Bluetooth PDA Adapter Card
Better purchase another bluetooth adapter if you are running Pocket PC 2003.Yes, the driver and registry update are available for 2003 even though the company that wrote them no longer exists. I have this card working on my Dell Axim X5. It works with my GPS receiver and my laptop. But as has been noted, Dial-Up Networking does not work.
Buy Bluetooth PDA Adapter Card Now
Perhaps at one time someone had a work around for this card but if it's still out there someplace I sure can't find it anywhere any longer in 2008. If your ppc still running 2002 you're fine but Belkin never released a driver for this guy for 2003, supposed to be the same as Dell's truemobile 300 but I've had no luck making it work and on a toshiba e805 your second issue is a bluetooth stack because there doesn't seem to be one built in on the us version of this pda. There are two versions of this card, version 2 has squared corners and that one works with widcomm drivers and stack but this version doesn't. I'm returning it can't find a way to get it working bought a sirf III cf gps instead, a shame because I already have a good bluetooth gps but the american 805 has only wifi no bluetooth...agggh don't believe the other reviews because if the stuff is still out there to make it work I sure can't find it. Buy it on a credit card because this seller makes a secret of his return policy....possibly more to come.Read Best Reviews of Bluetooth PDA Adapter Card Here
In Aximsite there is a Guide to use this card with PPC 2003 ( named "Bluetooth CF card for $20") and works.. but not all functions. This is the problem with this solution :
"The PPC denies any other BT device to connect via OBEX and see my files, while the other way around works (yes, I checked all security/encryption checkboxes, nothing works). For example, I can flawlessly connect to a Nokia or Motorola BT phone and see its files, but these phones can't connect on my PPC and see my files.."

Sling Media Slingbox AV (SB240-100)
- Redirects the TV signal to the computer of your choice--providing high quality video, no matter the distance
- SlingStream technology delivers up to a 400 percent video quality improvement over the original Slingbox
- Connects to digital cable box, DVR, satellite receiver, DVD players, video/security camera, or any NTSC S-video or composite video source
- Includes free Slingbox Finder service to locate a Slingbox from any network location
- Watch and control your home TV, DVR, digital cable box, or satellite receiver anywhere around your home or around the globe
Installation was an absolute breeze. It was so easy I was shocked! I was watching DirecTV/TIVO on my PC within 5 minutes of opening the box. I have broadband internet which is quite fast. Full screen viewing on my 20" 16:10 screen is somewhat grainy and blurry, but definitely viewable. I prefer to use about 1/3 of my screen for the viewer (SplingPlayer) and the other 2/3 for other applications. Nice sharp picture quality with this set-up! Surfing the web while watching TV is no problem. Web pages still load quickly and video is still sharp/smooth. Haven't tried to download a large file while viewing yet.
SlingPlayer is great! Choose full screen, left/right side, or adjust as you see fit. When you choose left or right side your internet browser (or whatever application you are running) will snap into place to cover the rest of your screen automatically. Very nice user interface and many skins to choose from.
No matter where you are, as long as you have an internet connection, you can watch your TV. I have Tivo which makes this device shine! I can watch my directv, watch anything that is recorded on TIVO, order pay-per-view, set up a program to record. Basically you can do anything that you can normally do with your DVR. The on screen remote control even looks identical to the real remote.
How is it different from the original Slingbox? I can't speak from actual experience since I don't own the original, but as far as the specs go there are some pros and cons.
The original Slingbox had a coax input. So you can hook up directly to analog cable or antennae. You can't do this with the SlingBox AV, but you can with the new SlingBox Tuner. The SlingBox Pro will do both analog and digital (and component HDTV).
The pros... The new SlingBox AV claims to have:
* SlingStream technology delivers up to a 400 percent video quality improvement over the original Slingbox
And the new SlingPlayer v1.4 for the Slingbox Tuner/AV/Pro provides:
* Improved video quality on the LAN: up to 4x the resolution of the previous SlingPlayer and over 200% speed improvement.*
* Adjust the SlingStream LAN video quality to match your particular computer and network conditions.
* Improved Setup Wizard: new screens are streamlined and easier to use.
* Improved Setup Wizard: direct access to customer support via real time chat. Relax and let our tech supports set up your router for you!
* AutoUpdate feature added to the Setup process ensuring users always install the latest software for their Slingbox.
* Users can rapidly cycle between Fullscreen (4:3), Widescreen (16:9), Letterbox, Windowbox and Pillarbox window modes to find the best fit for their video content.
* Full-screen improvements: If you put SlingPlayer in maximized mode it will stay there.
* Show/Hide player controls with one-click toggle. Just click once on the main player window to remove the controls when you aren't using them.
* Audio Visualizations added to Audio-Only mode. WinAmp AVS support means that users can add their own visualizations.
* Physical remote controls: SlingPlayer now works with remotes that support Microsoft Application keys. Now you can sit back and click on a real remote control to control SlingPlayer.
* SlingPlayer has a whole new look with the RedLine skin--just one more way to change the SlingPlayer to suit your tastes. With SlingCentral and other user contributed skins there are over 30 different skins available and more coming every month.
I won't miss the analog coax connection, I don't need it. If you need analog coax only then buy the SlingBox tuner. If you need both coax and digital devices then buy the SlingBox Pro (which will also give you component HDTV, but no HDMI).
On a final note, this unit is tiny. Much smaller than the original. It's about 1.5"(H) x 3.5"(D) x6.5 (W). Your gonna here some people call this thing ugly in appearance. It's not really that bad and it's so small that it can easily be hidden behind your other components or just pushed toward the back.
I'm a gadget freak and this is the coolest thing I've purchased in a long time!! Just buy one! This would make an awesome gift for anyone interested in computers and TV.

There isn't, honestly, much I can add that you're not seeing in either (well written) spotlight reviews. The Slingbox is, in my opinion, every bit as impressive as its reputation led me to believe it was. There were, however, a few things I labeled as being pretty important though, that I didn't clearly understand going in. I was hoping to just clear those up for any potential customers.1. The way this works is that Slingbox, basically, hijacks one of your cable boxes. For example, if I was to turn on the TV that my Slingbox was set up on, it's going to display whatever I'm watching. If I lived alone, this wouldn't be a big deal; but between everyone else in my house, I can't completely monopolize a TV. What I did was just attach the Slingbox to my basement TV, which they never use.
2. A connection to your home network is required. I had mistakenly thought it was optional, that you were hooking SlingBox directly to your PC (like other tuner models). Make sure you have some kind of an access point to connect to. If I was to wish for anything, I would have loved if this model came with some kind of a built-in wireless card. It would have been one less piece of equipment I had to buy.
3. Mac software is now available for download. I know a lot of us were waiting ... now the wait is over.
4. Streaming video is a monster on your internet hook-up's bandwidth, just be prepared for the slow-down if you have a lot of internet-ready devices (notebook, xBox live maybe, etc etc) running all the time. If your system has some mileage on the tires, this might be a good excuse to consider upgrading it a little bit.
Other then that, as I said, this is every bit as good as advertised. Enjoy it!

Installation on a normal home network setup is very easy. My setup was a little more complex due to voip router, and 2nd wireless router. Sling has instructions on their web site but I still had to mess around with my settings in order to get it to work. To work on multiple routers you have to do port forwarding on both routers to port 5001. Once I worked this out everything is great.Video quality is good in the house, haven't tried it from another location. I'm running the Sling AV with Netgear Ethernet power adaptors to my router and then watching TV via wireless to my laptop. Now we can watch TV in any room of the house. My wife loves being able to watch the news in the morning while in the kitchen. She also loves being able to surf while having a show running in a small window on the side.
Control of my Dish DVR is very good. We can manage any feature of our Satelite/DVR box. This will come in handy when we travel as we have our sons Seaseme Street shows on the DVR and now we can take those with us on the road.
Overall, I'm pleased with the Sling AV. It offers good performance at a great price point. Now Sling just needs to get the Mac version out so I can watch TV on my beautiful 15.4 inch Mac Book Pro.Bought the Slingbox AV last week, took about 15 minutes to get it working on my home network. Got good quality video even on wireless with WAP enabled. Works great from my office as well. Great product overall, the only thing you need to aware of is that the slingplayer mobile is not included. If you want to watch on your PDA device, it will need to be purchased separately.Bought this so my stepson, a college student, could watch TV downstate without having to pay cable fees. Works nicely. We tested and used it while in Las Vegas and the box was in Maine -no problem. It took calling the company to get it set up properly. They were cordial, efficient and effective. Had it running after 10 minutes online with the service tech. Kind of wish I had bought the one that allows more than one user at a time. Be sure you are getting the one that you want relative to the number of people who can watch at a given time.

This little projector is a joy in the dark. The ability to throw in a SD card and let it play is genius. It will even pick a piece of music off the card to play with your picture slide show.
Unfortunately, it is not bright enough to use in any but the darkest rooms. If you intend to use this on the road where you might not get a completely dark room, or you need to use it along with written materials, then this projector is not for you.

Had the PK201 for about 3 weeks now. 4 1/2 stars. The brightness has much improved. I love that I can now connect just about anything to the PK201. Hopefully the rest of the cables/adapter will be available soon. Battery life is poor, at about an hour. But I mostly keep this plugged in all the time. I wish the screen was just a little bit bigger. 70" easy with good clarity. The focus wheel is much better, not loose like previous models. Great for travel and hotel rooms. Even with some light ambient lighting you can see the picture fine. Best with complete darkness.**** Update **** After a lot of use I've noticed a few things when compared to other PK models. First the projection screen on the 201 has a smaller footprint on the wall. I'm unable to get the entire screen to focus. Areas remain blurry no matter what. 101 had better focus. Get the PK301, really impressed with that model. Bought one myself.
Want Optoma PK201, VGA, 20 LED Lumens, Pico Pocket Projector Discount?
1. VGA output from connection to portable laptop: Adequate due to focusing problems, i.e. unfocused image across the breadth of the projection which comes from a distance of approximately 12' in this case. Furthermore, focusing the image adequately with the focusing wheel is somewhat difficult. However, if the operator fiddles long enough with the focus, one can generally see a clear image over MOST of the projection if the projection is nearly perpendicular to the wall with minimal skew. Although 12' is outside the range suggested by the manufacturer, the Optoma PK201 has focusing problems even at shorter distances, e.g. 9'. The HDMI capability begs a user to connect the PK201 to a computer and project the desktop onto a wall as a replacement for a large screen TV. Currently, the latter process doesn't work well because not all quadrants of the projected image are in focus at the same time. Personally, I'd love to use this capability with my speech recognition system while browsing the InterNet, but a projected desktop consisting of text is very difficult to read. In order to read the fuzzier text, heavy use of the web browser's zoom capability is required which causes other problems. Optoma, you blew it here and I fully expect your next generation of micro projectors to precisely focus all quadrants of the projected image simultaneously. I won't be as forgiving if this problem reoccurs in succeeding generations. No excuses.2. Thermal: A purchaser wouldn't want a micro projector producing greater heat. Personally, excessive heat might be playing a role in the focusing problems. With the current design, 20 lumens is about maximum for micro projectors using LED DLP (currently) and passive cooling. Employing laser diodes instead of LEDs is an option for micro projectors, but I'm unsure which option has the greatest luminosity per unit of thermal output.
3. Luminosity: The projector is barely acceptable at 20 lumens. Unless one restricts the usage of their micro projector to nighttime hours, don't buy a micro projector with a rated output less than 20 lumens. The projection from the PK201 can be seen in a room with some INDIRECT exterior light so the brightness is acceptable.
4. Battery life: Marginal at best. Buy another battery as a spare. You'll need it.
5. The power switch is too small.
6. One can replace the included conversion software with Handbrake if the user is willing to fiddle with the settings. Personally, I use AVIDemux 2 to convert video for the PK201, but Handbrake will work as well. Thanks to legondaree on the Handbrake forums for these selections for use with Handbrake:
a. Select the "iPhone & iPod Touch" preset.
b. Set output format to "MP4 file"
c. Set Video\Video codec to "H.264(x264)"
d. Set Video\Quality to "Average bitrate(kbps): 1500"
e. Set Advanced\B-Frames to "0"
f. Disable Advanced\CABAC Entropy Coding
g. Set Advanced\Motion Estimation Method to "Uneven Multi_Hexagon"
h. In "Picture Settings", select a maximum width of 720 and height of 480 and set Anamorphic to "None"
Although, I initially thought about returning the PK201 due to the difficulty in focusing and the minimal life of the battery, I've decided to keep it as one can get a readable image across MOST of the screen if the aforementioned precautions are followed and one can always purchase an additional battery. The PK201 is a good micro projector and worth $300, but the difficulty in focusing and the minimal life of the battery detract from its usefulness. Remember, technology will continually advance these micro projectors so one has to weigh various factors before deciding to purchase. Personally, I don't think either the PK201 or PK301 are mature enough yet although they are close. The next generation of these micro projectors will probably see much wider adoption of these devices. I suspect 30+ tested lumens will probably be the minimum output and at least 90 minutes of battery life before these devices see wide acceptance.
In conclusion, the PK201 will work nicely for displaying pictures and video as a slightly out of focus condition won't generally be noticeable in parts of the image. Furthermore, if the PK201 is used primarily in a room with INDIRECT light, e.g. ALL shades pulled during daylight hours, or at night, the brightness of the projected image is adequate. The PK201 can also be used to display text, but slightly out of focus text can be maddening after awhile. Personally, I'm able to use the PK201 to project my desktop while browsing the InterNet with my speech recognition system IF I heavily zoom my web browser to enlarge the text and precisely fiddle with the focus wheel. The latter can be done with some difficulty and the text is largely readable so all isn't lost. I've decided to bump my overall rating from 3 to 4. The PK201 is so close to meeting the requirements for many applications and it's a very good buy if the intended use is primarily for viewing pictures or watching video.I was so excited when finally my PK201 arrived. I read the manuals before actually used it, charged it, connected to my laptop and watched one 20-min tv series. At the end of the series, I realized that white spots started to appear at the bottom of my screen.
Now these white spots have multiplied and black spots are also appearing and multiplying themselves. All in a span of 1 hour since my first usage!!!
I wouldve loved this projector because it's what I thought it would be, it was bright enough for my room. But a huge turnoff on the white spots. :(
If anyone knows how to remove these, please let me know. I am from Singapore and would be a big hassle to return it and ask for replacement.

Sony PEG-T415 Clie Handheld
- Thinnest PDA available--only .39 inches thick--with 8 MB memory
- Jog Dial navigator allows you to access phone numbers, notes, and more while keeping your other hand free
- Use as an infrared remote control for audio and video products such as a TV, DVD player, or audio receiver
- Synchronize with your PC using included HotSync cradle; compatible with Windows PCs
- What's in the box: Clie handheld, USB HotSync cradle, AC adapter, Stylus, Protective cover, Installation CD-ROM, Application manual, Graffiti sticker
I was disappointed with the screen though. It looks nothing like how Sony has posted it on the web site. The text and pictures are very sharp but the t415 uses reflective technology similar to the Palm m505. So if you're using it in a dim room and the light isn't hitting the screen at just the right angle, it's really difficult to see. No problems in bright, direct light. One other flaw is the placement of the buttons. If you look at the Clie from the side, the task buttons stick out ever so slightly so if you carry it in your pocket using the cover, you could accidently hit the butttons and turn it on. Sony should try and improve that aspect of the Clie. PC users should have no problems syncing. Mac users on the other hand will have to purchase "missing sync" software from markspace.com.
All in all, I'm satisfied with the t415. If you want a cheaper monochrome PDA you might want to check out the VisorEdge which is now ($$$). If you want color, I hear that the best thing to do is wait until the New Year arrives.
Buy Sony PEG-T415 Clie Handheld Now
When my Palm IIIxe started getting flaky, I looked around for a new handheld. I wanted the Sony Clie 610, but apparently they're discontinuing it now--everyone's out of stock, including Sony's own store. Why they'd discontinue a popular midrange color handheld when the market is moving that way, I've no idea. The alternatives were to pay $... more for the audio capabilities of the 760, or pay $... less for the b/w 415. I chose the 415 because I don't really want or need the audio, and I liked the slim design.Overall, this is a great device. There IS a contrast control, contrary to what one of the other reviewers said--it's right on the front of the device in the bottom left hand corner of the input area. I do agree that the screen is dim and hard to read, but I find that in most cases the backlight helps, and since the battery is rechargeable, I don't worry too much about keeping the backlight on.
The high res display is neat, and I think worth a little extra. I am not super-impressed with the pictures and movies--I think they'd work better on the color screen. I like the ability to use the Memory Stick, though I haven't tried it yet. Getting the data to my new Clie from the old Palm was very easy, thankfully. And there are a number of small features and 3rd-party apps that make this better than my old Palm. The WA Clock, for one, which allows you to.. *gasp* set an alarm without making a date book entry. The Clie can play various different sounds for an alarm, too. A lot of the 3rd-party apps are limited or trial versions, but Documents To Go (which allows you to share Word and Excel documents) is a welcome addition.
My biggest gripe is that Sony has changed the connector on this handheld from previous Clies, so the Targus keyboard I bought (which claims to work with "Sony Clie Handhelds") doesn't fit it. Even the salesperson didn't seem aware of this, and Sony sure hasn't gone out of their way to publicize it; the only way you can tell is to note that there are separate versions of some of their peripherals for the 415 and for the 320/610/760 group. Oh well.. if they hadn't done that, this would've been a five-star machine.
Read Best Reviews of Sony PEG-T415 Clie Handheld Here
I find that I'm the kind of person who wants to purchase the "top-of-the-line" in gadgets. However, I am also the kind of person who can't ever afford it. So I have to be an efficient shopper to get satisfaction. I must have read 50 or more reviews for this product (and a select few others)before I decided to purchase it. I knew that since I was ordering it I would not like the idea of having to send it back. The majority of the reviews I read on the T415 all complain of a screen that is anything from irritatingly dim to impossible to use. In fact numerous people claimed to have returned the T415 in favor of another handheld. I was disappointed to hear this since I really enjoy higher resolution whenever I can get it and I LOVED the idea of being able to customize the alarm sound however I wanted.I finally got the chance to...check it out on display. Now I understand the problems that people were having.......they need to take more vitamins and get their eyes checked. I ordered one right away. The screen is head and shoulder above all the other handheld I have seen. I LOVE the that I can get more information on the screen at once. That means smaller fonts and icons people! If you can thread a needle, you'll handle this gadget well. I you cant even see a needle when you hold it in you hand, look elsewhere for you plam device. The sound function is as cool as I expected. Don't expect to throw out all your stereo equipment or anything but it's cool none the less.
The screen doesnt have the same near iridescent background as a few other palms and some digital watches but it is not noticably dimmer than any other LCD screened device. (cell phones, calculators, ect...) I own a wizard organizer and the screen is slightly clearer and many time sharper that that. PLUS the bluish hint to the the gray scale along with the black on the screen actually makes this more of a "duochromatic" rather that monochromatic pda. Two colors rather than just one.
If any of the features above are intriguing to you, I recommend you choose the T415. Provided you don't want to spend the extra cash for the color version of essentially the same device. The color version does have I clearer screen as is expected...it's COLOR for pity's sake. You get what you pay for.
I must agree that I have not yet found the solution for the button problem. I dont mind the shape. I dont mind the tiny scroll "lever" (it's not even really a button). I just can't seem to stop the thing from turning on no matter where it is. Pocket, briefcase, soft pda case, wherever. I'm currently looking into some sort of hard case but there are few options for such a unique sized and shaped device.
Want Sony PEG-T415 Clie Handheld Discount?
I've read some of the other reviews, and I disagree with many of the gripes. I played with several handhelds before deciding on the Clie 415. The 320 resolution is wonderful; true, it isn't as pretty or eye-catching as the color displays, but the 320 is much easier to read than the lower resolution found on the lower-end clie and the handspring and palm systems. The display can be dim, but it is not any dimmer than any other handheld I played with, and it was actually easier to read for me than some b/c of the 320 display. I actually paid more money for the 415 b/c I wanted the display upgrade from the lower end clie. Also, it was much more attractive looking b/c of it's super-slimness and cute body styling, but it still had the memory slot for expandsion (plus Sony now has a memorystick camera for the clie out now).I don't know about the remote feature, since I have a perfectly good remote control at home that works just fine. I do think it was silly of Sony to put a remote feature on the clie.
Documents to Go has been a life-saver to me. I am a very busy person and it helps being able to write and edit documents on the run.
The only gripe I truely have with it is, and this is not Sony's fault, that you can't get Handsprings datebook+ to go on it. The datebook plus has a week in view that shows a week and displays what you have scheduled, not just the bars representing that you have something scheduled. I tried to download the only version of datebook plus I could find on the internet (a beta version) and it froze the system up, so I had to delete it. That was the only reason I even considered a handspring over this product.
Overall, I have become thourougly dependent on this product and love it... I just wish I could upgrade to the color, but I could not justify paying so much extra for the color when I really wouldn't use it, it would just be for show. The Clie 415T would have rated 5 stars if not for its extremely dim screen.
I bought the 415T and used it for 3 weeks before returning it and buying a Clie 610C. (I highly recommend the 610C.) While I absolutely loved the 415T's thin, brushed aluminum chassis, I just couldn't get used to how dim the screen is. If there is any kind of bright light behind you the screen is almost impossible to read. You need to have the back light on almost all the time, and even that was unsatisfactory. The blue-green back light is too weak to remedy the situation.
Another disappointment is the "Screen Commander," Sony's program that turns the Clie into a remote control unit for your TV and SOME other components. Not that I bought the Clie for this feature, but it would have been cool if it had worked well. The problem is that the 415T will only control 4 components at a time: your TV, DVD, VCR and receiver. It will NOT control your cable box or a CD changer, so for me the feature turned out to be worthless.
Bottom line, though is that the screen is just too dim. If Sony fixes the screen brightness they will have a real winner on their hands, because the 415T has by far the coolest form factor of any PDA.

Sony PEGA-SA10 Audio Adapter for Clie PEG-T/SJ Series
- Turn your Clie Handheld into an MP3 player
- Play MP3 files stored on Memory Stick media
- Watch video clips with stereo sound with gMovie video player
- Includes headphones
- Compatible with PEG-T615C and PEG-T415 models
The hardware is very durable and light and the cords are very long (which can be both a good thing and a bad thing). Also, the product comes with included headphones (regular generic headphone plugs) but ANY headphones that you already own will work.
I recommend this adapter to anyone with a Clie that does not come with built-in MP3 playback and that wants to listen to MP3s through their Clie.

This is a must have for any Clie handheld user. Except NR NX and SJ-33 ... It produces crystal clear sound and good bass without draining much energy either. And with the fact of the background music feature, this is a must have! [local website]Read Best Reviews of Sony PEGA-SA10 Audio Adapter for Clie PEG-T/SJ Series Here
I bought this must have item for a T625C, I own a CLIE SL10 wich cannot use this item.Well, I wanted to use the PEGA-SA10 on my CLIE so I put hands on it, after few days I get working the PEGA-SA10 on the SL10 with AudioPlayer 1.0.1, tested also avjmp3 (working perfectly but still alfa), tested AudioPlayer 2.2.x but I got troubles with the vumemeter and background music.
Wat I did basically is to install some libraries from the ROM of the T625C in my SL10.
If you like this item and you have a CLIE SL10 you can download the hack ...
With the hack you can run AudioPlayer but the adapter is needed in order to hear the music.
Hope you enjoy.

This is a great product for people who have Sony Palm Pilots. I currently use it for my SJ 22 and it works well. My only complaint is with Amazon.com. They expected that it would take a maximum of two weeks (it was on back-order) to recieve the package then another five days to ship it. After the two weeks came and went, they sent me an e-mail saying that it would take another 1 1/2 to 2 weeks before they recieved it then four or five days before I actually recieved it. Making it a total of 1 month from the time I ordered it til the time I got it! I cancelled my order with them and purchased it through sonystyle.com (luckily I had a 25% off coupon so it was the same price as Amazon) and got it within 6 days.
