Did exactly as it was suppose to do, hide cables from cabinet up to drop ceiling running up a corner.

When you need to hide wires going upward in the corner of a room ; there could not be anything much better than this conduit! It is made very well with self attaching sticky tape that definitely adheres it to the point that you would have to literally tear the sheet-rock up to take it back down!

Just make sure it is aligned properly before you allow any of the self adhering tape to touch the wall! It really looks great! Like it was meant to be that way to whole time! The cap is a little hard to get snapped in , but isn't that what we want , so that it will not come out easily?

It is paintable , but we decided it looked good without painting it! All 5 stars! Better quality that the pvc conduit that we can buy locally here from the major home improvement centers without mentioning their names!

I came up a little short as I did not buy enough of it and we bought some locally to try to finish with , and it was higher in price and did not have any sticky tape on it by design! So that means not only did we have to pay more locally for cheaper in quality conduit , but now we also have to buy a roll of the expensive two sided adhering tape!

All my fault , but next time I will buy it all through this company using Amazon!

I've owned a graphite Visor deluxe for three months now -it may very well be the most incredible piece of electronics I've ever owned, and that's saying a lot!

The 8MB of RAM is a gracious plenty. I've loaded mine up pretty heavily, with several e-books, a few AvantGo channels, a class manager for all of my undergrad courses, lots of appointments and contacts, and of course some games! Still, I have over 5MB free!

The Palm OS is far superior to Windows CE, and the Handspring version (OS 3.1H) has been tweaked by the wizards at Handspring. The Visor is over 50% faster than the Palm III, and 20% faster than the quickest Palm, the Vx.

On HotSync speed, the Visor again beats the Palm. The USB cradle HotSyncs *very* quickly.

And, you can't beat the price! For $250, you get more RAM, faster processing, and quicker syncing than the Palm! Plus, you get the expandability of the Springboard slot. Although there aren't a lot of modules out right now, there are quite a few in development. (Personally, I only have the 8MB backup module, which is great -I'm eagerly waiting for the InnoGear SixPak.)

My only complaint was that my Visor Deluxe came with a plastic stylus that was way too chintzy to use, and I purchased an upgraded metal stylus, which is great. Now, however, I hear that all Visors are shipping with metal styli. I guess sometimes the early birds don't always get the worms -or the good styli.

I also recommend that all Visor owners use a screen protector -WriteRights are available at CompUSA, or you can make your own out of clear laminate. The screens do scratch fairly easily, and the protectors are so cheap and easy to install, it's well worth it. Plus, I find the plastic laminate easier to write on than the bare Visor screen -feels more like paper.

All in all, the Visors are wonderful -buy one right now! You won't be sorry!

I got my Visor Deluxe last month and I love it.

If you are considering buying a Visor Deluxe, I'm sure you are deciding between this Visor and PalmIIIxe, because they have similar feature, spac, and they both have the same price.

AT the same time I bought my Visor, my roommate bought a PalmIIIxe (and he also loves his Palm very much). So i'll give you the differences between these 2 PDAs, and let you decide which one you like better.

I'll start with How Visor is better.

-Visor has expansion module, which means alot, you can add many many feature afterward, you can make your Visor am MP3 player too! And you can also easily add more memory to your Visor, while for PalmIIIxe, you can only add 2MB flashcard.

-Visor is a bit lighter than PalmIIIxe (5.4oz Vs 6.0 Oz, not a lot of difference though)

-When you buy a leather case for your Visor, you dont have to stick a valcro to the back of your PDA like you have to for Palm. (Palm need a Valcro to hold it to the case, while for Visor, there's a plastic holder attach to the back of the leather case, so you can jsut put your Visor securely in there)

-Visor comes with a fast USB cradle while Palm comes with slow serial cradle, so if you buy palm and want a fast synconizing, you'll need to buy a USB cradle separatly for about ($).

-Visor comes with a good quiality stylus, it has solid feel of metal, and if you open it up, there's a little screw driver and a reset pin inside. Palm comes with a piece of plactic stylus, my roomate had to buy a new stylus for about ($)

-And another important nice thing about Visor is, you have 4 cool colors to choose from (5 colors if you include this boring graphite color) If you are getting Visor as a gift to a college students or someone young, they'll love the colors.

Ok, now to what's better about PalmIIIxe

-PalmOS on Palm is upgradable, while Visor user will stuck with PalmOS version 3.1 for the rest of the VIsor's life. However, this is not a problem as it may sounds. most version of PalmOS's are essentially the same thing.

-PalmIIIxe has better display than Visor. Palm has 4bits display, while Visor deluxe has only 2bits. This means that, for Palm, u'll be able to display 16 level of grey-scale, while for Visor, you can only display 4 levels of grey-scale.

So, that's about it for the little comparison chart I made. Other tings about these 2 PDAss are the same, they use same processor, and dimension is the same. (Visor is slightly thicker, and Palm is slightly wider)

As a recommendation if you r going to buy Visor Deluxe, get one of the cool color, don't get this graphite one, unless you are a businessman, and want a more sophiticate looking device. Otherwise, other 4 colors are way cooler, (mine's orange)

If you have more cash to burn, then I recommend you getting either PalmVx or Visor Platinum, they are a little bit more expensive. However, I've never used them so I will not write any comments about them.

Recently, I've been thinking about getting something to help me keep track of all the names, telephone numbers, email addresses of all of my personal and business contacts. I also needed something to help me keep track of important dates and events. (Basically, I needed something to organize my life.) When I took a quick look at the market, I realized that there are many many available choices. In fact, there were so many that I was initially confused by all the options.

I ended up asking my friends for advice and here's what they told me (not verbatim): Palm Pilots ROCK! Don't even think about buying one of those pocket PCs because they eat up batteries like crazy.

After that helpful discussion, I decided to get a Palm Vx. It looked pretty and had enough memory for anything I wanted to do. So, I drifted over to Amazon.com and started adding a Palm Vx to my shopping cart when I noticed that there was an alternative to Palm Pilots.

Handspring. They're made by the people who developed Palm Pilots and they're based on the Palm III series. The reason why I stopped myself from buying the Palm Vx and took the time to look at Handspring was because of the rave reviews they've been getting.

In short, the Handspring Visor Deluxe is faster and has the same amount of memory as a Palm Vx (8 MB). It is also about $150 cheaper. In comparison to a Palm V, the Handspring Visor Deluxe is faster and has 4 times more memory for the same price. Since the Visor uses a tweaked version of the Palm OS, it is still compatible with all those programs you want on a Palm Pilot. What really changed my mind and moved me to buy the Visor Deluxe instead of a Palm Vx was the expansion port for Springboard modules.

What's a Springboard module? Well, they're these cool gadgets that you plug into the back of your Visor (similar to putting a Gameboy cartridge into a Gameboy). They barely increase the dimensions of a Visor at all (unlike the add-ons for Palm Pilots). I ended up buying the eyemodule Springboard module with my Visor Deluxe. IT IS SOOOO COOL! I can take pictures with my Visor (which is great for candids).

Anyway, the bottom line is, unless you're dying for the sleek look of a Palm Vx, get a Handspring. The Visor Deluxe is faster and has better options for a similarly priced Palm Pilot.

I have looked at every PDA on the market and the Handspring Visor Deluxe is the best value in a PDA out there. While you can get the regular Visor model with only 2 megs of RAM for about $170, the extra 6 megs is well worth the Visor Deluxe's higher purchase price of $250.

So reach down deep, scrape up the extra green stuff, and go for the big VD! (Visor Deluxe). You'll be glad you did. I can fit 100 different utilities and programs into that 8 megs of RAM and still have 1.2 megs of space left for data and other stuff. This is a lot of extra real estate and you'll appreciate having it down the road.

The other great thing about the Handsprings vis-a-vis the Palms is the Springboard slot. You might not need it now, but the capability to add another 8 megs of RAM is nice.

But the coolest thing for me is the 8-meg backup module. This device is non-volatile and can be used to backup your data to the module, almost like a hard disk. That way if you have to do a hard reset sometime, you can get all your programs and data back. (There is a gotcha here--just make sure you remember to copy over the module's backup program to the module itself.)

The module comes with software that allows you to manage all your files and programs. You can copy one file or everything at a time. Great for on the road or wherever.

A couple of reviewers here have commented that the Visors are 30% to 50% faster based on their benchmarking programs compared to the Palms. I haven't tried running these benchmarks myself, but I would say just looking at the screen refresh rate on a Palm Vx compared to the Visor Deluxe, you can see it is at least 25% faster.

Another thing about the screen, although it isn't a big difference, the Visor screens look a little brighter to me than the Palms. Considering that you're looking at blackish-green font characters on a pea-soup colored, greyish-green background on these little devices, every little bit of extra visibility helps.

I also like the parallel lines on the side of the case, which make it harder for the unit to slip out of your hand, compared to the Palms.

The Visor's ability to hot-sync via USB interface makes this process significantly faster than on the Palm devices. Another plus.

My only reservation about the Visors compared to the Palms is that the Palm OS resides in flash ROM, which means you can update it yourself. The Visor's is in ordinary ROM, so you are stuck with the current version. The Palms are shipping with Palm OS 3.5, the Visors with 3.1. Although OS 3.5 represents an advance over 3.1, this shouldn't be a big deal, as the older OS has a reputation for being more stable.

Whatever Visor model you decide to buy, you'll be happy you did. These PDA's actually make it fun to get organized. Try one and you'll see how good it feels knowing everything is in one place where you can find it, instead of in three different notebook-style organizers and 40 Sticky Notes on the walls of your office.

Also, the ability to search all the internal databases is a very powerful feature. How many times with your regular organizer (or worse, on notes scattered around your office) have you tried to find a particular memo or note but couldn't find it? The search feature eliminates this problem. And there are even more powerful search utilities than the native app that you can add on that will do more, such as accepting wild cards. The value of this feature relative to the normal binder/organizer cannot be overestimated.

At these fire-sale prices, the Visor Deluxe is a steal for folks who have missed out on the PDA revolution because of the cost.

It wasn't that long ago that this model was selling for twice the price, following the latest deep discounts.

Make no mistake, with a little patience, this is a device that will change your life. After a transition period, you will be able to toss away your Rolodexes (I used to have three) and your paper calendars.

First the two weak points (and the reason why this doesn't get 5 stars):

-The Visor Deluxe has 2 AAA batteries instead of a rechargeable battery. You have to replace them every couple of weeks of medium to heavy usage, which can cost $20 a year.

-The case is relatively bulky, although it will still fit in a shirt pocket.

Now, for the many advantages:

Unlike the bargain-basement Palms, the m100 and the m105, the Handspring Visor Deluxe, and all other Handspring products, have a FULL SIZE SCREEN. I returned my m105 (a gift) after a week of squinting.

I can't emphasize that enough. With a monochrome screen to begin with, and the built-in difficulty of pointing and clicking on a Palm device, size matters.

BTW, unless Handspring cuts the price of the Visor NEO, it is not worth the extra bucks just for a faster processor. All Handspring models also have an expansion slot for adding everything from memory to a cell phone to GPS. You will also need the Visor Deluxe's 8MB (the regular Visor and Palm m100 model only come with 2MB) if you want to run some of the cooler downloadable programs for your Palm. Three free programs that I use all the time are Mapopolis (free maps from mapopolis.com, streets are searchable), Vindigo (a restaurant and city guide with movie reviews and showtimes at vindigo.com), and Avantgo (a news service where you can get the likes of The New York Times, the Weather Channel and CNN on your Palm).

If you want to stay with Palm, but can spend a few dollars more, consider the Palm Vx. Although lacking in expansion slots, it comes in a super-slim package with a rechargeable lithium battery and a full-size screen.

I recently bought one for my wife and another for me. The Vx's downside is that it comes with a slow serial cradle instead of the Handspring's speedy USB.

I also have a friend who is very happy with his snazzy, expandable new m505, but in that price range I think a PocketPC might make more sense. Here's a basic product guide:

Palm m100/Handspring Visor -Bargain basement models with 2 MB of Ram. Good starter models for the price.

Distinguishing characteristics: Visor has significantly larger screen, expansion slot and fast USB cradle. Palm has slower serial.

Palm m105/Visor Deluxe -Workhorse models with 8 MB of Ram (plenty for monochrome models). Visor Deluxe has bigger screen/USB/expansion slot, and is, for now, cheaper.

Palm m125/Visor Platinum/Visor NEO/Sony Clie Monochrome -Upper middle class models. Visor Platinum and NEO have larger screen. All have USB/expansion slot, although Sony's slot is only good for memory. NEO and Platinum are virtually identical. Sony has lithium rechargeable battery, others don't.

Palm Vx -Classic, not significantly expandable. Smallest full-function PDA with lithium rechargeable battery. Still the standard.

Visor Prism -Cheapest and brightest color Palm-branded OS, but bulky for its pricetag.

Visor Edge/Palm 500/505/Visor Pro/Color Sony's...consider buying a Pocket PC instead, unless prices drop substantially.

I bought this USB hub for the sole purpose of providing supplemental power to an external hard drive. The hard drive is a Western Digital passport that has 3.0/2.0 capabilities so this hub was ideal. The PS3, like many laptops, does not have the power to support some of the larger external drives that exist. It is self powered (AC plug included) and it can also support 3.0/2.0. The only downside to this unit, and it is not enough to reduce my rating, is that the USB hub is not powered all of the time. The hub is only active when the primary USB output is activated. Having power full time would be nice for charging controllers, iPods, etc. Overall a great product that works great.

I was looking for a piece of hardware to tie all my USB 3 devices to my PC and I found it! I wish PC manufacturers would just re-route a wire our two and give us more USB 3 ports but I would guess the Sales dept. tells them different, so we do what we can (the difference between USB 2 and 3 is substantial). I have tied my 2 external USB 3 drives to my PC and the powered hub has also provided 2 extra ports to re-charge my wireless mouse and keyboard as well. Just add a HDMI cable to my system and I have a fully functional media center, 3D modeling tool, and full internet access through my laptop. All in all, an excellent solution.

The only thing that could make my Zoom Q3HD video recorder more useful would be an external battery pack, so I purchased one only to discover that I could not find the appropriate cable to connect the battery pack to the recorder. When I contacted Zoom, their only comment was that they did not support the use of an external battery pack. I did a quick search on Amazon and found that Gomadic could provide the power cable that I needed. Picked the MicroDrive up months of debating, and I'm thrilled with how well it works in my Canon PowerShot G5. The 2gigs will hold over 780 5 megapixel super-high res pictures or 550 raw-mode pictures. Enough to go an a two week vacation and take as many pictures as I want without lugging a laptop.

With my old compact flash card writing the camera buffer out after a burst mode of 5 pictures took 40 seconds, with the MicroDrive it takes 20 seconds. The MicroDrive is much faster than any CF card I've used before.

I'd recommend this if you have a high end camera like my PowerShot G5 and need to take a massive amount of pictures without swapping cards or being near a computer.

The Hitachi 2gb Drive works great in my Olympus 8080z. The performance is equal or better than the SanDisk Flash that I replaced. I can take over 500 highest resolution pictures on the 2gb MicroDrive.

The MicorDrive was recognized immediately when I plugged it in my computer. The download speeds were fast.

I have not thoroughly tested for power consumption. Todate I have taken a hundred plus pictures with a mix a flash on the original charge of the camera battery. So far the power consumption does not seem to be much different then the flash memory.

It is less expensive to purchase the Hitachi 2gb drive vs a 2gb flash memory card.

I highly recommend purchasing the Hitachi Microdrive.

I bought the 2GB microdrive for my Canon 20D. Many people advised me not to do so. They told me that they are unreliable because of the moving parts [that spin]. They also told me that the microdrive will really suck up your battery. I can happily report that I have not encountered any problems with the microdrive and there are no disappointments here. Why spend more money for a Lexar CF when this product is just as good and sells for a heck of a lot less?

The capacity of this card is huge and it should be a neccessity to all 20D users.

UPDATE: I've been using this card now since January '05 and still no problems!!! I'm glad I bought this microdrive instead of a plain old CF card... the microdrives are significantly cheaper and so reliable. You can't go wrong with this!

A few things with this cover...

1) the color of the case under the paint is white so any little scratch shows up.

2) the paint wore off just from putting it in and out of a pocket in my purse (nothing else in the pocket)

3) the edges of the bottom cover stuck out a little bit so your hand scratches against it. I had to take a file and file them down. Then I had a bunch of white showing so I had to color over it

4) the pattern is wrong so the stripes on the front and back are on opposite sides

5) One drop (from 2 ft onto my driveway) and the snap pieces on the top of the back cover broke off and it was unusable.

i bought these becuase they were the only ones i could find to replace the stylus i use. the picture shows the stanton simble on the side... i believe this to be misleading. the actual product as no symbol and looks like it was made in someones basement. the sound quality is poor... the low end sounds terrible. i would suggest if your trying to be cheap and just buy replacment stylus that you look somewhere else or buy a whole new cartrige. do not buy these they suck!

When needed, this replacement stylus is a must. It's easy enough to mount onto the cartridge & tone arm, and the back up is well worth the effort.

I carry this charger in my purse and use it all the time when my phone battery runs low. It's a lifesaver. I'm shocked to read these other reviews from people finding it to be a useless piece of garbage. I'm thrilled to have mine and have had nothing but the best performance from it. Or maybe they forgot to turn the switch to the OFF position when not in use so that the charger doesn't drain. It's important to remember to do that. This charger could only charge my Samsung S2 about 50% of the way before it needed to be plugged back in and recharged itself.

It worked for me about seven times before going completely dead. Its pretty useless, I will remember the ZAGG brand name after this and avoid it.

The case itself is well made. The rubber doesn't feel cheap. The case doesn't add too much bulk to the handset itself.

If you didn't notice on the pictures, the case has holes for the noise cancellation feature of the phone; which is one of the reasons I picked this case.

I do not use the holster (wearing your phone on your belt is just tacky) so I can't vouch for its quality.

Wonderful seller. Never had a more positive buying experience in my life! I bought an Emergency Battery Extender for the Amazon Kindle 1. The very next day, my Kindle broke (got stepped on). I immediately went to Amazon's website and bought the latest Kindle 3.

Bought this micro SD card about 6 months for my smartphone. Stopped working all of a sudden. Tried it on my laptop and was not even recognized. Fortunately had all original packaing so very easily went to Transcend's website to get an RMA form. Shipped the product with the form, a few days later I get a package back. Well: they sent me the memory back with a little sticker pointing to a MICRO SCRATCH ON THE PLASTIC, BARELY VISIBLE WITH THE NAKED EYE. They sent a form letter with a check mark next to "physical damage to product" and a parapgraph quoting their warranty. I couldn't believe it. I was not even awre there was a superficial scratch evidnetly from normal wear and tear until they sent this thing back to me. I literally had to get my wife's reading glasses to find this. Then I decided to take a picture of it with a MACRO lense so I can show everyone here what it is but can't seem to find how to post a picture here (if interested send me a note or comment here and I can email you the pictures). I really really wish I could post the pictures here because you will literally fall on your behind laughing!

Bottom line, Transcend is cheaper because they skimp on quality and look for anything they can hang on to to avoid honoring a warranty. Talk about buyer beware! Pay a few bucks more and get a reputable known electronics company to get your memory from!!!!

Today I returned home from a trip and found a couple of things. 1) A phone message from the Sales Manager at Transcend and 2) An overnight envelope containing a brand new 32GB chip and a personal letter from the sales manager. From his writing, it was evident he was not happy about what had happened and surely not happy about how this was handled by the warranty/support department and indicated he had already followed up with them. So, Transcend did make it right in the end. It did take 3 full months and evidently the attention of this thread caught their eye. I have decided not to remove the original review becuase it is in the end the story of my experience, and even though it did end up right, it did take an internet 'rant' and months to call attention to this poor customer experience. I will soon give the sales manager a callback to indicate my appreciatino of his effort as well. I will say I have worked in product support for over 2 decades at a major software company and no support/warranty department is perfect. Others may and will run into similar issues with any other company it is how you respond to the customer when problems happen that makes a difference, always. If you are wondering, yes, the attention of the Sales manager has made a difference in my opinion of their customer care and even though this did leave me with very little desire to come back as a customer, I will still give them praise for eventually making it right.

For price, warranty, speed, and dependability, look no further. This is the best of the bunch. To be fair, it is not perfect. There are pros and cons.

PROS

1. The unit comes with an SD adapter. As a result, it is usable for many electronic devices.

2. The speed is fast for a Class 4.

The write speed range is between 2.8-5.3 mb/s. Most of the write activity is at 4.0 mb/s.

The read/data transfer rate is between 13 and 25 mb/s. Most of the transfer activity concentrates at 19 mb/s.

I use this storage device in my Sansa MP3 Player. I can not tell the difference in speed between the built-in 8 gb. internal memory or the Transcend 32 gb. In fact, I prefer the recordings on the latter. The music sounds better.

3. It is the only product with a lifetime limited warranty. So, the material and construction have to be high quality. . . . Transcend is not stupid. Too many defects and short life make the product unprofitable to sustain.

4. The manufacturer is a multi-billion Taiwan based firm. It is not a "fly-by night" company that is going to disappear and not fulfill its legal service obligations.

5. The bulk of Amazon.com reviews on this product is good, with the exception of two or three who received their products D.O.A. All other consumers are very happy with their purchases.

CONS

1. The true storage volume is 29.7 gb., not the advertised 32 gb.

2. Transcend does not market a Class 6 or 10 MicroSDHC, but three other Amazon.com vendors do at very good prices. Of course, there are issues with their products.

For $15 more, PNY has a Class 10 with 32 gb. The customer reviews are not as good as the Transcend product, and it has a one-year warranty. . . . Again, Class 10s, as a group, are known to have read and write problems. This is true for all brands. So, until the industry improves on the stability issues that are inherent in Class 10s, it may be better to avoid them.

3C Pro sells a Class 6 with 32 gb. Customer reviews are better than Transcend. Unfortunately, the company is not listed on Google.com and does not have a website, although many online companies sell its products. Its biggest problem is product warranty. There is none. This was verified by Amazon.com's customer service.

Komputerbay markets a Class 10 with 32 gb. with a lifetime warranty. One set of Amazon.com customer evaluations gave high ratings, while another gave average marks. Despite the reviews, I never heard of this company so I conducted an online investigation. The firm is a small importer of Chinese-made electronic devices. It buys up cheap stuff and sells them under its brand. The quality is not consistent because the manufacturing sources vary. As a result, there are consumer complaints listed on the internet.

I bought this Transcend 32GB MicroSD card for use in my 7" Galaxy Tab. It's a class 4 speed, which means that it has to have a read/write speed that is at least 4MB/s sustained. I clocked mine at around 4.5MB/s to 5MB/s which is consistent with their claims. It's been working well in my Galaxy Tab and I really can't complain. I've had great luck with Transcend brand memory cards in the past. They are cheap, reliable, and high quality cards. I don't think I've ever had one fail on me yet. I like that this card comes with an included adapter that lets you use this as an SDHC card too. This means that you can use it in Micro-SD and regular SDHC devices.

Here is some more information about SDHC cards and speed classes. This excerpt is taken from my own review of the 8GB Transcend SDHC card.

IMPORTANT SPECIAL NOTES ABOUT SDHC MEMORY CARDS:

-SDHC cards are not compatible with most older SD cameras, SD devices, or SD card readers.

-SDHC cards are rated by speed using different "classes". There are currently 4 data transfer speed classes available for SDHC cards. These classes are "class 2, class 4, and class 6, and the new class 10. For example, "Class 2" would have the slowest read/write speed while "Class 10" currently has the fastest read/write speed. So if you have a device in which speed may play a crucial role, make sure you buy a higher "class" SDHC card. Please note that this SDHC card no longer has the fastest read/write speed available. There is now a new class, called "Class 10". Class 6 has a minimum read/write speed of 6MB/sec... while Class 2 has minimum speed rating of 2MB/sec, and Class 4 is 4MB/sec. Starting to see the pattern?

-SDHC cards are not only for digital cameras. Any device that is compatible with SDHC cards should work with this card. Just make sure that it takes a full-sized SDHC card. For example, there are some devices that use smaller cards... like Micro-SDHC or Mini-SDHC. If you have a Micro-SDHC or Mini-SDHC card already and want to use it in a full sized SDHC device, you can buy an adapter that can make those cards larger so that they can fit into a full sized SDHC card slot. However, you cannot make a full size SDHC card fit into a Micro-SDHC or Mini-SDHC slot.

SO WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN "SD CARDS" AND "SDHC CARDS?

SDHC is basically an upgrade to the older SD cards. The reason they upgraded it was to achieve greater data transfer speeds AND capacity than previously possible with normal SD cards... and to do this, they had to redesign the card (which is why it's not compatible with normal SD devices). This was necessary because digital cameras and digital video cameras these days have higher resolutions, which equate to larger file sizes and faster data transfer needs.

Now that many digital cameras also can record HD video, you may consider getting a larger capacity card because video takes much more space than photos. The size of the video varies from camera to camera depending on what resolution and video compression the camera uses. If you plan on taking lots of video (especially HD video), I would consider getting at least a 16GB card. Check your camera specifications to see how many minutes per Gig of memory your camera can capture ...to gauge how big of a memory card you'll want to get to meet your needs.

Special Note on regular SD Cards:

If you primarily take casual photos and don't need a exceptionally fast read/write capable card, you should know that newer cameras that take "SDHC" cards will also work with older normal "SD" cards. These older cards are cheaper than the new SDHC cards, so this may be something to consider. So to sum things up, newer cameras will take SDHC and regular SD cards, but older cameras that use SD cards may not be able to use SDHC cards. This is because newer technology is usually made to be compatible with older technology (the technical term used to describe this is "backwards compatibility") ... but older technology may not have the hardware necessary to run newer tech (technical term used is "obsolete"... just kidding! ;)

Like most, I went for the fastest card when I got my new phone. I figured class 10 was faster than class 4, so it must be better, right? Wrong. It turns out that a card tuned for fast sequential performance has slow random performance on small files. A class 10 card is great for a HD camcorder because it's always writing a large amount of data sequentially. It sucks for a phone or tablet using the card to randomly store lots of small files.

The CrystalDiskMark scores I got with the Transcend class 4 32GB card are (100 MB transferred):

seq: 22.9 MB/s read, 4.3 MB/s write

512k: 22.0 MB/s read, 1.3 MB/s write

4k: 3.3 MB/s read, 1.3 MB/s write

In contrast, here's the 16GB class 10 card it's replacing:

seq: 21.8 MB/s read, 12.0 MB/s write

512k: 21.5 MB/s read, 0.9 MB/s write

4k: 5.7 MB/s read, 0.008 MB/s write (yes 0.008)

So read speeds are roughly the same, with the class 10 having a small advantage with small files. Write speed of the class 10 is about 3x faster on sequential files, but the class 4 is a whopping 160x faster with really small files. Unless you're writing lots of big files to the card (e.g. recording video), avoid the class 10. The class 6 and 4 cards offer much more balanced performance.

I dont do reviews.. I think this might be my first. But I consider myself pretty tech savi. I was upgrading from 16 gig class 2 microsd. It transferred at about 3.4 megabytes a second to my PC. I looked at alot of micro SD cards and I usually do my homework before making a purchase. This one is the best for its $$$ in terms of capacity (32 gigs, reads 29.7) and speed (class 4). I get a transfer speed of 9 megabytes a seconds (which is nuts for a class 4! class + # = speed in Megabytes which can vary though depending on quality etc.), when I go into my phone, images/videos load up 3 times faster, it used to take me like 1 min to load 88 image thumbnails. Now it takes like 3-10 seconds. Highly recommended, transcend is sort of a well known name brand. Quality wise.. will if t breaks within the first year, Ill be posting here again.

A side note. dont go for the class 10 cards, they are unreliable and i read reviews that they break fairly easy. Unless its a great name brand and not some Unknown KompPlus yada yada company. I think itll be fine. Also class 10 on smaller size microsd should be more reliable.
