It was so hard to find a case that was a hard shell AND a smart cover. This case has both! I bought the Apple cover first, but was disappointed with its quality and higher price. My friend also has this cover and was happy with it, so I decided to try it. The only bad thing about this case it that the snapping mechanism isn't easy to open, so my friend's broke off and I rarely close it fully because of this. However, the case stays closed mostly so it isn't a big deal. Great, sturdy case that is less expensive than others that are less attractive and less functional! Also, this particular seller shipped this item and it was in my hand in a few days!

Ionic Bluetooth Keyboard Tablet Stand Leather Case for "The New iPad" 3rd Gen 2012 Model & Apple iPa

Ionic Bluetooth Keyboard Tablet Stand Leather Case For Apple iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad 2nd, iPad 3rd, iPad 4th Generation Tablet AT&T Verizon 4G LTEI gave only 4 stars because I am not in love with the keyboard. It's very good but not excellent. I purchased the white and orange case. (ps.. it's tangerine orange not red)

The good: I think the price is outstanding. I think the look is great, too. Doesn't look cheap. I connected to the iPad 3 with barely any effort. Shipped in a professional package with easy to follow pairing instructions. The case does wake and put the iPad 3 to sleep. The keyboard is designed for Mac users so the keys are familiar. The top function keys are awesome and an added bonus if you ask me. You get function keys -Play, rewind, fast forward, volume, monitor brightness, search, the up down right left arrows.. The case also has a Kick stand on back of the screen to prop up the iPad.

The bad: The keys are all flat and smooth. No contrast when typing .. It's not comfortable for me and I make a lot of errors and miss letters and the space bar because of it. HOWEVER it's still better than the virtual keyboard which I hate and who knows I may get use to it .. Its better than the one-finger peck typing on the ipad's virtual keyboard. Also no vertical display only horizontal. There's no track pad probably because the ipad is touch screen but I still tried to swipe an imaginary one out of habit.

I honestly don't know what people's expectations are when it comes to a keyboard for a tablet. Honestly, this case is a wonder. The look is very professional and it's padded on the outer cover so it can have protection just incase you have accidents. First of all, the ipad fits PERFECT in the case. It does not move at all, and all the buttons on the sides or top are completely exposed so its easily reachable. The keyboard attaches itself perfectly to the case using magnetic technology. Even if you take it off (which is just pull it up) and throw it at the case, it will fall and pull itself in perfect place. Now, you might be thinking if the keyboard easily comes off, the answer is no. I tested by shaking the cover and swinging it fast but the keyboard did not come off at all, so you can always type and move your arms around and for sure the keyboard will always stay put. The stand on the back of the case looks very stylish and its hard to comprehend that it's actually a stand considering that it sticks to the cover using magnetic technology just like the keyboard and it looks as if its a part of the case design. It has a little cloth which you can pull to bring out the stand so you can mount your ipad and turn it into a laptop. The stand is very duarable, and it even holds the ipad on soft surfaces such as bed/couches (tested) while you type. Now for the battery life of the keyboard, continuous use it can last for about 2-3 hours, and if not in use, it can last for about 4 months (That's what the company stated). The keyboard connection uses bluetooth, which is extremely easy to connect. To connect all you do is turn on your keyboard and go to your ipad bluetooth settings, turn it on, and click on the keyboard's name when it appears and it connects in less than a second, done. The size of the keyboard is about the same as the iPad so about 9 inches and honestly if your a regular computer user, usinig this keyboard will be a breeze, even if its a little small. The letters are placed just like a regular keyboard and you can pretty much control all your functions of the ipad through it, such as sound/brightness/photos etc.

Honestly, for the price this thing is a steal. Crazyondigital might not be a wide known company, but I am sure glad I stumbled across this item and decided to take a chance. Hope I helped!

Fun Fact: I wrote this entire review on the keyboard on my iPad. Another fun fact, when I ordered this item, USPS lost it in the mail and when I informed Crazyondigital after a week, they sent me another one within two days. This company has great customer service so don't hesitate buying this product.

My case arrived last week. I have been using it and so far so good. Yes, the keyboard is small but what do you expect from a tablet keyboard? The bluetooth synced instantly. I like that the keyboard is detachable. The on-board speaker is great for listing to music as it amplify the sound from iPad 3. This case and keyboard really lets you streamline your desktop or larger laptop computer into a compact size. With applications like Evernote, Ghostwriter and LogMeIn (remote desktop access) my iPad2 becomes a compact computer away from home. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

When I got my iPad3 I did a lot of research on cases and wouldn't even take my ipad out of the box until I had the case and screen protector ready to go (torture!).

A keyboard was important to me, and I came close to buying the $80 keyboard case at Best Buy. SO glad I didn't.

First this case is really cute. Like another reviewer said, it is not red but rather a tangerine orange which is actually a 'pro' in my opinion. The leather is high quality. The magnets work and put the iPad into sleep mode when you shut it.

The keyboard works great. Of course it's very small and a little hard to type on, but there really isn't any getting around that since it has to fit the width of the ipad. I LOVE that the keyboard can be removed. This is a huge bonus! I really don't need the keyboard that often after all. If I'm going grocery shopping and using my iPad for my grocery list, I leave the keyboard at home for example.

The keyboard did not come with instructions on how to connect and being pretty ignorant to how bluetooth devices work I had no idea what to do. I called the customer service number and got a human being right away. She was not the most friendly, customer service oriented person I've ever spoken to. But still she was better than talking to an automated system and she helped me figure it out sort of. She didn't walk me through step by step or anything, it as more like "well did you go to the bluetooth settings on your ipad?" and then I had to figure out where those were, but once I did it was easy to figure out from there.

I guess the only criticism I have for this product is I wish the stand was sturdier. It's kinda floppy. It works don't get me wrong, but only on a flat surface like a table. If you have it propped up in your lap or something it probably won't stay propped up. Not a huge issue really, I'd still highly recommend this case especially for the price.

I bought this case because it had the keyboard that i need for my work. The case doesn't matter much to me. However, I only noticed how nice it is when I repeatedly received compliments from my colleagues. The case give the iPad a very professional look yet classy. If you use the iPad with this case in Starbuck, you will get several head-turns. The keyboard is very responsive and easy to type on. I highly recommend this case if you want to impress someone.

Received this today and could not be happier! I had another silicon case for my Chocolate Touch that I did not like very much. I saw this one and took a chance from the description that I would like it. I am glad I did, because I love it. It fits perfectly, feels durable, doesn't make my phone bulky (it still slides into a leather case easily) and it's a great color! All buttons are accessible and love the fact that it is clear and you can see the pattern on the back of the phone. Looks great! Would recommend to Chocolate Touch owners!

FAVI Entertainment Mini Wireless Keyboard with Mouse Touchpad (FE01-GR)

FAVI Entertainment Mini Wireless Keyboard with Mouse Touchpad
  • LED backlit keys.
  • Built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery, charges via the included USB cable.
  • 2.4GHz USB wireless receiver; works up to 30 feet away from the keyboard.
  • Compatible with windows PCs & laptops (7/Vista/XP), gaming devices (Wii, PS3, Xbox), tablets and many TV internet boxes
  • What's in the box? 1 x Keyboard, 1 x USB to Mini USB adapter and 1 x power cable.

I received the device last week and on day one, I loved it. It exceeded my expectations. Typing on it was a little better than what I do on my Blackberry Storm and the scrolling (while not perfect) was quite good. The back light was a terrific addition as I bought this to use in my theater room where often it is difficult to see much (other than the screen) which is why the back light was great in lighting up the keys.

Right out of the box, I tried using it on my office computer worked like a champ. When I got home, I tried using it on my laptop which was connected to my home theater projector again, worked like a champ. Then came the problem... the next day the unit became completely unresponsive. I tried all the trouble shooting that I could think of and read on the manufacturer's website but nothing fixed the issue. I even tried using it in different locations on several different computers and still no fix. What I find odd is that the back light is no longer working either. I know it's not a battery issue as this has been charged fully twice in an effort to troubleshoot and fix the problem. I also tried changing the rf but again, that didn't help.

Something that I found disappointing was the lack of support. If you go to the manufacturer's web site, you will understand precisely what I mean. This is the first thing that I can think of that the support was so lousy not even a phone number to call!

I am going to try using another I asked for a replacement because when this unit was working, I loved it (I was even thinking about ordering another one for work/office use). I will report back later as to what I find with the second device.

-------------------------------------------

Revision: July 30, 2010

I received the replacement and wanted to wait a week before posting a follow-up to my review. The replacement keyboard is working like a charm! It works just like it should. I have tried using it in many different settings and on several computers. No matter where it is used, it picks up the signal very quickly and does what it is advertised. For my use, this is a fantastic keyboard. I use it in my theater room where I don't want a cumbersome full sized keyboard. Instead, I just take this out of the coffee table drawer and use.

I am rating this keyboard 5 stars because it does everything that was advertised and better than I expected (i.e. typing is really good on such a small device). I don't believe I should give it less than 5 stars just because I received a defective unit as that can happen with any product. While the support of the company is still not the best, the place that I bought it from was excellent! They shipped me the replacement immediately and even refunded my return shipping costs.

Buy FAVI Entertainment Mini Wireless Keyboard with Mouse Touchpad (FE01-GR) Now

I recently purchased this little gizmo for use with a Ubuntu media center setup using Boxee. I was getting tired of fighting with the outdated wireless keyboard and mouse combo I have and wanted something that would be able to mostly replace both input devices while also having a range well in excess of the 10-12ft I need between my couch and the computer.

First of all, the good. Ubuntu had no problem with the device, it worked the very instant I plugged the wireless USB receiver into the computer. It was already charged when I received it, which was extra nice. It took me a moment to figure out that the receiver fits inside the device itself when you're not using it, which is a pretty clever design if you're planning on using it at different computers. Range is good; I'd say it's 95% reliable within 30ft, but drops off pretty rapidly around 35-40ft from the receiver.

The available keys are good and make sense. The volume and playlist control buttons were especially nice, since they fit my media center setup perfectly. The backlight toggle is great. They also did a good job of including keys that don't get much use by regular users but still come up enough to be annoying if they were left out.

Now for the bad stuff, which really isn't very much. The trackpad is decent, but is also sometimes a bit annoying. It's not quite as precise as what I'd expect from a laptop trackpad, but it's not really bad for the price. It also doesn't register taps very well, which would be a bigger issue if not for the nicely-positioned left and right mouse buttons. Incomplete function key selection could be an issue for some users. My hands are quite large so I didn't find it difficult to type with both thumbs despite the trackpad being in the way, but if you have smaller hands you might not be quite so lucky.

There is one flaw that I think is worth mentioning separately, though, since it wasn't something that occurred to me while looking at the device, even though you can clearly see it in pictures. The keys are arranged in a regular grid, as opposed to the standard offset you get on a keyboard. This definitely takes some getting used to, and can throw you for a loop at first if you're accustomed to touch typing. If there's one thing that could be changed to massively improve the device, it's this. I understand why it's designed like this, but in my opinion it's the only stand-out flaw.

Despite this, and the handful of other minor flaws, I think this is a really great little device to replace a keyboard/mouse for basic tasks, especially presentations or media control. It's compact, useful, and the price is great for what you're getting.

Read Best Reviews of FAVI Entertainment Mini Wireless Keyboard with Mouse Touchpad (FE01-GR) Here

I learned about this keyboard several months ago when it was announced on Engadget, but at that time it was $90+ and only available from some shady mailorder sites.

This is a TV remote control sized full keyboard with a touchpad.

I finally ordered one from Amazon last week for $60. I got it very promptly about 5 days.

It looks exactly like the one in the photos. It's very thin and contains a rechargeable lithium battery. It has a mini USB receiver that hides in a compartment in the keyboard. The keyboard itself also has a micro USB jack for recharging either from a PC's USB jack or a USB charger (the keyboard itself didn't come with a charger).

The touchpad works extremely well (better than your average laptop touchpad) and you also have keyboard arrows under the touchpad. There are HTPC controls along the top and just about any function a regular keyboard can do it can do via a function key even CTRL-ALT-DEL. It's even got a back light.

Overall a VERY cool HTPC remote and I would also highly recommend it for presentations. It even has a laser pointer built in although it's not the brightest one I've seen.

I'm using it with a Windows 7 Media Center PC (I also have a Media Center remote but the keyboard is useful for web browsing and accessing the desktop for maintenance). I am thinking of ordering another pair for my other two HTPCs.

Want FAVI Entertainment Mini Wireless Keyboard with Mouse Touchpad (FE01-GR) Discount?

I am an on the go supergeek and computer networking instructor. As such I love useful tech, and versatility. This gizmo does EVERYTHING, so I LOVE it! I use it in class with the laser point and mouse, as well as nearly full QWERTY keyboard. (It is missing the F8 to F12 buttons) but I rarely find that annoying. Hands down more versatile than the blue tooth version, so don't buy that one!

Pros: works with ANYTHING that can use a standard QWERTY keyboard via USB (tested on laptops, desktops, Wii, Playstations, Xboxes). Gets about 20+ feet range, so long as there isn't a wireless G/N (2.4GHz) transmitter nearby. The backlit keys are a MAJOR bonus, as sitting in bed at night this is THE keyboard to have. Great for those of us who have really adopted the thumbpad typing style from cell phone use! Better than the blue tooth version, due to compatibility issues.

Cons: Not AES encrypted, so don't use it for banking! Your passwords are ALL transmitted in the clear. If you need/want wireless keyboards with security I recommend the Logitech Wireless Desktop MK250 for Business (yes I own one!)

This is a really good device.

However, I got the "Rii Mini" which is the "North American" version of the same device. There is no difference between the "ProMini" and "Rii Mini" except the Rii has English packaging and instructions.

The trackpad seems smooth. the arrow keys seem intuitive for navigating media center.

the back-light is bright and makes the keys easy to read in the dark.

One thing I really love about this device is how good the keys feel. Their quality is far superior to anything else. I find myself often picking it up just to type even when the computer is off because they have a nice little clicking feel that is easy to push, yet stiff enough to not accidentally push by mistake.

the only downside is having the trackpad on the side. it gets in the way at times.

This item is perfect if you want a good HTPC keyboard/mouse. But not good if you need to do more work than entertainment.

PDair B41 Black Leather Case for Nokia E6-00

PDair B41 Black Leather Case for Nokia E6-00The one good thing about this product is that it is sturdy and well cushioned so it will protect your phone. The clip is detachable and can swivel, which is good too.

I had some issues with this product.

The case is too bulky for a phone that's small

The clip is too bulky and lets the case hang too far from your waist

The clasps that hold the phone in place were just too stiff and I could not insert/remove the phone easily

The latch, while magnetic, opened too easily when I bumped into stuff

Producto de excelente calidad... Se ve resistente y aunque no lo compre para mi sino para una amiga ella esta bastabte conforme por el producto...

EVGA GeForce 210 1024 MB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 DVI/HDMI/VGA Graphics Card, 01G-P3-1312-LR

EVGA GeForce 210 1024 MB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 DVI/HDMI/VGA Graphics Card, 01G-P3-1312-LR
  • 520 MHz core clock
  • PCI Express 2.0 x16
  • 1024 MB 64-bit DDR3 memory
  • 600 MHz memory clock and 1230 MHz shader clock
  • 8 CUDA Cores

Bought this so that my son could play lego universe on my gateway 500 pc. installed easily and with the enclosed cd (windows xp). One problem windows xp could not install the HDMI audio as the driver was missing. Every time I booted it would detect new hardware and then say that nvhda32.sys could not be found. Went to EVGA web site and downloaded the latest drivers. Great the hardware was installed but then the dreaded BSOD would occur over, over, and over again!!!!. Uninstalled the card, researched online and found that others have also had this problem. Found nvhda32.sys and deleted, erased it. no more problems. Since I'm not using the HDMI connection I'm satisfied with its performance. Planning to contact EVGA to request a stable nvhda32.sys module.

I put this card and a 450W psu into a 05-06 PC (with windows 7 and hasn't been upgraded before). The speed up is great and I can also use a second monitor now, this makes multitasking with much more ease for me. YouTube 1080p is great! No more waiting for 1080 videos to load and then watch. My small gaming habits has been enhanced where I can play everything on full detail with little to no lag at all. Windows 7 installed the drivers automatically but made sure they weren't outdated by downloading from nvidia. For people with noise concerns I can say that I cannot hear it over the 120mm fan on the psu.

-Troubles: BIOS was set to auto for onboard audio so it took my magickjack as a speaker.. (set to enabled)

After a bit of tinkering, I was able to have this card working on an old HP Pavalion a1350n computor with Windows XP. Just a note when installing this card, on computors with windows XP. After installing, you'll probably notice NO volume, well there is fix for that. In the loading screen in the Bios or start up, you will have to inable the onboard sound, switch to on, NOT to auto or computor managed. Or it will put your sound automaticly to the graphics card and leave you muted. Now I do not know if this happens to EVERY XP, but this is my experiance with mine. So plug it in, fire it up, and if you have no volume, you know what to do. After that, go to the Nvidia site and update your Drivers, and you are ready to go. I was impressed on the graphics this card produces, considering my OEM onboard graphics is least to be desired, and SLOW in gaming.

Let's face it. If you're reading reviews for a video card that costs less than $35, chances are you are not a hardcore gamer. What you are though is someone who is looking for a cheap video card either for a new budget build or to replace the on-board video graphics adapter on a motherboard. Either way, you've come to the right product because this video card not only costs little but it performs very well too. What I am using this video card mainly for is video streaming from Youtube and other websites onto my HDTV. I've tried both 720p and 1080p video streams and this video card doesn't even miss a beat. The other awesome feature of this card is the HDMI port. Because I am connecting the computer to my HDTV, it was necessary to get a video card with HDMI. This eliminates the need to connect an audio cable. Yes, I know. The sounds coming out from a HDTV is very weak but that's my problem, not yours!

The card installs very easily and after downloading and installing the latest driver from Nvidia's website, the video card was ready to rock and roll in Windows 7. Absolutely not one road block at all. I've always been a fan of EVGA products because they have never let me down. Hopefully this trend will continue here.

rooCASE Netbook Carryin Bag for Acer Aspire One AO722-BZ 11.6-Inch HD Netbook - VersaSport Series BlackI was looking for a case that could handle the rigors of being stuffed in available space in the front seat of an Ambulance and keep my netbook safe and secure and damage free, the rooCase does a pretty good job. The netbook fits perfectly and all sides are padded to prevent damage. The length of the zippered opening allows for easy access to pull the computer out and to put it away quickly when a call comes in. It has a holder for a mouse and added space for accessories such as a light, cell phone and pens, there is just enough room to carry the plug in charger. I gave it 4 stars only because it could use just a little additional space since the sides bulge out a bit with the mouse and charger inserted, but this case does the job that I needed it to do and it does it well.

This is a very well designed carrying case. It has great pockets. I strongly recommend it for a small computer, netbook, tablet, etc.

SANOXY Unlocked 3G MiFi GSM Mobile Router Hotspot WiFi Wireless N Mobile Broadband Router with SIM C

SANOXY Unlocked 3G MiFi GSM Mobile Router Hotspot WiFi Wireless N Mobile Broadband Router with SIM Card slot-WiFi Mobile Hotspot Router and Built-In 3G modem Rechargeable Lithium Battery- IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g, IEEE 802.11n WCDMA Travel Router/Wireless Mobile Hotspot Router compatible for T-Mobile and AT&T 3G Data SIM CardPretty disappointed in this. First of all, it seems like they sent me a defective unit that had already been returned by someone else. The router name originally showed up as "3G Router" but after I did a hard reset, the name spontaneously changed to "DANONE". I never did anything to rename it. It's as though some previous owner had already messed around with the configuration.

At any rate, I was never able to reach the Internet even though I could see the router in my list of available networks and could connect to it. I tried all the suggestions from the Sanoxy website FAQs but still was unable to resolve the problem using either SIM. Contacting the seller for technical support was futile. The contact phone number goes to an IVR menu and every option I selected sent me to a fax machine. My emails went unanswered. I can't say I'd recommend this, at least not for an AT&T or T-Mobile SIM. Maybe it works better for other carriers? Hope you have better luck than I did.

P.S. One other item of note: some of the dropdown menus in the configuration application do not work with IE9 also very frustrating. You'll have better luck with Firefox or Chrome.

UPDATE: I did end up returning this using Amazon's return authorization process. Once I was able to make contact with the seller (as a result of writing an unfavorable seller review), they were very good about refunding the purchase price. They also explained that the "DANONE" router name pertained to the name the units are sold under in China entirely plausible I guess. I'm still debating whether to take a chance on a replacement though. However the vendor has volunteered to test the unit before sending it out again. I've updated my overall rating based on the seller's good faith efforts to resolve the situation. I'll update this again if I end up reordering.

The website did not specify only a particular type of sim card (the ones with larger circuit area) can work with device. The newer generation sim cards that can be cut to become a microsim is not.

This is the second review. In the first the router had a terrible performance. Nothing worked ok.

Now the difference is signal. With better signal: no errrors, better stability (no wifi disconnects).

I will wait a day or two to give my final word.

For now 3 stars: Works.

I thought this was the perfect solution to share my 3g plan on all my devices. Unfortunately, the GUI for configuring the router is really buggy. I had to reset it once because of the problems on the GUI. After the reset, all the problems started to appear. None of my devices was able to connect to the internet, I could not hide the SID because the option on the GUI would not get stored. I played with tens of different settings for the cellular network setup and DHCP settings, but nothing worked. Finally, the battery only worked for about 15 minutes even though was charged for a very long time. Definitely I wouldn't recommend this product. Returned it (had to pay shipping) and awaiting my refund. Don't waste your time and money.

1. This router is a breeze to setup. Slip your sim card in and go. The only downfall is you have to remember you are getting a 3G connection. It's as fast as your cell phone, no faster. Good price!

rooCASE Dual-View Multi Angle (Black) Folio Case Cover for Asus Transformer Pad TF300T 10.1-Inch Tab

rooCASE Dual-View Multi Angle Folio Case Cover for Asus Transformer Pad TF300T 10.1-Inch Tablet
  • Dual-View Multi Angle Folio Cover for Asus Transformer Pad TF300.
  • Premium PU Synthetic Leather with Micro Suede Interior. (Tablet NOT Included)
  • Detachable Inner Sleeve for Handheld Operation; Sleeve Reattaches to Folio by Velcro for Landscape or Portrait viewing.
  • 3 Grooves for Multi-Angle Viewing . Magnetic Flap Closure. Access to All Ports and Controls. (This Case is NOT Compatible with Keyboard / Dock)
  • A MUST Have for all Asus Transformer Pad TF300 Owners!! Available in Black, Magenta and Red. Search: rooCASE Asus Transformer Pad TF300 Dual-View

I recently picked up a new Asus TF300 tablet ASUS Transformer TF300 T-B1-BL 10.1-Inch 32 GB Tablet (Blue) for the family and I wanted a case that allowed full access to all the ports while protecting the tablet from the minor bumps of everyday use. Bonus points would be awarded if the case could also fold into an easel and hold the tablet upright for hands free viewing. After doing some comparison shopping and reading all the reviews, I settled on the rooCase. Having installed the Asus and using this for a couple weeks, I'm happy to report I love it. The standout features that make this a winner for me are:

Great fit and finish. No loose seams, rough edges, etc. A well-made product.

Great alignment with all the ports and cameras. Controls are easy to reach and operate.

Protects the tablet without making it to heavy or thick to hold

The easel feature is easy to use and stable.

The only thing I would change, is I wish I could insert the tablet bottom first so that I could charge it without opening the case. As it is designed, the top must go in the case first so the rear camera will align with the cutout. That puts the charging port facing the spine of the case and you have to open the case while charging (who knows that may be for heat dissipation).

With the tablet in, the case measures 10.5 x 7.25 x 1 inch.

Now, I'll preface this review with saying that the product does do exactly what it advertises. My TF300 fits in there well (although you may need to fiddle a bit to get the cameras to line up with the holes). The slot for a capacitive stylus is nice too. The case works very nicely as a stand in either directions, which is great for movie watching.

Now for the complaints.

1. The case is quite thick. With the case, you'll be carrying around something around approximately 3 times the thickness of just the device itself.

2. Folding the cover around the back is rather awkward. It becomes even more bulky and cumbersome.

3. The buttons and corners of the screen are not as easy to access with the case.

Put simply, I find that this case destroys the elegance and slimness of the TF300. I find it more cumbersome than useful. This is entirely a matter of taste and people are free to disagree with me. But, as for me I prefer to keep things as slim and light as possible, and was rather disappointed with how bulky this case is.

As much as it pains me to say it, I wish something like Apple's smart cover was out for Android devices. Those do not affect the slimness of the device and give some added protection to the screen.

There weren't many of these cases available at the time of purchase, so I originally bought a Navitech. I was disappointed in it for several reasons. First, it has a snap so that you can use it in landscape or portrait. If the tablet is unsnapped, you have to take the tablet out of the case, use your palm to resnap it, then put the tablet back into the case. I was afraid to use that much force on the screen, so I had to remove it every time it came unsnapped. Also in portrait, it kept falling down. It didn't seem to be strong enough to hold it up. Then it didn't have a hole for the headphone jack, so I couldn't use that or my stylus lanyard. The ROO CASE IS SO MUCH BETTER! I was so disappointed with the Navitech, I bought the Roo. It is stronger, it has all of the ports exposed, and it has velcro instead of a snap. It also is made of real leather and stays flat when closed. The interior has a softer microfiber protective coating with bumps to hold the tablet. The Navitech did not have the microfiber and it had slits instead of bumps. This may have been the reason it kept falling down. The Roo costs about $10 more, but is entirely worth the money if you use the tablet frequently. If you are thinking of buying a case, I highly recommend the Roo.

This case is perfect for the tf300! All buttons and ports are accessible. The case doesn't smell bad like others do. It looks and feels nice and has a holder for a stylus. The keyboard dock for the tf300 also fits when you pull the sleeve off of the case. I highly recommend this product.

Got this for a huge discount (about half the pre-order/current price) when the TF300 first came out. Fantastic deal for the money.

Works well for keeping the Transformer safe from scratches and dings. Also, the TF300 has a very slim case, and the plastic back would deform slightly when being held. I'm sure it's designed to handle that, but still felt 'wrong' every time. The sleeve removes that issue, providing a stiff backing to the tablet. The added bulk is really a benefit makes it much more comfortable for it's weight. Without it, holding it in one hand would feel strained after just a couple minutes, but the rooCASE virtually eliminates that.

All the controls/ports on the tablet are easy to access (power, volume, micro-SD, micro-HDMI, headphones, charger port) in the inner sleeve. The speaker and cameras are unobstructed, both in the removable sleeve, and when attached to the outer case via the Velcro pad. The outer case's 'simulated' leather is handsome and really adds a classy touch to an otherwise plain tablet. I found it very comfortable to open it like a book (portrait position), fold the front cover around back like a magazine, and read an ebook, browse the net, or play games optimized for phones where portrait is the default layout. The only downside to that use is the outer case blocks the speaker opening in the back when folded like that, muting the sound.

When in landscape position, the little ridges hold the tablet at various angles securely, and the angled area between the sleeve and outer case actually enhance the audio experience, providing a tuned port for the speaker, and simulating a stereo effect. When moved to a portrait position, the sleeve part tends to slip past the ridges and flop down flat unexpectedly. After examining it a little, I think it's because the sides of the sleeve have uneven and asymmetrical gaps in the edges, while the bottom edge is able to maintain a balanced catch on the ridges. Also, the tablet's height puts more force at the ridge pushing outward.

There are magnets in the outer case's corners that hold the case closed against two more matching magnets in the sleeve. Not too tight, or so loose as to allow the case to fall open. The only drawback to that design is it really fouls up the built in GPS and magnetic compass. To use those functions, you have to remove the tablet from the inner sleeve for any accuracy.

The only changes I'd suggest:

Provide a slot in the outer case to allow the tablet power cable to be attached while the outer case is closed. Have to leave the case open or remove the sleeve to charge.

Increase the ridge depth to keep the angled settings secure in portrait position.

Make a version that works with the keyboard/dock attached, or provide some way to carry the keyboard separately to be docked when needed. I hate to carry the keyboard/dock naked when I need it for battery life and occasional typing.

A very good case. Even at the regular price it's a good deal. I highly recommend it.

Compaq C-Series 2010c Handheld PC

Compaq C-Series 2010c Handheld PC
  • 640 x 240 Display featuring 256 colors
  • A low power 33.6 Kbps modem
  • Type II slot Supports 50 different PC cards
  • Voice Record Button
  • What's in the box: 2010c Handheld PC, AC Adapter, Stylus, Auto-sync cable, Batteries, Modem cable, CD-ROM discs, Documentation

The display is excellent it's a good size and the backlighting makes it legible in most conditions (although having the backlight on really chews up the battery power). However, there appears to be a design flaw in the case. I purchased my 2010c in September 1998, and within 2 months, the plastic hinge on the left-hand side fractured, making the unit unusable. I returned the unit to the Compaq service facility, who replaced it free of charge. In May this year, the hinge on the second unit fractured in exactly the same place. I'm going to ask Compaq to replace it again, but the warranty will expire in September, so if the third one breaks, I'm out of luck. This is a high-end product with a high-end price tag: this kind of failure just shouldn't happen.

After you bought these devices also you have to buy a modem. And size will be same almost. Screen resolution is perfect and has color.

With this price don't miss. And according to me you should buy a handheld device instead of any palm or pocketpc.

Unisen iPazzPort KP-810-19 Wireless Keyboard and Touchpad 2.4G RF LED Light Includes 2 AAA Batteries

Unisen iPazzPort KP-810-19 Wireless Keyboard and Touchpad 2.4G RF LED Light Includes 2 AAA BatteriesI use my computer as an entertainment center for things like watching movies from my couch. Wireless functionality is important to allow for relaxed viewing. When my wireless mouse and keyboard needed to be replaced, I replaced them with this single device that is the size of a remote. The product was immediately usable after plugging in the wireless adapter and works great. My big hands make the keys slightly difficult, but the keyboard is bigger than that of a flip phone.

One problem occurred that is so unthinkable that it made me laugh. The battery slot was missing a component, specifically the one that completes the circuit to allow for the device to be powered. This issue was too silly for me to go through the trouble of returning the product, so I shaped a piece of foil to allow for the current to flow. I am sure this was a rarity, but it certainly does not inspire confidence.

Overall, a good product and worth the reasonable price.

I didn't know that something like this was available for such a cheap price. It works well, the mouse pad is great, the extra left mouse click button is well thought out. It has a light also, which is a good idea, but I haven't had much use for it.

PDair Leather Case for Apple iPod Touch 4th (8GB/32GB/64GB) - Book Type (Black)

PDair Leather Case for Apple iPod Touch 4th - Book Type
  • 100% Handmade with Genuine Leather; Removable 360 degrees belt clips included; Opening and closure with magnetic studs.

The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is, 1. The shipping was very slow, took several weeks. Take into account though, that this item shipped from Hong Kong and that it is of no fault of the actual product itself. 2. The sides of the iPod are a bit more exposed than I anticipated, but still enough coverage to keep your iPod from damage if dropped. The quality of the case is great, it feels like leather, is smells like leather, it's stiff and firm and not some floppy fabric. The device is firmly mounted into the case so there is no slipping of the ipod or danger of it falling out. It also, unlike many other similar cases, the case can be used with screen protectors without it bubbling up. The belt clip is also very good quality, it screws into a hole on the back of the case, and the clip attaches with a locking mechanism that can only be released with a button on the top of the clip.

I would very much recommend this case to others.

Navman GPS 4460 Wireless Bluetooth GPS Receiver with SmartST Navigation Software for PalmOS 5.0 Hand

Navman GPS 4460 Wireless Bluetooth GPS Receiver with SmartST Navigation Software for PalmOS 5.0 Handhelds
  • 12 Channel Receiver
  • MCX External Antenna
  • Vehicle adapter
  • 30 Hour Battery Life
  • SmartST

I have a Palm Tungsten T2, and bought the Navman GPS 4460 to provide GPS capability for the occasional road trip and/or business trip. I had also considered the Delorme Earthmate, but decided against it based on some feedback on the web regarding the accuracy of the maps and lack of voice guidance. The one review I did find on the relatively new GPS 4460 convinced me that this was worth investigating.

The GPS 4460 comes with the GPS receiver unit, a couple of mounting brackets for the receiver and the Palm PDA, a memory card reader, a 12V car adapter for the receiver unit, 3 AAA size batteries, and 4 CDs of software/maps. The receiver unit fits nicely into its associated mount, which can then be easily attached to the inside of your rear window. This assembly is held in place to the window by a suction cup. The PDA can then ride up front with the driver in it's own cradle (usually plugged into a cigarette lighter socket).

The software for the PDA is excellent, as are the maps (as far as I've tested them, that is). Entering destinations is easy once the maps are loaded onto the SD/MMC card (which you must have and is not included in the kit). The voice guidance is clear, if a bit confused at times (i.e. it can ask you to bear left and make a right turn, even though the visual map indicates that you should keep going straight). The best work round for this, as always, is the judicious use of common sense. The visual cues (when you can safely look at the display while driving) are also excellent. As a PDA is used as the output/display, screen contrast, brightness and audio volume are are limited by the PDA you have on hand. So far the T2 has performed acceptably except in bright sun light (when the display becomes nearly unreadable).

Now for my MAJOR peeves with the system the installation software and instructions are UNFORGIVABLY bad. First, you need to purchase a SD/MMC card for map storage etc this is not provided in the kit. Second, installing the desktop software crashed my computer (because it tried to it's own drivers for an existing card reader I had in place something I had to go back and fix). Third, when I tried to activate the software (and followed instructions on the screen and quick start guide), it was in no way clear that THE SD/MMC CARD SHOULD BE IN THE CARD READER AND NOT IN THE PALM. What activation does (I'm surmising from experience) is to install the license key onto the SD/MMC card. Once that is done, the software on the PDA will work (because it sees the key when the SD/MMC card is in the PDA) and the Map transfer software will work (because it also sees the key when the SD/MMC card is in the card reader). Fourth, I got memory errors on the PDA when I first tried to run the software (which were fixed with a soft reset, but none of this was clearly mentioned as a remote possibility).

So in closing the unit is working great now that I have it running. Getting it up and running was a problem as noted above. Some better/clearer documentation on the installation front would have been nice. Had it not been for the lousy install, I'd have rated this as a 5 star product.

Buy Navman GPS 4460 Wireless Bluetooth GPS Receiver with SmartST Navigation Software for PalmOS 5.0 Hand Now

The maps and GPS receiver function well, but the software has several obvious omissions that undermine the true potential of the system:

1). Doesn't allow listing POI's by distance from your current location instead it lists all POI's in the database in alphabetical order. When in an unfamiliar area, I'd like to be able to select restaurants or gas stations and have the software list all available sorted by distance from my current location, rather than requiring me to know the exact names and locations. I mean, for a gas station, what's more important, the name or how close it is? (Especially when you're running on fumes in an unfamiliar area).

2). Lack of integration with native Palm software applications, most notably the address book/contact database application. It really should be able to link to the address book to plot contact addresses that is such an obvious omission. It doesn't even allow you to copy and paste addresses into the navigation software.

3). Tapping on a location or POI on the map causes a pop up menu to appear that allows you to see the name of the POI or street and to select it as a "departure" or "navigate to" point or to add it to your favorites, but a more helpful and useful feature would be to have the name, address and phone number pop up and to offer the option of adding that information, not only to the favorites list but also to the Palm's address book for future reference and use.

4). Lack of road-type options. It allows you to avoid toll roads and urban areas and allows you to select either quickest or shortest routes, but having the option to select most or least use of freeways or side streets would really be helpful...as well as having the ability to reroute around traffic congestion.

5). The POI feature does not allow text entry searching, instead you start with "country" then "category" then "type" and finally "area". Having the ability to type in a name or partial name would be very helpful when trying to locate specific points of interest...like a restaurant. For example; a search for a restaurant in Dallas, TX requires you to go to the Points of Interest screen, select a country, select a category (Food and Drink), select a type (restaurant) and then provide an area to search. If you type in "Dallas" for the area you are provided with a list of restaurants in alphabetical order through which you may scroll down four screens which doesn't even get through the "A"s...so, unless you only like eating at restaurants that have names beginning with either numbers or letters from "A" through "AL" then you won't be finding what you want on this software. Attempting to narrow down the search by entering a zip code for downtown Dallas just makes the software default to listing every restaurant in the state again only four screens of scrollable selections hope you like eating at restaurants with numbers for names. As a result of this problem, the POI feature is basically useless.

6). The company does most of its business in Europe and that fact is evident by the software's menu layout, some menu items and the use of European spelling (i.e. petrol stations, exhibition centre). This product was clearly ported over from European versions of the software and was rushed to the US marketplace without adequate "real world" testing and as a result, the final product much more resembles a playful toy than a serious tool. In fact, you could say that a more appropriate name for the Navman SmartST software would be the Navman DumbST software ;) The software translates fairly well for the most part, but I'm hopeful that future versions are more tailored to the way Americans think and the way this country is mapped out.

Though no application is ever a panacea, there are just a few too many compromises required with this particular system to justify keeping it. I plan to return my Navman in hopes of finding a Palm GPS system that's more feature rich and better integrated with the Palm computing platform's applications.

Dylan Spears review is an excellent one. This is product is certainly not for serious use. Software needs lot of work. GPS box is pretty good. Always gets a fix and bluetooth connection is reliable. Navman is going to come up with a new software release in late summer.

Other shortcomings of this products are

1) Lack of charger adapter for Palm. They could have easily used a Y style cable and plug to charge palm.

2) Software always chooses the same route irrespective of the routing option (Fastest / Shortest) chosen. e.g. San jose to LA always picks 580 to I-5. Shorter route is 152E to I-5.

3) Suction mount for GPS is inconvenient. Power plug and the indicator is on the glass side. You have to hunt for power switch to turn it on and then in day time it's hard to figure out whether it is ON or not.

4) GPS hw always turns off even if external power is present. You always have to turn it on. Kind of annoying.

5) SW crashes often. It will start repeating a turn again and again and again then die.

6) Suction mount for PDA has wrong orientation if you want to mount it on the windsheild left to your steering (best position). Glue on Plastic base is not heat resistant. Falls off in an hour if you leave your car in sun.

7) Database errors. Out of 10 destinations 3 were wrong. They were not in a new area.

8) Limited display option. You can not see time and distance to destination at the same time.

9) Does not understand zip code. Takes lot of time to enter an address.

Want Navman GPS 4460 Wireless Bluetooth GPS Receiver with SmartST Navigation Software for PalmOS 5.0 Hand Discount?

I was looking for a Palm pda based vehicle navigational system and researched the market for gps products. I short listed three products delorme bluelogger, tomtom BT navigator and navman 4460. The delorme was cheaper but lost on maturity of product, quality issues listed on their forum and did not include pda and gps mounting accessories.

The tomtom was comparable to navman but did not have replaceable battery! I decided on Navman 4460.

The install is not straight forward but quite confusing. The software initially failed to download maps and gave a confusing error message that application is corrupted. I had inkling that it needed software keys installed and that did the trick.

Once the software was installed, it worked fine. But I could only use only a part of Tungsten T3 screen. It needed another software download to get full screen usage. Why it was not part of initial install? It beats me as the required files are included on CD.

The software is easy to use. The GPS fix is immediately obtained. It is very easy to set destination and navigate. The PDA mounter and gps windshield mounter are suction type but really solid. The pda mounter is not a true ball and socket joint type but it is not really a problem. The bluetooth works fine. The auto-rerouting works great. The db is pretty good.

I am very happy with software but after some usage found the following features lacking:

1. Ability to avoid certain areas or road stretch is not available. One of the big reasons I got it is to avoid traffic jams.

2. The Router Demonstrator could not be speeded up! The path could not be manually navigated on screen! It is pretty useless without these two features.

3. The Map panning does not work very well. Many times it does not move the map. The map of a large area could not be easily viewed.

4. There is no desktop routing or map software. It would have been so much convenient to view/plan routes and maps on big desktop screen.

Despite the lack of above features, it is a great product and has worked flawlessly. I am taking one star off for install and lack of some features.

I ordered this knowing that it wasn't listed as compatible with my Tungsten T5. I tried many times to get the software to work but it didn't. I ended up installing Mapopolis software and have been using it for over 6 months.

The Navman works perfectly with Mapopolis on my T5. The receiver is very small and sits on my car dashboard. It is small enough that you could put it in a coat pocket or purse if walking around. Battery life is great I haven't timed it but I'm sure it is around the 15hrs of active use that other people have found. If you are just an occasional user like I am, this translates into months of use before the battery dies.

My only complaint is that they never bothered to update their software to make it compatible with the T5.
