Zardro Nano UV Disinfection Scanner (AS SHOWN)

Zardro Nano UV Disinfection Scanner
  • Lightweight & convenient cell phone sized portable scanner.
  • Operates on 2 AAA batteries - Included.
  • Tested by independent laboratories world wide.
  • Proven effective for home, office and travel use.
  • 10 second timer switch for safe UV usage.

The Zadro is small and folds closed like a small flip cell phone. It can easily fit in a pocket or your purse.

The Zadro only has one button that you press and hold for about 10 seconds. The purple light will come on along with a Red LCD light to let you know that it's working.

All you need to do is simply hold the light over an object like a phone, toilet seat, keyboard, etc for 10 seconds and the unit is supposed to kill all of the germs.

Unfortuately, since I'm not a scientist, I really cannot tell if germs are being killed.

Unfortunately, the product worked intermittently for the first week or so then it stopped working altogether. I was pleased that it was powerful enough to do it's job in 10 seconds and had hoped to use this product for many years. Don't know if this was typical of this product or just with the one I received.

This is a great item to have now that the swine flu is so prevalent in NYC. I have not yet used it on the subway, but have used it on supermarket cart handle, computer keyboard, work telephone and my remote controls. It is very compact and looks just like a cell phone. I will be using it on the silverware next time I dine out.

The large one was purchased initially to scan for dust mites, for our family's asthma/allergy sufferers. While I've used it to that end, I've not been consistent with it. Rather, it has been used primarily at home, on meat. Nearly 2 years living in the Third World and so far no stomach bugs. I recently purchased the smaller model for travel, due to its portability and inconspicuousness, to use on street vendor food and in hotels. So far, I am well-pleased.

Title

TitleI had a Body Glove on a phone prior to purchasing my smart-phone & it served me very well. Unfortunately, this one for my smart-phone did not hold up well. I had to open the case for whatever reason on a couple occasions to access the internals of my phone; the case was difficult to open & did not reseal or close tightly again where the two covers converge. I now have a rubber Trident I got off of e-bay which has worked better for me.

Purple Heart Design Rubberized Snap on Hard Skin Shell Protector Cover Case for Pantech Impact P7000

Purple Heart Design Rubberized Snap on Hard Skin Shell Protector Cover Case for Pantech Impact P7000 + Belt ClipI agree with other reviews that the clips holding the case on can be a little flimsy. But I'm really glad that one of the clips on the case broke instead of my brand new cell phone getting scuffed! And $5 isn't really bad at all for a phone case. I'm going to buy a bunch of them so I can switch whenever a clip breaks.

I really like the design of the case. The top of the case broke already but the phone is pink so it all still looks good. Happy with having a cover. And the price with shipping was better than anything locally that I could find for my phone.

Finally, this memory works great for me with this motherboard and it was quite easy to install and setup (just turn on your xmp in bios). (I bought it to install under my Noctua NH-D14)

BoxWave Dell Axim X51v VGA Presentation Cable

BoxWave Dell Axim X51v VGA Presentation Cable
  • Provides notebook quality VGA resolution, color presentations, and ultra-sharp text and graphics. Perfect for making presentations on the go!
  • Enables you to show anything from your Dell Axim X51v to a projector or any VGA monitor, including large plasma displays
  • You can show slideshows, flash animation, and presentations with your Dell Axim X51v
  • Additional feature of BoxWave's VGA Presentation Cable is that it also allows you to simultaneously keep your Dell Axim X51v charged and synchronized to your computer
  • Extended cable length allows extra distance from the VGA display when needed

I thought I was ordering the Presentation Cable with Extended length and built in usb cable, etc, etc....like they say in the product description. However, instead of a long cable with multiple connections for my PDA baby, I got a stubby little converter that allows you to connect to a monitor, projector or other VGA line. While this connection is a large part of what I wanted, it is hardly everything I expected for the grand sum of 50 dollars (44 + s&h). I expected to have both a VGA connection and a secondary charging cable for my money, so that I could charge/sync my PDA (especially given the crummy battery life of the Dell Axim x51v) at work as well as at home without having to cart around a charging cable or cradle (really, one and the same thing since to charge with cradle the cable must be connected to it). I am very disappointed...how much would it cost to include, at the very least, a usb cable with this connector? I'll definitely be looking to get my money refunded by either Amazon or the seller I got this from, Electronica Direct.

rooCASE Dual-View Multi Angle Leather Folio Case Cover for Barnes and Noble NOOK Tablet / NOOKcolor Nook Color eBook Reader
  • Dual-View Multi Angle Leather Cover for Barnes and Noble NOOKcolor / NOOK Tablet
  • Genuine Leather with Micro Suede Interior.
  • Detachable Inner Sleeve for Handheld Operation; Sleeve Reattaches to Folio by Velcro for Landscape or Portrait viewing. (Helpful Tip in Portrait Mode 1. Please bend the fold directly below Velcro for a few seconds to help soften the flap 2. Position the inner sleeve in portrait mode against one of the three grooves 3. Velcro the inner sleeve to the top of the outer cover so that approx 2 1/4 inches is between the two)

I use my Nook Color daily. This case has held up very well over the last few months. Holes are in the correct places. I generally keep it in the entire stand housing either vertically or horizontally. You will have better speaker quality if it is out of the stand housing. A few times I have stood it up vertically using the stand/velcro like showing in the picture, and there have not been any issues. It is a definite great buy! I bought it in red, pink, and black for my family.

Fits my Nook Color well. Not sure if the material is real leather, but I doubt it since the price was low. Has a weak magnetic flap that covers the screen when not in use. Case is in two pieces, the cover around the nook, and the stand portion, which includes the front flap. Pieces attach to each other via Velcro. One thing I did not like, is in order to stand the nook up in portrait mode, you have to un-Velcro the two pieces, rotate it, and stick it back. I would like to have had the two piece connect in a different manor, which would make it easier to rotate the nook 90 degrees. This is my only reason for not giving it 5 stars.

Title says it all. First, it doesnt fit the Nook well. Part of screen covered up by leather. It's likely not real leather cowhide but cheap "leather look vinyl". Item had an odor to it. But it's made in China what would one expect. I'm likely going to return this for a different one. Don't buy this. More Chinese junk, if I would have known this ahead of time I would not have purchased. The pictured item did not match exactly what I received either. Avoid.

I bought this sleeve even after reading all the the reviews. I have a Skinomi protector which covers the entire device so I wasn't worried about scratches. I make sure I take the cover off by gripping it closest to the spring release mechanism. I don't think it is worth $40. I think bought it with coupons. The magnets are a little weak but when I purchased it but I didn't expect strong ones as Asus recommends keeping the Prime away from magnets.

****I would like to edit my comment on it************

Broke after two months worth of use. Thank God I did not pay full price on it. Concept is great, product attachment is horrible. I was no rough on the cover as I had kept my Prime in pristine condition and was very careful with using it.

DYMO DateMark Electronic Date/Time Stamper (47002)

DYMO DateMark Electronic Date/Time Stamper
  • Electronic date-and-time stamper
  • Large LCD for easy reading
  • Programmable calendar
  • Prints 4- or 6-digit sequential numbers
  • Uses 4 AA batteries (not included) and 1 lithium coin cell (included)

No other stamp does automatic date/time in such a small portable package. Unlike a regular rubber stamp, you never have to set the date again after first use, and it also can stamp the time.

There are 4 fields available date, time, message, and 4-digit or 6-digit serialized number. You can have any combination except if you use the 4-digit counter then you can have up to 2 of date/time/message, if you use the 6-digit counter then you can have up to 1 of date/time/message. For details, the manual is on Dymo's website.

The size appears to be regular 12 point font, similar to the really old cashier's receipt in purple ink, but cleaner, darker, and crisper. It takes about 2 seconds to print the date/time/etc. The only thing I had to get used to was the time format. For example, 3PM is printed out as "P03:00". There's a 24-hour time format, but I haven't used it. Other features that I haven't used are the alarm, and the locks. I have had no mechanical problems with the unit. One can refill the ink roller with a couple of drops in inkpad ink, so I imagine that you could use any color after the original purple color runs out.

I use the Dymo Datemark at work on papers that require a date stamp (e.g. packing slips, invoices received) , but also on drawings, schematics, printouts, repair tags and notes to record when a certain thing was done and how old some items really are. Makes recordkeeping a lot easier, especially for someone who never keeps in mind what the date is. Great product.

Buy DYMO DateMark Electronic Date/Time Stamper (47002) Now

I like the convenience of this date printer.

I've wanted something that I could use to stamp groceries as I purchase them. Some items stay in the cabinet too long and I've wished I knew how old they really were, before I tried to use it, or toss it. A paper tape label maker would have been too expensive for that purpose. I think this will work out well.

I like to stamp invoices with the date I paid the bill so this will be perfect for that.

It's also convenient as a desk clock. I didn't understand why it had an alarm until I realized it was so folks could get rid of any clock they have on their desk and use this as a replacement.

I wish designers could design some better interfaces for electronic tools. It's a general complaint with most items like this though.

I would have preferred red ink and larger type. This is too small for me to read without good light, or my reading glasses. Just a touch larger and I'd be fine. I'd rather it be red so it would stand out more, and also a black or blue ink would show through the stamp if I stamped over it.

Since there is an ink roller I guess I could try to get the purple ink out of it and load it up with red. It would probably take quite a while to work the purple out of the roller but I might do it. Too bad they don't offer optional rollers in other colors.

It does what I want though.

It should really come with a tray to stand in. As it is, the letters are exposed on the bottom at all times. They are slightly recessed, but I'm sure I'd get some ink on the carpet if I were to drop it, and it probably will eventually pick up dust through the stamp opening.

I can't believe the Amazon price. I usually find Amazon to have the best prices. I was going to an Office Supply store anyway and thought I'd look at it before I ordered it. It was almost half the Amazon price at the store, and it wasn't on sale either.

Read Best Reviews of DYMO DateMark Electronic Date/Time Stamper (47002) Here

I love this thing, it is a little expensive for what I bought it for but it works perfectly. I work in a medical office and I have to put a time in and a time out for every patient that I work up and this helps me to remember to do that. I also have to put down a time for a lot of the tests that I do so I use it for that as well. I wasn't sure how big the print would be, but it is just the right size, probably comparable to a size 10 font. It also will do just time or just date or both.

Want DYMO DateMark Electronic Date/Time Stamper (47002) Discount?

I've had my DYMO stamper for a few years now...I'm actually on my second unit as the first one died on me after a couple of years.

The stamper works fine sometimes. Other times, it will print jibberish instead of the date and time. I've found that if I "pre-stamp" a scrap piece of paper prior to stamping the actual document that needs the time stamp, this seems to clear the jibberish out. It will then work for a while but then go back to the jibberish.

I've tried resetting the unit and replacing all of the batteries a few times but nothing solves the problem. Now that I'm used to it's quirkiness, I can use it almost problem free.

Unfortunately, there's no other product around in this price range that does a better job so for now, this is the only choice.

I'm a doc & I got this a part of my battle with medical records department that wants everything signed, date & timed. It saves a tremendous amount of hand writing and is of course legible. I had a hard time programing it, but the 1 800 support team was very helpful and after 30 min we got its memory cleared & set properly. When I'm in the hospital it saves a lot of work. I wish it printed a little faster, you have to wait until the mechanism stops running before you can take it off the paper, a few seconds. And when I carry it in my pocket the buttons are always getting bumped & beeping. But its worth the money! One of my colleagues saw it & got 2.

PalmOne Zire 72 Special Edition Handheld Silver

PalmOne Zire 72 Special Edition Handheld Silver
  • Bright, 320x320 transflective TFT color display supports more than 65,000 colors
  • 312 MHz Intel PXA270 processor, Palm OS v5.2.8, 32 MB RAM (24 MB actual storage)
  • Integrated 1.2 MP digital camera that also shoots video
  • Expansion slot that supports MMC, SD, and SDIO memory cards
  • Palm Desktop Software for Windows and Mac and Software Essentials CD included

I had a Palm III followed by a Palm V and I was pretty pleased with both these older model PDAs. After some study, I opted for a Palm Zire 72 and I am very pleased with the features.

Important to me, the Zire 72 has Palm's suite of information management applications and the ability to edit Wordand Excel-compatible files and synchronize with Microsoft Outlook (Windows only). This is one reason I got the Palm; my Blackberry is not good as a PDA and I love the easy-to-use and fast PalmOS.

The Zire 72 features:

1-megapixel image resolution (1280 x 960 pixels

32 MB of memory --64 MB in the special edition

Video capture with sound

Digital

Voice recording capability.

Wireless Bluetooth connectivity to connect to the PC or your Bluetooth-enabled phone

4.8 ounces wieght

Palm OS 5.2.8 Operating System

Software

USB cable for linking to PC

Slot for SDI memory card

16-bit 320x320 TFT screen capable of 65,000 colors.

Capabilities Rundown:

PIM and software:

Zire 72 features Palm's suite of information management applications for expenses and note, and it has the ability to edit Wordand Excel-compatible files and synchronize with Microsoft Outlook in Windows. Our own company email system will support the Palm and Pocket PC while it will not be supporting the Blackberry Enterprise System anytime soon. So the Outlook support is very important.

Bluetooth:

The Bluetooth seems designed for devices to enable mobiles, LAN and PC connections to give web capability. It would be clunky, in my view, to connect via a cell phone, so I'd love to see WiFi. But this feature can be added with a $99 card put into the SDI slot. Bluetooth is not as easy to configure; the set-up wizard seemed to be a bit difficult and there are only a few cell phone models included in the preset configurations. If you can get the 72 connected, you can use it to dial numbers, send SMS, MMS and e-mail, and browse the web using the Web Pro 3.5. Or you can opt for a WiFi card and surf at MacDonalds and Starbucks. Phones that are listed:

Sony-E T68i

Sony-E T610

Nokia 6310i

Nokia 3650

Siemens S56

Not a super list.

For PC interfacing or Palm-to-Palm there still is an infrared port.

Egonomics:

Complaints were made about the blue paint on the regular edition flaking off. I have the special edition with the silver body and this is not an issue. The control is a rectangular navigating button. The screen has the familiar Palm division between screen and stylus pad below. The Graffiti 2 was easy to use--the letters are almost exactly like written print, as long as you know where to begin the the letter, but that's practically intuitive. The sensitivity and accuracy of the stylus-pointing is a huge improvement over the very early Palms like the PalmV.

My system came with a Cordura nylon case, very nice quality and a huge improvement from the old flimsy leatherette flaps of early days. Without a case, you have to get something to cover the screen. The stylus is the same type of rod that attaches to the side by sliding into a slot.

MP3:

You need a SDI card (Secure Digital card) to load MP3 songs with RealPlayer onto the system for playing back with MP3. These are not hard to find, you may even have one floating around the house (we did.) Drag-and-drop songs onto the card on your PC, put card in Palm and go. There is a headphone jack.

There are "speakers" (tiny) and a voice recorder. Great for memos.

Camera:

The 1.2 megapixel camera has onboard adjustments for contrast and light (I needed to take down the exposure for a shot of my deck at dawn.) Digital zoom. No cover for the camera lens. The resolution was ok. The memory will hold about 85 shots, and you can move them to the SDI (optional) card. No flash.

Software:

The installation CD comes with Adobe Acrobat Reader for Palm, plus a calculator, a reader-Documents To Go which allows you to read Microsoft Word and Excel. It's recommended to download AvantGo to add internet features. Sites such as www.palmsource.com, www.freewarepalm.com, www.palmgear.com, www.download.com have many free or inexpensive applications for the PalmOS.

There is no manual, it's on the CD.

Summary:

For a PDA, this is about perfect. To be perfect, they'd have to include WiFi and or a better phone setup list for the Bluetooth. I am quite thrilled with the Zire 72--it does what I want it to do, mainly be a PDA and keep my appointments and handle some data. The camera and MP3 are nice for travel.

Buy PalmOne Zire 72 Special Edition Handheld Silver Now

I am in love with my new Zire 72 PDA... BUT... I bought the special edition because I read all the reviews about the paint rubbing off the regular, blue Zire 72. I have had my PDA for just over a week now, and already the painted lettering on the top ('palm one' and 'zire 72') has cracked and mostly rubbed off. It's not a big deal -the unit is user friendly and works great, and it still looks nice, but I can't believe that this $300 item already looks worn when it is almost brand new and has been used carefully and moderately. Still a great choice, I think, but just a warning...

Read Best Reviews of PalmOne Zire 72 Special Edition Handheld Silver Here

Zire 72 is an excellent device with minor problems. For the price its a bargain and will ensure Palm's market share stays high.

Pro's,

1. Its a Palm, with a stable version of Palm OS.

2. Looks good and feels solid in hand.

3. Superb screen and extremely clear.

4. mp3 playback is very good.

5. Uses standard mini USB jack, not propreitary Palm connector.

6. Fast performance. Don't compare raw MHz between PDA's, this one's faster than 400MHz PPC's.

7. Available memory is a lot for a Palm.

8. Good software bundle and Bluetooth (chear up Sony Ericsson or Powerbook users)!

9. Speaker is suprisingly good at playing mp3's (64kpbs sounds great).

10. Camera is better than cell phone ones, 1.2 mega pixel.

11. Stylus is very ergonomic.

12. Silver looks better than blue edition, IMO.

Con's,

1. Down button is hard to press, ironically that's the most used button on Zire 72. The 5 way navigator is poorly designed and cheap plastic.

2. Case is slippery (on positive side it looks like the paint won't come off like on the blue edition).

3. Battery life is just slightly better than Pocket PC's, needs charging frequently.

4. Included charger is not a world charger and is bulky.

5. No bluetooth or Wifi but atleast it has SDIO slot.

6. Weak alarm sounds (think this can be fixed?) and no vibrate only mode.

7. Packaging in plastic box is tough to open and not eco-friendly.

8. Battery is not user replaceable. (dead Palm after 2 years? but same with most PDA's)

Overall Zire 72s is an excellent device and you can't go wrong with this one. Much more easier to use and reliable (Palm OS) than PPC's. Highly recommended!

The Zire 72 silver Special Edition version I purchased last month has proved its worth on a daily basis. The PDA starts up instantly, more quickly than my old Dell Axim, and is overall very quick and responsive and easy to navigate for calendaring and contacts. Games play very smoothly, and the display is crisp and bright under most lighting conditions. The camera and video recording capabilities are fun and entertaining extras that are handy for the occasional spontaneous and candid snapshots of my friends. And I purchased the Tom Tom Bluetooth Navigation kit, which transforms it into a very effective navigation system for my car. The voice recorder, which isn't even available on the flagship Tungsten T5 is very useful too I can easily capture lectures, meeting minutes, everything right onto the 512MB SD memory card I use with my Zire. Its truly a definitive 'digital assistant' in every sense of the term. Very good buy I highly recommend it.

My Zire 72 Silver ed developed a terrible high pitched buzzing noise after about a month. This noise has rendered it very annoying to use. I have to turn it off after seconds. I then found out this is a common problem described all over the web for Palms with high res screens. I have called Palm, and the technician admits it is defective. I demanded an exchange, and they wanted to charge me $40 for an "expedited exchange". It's either that or I can send my unit in for repair and wait weeks. "Sorry, company policy" he said.

Some in the web suggest overclocking programs to fix the problem. I've tried these and no matter what setting I've tried, the noise DOES NOT go away. Only the pitch changes somewhat. Hours wasted.

If you have this problem CALL PALM AND DEMAND A FIX!! They are well aware of this problem and sell these defective products anyway. THEY HAVE TO HEAR FROM THEIR UNHAPPY CUSTOMERS, and maybe they would finally do something.

Zire 72 otherwise performs as expected. It would otherwise get a 4 star from me.

HP Nylon Slimline Case for 1900, 2200 and 4100 series PDAs

HP Nylon Slimline Case for 1900, 2200 and 4100 series PDAs
  • HX2000 SERIES

I've been carrying my h4155 around in this case for the past month. The case works very well. The flap on the case is held down by velcro and the form fits the pda pretty well. I carry the case on my belt all the time and it seems to function as advertised. It could have a softer interior, but I haven't noticed any issues yet.

So I really like this case besides the velcro. Basically I have it with me all the time and use it frequently. The only thing is that each time I take my hp ipaq 4155 out, the velcro makes the loudest noise I have ever heard and everyone looks up and stares at my case. I wouldn't recommend this one... I am actually shopping for one that snaps or zips.

This case has been to work with me with two pdas and now my Samsung Vibrant for over three years. Gotta love a case that will last that long.

GSI Super Quality 5-In-1 Transfer USB Connection Kit - Memory Card Reader - Download Photos-Videos F

GSI Super Quality 5-In-1 Transfer USB Connection Kit - Memory Card Reader - Download Photos-Videos From Digital Camera, SD, SDHC, MS Duo, MMC, M2 Or T-Flash Cards To Apple iPad 1This adapter does NOT work on the Ipad2 in spite of the description. The Ipad 2 will not recognize this adapter.

I bought this for my Ipad. I have the original Ipad so this was a great find for me . I wanted an easier way to upload pictures from my camera to my ipad. I don't have one of those cameras's that automatically post pictures online. I need to upload them some where usually my computer. But with this device it's incredibly easy to upload photos from my camera to my iPad, I plug in my camera then plug into my ipad. Upload the pictures and from there I can send the pictures on my ipad to my friend by email. I don't even need to be on my computer. It is amazing.

Sharp Zaurus SL-5600 PDA

Sharp Zaurus SL-5600 PDA
  • Linux/Java-powered handheld computer with 64 MB ROM, 32 MB of RAM, and 400 MHz Intel processor
  • High-resolution color reflective TFT screen with support for over 65,000 colors
  • Integrated QWERTY keyboard that slides out from bottom of handheld
  • Listen to MP3 or watch MPEG video; includes stereo headphone jack
  • What's in the box: Zaurus SL-5600, Handheld device, EA-70S AC adapter, Docking station (USB), Power cord, Rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery, Stylus, Display protection cover, CF slot-protection card

I've been using Palm PDAs for about five years now and wanted to upgrade to something new. I had seen the Zaurus 5500 and was going to purchase one before I heard that the 5600 was being released. The 5600 is fast, applications load quickly and the OS seems to be very stable. I haven't had anything crash yet. Setting up wireless networking with a CF card is trivial, plug the card in, run the network config application and type in your WEP key and you're on the net. Surfing with Opera is excellent, you can zoom in and out on web pages and I haven't found any pages that it won't display. I have yet to try the Hancom applications for reading and writing Word and Excel docs but everything else works very well. Now I just need to find an SSH client for it and I'll really be in business.

My first PDA was the Zaurus 5000D (developer version of this 5600). I really wanted to like it but it was limited on space for installing apps and I had trouble synching it with my Outlook. But enter the 5600... as soon as I heard it announced I had my eye on it and finally broke down and bought it. What a dream! Straight out of the box I plugged in my Linksys CF WAN card and in no time I was connected to my wireless network and surfing the net with the pre-installed Opera browser. I even checked and sent email. For about $ I was able to enter complete geek-dom and downloaded tkcJabber, an instant messenger package that connects to AIM, MSN, IRC and Yahoo chats. (this and many free software for the Zaurus are available at [website].) And within minutes I was chatting online as well.

The true test was then the synching feature. I installed the Intellisync software on my machine from the CD that came with my Zaurus, plugged in the docking station, put my Zaurus on there and hit the synch button. It all Synched without one problem! What a breeze!

The battery life on the 5600 is much improved over the 5000D and the 5500. Other things I love about the Zaurus: I can read and edit Word and Excel documents on it; can view PowerPoint presentations; the sliding QWERTY keyboard is convenient and, although it looks small and hard to use, it really is quite handy and easy to use. I also like the fact that you can use a compactflash card (CF) and/or a SecureDigital (SD) card. I could list more but I think my word limit is about up for this review! Bottomline: Highly recommend!

This device is almost perfect for the linux user who wants something smaller than his\her laptop. In order to appreciate this device, you really have to like linux. If you have never used linux, dont bother, get yourself an M$ windows pda.

If you're like me and love linux, you'll love the zaurus. You can get virtually all main stream linux apps for it (gcc, make, apache, mysql...the list goes on and on). I especially like that fact that it has a java runtime, and with the addition of compiler (try ibm's Jikes compiled for zaurus) you have a pocket java development environment.

The fact that it has CF and SD slots means you can have your wifi and your extra storage in at the same time, which is a great plus.

The fold out keyboard is slightly slower than a full size, but still light years ahead of stupid handwriting recognition on other devices (although the z has that too)

There are tons of different roms availible, from sharp and others. One that fixes the pxa250 cache errata is definatly required, as you may have heard this is a bug which affects performance. But if you flash with a special kernel it fixes this bug and allows you to clock the device up to 471 mhz! NICE!

The Only thing I would add to this device is a built in DOWNSTREAM usb port, so that you can plug in usb devices. A Compact flash Usb card is availible from ratoc (for $150). I bought that too and now i can connect external HD's, Gamepads, Keyboards, Extra Wifi's, and maybe even printers or cd burners.

While Pocket PC Users can say things like "my Ipaq is LIKE a pc!" The zaurus user can say "my zaurus IS a PC".

There really isnt anything you cant do on the zaurus since its a full linux OS.

I would whole heartedly reccomend this product to EVERY linux user

I've been looking for a replacement for my Visor Platinum for a while now, and this one caught my eye. Aside from the fact that this model carries a faster processor and a longer lasting battery compared to the 5500, the size of the unit "may" look identical from the face, but the extended battery comes with a small price. The back of the unit sticks out slightly to accomodate for the larger battery. It's still one of the most feature rich PDA's out there with a pretty impressive onboard speaker and microphone. Transferring files to the CF or SD memory cards is pretty "clunky" so purchasing a 6-in-1 type reader is the best way to go if you want to transfer larger files. The box itself includes the Zaurus + a removable clear flip top similar to the old Palm III, a usb sync cradle, a laptop style ac adapter which can be used independantly of the cradle, a stylus, sync software, and manuals.

I have had the Zaurus for 2 days. This device is simply amazing. Just a few things to mention

1) WI-FI support, I just plugin my Linksys wireless CF card, and it worked, on Pocket PC, I had to install software.

2) The wirelsss connection and the browser work great. On Pocket PC, the buggy MS software frequently quit working for no reason, and I had to reset the Pocket PC unit. The Linux based Zaurus is rock soild.

3) The USB syncing is reliable. The Pocket PC won't even work via the USB hub, you have to connect it directly to a USB port. Furthermore, activesync frequently stops working, and I had to reboot both the PC and PDA.

Now let me tell you something I have done:

1) installed OpenSSH onto the unit. After that, I leave the unit downstairs, upstairs using a notebook I wirelessly sshed into the PDA, it's just another UNIX server, at the bash promopt, I use wget to download a bunch of files from the net, including PERL, APACHE, and MYSQL. MySQL is only a few hundred kilio bytes, I created a few tables and run some SQL queries. Great!

2) Installed a VNC server on the PDA, then on my PC I use vncviewer to connect to the PDA, the PDA screen shows up on the PC, and I can remotely operate it via its GUI interface.

On the net, I found all sorts of applications ported to Zaurus, even including things like XFfree86 and Courier-mail server. Maybe we should do some web and mail benchmarking on this 400MHZ device.

In conclusion, this PDA is a true Linux machine with a small keyboard and screen that can be put in your pocket, you can use it to listen to mp3, browser web or serve web and email.....or whatever open source.

DaFuture Conference Microphone with Adapter Plug (Model# CM9

DaFuture Conference Microphone with Adapter Plug (Model# CM9This was a total waste of money. I bought it hoping it would pick up more of the conversation, 12 people around a 20-foot table, in a small conference room, than I'd get just by putting the digital recorder in the middle of the table. No joy. The recorder (a little Olympus) alone did a much better job.

The microphone works well. The only thing is it takes a 2.5 mm adapter because the Dictaphone recorder actually takes a 2.5 mm plug, not 3.5 mm as advertised.

This product was sold as being new. It arrived in very good time, but imagine my surprise when, on the back of the unit, is a sticker that says "no manufacturer warranty". If this was a new unit, why would there be no warranty??

I paid $20.00 more for what was advertised as new. It should have come boxed, with instructions, a CD ROM for my desktop, a USB cable and a Palm wall charger.

Instead! I received the Palm wrapped in paper towels and a no-name wall charger.
