I have been using a production prototype of this keyboard for almost a month and a half, now, and I find it valuable for a few tasks for which Grafiti (although, I use JOT) hanwriting recognition is not suitable: email, extensive note taking, and other large volumes of text input, and (interestingly) spreadsheet creation.

The new Palm Portable Keyboard is a FULL SIZE keyboard that folds so small and compact that it drops easily into a jacket pocket, a purse, or a briefcase. It has a FULL SIZE look and feel, with a full 3 mm travel.

When I go to a meeting, I can unobtrusively take notes by dropping my Palm III into the docking connector on the Palm Portable Keyboard. When I get back home (or to the office) and synchronize (HotSynch) my Palm with Microsoft Outlook on my PC, all my notes are just a point and click away from my word processor.

Now, if Think Outside (the designers and manufacturers of the Portable Keyboard) can get enough software companies to work with them to include tighter integration to the fantastic potential that Palm computing offers when linked with the additional power and flexibility that the Palm Portable Keyboard adds ...

One more item that i would like to see Think Outside add to their wish list: please put a serial connection on the keyboard so that we can:

1) Connect to a modem while doing email using the keyboard; 2) HotSynch from the keyboard docking connector a nice capability so you can travel with the keyboard and leave the standard docking station at home.

Maybe this serial connector can be implemented as a choice of connectors that plug into the keyboard (to the right of the docking connector) and provide a selection, including: RS-232 DTE or DCE/ 9 pin or 25 pin; USB; 10-BaseT; etc.

I love my old Palm III. It is reliable, it syncs well with Outlook 2000 now that I've picked up PocketMirror, and the amoritized cost is now down to pennies a day. But after years of use, I still hate that stupid little stylus. My "graffiti" technique never got better than about 90% accuracy, I can never remember how to punctuate, and don't get me started on the little touchpad keyboards. So the Palm III keyboard is a godsend. First off, its very cool. The key action is very good--soft and accurate. I'm still fiddling with the delay settings, as the delay is a bit too slow for my tastes. They keys are also a little too noisy for use in a meeting. On the plus side, typing notes into the Palm is now a breeze. Better still: the keyboard is collapsible, so its folds into a small rectangle not much bigger than a Palm, but is very nearly full sized when unfolded. When unfolded and locked, it is pretty stable (although I agree with those who say you can't really use it on your lap). It looks great. What more can you ask?

I recently took my Palm III and keyboard to a conference. Everybody else was lugging around laptops. I just unfolded my keyboard, snapped on my Palm and rocked. All my Dilbertesque buddies were very jealous. (Palm probably owes me hundreds in finders fees.) The only problem: Carrying my Palm, the keyboard, and my cell phone is a lot of juggling. I waited over four months to get this hot, back-ordered item, excited about the reviews it received and looking forward to taking notes on my Palm III. During the wait, my boss let me borrow his LandWare GoType keyboard, and I began to get used to its small size and usefulness.

Finally, my Palm Portable Keyboard arrived in the mail and I opened it, marvelling at its sleek design and extreme portability. I installed the driver, unfolded the keyboard and started typing.

The first thing I immediately noticed was that, once unfolded, you can't put this keyboard on your lap; it's just not rigid enough. A bit of an inconvenience (the GoType is sturdy enough to do this), but I figured I'd just use a hard surface when I need to type.

The next thing I noticed was that after installing the keyboard driver, suddenly my entire Palm OS had slowed down to a crawl. I visited Palm's website and sure enough, they said this was a problem with the driver. They had a beta driver that I installed to fix the problem.

But then the biggest problem was obvious: The Palm Portable Keyboard can't catch up with your typing. I type pretty fast (40-60 WPM) and it was painful to watch the Palm lagging a few seconds behind me after I finished a line of text. In comparison, the LandWare GoType enters text instantaneously. As a technical writer, I can't afford to have people slow down during meetings while my keyboard catches up.

I called Palm support on this and they said they were aware of the problem, and would likely release a driver to fix the slowdowns eventually. I've waited long enough, Palm Inc. I'm going out and buying a GoType instead.

To Sum up: If you like nifty technology, need extreme portability, and don't type very fast, the Palm Portable Keyboard is worth getting. If you need a reliable product that is sturdy and useful, get the LandWare GoType instead.

I've had the Palm Portable Keyboard for not quite 24 hours. It's great for text writing, entering data in Quicksheet, and using shortcuts and function keys. Well made--it does wow my tech friends.

Some problems mentioned by others... * The need for a solid, flat surface instead of your knees. I've cut out a piece of masonite to rest the keyboard while in my car. Works fine. Since it doesn't weigh much, I can even slip the board into a tote bag or set it on top of a soft sided briefcase. If the features of the Palm Portable are the ones you want, this is a work around. * Slow response to key input. I noticed that but there is a buffer which catches up when I stop to think. That's not a bad habit for my type of writing.

A problem not yet mentioned by others... * Need to increase the P3 memory from 2 to 8. Maybe it's the SmartDoc text editor I'm using or maybe I'm just writing more that I did before, but I can see a memory problem coming fast.

So far I purchased 4 of these altogether for my girlfriend, 2 of my employees and myself. Basically, the rest of this review is very similar to the other reviews I've left for the other colors I bought here on Amazon which were this red-pink one, a coral blue one, and 2 black ones. These are very high quality stylus' and pens with a slim all aluminum barrel and pen cap. They also have a good weighted feel to them without being too heavy. The slim body is painted with a textured enamel (the black is a matte finish while the coral blue and red-pink are somewhat of a pearl-like or glittery textured paint) and are easy to grip and comfortable to use for long periods. The pen itself is a 0.5 ball point gel ink pen that writes very well. As I mentioned in my other reviews, this stylus has proven to work well on these devices so far: Samsung Galaxy Tab, iPad 2, Samsung Galaxy II phone, Motorola Droid phone, iPhone 4S, and HTC Sensation phone. Overall, I would say this stylus/pen is definitely better than most others I've seen out there and some just looked and felt cheap compared to this one and the extra tip is a bonus!

Everyone I've gotten this stylus for love it and use it including myself! It's definitely well worth the price!

I was pretty uncomfortable with the keypad on my new iPhone because my hands shake a little and the pads of my fingertips are too big for the keypad. This stylus is fantastic. Ball point writing pen with cap that doesn't fit on the ther end. Was hoping it was a thin head stylus...oh well, I'm glad I didn't spend a lot, but still a little much for a cheap pen. At least it doesn't glop or leak when you write. Short stylus makes writing a little difficult.

I purchased this to play a simple drawing game because I can draw much better with an instrument than my finger. It's a great price if that's about all you want to do with it. Sometimes it doesn't make contact with the screen well so it skips. The tip is large enough that you can't really "see" what you're drawing as well as you could with a regular pencil. For the price, definitely worth 4 stars. If you're looking for precision, you'll have to pay for it.

After reading so many negative reviews for the Tungsten E hard case, I began looking for other options. My search led me to this accessory pack, which does a decent job at a very affordable price.

The case is semi-rigid ballistic nylon with a nice quality zipper enclosure on three sides. My guess is that it would keep its contents safe from moderate shocks or compression (both flat and on the corners). It's also attractive in a low-profile sort of way. On the inside, there are slots for a few credit cards or ID badges as well as two smaller ones for Palm expansion cards. The only two drawbacks are that the case doesn't lie flat portfolio-style when opened (this may ease up with age) and the only method of securing your Palm to the case is an enclosed Velcro sticker. I've never been a fan of attaching sticky items onto electronics, although the case of my Tungsten E is so ugly I may break my policy.

The multi-function pen is not exactly as pictured it's much bigger than I expected and unfortunately too big to fit in the case. However, there's a lot of functionality in there: a black pen, a pink (!) highlighter, a mechanical pencil and a Palm Stylus. It's lightweight but almost to the point of feeling cheap and it rattles when you write with it. Plus, the method of selecting which point pops out is a little cumbersome and it's probably only a matter of time before I write on my Palm with highlighter. The packaging includes instructions for replacing the ink and pencil, so at least it promises life beyond the initial cartridges.

Finally, the screen protectors are just that. They work that's about all you can say. I expect that they'll keep me from freaking out when I inevitably highlight on my screen.

So, while the solutions are far from perfect, you'd be hard-pressed to find a package so all-encompassing or budget-conscious. A must-have for a new Palm user, student, etc.

Most of these don't have pockets. Love that this one does. The foam is surprisingly thick and holding up well. I think it does a good job protecting.

Before buying this case for my Acer Iconia Tab W500 10.1 inch tablet, I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews--not just at Amazon--over a period of two weeks. In one of the reviews, a woman stated that she didn't like a case she bought because of the horrible odor but it would cost too much to return it to the supplier in Europe so she was stuck with it. I then made a mental note to be sure I didn't buy one from a foreign manufacturer.

But guess what! Amazon didn't give the location of the supplier in the details, and in my naivete as a new Amazon user, I assumed that I could return the case to Amazon in the unlikely event that it wasn't what I expected. I now have a case with a bad odor that costs $60-$100 to return to England! It's advertised as "premium" leather, so I wasn't concerned until I received it and found that it did have a strong, horrendous odor. I promptly placed it in my utility room in hopes the odor would dissipate. Because I was anxious to get a case to protect my tablet, I checked it every day to see if I could use it. Although I already had a bag to carry the tablet, keyboard, and accessories, I wanted more protection for the tablet while I was using it. After a week the odor seemed to have dissipated, and I gladly tried it on my tablet.

The case fit perfectly, allowing access to all the buttons, both cameras, USB ports, etc. The tablet even attaches to the keyboard without the need to remove the case, and the built-in stand is nice because the tablet is somewhat top heavy. The magnetic closure is great. The tablet seems to be well shielded in case I accidentally drop it. At first I only used the tablet occasionally. But later, when I used it for an hour or so at a time I could smell the odor while using the tablet and I could still smell it on my hands until I washed them--sometimes after washing them.

So much for "premium" leather.

P.S. I still haven't applied the protector film on the screen so I can't comment on it.

If you want to connect to the internet on your handspring at a good price, then this is your best bet. Although it may not be the fastest OR the thinnest in its class, it functions very well. Besides, on a tiny screen with limited content, you don't need to have a 56k modem for the connection to be fast. And, if you don't mind, carrying around an extra half-inch on your palm isn't that bad. You would be amazed with what you can do with a palm pilot hooked up to the internet. I have had mine for a couple of weeks now and still haven't figured out how to work it. The instruction manual is not very helpful. It doesn't even tell you how to go about getting mail and accessing the internet othere than saying you need "third party software" to do so. Well what else would one use a modem for? Shouldn't the software be included or at least suggestions of which to use? I downloaded Eudora Suite (free) and just can't figure this out. It should not be this difficult for an average person to use. I will continue to work with it but if I can't get it up and running soon I will return it. So far it's been a waste of money. I amn very disappointed.

I use the same env phone and belt clip since the 9900 model first came out. The clip is fairly strong and durable. This clip will NOT come off your belt. Unfortunately if you put a lot of pressure on it (catch your phone on something as you walk by) it normally pulls the clip off the holster. It looks like it was designed to do that. There is a round button that holds the clip to the back side of the holster and allows it to swivel. Normally that is the break point and you can easily glue the button back in place. Sometimes however, if I really catch the holster I will break the clip. Then I have to order a new one. They are not expensive.

As a plus, the holster has a cavity that I taped a spare car key into. It has saved me at least 4 times when I locked my keys in my car.

When the original stylus that came with my Palm m515 started to slip out of its storage slot, I decided I needed a replacement. I ordered several different brands to find the stylus that suited me best. Of the four different m500 series replacement styli that I tried, I was least satisfied the Belkin brand. The stylus has a good weight, similar to the original. But the main problem with this stylus is in its size. The small plastic bumps on the end that allow the stylus to snap into place in the storage slot are too large. It feels as if you have to force it into place, so much so that I was actually worried it would cause damage. The stylus is also a bit too long, so that when you do get it into the storage slot, it sticks up farther than it should. Overall, I would not recommend this product for use with the Palm m500 series handhelds.

I kept track of the original stylus for my M500 so long that no one in the local stores stocked them, so I tried Amazon, which offers the usual overwhelming number of choices. The Belkin Product is essentially an exact replacement except the shaft is black instead of brushed metal. The fit is very good; it doesn't slip out on its own, and doesn't fight back when you need to remove it. There is a slight protrusion above the surface of the M500 when the stylus is fully inserted, but since the top of the stylus is nicely rounded it has a natural appearance. If you prefer the weight and feel of a metal stylus, like the original, this is the next best thing. Also, you now get 4 instead of 3 styli.

While there is a slight difference from the original Palm M500 series stylus, Belkin's stylus is the closest you can get to the original. It fits into the Palm stylus slot perfectly. It even has the reset pin when the top is unscrewed, just like the original. A great value for the 4 you get in the pack.

It may be only a humble stylus for an older palm PDA, but it is exactly right for the job.

This is a well made product, the weight is very reasonable to be writing on the tablet with and has worked very well to be able to take notes in class. My only complaint is that sometimes you have to push down harder than I would think is nessicary for the touch screen, and then at other times the touch is very soft and it is fine. Of course this could be a combination of the tablet and something else.

Overall a good prouduct that does what it is supposed to do.

Edit 9/28: I am sad to say I have had to take this review down a star. I love this pen for what it is, but over the past few days it has worn down. This is not overly noticable by looking at the product, but when writing notes the pen sticks more to the screen and I must tilt the pen away from the tip to write as smoothly as I once could. I plan on stoking up on a few of the cheaper knock off pens.I hope this is just a manufacturer defect and everyone else can ejnoy this pen to the fullest.

Use a very light touch. I have not noticed any wear. It keeps smudges off screen. I wish there was a way to attach it to my Tablet. I keep it in the case and use it most of the time.

As my title says, with a touch screen, you should be able to get away with using your fingers. Why need a stylus?

A few points it's hard to see from the picture, but it's got kind of a rubbery, squishy end to the pointer. So, I have yet to get a regular stylus (like you might see with a Nintendo DS) to work on the device. But this pen has a nice heft to it, and it's really handy to use. One of the biggest complaints about the Thrive is that it's a fingerprint magnet, which is 100% true.

Having said that GET the screen protector. I hate screen protectors, but on this tablet they're going to perform two functions obviously prevent scratches, but they also cut down on fingerprints. So does using this pen. The screen is gorgeous, but you'll appreciate not having to wipe it down all the time.

Every touchscreen, be it on a gps, phone, or tablet, of mine suffers from the oils in my system and always has fingerprints. However, since I got this "pen" they suffer much less. It performs exactly as advertised and the soft tip actually has more friction to move on the surface than my finger and leaves absolutely no streaks or prints. As a bonus, it doesn't seem to pick up dust or dirt and require cleaning. I'd buy it again.

I like this skin. It is long lasting, and works well with the phone. I wish that I would have gotten the background that it promised to give us. I emailed the seller and never got it. I am going to hope that it was by fluke only.

I am giving three stars only because my emails never got responded to (and I sent several). The item did get to me and I like having my phone with diff. styles on them. (If they would have been responsive... then they would have gotten 4 stars.) Why not five... because over wear and tear it starts peeling off.... however. It peels like an outer-shell portion and still shows the design which is cool enough instead of having a peeling phone. It's made of pretty sturdy material. I like it!

As a previous owner of PDA's (palms) and specifically ipaqs (both a 3870 and a 2215), I am proud to say I've finally found a PDA that satisfies all my needs.

But first, I'd like to start with one piece of advice for any first time Pocket PC purchaser.

** If you're unsure between two models, ALWAYS choose the smaller. **

Why? Because the extra features of a large-sized PDA (like a fingerprint reader?!?!) are almost never worth the increased probability you choose to leave it behind. A PDA's usefulness scales rapidly with its vicinity to you. And a PDA is just about the size of a pocket.... You get the idea..

Okay:

THE PROS (somewhat obvious)

1. it is ultra thin and weighs only 5 ounces.

2. the screen is bright

3a. it has wireless 802.11b

3b. the wireless features are now very intuitive and somewhat secure, a vast improvement over pocket pc 2002.

4. it has bluetooth for syncing wirelessly or for accessing your bluetooth enabled phone. (This I haven't tested with this ipaq)

5. it comes with a cradle, unlike some of their other models

THE CONS

--------

1. HP removed the stylus holder from the cradle... which means you can't hold an extra stylus conveniently in front of a docked ipaq anymore. Which means, if you want to quickly access something on a docked ipaq, you have to remove the stylus, which you must do very carefully or you'll disconnect the 'paq.

2. the battery life is much poorer than pretty much all competitors'; most notably the Dell AXim series.

3. no compact flash, only secure digital. Although, almost all compact flash ports are typically used for these days is to hold 802.11b cards, which this device has integrated. And SD memory has gotten remarkably cheap, so it shouldn't bother most users. Still, if you have a compact flash requirement, keep that in mind.

4. the screen is slightly yellow when viewed from a skewed angle. Some people care about this... if you're one of those people, be advised. Straight-on, the colors are accurate, however.

5. the new navpad isn't so great for games

Okay, that's it:

Finally, some advice

1. about the wireless features: they drain a lot of juice, so simply turn them on and off as you need them.

2. if you use it to read eBooks, the MS reader it comes with is already outdated! (And the error message is vague about that... I had to figure out the problem by reading microsoft's knowledge base.. not fun.) You'll need to do an update.

3. Buy a protective case; the one it comes with is basically garbage.

I had been always curious about the Pocket PC OS and its usefulness and practicality on the PDA environment. I am now a believer and definitely prefer it over the Palm OS due to its ease of use, compatibility and similarity to the Windows PC environment. This also results in a faster learning curve.

Integrated wireless:

This was the selling factor, and it did not dissapoint me. I got it to work at home and at the office, where I connect to different wireless access points. The iPAQ allows you to create individual profiles for every connection, so there is no need to manually configure every time you switch networks.

Bluetooth:

This technology is becoming more common around airports, offices, malls and other places, although probably you'll need to incur in a connection fee. I have not tested this feature yet although my iPAQ recently came across and recognized a Bluetooth network on one of the airports I travelled to.

Synchronization:

The iPAQ supports Outlook (preferably 2002) for Calendar, e-mail, notes, file and task synching. The Active Synch software is included and required on your host PC in order to start synchronizing with your PDA. A maximum o 2 PCs (partnerships) can be established for synching. Methods of synchronization include IR(Infrared), USB(using the included cradle), WLAN (yes, you can synch wireless) or serial.

Word and Excel documents are automatically converted into Pocket PC format when they are synchronized with the iPAQ. The original document needs to be copied into the Pocket PC folder (Pocket_PC My Documents) on your host PC before performing the synch.

Internet:

In order to connect to the Internet, you are required to be connected to a network, be it WLAN or Bluetooth. There are a few interesting web links included with your iPAQ and you can add your own favorites as well. Navigations is similar to Internet Explorer although you are required to scroll up/down and left/right continously on web sites that are not mobile-friendly.

E-mails:

E-mail accounts on the iPAQ are setup in an almost exact manner as Outlook on a normal PC. By default, and in order to conserve memory, e-mail attachments are not downloaded, there's also a default limit of e-mails you can carry at a time. E-mails can be downloaded while connected to the Internet or synched using the methods mentioned previously.

What about games? Two games are included: Guess what? Solitaire is one of them! The other one is Jawbreaker, a very simple but extremely entertaining game. There are many web sites with additional programs that can be downloaded for your iPAQ.

Programs and utilities included:

MSN Messenger, Windows Media Player, Pocket Excel and Word, Pocket MSN, Microsoft Reader, Calculator, Terminal Services Client among others.

Security:

Password security is optional; there are two security options, a simple 4-digit number and a more complex alphanumeric password option. Wireless connection security is obtained using 64 or 128 bit WEP encryption. Obviously your PDA is as secure as the network it is connecting to. Setting up 128 bit encryption on your iPAQ won't work if your wireless access point is unsecured.

Time settings: Up to two different time zones are available at the same time.

Display:

Very clear display, sharp, easy to read text, adjustable text size and fonts in some programs.

Battery:

The iPAQ possesses a respectable battery duration. It obviously varies according to your battery saving settings. Reducing the default screen brightness helps as well as turning off the wireless access or lowering the sound volume.

Settings:

You can monitor memory usage and power consumption, remove programs, adjust backlight settings, align the screen, sharpen the text, etc.

Other features:

Voice recording: There's a button on the upper left corner of the iPAQ to start recording short messages or reminders, very handy.

MP3 audio: MP3 files can be downloaded and played on your PDA using Windows Media Player. A headphone jack is also available for your private listening pleasure. Memory is limited though, is not like you can have a CD full of music on your iPAQ, don't confuse it with an MP3 player.

Letter Recognizer A very cool option where the iPAQ attempts to recognize your handwriting and converts it into readable text.

Block recognizer It's similar to the Palm's graffiti recognition

Transcriber It recognizes words written in cursive

Notes can also be quickly handwritten as if using the iPAQ as a paper Notepad.

Images can also be viewed using your iPAQ, and as with the MP3 files, you should consider the memory limitations.

Memory:

Additional memory can be obtained with Secured Digital (SD) memory cards. These come on 128, 256 and 512MB sizes at reasonable prices.

The HP iPAQ 4155 is a complete, full-featured piece of equipment, well worth its price.

I bought the HP IPAQ 4155 for 3 Reasons: 1)I set up a Wireless B/G Network in my home and needed to access it while I was on the road.

2) I was becoming dissastifed with how slow my Treo 300 was surfing the web.

3) I wanted to surf the web as fast as possible without a laptop or PC.

I've had this unit about a month. I am extremely satisfied with it thus far. It is my first Pocket PC. I've been using the Palm OS for over 5 years. To be sure, the Palm OS is more intuitive to operate. But I can do so much more with Windows Mobile Premium 2003. The HP IPAQ is a great MP3 Player (get excellent sounding stereo headphones), a very good PDA and, above all, has tremendous WIFI signal strength. The WIFI is built into the unit so there is really nothing to set up. I connected to my wireless network at home as soon as I took the unit out of the box. Lots of people have wireless routers in NYC so it is simple for me to connect (for free) when I am outside my home. I find the WIFI signal strength on the unit is about 1500 feet; but that depends upon the Router I am connecting to. I am so satisfied with the HP IPAQ 4155 that I am seriously considering ditching my Treo 300 and getting a Bluetooth Phone so I can surf the Internet when I cannot pick up a WIFI signal. The Processer inside this unit is very fast. I have not tried the Bluetooth yet.

The only negatives were the cheap case and cradle and the weak battery. My battery was going down to 0 after 2 hours of wifi surfing. I rectified these deficiencies by buying a hotsync charge and sync cable, a new custom case and a 2000mAh battery, which required a bigger battery door. Now I can surf a good 4 hours daily with the wifi before the battery completely drains.

Bottom Line: HP hit a homerun with this unit.

iPAQ 4155 in my opinion is simply the best handheld device on the market right now. Combination of ideal size, full features and excellent performance is almost hard to believe. I've used it for about a month now and I am very satisfied.

I use almost all of the advanced features including Bluetooth connectivity to my Sony T610 cell phone for remote internet access (this setup works quite well with T-Mobile data account), wi-fi networking at work and home, terminal services for control over other computers, data synchronization through wi-fi, VPN connectivity, etc etc. And of course, email and other related scheduling features work very well. All of this with a familiar Windows interface that is, I am happy to report, stable if not entirely intuitive.

There are few relatively small gripes, like I wish the back cover of the unit was silver (aluminum) to match the front, the cradle could have been better designed no to put so much tension on the connector, more memory would have been nice (this, however, can be remedied quite easily by adding a non intrusive SD memory chip), the OS integration could be more stable (thankfully it is easy to recover from the rare freeze), the included case needs a belt clip, and such. However, these should not deter anyone form enjoying the fine product that 4155 is.

You can use this thing as a mp3 player, use instant messenger, add a digital camera through the SDIO expansion slot, install software and games, read books, do work with email, excel, word, surf the net, connect to networks, and on and on... If you can imagine a miniature laptop pc, you are getting the picture. It is not however, an exact duplication of laptop or desktop capabilities. But it is a remarkably useful and powerful tool.

One word of advice: it takes patience and determination to make it do what you want it to do, particularly with more advanced features. But if you like this kind of stuff, then the capabilities are definitely there for you to use. If you're not technically savvy, then have someone knowledgeable help you set up everything you want and DO A BACK UP of it!!! Once you got that, you have one very powerful tool.

The new iPAQ 4155 is what I've been looking for. I've hopped around from Palm OS to Pocket PC, prefering the Pocket PC desktop integration and OS but finding that most of the high-powered ones were just way to big to carry around. The 4155 is TINY smaller than my Clie I replaced and light! Easy to carry around, I don't even notice it in my pocket. The screen is bright and crisp. The 400mhz Intel processor is plenty for my needs. I've played games on it, emulated an old Atari, handled all my work, and linked it to databases with no problem.

The integrated wireless was the selling point for me. I'm a wireless engineer, so it helps to be able to carry around such a small device with built-in 802.11b. My only complaint is that it does not allow you to manually set the SSID information if it automatically detects wireless network SSIDs, but that probably won't be a big problem for most users.

Again, this is the PERFECT handheld. I've finally found a handheld I absolutely love and I've been looking since the original Palm Pilot.

The battery on our remote was dead, wouldn't charge at all. Replaced with this, charged it up, now the remote works all day and then some. I don't know how long it would last because we put it on the charger every night but I imagine it would last awhile.

iPazzPort Mini Wireless Handheld Keyboard with IR Remote - Black

I was debating between this model, and the one with the FlyAir (motion detection for moving the mouse). As it ended up they sent me the wrong one and I received the FlyAir one. I tried it out, but the range was horrible. I could barely get more than 3 feet from my computer before it was unusable (the keyboard or the mouse). Within that range it worked well, but I just didn't care for the FlyAir. I contacted the seller and they immediately replaced they keyboard and included a prepaid label and envelope for shipping the other one back (serious kudos to them on the speed and manner in which they addressed the error). I received the new keyboard and it had the same range issue. I took it upstairs and plugged it into my desktop and it worked great, I could even use it 15 feet away in my kitchen! I tried a couple other USB ports on the front of my desktop and when I plugged it into the one USB3.0 port I saw the same results I saw on my HTPC. The receiver for whatever reason works like crap if you plug it into a USB3.0 port. At that point I remembered that all 4 ports on the front of my HTPC are USB3.0. I plugged the receiver into a USB2 port on the back and it works beautifully.

Pros:

Works great, even at a distance of nearly 20'

Keyboard is accurate, and mouse is easy to use.

Cons:

Does *NOT* work with USB3.0

I like the IPazzPort Mini Keyboard, It's work great, love the size. The TV remote feature is somewhat useful, more capabilities is necessary to be fully useful. Overall, the keyboard is functional for my Streaming TV Box. Good product.

I already own an universal remote but needed a keyboard/mouse for windows commands. I love this as it works great an it is small. It is rechargeable. It has the controls on the back that can be programmed to mimic media center commands. The receiver is behind the TV but I haev no problem with reception.
