Aleratec 300116 16x LightScribe V1.2 Duplicator Grade Rainbow DVD+R (100-Pack)

Aleratec 300116 16x LightScribe V1.2 Duplicator Grade Rainbow DVD+R
  • Compatible with LightScribe Direct Disc Labeling DVD/CD Duplicators, Recorders and Publishing Systems
  • Burn your data. Flip the disc. Burn a label directly onto your disc
  • No ink. No smudging. No Peeling. LightScribe labels are laser-etched using the same LightScribe-enabled drive that burns your data.
  • 20 each of Blue, Orange, Yellow, Green and Red color backgrounds

This product arrived in the time specified. Packaging was appropriate.

The videos recorded on this DVD (using DVD Studio Pro on Mac Pro) were less than perfect. On playback, there were random instances (about 12 or 15 in a 1+ hour movie) of small colored pixel groups flashed on the television screen which did not appear in the movie when it was created or played using Final Cut Pro and DVD Studio Pro. I have burned movies to other brands of DVDs without this happening. The sound was not affected.

When I tried to print (using Acoustica CD/DVD Label Maker on HP DV6000 laptop) the Lightscribe label on these colored DVD disks, I kept getting error messages and a link to download an update for the Lightscribe driver from HP's web site. HP's web site stated to only use gold/bronze Lightscribe disks. Uh oh. The update was installed but did not solve the problem. At this point I was contemplating having to return the rainbow colored DVDs.

I went to Lightscribe's web site and downloaded their drivers. Problem solved. The Lightscribe labels printed without error and the print quality was excellent.

I can live with the small pixel groups flashing on the screen for this project, but some projects must have perfect video recordings, and I'm not sure this brand can deliver consistently in that regard.

The imperfect quality of the video recording brought down this rating.

Handheld USB Trackball Optical Mouse Mice Laptop PC

Handheld USB Trackball Optical Mouse Mice Laptop PCI dont like giving bad reviews but i need to share my bad experience with you. the mouse is a good idea. easy to get use to worked fine for awhile. then it started to stop working intermitely. then compleatly stoped working it only lasted a month

I bought Handheld USB Trackball Optical Mouse Mice Laptop PC from AMgadgets, the item was stated as "Brand New" and yet the box was smashed and the trackball and mouse was covered in finger prints and slimy skin oil. i didnt hesitate for even a second sending it back.

Good idea, poor/cheap design. I have slightly larger hands and I found that using this was not just uncomfortable but somewhat painful. Trackball not very well designed; poor sensitivity and no way to remove the ball to clean contact points. Used as an optical mouse, not bad, but there are better designs out for optical mice.

I an disabled and this mouse is versatile enough for my needs at this time. It also allows me use it as a regular mouse or even pick up and use it as a track ball.

You have to be holding it up in one hand like a controller for a one person shooter. When it is on the desk the trackball will not stay in place and the left and right buttons stick together and are hard to differentiate when clicking.

SanDisk Flash 4 GB Memory Stick PRO Duo Flash Memory Card SDMSPD-004G, Black

SanDisk Flash 4 GB Memory Stick PRO Duo Flash Memory Card SDMSPD-004G, Black
  • Enjoy your experiences with memory made just for Sony digital cameras by the1 global leader in flash memory cards
  • Trust the memory card that's compatible with your Sony digital camera or any Sony device with a Memory Stick Pro DuoTM slot
  • Capacities: 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB*
  • Count on memory backed by a 5-year limited warranty**
  • Compatibility tested with a broad range of Sony Cybershot cameras, Handycam camcorders and Alpha DSLRs.

Fine & as advertized. However, shipping costs were a dig. I bought two and paid 2x for shipping -even though the items were in the same envelope! C'mon! We know when we've been treated unfairly although no crime. It's an ethical issue.

Buy SanDisk Flash 4 GB Memory Stick PRO Duo Flash Memory Card SDMSPD-004G, Black Now

Ordered two of these for use in a Sony PCM-D50 portable audio recorder. Neither functioned reliably in this device problems included a very long delay during power-up to "access" the memory card, and in one case an aborted recording with a "File Damaged" error message. This PCM-D50 works fine with an identically-spec'd but Sony-branded MemoryStick PRO-Duo inserted.

Subsequently, I tried out these SanDisk cards in three different Sony DSC cameras (of various vintage, I'm a Sony fan). The cards seem to work fine there, so as a result I'll probably keep these two. However, I'm still disappointed that I'll need to purchase the more-expensive Sony 'Sticks for my audio recorder.

Palm 3169WW Universal Wireless Keyboard

Palm 3169WW Universal Wireless Keyboard
  • Wireless keyboard compatible with Palm OS, Windows Mobile OS, Pocket PC, and Symbian devices
  • Operates through infrared sensor for reliable wireless connectivity
  • Full QWERTY keyboard with five rows of full-size keys
  • Comes with Windows setup software
  • See product description for list of compatible Palm products

The Palm Wireless Keyboard makes life easier for me. My information/Review is based on my own experience with this keyboard.

Installation: Put the disc in, follow instruction, perform hot sync, and wala! I'm done in 3 minutes. I don't know why others have problem with this.

How to use the keyboard: You have to turn the keyboard on FROM the PDA. On my Palm T|X, I go to the keyboard shortcut and turn it on. Maybe that's why others are having problem. It is not a plug and play type keyboard. You have to turn it ON from the PDA before you can use it. And by the way, your PDA has to be in place and align with the keyboard's IR to turn it on.

Design: C'mon, it's a black keyboard. How different is that from the other keyboards? You're supposed to use this keyboard to make life easier, not to compete in a "who has the prettiest keyboard" competition. The design is no different from a laptop keyboard. I can agree with others that this is not an easy keyboard to use if you are on a meeting trying to type everything. I can type 60+ words per minute on a regular keyboard but maybe 30+ on this keyboard only because I'm not used to it. But if I'm on my own pace I don't even notice.

Stability: I don't have any stability issues with this keyboard. I used this bad boy on the plane, train, school, ship, bus and at home and I never had any stability issues. Unless you are running or experiencing an earthquake, then yeah, stability would be an issue. And remember, this is a PORTABLE KEYBOARD; it folds so you can carry it with you.

Battery: two AAA batteries lasted me 3 months. Not bad at all. No complaints there. And yes, I use this keyboard at least 5 hours a week when I'm in the US and about 7 hours if I'm overseas.

Overall: It gets the job done for me. I can do my assignments, chat with my daughter, surf the web, check and send emails, calculate numbers and use PowerPoint with it. Don't be intimidated by other reviews. Find out for yourself. I'm glad I did and life just got a lot easier when using my T|X. I hope my experience can help you with your decision. Trust me, you won't regret buying this keyboard.

Compact & Easy to Use

The keyboard is great, stores easily and great for the classroom or to create a portable mini office. First thing: DO NOT USE THE DISK!!! Download your drivers from the Palm website. You will need the driver that is meant for your model. I have the Palm TX.

Second is that you need to play around with the commands on the keyboard to get it to work. The infrared eye is on the arm. If you flip it up, you can use Your Palm in portrate mode. If you flip it down, you can use the Palm in the right-handed landscape mode. They don't explain this anywhere in the directions.

If you have large hands, this is not a keyboard you would like. It's not quite a full-sized keyboard.

If I didn't have to spend so much time trying to figure it out, I would have given this keyboard a 5. With Documents to Go, you need to add in a command key so you can go straight to that program without using the stylus pen.

Thank you to everyone else that added your comments. I learned more from all of you than the so called directions. The only reason why the direction book is so large is because it's written in several languages.

Want Palm 3169WW Universal Wireless Keyboard Discount?

A very good keyboard that doesn't take very much space when folded, but unfolds to an almost full-sized keyboard. The interface with my device (Palm TX) works very well. I had some small problems in the past using the previous wireless keyboard from Palm with my Tungsten T3, but this works as a dream. Some improvements from the old model:

-A fourth row for numerics

-The IR-arm swings from the right and if you have a PDA that supports landscape viewing and has the IR on top, then you don't even have to release it

-The keyboard now locks open so it doesn't fold on uneven surfaces (still, you won't use this in your lap unless you have something solid underneath it)

-To save on keyboard batteries you can now switch the keyboard off even when it is open, just slide the PDA-cradle to the left along the keyboard (may sound strange to anyone who hasn't seen the unfolding solution). When slid into OFF the folding lock also releases, which I like since the unlock button isn't very handy.

After trying a few keyboards with my Tungsten E, I found this one to be user friendly ... at least for adults. It allows you to access the number keys & special character keys just like a regular keyboard (no need for function keys in awkward places). It also has blue icons above the numbers to automatically access Palm home, contacts, calendar, memos.... when you simultaneously press the function key. There's a programmable command key which when pressed with a number will open whatever application you wish. You can orient your Palm vertically or horizontally. So what's so adult-friendly & not so kid-friendly (I'm using these with 3rd graders)? Opening it. Rather than pull it open, you slide it open. To close it, you need to push a little release button. For me, I love it.

rooCASE Dual-View Multi Angle Leather Folio Case Cover and Capacitive Stylus for Samsung GALAXY Tab 2 7.0Pretty good case. The quality is a little borderline. It maybe is a 3.5 stars. It fits snugly so that's good, but it isn't the best when you use it in the propped up/ triangle position. Just ok. Maybe a little pricey compared to others listed, but I haven't seen those up close so they maybe really bad quality.

SanDisk 128 MB CompactFlash Card

SanDisk 128 MB CompactFlash Card
  • CompactFlash memory card
  • 128 MB storage capacity
  • For use with digital devices requiring high memory capacity
  • Ultrasmall removable data storage system
  • Built-in industry-standard compatibility

About a year ago, I purchased a Nikon Coolpix 950 digital camera. The "wimpy" 8 MB CompactFlash card that came with the unit would only hold one (1) uncompressed, high-resolution picture I needed more. I started looking and found this; the SanDisk 128 MB CompactFlash. I read on the Nikon technical support web page that SanDisk is the OEM for Nikon's CompactFlash cards, so I felt pretty safe selecting this card. The only question I had was "would my Coolpix 950 work with a card this large?" The answer is a resounding YES! (according to friends, it will work in the new Coolpix 990 also)

The card formatted in the camera perfectly and has simply worked for the past nine months. I shoot all pictures in high resolution with a moderate compression level, allowing me to store more than 110 2.1 MegaPixel pictures in the camera plenty for me. Recently, we took a five-day trip to Disney World this card captured ALL of our pictures perfectly. If you get this, check out one of the USB card readers as well the serial connection is just way too slow for transferring this much data.

Executive Summary: Buy it now.

Buy SanDisk 128 MB CompactFlash Card Now

One of the "must-haves" for digital cameras is the ability to store a significant number of pictures. The SanDisk 128Mb card provided the ability to store over 700, which was adequate for our upcoming two-week vacation.

Why the SanDisk? I checked out compatibility (actually, the Kodak DX3600 required an upgrade to provide support for this product), and reviewed the ... organization's site ... . The dollars/megabyte, from one of the bigger manufacturers, was right. A five-year warranty closed the deal for me. Finally, it's proven itself reliable for the past few months. NO problems whatsoever.

I bought this about 10 hours before leaving for Disney World. I use it in a Nikon Coolpix 700 (2.1 mp) set at the basic mode (1600 x 1200, apx 240k per pic with full compression). I took 471 pictures and had room for over 100 more. Download of 108 meg with a USB card reader took about 5 minutes. A side effect I had not counted on was that write times increased as the card got full. With a 16MB card I never noticed this but toward the end of 128MB the delay was very noticeable. "Boot time" (pause after turning on the camera) was increased too. Again, something that was never an issue with a smaller card. A good reason to hang on to your older, smaller ram cards for things like sporting events frames per second are important. If picture quality is essential to your work, the size fo the card makes full TIFF images (8 meg per) a viable option. Memory may not be cheaper for a long time. I paid the same for this card that I paid for a 16MB card 2 years ago. Highly recomended.

Want SanDisk 128 MB CompactFlash Card Discount?

I have been very happy with this CompactFlash card. It is used on my Kodak digital camera, and is very fast at saving the pictures. On this one flash card I can hold 307 highest quality pictures (8x10) before I have to change over to the original flash card that came with my camera. I highly recommend spending the extra money to get a 128 MB flash card if you are into digital photography.

I was on a trip to Europe this summer. Although I already had two 64 MB SanDisk CompactFlash cards, I bought the 128 MB when I upgraded to the Canon G1. In a minimally compressed mode the Canon can store 72 images on the SanDisk 128 MB card. I actually filled all my cards with vacation photos! Glad I made the purchase. This card has worked flawlessly for me and the price is very reasonable.

Targus PAPWR300U Ac/dc Notebook Power Adapter

Targus PAPWR300U Ac/dc Notebook Power Adapter
  • Click Here to Find The Right Tip for Your Device
  • Lightest, Most Compact Combination Adapter¿ Weighs Only 11.4 Ounces
  • Works with Today¿S High-Performance Notebooks
  • With Purchase of Additional Targus Tips (Sold Separately), It Also Powers Mobile Phones, PDA/Handhelds, Digital Cameras, Portable CD Players, and Portable DVD Players

This adapter uses interchangable "smart" tips to configure itself for various notebooks. When one of the 5 supplied tips is attached, it will fix the adapter's voltage to a pre-set level. Using a meter, I found the voltages range from 15 to 19.9 depending on the tip used. Here's my point. Just because a tip may "fit" your notebook's DC jack, doesn't mean it's putting out the correct voltage required by your notebook. Make SURE your notebook is on the list this thing directly supports, or DON'T BUY IT. You could damage the adapter, or worse, possibly your notebook. A list of of compatible notebooks is available from the Targus website.

It is much lighter and smaller than my stock AC adapter and gets quite warm after an extended use. This worries me a little, but so far it's still working fine after several months of intermittant use. I'm keeping my fingers crossed I don't have to report a failure problem like others here have.

Buy Targus PAPWR300U Ac/dc Notebook Power Adapter Now

I bought this item for my hp pavilion laptop. On the original package it's writen that it's compatible. However after using it only a couple of months, it suddenly stopped working. I called the company and they told me that it was written wrong on the package. They accepted their mistake but they would not do anything about it! They are still selling this product in the market although the information on the package is wrong! The customer support of this company is useless...Do not trust and buy this item! it's just waste of money!

Read Best Reviews of Targus PAPWR300U Ac/dc Notebook Power Adapter Here

There are a lot of reviews about this product that I think give the wrong idea about this product, particularly ones about compatibility issues. I own an Averatec C3500 tablet PC, and the Averatec website led me to this product as being the only one compatible with my laptop, and this was verified on the Targus website, and I knew well ahead of time that this would be the appropriate AC/DC adapter I would need for my laptop. (of the many tips included, mine uses tip #3)

The thing I like about this device is that it powers my laptop from either an AC outlet (internationally, and by the way--I brought it with me to Thailand, where the voltage was much higher than the US, and it saves you from buying a power converter if your existing power adapter isn't able to accept varying input voltages). It also will let you power your laptop using a car/cigarette DC power source (which comes with it), and with a quick removal of the cigarette lighter extension is the power plug that inserts into the EmPower outlets used by several airlines, especially US carriers. Those adapters usually cost $70 or more, and this has the adapter plus the AC/DC options too. So it's good for travel because of its versatility. While many of the modern aircraft, particularly on international routes (e.g. Singapore Airlines and Thai Air both featured this on their new planes) are upgrading their in-flight power supplies so that you can plug a standard AC plug into the seat instead of the EmPower, at least with this Targus device, you'll be equipped to handle both types of power sources. Plus, on the Targus website, they publish a list of airlines and their aircraft that use the airline power plug that's included with the device, so you can get a rough idea of if you would find this useful.

Yes, this product has its quirks, and mine in fact shorted out on vacation, which I'll admit was disappointing. But as soon as I got home, I contacted Targus, got through to someone very quickly and explained the problem, they gave me an RMA number, I sent it back, and they immediately replaced it for no charge with a brand new, in box, model that works just fine, and there was no hassle or long waits involved. No replacement with a refurbished item or anything--a brand new replacement is what I got, which is more than I can say for some other companies when you need your product replaced.

I would give it five stars but it loses one star for the same reason that a fellow reviewer mentioned...the power cord that goes into the outlet is indeed too short. While it's simply a design flaw, it's an annoying flaw, as the weight of the main power supply (with the blue light--a feature i actually like) is heavy enough that it will yank the plug right out of the wall if you try to extend it, so if you're looking for length in addition to your power supply, you ought to buy an extension cord to go along with this model, as the unit won't give you much range to move it around, as I learned the hard way in some hotel rooms where the nearest plugs were a few feet too far from where I wanted to work on my laptop.

As for the option to power multiple devices (e.g. PDA, cell phone, etc) in addition to your laptop, you CAN with this device, but you need to purchase additional hardware that is not included with this device. I knew this before I bought this because the description of this item on the Targus website makes this pretty clear....there's an outlet where you can plug in another Targus device which will allow you to charge additional electronic items, so look for it online and buy it if this is important for you.

Bottom line: I've seen this being sold at Staples and other stores for over $100, and you can get it here and elsewhere on the internet for around $30, which is a bargain. It's great for travel, it's portable and comes with its own little bag, and if you want a second backup device for whatever reason, this is a great option. If you want to avoid any disappointments, just look on the Targus website and make sure your device is compatible--it's pretty clear what is and what isn't--otherwise, you'll have no one to blame but yourself if you've purchased this item and find that you can't use it. If it's listed as compatible but still doesn't work, contact Targus and they'll send you a replacement, as your item probably doesn't work for some reason. Give it a shot...I did, and I don't regret it.

Want Targus PAPWR300U Ac/dc Notebook Power Adapter Discount?

I purchased this product, but after 3 months of frustrating use wound up throwing it away.

The first problem is that the structural support of the power tips between the laptop plug and the cord plug is the electrical solder! The effect of this is that if you use the adapter on the road where it's subject to a lot of plug and unplug and varying mechanical stress, the solder breaks. You then at best have a tip with an intermittent connection. I replaced the tip twice before giving up and getting another better designed adapter.

The second problem is that when I unplugged the power adapter from the wall, it would cause my laptop (IBM T20) to emergency power off. Unplugged at the laptop plug was fine. I understand this to be an issue between the T20 power system and a surge issue in the adapter.

I replaced this with a Kensington 33197 120W adapter. It looks almost like the same product (same OEM?) except they have stronger power tips. It also didn't have the power-off issue.

I loved the form factor, but the product just didn't work.

Specs looked soooo good. The ultimate answer, 120W, AC/DC, and lightweight and slim, too. Can you spell "too good to be true".

I got one, it died after a couple of months. Before dying, it managed to cause my IBM T41 to abrubptly shut off(!!!!) a few times, which was extremely alarming (I didn't even know laptops do that). It died in the worst moment, midst of a business trip. Targus support replaced it. The one that was shipped blew off immediately as I connected it to the mains outlet! Back into the box, ship back as DOA. Third one is still alive, although it managed to cause my laptop to die abruptly one more time. Ugh.

Build quality is rock bottom, *all* connectors have flimsy contact, and worst, you never know when it's gonna die on you when in fact a power supply should be one of your more reliable pieces of gear.

Avoid like the plague. (17 Jul 2005)

EDIT 29 Sep 2006: The unit has just made a series of loud pop sounds and died. Again. This is unit number three. Did I say "stay away" yet?

It's difficult for this item to stay in stock for a reason. Had one for about 6 months and don't use any other case now. Along with the hand strap makes a good system for presentations.

I expect the price is related to the supply demand curve...the necessity for this product is very focused (must have an iPad 2/3, is most likely a photographer or someone who uses a tripod or some sort of presentation poling apparatus, and has the application that warrants it's use).

I like it because it works well with my Camranger set-up.

I don't like that the plastic lip that keeps the product attached to your ipad began to break after three uses.

The material and appearance of the case if acceptable. Screen guard is good. I haven't tried the HDMI cable yet.

There are a couple of problems with the case: 1. the front camera is not lined up with the hole. 2. the fit gets loose after couple weeks of use so the under flap can't hold the tablet in place. The tablet would always drop down so you are not able to tap on lower side of the screen. I might have to get valcro tapes to hold the under flap in place.

Update 8/28/12: The HDMI cable works great! no problem at all. The use of vlacro tape was effective to hold the under flap in place, so the tablet will not drop down.

I have had multiple different IPad cases. One with rubber roll up cover, ones with slots/steps to hold at different angle, they all slip & don't hold the angle you want.. This one rotates allowing portrait or landscape & allows for two angle options either way. Since its plastic the foot stops have never worn out & I use every day, open/close multiple times. comfortably can keyboard using lowest angle option. May feel like "just plastic, but its held up great! I purchased lime green, it is as clean as day I bought, and I even spilled tomato soup on it, popped IPad out & cleaned in seconds & it saved my IPad I'm sure. The back is "waffled" so it also allows unit to stay cool. i also noted when I had to take case off, there were not "stress marks" even with it being a hard plastic case. The top cover is a more flexible plastic and appears a bit "jeweled". I never expected it to hold up like it has. very satisfied. only thing it doesn't have is the automatically function of "sleep mode" when you shut the cover. you have to shut screen off manually. I like well enough I'm buying another just for color options. I'd love to buy wholesale & sell myself -best cover I've found, and you can't beat the price in comparison to other cases!

Much lower quality than it appears in the picture. It just feels cheap, and unproductive. It fits fine, and the viewing angles are nice. It didn't come with the stylus it advertised either. Overall, disappointing purchase.

I like the different positions the case holds the ipad in and it has saved it a few times from my five year old. However, the plastic is more flexible and thinner than I was hoping for. For the $8 it works great. It clicks in securely.

I own a Boss BR900CD multi-track recorder, and this is the only CompactFlash card that works with it. I tried several other cards, but they didn't work at all in this hardware. Boss suggested looking for this specific make and model right after I had already bought it. It is not just a good deal, it is the only deal, and a very good one.

Cheapest ones that I could find anywhere on the internet and the only ones I could get here fast enough to.

It is low and old, i would have liked to have an 8g, but the high ones are not compatible with my older camera, so i had to settle for this one, and it actually is working out really well.

Wonderful seller. Never had a more positive buying experience in my life! I bought an Emergency Battery Extender for the Amazon Kindle 1. The very next day, my Kindle broke (got stepped on). I immediately went to Amazon's website and bought the latest Kindle 3.

So here I was, with a $20.00 (+s&h!) Gomadic Charger in the mail for a Kindle 1 that no longer existed, and an incompatible (charging adapter wise) Kindle 3 on its way!

I immediately emailed Gomadic Customer Support, explaining the problem and asking how it can be remedied, because otherwise I'd reluctantly have to return the product (they have unconditional 30-day return policy).

To my agreeable surprise, they answered my email within a couple of hours of my sending it to them, and informed me they were sorry to hear of my broken Kindle, and that they had already mailed me the appropriate adapter so I could charge my new Kindle 3, all free of charge.

If that ain't the Rolls-Royce of customer support, I don't know what is.

3M 497AJM 120V Portable Electronic Vacuum Cleaner

3M 497AJM 120V Portable Electronic Vacuum Cleaner
  • Toner/Dust Filter

I do a large portion of my IT work on the road, visiting clients at their offices and homes.

Pros:

These vacuum is part of my mobile tool kit, and works great for this purpose especially considering that all of the attachments, power cord, and hose fit into the upper portion of teh case leaving you with a nice small portable toolbox shaped item.

This vacuum has a surprising amount of suction.

The vacuum was built by 3M for their own people to use and specifically designed to vacuum things such as Toner (which is one of the finest and messy particles that you will run into, you don't want this stuff blowing out the other end of the vacuum!).

This vacuum was also designed from the ground up to be used with sensitive electronics. It contains features to prevent static build up that can take place while vacuuming.

Very good containment of vacuumed material in the disposable filter/collection bin.

CONs:

Be aware that this vacuum is fairly loud. This is not normally an issue, but you wouldnt want to turn it on next to someone taking a nap or talking on the phone. In my case, I have to make sure I really let everyone know around me that I will be using it. I have also used the Metro Datavac Pro 2 and will say that the ONLY thing I like better about that vacuum is that it is quieter than this one.

This is an expensive vacuum, and it does use expensive cartridges. I put this as a CON, however I do feel that the costs is worth the benifit of this great vacuum.

Neither of the CONs is worth a star deduction in my opinion.

If you are mobile with this vacuum, you may also want to carry an extension cord --I have had to use my extension cable about 50% of the time in the field, much better to be prepared for that need than not!

...and I mean that in a positive way. This item was purchased for use in servicing commercial electronic equipment. Works fine so far. Excellent quality hose, the best I've seen. Only question: What's with the photo of clog-like foot apparel? These 'accessories' were not included with my vac, which was, by the way, mercifully simply and economically packaged.

I was skeptical since the last couple different brand vacuums didn't have very good suction. This 3M vacuum has very good suction and is a great kit because all the attachments fit in the case.

Want 3M 497AJM 120V Portable Electronic Vacuum Cleaner Discount?

If you're looking at this, you already know that compressed air just moves dust around. You want something that removes it from your computers and other electronics.

For the past 10 years, I've been using whatever I had around to vacuum PC cases. Small car vacuums, the hose attachment on my Dyson ball, etc. To me, it was hard to justify spending hundreds of dollars on a regular vacuum for my house. So when I saw this product on Amazon, I skipped right past it. ~$200 for a vacuum that I'll only use on electronics?

But the cheaper alternatives on Amazon had pretty bad reviews. So they didn't seem like an improvement over what I was currently doing.

So I took the chance and bought the 3M. When it first arrived, I opened the case and thought "Oh no." I had the vacuum, but no hose, power plug, or attachments. For $200 I shouldn't have to buy these extra!

But it turns out, it's not really advertised in any of the pictures I see posted (so I'll post one of my own after this review), that the lid of the case, when it opens, contains a door that's held shut by a small strip of velcro. You remove the slip, the door opens, and everything's there. This alone is starting to make the $200 worth it for me -the convenience of the design. When closed, the vacuum is basically a closed toolbox with a handle on top. Everything you need is contained in there -nothing can be forgotten, fall out, etc. This makes it great for transporting it in your car, or carrying it around your building. There's actually a little extra room in the top lid so you can stash a philips screwdriver in there too, or any other small items you feel you might need when using this.

I plug it in and start cleaning, and I'm able to get every single bit of dust out of this computer. When using my other makeshift electronic vacuums, they had no problem getting the big chunks of dust that are highly visible and accessible. Vents, edges of the case, etc. were no problem. But they often left behind surface dust, so they still looked dirty. And some areas I couldn't get at all. The attachments you get on car vacuums and floor vacuums are meant to get in the corners of your house and car... but not in the corners of a small case.

But this 3M vacuum has a flexible enough hose and plenty of attachments to not only get the stuff you originally got in there to get, but also all of the surface dust. It makes things look brand new when you're done with them. You can get in-between PCI cards and RAM modules, get the dust within the individual fins of heatsinks, off the blades of fans, etc. If you can see it, you can get it. About the noise... it's about the same as the vacuums I've used before. It's not something I'd use at night when people are sleeping, and the pets still run when I turn it on... but it's about as loud as a vacuum is expected to be and nothing more.

I've only used it once, and that was my experience. Down the road I may update this review as I use it more often but it seems perfect. The only thing I'd change is to make the manual slightly thinner so it fits up in the lid instead of on the top of the white plastic box. It's not like I opened it before I started cleaning or anything, though. You can probably leave that out of the case if it bothers you too much.

Got this vacuum in May 2012. Still sucking with the best of them. And for $200+ for an electronics vacuum I would hope so...

PDair Leather Case for Samsung Focus SGH-i917 - Book Type (Black)

PDair Leather Case for Samsung Focus SGH-i917 - Book TypePDair Leather Case for Samsung Focus SGH-i917 Book Type (Black)

Functional and attractive case. PDair brand is the only one I found incorporating open face w/cover over screen which looked good to me and made for Focus. Belt clip could be longer to fit slightly wider belt.

Very nice case.

The case itself is excellent. All the ports are accessible and you can use 100% of the phone features while it's in the case. I didn't find the cover terribly inconvenient while talking on the phone.

The product comes directly from China, so the variability in delivery time is considerable. If you need a case in three days, try another brand.

My only complaint is the belt clip. The case comes with a detachable belt clip that I have had on several other cases for other phones. The clip is thick adding a solid inch to the profile of the case (total thickness about 1 7/8 inches). Between hitting the phone while walking, and stressing the clip components as I move the phone from hip to back pack to jacket pocket, these kinds of clips fail quickly.

Buy PDair Leather Case for Samsung Focus SGH-i917 - Book Type (Black) Now

I was disappointed in this product. You can't talk on the phone while it is in this case and it is in too tight to pull it out easily to talk. Also, I had no idea the seller was in China when I bought it so it took a lot longer to get here than I had expected. I don't recomment this product.

Had a hard time finding a nice case for my Husbands AT&T Samsung Focus Windows 7 phone. We couldn't find many cases, per say, only the holsters which required him to fully remove the phone to use. This case suited his purposes nicely. It provides easy access to the phone. It attaches to the hip so he no longer has to carry the phone around in his pocket. When it rings he can just grab it fm his hip, flip it open it & answer. Same goes if he needs to send or receive texts. All the ports are accessible through the case too so you really never have to remove the phone. The phone clip swivels so you can wear it both horizontally or vertically. One pain though is that the nice looking cover gets in the way a little while talking on the phone. 1st few times you answer your phone the flap kind of taps you in the face. You kind of either have to hold it open with your finger or let it rest on your forehead. That may ease up after the leather loosens up a bit. My husband really likes the card holders in fact he wouldn't mind 1 or 2 more. Also he says the magnet is nice but it could be a little stronger. He has also voiced concern over the plastic clip holder he feels it should be stronger as well. So far it has held up but he fears it may be the 1st to go. Overall nice case especially since there are so few cases available for this phone. So far we are happy.

SanDisk SDCFB-256-A10 256 MB CompactFlash Card (Retail Package)

SanDisk SDCFB-256-A10 256 MB CompactFlash Card
  • 256 MB CompactFlash
  • Removable data storage system
  • Ultracompact
  • Industry-standard compatibility
  • For use in digital cameras, PDAs, HPCs, personal communicators, and MP3s

How many pictures will it store? It is the most commonly asked question from digital camera enthusiast but usually the question that is the most difficult to get a straight answer about. Well, considering I worked in the memory industry for over 7 years I can help clarify this perplexing question and do so unbiased as I have since changed industries.

The SanDisk SDCFB-256-A10 256MB CompactFlash Card, like most 256MB cards, will store on average 284 pictures when used with a 2 megapixel camera, 213 images when used with a 3 megapixel camera, 128 pictures when used with a 4 megapixel camera, 102 images when used with a 5 megapixel camera, and 80 pictures when used with a 6 megapixel camera. These numbers are based off the assumption that you are going to shoot your images at the highest quality JPEG setting available for the camera and understand that they are estimates and may be off by as much as 10 percent due to numerous factors including the complexity of the scene being shot and the compression algorithm used by your specific camera.

I truly hope this review was helpful to you in determining whether this card is the right capacity for your specific needs.

I recently bought a Canon S40 camera which I love..I also purchased this Sandisk 256MB card to go along wiht it..I have taken as many as 264 pictures( think you can get as many as 500 on it) at 2272X1704 resolution(highest resolution for this camera) and it still was going..I believe you can only get about 30 with the card that comes stock with the camera..If your not to much into the high resolution you can get about 1500 pictures at 640X480 I think...Thats a huge benefit if your traveling and cant download onto a computer for a while. Did a week at Disneyworld with the kids and captured the whole thing on one card...SWEET!!

The Sandisk 256Mb Cf card really delivers 244MB after formatting it in my Canon A80 camera. But this happens to many CF cards, you have to accept that.

I chose a 256MB card since the Canon takes up about 2MB PER Picture on best quality and size settings ( total about 120 odd-pics). Lower quality( picture compression) or pic size gives me much more images. I can record about 700 odd seconds of video on the card @ 320*240 15fps settings. I definitely recommend this card size as one if you plan to buy a 3MP+ camera. Since the price difference is reducing every day, it makes more sense to opt of a 256Mb instead of a 128MB card. FOr 5MP and above, however, a 512MB+ card may be better suited.

The card is very reliable. I've been using it for 3 months+ and have taken 500+ photos on it. However, the speed at which the card writes the image is a bit too slow for my liking ( or maybe its the camera?). Next time i'm going in for a faster card , maybe from the Sandisk ULTRA II series....

Want SanDisk SDCFB-256-A10 256 MB CompactFlash Card (Retail Package) Discount?

I bought a Kodak Easyshare 4300 (3mpx) camera recently and found that it was short of memory. I ahd 16 mb with the camera which was not enough for more than 15 pictures at highest resolution.

But with card I can take around 240 pictures of highest resolution. Ofcourse one might wonder whether you would take so many pictures before you can download them.

If you go for a trip I doubt if you will have access to a computer. Even if you do you need to install teh software on that computer and download them. So if you are going for a skiing trip with your family and would like to capture every moment, you need atleast 128 mb. 128 mb is good but might fall short if you want to take small videos.

So I strongly recommend this card as there is not much difference in the price between 128 mb and 256 mb. Also if your digital camera has the facility of videos then this card is a MUST.

And ofcourse you might wonder if the prices might go down. But you should also count the invaluable moments you can capture and share immediately with all your family and friends. Also I dont think you will get a better deal than this for atleast 6 months. Dont miss the mail in rebate offer from amazon.com

I have two Sandisk 256MB CF cards, and I'm very happy with them. My oldest Sandisk 256MB CF card is about a year old. Between the two of them, I've taken several thousand pictures, and so far neither has given me any problems. My oldest card has proven its reliability in the combination of humid Scandinavian summer weather, a lot of hiking in southern Arizona's blasting heat, and some really cold Colorado winter weather. It has performed exceptionally well under all of these conditions.

Pros:

* Durable and exceptionally reliable Sandisk does without a doubt have the most reliable CF cards on the market.

* This card is due to its reliability and price, without a doubt the best value for money of any CF card on the market today.

Cons:

* Molasses in winter pretty much describes the speed of this card. Seriously though, tests show that unless you're transferring files to your computer via a USB 2.0 interface, the read/write speed between the camera and the CF card does not nearly exploit the potential of any good card. There might be a 20-30% difference between a fast and a slow card when it comes to in-camera read/writes.

This card is extremely reliable, and looking at reliability+price (you can get really good deals on this card) vs. speed, I'd say this is the best value for money of any CF card on the market today. I give it an unconditional 5 stars!!!

myGear Products Anti-Microbial Screen Protector Film for iPad Mini - (2 Pack) Anti-Microbial

myGear Products Anti-Microbial Screen Protector Film for iPad Mini - Anti-Microbial
  • Prevents germs and other microbes from lingering
  • Precise cut for best fit and easy installation
  • Scratch and scuff resistant
  • Static cling adhesion: Will not leave sticky residue when removed
  • Includes: 2 high quality iPad Mini screen protectors, squeegee, and cleaning cloth

I purchased this screen protector as an alternative to the significantly more expensive Power Support HD Anti-Glare film, which I understand is produced in Japan and may be subject to delays due to the situation there.

For the money, its a pretty good deal: two films for $15. Installation is pretty easy, and I was able to squeegee out any bubbles successfully with a credit card. Note that my envelope did NOT include the advertised squeegee in the package.

Functionally the film leaves something to be desired. My screen is definitely protected at least the portions that are covered. It is short by 1-3 mm at all of the edges I realize this seems small, but it ends up being a surprising amount of uncovered real estate. Given how early I purchased my iPad 2 it is likely that the film I received was an early production run and later runs will fit better I'll leave that to another reviewer.

Glare from the sun or lighting is definitely reduced, but at the expense of screen clarity. The textured film, which reduces glare, also creates a tremendous amount of noise on the screen itself, such that it is sometimes painful to read documents for long periods of time. It is functional don't get me wrong but you definitely notice it, even after several days.

The film also collects fingerprints much more aggressively than the naked screen does, in fact. Because of the texture it is also somewhat difficult to clean I have had to use my heavier microfiber cloths and a bit of moisture to remove oil left from even recently washed hands.

Overall I have to say that if you get what you pay for then the myGear film is a deal it does protect, and it does reduce glare, but the tradeoffs on screen clarity and finger smudges are expensive ones.

Right after I applied this protector on my iPad, I noticed that the screen looked so blur.

It totally ruined one of the great features of iPad, so I removed it immediately.

I guess if you use your iPad mostly outside under direct sunlight, this might work.

But if you use it indoor, it is just waste of money.
