Indeed it is easy to break the cap. Ink runs out after writing only a few words, but this is because of the position in the PDA. And you must buy a few of these, they break easily. I've been through many from several different manufacturers, and these are relatively good because they fit snugly in my Palm Centro's stylus socket. So I'm happy with it. It's great for signing a receipt or writing a quick note for someone, but not a full page letter, not even filling out a standard form.

I was excited to find this stylus with the pen to fit my new phone. It looked great. However, after using just a short while, the white cap split down the side, rendering the stylus useless since it won't stay in the phone properly. I would not recommend buying this.
