I tried hooking up my eReader with another charger, but it wouldn't work. The battery actually discharged completely before I could get this charger.This item was perfect, works beautifully, charges like a charm and was priced very reasonably. With the description given I had no guess work and I was confident it would work. It arrived early and the eReader charged without a hitch. I carry it with me at all times now and charge in a flash.
