The bag itself is well made and looks great. It holds my laptop and basic essentials (blackberry, ipod, book) but it's not a bag if you have alot of files. And you'll need to carry a purse with this bag, since there isn't any room for non-office essentials.

Otherwise it's great -three compartments for small items (blackberry fits in well, as does the itouch, and holders for 2 pens. There is a clasp for keys, but it's not very accessible if your bag is full.

This is one of those products that you really need if you bring your Palm on travel a lot but wish it was designed a heck of a lot better. I use it almost every day on my home computer and pack it with my laptop on travel. The lack of an AC adapter brick is a real advantage, as you can charge your Palm and hotsync through the single USB cable. (Why couldn't they do that with the regular cradle also?) And once connected, it works very nicely.

Notice that I wrote "once connected", as that is much easier said than done. The two very small clips barely hang on to the Palm when attached, so the slightest jostle can disrupt the connection. The other reviewers weren't kidding when they stated that you have to use this on a flat undisturbed surface so that the connection can be maintained. I always have to check that the green light on the Palm is actually on, even though it may look like the cable is seated properly. I also agree that the flismy design of the clips make it a real possibility that they can break off with regular use.

Palm really needs to do a better job of designing its accessories.

Well I was excited to get this item because my deskspace at work is limited and I just wanted to have a small cord for syncing and charging that I could easily put away when I didn't need it. First couple times I used it, it worked fine. Now after maybe a couple months (and maybe a dozen uses, if that) the connection has gotten loose and it won't sync at all. It will still charge the unit (somewhat), but I have to fiddle around with the cord on my desk and make sure the green light on my palm is on so I know it's actually connected properly.

Palm sould really be ashamed at themselves for some of the crappy accessory items they make. I mean, is it so hard to make a sync cord that works? Very dissapointing. I gave it two stars only because it will still charge the unit...and sometimes that alone is useful when I'm at work and don't have a cradle handy.

UPDATE: A couple days after I posted my original review, the cord stopped connecting well enough to even charge the unit. This sync cord is utter crap, don't buy it!!!

I've had this item for about six months and have experienced no problems with it. I use it for syncing at the office, and it charges too. I have a Zire 71 and have no trouble with it seating. It doesn't 'lock in' like a wall plug, but then, it is not a wall plug! Set your PDA and the sync end on a flat surface and plug 'em together ... voila! Push the button, and it syncs. Leave it attached, and it charges. The car outlet connector is an added bonus, as you can charge you PDA while you drive. It accepts any USB connector, so it works with those USB cell phone sync/charge cables too. No muss, no fuss.

I've had this for less than a month, and already one of the 2 metal contacts has broken off. I bought the cable after reading the reviews on the cradle, which said it was awkward to fit the Palm into the cradle and that the cable would work better. I find the cable fit is tenuous at best (even with both contacts), and the fact that I'm already going to have to get a new one (or a cradle instead) is not a good sign.

The high point: It works.

The low point: It isn't the most robust design with the clips and contacts exposed to the world. An extension on the underside would help protect the contacts.

In the end, it is inexpensive, and does just what it claims to. Just give it a safe home in your laptop bag so the clips or contacts don't snag on anything and don't try to use it while jogging.

I live in an area (Indiana) that has just (3/2012) experienced devastating tornadoes. Many people died. You need to be able to monitor the local weather radars and weather updates in the area. When the power goes out or if you are on the run, information is vastly improved with the visual experience of a TV rather than hearing a voice over a weather radio. Those broadcasts are nearly always recorded and a short delay as to what is actually happening occurs.

You need that visual input that only live local television broadcasts can provide. This small TV has a sharp picture and is perfect for emergency use. It has a built in antenna, an external antenna jack and includes an external antenna, built in rechargeable battery that lasts about two hours, and is supplied with an AC adapter/charger.

One reviewer said you have to charge the battery in order to use the TV. Not true. It does charge faster when the TV is off, but you can watch the TV using the AC adapter, and you can watch while it is charging.

In bad weather season, you need to be vigilant and keep it charged. Just as you have to keep your emergency lanterns charged. I only gave the unit four stars because of it's tinny sound and sometimes the antenna is fickle in receiving a signal (blame digital broadcasts). This is common for all units of this size, though. I've had several. The speakers in these units are so small that a good tone is not possible. The included ear buds work well with the unit, and good sound is possible with that.

I received this television today , and already I am very impressed . I live in Homestead florida which is about as far south in flordia as you can go . Miami is thirty miles away from my house where all the television channels are . I went to the walmart parking lot in Homestead and did a scan for channels , I did not expect to receive one station that far away . Well I received 13 station not bad . This was said to be the exact television as the jensen by the guy who sold it on amazon ,I bought it for $40.00 plus shipping about $46.00 all together . The area I live in is flat with no hills , I have heard that hills and mountains block HD television reception and stations are not received . I am recharging the television now . I really wanted to see if HD television channels could be received where I live . I plan on going to biscayne national park here in Homestead and do a straight shot to miami across the bay . I'm very happy with this TV. In a medium size city it scanned and found about 12 channels. Of these I blocked three because I would never watch them, and yes you can block channels in the menu. I read one review that wanted the ability to tune in a channels manually. This doesn't bother me, weak channels on digital broadcast are useless. Unlike old analog broadcast that you could tolerate, digital just breaks up into blocks on the screen or does come in at all.

Operation was very easy. Very few, if any, items I buys these days I can operate without reading the manual, let alone understand everything a device can do. But I can use this TV out of the box without the manual. I only checked the manual once to make sure I charged the battery correctly. Everything is straight forward. There are, however, two power buttons, one on top with the rest of the controls, and one where the power cord plugs in. Think of the one by the power cord as the "main" switch. You can place this in the off position so not to accidentally turn on the TV if the top button switch is hit, wearing down your battery,,, nice.

This comes with an external magnetic mount antenna. It wasn't clear to me in the description if this was the only antenna, but there is a built-in antenna as well. I had pretty much decided I didn't need the external antenna and would just use the built-in antenna. But being able to place the antenna outside picked up several more stations, even though it was less then 12 inches from the built-in antenna on the other side of a window. I now keep the extra antenna with me always. You wouldn't think it would make that much difference but it did for me.

Now for the power supply. A lot of you can skip this because you won't care. This is powered by 5 volts, 1500mA 7.5W. The battery is 3.7 volts, 2000mA. So the first thing I wondered is why this wasn't USB powered, which comes in just over 5 volts. So, yes you guessed it, I built a USB power cord for the TV. Of course it's important to check polarity (center post positive on this one) and amps/watts, but this was simple if you have a multimeter. I bring this up because now you can run the TV on an external USB battery (extending viewing time without a wall outlet), or leave yet another power adapter at home and use a UBS wall adapter. Some of my USB wall adapters/chargers don't have enough power to run the TV, but some do, for example my iPad USB charger at 10 watts can handle the job. Check the ratings on your power supplies.

This is a great little TV and it cost less, I paid just over $100 for the old analog color TV. It has larger screen then my old analog TV while being about the same size overall by using more of the surface and moving the speaker to the back. It's sometimes hard to hear the TV in noisy conditions because of the speaker location but this is a good trade off for the larger screen and external speakers may help solve this, of course you can use head phones. You do get stereo with phones, but uses a single speaker in the back of the set. The external antenna was a bonus. The TV has jacks for power, antenna and earphones. Some people may want more, but I'm glad this was kept simple like the rest of the TV. Although the seller didn't provide a tracking number, expedited shipping got it to me in four business days, so I'm happy. Build feels good and I like being able to store it in the pouch it came with. I hate long reviews, sorry, but I really like this TV.

I should have read the description more careful instead just assume it is a Jensen. But the differences are just the buttons. If you like to channel surfacing, then the Jensen is better, If you like to watch certain channel, then this one is fine for the price. I should've bought a bigger one and can be charged in the car.

I have used this machine for about 6 months now, and it simply perfect for the work I do. I use the office suite to start documents while on the road (I sometimes spruce them up once back at the office with the full version of Word or Excel), and I find other programs handy as well.

I use Microsoft Streets & Maps to make small maps that this machine can use on the road, and I use the free bookreader from Mobibook to read ebooks.

My only recommendation is that you buy Vadem's new model instead (...). Sharp labeled this model, but it was built by Vadem as well. For less money, you can get twice the memory, twice the speed and better graphics.

I have had my Mobilon for a year now and I still love it. As a professional journalist and technical writer, this little PC has made me more productive and efficient. Rather than using a notepad and pen, I bring along my Mobilon and essentially take dictation from interviewees. With applications like Pocket Word, Excel and PowerPoint, it snycs beautifully and easily with my desktop for more technical applications and the 12 hour battery life is fabulous! It also syncs with Outlook so I have all my contacts and my schedule with me. The touch screen technology and built-in handwriting recognition software mean I don't have to find a surface for a mouse and I can take notes or draw figures with the stylus. The monitor resolution is very clear, though hard to read in bright sunshine, so don't take it poolside. Color and grahics are very good, though you are limited when it comes to your choice of fonts--not a critical item for me.

I have small hands, so I think the keyboard is big enough for me, though some people have commented that typing on it is awkward. I disagree.

Of course, you can download or buy lots of great software from Bubblet (TM) to finance and utilites, so the sky's the limit for how you decide to use this impressive little machine.

If you are looking for a laptop that doesn't weigh seven pounds but is powerful enough for Word documents, spreadsheets and more, the Sharp Mobilon is for you.

I use the Tripad (PV6000) in tablet mode for data entry and inventory control. CIC's Jot and the Jot Keyboard are both a big help with direct entry of numbers. It sure beats the laptop. The battery life is great. I did order the memory upgrade, 32 MB and added a CF card. I also added a Calluna 260 MB hard disk to the PC card slot to store backups and all of the eBooks from Peanut Press, Books2Read, and Mobibook.

Let me state first off that I love(d) this machine! It is light-weight, easy to use and interfaces superbly with your desktop or notebook.

That said, I feel that I need to warn you that in 1 year, I have had to return my machine 4 times for the same repair. It freezes, won't shut off, then after a hard reset, won't turn back on. Sharp has replaced the battery, the main chip and the inverter, now is going to charge me [alot] to fix the machine! I was considering buying a new one, until I talked to my Dad who also bought one at my recomendation and found out that his is doing the same thing. Obviously, I didn't get a rare lemon.

Take a chance if you must, but I am steering clear of this wonderful little computer until they fix some major problems!

The best thing about this is the design, but the arms connecting the screen and keyboard look odd when the unit is closed. The screen is fairly dim, and must be used in a dark/moderately lit room. The viewing angle of the screen is horrible; the only position you can see the whole screen without an inversion/blackout effect is at an angle where any overhead lighting glares all over the place. The CPU speed isn't particularly slow, but the graphics ([re]drawing the screen) goes on at an awful crawl i.e. it's no good for graphical things. Now I must sound entirely bitter and biased against this machine, but I'm not, I carry it in my bag all the time and use it when I can. I even use it as an electronic book, its best use so far.

My husband gave me the Nook Tablet for Christmas; he also gave me the Barnes and Noble green cover for it, but my Nook wouldn't fit in it. I had to return it; the girl at B & N tried to convince me it would fit, so I let her try, but she couldn't do it either, so I don't recommend that one. The one thing I didn't notice in the description, is that where the top flap and bottom meet there are magnets inside the fabric (they are not visible), which hold it closed nicely, so that it's not flipping open and you don't have to worry about snapping it shut, the magnets just pull together, (nice). I have looked at Windows CE devices before and found them under powered, over priced, and inadequate in several respects. After months of scrutiny and research, I was finally ready to buy a Palm Pilot. At the last minute, I looked at the Jornada 545 and bought one on the spot.

Its handwriting recognition is like nothing else I've used. In a couple of hours I was entering data quickly--something I didn't think was possible considering the high marks the Palm OSs Graffiti earned, but never worked well for me.

The color screen is great. I bought the Pretec modem and was able to surf the web. In the morning I download all the new web pages I typically read and review them throughout the day when I have a little time.

I needed a PDA to keep in sync with email and my Internet site, but the Palm's "Web Clipping" technology just wasn't worth it. The Pocket Internet Explorer is great.

The Jornada 545 is also fast. It boots instantly, and the syncrhonization between my Microsoft Outlook is GREAT!

This elegant collaboration between HP and MS is a must have product!

I'm a long-time Palm user I've bought three different versions over the last three years. Overall I think the Palm's are ok but there always seemed to be something I wanted to do but couldn't. I managed to get a new Jornada 545 from a friend at HP and absolutely love it. It's simple to use and it does so much more than my Palm. The browser is very good given the constrained screen real-estate. The color is great. The media player is great. The only thing it lacks that I'd like is built-in wireless support. If I could connect to the web/email directly I'd probably use this instead of my laptop for many situations.

All in all I highly recommend the Jornada.

Well I have found a product that is not only a gadget but actually works just the way I would have made it myself (if only I could). The HP545 is the best "thing" I have come across for many years. It has, at a stroke, replaced two items I habitually carry and another that I was going to buy. These are my organiser / Tape player / MP3 Player.

I habitually spend (too) many hours of my life stuck in hotel rooms and airplanes (down the far back and up the very front) and I love the concept of the "talking books" / audio cassette that are now available it saves my eyes and helps me sleep. What I do not like is having to pay almost as much for postage as for the cassettes and waiting 4 weeks to get them. Then having to hump around all those cranky cassettes and the battery eating player.

Yesterday I changed my life. Using my HP545 and Audible.com I brought 5 new audio books, downloaded them on the internet and uploaded them to my 545 in the space of an hour. This cost me 25% of what it would in cassette format + postage. It would have been less than an hour too, but I was still fumbling the software a little. My goodness why could it not have always been this easy...

I now have in my 90MB FlashMemory card (buy it and plug it in) 8 printed books (lots supplied classics but still I haven't read that many of them), 10 MP3 favorites and 25 hrs of audio book programming. And there is still space to spare.

Transfers to and from the PC are a snap and the USB connection is very fast. Don't even think of doing these file sizes on the serial though. No USB think about another solution or you will grow old waiting for the files to move.

The included apps are just GOOD. OK the screen is fairly small but the 65K colours and crystal clarity help. Everything works and the cutdown versions of Outlook / Work etc are very functional.

I have saved the neatest for last. The script / handwriting recognition WORKS. Even my scruffy scrawl gets the job done and with a little practise at being neat with the pen and not trying to use the very bottom of the screen you can gallop along.

Well done HP and MS A nice job well implemented.

Caveats : You need a decent sized memory card. Budget for 64MB and you will not be disappointed. For the numerically inclined an average "printed book" is 200K, audio books are 2MB per hour and high quality MP3 is 1MB a minute. These figures are deceptive though. I would never carry 25 hours of taped book around normally and it is so easy to move stuff in and out of the 545 that I am being a hog. Still what was that phrase about expanding to fill the space available....

I'm a die-hard Palm user, and I still keep my Palm VII around for wireless Internet access; but the Jornada really is a great device. The backlit screen has great color; there's a slight problem with vertical banding when there's a variety of different color brightnesses on the screen, but it's still extremely readable, much more so than the Palm screen.

The Microsoft Reader application is wonderful; I can't wait until some more eBooks start coming out. A number of good public-domain books are included with the package, though.

I have yet to have it crash, but that could be because I'm very conscientious about closing applications I'm no longer using--something that's easy to do from the HP Settings screen, which is called up by one of the hardware buttons. (Most of the crashes I've heard about seem to revolve around having a fairly large number of applications running, until the poor thing finally runs out of memory and keels over.)

If you're a creative type like me, the built-in voice recorder is a wonderful touch; you don't have to switch applications, or open the Jornada's cover, or even turn it on--just press and hold the Record button on the side and start talking. You can later easily review the notes or transfer them to the PC. If you plan on making extensive use of this feature, though, you might want to buy a 32MB CompactFlash memory card along with the Jornada, though, as voice recordings made on the high-quality setting can use up memory in a hurry.

The email capabilities and pocket Internet Explorer are quite nice; you'll find these features much more useful if you're already using Outlook as your desktop email program, or if you're willing to switch. (Gee, two Microsoft products working much better with each other than with third-party products? What a surprise. :) )

In conclusion, I don't regret the purchase for a moment, and I'm already looking for a compatible cellular phone so I can start making full use of email and the Web while on the road.

Well... the folks at UPS made me a very happy guy when my Jornanda 545arrived this morning. I bought it at Amazon.com . . . It arrived lessthan a day-and-a-half later.

I was so excited about this new model, but was totally unable to find them here in San Diego. Amazon.com to the rescue.

I've upgraded from a Jornada 420, so I feel I can provide an informed side-by side comparison.

The first thing you notice is just how frickin' cool the 545 looks. It carries none of the "purple plastic brick" visual baggage of the 420. The 545 is a sleek dark-gray wedge. Very sexy -if this sort of thing CAN be sexy.

Granted, the placement of the 545's stylus is a bit cumbersome, and the shape a bit odd, but I'll get used to it. Even if the stylus where stored in a slot of the side of the unit, I'd still want the cover. Having the cover makes me feel quite a bit more likely to carry this with me from one meeting to the next.

As far as size, and yes, as in most cases, size DOES count -the 545 seems quite a bit smaller than the 420, but upon further inspection, and a not-so-accurate side-by-side eyeballing it really doesn't seem to be. I think it's the more comfortable wedge-like shape and rounded edges that make it appear more svelte. Unlike the 420, I'll have no hesitation pocketing the 545.

On with the show -or screen that is. The screen on the 545 seems quite a bit brighter. Now, most people won't notice this until they go into the HP Setting function and select the 'Outdoor' mode. It may be that the 545 has more useable brightness because the contrast is better. Now, to be fair, I've never had a problem being able to read my 420's display, but the 545's does seem a bit better.

As far as the UI, it is quite a bit easier to use -but does require a little getting used to. As far as the OS, the speed is greatly improved -very impressive considering that it is running on essentially the same hardware.

They audio quality out of the 545 is VERY impressive. It will serve as a portable MP3 player quite admirably.

The new 'Transcriber' handwriting recogntion is fantastic. I couldn't belive the job it did recognizing things I was certain it would choke on. We should require all medical doctors to use these in order to prevent perscription errors!

These carriers fit into CRU-Dataport's external drive chassis models. I use the 2-bay enclosure (0023-5010-5220), attached to our PC via eSATA cable. These removable enclosures work with internal hard drives at least up to 2TB (perhaps more check with MFR), allowing you to change just the drives themselves to upgrade backup capacity. Since they're removable, you can rotate several for offsite storage. Great product. Worked very well with two minor issues:

a) I tried it on a 17" Screen it didn't work..

b) Have to recalibrate (very quick process) once every ~24 hours

There are two main complaints about this product and one minor one.

Major problem 1: The batteries for the pen die extremely quickly. I needed to replace them twice in two months. That's once per month.

Major problem 2: It broke in three months. Yep. Just stopped working. In three months.

Minor problem: If you are drawing in the center (i.e. under the reception unit), the lines are all wavy.

In short, don't buy this. This truly is low quality product.

I bought this Pen with very high expectations, and ended up being shocked with the results i got. After few hours of trying and trying on different LAPtops, different brands, and different OS (XP and Windows 7) i managed to get the caliberation going to some extent. However, the click function on the PEN stopped, either using buttons or Pen tip clicks.

I am not sure what is happening to my PEN but i already started looking for something else more consistent as far as performance goes.

What is even more disappointing is i could not find an email on Penandfree.com website to contact them, i get redirected to another website that has some flash issues and does not allow me to complete the complaint!!! very disappointed and a complete waste of my money.

So i'm messy and disorganised a Palm Pilot (IIIe) is perfect for me. I do not buy animal products so this case seemed perfect. HA! imagine a thick piece of flexible rubber built so if it breaks there are no parts a child could eat. This makes it not only bulky, poorly designed, but in conflict with the actual purpose of owning a case. the top doesnt stay on unless its taped down and forget about dropping it as nothing is holding your palm down inside. besides all this, let me mention that the pieces are so crudely put together dont even think about having liquid near by one spill would leak completly thru the case... I've not tested this theory, but logic states that liquid can go thru spaces like these. Save your money and effort and look elsewhere, a company should be ashamed to put out such a poorly designed product.

This case is really big and bulky. If you like to put your palm top in your pocket this not the case for you. You also have to completly remove the palm top from the case to hot sync.

I've used this product for approximately 12 months. After a period of time my palm stopped accepting entries. I finally figured out that the pressure involved in getting the palm in and out of this product was the problem. Apparently it was causing a small movement between the front panel of the palm and the back panel, creating a loss of connection. No permanent problem was created, but I have had to stop using this product.

I looked at several iPad cases with a shoulder strap and I decided on the podfob. I is not bulky and fits tight around the iPad. The bottom of the podfob is open so you can attach the Smart Cover from Apple but the opening also helps to dissipate the heat that the new processor in the iPad 3 generates.

I looked at the Smart Cover and tried it. It is nifty but it is one more thing I could lose when I travel. I bought the bodfob to hang the iPad around my neck when I travel or go to the store to make sure I do not put it down and forget it.

I believe it is not fair to write a review destroying a product, claiming that it does not work at all. First, i've been burning cd's and dvd's containing all kind of files for years, and i've used almost every single brand of dvd's and i have to say that just a few brands which are very cheap never worked as i hoped they would. I bought 2 packs of these TDK DL dvds, each one containing 25 discs (product's description says its a single pack with 50 dvd's), and so far i've burned 14 disc without a single problem. I've burned movies, music, and made backups of my work and burned a few games too, and they all worked perfectly. I think some reviewers here should learn how to burn a dvd first, and then they should write a review. Google is out there, you can find whatever you are looking for there. But please, dont say that every single dvd didn't work. I used an ASUS SDRW-08D1S-U dvd writer, and burned the dvds at maximum speed allowed (6x) and depending on the amount of data burned, it took 16 mins to burn 7.6 GB. If you got a low performance pc, try to burn at the lowest speed possible, and dont run any other programs while burning a dvd. Plus, get a good burning software, and don't mess around with the options if you don't know what they are for. I used Nero Express and it did all the work by itself, i just had to drag and burn. And even if it sounds dumb, confirm if your dvd burner supports double layer dvds.

I give this product 5/5 since every single dvd ive burned, works perfectly. Dont blame this product for your lack of knowledge, something that may sound simple like burning a dvd could be very tricky if you dont do it carefully. I will definitely buy more once i finish with these ones.

These TDKs are solid media for recording all of your games, movies and data. I have yet to have a coaster and have been using these for some time. highly recommended.

Always bought a competitor's blank media, but took a chance on this product and it's a WINNER. Excellent product at an economical price. Dual (or double) layer DVD recordable media is getting harder to find in the stores at least a good brand is anyway. Picture and audio clarity are excellent and is just as good, if not, better than the more expensive Dual Layer recordables. Don't waste money on other name brands that give you less quantity for the same price or more. This product was purchased from an outside vendor thru Amazon. Shipping was clean and prompt. Would definitely buy again !

I used to have problems with all the dual layer DVDs I ever bought, any brand I tried. They all worked sporadically at best, and many more disks ended up unplayable than not. It got to the point where I started to think that 8.5GB DVDs were a worthless media format, usable only in theory. Well, that was until I got a tip from somewhere to record at 4x. Yes, it will take longer, but try it, it works like a charm. I haven't had a single "coaster" since I started doing that, and I am on my fourth 50-disk spindle now (that means at least 150 disks already burned with no defects whatsoever). In other words, the problem is not with the TDK brand, it's an issue inherent in the dual layer format.

I have been using this media as long as they've been available. On several different recorders. The trick is first of all burning at HALF the rated speed (8x at 4x). The second is setting the booktype to DVD-ROM whenever possible. Don't blame the media for ignorance of how to burn!

Cute gizmo, but nowhere does it warn you that 1. this is Windows only printer driver (no Mac, and no Linux support), and 2. you must have MS Excel in order to use their "software" which is nothing more than excel template with macros. Laaaame.

Not to mention, I shelled out $80 for expedited shipping (1-3 business days) on Friday evening, and it arrived after COB on Wednesday. Perhaps barely meets that definition, but disappointed nonetheless. To top it off, the price was reduced $200 within 4 days of my order.

Print quality is acceptable (not fantastic) on the sample cards included. However, I needed to print onto proximity enabled cards which are about 2x thicker and the print was terrible. It skipped a spot (probably where the RFID chip is embedded) and the whole card was glazed in yellow. Complete fail.

I have a new computer but old speakers that barely put out any sound at all. After reading reviews on this product I ordered it and am very pleased that I did. Had a little trouble at first hooking the speakers up as I found the printed instructions to be slightly confusing. However my on-line HP help solved the problem and all went smoothly from then on. I don't consider myself an audiophile or anything, but I do know that I plugged these speakers in and tried them out for the first time with Godsmack, and they performed exceptionally well. The bass was solid and the sound had no perceptible distortion, and I was rock'n out as much as I would in my car. From across the room, the girlfriend said, "Wow, those sound really good!". I'm sure there are other great units out there for hundreds of dollars, but for 27 bucks you can't go wrong for a booming sub-woofer and marvelous little mini speakers that belt out the sound. The little controller is pretty sweet too, as it adds to the coolness factor with it's little white LED, and I hate trying to turn speakers on and off from the speaker. The little controller sits right by my keyboard, ready to control power and volume. The right speaker fits perfectly under the shelf for my printer, which is why I wanted little speakers to begin with. If you're dealing with the speakers your computer came with, and you find yourself feeling shortchanged on real sound, get these.

I bought this set about three days ago and using them with a acer netbook. I think the bass is punchy and strong but not too much. the treble is a little weak but I think its just not overpowering like other speakers I'm used to. The high end is not sparkling but pleasant and warm. They get very loud and stay strong to the upper volume levels. The price is a little high for what you get. Oh, the gloss black on the satellites suck a lot of dust out of the air and all over the speakers! I like them because they do not take up a lot of space and they look great!

I've had these speakers a little over 6 months now and didn't want to jump to writing a review without having enough time to really see how they worked.

Out of the box, they were find and everything worked well for me. The sound was good, not great, but enough for what I needed. I like to watch videos, play games, listen to music, but I'm in no way an audiophile. The subwoofer has a very small footprint and can easily fit on a desk and the speakers themselves are very short and take up very little room. I have my sub on the ground, and my speakers under my monitor. My monitor is an Acer 23" LED on the same level as the speakers, so I was glad to see that the speakers fit underneath without obstructing any of the screen.

The volume control is a separate cable which is both good and bad. It adds more time and effort to the setup, but it puts control of the volume wherever you want it without actually having to move or reach for the speakers. The plastic of the volume control isn't the best, but you aren't paying very much for these speakers anyways, so it's still a pretty good value. I am pleased with the construction and looks with the speakers overall, but where it falls short is after extended use.

Recently, my speakers have been giving me a slight buzzing sound at 25% and above volumes. Regardless of what I have my computer volume set at, if the dial on the volume control is at the 25% mark or higher, there is a constant buzzing even with the computer off. Even more recently, every once in a while, that buzzing would be there even under the 25% mark. For what I paid, I don't expect all that much, but ti's sad to see this happen.

I usually don't play any audio very loudly, so I don't think it would be an issue of usage, but the paper part of the speakers are exposed, so you will need to be careful about how you treat them. I turn my speakers off when I don't need them to minimize the amount of buzzing I hear, but I would imagine for most people, this is too much of a hassle to deal with.

With all the digicams I have, I've collected a lot of memory formats and quite a few card readers along the way. None were perfect and none were all that versatile. For example, my Viking combination SmartMedia & CompactFlash required being unplugged and then plugged in again before each use. It was also, as a USB 1.1 device, a tad slow. Recently I got the SanDisk 6-in-1 vertical reader and I have been 100% satisfied. I took it out of the pkg., plugged it directly into the USB 2.0 port, and it self-installed (on WinXP). No power plug is required. Then I opened my junk drawer and found 4 "mystery" cards: a SM32, a CF8, a MS8 & a MMC16 (I think these were all original equipment cards that were quickly replaced by larger ones). Only the CompactFlash 8 was blank. The others all yielded some fun, forgotten about pics that came up on the screen with no prompting whatsoever. Read speed was awesome. This SanDisk unit is a winner at a great price.

I recently bought the 6-in-1 to use with my Sony Memory Stick and SanDisk SD cards. The Memory Sticks worked fine but the SD wouldn't work at all. In fact, as soon as I plugged in an SD card, the Memory Stick would also stop working. I filled in a problem report on the SanDisk website, and by 7:30 am the next morning I had a response. I must admit that I was skeptical of the suggested fix, which was to disable NAV scanning of the boot sector of removable media. However, when I did as suggested, all cards worked fine. Apparently, when NAV scans the SD card, the reader and/or NAV doesn't know how to handle this and disables the card.

I see several comments in this section about similar problems; this may be the cause.

My observations are therefore that it is a good product, quite fast, SanDisk provides excellent support, and the only negative is that they have to develop an upgraded flash for the reader that doesn't have the NAV conflict. Also, since they already knew about this conflict, they should have posted the information in their knowledgebase on the website.

I had high hopes for this reader. The specs are great, and the look, feel, and quality are high. This is a nice package. Unfortunately, for the first time in the last 3 or 4 years that I've been using CF cards and all sorts of readers, THIS reader would only recognize 2 out of 6 of my CF cards. It did recognize my one Memory Stick I had.(I'm running XP, by the way.) Going to the Sandisk site and using their instructions for uninstalling/reinstalling the drivers (which involves editing your Registry!) didn't change a thing. I was extremely disappointed, and have returned the unit for a refund. I'm looking now for another brand's USB 2.0 reader to replace it.

I got one of these from a supplier other than Amazon. It does not work. It sometimes freezes my Windows 98 SE computer (admittedly a USB 1.1 that this is supposed to be backward compatible for). Recommend against

I own 6 flash cards of varying types and sizes (3 Compact Flash, 1 SD and 2 Sony memory sticks). 2 of them (1 CF card and 1 memory stick) won't work on this unit, and one (a CF card) causes the whole thing to freeze up and malfuntion.

This device is very buggy and although Sandisk knows about the problems, they will not offer refunds or any type of useful support. They have 2 responses: (1)"You can try to return it to the retailer you bought it from" or (2)"We are trying to determine the cause of the problems and develop a firmware fix, but we don't know when that will be available".

I have spent too many aggravating hours on the phone with a customer service manager. Finally I got fed up and called Amazon.com to let them know that Sandisk is trying to leave retailers holding the bag with their defective products, since they are encouraging customers to ask their retailers for refunds.

Amazon was great, and agreed to accept the product for refund even though I had to maul the packaging to get the unit out when I first received it. They even gave me pre-paid shipping, since the unit is defective.

I would have saved myself a lot of hassle by simply buying a different product in the first place.

Worked for for 2 days then stopped. Too bad, it was great while it lasted. Returned it today and will look for something else.

This should be a great device it's the right size, the keyboard's perfect for texting-like entry, but....unfortunately its' range matches its' size very small. The transmission range is really limited to about 5-10 feet for reliable use. Mine is totally useless from 15 feet away with an unobstructed view of the receiver. The mouse pad is vague and you have to remove your right hand from the pad to select, the select (right and left click) should be left hand operated. Double clicking is a hit and miss proposition at best. Basically its' a useless piece of junk too bad because it is really a great concept. I bought this based on the other reviews and frankly I have had the completely opposite experience. Buyer beware.

This little keyboard device has a handy size (6"x2.4") in terms of enabling texting with more fingers pecking rather than just thumb-pecking. The well marked keys are nicely enhanced by on demand backlighting, wooohw! It has the laptop keys setmore keys than the regular cell phone keyboardand has alternative mouse/cursor functions: pointstick and touch. Of course, the laser pointer is a smiley plus. I must also add that the keyboard is physically balanced and just right light in such a way that it naturally rests on the little fingers and thumbs as opposed to being 'handheld'. I just wish it came with a pouch or sleeve for protection.

I own a Samsung Vibrant and have looked at T-Mobile stores, @ tmobile.com, Bestbuy, and other chain stores, trying to find an excerise arm band. It was quite frustrating because everything in the stores were made for Apple brand products. I have used this armband regularly for about four weeks and have been pleased with it. It stays in place, is breathable, and the sleeve is big enough that I can leave my phone in rubber protective cover and it still fits appropriately in the armband.
