 10.1-Inch AOD255-2509 Netbook - Classic Series Blac

rooCASE Netbook Carrying Bag for Acer Aspire One 10.1-Inch AOD255-2509 Netbook - Classic Series Black / Dark BlueI bought these cases for my grandsons to protect their computers. I found the cases to be very high quality and would recommend them to everyone.

We have at 3 other rooCase products and like all of them. The "extra" space for the power cord could have more room although my husband has a 10" Samsung not an Acer. That may have made a difference but other than that it's a great case!

Transformer 700 with keyboard fit nicely. The keyboard (detached) slips into the inner sleeve, which is on the underside of the front cover of the rooCase. Probably meant to hold papers, etc., but the keyboard fits nicely. Meanwhile, the tablet fits against the other side of the case (the "bottom") and can be secured by two velcro straps. I have my T700 encased in a nice gumdrop case (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0098V1GJG/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00), and it fits in the rooCASE with about an inch to spare (width) and two inches to spare (top-to-bottom). I'd say there's probably at least an inch clearance above the top of the tablet and the closed top in which you could put papers or other items. Of course, if you have your Transformer mounted to the keyboard, the clamshell Transformer will fit with no problem in this case. Be aware, however, that the case barely accommodates 8 1/2 X 11 paper -you may have just a bit of corner bending.

Structurally, the case is very well made, with adequate padding on all sides. Comes with a handle which I like, in that it can collapse flat against the case, and a handy detachable shoulder sing is included.

I actually love the cover, its alot better than the att cover I had, which has the plastic cover front. The plastic cover front made it hard to manuever the screens and my phone would jam, not having that problem now. The only draw back on this, if you want to switch it out, I found it hard as hell to get off without marking it up and actually thought at one point my phone might get broken. Once its on-they mean it to stay on-didnt care for that.

Good:

fast shipping from Vendor

case fits well (like a glove)

Bad:

case consist of 2 parts (upper case and bottom case no such description or picture from Vendor)

snaping mechnism looks "weak" to me. If you plan not to open case often then you are fine.

i use phone every minute and have 2 batteries, for me it is very inconvenient and difficult to remove case (unlock 2 parts: upper and bottom) every time i have to swap batteries

overpriced (bottom price 0.99)

Overall it is a good case if you plan to use only ONE battery

The only downside is that you do have to take it out to use the phone.

Tripp Lite B004-VUA2-K-R 2 Port USB KVM Switch w Audio and Cables

Tripp Lite B004-VUA2-K-R 2 Port USB KVM Switch w Audio and Cables
  • 2-Port Desktop KVM Switch with Audio and USB KVM Cable Kits
  • Controls 2 computers from a single monitor, keyboard and mouse
  • Lets 2 computers share an audio device
  • Compatible with all major operating systems
  • 1-year warranty

This product was easy to set up, works great, no hassle. Can be used with/without the driver disk, though you need the drivers to setup audio-lock (i.e., listen to audio on computer #1 while moving mouse/keyboard control to computer #2). I can't speak to the video quality because I'm only using the K/M/A components.

Even though this is a great product in the end, setup was a little scary. I wasn't going to give it less than 5 stars because it does what it's supposed to and is priced great too. However, there's a couple things you need to be aware of:

1. The keyboard/mouse USB ports to not go as deep as most, leaving one with the impression that the connection is not solid. However, I have had NO PROBLEM with my connections. It was just the initial impression that the connection *might* not be very good.

2. The audio pass-through is subject to some noise interference. When I first plugged everything in, the noise was so bad that I thought I was going to end up returning the device. I was able to fix the problem by turning down my speaker volume and turning up my Windows volume control settings.

BTW, I use a wireless mouse, and my keyboad is actually plugged into the USB hub of a separate number pad, which in turn is plugged into the keyboard port of the KVM. I have no problems with any of my input devices.

Last thought: Like any other KVM switch, every time you switch control you'll hear 42,000 bell sounds as your machines detect USB device connections/disconnections. You'll want to customize your Windows audio scheme to shut that off. It took me about 2 switch-overs to realize how annoying that is!

Buy Tripp Lite B004-VUA2-K-R 2 Port USB KVM Switch w Audio and Cables Now

Just an FYI for 64-bit Windows 7 users: this switch does not work with it. I intended to use it to switch between an old XP machine and a new Win7 machine. It locked Win7 up so completely that I had to hard boot it. I googled around a little and, sure enough, this is a common problem with this switch (and, to be fair, many others).

For now, I'm just going to use Remote Desktop to access my XP machine from the Win7 machine. This switch will go into the closet. Hopefully, I'll have a use for it, someday.

Don't let the pictures confuse you as to how this hooks up to all your stuff. The mouse and keyboard that hook up to the device are sent to both systems via the VGA output on the device. The VGA cord actually splits into a VGA and USB once it reaches your computer. Also, what look like mini-USB connectors on the device actually turn into headphone and mic jacks once they reach your computer.

2 issues.

1) The documentation says it works with Linux in the sense that you can still use ScrollLock-ScrollLock to switch between systems. That is not working for me. If you run Windows, it may work just fine, or work with the special software they make for Windows. Don't know. I have to manually switch systems with the buttons on the device, which isn't THAT much of a pain, but it is a minor pain.

2) Slight VGA issues. When the screen is black (not off, just totally black background), there are very faint lines that are scrolling down on it. You will not see these under normal conditions, but you can when it is totally black. Also, there is some very slight ghosting of things. Like, a very faint image of the mouse cursor will appear to the right of the cursor on a very dark background. Once again, it is very faint and only the most picky of people would notice it. VGA suffers from these issues anyway, so it may be that, but it is possibly exaggerated with the device.

Other than that, it does the job, and it's relatively inexpensive as far as these things go.

This switcher works great to go between my old and new computers that share a monitor. One big tip, though, be careful when you click on the 1 and 2 buttons on top if you push them too forcefully, they'll jam underneath the plastic cover and you'll have a hard time getting them to pop back up where they should be. Love this switcher.

This product works fine. Whether the switching is done manually (buttons on the device itself), or using the keyboard combination, the transfer is smooth and fast.

(Note: I haven't tried the microphone/speaker switching features.)

There is a problem when using this switcher, and it's one that never occurred to me before I used it. Your keyboard doesn't work unless the KVM switch drivers are loaded. Consequently, you can't start the CMOS setup service at power-up for example. Also you can't enter Windows "safe mode", because they both require keyboard input before Windows begins to load.

My workaround is to keep an old keyboard on the floor nearby that connects to the primary computer through the traditional keyboard connector instead of USB. This solves the problem, but having a keyboard on the floor adds to a cluttered look and is, frankly, inelegant.

Palm Treo 650 and 700p 700W Stylus Pen - Sealed Palm Retail Packaging - 3 Pack

Palm Treo 650 and 700p 700W Stylus Pen - Sealed Palm Retail Packaging - 3 PackContrary to the product description, these are not the stylus' with a built-in pen.

Also, my order for three was in a ziplock bag and not the original Palm packaging.

Still, an exact match so I am sure they were made by Palm.

Regardless, completely satisfied with the purchase.

I have an Ipad and an Iconia tablet, sometimes the Iconia will let me use a hard stylus to draw. I thought these Treo styluses would be perfect, but they won't work on the Iconia or the Ipad. It was worth a shot to me anyway! The price on these is great (I paid something like $5 for three) and they have a pen inside them! If my Palm wasn't about 100 years old these would be great for me.

Top plastic tip of the old stylus broke. This replacement set is a good value, but it is too loose to stay in its holder and does not have a snug fit in its holder. Stylus slides out if the Treo is turned upside down.

The price for the three Stylus pens was great. I like the idea of having a writing pen built inside the stylus. The only drawback is that the stylus is not a tight fit in the slot for the Palm 700wx and is prone to fall out. I have already lost one, so its a good thing you get three!

Casio Cassiopeia EM-500 Color Pocket PC (Slate Blue)

Casio Cassiopeia EM-500 Color Pocket PC
  • Color screen with 240 x 320 display in 65,536 colors
  • Includes Microsoft Pocket Word, Pocket Excel, Pocket Money, and Pocket Internet Explorer
  • 16 MB of internal RAM, expands up to additional 64 MB with optional MultiMediaCards
  • Play MP3 audio files with built-in speaker
  • What's in the box: Cassiopeia EM-500, Stylus, USB Cradle, AC Adapter, Lithium-ion rechargeable battery pack, CR2032 lithium battery, Connector cable, Pocket PC User's Guide, Hardware Guide

The Cassiopeia EM-500 looks like a pretty sweet deal. It can do almost anything the E-115 does, and it's smaller and faster. If you compare the EM-500 to the E-115, you'll notice that the E-115 has 32MB of memory, where the EM-500 has 16MB. Also, the EM-500 offers the multimedia card memory system, so memory can be easily expanded.

The EM-500 seems targeted at a younger market, with great multimedia capabilities (MP3, 240 x 320 TFT 65,536 color screen, excellent gamepad).

Its main competitor, the Compaq iPaq, offers more memory and speed, but less colors, and, most importantly perhaps, the keypad of the iPaq cannot register simultaneous clicks, which limits its gameplay capabilities.

If you want a good Pocket PC for both "serious stuff" and games and multimedia, the EM-500 seems the way to go. A fine product by Casio, with more memory I would have given it 5 stars.

Buy Casio Cassiopeia EM-500 Color Pocket PC (Slate Blue) Now

I bought the EM-500 about four months ago. I love the Software that it came with (Microsoft Pocket PC) but since all pocket PCs come with the same software I'm not going to write about how cool the transcriber is and how nice it is to write notes down, and save them.

The things that I don't like about this model are that it doesn't support compact flash. It only supports the Casio micro memory cards which are hard to come by. This also means that you will miss out on all those cool accessories that are compact flash compatible. I also don't like the placement of the IR port (on the right side). If you want to send something, you have to turn it to the right for the IR ports to see each other.

Other than that I really like my EM-500 and I use it all the time for work and personal notes and reminders. I also love reading books on it I can read a book in bed with all the lights out so my wife can sleep.

The one recommendation I would make to all pocket pc buyers is to invest in a screen cover the screen can get scratched very easily and if you want to keep it for a while the scratches will start to add up.

Read Best Reviews of Casio Cassiopeia EM-500 Color Pocket PC (Slate Blue) Here

I love PDA's (and computers in general, for that matter) and this is an excellent device. There was a time when I swore by Palm's pda's, but while Windows CE (now known as Pocket PC) has evolved to near-desktop power, the Palm has remained virtually unchanged. Of the Pocket PC's available, this unit is the best compromise of size and power. It packs a 150mhz cpu (more powerful than the HP Jornada, less than the Ipaq), 16mb of ram, and an amazing screen capable of displaying 16bit color. The Ipaq and HP Jornada can both only do 12-bit color at best. All of that is packed in a comfortable, small device that feels extremely solid in the hand.

While I do believe the EM-500 is probably the best unit available, it does have a few draw-backs. The miserly 16mb of ram is hardly enough... if you buy this make sure to get a 32mb or 64mb memory card to go with it. My other complaints are minimal: lack of hardware volume control, location of IRDA port... but none of these minor issues really impact the usefulness of the unit.

Definitely a great PDA, and well worth the money.

Want Casio Cassiopeia EM-500 Color Pocket PC (Slate Blue) Discount?

I bought the EM-500 recently to replace my Handspring Visor. I was always more than happy with the Visor, but wanted to go with a device with a color screen and the Pocket PC operating system. My overall satisfaction has been great, but you really have to know what you're getting yourself into.

Generally speaking, my computer skills are well above average. This has turned out to be a very good thing with the Pocket PC system. I've found it at times more versatile than Palm, at times more familiar (due to the Windowsesque interface), but also frequently frustrating. Because everything's a little more "tweakable" than Palm, you'll find more of a need to get into the details and settings a bit more. If you're comfortable with that, then Pocket PC is for you. If you're looking for simplicity and ease of use, then stick with Palm, even if you're a desktop Windows junkie. Palm is certainly expandable (though arguably not as much as Pocket PC), it's just easier to do so.

A few other things to keep in mind: While the MMC slot allows you additional storage space, it's no help for program memory. Some programs require quite a bit of memory to run (PocketDOOM comes to mind), and if you've stored a lot of stuff on your RAM, then you're out of luck. A 32MB version would've been smart on Casio's part. This brings up another point ... Casio has discontinued the EM-500 line now that the PocketPC 2002 OS is out, so you may want to think about how that might affect you. The EM-500 is NOT upgradeable, and never will be.

That said, my experience with the EM-500 has been great. It's got stereo MP3 playback out of the box, a beautifully rich color screen (though difficult to see out-of-doors), and outstanding expandability. It's given me just about everything the Visor did, and more. Its size (just a tiny bit larger than the Visor) and weight (probably at least twice the weight of the Visor) weren't an issue for me, though you might consider it if you plan to carry this in a pocket. Overall, a great purchase, and I believe the best tradeoff between price and quality on the Pocket PC devices.

It has been in the shop for more than a month now. I guess that means that as of today, it has been away for service for more days than I got to use it in the first place.

I could not keep the screen aligned. When you tap the stylus on the screen, the machine should detect exactly where you tap. You can go through an "alignment" procedure to set the position of the stylus exactly. Unfortunately, the screen would go out of alignment (by one-eighth to one-quarter of an inch) five or six times per day. Every third or fourth day, the screen would go out of alignment by one-half to three-quarters inch.

It did not "drift" out of alignment; it would happen suddenly, in the middle of writing characters, for example. I could see the character being formed directly underneath the stylus, and the very next character would be a quarter-inch above or below the stylus.

So, does this happen to everyone (and everyone else just puts up with it)? I don't know, but I could not get any information from Casio whether this was expected behavior, unusual behavior, a common failure or an unusual failure.

So I shipped it back to Casio factory service in NJ, and cannot find out anything about when (if ever) they will send it back, or if they can fix it or if I'll have to live with it.

I sure wish I had bought an iPaq. Maybe I'll go ahead and order an iPaq; it will probably arrive from backorder before I get the Casio back.

These are wonderful as Styli, or to use as pens (they write so smoothly that now I don't want to write with any other pen!). They are not only functional, but also beautiful to look at! The crystals sparkle in any light, and attract a lot of attention and compliments. I have purchased this same item (all from the seller IClover) in pink, purple, aqua, black, white and red, and I'll be back for more! You can't beat this price, whether you buy them for yourself or as gifts, I cannot say enough about these Stylus Pens...I definitely recommend these to everyone!!!

BoxWave Capacitive Toshiba Excite 10 LE Styra (Jet Black)

BoxWave Capacitive Toshiba Excite 10 LE Styra
  • Works on all capacitive touch screens
  • Integrated and capped pen, perfect for taking paper notes
  • Conveniently designed in pen form, perfect for carrying around
  • Durable construction
  • Perfect for cold days when you don't want to remove your gloves

This is a mixed bag of some things that work well and some that just don't quite cut it. The battery pack worked when I had two lithium batteries in there, but when I tried four regular batteries purchased overseas, I got the light working, but it wouldn't charge my ipod or phone. The lack of instructions is annoying. I was able to get my phone charged because most hotels have a lost and found full of chargers. Didn't help me for my ipod.

GSI Super Quality Transfer Camera Connection Kit - CF Compact Flash Memory Card Reader - Download Ph

GSI Super Quality Transfer Camera Connection Kit - CF Compact Flash Memory Card Reader - Download Photos-Videos From CF I / CF II Card To Apple iPad And iPad 2Did not work in my iPad2 with my Duracell 16gb CF Card from a Canon 7D. I had hoped it would work, it would be wonderful for those few times you need quick access to a picture.

Got the reader yesterday in the mail. Simple packaging, and not much in the way of instructions.... But, being a guy, I don't read instructions anyway...

On my first attempt, the reader wasn't recognized, and when, on my second attempt, I tried to transfer pictures I had uploaded to a CF card from my computer, the iPad 2 couldn't find them.

I went back and tried again, taking actual photos on a 8Gb CF2 card with my Nikon D200. Worked like a charm

Apparently the first time, I hadn't put the files into a folder that the iPad could find and recognize.

It imported my .NEF files perfectly, and iPad displayed them just fine!

Good job guys.

I was really excited about being able to use this so when I plugged it into my iPad and it worked, I was incredibly pleased. Then a few days later when I went to use it again. Nothing. I tried several times and maybe every now and then it would show the "Camera" tab but nothing appeared.

Thermaltake Dr. Power II Automated Power Supply Tester Oversized LCD for All Power Supplies - AC0015

Thermaltake Dr. Power II Automated Power Supply Tester Oversized LCD for All Power Supplies - AC0015
  • Supports all ATX power supply up to ATX12V 2.3.
  • Oversized LCD panel shows all voltages within 1/10th volt for quick and easy troubleshooting.
  • Voltage reading for all rails (+12V/5V/+3.3V/5VSB/-12V)
  • Built-in output connectors diagnostic system, low-voltage, high-voltage, no voltage, PG alarms.
  • Built-in alarm to notify user of unstable or abnormal power supply activity.
  • Easy to use troubleshooting system will quickly identify if power supply is the source of instability.

Was able to quickly diagnose a questionable power supply. Took longer to figure out how to plug in the CPU power cables because the sockets weren't snug (allowed the connectors to fit in several orientations despite being keyed). I eventually figured out the proper way to plug in the cables by studying the how the connectors were keyed and matching the female side keys.

Construction was disappointing, other reviews gave me the impression that this was well-built and rock-solid. My unit was moderately flimsy, felt cheap (flexed and creaked when inserting/removing the motherboard power harness and used cheap power connectors that don't prevent cables from being connected incorrectly). I doubt that this unit would survive in a commercial high-use environment environment but would be better suited for hobbiests.

Bottom line is that this thing works but with a good dosage of care. I could easily have fried it the first time I used it if I hadn't taken a close look at the connector keys.

This is made by Thermaltake who, in my opinion, is no stranger to power supplies and other PC components.

The box feels sturdy and comfortable in my hand. The LCD is nice and bright and easy to read. The instructions are well written and easy to understand.

To use this thing, you basically:

remove AC power from power supply

plug in the main 20 or 24 pin lead from power supply to bottom of tester

plug in additional rails to test, such as pci-e (2/4), old fashioned molex, cpu rail (2/4) or sata power

provide AC power to power supply

hit the button on the tester to power up the power supply and press again to cycle thru the different rails

the LCD is blue if all is well and turns red and beeps if all isn't well

at the end of the tests it turns the power supply back off

you can also hold the button to automatically test each connected rail for 5 seconds

I have tested about 4 power supplies so far and found one bad one. The nice thing about the LCD is that it shows you the voltage reading as well as what it should be right next to it. Easy identification of what you are looking at/testing.

The only concern I have is that I don't think this particular tester puts the power supply under load. I think this could be an important test. And of course this won't tell you if your power supply is overloaded you should be able to figure that out on your own. But it certainly is a nice and easy (and professional looking) way to test a power supply.

I would recommend.

I have a couple of older testers that have led indicators only. This device provides much more detailed information. I build and repair PC's and having more detailed information is critical to getting my work done. If you are a frequent builder or need to test a supply, this can be a great asset. It is a bit expensive compared to the cost of purchasing a new supply so getting the less expensive tester will probably give you as much information as you could want. The ability to cycle through the different connections is a big asset and will help me get the warranty work done quicker by letting the manufacturer/supplier know what is wrong so I don't have to waste my time going through their paces.

As a computer consultant I often run into power supplies that either don't work or are intermittent. I had various ways of testing them prior to getting this tester but nothing was satisfactory. I tested dozens of supposedly defective Power supplies that I had kept around as they had passed my old tester and this device confirmed for me that the supplies were all defective in different ways. Very quick hookup and test.

PDair F41 Black Leather Case for Huawei IDEOS X5 U8800

PDair F41 Black Leather Case for Huawei IDEOS X5 U8800I bought this case as I believed it would provide the best protection for my phone inside my purse, pocket, wherever. The case is very well made of beautiful materials. But there is one problem and that is there is no opening on the back for the camera. The phone is held so secure, that it is a pain to try to pull it out to take a photo and the purpose of having a cell phone camera is to take those quick shots. So, sad to say, this case, as beautiful as it is, will not work for me. Unless I get out some scissors to do some messy surgery and make my own hole for the camera. But not happy about the look that will create, either.

By the way, I did contact the seller. Their solution would have me paying more postage, going without a case for a while and then more shipping around the world. Not so sure about that, either. They did not seem very anxious to do much.

New - Portable ID1 Contact smart Card Reader - SCR3500

New - Portable ID1 Contact smart Card Reader - SCR3500It should be noted that this is the same as Apple part number H2312LL/A. This reader works just fine with a CAC card on my Mac, using Outlook 2011. The packaging is minuscule -it doesn't include any instructions or anything like that. It is recognized immediately by the OS however, and both Outlook and Keychain Access (Apple's application for managing certificates/passwords) had no problem reading it. There are numerous sites that tell you how to configure Mail.app and Outlook to use this (it's a little different on the Mac than it is on the PC because Mac Outlook's menus are all different; I've also configured Outlook on the PC to use the CAC), so you should be able to find instructions via Google.

The device itself is pretty slick. It's about the size of your average thumb drive (about an inch by a quarter inch by a half inch), and comes with a little loop that you can put on your average badge lanyard (so, presumably, you can keep it on the same thing you keep the CAC on). It doesn't seem especially _rugged_, and I do have concerns that it might get broken in the environments I use my laptop in, but at $30, I'm not real worried.

Ordinarily I would have used a PC-card based reader, but I use this on my Macbook Air, which only has USB. For this purpose, it's pretty useful.

After fighting for countless hours trying to get my ActivCard reader to work with my new MacBook Pro 13", I found that I'd first have to update the reader's firmware on a Windows computer, or set up a Windows parallel. Instead, I hit the internet to find the best reader for my needs: Mac-compatible, portable, simple to use. I found that in the SCR 3500; its tiny so much more portable than the old ActivCard reader I had, and it is plug-n-play with Mac OS X 10.6.8. For anyone attempting to use a GEMALTO Common Access Card on the go, I would suggest this reader!

Worked perfectly right out of the box. Which is good-it didn't come with any CDs, literature, etc. But it turns out, it wasn't needed. I have a Macbook Pro 15", and I searched the internet for hours trying to find something that would just *work* like I needed it to. This reader does exactly that.

LG Optimus S Sprint Gels

LG Optimus S Sprint Gels
  • 2 Pack

I really like these cases, fit perfectly, very comfortable. They are on the harder side of "soft" case, not stiff and hard but more solid than cheap gel cases. Great grip and protection for my phone.

Two cases for the price of one. I took the gray, my wife took the purple. Thin but effective protection for our phones, which are the Virgin Mobile versions.

Brought these 'cause I got 2 Optimus phones. The purple is pretty close to the purple phone but not the same, maybe a shade lighter FYI. All the holes are where they need to be and the fit is fine.

Want LG Optimus S Sprint Gels Discount?

I bought these for our Optimus S phones after I had trouble getting my hard case off for a battery pull. These are great. We love the feel.

Unlike the "silicone" skins, these aren't "sticky" so they slide easily into your pocket. They are pretty easy to remove for a battery pull.

My only complaints, the hold for the charger really isn't wide enough, so I took a razor and trimmed it a little bigger. The headphone jack hole is also a little narrow. It worked for most of my earbuds, but some older, larger plugs don't fit.

Overall though, there's nothing better!

These covers are made by Sprint, so everything fits great. They don't add a lot of bulk to the phone, and all of the buttons are accesible.
