I just received a package of two 30mw lasers with the five interchangeable star lens and this particular party laser as well. As my co-worker experimented with the two lasers, ALL five of the star lens caps fit! This party laser is worth it. It does have three modes of laser. The regular green laser pointer, any star chart you desire (if you buy another laser with extra caps), and last but not least the party mode. There is a mirror that seems to be attached to a spring which makes the laser beam "wiggle" for cool affects. Mind you that you do not have to wiggle the laser to death to get the full affect. All you need a little flick and there is the show! Also the size is small and portable. Smaller than a pack of ciggies. Also the rugged body makes it more comfortable to play with just in case you drop the laser. Overall, it is definitely worth it. The package date is just on time. It usually comes in like two days early than expected, but since I live in Hawai'i, the whole tsunami thing probably slowed down the postal services.

I got this to use as a laser grid for ghost hunting. It has turned out to be somewhat of a disappointment if you want to use it for that, as the product's troubleshooting site recommends you not keep the button depressed for more than five minutes, lest you burn out the diodes. So it's not practical for ghost hunting at all, since you have to have a person try to depress the button at just the right moment and have a steady hand to boot! I also noticed if I use it for more than this length of time, the lights will dim anyway. So if you want a laser grid for ghost hunting, I would recommend one of the more expensive models...the product makes an excellent pet toy however. I have entertained my cat and Chihuahuas for hours on end with it. And, I found out if you shine the light out of a window it reflects onto your yard and causes the neighbors to report UFOs...so pass it by if you want to use it for paranormal investigation, but if you want to entertain a cat or redneck neighbors...here's your gadget!

Straight green laser, disco laser, and star effect attachment. If you used a red laser you will like this one better. It goes a lot further than red does. Won't pop baloons like videos on youtube say though. Keep away from kids eyes it is much more powerful and bright than the red ones.

Some people are saying it dose not have a pointer when in fact it dose. Just take the turning knob off and place it on the star setting. You will now have a pointer intill you put the cap back on. I recently purchased the iPAQ rz1715 in the store. It was so new that I couldn't find any reviews on the item, but I took the risk anyway. I reviewed prices online but I wasn't sure what capabilities this product had in comparison with the higher priced hp models. I was afraid that since it was a "Mobile Media Companion" that it wouldn't have the same functionality and wouldn't serve all of my needs. Don't let the marketing gimick fool you, this is the same as the other pocket PC's.

There are two major differences between this model and the higher priced models, it does not have built in wireless capability (you can use an SD wireless card if you need to add this functionality later)and it does not have as much build in memory. This is the main reason for the $100 to $150 price difference. Since external memory is so cheap and I have no use for the wireless technology it was the perfect choice for me.

It has the exact same functionality despite being marketed as a media PDA. It comes with pocket Excel and pocket Word, both of which I really needed as well as all of the other standard programs. It also does not come with the Nevo (I think that's what it is called) universal remote software.

This is the perfect pocket PC for someone who doesn't need built in wireless and wants a top of the line PDA for a reasonable price. I am extremely happy with my purchase and would recommend any of the HP pocket PCs over any of the available Palm models.

I consider myself an advanced computer user knowing how to do basic stuff to learning new software, yet very limited on programming abilities. I bought the rz1715 for a great price and I love it. I cannot live with it now!! I have my work and my personal life all together in one neat little thing. Plus there is SO much useful freeware out there that you can download!! I purchase for $15 software for my pocket pc and desktop where I can keep up with my checking acct and all I do is download it onto my desktop. I love the games I can get and all the reminder options since I am a post it note queen!!

I would highly recommend this for anyone who needs more organization in their life. As far as getting on a wireless technology with it, I'm clueless but that is something that I would probably never use anyway. You have to look at what is important to you. For me it was Contacts,Calender,useful software and not sure useful(but fun!), games, ebooks, pocket word and excel plus advantgo where I can download webpages and read them at my leisure anywhere. Get one, I don't think you will regret it!

It is truly amazing what the people have been saying about this PDA. It is slow, only 32Mb RAM(!!), poor battery, etc, etc, etc...

It was voted as the worst PDA of the year by PC Magazine, in their last Top 10 Worst Products of the year.

There are many other options in this price range that are much better: In Pocket PC camp, there is the Dell X30, in Palm camp there is Zire 72. Both offer so much more for less money.

I recently purchased the RZ 1715 through Amazon, after a thorough online search and reading many reviews posted here. Thankfully Amazon is giving us the option of purchasing this type of entry-level unit, as all my local electronics stores seem to have ignored it in favor of dedicating shelf space to the much more expensive top-level products.

After two weeks with the product I can confirm that the other reviews are spot-on with one exception: the on board memory. At only 25MB, this can be very limiting for all but the most casual users; anyone considering this for business purposes (not requiring WiFi) should be cautioned the software requires that all on-board processes and databases be run from the on-board memory, not the SD cards. SD cards are where you store your music, photos, files, etc., imported from the PC, but synchronized databases from Outlook can and will quickly gobble up that 25MB space in a hurry. These databases cannot be run from the SD card. Users with contact databases in software such as ACT, Salesforce.com, etc., would be well advised to look at the next higher model, which I believe roughly doubles available memory.

I'm going to try to exchange the RZ 1715 for something with more horsepower. Sure hope I'm not too late, or this was a very expensive lesson learned...

The harsh reality is that anyone who got this was sorely ripped off. I've been following Pocket PCs very closely for over two years, and the specifications and the molassas slowness of this unit is a real shame for the technology that is capable of being produced today. For the same amount of money used to buy the RZ1715, you can get a 624mhz Dell Axim with 64mb RAM, 64mb ROM, integrated WiFi, integrated Bluetooth, and respect from the online PDA community. There is absolutely no reason to buy this unit because 1) It is not a bargain PDA. You can get other PDAs with much better features for even less than this unit is worth, 2) It has less than the bare minimum of features. Anything under 300mhz is considered a dinosaur of PDAs past. Why this unit was produced in 2004 is beyond me.

If you are looking for a Pocket PC to give as a gift to someone, don't pick this one. I guarantee it is a ripoff and an insult. You can get a really great Pocket PC for even less.

I am a pilot and I thought this to be a great item for working with my iPad while in flight and on the ground, worked great for about 6 months until, for some unknown reason, the housing around the tip of the pen came apart. The pen no longer stays inside the housing and is not longer a dual purpose item like I purchased it for.

If you're looking for a thinner and longer (5-1/4 inch) stylus, this one is for you. I bought four different models of stylii (?) from Amazon and can confirm that this BoxWave Slimline is the thinnest and longest of those four. It is also well made with nice metal, a firm pocket clip, and a more pointed tip that's useful for a small smartphone virtual keyboard. Recommended without hesitation if those are the features you're looking for.

I have had really expensive stereo & talk capable head sets from Plantronics, BlueAnt, Motorola, etc., and if you use them enough, a clip or something is going to break or get lost. So I decided to buy this little basic $30 Samsung Bluetooth earpiece to go with my Samsung phone. I was told that the sound quality was great, and if you did not need the bells and whistle of stereo, voice commands, etc., then this was the way to go. I broke the little plastic clip taken the thing out of the package. My fault, since I thought that the little clip was a part of the packaging, so I could take it back to the store. Even though there was a spare in the packaging, apparently Samsung knows that these little clips will eventually break or get lost, I decided to see if I could find a spare for the future breakage or lost clip. I bought my Edge through the Handspring Website because they weren't available any where else at the time. I've been happy with it, even thought the first one crashed, and they had to send me a new one. They sent the replacement next day air and I haven't had a single problem since. I bought the Edge instead of the Handspring Platinum because the Edge was quite a bit thinner and had an internal rechargeable battery so I didn't have to spend a fortune on AAA batteries. The Palm V is the closest relative to the Edge in the Palm family, but I thought that Handspring had a better product with their Springboard module. I've already purchased the one step back up module which works great when you're away from your computer. In addition, I purchased the InnoPak/2V vibrator along with a Handspring belt type carrying case so that I can wear my Edge and have it vibrate for appointments. I figure that if it's on my belt I'll get that much more utility out of it. The only thing that I don't like about the Edge is that it's a new enough model that I'm not able to get all the accessories for it yet like the Targus foldable keyboard and the travel charger/synch cable.

After reading the last 3 reviews, all I can say is how surprised I am that people have had problems with the Visor Edge. My experience with it has been nothing short of stellar.

The Edge is fast, has a clear screen, and feels rock-solid and durable. I have many different programs on it and it's fully Palm compatible. The lid is the best of any PDA I've ever owned, bar none; coupled with the fit and finish, it does a great job of protecting the screen. So far, I haven't felt the need to fold it flat to the back of the Edge, the settings provided by hadspring seem fine to me and well thought out.

I have one complaint about my Edge. The adapter for the springboard modules is basically a kludge. While it's not a bad design, fitting tightly to the unit and locking with a satisfying click, it's not a good one either. It makes the Edge far thicker, and it prevents you from using the lid as the adapter uses the same attachment point. Springboard modules are fairly big but surely a better design was possible.

If you need a solid PDA, buy this one. As for the other reviewers' problems, all I can think of is that I waited a few weeks before I made my purchase. Perhaps an early run of Edges had problems(?).

The Edge solved the one real drawback of the Visor Deluxe: you couldn't carry it in your pocket without looking like a total dweeb. The Edge's size and perfectly designed lid fit nicely into a shirt or jeans pocket without worrying about a case. Probably not the best choice for people who keep Springboard modules in it all the time, since the module holder is kind of clunky, but this isn't a problem since I use only the Backup module and remove it after I'm done. (Don't even think about travelling with a Visor without the Backup module.) I waited a month before writing my review, to see if I would have any of the reliability problems that were reported early on. Maybe the first batch of Edges had some quality problems, but it looks like those were solved before I got mine. I'd highly recommend the Edge to anyone who carries a PDA in their pocket.

I purchased a Visor Edge a few weeks ago, and I must say that I am completely in love with it.

Like most people, I did my research prior to purchasing a PDA and was initially put off the Visor Edge by all the negative reviews I encountered. I noticed however that the negative reviews relating to the hardware problems were dated a long time ago, and I figured that Handspring MUST have sorted out their production issues by now. This convinced me to include it on my list to 'testdrive'.

All PDAs work pretty much the same if they have PALM OS.

Much like mobile phones, PDAs all essentially do the same thing.

So what is there to differentiate PDAs?

First of all you need to decide if you are a PalmOS or a WinCE person. I chose PALMOS because I dont need 2 laptops.

To differentiate between the PALMOS products, my list was: Rechargeable battery, size of screeen, price competitiveness, overall thickness, and of course sex appeal. For me, the Visor Edge won hands down (especially sex appeal) Sure it doesnt have the latest operating system or blue tooth capability (will you REALLY use this?) and I did not feel that double the price justified something that I would not notice or use.

Just a point of note: The first Visor Edge I got did not work! It refused to charge or power on. Luckily after reading the negative reviews I had decided not to leave the shop until I was satisfied I had received a working Visor. This proved to be a smart strategy.

When I first reviewed the sleek Visor Edge, it cost about twice what it does today. At the time, I advised buyers that this product was definitely going to come down in price so it can compete. Handspring finally has priced this product where it is extremely competitive with any product in the marketplace.

Functionally, the Visor Edge's sole advantage is its thinness. It is by far the thinnest PDA.

Functionally, the Edge is identical to the Visor Neo, except it is thinner with a rechargeable battery. This is the Palm OS equivalent of the Apple Cube -a beautiful machine that didn't justify its high initial cost. As with the Cube after it was discontinued, you can now get a great deal on the Edge.

Buyers may also want to check out the discontinued Palm Vx, which feels better in your hands and actually weighs about an ounce less.

BTW, putting the Springboard module on this product makes it look totally unwieldy and eliminates the "cool" factor. If you like Springboard, keep your Visor Deluxe/Neo.

Cyber Clean Cleaning Compound

It's decent. The only problem is it doesn't get things that have fallen in the cracks of the keyboard, like crumbs. A power duster works a little better in that regards, but the nice thing about the cyber clean is that it actually picks up all of the dust. You have to wipe down your desk after using the power duster.

This is like lemon scented silly putty for grownups. It is ok at grabbing crumbs from between keyboards. It doesn't seem to do anything to get rid screen smudges, and sometimes little bits come off, so be careful by charging ports or USB ports. I like it more for getting rid of hard to get dirt in the car.

The thrive lives inside an inner case that wraps around it and has one side affixed with a bit that tucks in and is held by velcro.

Then the inner case affixes to the outer case with velcro allow either orientation. The outer case props the thrive for movie viewing and it's front covering "lid" closes with a light magnetic clasp.

I've had my case for some time now, so thought I'd share my view with you all. It's a sturdy leather bound card type, with a cutout for the rear facing camera. When closed, it really does look like a leather bound book. Though it does add some bulk to the nude tablet, it's not so large as to be imposing.

The velcro attachment on the back of the tablet sleeve allows you to detach it from the 'cover' and either hand hold the tablet or swivel it to portrait and use with equal ease as landscape. The velcro works extremely well and is 100% secure. No dropping out of it's cover here.

From a purely personal aesthetic point of view, I'm not sold on the red 'trams lines' used to prop up the tablet at various angles. They are very functional, but I may take a permanent black marker to them in the not too distant future.....

All in all, a very happy bunny now owns a classy bit of leather bound kit.

I was really excited to find a cover for the Thrive tablet and when it arrived it was all nice and new, leather and a perfect fit. THEN . . . 3 weeks into using it, the spine broke, the felt pulled loose and the edges came apart completely. I'm happy with this cover except for the fact that it won't fit on the docking station anymore. The cover is thick enough that you have to take it off to get a connection.

Really impressed with this tiny scanner's performance!

I got it more for its small size rather than its mobility, but it's definitely got both! VERY compact. Produces really nice color scans and is easy to use.

Personally, I most appreciate things that have been stripped down to their bare functionality, which is what this is. A very tidy product. Worth more than the price!

It's overall a nice product, sturdy enough on the outside to last any rugged treatment. However the clasp is a bit small to quickly snap into place and when open it looks really big along your face. Other than that it's useable and heck it protects the phone in falls which to me is number one if you own a touch screen!
