- Form-fitting case designed to perfectly fit your HP iPAQ 111 Classic Handheld
- Made of anodized aluminum that is strong yet lightweight
- Designed with a clear plexiglass window that protects your HP iPAQ 111 Classic Handheld's screen so you can easily read your display!

- Accessible openings give quick access to button functions, camera, and charging/synchronization port
First, the lid unlatches far too easily. Fortunately, I consistently noticed the unlatched lid before my iPAQ came out of the case.
Second, the belt-clip part attaches to the case via a bolt. The bolt unwinds rather readily from the case. In one instance, it did so to the point of dropping to the ground, to the point of twisting the case, and my iPAQ scattering to pieces (fortunately, there was no damage to the iPAQ, and it still works). This second deficiency caused me to stop using it.I had a metal case from RhinoSkin for a PREVIOUS hp RX3715 iPAQ, but they don't have one for the model 111, so I got one from BoxWave. I'm NOT happy with it. First, it has a clear plastic face that provides limited protection. I'd accidentally stepped on my old RhinoSkin case, dented the face slightly, but it saved my iPAQ. The BoxWave case wouldn't stand up to that. Second, the clear face lets me read the screen, but I have to open the case to do any screen-touch anyway, so it's impractical. Third, I don't like letting other people read what's popped up on my screen when I get a Calendar reminder when the iPAQ is on my belt.
The new case makes it difficult to reach the power button when the front cover is closed and IMPOSSIBLE when the cover is open. It also has useless access holes in the faceplate. The holes apparently allow me to touch various buttons, but again, I have to open the cover anyway to use the device, so these holes only weaken the case and allow more dirt to get in. It even has a hole just to see the "hp" logo on the iPAQ.
The belt clip isn't as good as the RhinoSkin's. I had the same type on a cell phone I lost because the clip doesn't easily lock into place.
Unless RhinoSkin provides a case for the iPAQ 111 soon, I plan to epoxy a metal plate over the clear plastic on the BoxWave case to make it stronger.
I'VE NOW HAD THIS FOR THREE YEARS. I LIKE IT LESS. The aluminum is like putty. The clip to hold the door closed is too soft and I often have to bend it back. Often have to bend whole case to fit the iPAQ. The clear plastic window came off. I'm shopping for a new case because the screw-on belt clip broke off.I was impressed by the quality of this case in particular; it is lightweight and strong, and the inside offers a decent amount of padding to hold your iPAQ in place. My only 'con' is that you are unable to use the touchscreen through the plexiglass window, so you must open the case every time you wish to use the screen. Overall, though, a quality product for a fairly reasonable price :)This case offers great protection for your iPAQ. It allows you to get at the hard buttons for the basic functions, though you have to remove the unit from the case to use it effectively. Fortunately, that's easy.
Note that the clear window on front does NOT allow you to use the screen I made that mistaken assumption.
Overall, it makes my iPAQ feel bulletproof without excessive bulk. I love it!We et alot of wear and tear out of our PDAs on the job. This is a great protective device for them.
