This leather case is good quality and well made. It's so bulky and heavy, however, that I'm returning it. It defeats the purpose of carrying a tablet.

The day after I returned this item I received a phone call from a very nice customer service person from PC Micro Store. She informed me that rooCASE makes another model that fits my Toshiba Excite 10 AT305 tablet. The other case (linked here)is 1 inch thick as opposed to the one I returned, which is 1.5 inches thick. She gave me the Amazon product number. When I saw the pictures, I realized that I had intended to order the case she suggested. The case I intended to order also has multiple grooves which allow for positioning the tablet at different angles. She also offered an exchange, but I had already returned the original case. I was quite surprised by the personal customer service provided by PC Micro Store, which seems rare these days.

I bought my Toshiba Thrive on clearance refurb. and many places don't sell them new anymore. So the accessory market has disappeared as well. My wife has a rooCase but it is MUCH different, that was the case I wanted but it appears to be nonexistent now. Everywhere I looked it was "out of stock" So I bought this one.

Don't get me wrong this IS A GREAT CASE, just not for me. This is for the person on the go that takes their tablet everywhere. Probably better for a businessman. Zipped up in case it is well protected, it has little pockets for some papers and business cards.

What I did not like: The stand to keep it upright just seems poorly placed. You have to put the zippers all the way open, and I mean all the way, it can be difficult to grab then to close if you have fat fingers. If you don't open then this far the open flap comes up from the table. This design also takes up more space as you can see in the product picture. You might as well have a wireless keyboard cause using it is a little harder due to distance of reach.

So in a nutshell look carefully at the design and if it fits your needs it is worth it, if not good luck finding what you need.

I'm used to the screen protectors from (they really are the best), which cover the entire screen and have a separate sticker for the button. They are thin, flexible, a little rubbery and you put them on using a little soapy water to remove all bubbles.

This is a stiff plastic with a cut out around the button. I guess I didn't clean the screen well enough because I've got a few bubbles that won't go away. And it has a weird sheen to it.

If I had to choose, I'd go bestskinsever every time but I tried to be cheap.

It works great and stays shiny. I'm still using it. But trying to get the air bubbles out of 3 of these, I pry the corners up to squeeze out the air bubbles and the corners never stick again. So sure it works and if you can get the bubbles out first I would expect this to be a 5.

I was looking for a cover for my new Kindle Fire and was looking for one that could prop it up so I could watch movies or just surf the web. I was looking at getting one that was about $35 but found this one and took a chance on it. I was pleasantly impressed. It stays in pretty well. However the cover that goes around the Fire doesn't fit snugly and there is some slack and the Fire slides around a little. Also, it's not a bright white color. I saw another review that said this but I'm alright with it. It's more of an eggshell color. So if that's a sticking point then you may not like it. Overall, I like it and it's held up pretty well.

The main issue I have is with the color. I know I ordered a white case, and I expected a "stark" white. This case isn't not what I would consider a "stark" white, it's more of an eggshell, it has a yellow-ish tint. So, if you are looking for a true white case, this is not it.

Otherwise, the features that I do like are how the Kindle Fire slides in. The case does do a good job rotating very easily. The holder roatates by a snap button, & works great. The case is made out of an decent material, that seems to be fairly sturdy & would withstand an accidental fall.

Having received a Handspring Visor for Christmas, I went a little crazy and bought myself this keyboard. Overall, it is useful, but there are difficulties: Used on a smooth surface, the PDA support, doesn't; and the near-corner keys (cap lock and right-arrow) are so stiff, you need a mini-sledge to get them to register. It will do for now, but I will probably look for a setup that is not as likely to drop or damage the PDA.

I just installed the Sony Clie screen protector on my NX70V. First of all, the installation didn't go smoothly. It was really hard to make sure that there's no air bubble. Then it was hard to hold and not touch the bottom side. I had fingerprints all over the thing.

OK, I finally had the thing on. But the protector already had my fingerprints and they were visible. So I decided to remove them. But removing it was no easy task. It stuck to the screen and I had to pry it off from the corner. I was afraid of scratching my screen so I spent a lot of time to slowly lifted one corner. Finally I got it off.

I think screen protector in general is more problem and it's not worth having. I'll use my Clie without protector from now on.

I also found that the screen protector seems like it does more harm than good. I don't see how anyone could think that this would protect a screen. It picks up fingerprints very easily and theres bubbles inside it that are impossible to get out.

I never used a screen protector on my Clie SJ20. When it burned out after less than a year, I got a SJ22 and bought a screen protector.

My SJ20 never had a mark on the screen. The screen protector on my SJ22, after one month, has so many marks from my stylus that it's hard to read in bright light. If you used thumbtacks instead of a stylus, maybe the screen protector would be helpful. Or if they sold for $.25 apiece and you replaced them weekly ... ?

I'll stick with using the stylus and throwing away the screen protector.

I have never written a review about a product before, but I was pretty upset with the product that it inspired me to do this. After many hours searching for an IPAD 2 case, I found this really nice productthe RooCASE 3n1 Leather case...I have had it for three days now, I really liked everything about the product when looking on various websites and thought it would be a perfect fit for what I was looking for. After opening up the case that has two zippers a few times, one zipper broke without a whole lot of pressure. There aren't a whole lot of things that should go wrong with a "fake" or very hard feeling leather case for the Ipad. I would think that someone would test the zipper for function more than 3-5 tries, and if it would break, you would improve on this product. It is a shame that it doesn't do the job that it was intended to do as I really like the concept. This appeared to be the nicer ones on the market, but if it can not deliver on quality, than it doesnt do anyone any good. This started out to be a great iPad case. The material is a very nice black leather and worked well to carry into appointmens. Includes a spot for business cards to slide in along with a pen or stylus.

The downside....the Velcro lost its stickiness within about 6 months. Eventually my iPad fell out and damaged the corner.

The portfolio can stand on its own or the inner case is Velcro removable and can also stand on its own. The stylus fits in the hand nicely and is lighter then a pen. I have the apple magnetic cover for my Ipad 2 and wanted something to carry it in that would protect it and look good. This fits the bill. Plantronics Audio 478 Stereo USB Headset (Audio 478)

This Plantornics Audio 478 Stereo USB Headset came to me via the Amazon Vine Reviewers Program. It was a timely for me because I had just ordered a new computer and was planning on setting up Skype. I am an avid Facebook user and recently learned that I will be having shoulder surgery, so I will be using voice activated software to keep up with Facebook and other computer tasks needing a solid headset with microphone to do so.

The Headset:

Solidly made, folds for storage with a small, but accurate microphone, this headset is comfortable to wear for long periods of time. It fits completely over your ears but it's not noise cancelling noise still gets through which frankly I like if I'm working so I can hear others come and go in the room.

The cord is about 6' long from the USB port connection to the headset. The control for on/off for Skype hits at about waist level when the headset it on me (I'm 5'6" with an average length torso). The boom for the microphone comes out from one of the earpieces. Because it rotates like the hands on a clock you can have it coming from the left or right whatever is comfortable for you. The headset is big enough to fit on larger noggins, and some with smaller heads may actually find it lose fitting.

Music and Gaming VS. Skype:

To use this headset with Skype you have to first go to Plantronics' website and download specific drivers that work with Skype. It's quick and easy to do so, and once I logged into Skype the software had no problem recognizing the headset immediately. Voice transfer was clear with only a slight echo occasionally. The microphone is noise-cancelling (giving a clear reproduction of your voice without noise in the room coming through too). Overall I'd rate it a 5 out of 5 for internet calls or video chat, using Skype, iChat or Windows Live Messenger. It works with both PC's and MAC too.

As for music playback I thought the sound to be lacking. I tried several genres of music, adjusted my PC's output to Bass Boost, etc..., but I really wasn't impressed with these headphones for true music enjoyment. I think it's adequate, but not much more in this area.

I also used this headset for playing the game L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition. I liked it, but hardcore gamers would find it lacking enough 'umph' I'm sure, and without the noise cancelling earphones, you have to turn up the volume quite a bit on your PC as sound is lost through the earpieces of the headset.

Conclusion:

These headphones are a good choice for those who frequently use Skype or similar chat software for work or pleasure. Also a good choice for software programs like: Dragon NaturallySpeaking Home, Version 11. However, they are not the best choice for music reproduction lacking depth of sound and noise cancelling earphones or for gaming, but do work for both. The headset is compatible via USB with both PC's and MAC. For my needs for Skype and voice recognition software, this headset will work great.

If you're more into music or gaming and want noise cancelling as a feature, consider these options: Plantronics GameCom 367 Closed-Ear Gaming Headset or Plantronics .Audio 655 USB Multimedia Headset which actually cost less and are geared towards those specific listening needs.

1/4/2012:

Used this headset for several hours while talking via Google Talk (free long distance calls through the end of the year 2012, but you need a Gmail account to do so...) on both local and long distance calls. All the calls were clear to both me as the user of the headset and to my call recipients. Actually the call recipients said that other than the number that came over caller ID, they noticed no difference in sound quality (me using this headset over the Internet) than if I was using a land line directly from my house. They said it was better than my cell phone for clarity (I have an LG Optimus with Virgin Mobile service).

1/16/2012:

Finding the headset to be uncomfortable on my ears after about 30 minutes. Call quality is still good, but not the most comfortable of wear.

These affordable corded headphones are OK, but not to fall in love with.

If you Skype from your laptop or desktop computer, and listen to music between calls, OK.

If you wear headphones a lot, you'll want better comfort and sound.

For "on-the-go," you could want something more compact.

I worked in customer service for awhile, and most that I've known use plantronics headsets. There is a reason for this.

When you first open the package you see the headset all folded up. It comes with a cloth bag as well that wouldn't protect it much, but might keep some dust off of it.

What I like about this headset.

Very lightweight, it may seem a bit fragile, but being lightweight is great for feeling good on the head.

Sound quality reception/mic is very good.

Very adjustable, the ear pads swivel which allow for a very comfortable fit.

What I don't like

The volume up/down/mute switch seems to be up to high. Instead of being able to hold it in my hand on my lap, I end up always having to reach for it, or grab it and spin it around to see if I'm muted.

The pickup/hangup button doesn't seem to work, I am on OS X and haven't installed any software, so this may be why, don't really need it.

Cords on both ears instead of just one

Bottom line, this is the best usb headset I've used, most comfortable, sound/mic isn't an issue, and it works great every time. I just wish there were a few small changes.

QUICK SUMMARY: This headset works well with my laptop computer. While using Skype, the sound I heard was very clear, like the person was sitting next to me. The other person reporting excellent sound, too -much, much better than when I used my laptop's built-in microphone. The fact that this set is foldable and more easily transported makes this a great headset to own. Highly recommended!

WHAT I LIKE:

Comfortable fit. I didn't feel pressure on my head or ears after wearing them for a while.

The sound I heard was excellent for voice (I don't use headsets for music)

The sound captured by the microphone was excellent (as reported to the one who heard me speak)

Foldable design makes them easy to stow or transport

The microphone boom kept away from my mouth (other headsets I've owned tend to bump into my mouth)

Plug-n-play performance. Windows 7 recognized it right away for me. No drivers to install.

Usually I can make a comment or two about what could be done to improve a product I review, even if there was nothing I particularly disliked about that product. With this headset, nothing really comes to mind about what could be done to improve it. A headset should be comfortable to wear, provide good sound through the earpieces, capture and deliver sound well through the boom microphone. This headset does all of that. As long as there isn't an issue with reliability, I have no qualms about recommending this Plantronics headset.

I use this set on a Mac PowerPC 2.0Ghz system. The Plantronics Audio 478 worked perfectly out of the box after plugging it into a powered USB hub. It's an excellent buy for $29.97. When using with Skype, access the Preferences/Audio. Select Plantronics .Audio 478 USB for audio output and input. The headset is comfortable, has excellent sound quality, and works as intended. My first call was on Skype for 1Hr +. I barely noticed the headset during the call. I played with the inline functions worked fine.

I was so excited to think that this would work with my hand held tablet and phone. It does not work very well. You have to be extremely patient to want to use this at all.

I paid less money for another Hybrid Stylus and it works far better. I was looking forward to this one because it was slim and would fit well with my Nook and it doesn't work well at all.
