I was very excited to get such a pretty case but pretty isn't going to protect my 13'' MacBook Pro. One of the sides never could snap on which made the front of the case always fall off in my bag or in class. My charger wouldn't fit around the case well with my Ethernet cable which I need because campus wifi sucks! I tried taking the bottom off and with one pull, it snap and broke. I wish I would have just paid an extra $20 on Apple to get a REAL case.

I had bought the Moshi Concerti for iPad 3 and was VERY satisfied. When I saw one for sale, I bought it for my wife's iPad 2. It's a different design that the one for iPad 3. The major problem is the rubber that goes around the iPad to hold the cover. It is much narrower than the one for the iPad 3 and keeps going off. Except for that problem, it is is good qualitu.

It is a good product but overpriced. Most manufacturers today provide universal voltage (115-240 VAC) power adaptors for which you can buy an inexpensive adaptor to convert the american type prongs to the overseas one. Palm, instead, provides the adaptor for 115 VAC only for the Z22 model. In that way, they force you to buy the one they make for international travel.

We were a bit hesitant at first to order this item, since the Amazon search had a typo in the search results where it was listed as "Nintendo DSi Wall Charger" and then the game system in bold on the right side was listed as "Nintendo Wii". It only worked once, then stopped working at all. It seems like the plug has a very loose fit and no matter what I do, I cant get it to charge my sons DSi-XL.

While trying to get the charger to work, it began to smoke from within the plug-in component itself!! I quickly unplugged it to prevent fire. In looking over the labels on the casing self, there are no UL or CE marks on the device which means its never been tested, and is NOT compliant with any safety regulation. I've had my IPAQ for several months now and am extremely satisfied with it. Over that time I've learned a few things that might be helpful to to other users, so rather than write another general review, I thought I would post a few suggestions on this, especially for those that may be making the transition from the Palm platform to the iPAQ, (as I did).

The iPAQ saves individual Notes that you make in the sub-directory where you create them in the Notes app area. This results in them initially having a name such as "Work1, Work2, etc. (i.e., if you have a Note directory called Work). This is not very helpful so you have to rename them by doing a "tap and hold" on the file name, and giving it the new name. Otherwise you end of with lots of Notes with non-descript names with numbers at the end. Not too helpful.

For better power management, watch the screen brightness setting which you set from the Settings menu. You can also hit the "Q" button and pop up the Q menu and get to it from there. A lot of times you can reduce the backlight setting and save power and extend battery life. Otherwise running it at the highest intensity you'll only have about 3 hours. Also, in direct sunlight, where the iPAQ works great but the Palm and Casio units wash out totally, you can set it on "power save" mode

If you use the digital recorder function, be careful what you have the settings here. The iPAQ will record anywhere from 8,000 Hz, Mono, 2KB/sec, to 44,100 Hz, 16-bit, stereo, 172 KB/sec. You'll find that even the 22,050 Hz, stereo settings will cause even short notes to take up 300K of space. After a few of these you're out of memory and you'll wonder why. The default setting of 8-bit mono is okay so I just leave it there.

This setting is also hard to find and can be found under Settings\Personal\Input\Options.

I've found my iPAQ to be the best of the Pocket PCs out there. Hope these suggestions help.

You have heard by now that a new class of handhelds the PocketPCs have hit the market and selling like hotcakes. You have probably even decided that you would rather go with a PocketPC than a Palm because you use Windows at work and home and feel happy with MSWord, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and the whole kit-n-kaboodle. What you cannot decide is which one of these to buy they all rate so high! Well, for good reason. Faster processors and simpler WindowsCE system are making these eminently powerful and useful.

Price: Cassiopeia E-115 and Jornada 548 are both ~ $600 (if you go for the 16 M RAM, the price drops, but I don't recommend it). iPAQs are cheaper at ~ $500.

Processors: Cassiopeia (MIPS) and Jornada (SH3) processors are about the same speed (131 MHz) but Cassiopeia is a 64 bit processor. iPAQ has a StrongArm processor running at 206 MHz and noticeably faster.

Expandability: Cassiopeia comes with a Type II Compact Flash slot. This means you can put any compact flash cards out there, including the snazzy 1 inch IBM-microdrives that store upto 340 MB of data. Jornada comes with a Type I slot which means it cannot accomodate type II cards or the IBM-drive. iPAQ needs to add an expansion "jacket" to allow any cards. It is an innovative design that allows the main unit to be smaller but you have to carry more components if you want to lug around more data or music.

Display: Only Cassiopeia has a true 16 bit display (65000 colors). iPAQ and Jornada are both 12 bit (1000 colors). Can you make out the difference mostly not, unless you are looking at photographs.

Size: Cassiopeia is bulky and comes in at 9 oz. It does not have a hard top so it needs to be carried in a soft case that comes along. Jornada unit is about as bulky as Cassiopeia, but it comes with a hard top so the total package (unit and case) is definitely less bulky. iPAQ wins hands down with a Palm like form factor.

Bottom Line: If you need dislay, multimedia capabilities and expandability buy a Cassiopeia. Looking for a sleeker option with decent built-in expansion options buy a Jornada. You need speed and sleek look not farther than an iPAQ (remeber you need a separate jacket at times).

For those of you are trying to find this very hard to get PDA, Keep in mind that the H3650 and H3630 are the same device. The H3630 model is sent to direct re-salers (i.e. Best Buy, Circuit City, Comp USA, etc), and the H3650 is sent to the online retailers. However, I've noticed on-line that you will see both. I've called compaq to confirm this. Good luck, and good shopping! I've been sold!

NOTICE: The IPAQ does not support "Open Host Control" USB.

To check this out right click mycomputer->properties->Device Manager, then look under the USB icon.

If you have that kind of USB you will not be able to sync with the IPAQ through usb. I have been syncing with a serial since and it is terrible. It takes approximately 30 min. to sync an mp3, and at least 20 min. to sync avantgo. If you have an open host controller USB I would not advise getting the IPAQ.

Overall, I have to say that I am very happy with my IPAQ since I can sync at work with a USB.

I have owned the palm IIIc and the Handspring Prism. First the Prism, simply, not worth the money. The only advantage of the prism over the IIIc is the expansion port but the components are so expensive that it isn't worth it. So given the choice I would choose the IIIc over the prism. The screens for all intents and purposes are equal and you will not be able to tell the difference most of the time. My primary reason for getting the IPAQ over any palm type device would be the unit's speaker. I purchased all of my pda's to make sure that I am on schedule but the palm type devices don't have a loud enough speaker to warn me of a meeting. The IPAQ is loud, extremely loud. I also found the palm type devices to be somewhat limiting. In approximately one day you will know the entire machine and you will also know that, that is about all you can do with it. However, on the other had the IPAQ is way more complicated to use and to set up but I feel that if there is something unique that I need to do it will be able to do it.

Before buying the IPAQ I read many reviews and many of them said that Compaq's service was terrible. I must say that I do not agree. As a matter of fact I found there service to be A++ and the operators to be extremely polite and patient.

Also DO NOT buy this unit to play mp3's. It will be maxed out in about 4 standard mp3's because the IPAQ allocates part of it's memory for running programs so in reality you only have about 14 mgs of space to work with for your files. Also don't plan on upgrading the memory for the ipaq since the 64 meg cards cost $310 + $50 (prices from Compaq) for the expansion jacket.

One more note about the available software. There is not as much available software for the IPAQ (or any other PocketPc) as for the Palm devices. So if you want to do something highly specialized plan on spending more money after you get your pocketpc.

I know that I gave alot of cons and little if any pros, eventhough I said I was happy with my unit. I did this primarly because when you are spending [this much] on anything, the cons are way more important.

I've had the Palm V for about a year before I was able to buy this Ipaq 3650. The Ipaq is really awesome! Compared to the Palm V, here are some of the positive and negative sides:

Positive:

-This beats the Palm in almost every way possible. Clear and bright screen that is perfectly viewable in sunlight. Not to mention that it's also crisp color as well. The brightness is totally adjustable and there's even a sensor that you can set so it will automatically adjust the brightness accordingly. Very cool.

-The hotsync speed blows away the Palm. What's also very nice is that it can dynamically sync with your Outlook mail, contacts, calendar, notes, etc. If you have the Ipaq already connected in the cradle and you're sorting and deleting your email on your desktop, the Ipaq will instaneously synchronize every delete/add that you make on your desktop. With the Palm, you have to press the hotsync button everytime or schedule a hotsync. With the Ipaq, you just plug it in and forget about it.

-The integrated Windows Media Player is awesome. It's basically an integrated Mp3 player that can play any mp3. You now have music on the go and plus you can plug in headphones to your Ipaq, and listen to your music at work.

-You can also record with the built-in microphone your voice or voice reminders

-Everything with Outlook Contacts, Emails, Calendar appears the exact same way as it does on your Ipaq.

-Very accurate Handwriting recognition. One of the best selling points for the Apple PDA is now available for the Ipaq. Same technology and accuracy that the Newtons run on.

-With the Palm V, you're limited to the amount of memory you can store of only 2MB or 8MB if you have the Vx. With the Compact Flash Card, you can store up to whatever your compact flash can hold. Currently, it's at 1GB. That's a lot of mp3s.

-Overall, it looks very cool (Matrix silver) and it's the fastest and most top of the line PocketPC you can buy out there on the market. And because it's so hard to get, it just raises the cool factor even higher. =)



Some of the negative sides

-Doesn't come with a serial cable. So people running NT have to purchase this cable separately.

-Size. It is a little bulkier than the sleek Palm V, but it still fits in my pocket and I can carry it in my bag.

-Accessories are hard to find and anything related to this item (including the Ipaq itself) is hard to find. Too bad a hard cover case isn't available yet for this. I'm still looking btw.

-Software. There's much more third party software out there available for Palm than there is for PocketPC. Go figure...Palm owns 70% marketshare for PDAs. This will slowly change.



Overall...the Ipaq is very nice. If you can afford one and find one available, I really suggest this as a very good strong buy.

Its a good case for the Lenovo, it fits and everything but there is no hole for the power cable to recharge the tablet. In order to recharge the tablet you have to remove it from the case. I've flipped it and everything but cannot get the power hole to line up with a slot in the case.

Lets face it, with something like this you get what you pay for. I didn't see the point in spending $20-$30 on a stylus because like pens, I tend to lose them. The price point was acceptable especially because it came with 2 of them. That said... the pen part of the stylus is a piece of junk.

The silver point where the head of the pen comes out has already popped out on one of my pens so I can't even use it anymore and they don't just screw back in. It uses a compression band on the inside of the shaft to hold that tip on and it has proven impossible for me to get it back together.

That said, at $5 or so... yeah, I'd buy the piece of crap again because while it works, it works and when it doesn't I've got a backup. ...both of which look professional and stylish. When it falls apart on me, I have spare ink cartridges for my quality Cross pens.

The pen writes OK, and the stylus part is replacable that's a tremendous plus.

Eventually that little rubber tip will break and you'd be stuck if it weren't.

Unfortunately the spring in the pen is badly designed and when I was taking the pen apart for this review it got twisted up and broke preventing either it's removal or replacement of the ink.

I'll contact the manufacturer and post their response here when I get it. Everyone can get a lemon once in a while what the seller does to fix the lemon is often more important than the fact that you got one.

UPDATE!!!! Seller sent me not one, but two replacement pens so he could replace the correct color one. He did this free of charge and INSTANTLY!!! this is an A+++ seller and he deserves your business.

Sometimes you get a dud, but when your vendor corrects this at his own expense without question, that seller deserves high praise!

this is a great combo. I bought the pack so i would have one at home, one in my folio with my ipad...just have to figure out how to keep it out of the hands of the kids!

This now-discontinued Dell Axim has several positive features. The only negative is that there's no slot available for a SIM card (the tiny card that you get from mobile phone carriers like T-Mobile). The positives are a fantastically gorgeous screen, a painless set-up procedure, and an intuitive interface the buttons are where you expect to find them, and reassigning buttons for my own business needs was a snap.

The device should work on open wi-fi networks; if your city or public library system has free wi-fi, then you should be able to use the Dell Axim if you're inside the range of a free wi-fi network. I say ** should work ** because my experience was hit and miss with this feature my AT&T/Starbucks wi-fi account doesn't work with this device, but the same logon name and password work just fine with every other mobile device that I have ever owned.

There is no slide-out keyboard but the on-screen keyboard feature is manageable.

My own use for this device is for managing product inventory with a program that was custom-built for a specific industry. I really do recommend this product for business use you might want to order one and see if it meets your needs before investing in a whole bunch of them. Also, since this is a long-discontinued product line, expect that you will be on your own when it comes to tech support, no matter who you buy from.

it is a nice little device, but I cannot get it to connect to my home wireless router since it seems to only have older security settings.

I was expecting to be able to download some aps and add some other things to this, but so far it has been disappointment due to having connection issues at home. I have not tried in free wifi environment.

I was able to purchase a wired LAN card that plugs into the device slot, but I do not yet have it operating since I need to get software drivers for the card [from the web].

This portable scanner is amazing. I have a huge collection of magazine clippings that I've kept in a binder for years. My plan was to scan each page, but it was taking forever on my flatbed and I burned myself out, so I stopped. Since I've gotten this scanner, I've pulled them out again. In a day and a half, I've scanned over 400 items. I am halfway done and it feels great. It literally takes three seconds to scan a full page. You press the scan button, run it down the page, and then press it again. The file saves on your SD card. From there, you can insert the SD card into your computer to rip the images off or plug the scanner into your USB port directly. You cannot scan and view while the scanner is plugged into your computer, but I didn't find this troublesome at all. I simply scanned a huge chunk of paper and then plugged the scanner into my computer. Every image I scanned looks great. As of yet, none of the scans have come out blurry.

The software that comes with the VuPoint is called Abby FineReader, but I haven't used it much. Instead, I open the scans in Photoshop, crop, and save. It's very easy and the images look amazing. You can create a low or high quality scan, but even with the low quality scan, the images look pretty good. I believe you can save the scans in the Abby FineReader program as Microsoft Word docs, jpegs, or pdfs.

If you're one of those people that holds onto a lot of paper and desperately wants to get rid of it, then this scanner was made for you.

I needed something to help me tackle the stacks of receipts spread throughout my house. This little scanner does the trick! I can quickly scan the receipts onto this wand, then plug it into my Macbook. The Image Capture app pops up and copies the files to my Desktop, where I can then sort them into appropriate folders. The version of the VuPoint Wand scanner I received (PDSST415VPS, see update below) saves the images directly to PDF files. If I have two (or more) scans that I want to combine into one, I just double-click the first page (to open it in Preview), turn on the "thumbnails preview" (on the View menu), then drag the second PDF file ON TOP OF the first page thumbnail. Preview will then merge the two PDF files together into one.

+ The scan quality is quite good, even on the "low" setting, however you need to have a steady hand to avoid slants and gaps in the scans. If you need to scan an important legal document, you may want to consider using a traditional flatbed scanner instead. But for quick, every day scans like receipts, recipes, magazine articles, cards, etc, this scanner does an amazing job.

CONs

Every time you turn the scanner off, it defaults to the JPG file format and "low" scan quality. I really wish it would save the preferences between power cycles.

The package seems to include an OCR converter program which is NOT compatible with the Mac

UPDATE: Thanks to Wayne in the comments for pointing this out: apparently the model I received has an "S" at the end of it (PDSST415VPS), which the manufacturer's website indicates can scan to PDFs. The model listed on this page (PDSST415VP) only scans to JPG. I'm guessing this model is discontinued and superseded by the PDF-capable model, but there's no guarantee that you'll receive the newer model.

This an incredibly powerful little product. It is extremely easy to use and the quality of the copies is excellent in black and white as well as in color.

It comes very handy when you need to copy legal documents and a copier is not available. The quality of the copy can be verified immediately if a laptop is available as well.

It works great when copying small portions (such as tables, graphs, pictures or cartoons)from very large books,that don't fit on top of a copier.

When making scans of smaller books, or when the text is too close to the edge of the page, it is a good idea to slip a cardboard cover (from a binder for example) under the page, in order to give firm support to the rollers beyond the edge of the page.

I would recommend purchasing the optional hard case and a memory chip, since it has no buil-in memory.

The ability to scan to an SDHC card without using a computer is handy (another alternative would be to take a photo of the document or photo with a digital camera). I used it to scan the folks' photo albums.

On the ST415-VPS model (not on the ST415-VP model), the resolution of 900dpi (maximum) is very good (higher than the -VP model and the 600dpi Wolverine mentioned below), and also PDF file output is supported. I purchased the -VPS model at Staples and the one sold here on Amazon might be the -VP model.

Cons:

* Since there are rollers on only one edge of the scanner, the "bumps" on the other edge tend to move whatever you're scanning when the bumps hit the edge of the paper (see image attached). A similar model, the Wolverine PASS200 Handheld Portable Documents, Books and Photo Scanner (apparently manufactured by the same company) has rollers on both the leading and trailing edges.

* There is about 1" of dead space on each side of the scanner that is not scanned, which may be an issue when scanning a page from a book, i.e. if the left margin is less than an inch.

* Disposable Alkaline batteries are supposedly required; I used NiMH rechargeables and they worked OK but were drained after about 100 scans.

* There is no crop feature (even if the background is entirely white or black), so the resulting scanned image is always 8.5" wide, requiring use of computer software to crop them down to the desired size (say 4x6").

* Scanned photos were always a tad crooked (compared to a flat-bed scanner), also requiring computer software to rotate them into position if desired. Despite the single-roller design, I experienced less Fun-House-Mirror type distortion using this scanner compared to the Wolverine PASS200 Handheld Portable Documents, Books and Photo Scanner

* The JPG files that were output had about 2KB of extra padding at the end of each file, confusing and locking up some photo viewer programs.

* The resolution is not remembered across power-cycles, so must be reconfigured each time the unit is powered on (unless you always want to scan at the lowest resolution).

"3) Hard case and SD card are available separately. Hard case is over $20." -Do tablets (iPad, for example) come with cases? No, so what's the gripe? It comes with a perfectly suitable soft case in which my wife carries the scanner in her purse for scanning "at site" as needed.

"4) One must practice getting one's arm and scanning speed calibrated takes practice if you want a good end result. No automatic feeder." -That's what is to be expected with this kind of device. It doesn't claim to be a flatbed and it is rather obvious that it is does not have an automatic feeder!

"5) Try to set the date and time on this thing...go ahead, I'll wait." -I did it the first try and I don't claim to be a Sci-fi Guy.

"6) Comes with useless software that isn't needed to view or do anything with the unit." -Buy a laptop or desktop computer and see how much bloatware comes with it. If one doesn't want to use the included software, don't install it!

"For what it's MEANT to do (i.e. relieve you of over $80 and infuriate you) it does passably well. Oh, and there's the scan to JPG thing. You are better off applying the purchase price toward a flatbed scanner." -It is MEANT to compliment a flatbed scanner not to replace one. It does more than "passably well" if one takes the time to learn to use it for documentation of items that either won't fit a flatbed or don't need the quality. I.e., don't expect it to do what a flatbed will do. Its intended purpose is to make it easy to scan receipts, newspaper or magazine articles, etc. My wife uses it for those purposes. I use it on packages of items we purchase to scan UPC codes, serial numbers, and to document other "needed" sections that are not suitable for scanning on a flatbed (and formerly documented using a digital camera). It is certainly useful on trips when it is out of the question to tote a flatbed scanner around.

The other reviews (as of this date) are much more "on point" and evidence realistic expectations of what this scanner is intended to do and, in general, reflect the experience we've had with ours.

Scanning works well but download a new copy of manual as there are faults in printed version like how to delete a favourite chanel (one misnamed button drove me mad till looked i n downloaded manual and was fixed)

Pity they didn't make a loop attachment if you don't use belt clip. You need to slide in belt clip to have any attachment point for a loop.

Wasn't quite as expected--supposedly meant to fit Tungsten T2 and E2 but I found it a trifle over-sized for my Palm device which rattled around a bit. It would be better for a thicker PDA or smartphone like a Treo I think.

This adapter does a fine job of charging. However, once the battery was fully charged, it would not keep it fully charged while on a/c power. The battery would slowly discharge. If you shut down the PC and left the adpater attached, it would re-charge again until it reached 100%. Then it would discharge again.

I bought a replacement adapter from Toshiba. It cost more, but it would charge the battery and stay charged when left on a/c power.

In fairness, it is possible that the PA3165U-1ACA Equivalent I was shipped could have been defective from the manuafacturer. I declined an exchange of adapaters. I just did not want the hassle of being shipped another one again and experiencing disappointment.

Purchased the item on February 5, 2010 and it failed on March 27, 2010. This of course was after the Amazon return window had expired. Amazon said to contact Battery-Biz, Inc regarding the advertised "full year warrantee." Battery-Biz denies warrantee on the item. Do not trust Amazon.com claims of warrantees on their web site, even if Amazon.com, LLC provides the item, their vendors do not stand behind the product.

Recommend that you purchase items such as these from other sources than Amazon.com.

I bought my Toshiba Satellite from my computer guy who used it as his personal laptop. A couple months after owning it, the power cord died so I logged onto the Toshiba website to figure out how much a new one would cost. Over $100 dollars! That's pretty ridiculous...especially because I was unemployed at the time so I just ended up using my brother's computer for the next 6 months or so. They got pretty tired of that so I looked on the Toshiba website again, still 100 dollars, and then decided to check out if Amazon had any. Sure enough, a store that specialized in batteries came up and it was half the price Toshiba wanted. This was my first PDA purchase and after much soul searching I settled for the Windows Mobile PC platform. I am certain that I made the right choice despite the comments by those who believe that Windows Mobile has a long way to go aginst Palm OS.

The choice fell between Toshiba e355 and iPaq 1935 both selling for $ 199.00. I opted for Toshiba e355 since iPaq was offering a measly 90 day warranty! Granted iPaq 1935 is perhaps more compact and smaller than Toshiba e355 but the performance of Toshiba rocks and I have no regrets. Both my PDA and Windows Mobile 2003 have worked flawlessly and has been very stable till now!

I do not know why everyone is complaining of absence of CF card slot when price differential between CF card and SD card has narrowed considerably. I got a SanDisk 256 Mb SD card for 59.00 after rebates only slightly more expensive compared to comparable CF Cards!

What can I say about Toshiba e355? Performance is impeccable. Very stable and so far reliable. I have added a few software, FlexWallet and ACDSee Mobile and both work flawlessly! I have transferred my address book from Outlook and few other data including several photo images from my desktop using Active Sync and everything is working well.

The only complaint I have is about the non removable battery. However I am fairly certain that in about three years time, I will be upgrading this PDA and I am not overly concerned about the battery replacement issue!

I have no hesitation in recommending Toshiba e355 to those who are looking for a base level PDA but do not intend to carry it in their shirt pockets (iPaq 1935 is more appropriate!)

I am a high school teacher. I wanted something to take notes on and to remind me when homework was due. I searched far and wide reading review after review. I got alot more than that with the e355. I have been using it for about 3.5 months now.

I'll just list the Pros and Cons becasue i could go on all day!

Pros:

1. Great speed.

2. Works right out of the box.

3. Excellent battery life (3.5 to 4hrs continuous running)

4. Crisp display. (especially for video playback)

5. Smooth buttons that feel pretty nice on your fingers.

6. Good price for the quality you get

7. The speakers on this player play audio in the best way i have heard for a small speaker unit. You would not believe that a pda could do so well with sound. It plays my mp3s, wma, anything and don't forget the videos.

8. It has a SD card slot so you can expand the memory at any time. the SD card slot has a dummy card that protects it from being damaged by dust or other particles.

9. Quick charge time. Good size storage built in, 64mb.

10. Windows Mobile 2003 is much much much more stable than its predeccessor.

11. It's much much much thinner than many other pda's i have reviewed.

12. It's much more resiliant to 'falls to the floor' than the Dell or Ipaqs for example. I'm a teacher. I can guarantee you...running around the class will lead to a fall on the ground. It has a metallic covering. (no shaking inside!)

Cons.

1. Sometimes if you use up close to 90% of the memory, it stalls.

2. The 'record audio' button is placed near the top so sometimes taking it out you may mistakedly begin recording. (this can be disabled though so it is not really a con)

3. It does not include the ability to 'go wireless' for internet. You can still access the internet though but you need to be connected to your computer. I did not need wireless internet just yet. When it does become ubiquitous...maybe then i'll go for something else.

4. The battery is not removeable. By the time this actually becomes a problem I'll be getting a new pda..about 2 to 3 years from now.

THis is an excellent PDA is you do not need wireless internet access right away.

I would recommend it with all authority people out there.

I had been using this device for 2 days, and started feeling better everytime I open it..It has excellent screen, Power Management functionality and built in Bluetooth compatible SD card and more...

Pros :

1. Great features at cheaper price

3. Excellent multimedia operation

4. Easy to use, even IR-ports

5. Almost weightless

Cons:

1. Does not have removable battery.

2. Does not have CF card slot.

This can't get any better, and let me tell you, this Toshiba PDA eats Palm PDAs for breakfast. Compare prices & performance and you'll see what I mean.

Ok, like anything it depends on your needs. But, for my needs, the E355 meets and exceeds my needs. No need to rate it significantly lower because it doesn't have a removable battery or because it only has a SD slot and no CF. Instead, I realized this before I bought it, considered these features along with the price which was ... cheaper here, and decided it was worth it.

I've had the E355 for about 3 weeks and had recently purchased a used Cassiopeia E-125 and was very happy with that purchase as well. The reason I upgraded was because a friend of mine wanted the E-125 at the price I purchased it for and I was convinced that for ... more, I could get a faster PPC with more memory, smaller size, and upgraded OS.

Now, the reason I didn't give it 5 stars is you get what you pay for. For the money, this is the best deal if you consider the reasons I mentioned previously. If I was getting a removable battery and a CF slot in addition to the SD slot, and was paying the same price, I'd rate it 5 stars. But, I'm not getting that.

On a message board, I seen someone say that it would better to purchase the Dell Axim X5 (Basic) for the same price. But, the X5 Basic only has 32MB of RAM. You would need to purchase the more expensive X5 Advanced to get the same amount of RAM. Not to mention at the time, X5 users were upset about the slow speed of their OS or processors and Dell is now sending out CDs with a fix.
