Handspring Visor Prism

Handspring Visor Prism
  • Sharp full-color screen displays over 65,000 colors
  • RAM of 8 MB stores thousands of addresses, appointments, to-do items, and more
  • Features address book, to-do list, memo pad, date book, advanced calculator, and world clock
  • Fully compatible with thousands of Palm OS applications
  • Visor Prism, Cobalt Blue HotSync cradle, 8 MB RAM, Internal rechargeable lithium ion battery

Since this is my 1st PalmOS PDA I don't have as much experience as some other reviewers. However I do know what I do & do Not like. My list of Pros & Cons for this fine PDA:

Pros specific to this device:

1. Ability to display 65,000 different colors.

2. You can create notes/ business cards w/ color.

3. You can read and work faster. One thing I've found that's quicker than reading, to ID something, is color. If I label an item in a To-Do list in red for instance, I know w/o reading that its a hot item to do ASAP. This helps one prioritize items. It just makes sense.

4. CPU speed. This units fast. Although the color display DOES make the unit slightly slower than a Visor Pro/Platinum.

5. Color games beat B/W games when in waiting rooms. ;-)

6. Display easier to read indoors than a Palm m505. (Isn't this where 90% of its use will occur anyway?)

Cons specific to this unit:

1. Battery life. Handspring advertises up to 2 wk. between charges. Yea right! Maybe if you only use it for

Fellowes Type N Go Keyboard and Bumper Case for Handspring

Fellowes Type N Go Keyboard and Bumper Case for Handspring
  • Keyboard alternative for handheld PDAs
  • Also a protective case
  • Easy connection with built-in dock
  • Does not require a flat surface to type
  • Supports Handspring Visor Neo, Pro, Deluxe, and Platinum (not compatible with Visor Edge or Prism)

This is a great product but it has one flaw. The dock does not have enough tension on it so sometimes when you turn on the Visor it will freeze. The lock is not keeping it locked into place. This is my second one with the same problem. The solution is two pieces of double edge tape in the top. This provides enough tension. I have had no problems since installing the "fix".

Buy Fellowes Type N Go Keyboard and Bumper Case for Handspring Now

When I was planning the purchase of a keyboard for my Visor Deluxe, I considered the larger portable keyboards, but they were too big even when folded (like carrying 2 PDAs), needed to be connected every time you wanted to type, and require a flat surface for use.

This item addresses these problems nicely. Because it serves as a PDA case and a keyboard, the total size is nearly the same as a paperback, which I know may be too big for some, but perfectly manageable. The case itself is pretty tough, and the keyboard is always connected to the PDA (and easily disconnects for Hotsyncing or going light) so it's always available, like when that quick note turns into a magnum opus. And although this item works best on a flat surface, you can definitely use it while holding it in your hands. An additional feature is that the case is partially covered in a nonskid surface so that when the case is open it won't slide, like off an airplane tray table.

As might be expected, you have to accept some inherent design compromises, which to me were acceptable. First, the keyboard which resembles a Blackberry is not as well situated as a Blackberry, since it is on the side opposite the PDA when the clamshell case is open. This makes for awkward typing. Another problem, reported by another reviewer (THANKS!), is that the PDA can be a little loose in the plug, but a few discrete layers of double-sided tape increased the tension so that this problem is eliminated.

For me these shortcomings are acceptable compared to those of the large keyboards. Very handy PDA accessory!

I bought one today, I just had to try this out. I own the Targus folding keyboard. But w/ that keyboard, you are limited to where you can use it, but I do like the Targus keyboard.

After loading the software & having a chance to try it out (Type N Go), I am not sure if I like the Type N Go. The other reviewers are right about this product. It will not work w/ your Handspring, if the connection w/ the Type N Go is not good. So adding some tape or velcro to the top will add tension. And the lock does have a tenedency to become unlock. So be aware of this flaw. Using the keyboard is awkward. I guess it will take some time to get used to. I just have to learn how all the different keys/functions work. I know it took a little time to get used to the Targus keyboard. The buttons are on the small side, but I can easily type faster than using the graffiti writing. You can pretty much do all the functions on the Type N Go. BUT, you still have to use a stylus on some functions. Do not be misled that the stylus is used minimal. But something that has not been mentioned from other reviewers is, the Type N Go has its own stylus, that is built in on back of the case. This is a nice feature, that you do not have to unlock the Handspring to use that stylus. It's just a plain stylus w/ no ball point pen. But it is accessible if you need to use a stylus for some functions.

The case is a bit bulky. But not as bulky as when I had a Targus case to carry the Handspring & the Targus keyboard. What's nice about the Type N Go case is, it will protect your Handspring & you can do most functions using the keyboard. With the Targus keyboard, I had to hook up the Handspring to it. For those who own the Targus keyboard, you know how difficult it can be to dock your Handspring to it. It can be quite frustrating at times. Also, there is a backlight button on the Type N Go. You can toggle the backlight to be on or off, not like the backlight on the Handspring, which will turn off your unit, then you have to it turn back on.

With the Type N Go, after I get used to it, I may not have to use the graffiti anymore. I just need to get used to holding it, see what feels comfortable. After a few minutes of holding the case, you're hand gets a bit tired. The case & the Handspring weighs some, & you will feel the weight after some time using. I've tried putting it down flat on the table. Works great, but the glare from the light affects the screen. So tilting it helps.

This product is a good idea, but something that would improve on the design would be to somehow lock the case open flat. Or to have it locked slightly folded, so you can have a better hold in your hand. If Fellowes reads this, and they can improve w/ this suggestion, I think they'll sell a ton of the Type N Go.

So this product is good, it just needs a refinement for better holding. One last note, I'm right handed, so using the Type N Go feels okay. I'm not sure left handed users will be comfortable using this, I don't know, just a thought.....

Want Fellowes Type N Go Keyboard and Bumper Case for Handspring Discount?

One wonders if anyone at Fellowes tested this out before manufacture.

The bad

Dock Lock: The first unit I received had such a flimsy lock that the keyboard would not stay docked with my Visor Neo. I tried tape, but it was only partly effective and makes removing the PDA for Hotsync difficult. And for the price, one shouldn't have to hold the thing together with tape! On advice of Fellowes customer service, I exchanged the keyboard/case for another. The tiny lock is much better but still prone to disengage occasionally, so I must ensure it's still latched before I turn on the PDA. Customer service is also sending me a shim kit that is supposed to help the Neo fit more snugly.

Stylus: The stylus (still needed at times) is cheap plastic with a poor feel, but the PDA's much nicer one is inaccessible in this case. The stylus conveniently stores in the back of the case, but this prevents the case from lying completely flat, so typing is sometimes a little bouncy.

Keyboard: At the most, two fingers can be comfortably used for typing. Since the left side of the case is thicker than the right which contains the keyboard, using the left hand is more difficult because it bumps against the side of the case. I have yet to find a use for some of the buttons.

The good -

Sturdy case.

Quicker, more error-free character entry that with Graffiti (at least for me).

Useful enough to be a keeper despite its flaws, but I'll keep an eye out for the next generation.

Texas Instruments 94327 Ti Graphlink USB

Texas Instruments 94327 Ti Graphlink USB
  • Enables software downloads and updates from the internet
  • Lets you store programs and data on your computer
  • Includes TI Connect Software CD and TI Connectivity Cable
  • Compatible with TI-73 Explorer, TI-83, TI-89, TI-92, and Voyage 200

Because it is USB, it does not work eith TI-Graphlink software. Don't get me wrong the Graphlink software isn't great, but it is much more powerful than TI Connect. Plus you can use both TI Connect and TI-Graphlink software with the serial cables. The graph link software is rather clunky, but much more reliable than ti connect.

Buy Texas Instruments 94327 Ti Graphlink USB Now

I saw the previous post regarding a customer who stated he had no problem using this cable with his TI-86. I was hesitant because he didn't state which operating system he was using. I can now confirm that this cable will work with Windows XP. Make sure to use the TI-Connect software and NOT the TI-Graphlink software! VERY IMPORTANT as only the TI-Connect software supports the TI-86 via the USB connection option. Make sure to download the latest version from the Texas Instruments (TI) website. As of 29 January 2007, the latest TI-Connect software version is 1.6. And you must have the Microsoft .NET Framework Windows Updates installed prior to installing the TI-Connect software. Last, but not least make sure you have the calculator turned on before connecting the USB cable to your computer!

It took Texas Instruments long enough to add support for the TI-86 to its TI-Connect software! I guess I can't complain as they did finally listen to their customer's complaints. Goodluck with whatever math course you have waiting ahead of you!

This is a good product, but the info on the page is wrong. It supports most TI Calculators for Mac but only,83,89, and 92 for windows based pc. I have a TI-86 and it will not work on my pc.

For TI-86 and 82 you need to order the serial cable instead of the usb.

Want Texas Instruments 94327 Ti Graphlink USB Discount?

The TI-89 is a great calculator but doesn't have some probability distribution software built in. This includes the binompdf and poissonpdf functions that are readily available on a stock TI-83+. (This applies to the original, black TI-89; not sure if the TI-89 Titanium has these installed standard or not)

Serial ports are nonexistant on Macs so you need this if you have one. Some people who wrote early reviews noted that the software didn't completely work with the calculators. With the TI-84 and other new calculators released last year an update of the graph link software was obviously needed, and I am willing to bet my old Mac Plus that it was tweaked to work smoother.

To my knowledge this supports every TI graphing calculator. This cable has come down significantly in price over the past four years and is worth buying over the serial one now.

They say it won't work with the TI-86, but it worked fine for me. Was able to access and download/upload files to my calculator no problemo.

VisionTek 650 Watts Internal PC Power Supply - Silver Chassis (900347)

VisionTek 650 Watts Internal PC Power Supply - Silver Chassis
  • ATX12V
  • 135mm Cooling Fan
  • UL,TUV,CB,CE,FCC,RoHs
  • Protections: OCP,OVP,SCP,UVP,ULP
  • 2 year limited

This power supply is far more than I need, but at the sale price it didn't make any sense to buy a lesser PS. Even at the full price it would be well worth it.

All wires are wrapped and are of a much heavier gauge than any of my previous power supplies.

I can only find 2 problems. The first is that it's so quiet that everything else seems suddenly louder. The old PS was loud in comparison.

The other possible problem would only apply to those with a small computer case. As I said, these wires are thicker than most power supplies. Add to that the fact that they are quiet long with a lot of connectors and you might run out of room in a small case. I used electrical tape to bundle the unused wires and shove them out of the way.

PROs Very quiet, long heavy gage wrapped wires, lots of connectors, lots of power for future upgrades.

CONs None really unless you have a small case.

Note My motherboard has a 4 pin CPU connector on the board. This power supply has what it describes as a "CPU 4Pin+4pin" connector (it looks like an 8 pin connector). Looking carefully you can see that it will slide apart to become 2 four pin connectors. Elsewhere I saw someone complaining about another PS that was missing the 4 pin connector. They probably had the same setup and didn't notice it.

Buy VisionTek 650 Watts Internal PC Power Supply - Silver Chassis (900347) Now

This power supply works perfectly and is almost silent! The only problem i have with it is that on the 650 watt version they did not wrap the wires and it just looks like an eye sore in my case.

The cables are very thick and this is a very good thing, You don't want cheap thin cables that can't output the wattage that the power supply has or they could get hot and possibly cause damage. The only reason i gave this PSU a 4 star rating is because all the wires were not wrapped, The only one that is wrapped is the 24 pin motherboard connector. Other then the wire wrapping there is nothing wrong with this PSU and i would recommend it to any one.

My setup.

AMD Phenom ii x6 1055T

8gb's ddr3 1333 memory.

PNY Geforce GTX 550TI.

Western digital scorpio black hdd.

VisionTek 900347 650 watt PSU.

Cooler Master RR-910-HTX3-G1 130-Watt 92mm Hyper TX3 CPU Cooler.

And a bunch of fans throughout the case.

All this is being powered by this Power supply and is having no trouble doing it!

I've had this PSU for 7 months and it's great

The only downside is that it's not modular and there are a *ton* of cables. I got this at a cheap price around xmas, but I wish that I would have spent the extra $20 and get myself a modular instead.

If you don't care about having tons of cables, this is the psu for you; No issues, and it has survived many thunderstorms and power outages

So far after 1 week this product is doing everything a 650w should!! It has tons of connections for graphics cards, sata, 4 pins. The only complaint I have is the fan noise while running some games on ultra graphics. I understand it needs a little more wattage to push the games, but the fan is a little loud. Other than that it is a great Power Supply. After upgrading my RAM, Graphics Card, and putting an Arctic cooler on, I needed a better PSU. After the first 500w Hercules failed, I ordered a 600w Diablotek which lasted all of 2 days before the PCI ports to the graphics card went bad, so far this 650w visiontek is working great!!

This power supply has been very good to me. It hasn't pooped out at all, and there have been no power surges (at least I haven't noticed any). There was a bit of trouble installing it, and a few of the cables broke (these were because of user error), but because It had so many spares we were able to manage. Overall I would highly recommend this power supply.

Motorola Car Mount and Rapid Car Charger for Motorola DROID 2/DROID 2 Global - Retail Packaging

Motorola Car Mount and Rapid Car Charger for Motorola DROID 2/DROID 2 Global - Retail Packaginggreat product. a must have if you have a droid 2. had a little problem getting a case that would work with it but got it resolved by buying an authentic motorolla case from verizon ( 25 dollars ). very convenient, charging cord plugs into cradle so you don't have to mess with wires and plugging things in. just drop the phone in and go. the navigation is great. my only gripe was that the package had been opened and even though everything was in bags, half of my cradle's suction cup latch looks like it had been broken off. it still locks fine but i'm not sure if this was a new product or something that had been returned. it was sold as new.

This car mount and rapid car charger works great -but -it doesn't work when you have a protective case for your droid. I purchased both this and a protective case at the same time and got the car mount first -phone fit great and it also comes with a adapter that you remove if you get a hard case -however, the hard case has to be a "motorola approved" protective case. That really limits your ability to use this car mount. I ordered a Seido case, which I have used before and highly recommend it. But -understanding which hard/protective case might fit with this car mount is more work than its worth. So, I returned it and am hoping to get another car mount -based on a user's review (that I didn't read before I purchased this car mount) says the AKRON is a good mount that fits all phones. The odd thing to add is that the Motorola docking station -works great -and also has an adapter to use if you are not using a hard case -and this Mortoroal docking station can be used with my Seido case. Go figure??

I used this mount for the first time today and had 2 major issues with it. First, my phone did not charge while it was docked. Second, it caused my phone to overheat. An alarm went off on the phone warning me that it was overheated. I unhooked it from the dock and after about 15 minutes, another message appeared stated that it was now back to regular temperature.

I am returning the mount (Amazon has great customer service); however, I'm suprised that this problem hasn't been reported in other reviews. Maybe mine was just faulty and most of them are fine, but I'm afraid to take a chance of just exchanging it for another one and possibly damaging my phone. I wish it would have worked.

I didn't purchase this navigation mount from Amazon.

I bought it from Verizon Store at the time of DROID 2 purchase (Extra discount on phone accessories that makes most of the genuine accessories much cheaper than anywhere else).

Anyhow, it is good to know that Motorola seem to redesigned their navigation mount this time around for DROID 2. Now, you can have your phone stably place on your navigation mount while keeping the case on!

I'm not sure if all the DROID 2 navigation dock comes in a package in a way that the "insert" is already tightly inserted onto its main dock. Well, mine did... and I hated it. I wished if I could have the navigation mount that is usable while keeping the case on.

It took me a while to figure this out...

I actually spent a good one month or so without knowing it and did take the case off every time I'm in my car. Yeah...It was a huge drag... (I still loved it's stability though)

Because of the hassle, I came to very close to just abandoning it and getting an universal navigation mount that would fit my DROID 2 while keeping its case on. And then I found out that Motorola DROID 2 A955 Multimedia Docking Station can be used while I keep the case on after removing the insert (please read my review for the product IF interested)...

And I thought, "Hmmm... so if things worked out with the multimedia docking station, shouldn't it work with the navigation mount too??"

So I tried to see if I could remove the insert from the main dock.

It didn't come off easily. This is because the gap between the main dock and the insert is practically none and I didn't want to damage the dock body. It was necessary to detach the main dock from the arm before I proceed to the next step.

I used two different kind of flat-head screwdrivers (i.e., one small, one medium) in order to separate the two. I first used the small flat-head to make a small gap between the insert and the dock. And then I inserted the bigger flat-head between the gap and pushed the insert further apart from the main dock). IT PROBABLY THE BEST IF YOU WORK ON THE BACK SIDE OF THE MOUNT SINCE THE SCRATCHES WON'T BE SO VISIBLE EVEN IF YOU ACCIDENTALLY DAMAGE THE BODY.

It took several attempts before they came apart.

It is a good thing that Motorola built the mount so steadily, but it takes a gentle, yet firm force to separate the two.

Pros:

Compatibility (Fits DROID 2 with or without a case)

Durability (This navigation mount does not shake or move once it's placed right).

I use suction cup to mount against the front glass and from the day one (it's been about a month),

it never came off. It's still attached to the glass as strong as the day one.

Stability (This navigation mount is built very solid and won't come off nor shake the phone).

You can adjust the angle in anyway you want.

There is a charging output on the back of the mount. So you can just put the phone in its place and it starts charging as long as you keep the phone on the mount, which is crucial as battery drains while using Google Map Navigation.

Cons:

It took a while to figure out how to set it up right (Had to use two screwdrivers...)

Package doesn't include car charger

Aux cable is no use if your vehicle doesn't have it's input or is not equipped with bluetooth system (just like my old car. I only have a cassette tape player and I would need to get something like this:Xm Auto Cassette Adapter in order to get a better sound.

This product looks to be very well built.

I was able to get the inner sleeve out easier than most had described, this piece of plastic needs to be taken out in order to put a phone with a case into the cradle. I held the unit upside down and put my fingernails into the crack near the power connector. Then just push the inner piece down, it should slide off of the main unit.

I like how the phone knows when it is in the cradle and brings up an easier to navigate while driving menu.

Pros

-Mountable anywhere

-Well built

Cons

-Quick charger shouldn't have been "strechy", that way I could have routed cord around my steering wheel

-Does not work with my phone's Seidio SURFACE Case, even wiht the spacer piece out

PDair Leather Case for HTC Desire Z/T-mobile G2 - Book Type (Black)

PDair Leather Case for HTC Desire Z/T-mobile G2 - Book TypeIt took 30 days and the registered parcel had a Hong Kong address, not a real issue, just wasn't ready for that when I ordered it. But it was delivered in the time frame as promised. The case smells like real leather and looks really nice. Stitching seems to be well done, but hard to tell after a few days, but so far so good. All of the ports line up and the only drawback is in order to have the power / micro usb plugged in the case must be open. There are no holes for the usb port when the case is closed. Not usually a big deal, but would have liked to have it charge with the case closed. There is an opening for the usb port when the case is open, it's just not accessible when it's closed.

It's hard to tell from the picture, but the keyboard fits into a plastic sleeve that holds the phone to the bottom part of the case. It a plastic film over your keyboard when you type. It's protective, functional and doesn't interfere with typing. The snap is metal and slightly magnetic and also snaps in place.

There are no pictures of the back, but I was hoping for a belt loop or small belt clip instead of the regular black plastic clip. I have used body glove cases forever, but the g2 hinge isn't as tight as the g1 and opens if it's at the wrong angle especially clipped on a belt walking around and unless the screen is locked with a pin or pattern, the phone unlocks when the keyboard opens and all sorts of strange things can occur on their own. So I wanted a full case that closed and kept everything inside.

If you use the included clip it comes with a piece that is screwed into the back, then if worn on the belt, it sticks out further than I would like. I'm trying to get away from the phone on the belt clip geek look. If it's going to be on my belt I want it close to the body, horizontal and not able to rotate freely. This clip isn't it. This case is better without the clip and should be used in a jacket or coat pocket.

It's not really what I had in mind, but those are my personal requirements and I felt the only way to tell for sure was to see it for real. I still gave it 4 stars because of the case itself. It looks good, appears to be sturdy and good quality and keeps everything closed. Just don't use the clip and don't be in a hurry to receive it.

I waited for some 20 days for delivery which is in accordance to the announcement.

I got exactly what I expected and there is no deviance from the description on the web site.

The product is of an excellent quality, the leather is smooth and uniform all over its area.

The stitches are neat and strong.

Dimensions are perfect for HTC Desire Z phoneit fits perfectly and there is no danger the phone falls out.

Belt clip is something I do not use, as I do not like the phone hanging like a cowboy colt.

However, it is obvious that the clip provided with this leather case is very strong and qualitative.

The packing is very nice, everything is put into a strong box, with a color manual which explains in four images how to fit the phone into the case.

As a drawback I would mention that the case must be opened if you want to charge your phone. Did the producer forget about the hole for the charger, or they deliberately did not make oneI do not know. But it does not bother me, as I usually charge the phone during the night.

In conclusion, I recommend this casing to all who use HTC Desire Z phone.

KaysCase Two Piece Detachable Multiple Angle Cover Case for Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7" inch Tablet, Do

KaysCase Two Piece Detachable Multiple Angle Cover Case for Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7' inch Tablet, Dolby Audio, Dual-Band Wi-Fi, 16 GB, Auto Sleep Wake
  • Dual-View Multi Angle Leather Cover for Kindle Fire HD Tablet
  • High quality PU leather exterior and Micro Fiber Interior.
  • 3 Grooves for Multi-Angle Viewing . Access to All Ports and Controls.
  • Detachable Inner Sleeve for Handheld Operation; Sleeve Reattaches to Folio by snap fastener for Landscape or Portrait viewing.
  • Designed and made specifically for the 2012 version of Kindle Fire HD tablet by Amazon.

I read many reviews and examined the features of most of the cases for my new Kindle Fire HD and this one, with the price, looked like a no brainer to try out. I was pleasantly excited to try it out and now it is my primary case. This can be a folded reader for morning email and news, close it up and the auto shut off is excellent for charging without taking it out of the case. At night, just detach the sleeve and you can read a book easily. This is also a rugged case that encloses the device, not just the corners. The look for me in black is very professional.

I have been looking for quite some time for a decent case for my new Kindle. I read so many reviews, compared so many cases and narrowed it down to three. I would go back and forth comparing. I wanted two things in particular, a detachable case and one that folds back cover to cover. It's very easy to detach using the velcro. You can charge your device with the case closed, it has three positions to view horizontally. The color is just as shown in picture. I like the magnetic close and the auto on and off when case is opened or closed.

it does seem a little too bulky but if I separate the detachable piece it perfect. best thing is once detached the smaller piece has a strap, which is perfect for me to hold while travelling on public transportation.

The quality of this case is much much nicer then it looks. Very handsome looking, flexible and sturdy. Much better than I expected for the price. I bought the green which is really nice.

rooCASE Neoprene Netbook Sleeve Case Cover for Lenovo 10.1-Inch Ideapad S10-3t 0651-85U Netbook Tabl

rooCASE Neoprene Netbook Sleeve Case Cover for Lenovo 10.1-Inch Ideapad S10-3t 0651-85U Netbook TabletIt's cheap and great~ and it fits my 10.1' netbook well. the color is fantastic as well. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I hate the review system which needs 20+ words.

The best feature of this is the extra zippered pocket for accessories. The material and zippers all have a pleasant and sturdy feel. It's a bit roomier than what you would need for an ultra slim tablet, which can be a good thing if you want to slip in some extra stuff like papers, brochures, business cards, etc. Or it'll be comfortably snug for a tablet with an attached keyboard or a small netbook.

Bought this for my 9" android tablet. It fits perfect in the front pocket. Its really just a case. Doesnt make it any easier to carry the object around.

I got this for my Kindle Keyboard so it would have extra protection in it's sleeve and so that i could put the charger in with it. I wanted one case for all the accessories so I could take just one case with me on a day trip. It works perfectly and I love the bigger zipper pulls. I have arthritis in my hands and it's easier for me to use the zipper on this case. Its well made and the color is beautiful!!

I bought this case as an alternative to the folio for my Asus tf300. But mostly just to protect and store the detachable keyboard dock when not in use. Fits perfectly, however after just the first or second use the corner seam of the protective flap on the inside is already coming apart.

Blue Silicone Skin Cover + LCD Screen Protector + Fishbone Style Keychain For Barnes & Noble NOOK CO

Blue Silicone Skin Cover + LCD Screen Protector + Fishbone Style Keychain For Barnes & Noble NOOK COLOR eBook Reader
  • Protect your Barnes & Noble NOOK COLOR eBook Reader with the Silicone Skin Cover
  • Soft and flexible design for a soft feel and easy slip on and off function

I've had this cover for a year and have loved it. My Nook Tablet goes everywhere with me. I noticed a month ago that the coating on the front frame was wrinkled. My only guess is that the silicone made the frame hot and then any rubbing made it wrinkle up. It was pretty hot in Ohio last summer :) It hasn't hurt the functionality of the Nook but thought people should know. I am now looking for a 'hard' cover.

rooCASE Neoprene Sleeve Case Cover for Lenovo Thinkpad X220I 12.5-Inch Laptop - Dual Pocket Black

rooCASE Neoprene Sleeve Case Cover for Lenovo Thinkpad X220I 12.5-Inch Laptop - Dual Pocket Black

  • Water Resistant Neoprene Sleeve Case. (Laptop NOT Included)

  • Accessory Pocket for AC Adapter Charger, Mouse and e-Book.

I wanted a case for a new 11.6-Inch Acer Inspire that I carry around with me. I could not find exactly what I was looking for [no handles, extra pocket for accessories] in the 11.6-Inch sizes, so I went with this one. It is attractive, looks much like its pictures, accommodates the laptop with room to spare but not so much that it is swimming in there, and seems to offer adequate protection for my purposes. It is a soft case and has some padding, but would not do much to protect the machine if it were dropped, which is what I expected. The case smelled powerfully of noxious chemicals when it arrived. The smell is dissipating over time but was so bad the first couple of days I did not use it because it would have been going into closed spaces shared by other people. The only other issue, and I think I'd have this with any similar case, is that using the external pocket for things like a mouse and power cord creates bulges that are unattractive and uncomfortable when I'm carrying it. The pocket works well, though, for things like a pen, small notebook [I'm still attached to writing notes by hand] & business cards...or my iPhone if I want to carry it but not on my person.

None of the reviews mentioned if this would fit the Lenovo ThinkPad Twist S230u so I bit the bullet, and ordered it anyway. If you are wondering if this fits, let me assure you that it does. It is nicely constructed and seems to be durable. The pouch has decent room for pens, small notepads, earbuds. There's even for the power adapter, but since it is a sleeve, you will have a bulge. Yes...it has the new neoprene scent, but I don't find it strong as others have said, and I know that it will disapate.

If my review was helpful, please click on YES so that others can find it more easily. Thanks!

This rooCase did not fit my Lenovo X220T with a 6-cell battery attached; I couldn't even zip it closed. And even without a battery, I could barely zip it closed! I would NOT buy this case for a 12-inch PC let alone for a 12.5-inch. The above picture in which an AC adapter sits in the outside pocket is misleading: not only couldn't I comfortably place the AC adapter in the pocket while the laptop was inside the sleeve -everything was stretched too taut -but the battery alone also did not fit.

The fact that the sleeve is sold specifically for a Lenovo X220i as opposed to any other kind of X220 should not have made a difference since all the X220s, regardless of the end letter, are the same size, 12.5-inch -at least this is true of the X220s manufactured in the last few years. Elsewhere on Amazon, rooCase is advertising a sleeve with the exact dimensions and appearance (but different product number) specifically for an X220, no end letter. The company really needs to straighten out the confusion: Why do these X220s need different rooCase sleeves when both they and the sleeves are unvaried in size and don't fit each other anyway!!!

I gave it three stars because it's a nice neoprene case for a 10 or 11-inch netbook, but not for any of the X220s for which it's advertised.

Adding on information six months later: I am now using this sleeve for a Thinkpad X131, which is 11.6 inches, and it fits beautifully.

Not a whole lot to say. Yes, it did smell a bit, but that is common with new neoprene. Seems to be exactly as advertised. I bought it for a Lenovo ThinkPad Twist, which is not what it claims to fit. It just BARELY fits the Twist... I am not sure I would recommend it for the Twist, since it requires a bit too much effort to get it in and out. Construction seems fine.

This sleeve is light and flexible. I feel confident that my computer is well protected and it trim so it fits anywhere. I would recommend this product.

SanDisk 64GB Ultra MicroSDXC Class 10 Memory Card with SD Adapter - Retail Packaging

SanDisk 64GB Ultra MicroSDXC Class 10 Memory Card with SD Adapter - Retail PackagingWorks on Samsung Note (International Unlocked version at least)Easily recognized by the phone no problems, full capacity recognized, no special set up needed

I just wanted to give a slight clarification for the other 5 star reviewers. I have a myTouch 4g using 2.3.4 so I did my homework before investing in this (and I've been waiting a long time for it to come out). I only purchased it after several other tech reviewers on other websites showed videos of their Android smartphones running 2.3.4 and after reformatting it inside the phone, working perfectly. After one tense minute of the reformatting process I was pleased to see a useable 59.3 gig of space available to use. Although you will not be able to take advantage of the SD XC format's claimed 30mb/s read/write speed after formatting it with your phone (google "will android smartphones be able to use 64 gig micro sd xc") it is a small price to pay for twice the available storage. That and you have bragging rights for the foreseeable future until the 128 gig cards come out for $500 or so.

One last noteto anyone who still doubts that it might work in their smartphones, the adapter that comes with it says "micro SDHC" not "micro SDXC" leading me to believe there probably isn't a whole lot of difference between the two if SanDisk is too lazy to make new adapters to make us think there is.

Buy SanDisk 64GB Ultra MicroSDXC Class 10 Memory Card with SD Adapter - Retail Packaging Now

This is great!! Works perfectly on the DROID Bionic! After putting it in the phone for the first time I had to reformat the card. The phone told me the card was damaged before reformatting. Don't panic if you see that. Just go in to your phone's settings, storage, SD Card, Unmount SD, and reformat that baby. Now my phone has 80GB of total storage. Less than that after formatting, but it's still a ton of space to put all of my music and movies. Time to convert and load more movies now that I have 27GB left.

After formatting, the phone tells me the card has 59.46GB available. If you notice on computer hard drives, the same thing happens. A 250GB hard drive will only give you about 233GB that you can actually use. It's normal.

I recommend this card to anyone who wants to leave their iPod at home and store all of their media on their phone, you can have everything with you wherever you go. It's awesome!

As someone else mentioned I was also surprised to get the class 10 version of the SanDisk 64GB MicroSDXC card when the description shows a class 6. Faster is better so I had no problem with that. I inserted it into my Galaxy S3 and it was recognized by the phone and my Windows Vista machine. Using Vista I created several directories and loaded about 10GB of pictures onto the card. Everything seemed ok. I could see them on the phone and the computer. A few days later I took some pictures with the phone which were sent to the card. After 8 pictures the phone reported the card was malfunctioning and all further pictures would go to the built in phone memory. I plugged the phone into the computer and the card was no longer readable. It showed up as empty. I reformatted the card using the phone and now it refuses to recognize the card at all. When I attempt to mount the card it reports an error and refuses to mount. In the documention from the seller it states that there is no returns once the package is opened so now you know. Buy at your own risk.

This is a great card. I installed it in my new Motorola Droid RAZR cell phone. The phone said upgradable to 32GB but the 64GB works in it fine with no problems. It's like having a larger MP3 with your phone.

I had heard of rooCases before but never needed one until I got my tablet. This case is nearly perfect. Sturdy enough for travel. The actual tablet holder is excellent allowing access to ports and buttons. It may not be as flexible as other tablet cases as per positioning the tablet at various angles, etc., but the protection this case gives is more important to me.

I bought this for my Galaxy Tablet 10.1 and couldn't be happier. It keeps the tablet secure with a very strong Velcro. The charger is in a bad spot because you can't close the case while charging, but who really cares about that? It keeps my notes, business cars and nic nacks organized all the while keeping my tablet safe from the elements. I am very pleased with my purchase. Amazon two day shipping on this was on the money too! Even the boxing was perfect Thumbs up all around!!

This case is well made inside and out. It provides reliable protection with leather exterior, sturdy felt interior with compartments and stylus holder, smooth dual-zipper action, storage compartments, Velcro attachment pad, and overall attractive appearance. The interior compartment includes a removable leather with Velcro frame for the Samsung Android Tab 10.1. I can use the tablet-in-frame alone as a protected, yet small, device in my hands. I can also use the tablet-in-frame inside the unzipped case as a "reading and writing desk" platform. This case has it all.

After purchasing the same type of rooCase cover for my Kindle Fire, I decided to get one for my wife's Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.0. Same excellent quality that I expected. Heavy duty without being too bulky, looks and feels great. I highly recommend it.

This is a really executive style case for my Samsung Galaxy Tab2 10.1. My tablet fits in it perfectly. I like the ability to rotate it 90 degrees for vertical viewing. Enjoy the inside pockets for a few business cards and papers (folded in half of course). Had a slight smell when received but disappeared in a few days. Only wishes: 1) that the easel had extra angle positions 2) the cover could be less cumbersome but no way to really do that 3) The zippers were smoother but a little soap might help that. All in all it is a great case and it really protects my Tablet and disguises it more as an executive planner rather than a Tablet case. Definately worth the price! Good quality!!

3pcs Stylus with Ball-Point Pen fits Palm Centro / Treo 500v

3pcs Stylus with Ball-Point Pen fits Palm Centro / Treo 500v
  • Contains three replacement styli.
  • Included an original PDA stylus tip and a built in Black Ballpoint pen.
  • With its built in Ballpoint pen, you can easily write down notes any time to assist your PDA.
  • Fits perfectly in the integrated stylus slot
  • High Quality - metal pen barrel

Indeed it is easy to break the cap. Ink runs out after writing only a few words, but this is because of the position in the PDA. And you must buy a few of these, they break easily. I've been through many from several different manufacturers, and these are relatively good because they fit snugly in my Palm Centro's stylus socket. So I'm happy with it. It's great for signing a receipt or writing a quick note for someone, but not a full page letter, not even filling out a standard form.

I was excited to find this stylus with the pen to fit my new phone. It looked great. However, after using just a short while, the white cap split down the side, rendering the stylus useless since it won't stay in the phone properly. I would not recommend buying this.

Hewlett Packard Jornada 565

Hewlett Packard Jornada 565
  • Color Pocket PC with 32 MB of RAM with Microsoft's Pocket PC 2002 operating
  • Built-in CompactFlash slot lets you add memory, accessories
  • Vibrant 16-bit color display provides clear view indoors and out
  • Rechargeable lithium-polymer battery lasts 14 hours
  • What's in the box: Jornada 565, Stylus, Flip cover and case, Rechargeable lithium-polymer battery pack, CR-2032 backup battery, AC adapter, USB cradle, Documentation pack, Pocket PC Companion CD

Let me say this about the HP Jornada 565, "HP's Pocket PC's still need refining"

The good about this Pocket PC

-Fast OS and easy useability when first powered up

-Improved design of the flashcard slot versus its predecessors. No more flimsy hinge cover.

-From the industrial designer's perspective, very good button layout, spacious for easy navigating, except still confused on the functioning of the button below the four-way scroll keypad

-Nice side rubber molding for improved grip

-Excellent screen resolution

The bad about this Pocket PC

-Lots of bugs

-If you set up your Activesync to your desktop and connect your handheld then your device name will be "Pocket_PC". If you change the device name, your Activesync won't recognize it and connect only as "Guest". Only way to fix it is to re-install Activesync.

-Activesync. After installing on my Windows 2000 and upgrading the Outlook to 2002, the settings for the Inbox syncing only showed up occasionally when clicked on.

-Avantgo server setup. After changing the device name, had to redo the whole setup procedure of establing servers on my network computer and the avantgo.com server just to get the device to sync up again with the website.

-Windows Media. When I changed the Audio & Video settings to play large dimensions in Audio and Video, it screwed up the application and now it comes up garbled every time I try to open it even after soft resetting.

-The volume control key button on the side doesn't adjust volume automatically. You have to open the volume control window first

-When using earphones, the volume is still very loud even at the lowest setting.

Overall, the HP 565 is a very good product. If HP can fix those software bugs, then it would get a higher rating. I haven't dropped my HP yet but looking at the thin front cover it has, it doesn't look like it'll survive the drop test and there is no warranty coverage for dropped HPs.

Good luck!

Buy Hewlett Packard Jornada 565 Now

I thought for a second that I was going to have to reconfigure all of avantgo's server stuff, too, but all you have to do is click on avantgo in the active sync list, select properties, and enter your avantgo name and password. It will take off from there. Also, I didn't have to reinstall active sync to name it something besides pocket_pc. Maybe I got a later version.

Anyway, I like this jornada. I have had a hand spring visor and phillips velo and a rex in the past, this is the best by far. The built in apps are great, and it is also great for add in programs and games. The stylus is a bit whimpy. Overall I've been very happy.

I purchased a Handspring 1 1/2 years ago (OS) and decided to make the switch to a CE system. I am very pleased with the switch. I started with a Casio BE-300 but was disapointed in the programs available (programs need to be written especially for the BE-300) and the features that came with the unit. I went ahead and swallowed hard and spent the extra couple hundred to get what I really wanted and am very satisfied. More programs, Pocket Word, Pocket Outlook, etc. I had a hard time getting it to connect everytime but then went to the web site to get help and found that you needed to make sure that the unit was not in the cradle when you restarted windows on your descktop PC. Since I have gotten used to taking hte Jornada out of the cradle I have not had a problem.

Ever since I bought my 565 I have loved it. It has been my trusted companion. It also makes a supperior MP3 Player, as it syncs well with Windows Media Player on my PC. It also is the perfect medium to write letters (Pocket Word), Manage your money and investment (MS Money for PPC), The best universal remote(TV Remote), and a better note taker that a giant Tablet PC. And it has a wonderfull hard cover to protect the screen. Despite loving it so much, It is impossable to find parts for it in Canada. Since it is discontinued you can not get a replacement stylus, or assesories. And I've had to get the screen replaced once, and the second time is comming soon. And the dust is impossable to get out.

A few days ago I asked HP the upgrade to Pocket Windows 2003 for my Jornada 565, bought at Amazon on May 30, 2002. They answered they are not planning to give any upgrade to Jornadas because Compaq IPacs are now the mainstream line of pocket PCs from HP. A year after the purchase I have an obsolete tool and I think this is very unfair for HP customers.
