I replaced a defective HP printer for my home office business with this C320dn. Other than not being able to find toner for it locally, I have been very pleased. I use it for colored business documents as well as some photo printing on standard paper. The print quality and reliability of this printer are consistently good. I have probably run 15,000 pages of paper through it so far and there was only one ream of paper where I had feed problems. I would definitely purchase this product again, although next time I will most likely upgrade to a Ricoh machine that runs larger paper sizes.

I ordered this printer because my other color laser printer had broken. Of course, technology moves so swiftly that there were no spare parts or people willing to repair it. So I abandoned that printer which had become a large paperweight and went online researching printers.

This printer came with rave reviews and was reasonably priced for my small business needs. I am fairly technologically savvy. So, when I receive new hardware I never have problems setting it up. Further, I have Mac products which usually speak well with peripherals. that was not the case here. After three days of attempting various fixes suggested by the online guides, I was finally able to contact tech support. It was extremely frustrating as they told me without having purchased a service contract they could not talk to me--even to merely install the device! Rather than go through a litany of the miserably poor support they offer and the rudeness of their phone staff, suffice it to say I finally got to someone who was in fact helpful ...but it took three days! Ultimately, after I got it working, the print quality was marginal for color prints. So, it was determined that the product was defective. After my terrible experience with the support to their customers I did not choose to replace the defective product with another printer from Ricoh.

If you decide to purchase this, I hope you have better luck!

After seeing the available options at my local B&N, I decided to check out Amazon for a better selection. I spent hours trying to find a case that would be to my liking because I didn't want to have to shell out more $ for another cover. Finally decided on this cover, so glad I did! I definitely made the right decision, I love it!

I just would like to point out that the Nokia 808 pureview fits perfecty in it, however, if you use one of those gel covers, it will fit like a tight shoe, but, yes , it does fit. If you use a hand strap, remove it, phone and strap won't fit together unless you leave the strap out of the case passing it through an open space at the bottom of PDair V01, to do this, you will need a tool. You won't be able to pass it through the open space using only your fingers. To use your phone, you will have necessarily to remove it out of the case. I've been using this RooCASE for over a month . I am very pleased with it. The case has a seperate leather frame with a thick felt backing that has Velcro attached to adhere to the inside of the portfolio. A magnetized back flap to prop up the tablet and case to a vertical viewing position between 90degs to 45degs. The case has two zippers that securely close the case for easy portability. Several pockets are located adjacent to where the tablet is attached, for note paper and other small items. I keep a small note pad and my instructions, as well as a spare screen cleaning cloth stowed in the pockets. Also, an elastic loop is located in the interior fold to store a pointer, pen or pencil.

All buttons and plugs are clearly accessible when the A700 is inserted into the leather frame. Cameras and light sensor are provided with necessary windows. The A700 frame must be detached from the case by seperating its Velcro fastener to use the 5Mp camera. The stereo speakers are completely unobstructed.

I have the portfolio propt up on my knee, as I am reclined, while writing this review. The quality of the rooCASE Executive Portfolio is outstanding. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

I held out from buying a PDA for a while I didn't want to give up the farm for one but I also wanted one that would do a little more than be an electronic datebook. I did a fair amount of research and decided on the CLIE S320. (BTW, I recommend pdabuzz.com) Now that I have had it for a month, I feel even more convinced that I bought the best PDA in the under $200 catagory.

In general, the unit offers all of the features I was looking for at this relatively basic level: address book, date book, memo pad, beam function, expense report, and helpful/fun software like zagat's restaurant guide. The CLIE functions well/as expected in all of these catagories.

Here's what sets it apart as far as the under $200 goes:

-the backlighting is terrific; they basically use indiglo. I don't know of any others at this price range that have such effective backlighting.

-memory stick function makes it VERY easy to add an incredible amount of additional memory (right now, up to 128mb)

-comes with a very sturdy cover that protects it very well; it works like a flip cover, which took a little getting used to, but the hard cover protects the screen well.

-jog dial makes it very easy to access information with one hand

-best of all, the CLIE is RECHARGEABLE. All other under-$200 require batteries. Sure, you can buy rechargeable batteries, but I love the fact that I can plug it into the wall and in about an hour have it fully charged up.

I do not have big demands for my PDA I am using it for fairly straightforward functions. In this light, I am EXTREMELY happy with what I've gotten and the features on the CLIE surpassed any other under-$200 model I could find. Especially for someone looking for their first PDA, this one comes HIGHLY recommended.

I originally ordered a Palm m105, but after I read the reviews on this little jem, I sent the Palm right back to Amazon!

Let me tell you, this PDA is incredible. The best one you can buy for the $150 $300 price range, and I have seen almost every Palm based PDA and this is tops. Amazing reliability and battery life. I constantly use the backlight for various things when I am in low light areas, and it is a very cool, indigo type color that is extremely easy to look at. The screen is sharpest I have seen for 160x160, and the screen size itself is larger then the m105 and m125, both palm products.

Another thing which makes this a top PDA is its expandability. Sony has jumped on the market with better planning then any other company, releasing addons, upgrades, and peripherals at a steadier pace then any other company selling Palm powered devices.

Slot for memory stick gives this virtually unlimited memory if you buy the sticks, which are not too pricey.

Reliability has been great, with no problems at all. Had to do two hard resets because of bad software, but it was not the fault of the Clie.

Recommendations could not be stronger, everything about this PDA is outstanding. And for the people who need to get second glances, the looks of this are tops for any handheld device using the Palm OS.

Because of a fried hard drive on my laptop (courtesy of the Newark airport security check), I used this PDA as my main computer for a month, several hours every day. Here's what I found:

Pros:

* Rechargeable. Sony Clie is rechargeable, which means less weight and no hassle with changing batteries. In addition, the PDA has easily clocked 50-60 hours of work without the need to recharge it. After those 50 hours, the batteries were still half full, but I did not dare to go beyond that. Lastly, the power cord supports a power range that enabled me to recharge Clie in both the US and in Europe.

* Expandable. Sony Clie is by far the cheapest PDA around with an expandable slot for memory stick cards. This makes it a particularly good e-book reader as well, with lots of extra space.

* Durable. I have tested Sony Clie in temperatures from 0F to 85F; always worked perfectly. I dropped it numerous times, and there is still no problem.

* Ergonomic. I never had the same problem as with my palm accidentally turning the unit on. This is a huge battery saver.

* Wheel. The unit has a small wheel, which enables you to navigate without touching the screen. This is excellent for reading e-books, as well as handling other functions with only one hand.

Cons:

* Manual. The bulk of the manual comes only in electronic form, which may inconvenience some of the users.

* Screen. After about 250 hours of usage, the screen is starting to show some scratches. A protective layer is advised.

Overall, Sony Clie is so cheap that even without its movie player and picture viewer it remains the best buy among Palm-based PDAs.

As entry level PDA's go, you will be hard pressed to find a unit better then this one. Compared to the m105 and visor deluxe, all those units pale in comparison. For its price there is no pda that can buy what this clie gives you. Its the only entry level PALM unit that gives you expandability through the memory stick but it is also battery rechargeable. Although the screen is still monochrome and not hi-res like higher end siblings, its screen is still one of the brightest and clearest around. Using SONY's "STAMINA" lithium batteries, this unit just goes on and on.

If you're thinking about buying a PDA for the first time but don't want to spend too much money, forget the m100 series. Go with this unit. You wont regret it.

The CLIE S320 was my third PDA in the sub $... price range and in terms of features and performance, it stands head and shoulders above the competition.

The main thing that makes the S320 such an attractive buy is that it is one of the few (if not the only) PDA in this price range to feature a rechargeable lithium battery. Second, although the display appears to be slightly smaller than on a 100 series Palm, it is easier to read and features a much more usable backlight. Third, it is expandable. The lowest priced expandable PDA made by Palm is the M125, which typically sells for about $... more and does not have rechargeable batteres. Fourth, the jog dial makes it much easier to navigate through the desktop than using the stylus, although it admittedly takes some getting used to.

The only negatives about the S320 is that it does not come with a hotsync cradle, although it does come with a separate sync cable and battery charger. I don't find this to be much more than a minor inconvenience. The display to me appears to be slightly smaller than that of a Palm, but the fact that it is much easier to read and features a better backlight than the Palm more than makes up for it.

I have had only a brief opportunity to compare the S320 to the Handspring Visor series, which I also think is a good buy for the money. To me, the CLIE has a more contemporary look than the Visor's cheap "plastic calculator" look, although they are similar in performance, depending on the Visor model (I'm speaking about the Neo series here).

Overall, Sony has managed to provide a number of good and useful features in the S320 for its price. It can be bought almost anywhere for approximately $.... This one is well worth a look. Unfortunately, I'm selling mine because my wife bought me a Palm M500 for Christmas, a PDA which is only slightly better than the CLIE but costs twice as much.

I have used this phone for over three years. Even when I bought it, it was outdated. By today's standards, it is only barely functional. My old one lasted those three years without problems until it started giving an "invalid battery" message every time I tried to recharge it.. Of course this pretty much made the phone useless. When I bought it I would have rated it 3-star, now it is barely 1-star IMO

When I bought the phone it was $10 and included service time. I would not even spend that much for it today.

The phone was servicable, but it has major drawbacks:

*It "pants dials" random numbers if you put it in your pocket, purse etc since the keyboard is wide open.

*Its display was ok in its day, but it is inadequate for anything but the most minimal usage

*It has no camera.. of any kind

*Reception on it is pretty marginal. If I didn't talk by the window in my apartment I could not keep a connection

*It has no bluetooth function to allow pc communication (which will save YOU money) and cannot be used for handsfree phonesets..much safer

*With just normal use the battery only lasts a day or two.. even on standbye it will not last 5 days without a recharge.. and if the charge is low, you'll be lucky to even get 5 minutes of talk time before you have to plug in

*The talk volume is just adequate.. if noisey around you won't understand the caller or they won't understand you

I note also that they are being sold used. If you plan to use it on Tracfone, be SURE to call Tracfone IN ADVANCE and be sure you can use it.. especially if you plan on using SIM info from your phone. Generally it cannot be done.

Parents.. please! Don't stick your kids with this phone.. they'll be the butt of their friends jokes... even if you want the minimum at least spring for the LG 420G Pre-Paid Cell Phone for TracFone with Bluetooth Black Unlimited double minutes!. No matter which phone you pick, the per minute cost is the same.. so let 'em have at least a smidge of status! :D

About the OS:

Palm OS is actually the standard OS on handhelds (most like Windows on the desktop). This handheld includes a desktop PIM(personal information managers) as well as software to sync with Microsoft Outlook.

There are thousand of programs available for the palm OS add such as enhanced PIM , Personal finance program to syncronize with MS Money and Quicken as well as office suites and games.

Hardware:

Zire has a very stilish design it is almost as small as a Palm M515 or clie T 665. Also this handheld as all Palm branded handhelds is build to last with a tought elegant casing.

It is compatible with Windows and Machintos desktops. The only limitations I find in this computer are that it only has 2 MB of memory (but I am a power user), for most peple 2 MB is plenty to store thousand of addresses as well as and office suite and other programs. Another minor limitation for gammers it that there are only four buttons.

Sumarry:

The zire is arguably the best possible solution for someone just entering the world of handhelds. This is the best entry level handheld computer for the money

Although I rush to buy new tech stuff and have a lot of it, I hadn't really wanted to pay the going rate for a PDA...especially since I'm retired and don't need anything to keep me organized. But when Palm intro'd the Palm Zire for [$], I couldn't resist. The main reason I bought it, besides the price, is that I wanted to be able to carry my address book with me. This works great for that, and it was very easy to transfer my main Windows address book to the Palm. It's also very easy to use. I can stick it in my pocket for notetaking, etc. Consequently, I find I'm using it more and more for errands, memos and 'to do' lists.

The only drawback is that the screen is not backlit, and while the contrast is adjustable and the screen easily visible in bright light, it's hard to see under regular lamplight. As I become more dependent on this, I can see I will probably want to upgrade...exactly the marketing strategy Palm had in mind.

Oh, and don't waste your money on Palm's PDA carrying case. It's made of a heavy, soft, kind of smelly plastic that takes away all the lightweight advantages of the small Palm Zire. You can find much nicer ones for much less online at places like eBags.com.

The new Zire Palm is essentially an updated version of the Palm m100, with the following changes:

* An even !Smaller! screen.

* A new, stylish form factor.

* A rechargeable battery.

* A funky new name.

All of the other limitations of the m100 still exist. The memory is not upgradeable, and 2MB is pathetically small, allowing for only the most basic address and scheduling functions. The three PALM programs that I consider essential would overwhelm this puppy. They are: Mapopolis (a mapping program from Mapopopolis.com with keyword-searchable street maps), Avantgo (an online news service that downloads articles to your palm) and Vindigo (a restaurant, movie and city guide).

The lack of memory is riduculous, especially considering that the m105 model that this also replaces has 8 MB and a slightly larger screen!

Believe me, screen size matters when you are pointing and clicking on a tiny keyboard on your Palm. And this has to be the smallest screen yet.

To me, this model is only for those misguided and poor folks who would have bought the now-discontinued m100 model but want a rechargeable battery. There are far better models out there for only a few more bucks. You can still find some of the excellent Handspring Visor leftover models around for about the same price, which feature the large screens and 8 MB. And Sony's CLIE line of Palm OS handhelds basically now own the middle of the PALM product line.

Here's a basic PALM product guide:

Zire/Palm m100: Bottom of the line. Designed to suck you in but leave you wanting more. Think of this as the Chevy Chevette of Palms. Plagued by small screens.

Palm m105: The 8MB version of the m100. Fine, except needs batteries and plagued by small screen.

Palm 125: Ooh, expansion slot that you will probably never use. Still plagued by small screen.

Palm 130: Adds color, lithium battery to m125. Not bad, but screen still small, low res.

Palm m500: Still the standard for monochrome Palms. Lightweight, with a clear, large screen and a classic form-factor that gave the company its name. 8MB, expandable, lithium-polymer battery. Triple-Aces.

Palm m505: Discontinued color model features horrible washed out color screen. AVOID.

Palm m515: Soon to be discontinued Color PALM. Very good, but no Palm TUNGSTEN T.

Palm TUNGSTEN T: The top of the line. Finally, Palm builds a PALM that can compete with a Pocket PC. Too bad they priced it like one too. Triple Aces design, with fabulous ergonomics, fantastic high-res active screen, battery, bluetooth, and drop-down graffiti pad.

For competitors, check out the new Handspring Treo models, which feature thumbpads and a small form factor (some with phones), and the Sony CLIE line. The CLIE models, which start at just over a hundred clams, have a nice form factor, and upper-level models feature the best high-res color screens for generally less than what you'd pay for a similar PALM-branded model. CLIE's feature memory-stick slots and lithium batteries. But I've heard Sony's customer service is weak compared to Palm's easy-as-pie returns. These things do break from time to time, so keep that in mind.

I am a 13 year old kid who bought this pda with my mowing money for school. This is a very good PDA for its price. It has a nice B&W touch screen and looks cool. It has an Adress book, date book, memo pad, note pad (you can draw stuff on the screen with this), 13 digit calculator, clock & alarm, expense, to do list, and security. A cd comes in the package that has palm desktop software (synchronising stuff), and mine hunt, giraffe, hardball (like pong), and puzzle 15 (theese are all games that you put on the pda through the desktop software). This is a very good pda for anyone who wants one thats cheap in price, but not in quality.

This is a nicely made case and I'm happy enough with it. . The front cover does not fold flush to the back of the case when you have the Kindle open to read, which I'd gotten used to with my old Kindle case. It also has no elastic straps to make sure it stays closed, which you can see in the pictures.

My biggest complaint is that I wish it had a loop to hold a stylus. I have to keep mine clipped to the front, which makes me afraid I'll lose it.

The actual calculator itself is stunningly powerful. It is faster than the TI-92, the full keyboard makes it easier to work with than the TI-89, and the ability to solve, factor, work with imaginary numbers, give exact answers, as well as do all of these things symbolically, plus the amazing applications included (a version of Geometer's sketchpad!), make this the best calculator made by TI.

Just beware that some standardized tests and some teachers will not let you use this calculator.

The biggest drawback is the documentation that is supposed to help you utilize the power of this calculator. There really isn't any. There's a short manual that's included in the box, but it only gives you the broad overview of how to put the batteries in and how to turn it on and off.

To find any information on how to, say, type something in that you want to factor, you have to load up the cd-rom, and hunt around on that thing to find the information you want.

Why don't they include all of this documentation along with the calculator in an actual book form? (Okay, so I know the answer to that it saves money for them.)

It's a huge hassle if I'm at class, or work and want to be able to use some function, I have to wait to figure it out until I can get home and load up the cd-rom, find the right page, etc....not to mention that the documentation on the CD-rom isn't that helpful either. There's lots of discussion of stuff, but it is very hard to understand.

A great calculator, but awful documentation that makes learning how to use all of its powerful functions frustrating and annoying.

Plain and simple, I love calculators. Yes, I have both Matlab and Mathematica running on my multiprocessor workstation but calculators have always had a special place in my heart. Since high school, I've firmly been in the HP camp and like many, I think the HP41C remains one of the finest calculators ever made. But the HP legacy started its sad decline with the 28C and the bottom fell out with the HP48G, perhaps the worst calculator HP has ever made. (It literally can take seconds to add two numbers... what could they have been thinking?)

All of that being said, I decided to venture into the TI camp, if only because they still take calculators seriously. I was dubious, however, because their machines seem designed for high school students rather than professional scientists/engineers, and this is reflected in the lack of high-end software packages available for them. Nonetheless, I don't think since the HP41 line have any calculators attracted so much interest or had so large a community built around them as have the recent TIs.

The Voyage 200 is something of a tour de force. It is based on the Motorola 68000, the same processor found in the original Macintosh and many other popular computers. It is programmable both in TI Basic and in 68000 assembly, the latter of which has lead to a rather impressive library of available games and applications that all run amazingly quickly given their platform. This whole software world is somewhat muddled by the fact that TI has released a series of operating system upgrades and patches for this calculator and wading the compatibility waters is very confusing for the uninitiated. (For example, for HP aficianados, it is quite possible to run an extremely well done RPN interface on this calculator, but it requires that you find & download both the RPN assembly program and HW2 AMS 2 TSR support (h220xTSR) if you're using the latest version of the operating system, AMS 2.09. When was the last time you worried about what operating system your calculator was running??)

Another troublesome point about this calculator is the documentation is shockingly bad. Really, it is just plain awful. It comes with a thin, almost useless manual, and you'll have to read through 20+ pages just to find out how to add 1+1. Haven't they ever heard of a "getting started quickly" guide? There are several hundred pages of manuals on CD and on the web, but in general, there are written very poorly indeed. Coming from the world of professionally written documentation for systems like Mathematica and Matlab, I realize just how lucky we are that those companies take documentation very seriously and write far simpler manuals for much more complex systems.

All in all, however, I think the Voyage 200 is the best thing going in the calculator world today. It's wonderful to once again have a calculator whose capabilities are as much fun to discover as it is to use. I doubt I'll ever find time for assembly programming on this beast, but it warms my heart to know that I could.

My first graphing calculator was a TI-83 Plus. What a fantastic calculator! Its ease of use is a real credit to its designers. The TI-89 is more difficult to use than the TI-83, but its not too unnecessarily hard, especially considering its advanced features.

The Voyage 200, however, is a real pain in the you know what. Not only is the Voyage absent a printed manual--this may be the new cost-cutting norm for TI products--but the electronic copy is hard to use. Instead of putting all the main information in one manual like the TI-83, the Voyage 200 design team spread its manual out across 28 individual PDF files, making it nearly impossible to print out a hard copy for reference when you're away from your PC. TI could argue that it was necessary considering the large volume of information, but after perusing the PDFs--replete with numerous examples of duplicated information--I'm sure it was really about a large lack of effort.

With that scolding of the manual designers out of the way, let me say that the features of this calculator are really quite good. When it comes to graphing calculators, TI really does make the best. If you are considering the most powerful graphing calculator on the market right now, it would come down to the TI-89 or this TI Voyage 200. The Voyage 200 is suppossed to be backwards compatible with the TI-89, but I've already found programs that run fine on the 89 but won't run on the 200--I can't understand why since they both use the same Motorola 68000 processor. Personally, if I had it do over again, I'd probably pick the TI-89 because its more traditionally styled case is less conspicuous, its features are easier to use, and it's manual is better written and available in hard copy. But if you want a tiny built-in QWERTY keyboard, a slightly bigger screen, more flash memory, and are not bothered by difficult documentation, then the Voyage 200 is probably your best choice.

Recently received my Voyage 200, and am very pleased with the unit itself. As others have commented, the lack of a decent printed manual is a drawback.

Knowing that the TI-89 Titanium is functionally almost identical to the Voyage 200, I called Texas Instruments and ordered a TI-89 manual. Customer service was very friendly, the manual was cheap ($4.95 + s/h), and it arrived quickly.

TI really should package this manual with the Voyage 200, and maybe they'll start doing it in the future. In the meantime, if you're getting a Voyage 200, just order an 89 manual from TI.

If anyone shows me a calculator who can take more than the 500th power of 2 without scientific notation and rounding -whole number displayed i will buy that calculator.And the Voyage can pass that, depends on memory available. This thing insane to say the least. Do not buy it unless you are a math or physics or related major. Its over kill for trig or algebra. This thing does miracle in my labs for both chem and physics; and in multivariable calculus and differential equations and linear algebra courses it will give you what no book can: answers to every problem. It is so easy to check yourself with this. Thats why its called PLTPersonal Learning Tool. It has everything. The fact that it is a TI and succesor to the 92 Plus speaks for itself. Any HP is a spec of dust compared to this.

I should point out that the Voyage 200 is an upgrade on the 92 plus. Thats why theres no printed manual. Uses same manual as TI 89. But if you go to [websit]you will find alot of stuff on using it.

I bought this case for a 8" NextBook tablet. According to Amazon search it would fit.

Height wise it was fine but it was a bit too short in the width by at least 1/4 inch.

This is the only reason I did not give it 5 stars.

I do plan to return it for exchange.

I would love any recommendations for a case.

Pros:

This computer is no bad at all. Fast, good with multitasking and quiet at night. Front display panel looks like iPad. I loaded MS Office 2010 on it with no issues. Then I loaded other third party programs and still not bad.....Windows 8 is actually very cool. You can still use Windows 7 Desktop interface if you want to and invoke DOS prompt if you are a geek like me. The PC has USB 2.0,3.0 ports and HDMI. It has DVD burner as well. Wireless is built in. 10 points multi-touch has kids screaming with joy when they play cut the rope. Display is amazing. Getting better download throughput on Verizon FIOS with this PC, wonder why....

Cons:

Keyboard feels cheap. Tiny wireless receiver for wireless mouse and keyboard was packaged inside of the mouse. It took me 20 min to find it. :-), but it is probably me....

I received my Gateway all-in-one desktop a couple of days ago (through another seller). It was manufacturer refurbished and came with no quick guide. While the PC was everything I expected and much more, the lack of installation guide almost ruined the whole system. I was impressed with less cables tangling under my desk, though I still have my old Windows Vista Jurassic at the other end of the room that served me well for 5 years. This PC identified and connected to my WiFi instantly. The display is dazzling with the brightness. Then I got to the wireless mouse and keyboard, and my nightmare began in earnest. I installed the batteries in both of them. They both would not work. After 3 hours of fruitless efforts and a couple of emails to the seller (waiting for the response), I finally located a wifi adapter hidden inside the mouse cover, to my dismay. That was before I have screwed up all the configurations inside the PC in all the efforts to troubleshoot. Then back to undo all the crap that I had caused myself. A simple quick guide could have saved me the migraine. Now the mouse, the keyboard and the entire system work just as expected and more. The installed windows 8 and the touch screen are very exciting.

I researched a ton of possibilities. But this price was right and considering I was replacing a 10-yr. old Gateway Windows XP which is still being used by a friend, I decided on the Gateway.
