Azden WMS-PRO Wireless Microphone System

Azden WMS-PRO Wireless Microphone System
  • LEDs on transmitter and receiver confirm system status
  • Ear-phone included to monitor sound being recorded and receiver plugs into camera?s external microphone jack
  • Transmitter and receiver use one 9V battery each
  • System includes: WR-PRO receiver, WM-PRO belt-pack transmitter, lavaliere electret condenser microphone and hand-held electret condenser microphone

I'm a bit surprised at the reviewer who gave only three stars to this system and said in his title: "I haven't used this system." How can anyone rate it without using it?

I've used this system for years and have gotten great sound. I've also used higher-priced wireless systems, and to my ear, there is no difference. Also, this cheap little Azden system is still going strong after some of the other brands bit the dust.

I don't think wireless lav systems can get the great audio you get with a shotgun mic, a boom, and a sound person, but those things are just not in my budget.

Buy Azden WMS-PRO Wireless Microphone System Now

The Azden wireless mic system is good value for the the money.

Out of the box and in operation in exactly 3 minutes.

There was one thing that was a problem, but it wasn't the mic's problem, it was mine. I didn't read carefully enough to notice that it was a mono input jack on the receiver unit. My camcorder requires stereo input. I needed to buy an adapter to convert mono to stereo input, so sound was pumped into both channels. ($2 jack at RS)

Seriously, this is a great wireless lavalier. I borrowed the Azden WMS-PRO from my college and used it for about a week. I have used more expensive brands and models that sound great, but for the price the Azden can't be beat! I will probably end up buying this one, but have been looking around for the best price on a different Azden model. I'm on a tight budget, so I will probably just go for the Azden WLX-PRO or the WMS-PRO. Azden makes great mics for the price.

I've used the Azden WMS-PRO Wireless Microphone System for more than one year now. I am overall very satisfied. I've used it almost exclusively to record audio for my Sony video camera. These videos either become casual demo videos for my work or I take the audio from the tapes to use for podcasts. The audio quality has been so high that I am able to use some recordings for future CD projects of storytelling and spoken word performances. I have high standards for my CD productions, so I was more than surprised to find such a high quality in this wireless system. I have also used the system to record onto my Video Ipod (via a separate-purchase plug in microphone attachment) where situations did not lend themselves to using a video camera.

Battery life seems to be good. I do, as a matter of caution, put new 9v batteries in the mic and receiver whenever I am working on a project that is important. I've never had a dead battery during a performance, so we've managed to eke out at least three hours from a standard 9v battery set. I use the batteries I've taken out for other low-power 9v items and I am surprised how much power is left in them. I know that's not very technical, but this process of replacing batteries has played well for me and I have no concerns about the battery life for this Azden system.

Initially, due to the light plastic construction, I thought that these mics were just "toys." I resisted the urge to send them back to Amazon immediately and I am glad that I gave them a chance to work for me. The set has proven to be very durable after having crossed the USA in my carry on bags dozens of times. I'd buy them again if I needed an additional set. They moved from my "quick, cheap fix until I can get expensive mics" to my everyday sound system for my work. I can' t remember the last time I used just the video camera microphone for anything other than recording my children playing with the dogs.

The only problem I've ever had was using this set in a very large high-school auditorium. The sound cut out a few times, but only for a moment. The camera was at the farthest point possible from my place on the stage behind some 700 people. I have used the set in a similar situation with fewer bodies in the audience, so I am ready to believe that the number of people insulated the frequency for this particular event. I also noticed that the sound cut out when I turned quickly up stage or down stage. In those events where I have little movement, there has never been any sound loss at all.

I'd suggest this system to anyone who might want to try out the "next step" from their current on-camera microphone.

Bought this for the coach's comments while recording soccer games. As long as I am on the same side of the field, everything is ok. But, if I am on the other side of the field the signal is very noisy or not there at all. Much less than 300feet quoted in the specifications.

This is close to the ideal situation, open field, no obstructions, outdoors.

So, if you are using this for close in work. Worth it. Get it.

If you want to push the range, find a different solution.

SanDisk 32 MB CompactFlash Card

SanDisk 32 MB CompactFlash Card
  • 32 MB memory
  • Removable data storage system
  • Ultra compact
  • High image quality
  • For use in digital cameras, PDAs, HPCs, personal communicators, and audio recorders

At 1024 x 768 resolution, this memory card holds 200-390 images on my Polaroid PDC-700 camera (that's like 8-16 rolls of film). The price and capacity are just right for weekend trips or special events. **Go crazy** and take pictures of anything and everything that catches your eye!

I took 89 pictures in 5 hours at my company's "Relay for Life" event on Friday, and really enjoyed not having to "budget" my photos or worry about running out of film. The image quality was excellent, and downloading was quick & easy with a digital film reader.

I'm planning a 2-week trip to Spain this fall, and am considering an additional 32MB SanDisk memory card just in case I get **Too Crazy**. Does anyone know if they make a storage case for spare memory cards?

Buy SanDisk 32 MB CompactFlash Card Now

When I purchased my digital camera (Kodak DC280) I included one of these for extra space. The card works properly and was at a good price. What else can you ask for?

Not much, unless you find that you sometimes take lots of photos. I guess that includes me. In which case you'll wish that you purchased a larger card. I bought the Viking 128mb card, and now feel completely prepared with the combined cards providing enourmous storage. Unless you are going to be away for an extended period, I can't imagine needing more space.

The bottom line is that this card works, but you need to really consider what your storage requirements will be so you can select the right size.

I have a 32 MB Sandisk Compact Flash card for my Nikon Coolpix 950, a 2-megapixel digital cam. This card will allow you to record about 50 pictures at the standard (640x480) resolution, so if you find you're not a 'power user' of your camera, it should be plenty and the dollars-to-megabyte ratio is right!

However, if you regularly shoot at higher resolutions such as 1600x1200 (i.e. 8" x 10" photo quality), you won't be able to fit 20 photos on this card. In that event, you might want to think about going for their 96MB card (also available from Amazon!)

With this size card you might also want to think about going for Sandisk's inexpensive USB card reader it's up to 50x as fast and a lot less hassle than hooking the camera up to the computer!

Want SanDisk 32 MB CompactFlash Card Discount?

I didn't realize that there are large differences between brands of CompactFlash cards until I purchased (thinking that I was saving money) an inferior, "no name" brand. The generic card literally fell apart on me.

After making that mistake, I researched through the tech boards and unequivically, the SanDisk and the Viking disks received the best reviews and the highest ratings.

I chose the SanDisk brand because its price was better than the Viking's without foregoing the quality as I had done previously.

This is a great buy at the current, discounted price. Take advantage of it while the sale price is still available!

The most common application for this type of memory card is a digital camera, but these can also be used with a number of electronic devices, including the HP Jordana, and even your laptop computer with a PC Card adapter. You can store any type of data on the cartridge, and they can be quickly changed between devices. I have never had a problem with any of my SanDisk Compact Flash Cards.

  • Portable hand-held scanner, with preview display for color and monochromatic images, documents, magazines

  • Lightweight and portable; carry it with you anywhere!

This is so useful. You'll only be limited by your imagination. choice of black and white or color scan as well as choice of the resolution for your item. This scans and gives you a preview so you know if you need to rescan before you put the item away. It scans receipts, pictures, anything you are wanting to archive that is up to standard paper size. I keep in my tote bag ready for anything. No charging uses two AA batteries.

I thought this would be my solution to the 2-3 things I wanted to scan in a magazine before donating them to the library. It seemed like it was going to be perfect until I noticed the bottoms were cut off every page I scanned. I tried scanning slow, fast and in between. I reset all of the settings and calibrated the white balance twice. Nothing worked. My scan would always show the bottom of the page not scanned even if I scanned the table, magazine page and let it run back onto the table. The scan would show wood, magazine page with bottom cut off and then wood again.

I called VuPoint's customer service but the woman I spoke to was more interested in chewing gum than offering any helpful answers or suggestions. She told me just to return it, which I did. I had no issues with the return and this review is on only my experience with the product itself.

I'm half tempted to get another one just to see if it does the same thing and if I ended up with a defective item but I'd rather try to find one in person to test out before ordering online again.

I am thankful for a scanner that is easy to take with me on the road. It only works on level surfaces so I can't scan pages in a book or anything like that. But for what I need, scanning receipts and documents, this is great. I was very pleased with how easy it is to use. Make sure you buy a mini SD card to go with it so you don't have to come up with one after it arrives!

I was very excited to purchase this product. Basically, it does what it's supposed to do. However, I had to return the product for a refund because the device does not let you save your preferred settings after power-off. It returns to the factory default settings each time. I confirmed this limitation with the manufacturer before I returned it. I don't understand why it would let you "save" preferred settings which are only "saved" while the device is on. I could understand if the saved settings would be lost when the battery dies or is revoved. But I don't understand why they are lost at power-off. For example, if you set the scanner to auto time-out after 3 minutes of non use, you have to reset your prefernces when you turn it on again. Or make no changes and just scan using the default settings--which are fine for most applications. Most users wouldn't find this to be a problem. It just happend to be a "deal breaker" for me.This was my only complaint. Otherwise, the unit functioned flawlessly. Hence the 3 star rating.

It is fantastic scanner, so fast (2-3 sec. per page), good resolution and result of scanning.

The only one comment is the minimum resolution is 300, to create pdf; it is big file size or reduce the image size by other software.

Fine Reader is version 8 (last one now is 11)

But at the end; it is very good item deserve the money...

MSI Computer Corp. 760GM-P23 AMD 760G + SB710 Micro ATX DDR3 1333 AMD - AM3+ Motherboard
  • CPU: Socket AM3+ Support 64 bit AMD FX/ Phenom II X6/X4/X3/X2/ Athlon II X4/X3/X2/ Sempron Series Processor; Support HyperTransport 3.0; FSB upto 5200MT/s
  • Chipset: AMD 760G + SB710 Chipset
  • Memory: 2x DDR3-1333/1066/ 800 DIMMs, Dual Channel, Unbuffered, Max capacity up to 16GB
  • Slots: 1x PCI-Express 2.0 x16 Slot(support Hybrid CrossFire); 1x PCI-Express x1 Slot; 1x 3.3V/5V PCI Slot
  • SATA: 6x SATA2 Ports, Supports RAID 0/ 1/ 10/ JBOD

  • Ports: 10x USB 2.0 Ports(6 rear, 4 by headers); 2x PS/2 Ports; 1x VGA Port; 1x DVI Port; 1x RJ45 LAN Port; Audio I/O Jacks
  • Power Connector: 1x 24pin Main Power, 1x 4pin CPU Power

The motherboard is overall very good for the basic consumer. However for the power hungry gamers and/or computer techs, like myself, you would have a few limitations on what other parts you can use. One problem is it can only support AMD CPU's with up to 95watts. My CPU was a 125watt so I had a few bugs with my rig that neither I nor several of my computer tech contacts could figure out until two months later (this limit should have been listed in the specifications but wasn't). The other limitation it has is that it has no PATA ports so you can't put your old hard-drive in to transfer data and you can only use SATA. So be careful what parts you get for it, they might not work.

Pros: Good performance for the basic user and has nice overclocking features if you know how to get into the BIOS.

Cons: Can't use a CPU over 95watts and can't use PATA drives

its a good board but as i learned later once i received all the parts to build the computer this was destined for this board has limitations. i ordered an fx 6200 amd cpu that runs at 125 watts. this board can handle up to 95 watt cpu. nowhere in the description does it say this. and i learned by reading the negative reviews this part had received. so all in all it is not what i wanted

I was on a tight budget building a new computer so I went with this because it had everything I needed at a cheap price. The onboard video is worthless to me because I wanted a higher performance video card for video editing. It only has three expansion slots and one is the video card but that was OK with me because I do not plan to add any cards. The big problem with this MB is the sound does not work with Windows 7. Prior to installing Windows 7, I was running Ubuntu and the sound worked fine. After countless hours reading forums of people with the same problem with MSI/Realtek/Windows 7 sound not working and countless hours of installing, re-installing new bios updates and audio drivers I finally gave up. Since my video card has HDMI, I just bought a new monitor with speakers and a headphone jack and now I have sound through the HDMI. I might go back so day and see if MSI/Realtek/Windows 7 have resolved their compatability issues, but for now I am content with the monitor. Other than the sound it seems to be working well with the CPU, RAM and video card.

I'm the recent owner of a Motorola Droid X. As far a smart phones go, it is a battery hog. I make it last a whole day by using an extended battery. This device will charge my extended battery 4 times. I can actually go on a normal week long business trip without taking charger, etc.

It charges quickly, and the best feature of this device is that it uses the Gomadic tips that are interchangable. Get a new device, get a new tip for $4.95. Buy the chargers/External Batteries/data cables, etc. one time and just change out the tips. Super easy, cheaper and convenient.

Gomadic shipping is quick, and they do stand behind their products (I've returned things and it is hassle free).

I'd 100% recommend this to anyone that is looking for this type of device.

UPDATE: I received the new unit yesterday and it was evident immediately that my first one wasn't working as well as the replacement. This unit is nearly or just as fast as the AC charger and it did over two full charges with the phone on too. I would definitely buy from this company again!

Original Review:

I had high hopes for this charger but my current unit unfortunately is just not living up to it's billing. First thing I notice is that it takes a LONG time to charge the charger. It will make it to 3 lights (est. 75%) within 2 hours but to get the last bit takes at least another 2 hours. Also, once that 4th light comes on it is not fully charged (at least my unit). If you disconnect after the 4th light comes on and then you test it pushing the button only 3 lights will illuminate. Charge it for another hour and then all 4 will stay on.

As for charging your phone, I have only been able to get about 1.5 charges even with the phone off. Starting at 30% then turning the off it takes about 2.5 hrs to get to 100%. I then used the phone till about 30%, then hooked up the charger again. It would only make it to 80-90% on the 2nd charge before going dead.

Finally, if you charge while you are using the phone it is very very slow, taking anywhere from 4-6 hrs to charge.

NOTE!! I contacted the company and they are going to ship out a new unit so I can see if it performs better. You can be sure I will update this review once I can test the new unit. They were very quick to respond to my e-mails and they did not expect me to ship this one back before they sent out a new unit. That is convenient!

This company, while offering many products as accessories to many different devices, does advertise and market products online that they know to be incompatible with the devices they claim their products will support. In other words, they are selling cheap, flimsy junk that does not work, in spite of the fact that some of their other products do work.

The kicker is that they are aware of these failings in their product mix, yet do not take action to rectify their web marketing or to satisfy customers. In other words, they are ripping some people off and not addressing the problem. This is considered theft by most law enforcement agencies.

My case was a battery extender pack. Gomadic was fully aware of their product's incompatibility with my device, yet continued to market and sell battery extender packs for the device on their website.

While I did get an email customer support response, the nameless individual did not have correct information regarding my order, indicated in writing that Gomadic was aware of their mistake, and promised to refund my money. No refund has been sent as of this writing, and quite honestly, I do not expect one.

My experience with Gomadic is terrible. They seem to be a shady operation that has little regard for overall customer satisfaction. Upon close scrutiny of their website, you can find spelling errors, incorrect info, and a slick, surreal, double-speak techno-babble copy style that equates to less-than-truthful advertising. While the $24.25 I lost on this deal is not a huge amount of money, the trust lost and market damage is considerable.

Honestly, I was surprised to find these guys on Amazon.

Mini Itx Tower Black with 150W Ps

Mini Itx Tower Black with 150W PsI ordered this for an HTPC build using an AMD A6-3500 with 4GB of ram (2x2). Needless to say, for the cost, I did not expect much from this case. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see a well packaged (double-boxed) and well made case.

The size is pretty good for a mini-ITX case it's not too big and not too small. The proportions are perfect for an HTPC it is wider and shallower than a typical PC case. It resembles the dimensions of an Xbox console being wider (or taller) than it is deep. Overall, I think it's a great size that will fit in almost any situation. It can also be situated horizontally or vertically using the adhesive rubber feet.

The quality of the sheetmetal is definitely a little higher than your normal budget case. It has an excellent "brushed" finish that resembles brushed aluminum from a distance. It feels like it's of good quality. The only slightly cheesy part is the cover. Closed, it looks fine (almost like a cable box or VCR or something) but it opens up to reveal the slim optical bay and power and HDD LEDs. The door on the left hides two USB ports and audio jacks (mic+headphones). The silver border between the two areas is the power button (pretty clever design element). All those plastic bits (the two covers and the power button) are a little cheap, but from a few feet away, look totally fine.

The top cover of the case comes off easily and it is actually very solid which might have something to do with the fact that it's so small. Then there is a top cover that can hold a 3.5" HDD (I think) or a 2.5" drive (or SSD) as well as a slim optical drive. There is a very quiet 150W PSU on the right side and a loud 40mm(I think) fan on the back left which uses a 3 pin fan connector). I used an ASRock A75M with an A6-3500 and the OEM CPU fan JUST BARELY fits under the optical drive bracket. I might add some ventilation holes because it covers half the fan and makes it a little louder than without. If you are not using a slim optical drive, it might even make sense to try mounting an SSD without the bracket in another area so there's more space to maneuver. The bracket itself slides into place without clunky hinges or stops. It is a very solid, simple, and elegant way to add drives to the system.

Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase. I would purchase this again for sure if I were to build another HTPC or small system.

BTW, so far this runs XBMCUbuntu very well without a discrete graphics card. I've played 1080p MKVs, BD images, Airplay videos from iPad and others.

It is wonderfully constructed and very sturdy. I can not comment on the power supply becuase I am using a micro supply and not hte one that is supplied. The case fan is loud so I did not use it. I did not need it anyway. This build was with a Zotac ION motherboard. The CPU fan hits the slim DVD slot so I cut away some of the metla to make room. Works great. I would by again in heartbeat.

Tried the cable on several devices and ports with no connectivity. Tried another cable from another company and it worked great. You buy a cable for only one purpose. Is it too much to ask to have someone test every cable before they attempt to sell? Shame on you Cables to Go and you too Amazon (for not screening your vendors better).

I bought this cable after trying a bargian version on Amazon 2 times. The cheap cables did not work. This one is perfect. It allows me to finally use my PC monitor's 2nd input for my MAC laptop as a alternate monitor. I use the laptop screen for things like email, while I use the larger monitor for creating and editing documents and presentations. Its really handy to have the extra work space, and it even works well with Spaces. I agree with the other reviewer about the shipping not being the fault of the cable. I think I just today discovered that its possibly to review products and merchants seperately. Ding the merchant for the poor service if thats appropriate.

  • Designed for iPhone, iPad and iPod iTouch,Galaxy Tab.
  • Soft touch pen-point for better screen-protection.
  • Precise touch and control, easily avoid pressing the wrong keys.
  • World First Replaceable Tip
  • Extra Rubber Tip included

When I bought my iPad, I immediately knew that I wanted to use it to take notes at work/school. To do so easily, I needed a stylus so I established a few requirements.

1. Same thickness and length as a pen.

2. Affordable

3. Aesthetically pleasing

4. Precise

This stylus meets all of those requirements. I've been using this stylus for the last few months and have not noticed any wear and tear on the stylus tip. The fact that it came with an extra tip that seems easily replaceable is a major plus for me. My handwriting on my iPad looks similar (not the same) as on paper, which is good enough to me. I think I'll be using this for a while. I even recommended it to some of my colleagues and they love it just as much as I do.

I like this stylus the best because it has no clip and I find clips are annoying when holding a stylus. I hate the clip that other manufacturers put on styluses (aka styli) for clipping it to your pocket. The clip gets in the way and makes a stylus uncomfortable to hold. Besides I'm not walking around with a nerdy stylus sticking out of my pocket This stylus has no clip so it is the most comfortable. As a bonus it comes with two tips so if one wears out you can screw it off and screw on a new tip instead of needing to buy a new stylus.

Protective Vinyl Skin Decal Cover for Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Tablet 10' sticker skins Crimson Trip
  • Add style to your Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Skin
  • Bonus! Free matching wallpaper
  • Quick and easy to apply
  • Protect your Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 skins from dings and scratches

This was exactly as it said it was. I did not read it closely, I had not wanted a sticker decal. The size of it was a bit off but again, I didn't use it. It looks really cool though. I gave it five stars because I can't fault the product or service for my mistake, haha. If you want a full decal for your tablet then this is a great option. If your not good at installing them, get some help, just in case, haha. I dont know how easy it is since I did not use it.

Fosmon 2 in 1 Bundle for Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7" Inch Tablet Device- 1x Fosmon DURA S Series TPU Ca

Fosmon 2 in 1 Bundle for Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7' Inch Tablet Device- 1x Fosmon DURA S Series TPU Case , 1x Fosmon Crystal Clear Screen Protector Shield
  • Protects your Kindle Fire HD 7 from scratches and scuffs
  • Custom cutouts for direct access to all device features
  • Soft touch and non-slip coating makes it easy to handle
  • Lightweight and slim fitting design adds minimal bulk
  • Custom made crystal clear screen protector to fit the Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7'

I love the case. Barely adds any bulk. Fits snugly on my kfhd. it's a nice cross between a hard case and silicone. the screen protector is horrible though. tons of bubbles that won't come out with the piece of flimsy plastic they give you to smooth it. my fingernails have been working better. otherwise, lines up great on the screen though... aside from bubbles probably easiest screen protector that I've put on. I'm hoping some of the bubbles settle out after a few days but it's not looking like it will.

I just got this case today for my new netbook. My netbook is an awesome yellow color (the samsung n150) so I was glad to find a case that let me show this off. I like that its more substantial than the average neoprene sleeve, thus allowing for more protection. However, its small enough to put in a purse or a backpack. Two thumbs up!

I bought these for my Dell Inspiron 3521 (15.6 inch) and my Acer Aspire 5253 (15.6 inch) and it fits both like a glove. One of them is my teenage daughter's laptop and I feel that it is very well protected in this case. I am very happy with this purchase!

It's actually an awesome case. Perfect fit for my laptop. Good protection (maybe not so much from zippers) and I get compliments all the time on it, but I open it constantly per class and at home and the zipper around the corners get caught or bend wrong and will no longer zip all the way. So I have no choice but to just slide it in with one of the diagonals open. Not much protection when I put it in my backpack with my other books....disappointed.

Solar Portable Charger (Red)

Solar Portable Charger
  • Keep your cell phone, iPhone, PDA, Music Player, Digital Camera and GPS tracking unit charged.
  • Equipped with SUN POWERED ENERGY source keeping internal battery fully charged.
  • The unit battery can also be charged through DC Car Charger and any USB port.
  • Includes charging adaptors for most popular cellular phones such as iPhone, Motorola, Nokia LG, Blackberry and Samsung
  • Includes handheld Video Game consoles charging adaptors such as Nintendo DS lite, Dsi, and Sony PSP

I received this as a gift and I have to say this is prob the best gift I ever received. I bought a used car a year ago and after I bought it I realized that where they installed the cd player they had to take out the cigarette lighter/car charging station. You wouldn't think you'd need this for so much. I couldn't use my GPS for long trips, if my cell died I had to wait till I got home, and my MP3 player was a big no-njo since it used a lot of battery life. This little thing charges all of that plus my childrens 3ds and PSP. I even use it in my house to save on the electric bill. It might not be a big money saver but it does help and I figure if I'm ever lost or stuck on a deserted island my MP3 player will always be charged.

iPad iPad2 iPad3 iPad4 iPad Mini Teleprompter R810-10 with Beam Splitter Glass

iPad iPad2 iPad3 iPad4 iPad Mini Teleprompter R810-10 with Beam Splitter GlassI got this cause I was looking for an inexpensive way to have a teleprompter small enough I can go to location shoot, I got myself a tripod dolly that would help me push the tripod around smooth floor and the teleprompter would be ideal for on location 'moving shots with prompter'.

I asked the company at first to make sure it works with my setup: I have a Canon t2i camera and a HVX200 camera. I got a quick response for the answer and after a week, I placed my order.

So, here's my experience with the prompter:

1. Setup

It took me a bit to figure out the instruction how to assemble the pieces together since the instruction with picture was done in b/w color, it was hard to figure out the 'bottom part' of the metal plate, if the curve area should face up or down, after 30 mins of monkeying around, I got it right.

The screws for the prompter were not as 'accomodating', when I got all the pieces screwed together, the screw head was still sticking out a bit. I figured it would be ok... Keep reading, I was wrong...

the Glass was good, the clothe that came with it is of a fabric that can easily attract animal hairs or foam, so I would suggest if you can, switch to a clothe typed that wouldn't be attraction prone.

2. setting it up with my DSLR T2i camera.

I was having a hard time to use the wing nuts to secure it to my tripod (which was a vivitar cheap tripod), the tripod's head screw was shorter, so it managed to secure it. When I screw the wing screw to the t2i, I had a hard time put my fingers between the top and bottom plate (it would be easier if you unscrew the prompter and do rescrew it back). then once I had the t2i on with the prompter, I realized it was wabbly.. Yeap, the screw was longer than the intended hole on the t2i. My thought, maybe I have to get a bolt cutter and cut it shorter, but then I realized, I can easily just get 1 or 2 washers and there, it secured.

HOWEVER, as mentioned, the screws that were used to put the prompter together doesn't stay flat on the surface, your camera would be a bit 'elevated' from the plate as it touches the screws' head.

Ipad was very much 'just flat laid' on the prompter, so if you 'hit a bump' the ipad may falls off, a easy solution: use velcro, tape one part of the velcro on the prompter and the other on back of your ipad case and viola! It is secured :)

2. Using it with the HVX200 and Manfrotto 351mvb2 with 501HDV head. Boy, this WAS a pain, because the prompter's screw's head was not flat with the plate, the quick release for the manfrotto 501hdv would NOT allow it to slide in. So I have to unscrew the top and bottom plates, put the quick release of the tripod on, secure it and then slide the quick release with the bottom plate back to the tripod, and then put the screws back to tighten up the top and bottom plates.

Oh and there is ONLY one hole you can use secure the tripod's quick release to, as the two plates washers to secure the screws are sticking out from the bottom, it is 'JUST about' made it to the corders of the Manfrotto 501hdv head... So you can ONLY tighten it in the 'middle' hole, and then.

Once the top and bottom plates are secured, you can then place the hvx200 on it, sort of secure it (the plate's screw heads gets into the way).

So that means, if I have to take this with me to location shoot, the best thing to do is bring a screwdriver and do the assembly on the stop. :)

Other then that, the prompter does work well. But the extra hassles doesn't warrant a 5

Like the title says, this is a great little tool to have in the studio considering the price but it's not exactly perfect. Insight Reviews has a video review on YouTube that goes into more detail and can explain better than I can in writing.

Just search YouTube for R810-10 review.

Buy iPad iPad2 iPad3 iPad4 iPad Mini Teleprompter R810-10 with Beam Splitter Glass Now

The simplicity of this product is nothing short of genius. I was initially concerned that about sacrificing video quality with my mid-level camera but if anything the addition of the cloth has improved the video quality. If you're looking for a working prompter this will work for you and leave you room in your budget to improve other aspects of your videos.

I was disappointed when the product arrived with the glass broken but the seller responded quickly and went above and beyond to make sure that I had a working teleprompter on my first shoot. The product was a little difficult to put together (I'm not mechanically inclined) and again when I contacted the seller they responded quickly and didn't let me go until setup was complete.

The chances that I'd write a positive review after having the product arrive broken were slim and none but the customer service really was above and beyond any experience I've had when faced with similar problems. I'm happy to support more people who run their business like these folks.

You really can't beat the TelePrompter for the price...it works as good as the higher end ones. I did have to modify some of the screws it came with so the mount would fit with my camera...very minor issue though.

This unit came well packaged and labelled, it works well in every capacity except the AV to TV. This just does not work. I have tried it on all four of my TV's with different cables, just to be sure and still it was to no avail. So if you're looking for a unit to send a signal from your iPAD to your TV, smart or otherwise you would be in for some degree of disappointment. Best Regards, Lorne Sandy.

I am one of those people that has to keep my iPhone looking pristine of course, I had to buy a film protector for it. I have tried many, and none compare to the Elago Smudge Free Film. It is so easy to put on, and I wasn't left with any bubbles or peeling. It prevents fingerprints from showing up on my screen, making it much more convenient and useful. It also protects it from scratches, yet I can't really can't even tell it's there. I would definitely recommend this product. Thank you Elago!!

I'd been trying to find a decent screen protector for a while and purchased this one. Yes, it goes on without bubbles and, yes, it prevents fingerprints and smudges. Unfortunately, it also dulls the sharpness of the screen quite a bit. I thought I could get past it, but honestly, if you can't enjoy the sharp visuals on the iPod Touch, what's the point? The home screen especially was much blurrier. Finally I just gave up, peeled the thing off, and threw it away. That was about a month ago. I haven't used a protector since and I've enjoyed my Touch every bit as much. Rather than frustrate myself time and time again looking for the perfect case and protector, I'm simply going to be more careful with the screen and enjoy it without the accessories.

After trying other screen protectors for the iPod touch2g, I stumbled on Elago's smudge free protector. I decided to purchase 2 just in case I couldn't get the first one right. The biggest complaint Ive seen is that bubbles appear as you apply the film. As it turns out, Elago's film goes easily without ANY bubbles. The film also withstands fingerprints just as its advertised. I strongly recommend this screen protector for your iPod touch 2g if you are in the market for one.

Transcend 8GB SSD, 2.5- Inch, IDE, SLC

Transcend 8GB SSD, 2.5- Inch, IDE, SLC
  • Form Factor - 2.5" - Internal
  • Dimensions WxDxH - 69.85 x 100.00 x 7.40 mm
  • Weight - 80g
  • Connector -- 44-Pin standard IDE/ATA connector (Pitch 2.0 mm)

I bought this drive some months ago to replace an aging hard drive in my P-III system and boost system speed over-all.. The data transfer speed increase with this drive was just amazing. Zero seek time and screaming data transfer rates compared to a 5400 RPM IDE running on UDMA mode 5. Plus system noise, heat and power have all been reduced.

Sure it is very expensive per MB compared to a regular hard drive, and it's only 8GB, but when you're working with older systems and don't need tons of GB, these SSD drives are an absolute joy to work with. Just remember, people, if you're going to use these as the primary OS drive, buy the SLC version like this one.

Unlike another reviewer, I say there's still plenty of market for this drive. A adapter (2.5 to 3.5 IDE, which I'm using) allows you to use this in desktop computers. Another adapter which I've seen available makes it usable in desktops that are limited to only SATA drives.

A tiny tweak will allow you to move all your personal data off onto another drive without changing how you use the interface so the size is no problem. All of my data and any app which does not need to be installed exists on a seperate drive keeping my OS partition cleaner. I have 98 (6 second boot) and XP (11 second boot) co-existing on less than half of this drive.

Downside is that the connector is unkeyed, meaning it's possible to hook the cable up incorrectly. Other than that, it's a great drive.

The tweak, for those interested, depends on the OS in use.

I know Linux only enough to know it's possible.

Win9x needs a registry change (Check HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders for possibilities and put the ones to be changed in User Shell Folders) and reboot, then copy the files.

On XP, this can be done in Explorer simply by dragging the appropriate folders elsewhere (this works in 9x, but Explorer gets confused sometimes).

Good ones to move (for space) are Desktop and My Documents.

I picked up this drive as part of my little project to get my old PowerBook G3 (lombard) working again (just for fun really).

This drive works great in this us and makes the old PowerBook almost snappy.

Considering this is a laptop drive with an IDE interface, there probably isn't much of a market that can take full advantage of it. I installed this drive on an older laptop. While there was a noticeable increase in access time, it was almost a waste how fast it was, given that the board had only a 66MHz bus speed. I had a slightly newer laptop which also accepted the drive but all things considered, I preferred the 60Gb drive that was already in it.

The newer laptops all have SATA interfaces which is really the only way to appreciate the benefit. The limited space on the drive severely limits your OS options. I suppose it could make a good swap drive but that involves buying an adapter for use in a desktop machine. Before you buy this drive, you ought to consider what you're using it for. Also consider that for the money you could get a MUCH bigger drive, only a bit slower.
