Buy Motorola Razr V3, V3c, V3m Cell Phone Covers, Cell Phone Faceplates, 3 Pack of Phone Covers, Clear, Now

Only bought this item because it was very cheap for my old Razr phone. The only problem I have is the area where you charge the phone, the charger doesn't stay in. You have to keep pushing charger in and careful not to touch until finished or charger will come out. I guess the cover is a too tight of a fit.

PenGo TouchPen v2 Stylus (for iPad, Google Nexus, Samsung and other touch screens)

PenGo TouchPen v2 StylusThis is a good stylus, but very heavy on the end with cap. I find myself going back to my lightweight cheap stylus too often.

I have tried several higher quality stylus with my iPad2. So far, the PenGo has beat out all others. The bamboo stylus is nice as well, however the texturized rubber like grip on this one makes it a winnder for me. The price also is a great price compared to the other high quality brands. I use it to draw, paint and scribble notes and will probably buy another to keep on hand.

Buy PenGo TouchPen v2 Stylus (for iPad, Google Nexus, Samsung and other touch screens) Now

The very first time I tried to use the ball point pen accompanying the PenGo TouchPen v2 stylus, the entire device fell to pieces as I removed the rear cap. Because reassembling the pen simply returns it to its initial unstable state, the pen portion of the stylus is simply unusable. Yesterday, the device spontaneously fell apart as I was writing! Clearly there is some imperfection in the dimensions of the relevant parts that causes the innards to get stuck in the main shaft of the stylus, thus eviscerating the utensil every time the rear cap (to which the pocket clip is attached) is removed.

Secondly, the tip wore out in just two weeks! The impression I got was that it had been coated with some sort of sensitizing lacquer that incrementally rubs off with each successive stroke (perhaps the maker has quantified this obsolescence factor).

Thirdly, the metallic cone that houses the tip invariably loosens during use, causing it to rattle distractingly and eventually begin to wobble, which forces the user to periodically re-tighten the cone.

Finally, I have observed some ink leakage as a result of placing the pen in my shirt pocket for a short period of time.

The only thing I have to say in favor of the PenGo TouchPen v2 stylus concerns its above-average reach, which can ease interaction with larger devices such as the iPad.

I regard two stars as a gift.

Read Best Reviews of PenGo TouchPen v2 Stylus (for iPad, Google Nexus, Samsung and other touch screens) Here

Having incorporated a tablet into my daily gear, and having large hands and fingers, and being a habitual sketcher and note-taker, I wanted a to give a stylus pen a try.

This one looks great, has a nice heft to it, and a durable body and cap. The pen writes smoothly and effortlessly, and the reservoir appears to be replaceable (I haven't looked for the replacement part yet).

Another reviewer complained about rattling, falling apart, and leaking. In a month of use, I have experienced none of those problem.

The problem is, IMO, it is a better pen than a stylus. On both my phone and tablet, you've got to 'poke' very deliberately to get a response. All attempts at writing and doodling have been even more disastrous than expected.

To sum up, it's a great, durable pen, that can also do come tapping. It is more precise than my finger (but that isn't saying much!). Pen: yes! Sylus: meh. Stylus pen: more or less. It does OK, but there must be better out there.

Want PenGo TouchPen v2 Stylus (for iPad, Google Nexus, Samsung and other touch screens) Discount?

I like that this stylus is also a pen. I also like the the tip is smaller then others I have tried. The only thing I don't like so much is that there is no way to attach it to my iPad.

PNY P-CFSM-USB-PB Dual Card Reader

PNY P-CFSM-USB-PB Dual Card Reader
  • Dual-slot flash card reader for digital cameras and PDAs
  • Data transfer rates of up to 1.2 MBps
  • Easy connectivity with USB
  • Supports Windows and Mac
  • Multislot design for CompactFlash Type I/II and SmartMedia cards

The reader works greatly for smartmedia cards, only make sure to insert the card correctly. I haven't tried with other kind of cards, but the only drawback is that it could have a better eject mechanism for smartmedia cards. It has a green light that blinks when the card is been read, but it's on the top of the unit, so it isn't much visible. BTW, it is pretty fast and the installation was very easy on Win98 and WinMe. Haven't tried on WinXP or Win2000.

Buy PNY P-CFSM-USB-PB Dual Card Reader Now

There are two things to be aware when you use the reader with the IBM microwdrive (either 340MB or 1 GB versions): 1. Inserting the drive in the slot to its mechanical stop causes the green light to go off, and the drive to be disconnected from the USB. I insert drive about half way in, watching the light. 2. The reader has no read light, so I don't know when it is finished its read/write process, and safe to remove the drive.

Good things: it's fast, and reliable with the above exceptions.

My reader worked fine until upgrading to XP. The W2K driver

hasn't been blessed by Microsoft and you're told so when

trying to install the driver. I went ahead and installed the

driver anyway and the device worked for a few minutes before XP

blue-screened.

I checked the PNY site and supposedly this device is suppose to

work with XP.

Want PNY P-CFSM-USB-PB Dual Card Reader Discount?

This is an excellent value, reading both flash media and smart media. No more cables and power adapter for uploading digital camera data and your pictures are instantly available with no upload time.

This device is compact and self-powered and useful even as an additional drive for your computer. It's especially useful for transporting large files from one computer to another if no zip drive is available. You can throw this tiny thing right in a briefcase or pocketbook and the driver takes less than 10 seconds to install. The weight is negligible and certainly less than lugging a zip drive and power adapter around if you need file portability.

I bought the PNY unit to transfer pictures between my PC and compact flash cards. It saves my camera batteries and makes managing CF cards a breeze. I'm running Win2K pro and haven't experienced any serious setup or usage problems. The transfer speed is acceptable. I have not tried a smart media card yet. The CF reader shows up in explorer as a removable media device; my imaging software also finds it with no problems. The unit only has a power indicator and there is no visible way to tell when the reads & writes are finished. Also, while the USB driver works fine on my PC, the user interface for ejecting cards is clunky. Though I'm not unhappy with the PNY card reader, I'm not overjoyed. I would very much like a status light and a better eject method on my next card reader.

13.3 Inch T-pink Snap-on Hard Case Cover for Apple Macbook Air (08-09 Models) + Free Neck Strap for

13.3 Inch T-pink Snap-on Hard Case Cover for Apple Macbook Air + Free Neck Strap for Cell PhoneI ordered this item for my wife, as she liked the color of the cover as pictured. She has an older Macbook Air and wanted to make it look prettier. She liked this light, powder pink cover and so we ordered it. When the item arrived, the company had not included enough postage, so I had to pay an additional $5.50 in postage. When I finally got the item home and opened the package, the item looked rather cheap and flimsy, and the free neck strap was not included. Also, the color was a much darker pink, only a few shades brighter than a candy apple red. And when the cover was placed on the silver-grey Macbook Air, the final result was rather hideous. The color is awful--nothing like the pictured item. Would the item protect the computer? Probably, as it is made of a hard plastic. But, if you are looking to make the computer look pretty, then I do not recommend this item. After much negotiation with the company (at one point, their service rep actually suggested that my wife get used to the color...), we were finally allowed to return it. Unfortunately, the shipping label they sent me did not have sufficient postage, and I had to pay an additional $9.25 in shipping costs. Do not waste your time or money buying this item or purchasing anything through this company.

Acer Predator AG3620-UR12 Gaming Desktop (Black)

Acer Predator AG3620-UR12 Gaming Desktop
  • 3rd Generation Intel Core i7- 3770 Processor - 3.4GHz (8MB Cache)
  • 32GB DDR3 RAM
  • 2 TB 7200 rpm Hard Drive, 16 GB Solid State Drive
  • AMD Radeon HD8760 Graphics Card with 2GB of Discrete Video Memory
  • Windows 8

I recently purchased this computer with the idea that I could replace my current setup. The configuration is great, a really strong computer. However, the listed RAM of 32GB cannot be fully used by the computer's motherboard. The Acer AG3620 motherboard can only handle up to 16GB total ram. Why Amazon would sell the computer like this, I am not sure.

PRO: Great computer, strong gaming choice for the price

CON: Motherboard cannot handle the amount of memory sold with this rig.

Do not know what the person who gave the first review knows about computers, he was not happy about the connection to the internet. nothing wrong with the wireless connection. just sent back a dell xps, with the same hardware as this computer, it was DOA. after spending two weeks with dell on the phone I sent it back. Ordered this Acer, and it started up, and is buy far a better computer. and the price was near a thousand dollars cheaper then the Dell XPS!!! if you are looking for a computer with all the features that came with this Acer, compare this one with the Dell XPS and you will see what I am talking about. I sent back the Dell monitor too, it was the Dell s2740l, and bought the same monitor from Amazon, guess what? it was forty dollars cheaper then Dell's price and came with a three year warranty. Dell's package deal for the Monitor and computer came with a one year monitor!! this computer ROCKS AND ROLLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! folks all I can say is look at this ACER and compare it to a dell then save yourself a thousand dollars Ron.

I sent this back. I opened the box and in no way was this the computer that was suppose to be in the box. It had a sticker on the side that said windows xp , it was blue and probably a 10 yr old tower. I noticed that the box had been opened and it was suppose to be new. So my opinion is that someoe returned the wrong item before me. It was a let-down. I ended up ordering directly from Acer.

Got this beast in the mail the other day and was so excited I could barely contain myself. Then I opened it... first I noticed that the keyboard and mouse that come with it were somewhat sub par especially since this is a gaming computer... but whatever. Then I notice that the ports where you plug in the wifi antennae in the back was loose and I had to screw those back in... OK I can deal with it. Then I realize that the monitor I bought to go with it didn't come with a dvi or hdmi cable and the vga port is disabled on the back of this tower so I ran out and bought a dvi to hdmi cable... OK another 47 bucks and half an hour wasted... I can still deal.

THEN I GO TO START UP WINDOWS 8.... this is when the real fun starts. I start the computer and it takes me to the welcome screen and the straight to a BSOD (blue screen of death) involving the error code 0xc0000001. After a little research, I realize that this means that there is something wrong with the installation of Windows 8 on my brand new out of the box computer and I am quite angered by this. After some yelling at barely understandable technicians from Acer, I came to terms with the fact that I would need to reinstall or figure out some way to enter recovery mode. Acer's suggestion was to purchase their Windows 8 Recovery CD...ok...which costs 19.95, that I have to pay.... and that comes in 5-10 business days.... AND ITS A PACKAGE I HAVE TO FLIPPIN SIGN FOR????? I work gosh darn it. I was so frustrated that I just said forget it and hung up. I then found that you could download a recovery file from another Windows 8 onto a USB or other external device, plug that in, boot from that (by going into BIOS and changing the boot options), and then you get into recovery mode. OK so i did all that because my cousin fortunately has windows 8 installed on his computer and then got to the recovery mode and then tried the automatic repair option. Obviously that didn't work so then I clicked the reset my pc option. It said all my files would be wiped but I didnt have any so I said fine and did it. SUCCESS! I finally got Windows 8 to boot and such but then I realized it wasn't activated.... uggg.. then I restarted it again to try and activate it but then it stopped working completely.... i hate windows 8 and acer so much right now... but for the few brief moments that I did get to use it it was gaming heaven for the price.... im waiting on the recovery disk now from acer.... grrrr......

USB Trackball Numeric Keypad/Desktop Calculator, 12-Digit Display CAN0009B001

USB Trackball Numeric Keypad/Desktop Calculator, 12-Digit Display CAN0009B001This calculator works standalone including via solar cell or battery, or with a computer via USB. When attached via USB to a PC/Mac, it has a two mode switch for keying in numbers, or for calculating on the side (standalone calculator mode). If in calculator mode, you can still use the "SEND" button to key in your current result to the attached computer for you, but the rest of the time it keeps the results to itself (no keying).

When I received this calculator, the box indicated Windows only (OSX was not mentioned under requirements). I was prepared to be disappointed. I took a chance, and this product just works (no drivers)!

It could've been a disaster with such a hybrid device, but the trackball, keypad, backspace, tab, cursor, and everything just seem to work. Plus (at first I thought USB cable was not included), it includes a nifty self-storing USB cable that retracts into the base. The battery is built-in and rechargeable (factory (and user?) replaceable), and it has a solar cell for working off light.

There are a few shortcomings. I don't know if there's a calculator standard keypad size, but the keys seem a little close together compared to a normal keyboard, but still OK. The touch is softly tactile.

The manual doesn't have much to cover but still leaves a bunch to be desired. There are some a few sophisticated features which the manual does not explain fully (at least to my satisfaction) but which seem standard enough: the rounding switch (up, 5/4, down), decimal point setting (+,4,3,2,1,0,F[loating point]), and tax aids. I think the floating point could've used more explanation of when the + mode would be useful. It's confusing that they're not explained in some significant detail since they're somewhat unique features. That's picky, but for such a nifty product, solid documentation would be extra polish.

Overall, I'm quite impressed and pleased with this unorthodox (yet surprisingly familiar) and versatile calculator.

I thought this would be a great product. Wow, combine a full function calculator with a mouse ball!

Well, the tiny trackball was quirky and would move all over the screen.

The keys are so close together and small that I could not accurately enter numbers.

I sent it right back.

Many keypads like this one have small numbers so if you use the pad for data entry be careful.

CrazyOnDigital Black Leather Case For Apple iPad

CrazyOnDigital Black Leather Case For Apple iPad
  • Custom made to fit your iPad perfectly
  • Sturdy and stylish pebble-grain leather exterior
  • Soft black micro-fiber suede interior to provide maximum protection for the screen
  • Flexible straps on each corner to secure iPad in the case snugly
  • Anti-slip properties gives your handheld more grip on surfaces

I got this product and it's ..., where do I start?

I found the picture for this product to be deceiving.

Mine when looking at it from a top side view, the leather wasn't straight, it was a little arched.

I found The four things holding the corners of the iPad to be so poorly designed. The one on the top right blocks the iPad screen lock button, the one on the bottom right blocks one or two of the speakers and the one on the top left blocks the microphone.

Thanks for taking the time to read my review.

Buy CrazyOnDigital Black Leather Case For Apple iPad Now

First off, this is the first case I have used for my iPad, so I'm not saying there isn't a better case out there. For the price though, you can't beat it.

I'll point out one of the major things that worried me about the case, and that is the elastic bands that hold the unit in place. To anyone wondering if they do their job well, they really do. In fact, they hold the unit in so snuggly that I actually have trouble taking it out sometimes. They do their job, and they do it very well.

Another thing I was worried about was wether or not the front flap would have trouble staying closed after long periods of being folded back, much like the official Apple case. I have yet to experience it, in fact, I doubt it will ever happen seeing that the flap is weighted nicely.

Like the other reviewers have stated, this thing wont protect it from a pretty decent fall. It's more so meant to protect from scratches and dirt. In that aspect it will do you well, I have no problem putting this in my bag.

I jab a few cons with the case though:

1. The material inside the flap has a horrible habit if collecting tiniest crumb or spec of dirt you happen to set it in and transfers it over to the screen. It's not THAT big of a deal to me, but people coming from an official Apple case to this may find it aggravating.

2. No type of stand feature. I knew there wasn't one in the first place, but it still would've been nice.

I highly recommend this case, it's easily one of the better alternatives to the official Apple case.

This just arrived.

I couldn't be happier.

I didn't like the AppleiPad holder: it seems to me flimsy and ugly. And it's not gonna protect anything from anything.

So I ordered this. The price is amazing--1/3 to 1/6 of what other solutions cost.

It's quite nice. It makes your iPad look like an agenda or schedule. It's thicker than the thin Apple cover. And the logo is very subdued--almost invisible.

Now if you drop it, this thing's not gonna protect it a lot.

But in my messenger bag it will add a layer of protection.

Mine has a slightly chemical-y smell right out of the box. But I assume that will dissipate quickly.

This is quite a nice product. It's not gonna protect your iPad from rain and hurricane. But it's better than the $30 Apple solution--to my mind.

Want CrazyOnDigital Black Leather Case For Apple iPad Discount?

I was lucky and bought this case when the price was lower (1/3 of the price), but still think it is a steal for $17.99. It is solid, padded, and very classy. I agree with the other reviewer that it does have a very clean look to it, and resembles a leather agenda. I would not hesitate to buy another one (although it will be awhile, as I bought 3 of them). I highly recommend this, you will not be disappointed.

One major plus for me was that I was looking for an leather folio strictly for the iPad, I did not want pockets or any other bells and whistles (I tend to stuff things in the pockets). This is aesthetically pleasing, clean, and fits the bill perfectly!

Enjoy!

When I got my iPad, all Apple cases, were sold out.

The iPad being newly born, I was aware that reputable companies that manufacture products to protect and carry electronics would not have anything available yet. I am talking about Norev, Proporta, i-nique... all of their iPad cases are only available for pre-order.

I wanted something cheap and fast until other products would become available.

This "CrazyOnDigital" leather carrying case is inexpensive and does a reasonable job, nothing more, nothing less...

As reported already, it has a synthetic smell to it, because it is possibly not real leather. Aesthetically it looks fine.

The inside of the flap is covered with "simily" velvet plush to protect the iPad' screen. Mine had a bare spot, as big as a 1 cent coint, acceptable given the price.

The iPad is maintained by four elastic bands at each corner. The bottom bands are larger than the top ones. You can still access the "on" "off" switch at the top, the screen lock and volume switch at the right hand side.

The larger right bottom band covers two out of the three speaker ports. It does not muffle the sound.

The iPad is tightly held in the case, but longevity will need to be demonstrated over time. Especially with elastic bands.

The entire surface of the screen remains accessible;

Conclusion:

This case does the job to carry your iPad and protect the screen from being scratched. You can open the front flap backward and position it to hold it to watch or read. But there is no stop to immobilize the flap in position.

Alternatives:

I have pre-ordered the Marware Eco-Flip for iPad, because it suits me better;

-It has a unique hand strap which will allow you to hold the iPad.

-It has a foldable stand which will allow you to have a better position than flat on a surface.

I also liked the Tuff-Luv multi-view Napa Leather case cover for Apple iPad Black which has adjustable stand and has nice leather, at a price though.

BoxWave Rio Carbon miniSync Retractable Cable

BoxWave Rio Carbon miniSync Retractable Cable
  • Now supports Hi-Speed USB 2.0 data transfers!
  • Synchronizes and charges just like the cradle
  • Innovative retraction and recoil design
  • Extends to 25 inches in length
  • Durable, compact, and lightweight

When I purchased the MiniSync for my Rio Carbon I was immediately impressed with how well constructed it seemed, as well as the beautiful functionality of the retractible cord and the fact that data transfer and charging could be attained through such a small, strong wire.

However, the cable soon proved to have inconsistent results with different USB ports, as my Carbon would not be detected by over half the computers I tried using this cable with. Add to that disappointment the fragility of the plastic surrounding the 'spindle' resulting in breakage preventing the cable from retracting and I can no longer recommend this product.

I didn't discover these flaws until the 100-day warranty had expired, and the best BoxWave would do to help me was give me a 25% off coupon towards the purchase of another MiniSync cable. It's possible they've improved their design by now.

This is very professional looking. Careful because there are only prongs on two sides. If you are holding it upright it could slip out. I like that you use the elastic to keep it closed. It works well as a stand. The screen protector is good. Work slow and follow directions to keep dust away while you are applying it. The stylus is flat tipped not round. Husband did not care for the stylus. It works but he wanted a round tip. Overall got price for a nice looking product.

This product includes a carry case, a protector film and a stylus pen for the Acer Iconia A500 tablets. The carry case fits the tablet very well. It is very easy to slide the tablet in and out of the case. You can access all ports and devices without removing the case. The case provides three standing viewing angles to fit your personal preferences. I found it to be more comfortable to use the standing case than with the tablet laying flat on the table. The protector film has a decent anti-glare effect. There was no instructions on how to apply the film, but I found some on the web. While applying the film, it is very important to avoid having dusts caught between the film and the monitor. However, it was somewhat difficult to do. I tried to be careful but still had several bubbles caused by the dusts. Fortunately, the bubbles are not very noticeable when the computer is turned on. I did not use the included stylus pen very much. It is faster for me to just use my fingers. Overall, I think this is a good starter kit for your Acer Iconia A500.

Gathering and sharing information just got easier with the Wolverine PASS handheld scanner! The Wolverine PASS portable battery powered scanner is the ideal solution to scan documents, photos, magazines, books, decorative patterns, and anything else you think about, right there and right now. Simple and easy to use, just power it on, press the scan button and start rolling the scanner over the object, it's as simple as that! When you are done simply connect the scanner to any computer (Windows or Mac) via the included USB cable to save, print, or email your scans. Wolverine PASS is your solution to digitizing anything on the fly - a true necessity for every home and office!

After years of fighting software conflicts between my computer and various flatbed scanners in every price range, it was refreshing to work with this low priced, handheld scanner. I had become accustomed to having to trick my flatbeds into producing even a single page of material without at least a system reboot every time I wanted a copy of something. The Wolverine skips the computer altogether until I'm ready to work with the scanned jpg images. Then I just plug in with the supplied USB cable and find the Wolverine immediately recognized, just as a flashdrive or external hard drive would be. The choice of 300/600 DPI in either color or black and white is all I need for my purposes. I've scanned book pages, magazine pages, actual photos, receipts.... even pictures from the newspaper, something that never scanned well with my flatbeds. So far I haven't had a single error code with the Wolverine for moving too fast or too erratically; I find it quite forgiving in that regard. And finally, in the area of portability, the Wolverine can't be beat. No more trying to squash full size open books flat for successful scanning on my flatbed. Instead of bringing the book to the scanner I now take the scanner to the book, and scan page after page, both text and pictures, effortlessly.

Suggestion: for ease of scanning something small or clumsy, like a newspaper clipping that wants to curl up, I've found that putting a piece of clear plastic (like those used as desktop calendar protectors) over the target item works great, just run the scanner right over the plastic; no distortion or reflection.

The ability to scan to an SDHC card without using a computer is handy (another alternative would be to take a photo of the document or photo with a digital camera). I used it to scan the folks' photo albums but it took a lot of time to fix the photos afterwards on a computer.

Pro's:

* This model has rollers on both the leading and trailing edges, an improvement over the VuPoint Solutions Magic Wand Portable Scanner (PDS ST415 WM), although apparently manufactured by the same company.

Cons:

* More bulky than the VuPoint, and only available in green.

* There is about 1" of dead space on each side of the scanner that is not scanned, which may be an issue when scanning a page from a book, i.e. if the left margin is less than an inch.

* Disposable Alkaline batteries are supposedly required; I used NiMH rechargeables and they worked OK but were drained after about 100 scans.

* The unit randomly locks up when batteries are weak.

* There is no crop feature (even if the background is entirely white or black), so the resulting scanned image is always 8.5" wide, requiring use of computer software to crop them down to the desired size (say 4x6").

* Scanned images were always a tad crooked (compared to a flat-bed scanner), also requiring computer software to rotate them into position if desired. Manually rotating and cropping each photo wastes a lot of time.

* Scanned images were also intermittently distorted depending on how quickly the scanner was moved across the photo, for example after scanning a photo of a person, sometimes their head might appear "squished" if the scanner was moved faster over their head in the photo (possibly the scanner "lost" some scan lines without illuminating the "error" light, or possibly the distortion occurred when the edge of the photo hit the second roller). In any case I was a bit upset that some of the photos were distorted as in a Fun-House Mirror.

* The JPG files that were output had about 2KB of extra padding at the end of each file, confusing and locking up some photo viewer programs. For example, gimp (GNU Image Manipulation Program) said that all JPG files were corrupt due to this extra padding, and linux's default "Image Viewer" program locked up.

* Max resolution of 600dpi is not as high as the VuPoint Solutions Magic Wand Portable Scanner model PDS-ST415-VPS (which does 900dpi)

* The resolution is not remembered across power-cycles, so must be reconfigured each time the unit is powered on (unless you always want to scan at the lowest resolution).

* This model also does not support PDF file output, whereas the VuPoint Solutions Magic Wand Portable Scanner model PDS-ST415-VPS model does. (Note that the VuPoint PDS-ST415-VP model doesn't support PDF output and is also 600dpi like this Wolverine model; watch for that last letter in the model number!)

I've been using the Wolverine PASS -100 Portable Battery Powered Hand Held Document Scanner for a while and really like it. When I heard about this new model I contacted the manufacturer directly to get one as soon as I could. Frankly, as much as I liked the old one, this one is even better.

The two scanners are about the same size, with the PASS-200 being slightly larger. The big difference is the roller mechanism. The old version had one set of rollers and you had to apply a slight downward pressure to keep it rolling steadily. The new scanner has two sets and you have to work hard to make it NOT scan well. It's like it wants to stick to the surface being scanned and move in a straight line!

Another nice touch it the manufacturer is providing OCR software for download from their site.

The attached video shows the two units side-by-side for a comparison and gives a closeup look at this handy, easy to use scanner.

Wolverine PASS200 Handheld Portable Documents, Books and Photo Scanner I must admit that I'm a bit peeved since I discovered this very same item in a Costco e-mail flyer for $69.00 ( 30 bucks less). But that's not the purpose of this post. I currently have a portable sheetfed scanner which works really well with the exception that it doesn't work for images in a book or magazine without tearing out the page which might not be appreciated at the library. While on the subject, if you do a lot of copying at the library, this is the device for you. Excellent quality of scan plus no repeated trips to the expensive and often occupied copy machine which by the time your turn comes up it's out of paper. One feature that I liked about my portable sheetfed was I could scan any length document as long as I didn't run out of sidewalk ( could always cross the street I suppose). Anyway this unit should work as well for that up to the limit listed in the instructions. On balance it gets 5 stars from me.

I am a paper hoarder. I have stacks of recipes, craft projects, articles, cards I want to save, etc. They take up every spare shelf, drawer, cupboard. I can't seem to throw them out. I never know when I might want to comb through a gazillion recipes, so how could I just throw them out? I bought this scanner. It's wonderful! The scans are very nice, even on low resolution. It warms up within seconds of turning it on. There is no wait time between scans. Even my clumsy use of it doesn't spoil the scans. I can quickly and easily scan in a recipe or craft project and I have made myself folders on my computer to sort them into. Now I can go right to my deserts folder and chocolate sub-folder and peruse the recipes there. That means I can actually USE them because I can find what I want! I am giddy. If I do 200 scans per day for 10 years, I can throw out ALL my scraps of paper! Genius!

IRISPen Executive

IRISPen Executive

  • Barcode and hand printed numbers recognition
  • Recognizes up to 55 different languages
  • Powerful image control ¿ modify the image brightness and remove pixels

I had read the reviews before purchasing this item saw the warnings and thought they wouldn't apply to me. Sometimes it pays to listen to the little warning voice in your head. I tired very hard to learn to use this scanner and never got a complete sentence out of it correct. The product simply does not do what it claims to do. You will find yourself taking more time to get a decent scan than to type what you want on your keyboard. So be warned: This is not a time saving device to typing on your keyboard! One additional thing. Read the return policy. The company Amazon uses DOES NOT allow returns. Shortly after clicking "yes" to purchase this item the request was sent. I had second thoughts about purchasing and tried to cancel the order before the product was even sent, but could not reverse the purchase. A painful and costly lesson.

I purchased this scanning pen primarily to use with my MacBook Pro. This is the only handheld scanner that is advertised to work with a Mac (the older C-Pen C-10 USB scanner works with the PowerPC Macs but not the new Intel Macs). I even e-mailed Iris and asked them if this product "ran natively on the Intel Mac". I was told that it would have "no problems" running on an Intel Mac....

First, it is not native to the Intel Mac (ie. it is not a Universal program). Second, the software is very buggy when used with the Intel Mac. It shut down on multiple occasions and the trigger only functions sporadically. IT IS NOT FUNCTIONAL ON AN INTEL MAC.

The scanner does not feel very well built (too light and the plastic seems a bit cheap). IrisPen also charges $100 for any software upgrades, which most companies (C-Pen) provide for free.

The only thing that keeps me from giving this a 1 star rating, is the fact that the scan quality is fairly good on a PC.

Basically, handheld scanners are great for students and professionals who do writing (physicians, lawyers, etc). If you are looking for a great USB handheld scanner (for PC use), then try to find a C-10 (no longer made) by C-Pen. The C-20 (the upgrade to the C-10) is good but not great (better than the IrisPen Executive though).

I'm sorry to say that other reviews of this product from customers who really wanted it to work also apply to my experience. The software loaded on my Mac (OS X 10.4.7), but then the trouble started. The software USB driver could not seem to keep the pen captured, and when it did, scanning was haphazard. Not that it mattered, because try as I might (and believe me, I am a very careful troubleshooter), I could not get a scan that was clear enough or stable enough for IRIS to recognize. This is too bad, because the IRIS engine in general is fast and accurate in other Mac applications ... and is what led me to give this product a try. Thank you as always to Amazon for your customer-friendly return policies!

It is scandalous that this proudct advertises it works with the Mac -it's a handheld disaster. With 10.4.7, it will freeze your Mac and require rebooting. I seriously doubt they have spent any time trying to update the drivers for any changes to the operating system in years. Save your time and money, and pass on this.

This product has been horrible. I have been on the phone with tech support for hours and they now want me to send it to them because "it doesn't work" they claim. What a nightmare and so many precious wasted hours! Don't get this product! Stay away...

Sprint HTC Hero Google G3 LCD Touch Screen Digitizer

Sprint HTC Hero Google G3 LCD Touch Screen Digitizer
  • 100% compatible with HTC Sprint Hero/Google G3 (CDMA only)

I had a Sprint phone with a cracked screen and found this one not only at a great price, but it came with the plastic pry bar and a magnetic torx screw driver. There weren't any instructions with the product, but I got found a video at or (google "HTC Hero screen replacement)which basically shows a step by step on the replacement. You will still need a small phillips screw driver to remove the two screws on the motherboard. It was really pretty simple just take your time. There is a small rubber gasket under the cover at the top of phone that attaches to the motherboard. I kept getting a gap and found that you need to set the gasket on the motherboard before screwing down the cover. If not you may find that it binds in the camera lense slot. Other than that it fit perfect and now works good as new. The seller gets an A++ for price, packaging and speed of delivery. I am very happy with this purchase. Would definately buy from again. Thanks

My phone needed the screen with the rounded top, But I was sent one with a flat top... They did refund my money with no problem.

The digitizer works all right, but its form does not match my phone very well (my phone is a Sprint phone). There is a gap at the top of my phone where the original screen digitizer said "HTC" and Sprint. The HTC logo is at the bottom of the screen and is upside down on this new digitizer. Also, the digitizer seems a little more erratic to the touch than the original and it did not include the correct tools. So I don't really like it, but it is functional for me and is better than a broken screen.

Perfect. Looks great, works great, and I don't know why some people reviewing have had a problem with the orientation of the digitizer but mine came proper.

Worked as anticipated. I would order again. Made the phone new! If you are not savvy with electronics, you may want to get help installing ad there were no instructions.
