DBTech Mini Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard

DBTech Mini Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard
  • 3-in-1 multimedia wireless keyboard (Keyboard, TouchPad, Laser Pointer)
  • Built-in rechargeable more staying power lithium-ion battery - Advanced lithium-ion battery...
  • Bluetooth wireless receiver includes, within 10M
  • This is a handheld keyboard with back lit - With 26 PCS dazzling bright LED lights to help when...

The keyboard is actually smaller than I was expecting but it works great.

I purchased it to use with a HP Touchpad running CyanogenMod and it fits the job perfectly.

To get the keyboard to pair natively with the android OS you must do the following:

1. Go to the bluetooth pairing screen in android.

2. Turn the keyboard on and set it to scan mode.

3. Select the keyboard and enter the password 0000 when requested.

4. Type 0000 on the keyboard as well. (This step was not listed anywhere.)

The trick is to enter the password on both the keyboard as well as the android device.

I do not recommend the software that comes with the keyboard, it crashes 100% of the time on the touchpad, and the latest version which has been named BlueInput costs $10. In addition the mouse does not work when you use it.

Every feature of the keyboard works as described. Very good price for what you receive. The keyboard charges very quickly over standard USB and holds the charge for a significant period of time. The keyboard itself is backlit very well. The laser pointer is of fairly high quality. It even comes with a bluetooth adapter in the side of the keyboard for systems that do not have bluetooth.

Positives

*Battery charges quickly and retains charge for long periods of time.

*Included Bluetooth adapter.

*Backlit keyboard.

*Mouse with separate left and right buttons.

*Shortcut keys as well as function keys.

*Joypad arrow keys.

*Laser Pointer.

Negatives

*Included software crashes, and upgrade costs $10 and does not work with the mouse.

*Mouse sensitivity is low, and cannot be customized.

*No good/included instructions on how to tether properly with Android.

Fantastic purchase.

This device is made by a company called Riitek. It is really made solid and all the buttons are comfortable and easy to use. If you're looking for a handheld mini wireless keyboard with touchpad this is the product for you. I purchased the Bluetooth version, it has a radio range of about 30 feet. If you're PC/Mac/PS3 has built-in Bluetooth then you don't need anything, just allow your computer to detect the device and it will easily pair up with the flip of the power switch. The device also includes a Bluetooth mini dongle which slides into a compartment along the side of the device. The device has a built-in lithium quick rechargeable battery. Just plug the USB cable into your PC and the device will be charged in less than 20 minutes. It holds a charge for a long time, I have used mine for several weeks and it still has a good charge. It has a backlight keyboard and laser pointer too. It also includes software so you can use it with your Android/Windows Mobile/Nokia Symbian Smartphone. I purchased mine so I could control my PC from my couch while my Sony VAIO F Series computer is connected to my HDTV via HDMI. Now I can surf the net, stream videos and play movies all from my living room couch.

This is a well designed, fully functional, sturdy little device which I use to control a laptop hooked into my TV from across the room. I sit about 20 feet from the PC, and the bluetooth works fine from that distance. There is no interference from other bluetooth devices in the room, nor does it interfere with wireless controls or devices. The buttons are well placed, as is the scroll pad and mouse pad. I haven't figured out a good way to click and drag yet, but I'm sure there's a convenient way to do this as well. Very nice little item, at a good price.

These are small but work great. Paired easily with my children's (ages 7 and 10) Asus tablets (TF300T). I'm an adult with fairly small hands and it seems comfortable for me to use also. Seems reasonably well made. Arrived on time and as described. Would buy again.

I wanted to like this little keyboard, and honestly did for what it is. It connected to my laptop, and Galaxy Note 2 with little trouble. Unfortunately the laser didn't work out of the box. This I'm sure this is just a precursor to what is to come with this product with it eventually failing altogether. After doing some more reading it appears this product suffers from poor product quality control. The item is getting returned, and I'm going to look for an alternative.
