USB RF Wireless Handheld MCE Keyboard

USB RF Wireless Handheld MCE KeyboardI have found using the mouse pad is mostly what I use this for. I have used the keyboard section from time to time but I use it in the living room as a remote control to watch movies and check and see if I got email. If responding to an email is warranted I get up and use a normal keyboard. The back light is a great feature BUT you have to find the one button on the board to get the back light going and its not easy. The space bar is easy to find so you can pause and play videos using it. When it falls asleep I just mash down on the keyboard a few times to wake it up. It blinks a light when its on as it 24/7 making it easier to find. The charge lasts a long time I think its a couple of months between charges and I found that when the mouse pad is slow to react and the pointer gets jittery its letting you know a needed charging is coming. takes about an hour. The most annoying thing is you have to hold the pad very delicately from below the keypad to get your finder input on the touch pad to respond. Its still working just as it did when I got it, no reliability issues at all.

This one doesn't work out so well. Each time it goes to sleep, it can't see the connection when it comes back. Moving on the touchpad produces intermittent movement on the screen. In order for the device to be useful, you have to reset the USB connection. This means you have to unplug the USB radio, wait a moment, and plug it back in. You must do this every time you don't use the device for more than 5 or so minutes.

While it is working, it works well enough. The key layout is illogical (left and right arrows are opposite the space bar, and opposite their expected sides, for example). The key presses don't always register, and the tactile feedback is like the buttons are filled with sand, rather than making a solid contact.

Overall, it is only barely functional. Great form factor, though. If my experience is to be expected, i would not recommend.

This works well for my Home Theater Computer. I mostly use it to navigate Netflix and watch movies.

Going to sleep too fast is not that big of a problem. It's a one button push and you are back in business.

Short learning curve on the touchpad.

I recommend for HTC application.

Magicolor 5670EN Color Laser

Magicolor 5670EN Color Laser
  • High speed from first page to last: magicolor 5670EN color laser printers produce 9600 x 600 dpi-class PhotoART contone color and B&W prints at speeds up to 37 ppm and feature a monthly duty cycle of 120,000 prints.
  • Network and local connectivity: Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000BaseTX), IEEE 1284 parallel and USB 2.0 interfaces connect work teams including Windows, Mac and Linux users.
  • Built-in Emperon Print System: With PostScript 3 and PCL 6 emulations, plus native XPS functionality for Windows Vista systems.
  • Exceptional Color Control: With eAIDC (enhanced Automatic Image Density Control) calibration, the magicolor 5670EN delivers consistent color accuracy page after page.
  • Broad media support up to banner size: Print on an array of paper sizes from postcard to 8.5" x 47.24" banners and on a variety of office papers.

I've had the 5670EN for about 4 months now and bought it to support my wife's wedding invitation business. She typically prints 100-600 sheets per month on a variety of paper thicknesses up to 80lb cover stock. The ink jets were just killing us on cost, going through several hundred dollars a month in ink. But the Canon MX420 handled thick paper with no issues and had good quality prints. So I ordered the Konica Minolta to help save some money on printing. It arrived and was very big and heavy which was expected. I assembled everything and used the side loader to try a thicker stock. The fuser will not produce enough heat to work on thick stock such as 80lb cover (216gsm). In fact, it won't even print well on the stated max thickness (210gsm I think), my guess is because it is not as smooth. So the manual feeder is basically worthless to us.

The reason I still am giving this printer 4 stars is it work very well and is very inexpensive for regular thickness paper. I have it on my network and all computers in the house can print to it. It cranks out 100 prints in minutes with no fading, striping or page to page variance. So we now use this printer exclusively for some types of prints on regular thickness paper, but I bought another excellent inkjet that is very cheap to operate and can do any thickness practically up to plywood. We have to do some color matching in Photoshop if a client's job uses both printers, but it's worth the time for the money it saves.

One other note is the replacement toner is about $570 for CMYK. This comes with starter toners which haven't even shown their levels budge yet after a thousand prints or so. That's the reason I didn't return the printer when I figured out it wouldn't do the thick paper. The starter toner is worth about what the printer sells for less return shipping.

original of 5 stars. updated to 2. ----I run a custom printing business and it took me a while to get used to this. This has so many options it took a lot of trial and error to get all of my colors just right. It also printed too bright (looked washed out), luckily you can even adjust the brightness and contrast by 15% each, so I set bright to -15%.

This prints true to color and the best color I've seen from a printer.

~update, starter toner lasted 3500 pages, found the sheet that said it was estimated at 6k, so seeing as i use 30% coverage (according to stats page) that's pretty good.

--------------------------------------------

update 10-29-12: this printer isn't worth it. one problem after another. tech support is pretty good, but don't follow up on problems. so when the problem persists you have to wait on hold again, or if the tech person never shows up after a week you have to call again.

my first major problem was 1.5 months after having it, it started jamming. they sent a new fuser, and tech installed it. still got random jams. tech guy came out and he said it was curling the paper the wrong way, causing the jam. but to flip the paper so the natural curl of it was the other way. it doesn't matter which way the paper is i still get random jams.

ad that to the fact the new image drums (need to be replaced after 15-30k pages depending on use) cost 2x as much as the new printer. who would do that when you can buy a new printer? i'm sticking to xerox and so far my oki printer is ok

Great output, the toner is a bit expensive, but I have been using the Konica type instead of the cheaper "compatible" type. Very fast printing and pretty much perfect color output. The toner and processing units are extremely easy to replace and I haven't had any issues. The waste container seems to get full pretty fast, but they can be emptied out and a new one is pretty cheap (I rotate between three of them). So if you want some professional looking printouts, this is a good printer, I have had it for about 7 months and we have several people that use it all day long and it still seems to be a pretty solid printer.

This is a nice printer, well packaged when it came, user friendly so far. Has drawer for paper instead of tray that sticks out.

This is a great printer brilliant color and all diferent size paper it is also really fast. I have this printer and would recomend it to any who needs a heavy duty color printer! This printer is worth every penny and is much cheaper in comprasion to a similar canon or brother or Ho!

HP FA118A#ABA iPAQ Foldable Keyboard for H2200, H3800, H3900, H4100, H5000, H6300, RX3000, and HX470

HP FA118A#ABA iPAQ Foldable Keyboard for H2200, H3800, H3900, H4100, H5000, H6300, RX3000, and HX4700 Series
  • High portability and ease of use
  • Standard keyboard layout
  • Functionality equal to a full-sized standard keyboard
  • Wide range of language formats
  • Charge your iPAQ Pocket PC while using the keyboard through the power pass-through jack

I have the IPAQ 4150, which is limited in the accessory department. I first bought an IR keyboard to find the transmitter wouldn't work with my IPAQ due to the fact the IR port is on the bottom of the unit. So after a trip back to the store, I broke down and bought the HP brand. I wish I had bought it here, because my local electronics store was twenty dollars more. My only complaint is the keyboard wobbles while typing, because the back support rest is about half an inch to short to prevent this. One could probably fix this by weighting the back end a bit.

It's hard finding a keyboard that works with your pda. I ending up getting this one for my rx3115 and do not regret it. Check around for prices, but this is a nice one. I prefer the kind that hook up to the serial port and don't require batteries. You don't have to worry about the PDA falling off or the batteries running out.

The keys are very solid, which is very different from most other foldable keyboards which are more like flimsy laptop keyboards. Also the keyboard itself is very sturdy and won't fold up in your lap. It doesn't fold at all, actually, the keys slide out sideways. I like this design better than the others which fold like napkins.

The only drawback is that this keyboard is smaller, but I got used to it within a day.

Also, it's not mentioned in the instructions, but you do have to have turn the PDA off and then on to get the PDA to recognize keyboards like this that hook up via the serial port.

I first bought this keyboard in 2004. I used it from time to time and was quite pleased with it until certain keys suddenly no longer worked. Hewlett Packard replaced it as it was still under warranty. A few months later, the same keys (P, O, etc.) suddenly stopped working on the replacement keyboard. The ribbon cable on the right side of the keyboard (inside, you can't see it) is about 1/4 inch too short so that opening and closing the keyboard puts a tension on the cable which eventually causes it to break. It could possibly be avoided if you open the keyboard slowly and very gently. It seems to be the only keyboard that does not need batteries. I would consider buying another one, but it's too bad that HP didn't add another quarter inch of play to the cable.

This keyboard gets the job done, compact, folds away nicely. The downside is that unlike most othe PDA keyboards it plugs in instead of using wireless or Bleutooth. It also lacks a power source (ie. battery, Ac adapter) and can drain your PDA's battery. The main positive is that it is compatible, the only keyboard compatible with this set of HP products. Oh one other thing, if you're using POCKET PC windows 2003 or newer your gonna need to download a new driver from HP's website, as what they packadge with the product is now old and no longer compatible.

This keyboard is incredibly useful. It's almost like having a full size keyboard (it is slightly smaller and I know those with big hands have complained it is too small... I don't have that problem so I haven't noticed) and it folds up nice and compact (it fits in my purse quite nicely along with my ipaq and I don't carry the biggest of purses, I hate big purses).

The keys have a nice feel to them and for me the keyboard has lasted 2 years (your mileage may vary, I can't say I've been super tough on it either though). Not one key has problems.

They include a lot of nice shortcuts (using their function key combined with the right key you have shortcuts to word, excel, calendar, tasks, outlook, contacts, notebook, and you can even turn off the PDA (but not on).

The ability to power it up through a hookup for your power cord while using it is a very nice touch.

And the key layout is nice. As I said, it's like having a slightly smaller keyboard (but they keep the ratios the same). They give you a decent sized backspace key (I *hate* small backspace keys). The return button is a nice size. It has all the basic functions of a laptop keyboard (minus mouse) including the windows button (in my opinion more useful than on a PC just because how I use the handheld vs. the PC). It even has a number keypad (kinda, you have to get it in numlock mode and use the keys set out to be the number keypad). And it has arrows even (layed out properly). I think my biggest issue is I wish it had the function button on both sides of the keyboard. Actually, I think it would have been better if they put it on the other side rather than on the side they did. That would make it easier to use without moving my hands from proper typing position from the keyboard (all the keys serving as a double for the function key are on the same side as the key except the off button).

If they stop supporting the same hookup on newer ipaqs I hope they make a version of this keyboard to support the newer ipaqs. I'd rather use this keyboard than the other ones on the market. I didn't give it five stars cause I did consider some people may prefer having a true full size keyboard (I don't notice the difference but it's been mentioned and it has caused some people problems. Personally I'd prefer it to be slightly smaller and fit in my purse better like it does already :) ).

PalmOne Zire 72 Hard Case P10968U

PalmOne Zire 72 Hard Case P10968UThis case is quite sturdy, nice-looking, and the zire fits very snugly. The sliding cover over the camera is very nice.

However, the thing is practically impossible to hold in your left and hand and use. The cover swings to the left, leaving nowhere to put your hand to hold it. Fine if you just use it at your desk (or if you're a leftie), but then why do you need the hard case?

The other problem is there's no way to attach a belt clip. Again, great if you're only using it at your desk... Why couldn't they just have a screw point on the back, so you could attach a clip or not if you need it?

My husband bought this for work, where his pda receives rough treatment in an industrial environment. It does provide the necessary protection, but little other practicality. He had to buy a separate case (a bulky Targus universal case/pouch with belt loop, which the hard case fits into) to carry it around with him. He still hasn't worked out the problem of how he's supposed to hold it.

Basically, it lives in the case at work, but comes out as soon as he leaves--not exactly ideal.

The good thing about this hard case is that it'll protect the handheld. Those who are left-handed will have no problems, but us right-handed will find it very unconfortable. Since it does not fully open,(the picture above that displays as open as it can be) the case will be in your way to hold it. An other thing that I didn't like was that in order to retrive the expansion cards held in the hard case, you have to take off first the handled in order to be able to get the cards.

I wouldn't recommend this hard case if you are right handed

Buy PalmOne Zire 72 Hard Case P10968U Now

I was very eager to get this case for my new Zire 72. It's certainly a beautiful case, but not very functional. The front cover doesn't flip all the way under, so that if you're holding it with your left hand, it's difficult to reach the control buttons with your left thumb, as you should be able to. You cannot access the voice recorder button or the slots for the expansion cards unless you remove your zire from the case. Also, the top and bottom are completely open, which provides ready access to the slots, etc, however it does nothing to protect my zire from debris, etc, from the bottom of my purse. Also, the cradle impedes my access to the stylus slightly.

I do like the sliding window in the back that opens so that I can take pictures and video, though.

Read Best Reviews of PalmOne Zire 72 Hard Case P10968U Here

The hard case is an excellent product. Since this case was built specifically for the Zire 72, it will fit snugly. While I'm sure the hard case is easier for lefties to use, I have not had any trouble cradling it in my left hand and using the stylus in my right. (Hint: When the hinges open up, there are gaps in the outer case. Place a finger or thumb in that gap and the hard case is easier to cradle. If your hands are too big to do that, then you probably won't have any trouble cradling the hard case anyway.) The hard case has many excellent characteristics with few shortcomings:

Pros:

(1) Case is quite sturdy and will protect your Zire 72 casual drops or just the normal hazards of a commute on a subway or airplane.

(2) A sliding port on the back to allow one to use the camera without removing the PDA from the case.

(3) An open top to provide access to the card slot, on/off button, earphone plugs, and stylus.

(4) An open bottom for the power cord and mini-USB cable.

(5) The case is small enough to slip into a shirt pocket or the breast pocket of a suit.

Cons:

(1) The voice memo button is covered up by the case. You may want to consider reprogramming one of the other buttons to take that role.

(2) No storage for the Palm's WiFi card.

(3) You must remove the PDA from the hard case to put it into any other holder such as a car cradle or belt carrier. On the positive side, the Zire 72 slides in and out of the hard case with little effort.

(4) While the hard case has storage for two additional cards (normal sized, not WiFi), you must remove the PDA from the hard case to get at them.

Overall, I really like the hard case. It is classy enough that you can use it in a roomful of CEO's or college professors, but also tough enough to protect your PDA from the hazards of a daily commute

Want PalmOne Zire 72 Hard Case P10968U Discount?

I bypassed many universal cases to wait for this one. I chose it mainly because my Zire 72 fits snugly, it offers excellent protection, and the inclusion of the camera door. I do agree that the left-swinging cover takes some getting used to, but I don't think it's as much of a problem as the other reviewers. I got used to it fairly easily.

I have two problems with this case. One is the lack of access to the voice memo button. The other problem is the expansion card holders behind the handheld; you have to remove the handheld from the case to get to the holders. Other than these minor problems, this is an excellent hard case. If you don't use the voice memo function often or use a lot of expansion cards, I would recommend it to anyone with a Zire 72.

BoxWave mini Capacitive Stylus for Apple iPad, iPad 2, and Amazon Kindle Fire (Crimson Red)

BoxWave mini Capacitive Stylus for Apple iPad, iPad 2, and Amazon Kindle FireI have a Samsung Rogue, and while I like it, doing anything with the internet browser is difficult, with teeny tiny fields for entering your information. I have had to try several times with my fingertip to select the fields. The pen is perfect for that. I initially got this tiny stylus with the strap because I thought that attaching the stylus by inserting it in the headphone jack I wouldn't lose it. Unfortunately, inserting it in the headphone jack activates headphones and I cannot use the phone normally, that is, I cannot hear anything from the receiver. Otherwise, it works great.

it works marvelously, except it's a bit short to grasp and use effectively. the tip works very well. i just bought the larger version and am thrilled.

Need I say more? Used to take notes at meetings using "Notes" software on my iPad. Works as good as any other means of handwriting input, with a compact form factor that means that I won't be caught without it. Clever design to use the audio jack as a tether connection.

I have both the longer version of this product and this one. There are merits to them both. The thing I like about this one is how small it is. I recently upgraded from an ipad to an ipad2 (yes, I'm a consumer whore). The case I had for the ipad had a holder for a stylus but the case I got for the ipad2 does not. I really like that you can plug the stylus into the headphone jack and just toss it into your bag. The smaller one is better for that method of storage. But I have found that my hand fatigues after extended use in ways that it didn't with the longer version. You have to use more of your hand muscles to stabilize the stylus during use. The longer version rests on your index finger the same way a pencil does. If I were trying to decide between this one and the longer version, I would think about which is more important to you; convenient storage (less bulk) or extended use. And do you need it to be very accurate? With the longer version, it's easier to do things like actually writing since it feels the same as a pencil. Both are equally effective as far as their function as a stylus. The ipad(2) registers contact with them with minimal pressure. If they had made the shorter version about half an inch longer, I would have given it 5 stars. In my opinion, it's just a little too short if you want to use it for more than 10-15 minutes at a time but is perfect traveling/quick usage.

It's hard to review cables, but there is a discernable difference between brands. Generally, Belkin is the best in terms of materials, construction, and performance. Some Belkin products I've purchased have a vinyl cover that emits a distinctly unpleasant odor, but this product didn't. Performance was reasonable disk-to-disk transfers ran about 50 MB/sec, but I'm not sure the cable is the limiting factor. My recommendation purchase this cable rather than something cheaper. This was much better than I expected. Well made and looks like it will last at least a few years under regular usage. Perfect for lightweight items. Fits adult wrist fine.

This is a gift for Doug Benson. So if you see him with this, it came from here.

I couldn't be happier with my iPad cover. It looks much costlier than it actually was. The leather is a good quality and the workmanship is excellent. The blue strap is both useful as well as adds to the overall look of the cover.

VG Neoprene Laptop Sleeve for Lenovo IdeaPad Y Series 15.6 inch Laptop Models Y580 / Y570

Magenta Zebra Fur Covered Neoprene Laptop Sleeve for Lenovo IdeaPad Y Series 15.6 inch Laptop Models Y580 / Y570This case is not a good fit for the Y580. The laptop fits snugly side-to-side, but front-to-back there is over an inch of extra unused space in the case. A universal 15.6 inch case I purchased at a big box store fits much better.

PalmOne Travel Charger for Mini USB Handhelds P10998U

PalmOne Travel Charger for Mini USB Handhelds P10998U
  • Automatically adjusts to all voltages and frequencies in the U.K, Europe, and Australia
  • For use with Zire 21, Zire 31, Zire 72 and Tungsten E

I love my new charger. It is much sturdier than the original charger that came with the product. It was cheaper as well then in store and on the palmone web site.

The travel charger is great. It lets you charge your Palm regardless of what the voltage is wherever you're at and works with four different kinds of sockets.
