IOGEAR USB to PS/2 Adapter for Keyboard/Mouse GUC10KM (Grey)

IOGEAR USB to PS/2 Adapter for Keyboard/Mouse GUC10KM
  • Works with any USB compliant system with PS/2 Keyboard and PS/2 Mouse Ports
  • Keyboard and Mouse Can Be Attached to Portable Computer Simultaneously
  • Supports wheel mice
  • USB Bus Powered
  • Requires no IRQs
  • 3 Year Warranty
  • For MAC users: Mac OS 8.6 or greater and Available USB port
  • For PC users: Windows 98, 98SE, ME, 2000, XP and Available USB port

I tried a couple of PS/2 to USB converters, and always had issue until I put this cable in place. IOGEAR said it was the only one they tested with, (Go figure) but I am happy with the results. Not to mention it cost me less then the other cables did.

I have an old Microsoft Natural Multimedia keyboard I'm very attached to. Sadly, my new computer does not have a PS2 port, so I bought this so I could still connect it.

Big problem: It's slow. I set my keyboard delay to the smallest value possible, but it still doesn't work with this adapter. Press if you press and hold a key, it pauses, stutters, the goes. I'm going to have to replace this item as it does not let me scroll or navigate smoothly and quickly with my keyboard.

As many have pointed out, this is the only model that works well with IOgear's line of KVMs that are PS2-only models. I ordered several to have my 4 port KVM (the green one with the 4 cables built in). One of them turned out to be defective. The symptom was the computer reporting it as an unknown device. Amazon replaced it promptly at their expense, and all is well.

Want IOGEAR USB to PS/2 Adapter for Keyboard/Mouse GUC10KM (Grey) Discount?

This is yet another PS/2 to USB adapter that drops special characters, when that key is held down. "CTRL-P" to move up a line in emacs, starts spewing 'p' characters into my document..

This IOGear is, to date, the worst offender I've tried, dropping my CTRL char within a few seconds of holding down the key. Highly unacceptable for this emacs lover!

This thing is going back, and I'll be sticking with the Adesso ADP-PU21 that I borrowed from work, which works significantly better for me -it's had one hiccup in a week for me, versus IOGear which hiccups within 5 minutes.

The interesting thing to note is that your mileage may vary. While the Adesso has been pretty darned stable for me, it sent my coworker's setup into fits after an hour or so of use. (it actually locked up his keyboard, lights flashing and everything)

And, looking at the IOGear reviews, most seem to think it's the greatest thing since sliced bread -and it's been the worst adapter I've tried!

So. Moral of the story, I guess, is to buy from a vendor that has an excellent return policy (like Amazon! :)

I'm using a Lenovo W510, a Lynksys 4-port powered KVM, with a PS/2 logitech keyboard, and a PS/2 MS Optical mouse -plugging the adapter into a USB 3.0 port on the laptop..

Clear - Cruzer Lite S-line TPU Case - For The New Ipad (Apple Ipad 3)

Clear - Cruzer Lite S-line TPU Case - For The New Ipad
  • Keep your Ipad 3 safe and protected in style.
  • TPU is more cut and tear resistant than rubber. It is abrasion resistant, and has a high degree of transparency. This skin is more stiff than silicone skins, but remains flexible.
  • Applicaton and removal are easy.
  • Shock absorbent, shatterproof, and anti-scratch material

I have had this on my Ipad for almost a year now, it does very well at protecting the back an the sides, plus its great that it doesnt stretch out at all when taking it off and putting it back on. My only complaint that I have about it is the color doesnt stay very long and after about 4 monhts the clearish color started to change to this musty yellow, makes it look kind of like the "white" walls of a smokers house, Nicotine yellow I guess what you could call it.

Can't go wrong with cruzerlite. Perfect fit and it has a nice grip. Been testing out different cases but I keep on going back to this brand. When there is a new release I get it right away

Want Clear - Cruzer Lite S-line TPU Case - For The New Ipad (Apple Ipad 3) Discount?

Got this as part of a deal from the seller so I threw it into the order, why not? Gave it to my mom since she had no shell on her iPad. I like the design, it's translucent and clear so you can still see the silver back of the iPad with it still being protected. As TPU, it's kind of a hard gel, so in between silicone and harder plastic backs. It's trim-able, which is good since a small part needed to be cut in order to fit that smart cover. It's odd that the case ISN'T entirely smart cover compatible, but again, you can alter it easily enough to fit your needs. This is a decent deal if you are on a budget but want sleek and adequate protection.

  • FiberMesh Tip is a tightly woven conductive material that is highly durable and resistant to tearing and breaking
  • The result is ultra accurate and responsive performance, including the ability to work at any screen angle with less pressure required for each movement
  • Longer length; Solid aluminum barrel construction
  • Cleans the screen as you use the stylus
  • Package includes 3 clip-on lanyard attachments: 3.5mm headphone jack attachment, 3.5mm headphone jack with an elastic coil for screen use while attached, Charm clip for attachment to key chains, charms, or bracelets

Nice looking, but is not real leather. The plastic that covers the sliding kepboard rips at the bottom where the charger goes. It also hinders the phone keyboard from sliding in and out easily. I do not expect it to last very long. It has extra pockets that are useless for more than thin piece of paper. the pockets for the extra memory cards are also useless. The memory card will be pushed up against the touchscreen of the phone scratching it. It also creates a problem closing the cover to the phone. Its also a hassle to use during a phone call, the flap is always in the way. I no longer use it, and its still new except for where the plastic is starting to rip at the bottom.

Royal DV1 1MB PDA (with Keyboard)

Royal DV1 1MB PDA
  • 1 MB RAM for storing addresses, memos, to-do items, and appointments
  • Pen-based input with handwriting recognition
  • Easy data entry with palm-size folding keyboard
  • Backlit LCD with touch screen
  • Synchronize data with included DV Link software or with Microsoft Outlook and Schedule+, Goldmine, Lotus Organizer, and ACT!; includes docking cradle with PC cable, three styluses, and flip-top cover

Kudos to Royal on their new line of PDA's (DV1,DV2,and DV3). Small, portable, easy to use. While there is no graffiti language input, I found the on-screen keyboard quick and easy to use. This unit is excellent as an organizer, but lacks the ability to download software....

All units come with a docking station, external keyboard, and leather case (case is sent free from Royal when the registration card is submitted), and software for organizing and syncing.

I think Royal has done an excellent job of providing a quality unit. .... I found this an outstanding value....

I also was able to sync with my computer with no problem....

Bottom line... most people never use the "extra" features of the more expensive models, so why waste your money? My advice...go buy one, try it out....I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Buy Royal DV1 1MB PDA (with Keyboard) Now

It has the essential PDA features -touch screen input, hot synchs with the computer, 1 MB of memory, planner, memo, to do lists, time, currency converter, attaches to a keyboard... I got mine as a gift just before I was about to buy a popular brand and I am so greatful I got this for free because now I know the popular brand is hyped. There are some problems though. The unit hangs once in a while. The screen is smaller than the popular brand by about an inch. And the backlighting is not as clear as the one on the cellphones. In fact, it is hard to read in the dark. It also has no internet capabilities. But somebody graduating from the pocket planner should be okay with that. The only other major hitch is the 1 MB memory. But I think that shouldn't be a cause to worry if you regularly hot synch with your computer like I do.

If you own a 15-20 year old car, you will like this thing. Like an old car, the DV1 is quirky, but because I am more focused on cost (and I have never used a more expensive PDA or owned a new car), I am willing to put up with the shortcomings. It is only an organizer, you can not add software, but that is all I need. My DV1 has never died the big death (though you can see others have), but I can tell it is cheaply made (poor fitting parts). I have had some troubles with syncing with Outlook. I have leared, you have to pay attention to the settings on both DVsync and Companion Link, and still I am not sure why it does what it does. But on the whole I feel ok about syncing now. Outlook is the main reason I got this thing (I am finally using Outlook's calender in a shared setting). And the DV1 is ok for Outlook (maybe only Outlook), it transfers todo items, calender and contacts from (only) your main or root contacts folder. I have tried Royal's PIM for a different organizer, and I prefer Outlook. The DV1's form factor is pretty good, it is small enough to carry comfortably in a coat pocket, but just large enough to be easy to use. I never use the detachable keyboard, and while I see where it might make some data entry tasks easier, it makes others harder, so I feel no great desire to learn how to use it. If you need to take your Outlook information with you and even add a bit to it from the field, but you don't want to pay for anything else, this could be a good organizer for you.

After reading the description before buying, I thought that this might be just what I wanted. Not so. Instructions are not too clear, and the display sucks. You have to hold it a certain position to be able to see the display to do anything. It is supposed to have a backlit display, and it does, but what a joke. You can hardly tell the difference between backlit and not backlit. I have had other Royal electronics before and was very satisified. Not so with this . I really expected a whole lot more from Royal.

This is a very good pda. I actually got it at circuit city, not on amazon.com, but still they are the same product. anyways this is a really good pda. it doesn't have internet and software connections, so if your looking for a pda with that you should look for something else. otherwise, this is a good product for if you want to be organized. for instance it has a phone book, even with the tabs so you can skip to a certain letter. Also it has a to do list, and you can check them off once you have done it. also it has a memo area where you can just write down quick memos. Also it has a planner where it gives you the whole month view. Another thing i like about this is that it lets you view what you have written. you don't even have to click on it. it shows you the first line that you have written, on the bottom of the screen. Also it has an area where you can set up things like when you want the week to start, sound on or off, when the auto shut off should kick in, and the format that you want the date set in. Also it has an erea where it shows you your memory usage. Overall this product is great for those of you that want to get organized. I would really recomend buying it. it is good fro those of you just starting to get into the PDA "thing" . BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT!!!!! c u l8er

AAXA Technologies P2 Pico Multimedia Handheld Projector

AAXA Technologies P2 Pico Multimedia Handheld Projector
  • Sharp SVGA (800x600) resolution
  • Bright 33 Lumen LED light source
  • 1GB onboard memory + microSD reader
  • MP4, MP3, AVI, JPG, WMV decoder; VGA, RGB, iPod, PSP, PDA, DVD input
  • Projects up to a 80" image (in low-light conditions)

AAXA's P2 is the best art projector I've used. For that application, it deserves five stars. With the P2 positioned over my desk, I can essentially turn my entire drafting table surface into a computer screen. The P2's 33 lumens are bright enough for a satisfactory image with room lights on. Like any other projector, the image needs to be shaded from sunlight, but the room does not need to be dark.

The P2 is generally marketed for business/PowerPoint presentations. Any shortcomings there are likely due to variable environments, but the projector is terrific in a controlled studio. I've used an inexpensive microphone stand to suspend the P2 over my work table. I wrapped black electrician's tape around the mini-tripod's legs for a secure attachment to the end of the microphone boom. The P2 can be pointed straight down toward a flat table or angled to match the tilt of a slanted drawing board. At 30 inches over the table it projects a bright 15x12 inch image with room lights on. At 66 inches over the surface (the full extent of my stand), the projected image is a clear 30x22 inches with subdued room lighting. The P2 produces a vivid image over six feet in width in a darkened room.

I get the sharpest image from the P2 when I set my laptop PC to 800x600 at 60Hz refresh rate. The auto-detect settings on the PC wanted to use 1024x768 resolution. While that works, the projected image is somewhat blurred. When I first switched to 800x600, my PC wanted to run at 70Hz refresh rate, but the P2 couldn't decode the signal. I had to use the graphics adapter's advanced settings to force a 60Hz refresh rate. The PC graphics adapter can also easily switch to portrait mode or mirror the image so I don't need to reposition the projector.

I prefer the PC as the source because I can easily pan and zoom the image, but my Zune also generates a clear image with the P2. Apparently, Microsoft's Zune software automatically resizes images when they are loaded on the Zune player, making them near perfect for the P2. Unfortunately, the Zune AV cable from AAXA is ridiculously short (12 inches), and so the player has to be suspended from the overhead boom with the projector. That makes it hard to reach the Zune player when I'm sitting at the table.

The P2 reads jpg files from internal memory or a micro SD card, but to get a clear image you need to manually resize picture files to 800x600 pixels or smaller before loading them in the projector. That's a hassle. As noted below, controlling internally stored pictures is also difficult when the projector is overhead.

There are a couple annoyances with the P2 design. Since the P2 projector's IR sensor is on the back edge of the unit next to the VGA connector and pointed at the room's ceiling, the P2's remote doesn't work when the projector is overhead. That's not much of an issue when I control the picture with the PC. Also, the projector's fan makes a hissing noise sort of like an overhead air vent on a jetliner, but I don't notice it when concentrating. The fan noise doesn't interfere with playing music on my audio system while I work.

Compared to traditional art projectors (huge, hot, heavy things that produce dim images by reflection off a paper source) the AAXA P2 is a wonder.

After much research I settled down with this projector as it is the brightest pico project in the market as of now. I should say it does a good job and is as advertised. I bought this one for entertainment watching moves mainly and I am not disappointed with it

Here are some pros and cons

Pros:

1. Really a small wonder

2. Glows in dark and I would stress the word dark

3. I was able to produce a 12-feet diagonal screen really a big one with decent quality.

4. Has built in memory 1 GB

5. Comes with VGA cable, remote and tripod

6. Long lamp life

Cons:

1. Loud fan noise

2. Battery stays on just for 35 mins

3. Needs a PERFECT dark room for good quality image.

4. Images are bit darker hey its only 33 lumens what more can you expect

If you are not too picky about the quality, this projector is for you.

My first written review on amazon. I have benefitted so much from the amazon communities reviews that I felt compelled to return the favor. Just got this projector as a early Christmas present. Opened it immediately, hooked it up my standard DVD (component) player and wow. Let me give you a little background about me so you can rate my wow factor. I am a technophobe with little money. So i read and research things to the nth degree but rarely buy anything. I have been researching pico projectors for over 6 months. Our family doesn't watch much tv hence we have a 14" Toshiba non-hdtv as the family tv. I know shame on me but enough of the ridicule, lets move on. We have cable tv but only one show is watched if you know what I mean. With four girls all under 14, its all about the Disney channel. Now back to the P2. Hooked it up, turned off the lights and wow!. Not HDTV by anymeans but not bad compared to my 14" tube Toshiba. Next up was the Wii. Not much expected since its only component out, but 72" sure beats 14" and more wow.

Basically I had finally given in and decided to step up to a larger TV which are all prettmy much HDTV now. As a upgrade from the Toshiba I was researching Projectors, Plasmas and LCD's. I work for a company that makes both LCD's and Plasmas so it was toss-up for me. Didn't care for the glare of the plasma even though I liked the picture so it came down to a Projector or LCD. Missed all the Black friday sales but kept on researching. Found a couple of LCD's but just couldn't pull the trigger if you know what I mean. A little bird in my ear was telling me to wait. I just couldn't settle in my mind paying ~$500-700 for only a 32-40" picture. With pico technology growing I thought I'd wait a little longer. Researched the 3M, aiptek and all the other current pico's. All had little things that I didn't like in addition to poor or just fair picture quality. This fact was leading me back toward LCD's along with the fact that I couldn't justify having to replace $250-$300 bulbs every 2000 hours for regular projectors. Along comes the P2. Well actually the P1 which lead to the P2. I was intrigued by their size and 20,000 hour bulb life. More and more research (online and cr___igslist) and then to my suprise a gift arrives with the giver telling me to open it now to make sure it works correctly. That moment lead me to right now, writting this review. I can say without a doubt YOU WILL BE PLEASED WITH THIS PROJECTOR! It's worth it plain and simple. If you want HDTV then its not for you. If you want to be able to have the portabilty of this type of projector, 14" to 72"+ screen, multiple A/V hook-up options and be able to just about wow everyone that you show it to, then just buy it. This A2 is truly the best of not only both worlds, but multiple worlds. YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED.

Here's the dilemma: You're in a some kind of job that frequently subjects you to "death by Power Point". Yeah, I feel for you. Now for some reason, the office projector is (more often than not) out on the road or in the repair shop. Good news, right? So instead of getting a little extra nap time in the "bored" room, the boss decides he wants you to go through all the backlogged crap from 1970 to 2008 and make a detailed report that he will likely glance at for 15 seconds and then ask you why your other work is getting behind.

You'd have been better off listening to Captain Sominex deliver his presentation, but noooo... John from sales needed the projector for a conference 3 states over. Wouldn't it have been great if you could whip a projector out of your pocket so you could kick back and eat a donut while pretending to care what some windbag is mowing over? What about a POCKET PROJECTOR?!

Sounds great, but then the thing arrives and you realize you're about to unleash a new level of pain on top of something that everybody already hates.

The Aaxa P2 is currently the Cadillac of the picos. Seriously... You're not going to find a better one. Even the pocket laser projector is going to be hard pressed trying to match this puppy.

The P2 has a 33 lumen output. On the surface that really sucks, but other Picos are sadly maxed out at around 11 or 12 lumens. Still, a typical projector is going to have 1000 lumens on the low end. 33 lumens looks like a faint stain on the screen by comparison.

The P2 has a native resolution of 800x600. Still not great, but other picos are still using 640x480. On the bright side (bright?), it "simulates" higher resolutions, but the picture gets fuzzier the higher you go.

The P2 comes with a mini tripod for positioning. Sadly it's about as stable as David Hasselhoff at an open bar.

Battery life? About 45 minutes. You can plug it in, but it won't recharge the battery while the projector is in use.

Noise? Yes. The cooling fan makes more noise than you'd expect.

Built in speaker? A sad joke. The fan is louder than the speaker, so make other sound arrangements.

Image quality in a dark room? Fairly decent. Great for an impromptu movie night or gaming.

Ease of use? Getting it to turn on is a little janky. First turn on the power switch, then hold the button to turn on the lamp. Say a prayer, be sure the computer is sending output through the provided VGA cord, and check your connection if the blue screen persists.

Focus? Rather touchy. It's not easy getting it right on that sweet spot, and don't ever expect perfect focus using a resolution higher than 800x600.

The bottom line is this: The person in charge desperately wants to show their latest Power Point. Your new Aaxa P2 is going to be the only available device for the task. It's dreadfully underpowered for the job, a little clumsy to get set up, but it will save the day and afford you a nice little coffee break while the big guy draws circles on the wall with his daughter's cat exerciser in a vain effort to highlight the most relevant aspects of his washed out presentation.

It's a trolls gold.

Azend Group Envizen Digital Quartet 9 ED8890A 9-Inch LCD Portable Digital Television and DVD Player

Azend Group Envizen Digital Quartet 9 ED8890A 9-Inch LCD Portable Digital Television and DVD Player with 3-In-One Card Reader, Case and Car Seat Attachment
  • Swivel 9" hi-definition LCD, 800 x 480 resolution
  • Portable TV, DVD player, and multimedia player; 3-in-1(MS/SD/MMC) card reader capability
  • Built in ATSC digital tuner to receive digital TV channels; external antenna included for maximum signal reception
  • Portable and handheld; convenient for use on vacation, airplane, road trips; built-in rechargeable battery
  • Includes free car adapter, car head seat attachment, carrying case, a/v cables, remote control, external antenna, and AC adapter

When I started shopping around the portable TV, DVD, I found this product, it's cheaper than Brand name like Sony but comes with more features like Digital turner and usb port and SD card reader, and it's a 9" widescreen LCD which looks 50% larger than old 7".

It's a real good product. Plays long (2.5 hours). Color adjustings great. Love the little remote it came with. Has the car adapter, RF Antenna and Antenna adapter and carrying case mounts to the back of your car seat. It's cool in the car too. No hdmi though. Volume is good.

Also you can plug and play music or watch movies stored on your USB drive or SD card, which is pretty cool, while I'm waiting for my kid.

Overall, this is a good portable entertainment system, you can watch dvd, movies from USB or TV by using digtal antenna and you can connect to your big screen at home.

I got this for my wife to use in the kitchen, in place of our old 4" analog TV (with converter box). It hooks up to "amplified" rabbit ears (coax cable connection), and gets about 15 signals in our neighborhood (Akron, Ohio)same as the old TV. The small external antenna that comes with the TV doesn't do very well, however.

The only downside is the very poor (low volume) speakers. However, this was easily fixed by buying a $20 pair of small laptop speakers from Best Buy now it is loud enough for any room, even outdoors. Speaker cable plugs into the TV earphone jack.

Picture quality is good, and DVDs play well. I like the fact that it will also play photos from a USB thumb drive or SD card, too.

My wife loves it, now that we added the speakers. With standard speakers, it would not be as nice.

This product was just what I was looking for, convenient for anywhere and the price matches its quality. I used to try to read a book as I tanned before going out for a surf but I would just fall asleep, now I bring the 9 inch to watch movies and it's great. When I go on a long drive with heavy traffic, the kids can watch their shows/movies on the 9 inch and not get fussy. I travel a lot so when I get stuck in the airport because of delays, I pull the 9 inch LCD out. I love it (=

I found this great value in Amazon. It has all the features I wanted for half the price of other name-brand players. The quality and size of the picture is great, and I was able to download YouTube videos using a plug-in, convert them to MPEG-4, a view them with a memory stick.

I love the ability to turn the screen around, even 180 degrees, and then folding back. Funnily, some people thought that my daughter had her own iPad.

I found the quality a bit lacking, though. A couple rubber screw-covers came off shortly after buying, and the car electric converter doesn't seem to work anymore. However, we have found that we rarely need it, thanks to the 2.5 hours battery. In general, it doesn't give the feeling of a solid product.

The player stops playing DVD's if you push on the DVD door (you can avoid that by using the "iPad" folding I mentioned before), but it is resilient to movement. Be careful if you use SD memory of USB's, because they come off very easily, and kids can take them off by accident just by manipulating the viewer.

However, it has survived my toddler, and besides the minor issues, she has enjoyed it a lot. I love the TV feature, which allows its own antenna, or connecting to an external antenna. I didn't know digital air TV looked so good.

All in all, it's worth it, with the caveats I mentioned before.

When used with the intended device with all plugs plugged in this cable works correctly afaict. When used just for power it doesn't always provide power. When used as a USB cable it has failed to work with other devices. Finally when used to charge another device using the USB plugs it burned out all my work comupter's USB ports.

Use this product carefully and only for its intended purpose.

I bought this so that I could charge my N800 via USB. The cable is retractable, so its small size when retracted makes it ideal for carrying it.

The reason I write this review is, however, the wonderful customer support I received from BoxWave. I bought this device from Amazon and posted it to a friend in USA since I am in Turkey. She brought me the device, but I saw that the device was not charging sometimes.

I immediately wrote to BoxWave, asking for what could be the reason for this and if I could fix it. I didn't offer to send it back or that it be replaced, since I am in Turkey and didn't want to bother with shipping it back.

The reply was very kind, telling that they would replace the device, and since I was in Turkey, they didn't want me to post the defective unit back.

They sent me a brand new device, free of charge, with free shipping, from USA to Turkey! I am very pleased by this attitude of this company, BoxWave.

(I also own a screen protector and a case made by BoxWave, and I recommend them too, especially the screen protector. I have never used my N800 without a screen protector, but I have read that it was not readable under sunlight.I can read mine everywhere thanks to the screen protector.)

The power connector was flakey when I received it. I have to wiggle it to get it to connect and then tape it to the desk so that it doesn't move else it quits providing power. Haven't contacted Boxwave for a replacement yet. Hope it's just a fluke.

Small Aluminum Hard Case Carrying Handle

Small Aluminum Hard Case Carrying Handle
  • Hi-Vis yellow interior allows user to see equipment much easier than a standard black or gray interior.
  • Features customizable "pick and pluck" foam.
  • Ideal for camera equipment and other valuable items.
  • Keyed lock with 2 keys.
  • Non-marring feet for extra stability.

This is a decent quality case but the latch is cumbersome and requires you to fumble with the handle to flip the latch. for that reason I gave it 3 stars.

I.R.I.S. IRIScan Book 2 Portable Scanner

I.R.I.S. IRIScan Book 2 Portable Scanner
  • Scans without the need for a computer
  • Ideal to scan books, magazines & newspapers
  • Directly saves JPEG files to the included 2GB MicroSD card
  • Color/black & white scan selection
  • 600/300 dpi scanning resolutions

The directions for use are easy to follow. It is compact and portable. The accompanying software works easily with Microsoft Word. Battery life not so good. And while it scanned matte pages with ease, it ignored paper with any kind of shine, such as a photo or magazine type document. Also iffy with receipts from today's digital cash registers. Not the go anywhere, scan anything wonder I might have expected from the brochure.

Buy I.R.I.S. IRIScan Book 2 Portable Scanner Now

I just purchased the IRIScan book 2 executive(I ordered it from the company directly). I would not recommend this product. It was delivered to me on Monday, and I set it up. The executive is the product with Bluetooth and a rechargeable battery. However here is the response I just received back from Technical Support after I emailed them about my experience with the rechargeable battery. See below for the sequence of exchanges.

My email to technical support:

We are having a problem with our "brand" new IRIScan Book Executive. We have fully charged the battery twice now. Here is what we are experiencing. Yesterday we fully charged the battery--waited for the light to go out. Scanned three pages and turned it off. Today when I turned it on the battery was dead and has to be recharged. Each day we have had it--we have had to charge the battery again.

The reason we bought the executive was because of the rechargeable battery. We thought this would be much better that having to replace batteries--but if it has to be constantly recharged it is not going to serve our purpose. Shouldn't the battery hold a charge?? What is going on?? I believe we will have to return the product if this is not corrected.

-----------------------------------

Their response to me:

Apologies for the inconvenience, I have encountered this and contacted our developers and was advised that the battery is designed in a way to discharge the potential energy in order to endure more recharge cycles. If you do not use the Bluetooth feature and do not mind an exchange, we can do an exchange of the IRISCan Book Executive for the standard battery operated one. If you need further assistance regarding this issue, please contact us.

---------------------------------

Basically they are saying they have given me a product that requires three hours to charge every day I want to scan something. I was expecting a rechargeable battery that works like every other rechargeable product I own. I cannot believe they actually expect to have satisfied customers with this product.

I felt compelled to inform anyone considering acquiring this product that "rechargeable" means every day.

10/31/2011

The company has responded to my inquiries about the issue. They suggested I charge the device with a direct connect to outlet with iPhone or Kindle connection. I did this but still experienced fast drain of the battery; however, it did last overnight one time. Now they are suggesting that it is the SD card in the scanner that is causing the drain. The suggestion has been made to remove the SD card, and this action will stop the severe drain on the battery. I have not be able to test this yet but will do so. I'm not sure how I'm going to keep track of the SD card when it is not in the scanner.

Bought this scanner to use on books, it was a disaster..!!

The edges are blurred, the quality of the scan is very poor.

Used it on color photographs, also a disaster..colors were far from true.

Save your money.

Bought this from Best Buy and I had no problem returning it for a refund.

Install was easy, but seemed to repeat itself, but without damage to previous information entered.

Test copy worked well. Beware, the "green" light referenced in the booklet is very pale, and if a desk lamp is on, may not be visible. I turned off my desk lamp and it became easily seen.

Had to find some supplementary software to make use of the images, but overall, I couldn't be happier from a hardware aspect.

I bought this charger to charge my iPhone from my car's cigarette lighter.

I'm not satisified with this product.

1. The charger produces static on my FM radio when the phone is plugged it.

2. The charger charges my iPhone very slowly. (Its hardly rapid.)

3. The charger's iPhone plug adapter is a separate part from the charger. (The charger is 'universal'.) The adapter needs to be fiddled with to make a good connection between the charger's phone-side cable and the iPhone. (I suspect this adapter connection is the source of the static.)

In summary, the charger is of lower quality and construction then the iPhone. It is however usable.

I purchased this on Amazon for a recently purchased an amplified antenna system for my home. This was exactly the same part and was cheaper through Amazon than at company where system was purchased. Delivery was fast; actually received it a few days before getting the system. ;)

I have installed a complete Cellphone mate booster system so I can get Verizon 4G at home. Works great. After going to all the effort it took routing, trenching 60 ft, (to get distance between the outdoor and indoor antenna I mounted on my shop) and mounting everything I decided I better spend the few bucks and make sure a lightning strike does not wipe every thing out.

So I order this over priced protector and guess what it is N female to N female. The write up says its N male to N female. I did look at the picture which shows its female both ends but you know how the picture does not always match what you get as manufactures change there product.

Anyway now I am waiting for a $5 male connector to protect my $800 system. Yes I am a little hacked as they can not even throw in the connector you are going to need to make this part work.

GMYLE Red Aluminum Touch Conductive Fiber Stylus Touch Pen increase accuracy For Apple iPod touch iPad samssung galaxy Tablet all touch screen devices
  • Conductive fiber material
  • Super Sensitive conductive fiber cloth enables smooth touch
  • Shift your work from paper to tablet easily and conveniently
  • New generic universal touch screen stylus
  • Compatible with iPAD/iphone/iPod Galaxy Tab Touch Tablet

It works beautiful even though it is pretty bulky in my smaller hands. However, it has no clip or any other way to secure it to my iPad tab and it was lost within a week of receiving it. The price was right but the shipping was more than 4 times the cost of the actual pen so. . . I'll probably shop locally and get a cheaper stylus to replace it. :(

Buy GMYLE (TM) Red Aluminum Touch Conductive Fiber Stylus Touch Pen increase accuracy For Apple iPod tou Now

I use a stylus a lot with my iPad and sadly I have been disappointed by most brands and styles. All the rubber-tipped ones wear out too quickly. Hard plastic tips (like Jot) are good for fine-drawing but not for extended periods of reading or teaching as I use mine. Of all the stylii I've tried, the mesh-tipped ones are the best, smooth gliding and hard wearing. Unfortunately, most of those are very lightweight and I prefer a little more mass. Well, finally I have found a great combination... the weight of a solid aluminum stick but without the silly rubber tips that don't last. I love this stylus and it's one of the least expensive I have seen. A week of constant use and I am 95% happy. Only thing I would like is a wider tip as this one is a little fine and I have to press harder than with wider mesh tips I've used before. If I could get a second of these but with a fatter tip I'd be set. Overall however, this stylus is very highly recommended.

JAVOedge Poppy Flip Style Case for Barnes & Noble Nook Color / Nook Tablet (Sunny Yellow) - Latest G

JAVOedge Poppy Flip Style Case for Barnes & Noble Nook Color / Nook Tablet - Latest Generation
  • Coated canvas cover maintains cover
  • Fits the Nook Color or Nook Tablet

I have ordered a nook color case from Barnes and Noble and was extremely disappointed. I returned it and purchased this one instead and couldn't be more happier. It is waterproof and the nook color fits perfectly. I love that the case flips open instead of opening like a book. It is easier to use when reading in bed. No need to remove it ever from the case. Stand works perfectly and even when held upside down the nook will not fall out. Magnetic closure works great. Perfect product!

I purchased this case for my wife to put on her nook as a christmas gift. She is very happy with it. The outer material feels like a nylon based material that would repel spills and water. There are speaker holes in the back, you just have to make sure the kick stand is open if you want to hear your audio. The only thing I wish it had was an extra kick stand to set it on horizontally. It will not stand on its own when you set it sideways, but I knew that when I bought it. Good quality product though. Would not hesitate to buy.

Love the pattern. Fits perfectly. Cover is water resistant. You can't access the SD card when the nook is in the case and the cover does muffle the sound slightly, but other than that it's a great buy. Better than the options in Barnes and Noble.

I am really happy with this case. My NookColor fits in snugly and seems to be well protected. I love the pattern and colors. The material is really easy to keep clean. My only suggestion would be that there was a magnet to hold the cover open. I would recommend this product to anyone :)

Presenter To Go Secure Digital Card for Use In Palm Pdas
  • Full color, high resolution (1024 x 768) output

Allows you to hook your Palm directly to a VGA projector to make presentations right out of your pocket. Full resolution, with full resolution photos and graphics.

You do lose sound/animations (But really, these are bells and whistles you can do without.)

If you are a handheld user and do speeches, you need this.

This is truly an amazing product. Although it required a software patch to work with my monitor, it was very easy. You can see you powerpoint presentation on your palm, edit it, and if you draw on it while giving your presentation, it draws on the projected image (much better than a laser pointer). It even comes with a remote control in case you have to stand a distance from the projector/palm combo.

Therein lies my chief complaint. With the addition of bluetooth to palm and sony models, there should be a blue tooth version so you can hold your palm, see the presentation on your screen and mark it as mentioned while at a comfortable distance from the projector. Add bluetooth and this product gets 5 stars.

I usually download a product manual before buying a product.

Margi claims in the Users's Guide that the desktop software works on OSX 10.1 "and greater" (the release notes in the driver say "10.2 and greater"). But it does not work on OSX 10.3 the software either crashes or renders incorrectly. Every time I ask tech support when 10.3 drivers are coming out, they say "check the web site in a few weeks."

Hello Margi OSX 10.3 has been out for almost 6 months now how hard can it be to release an update?

My rating will likely be a lot higher once they REALLY support Macs.

Want Presenter To Go Secure Digital Card for Use In Palm Pdas Discount?

I have a Palm Zire 71. The connector to the palm seems like very hard to stay on. I have not tried on a real projector yet but I can't get it to display on my monitor.

Keep in mind that the way this works is that it convert your powerpoint files into little images. You transfer it to your palm and then display it. So you won't see powerpoint animations. So even if it works it will only give you limited ability. (What do you expect from a little Palm?)

AC Power Adapter For Dell Axim X5, X50 & X51 Series Pocket PCs

AC Power Adapter For Dell Axim X5, X50 & X51 Series Pocket PCs
  • Brand(OEM): Dell
  • Model: T2411
  • Manufacturer: Premium Power

After trying two third party chargers to charge my Dell Axim X5 PDA, I returned them to buy this one. This one works perfectly. The others did not fit the power socket very well, and would start charging for 30 seconds, then stop. Even when I left it plugged in overnight, they still would not charge the PDA. This one will charge the large battery that I have in about 3 hours, and the smaller battery in two hours. It seems to be faster than other chargers that I own for other products.
